ALL MY CHILDREN

APRIL 19, 2001

Erica: Bianca? Bianca?
Jack: Hi. I saw you drive up. "Oh, hi, Jack. How are you?" Fine. "Good." Nice to see you, too, Erica.
Erica: I was hoping you were Bianca.
Jack: Nope. Sorry. Just me, just the guy that you were supposed to meet at your office a couple of hours ago, yeah?
Erica: Jack, a budget meeting at Enchantment is the last thing on my mind right now.
Jack: Why? What -- what's going on?
Erica: Bianca is missing, ok?
Jack: Bianca's missing? Again?
Erica: Well, she's not exactly missing. I mean, I saw her at the high school just a short time ago. But then all of a sudden she was in a panic and she ran out after Laura English, and I don't know where she is. I can't find her anywhere.
Jack: What's this all about?
Erica: I don't know. Oh, don't look at me like that,
Jack. I'm not being overprotective. Not at all. I am really worried about Bianca. I mean, there was something really wrong with her.

Laura: I've got it.
Laura: So, you going to order something?
Bianca: No.
Laura: Then I guess we'll both watch my coffee get cold.
Bianca: I don't think that caffeine is going to help, Laura.
Laura: Oh, no? Then what will?
Bianca: Help from a doctor or a drug counselor.
Laura: Are you crazy, Bianca? There's no way, ok? There's no way.

Leo: How's my brother?
Jake: Well, Dr. Lambert just finished her consult with him. Can you put Dr. Hayward's file on the desk, please?
Nurse: Sure.
Leo: And?
Jake: She's optimistic about the surgery, Leo.
Leo: And the other thing -- I mean Leslie. I know she tried to OD him with the meds and everything.
Jake: That danger's passed.
Leo: Gee, Doc, don't look so overjoyed.
Jake: You know, it's always such a pleasure to release a pathological jackass back into society, Leo, especially with no long-term side effects.
Leo: David's hardly free, Dr. Martin. He'll probably get sent right back to jail.
Jake: No, no, he'll weasel out of it. I'm quite sure of that. Your brother's going to be free to infect other people's lives again in no time.
Leo: You know, I have this rule.
Jake: Yeah? What's that?
Leo: About, well, not getting my hands dirty. You know, like in a fight.
Jake: And?
Leo: And, well, I'm about to make an exception.
Guard: Break it up!
Leo: Come on, man.
Guard: Break it up, I said!
Jake: Get off me!

[Gillian screams]

Gillian: Oh, God.
Ryan: Gillian! Gillian -- what's going on? Baby, hey, what's up? Come here, come here. What's the matter?
Gillian: Is he breathing? Ryan: No. He's dead.
Gillian: Oh, my God, it's Bart. It's the new security guard Alex and Dimitri hired. How did he die?
Ryan: I don't know. I don't know. His gun's drawn. There's no blood. There's no sign of a fight. I have no idea.
Gillian: I'm going to call 911.
Ryan: What? Hold it. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa --
Gillian: Why? Why not?
Ryan: Because -- because we've got to call Alex and Dimitri first.
Gillian: No, I'll call them after I call the police.
Ryan: No. I think we should call Alex and Dimitri, let them see how we found everything here. Then we'll call the police after, ok? Call the police right after, all right?
Alex, it's Ryan. We have a bit of a situation here in the turret. Yeah, your security guard Bart -- he's dead. All right, we will. They're on their way up here. I'm sorry. Come here, come here, come here. I'm sorry.

Gillian: How did this happen, Ryan? What is going on here?

Guard: That's enough!
Leo: Just let go --
Jake: Let him go.
Guard: Dr. Martin --
Jake: No, we were -- all right, we were having a personal discussion. I can handle it, ok? Just leave us alone.
Greenlee: What's going on, Leo? Are you all right?
Leo: I'm fine.
Jake: So when did you become so sentimental, Leo? I never saw much brotherly love between you and David.
Greenlee: Jake, what is your problem?
Jake: You know, run off to get Dixie, bring her back to your brother's deathbed?
Leo: What was I supposed to do? Just let him give up and die? Is that a technique they teach you in medical school, Dr. Martin?
Jake: Tad and Dixie deserve the chance to make what's wrong between them right again, and every time they get an inch closer to doing that --
Greenlee: Why are you looking at me?
Jake: Because you enable this lightweight! Every time he's about to get busted, you bail him out!
Leo: No, no, don't look at Greenlee! If you've got a problem with me and my brother, you talk to me about it!
Jake: I've got a problem with you and everything you and your family stand for. You go waltzing around this town messing with people's lives and commitments without even a second thought, and I know why you do it.
Leo: Oh, and I suppose you're going to tell me, right?
Jake: Because you have nothing, Leo, and you make nothing. And you're afraid to commit to anything, so you live off other people. And you take everything they've got with no effort. And then you go living up on your high-and-mighty throne, looking down on the rest of us.
Greenlee: What is his --
Jake: Does that description fit well enough, Leo? I think just about like an Italian-made suit, don't it?
Greenlee: All right, that's it. Let's get out of here. You know, I don't know why you're being such a brat, but I'm not happy about it. Come on. Leo --
Leo: So I'm the one with the superiority complex? Is that right? You ever get bored of being the town's moral compass, Jake? Do you ever get tired of walking around telling people who weren't born into the house of Martin how miserable their existence is? Tell me, when you go home at night, do you ever wish that you had something warmer to curl up to than your righteousness?

Erica: Bianca was wonderful. She volunteered. She got the ball rolling. And I think that my presentation on teens against addiction really went very, very well. It went over very well with the students.
Jack: Good, good.
Erica: But then I turned around and Bianca just ran out after Laura English as if there was a problem.
Jack: Well, Honey, they're teenaged girls. They thrive on high drama.
Erica: Do you honestly think that I would be this distressed if I thought it was just teenaged high drama?
Jack: Well, with you, Erica, one never knows.
Erica: Jackson --
Jack: All right, all right. Look, look. Maybe they've had an argument of some kind, or maybe Laura's having some kind of boy trouble and Bianca was worried about her, or maybe --
Erica: What?
Jack: Well, I mean, it's always --
Erica: What, Jack?
Jack: Maybe -- maybe Bianca is interested in someone, you know, and -- I don't know -- I'm making this up at this point.
Erica: Well, I am not making up the fact that my daughter needs my help.
Jack: Well, Honey, don't you think maybe Bianca would come to you if she needed your help?
Erica: You think I'm meddling.
Jack: I didn't say that.
Erica: Well, you think it.
Jack: Erica, I --
Erica: Look, Jack, do I have to remind you? Bianca is not some ordinary girl. I mean, she has been through so much. She's been through the horrors of anorexia, of rehab, the death of her father.
Jack: And a relationship with another girl. Look, I'm just asking you if maybe you're overcompensating with Bianca because you think that maybe if she is interested in someone -- but you know all that that would entail now that you know that she's gay.
Erica: No.
Jack: No, what?
Erica: No, that's not what this is about at all.
Jack: Ok. Well, here's a thought.
Erica: Oh, I can hardly wait.
Jack: I'm thinking maybe Bianca's not missing at all. I'm thinking maybe that whatever the trouble you think she's having, she doesn't think it's a big enough deal to bring it hi to you. And I think if you just back off just a little bit and wait until she needs you, you'd be surprised how quickly she comes to confide in you. And I think that's the face you wear when you know I'm right and you don't want to admit it.
Erica: Do you still have time for that budget meeting at Enchantment?
Jack: Yes, indeed, I do.
Erica: Well, then, let's go. But I swear, if Bianca is not home by the time I get back, I am going to take matters into my own hands.
Jack: Now I'm worried all over again. You only hit me because you love me.

Bianca: Laura, don't freak out. I'm not trying to force anything on you here.
Shannon: Are you guys ok? We were worried.
Bianca: Why?
Shannon: Well, you both ran out of your mother's teen addiction lecture.
Bianca: We're fine, thank you.
Heather: Hmm.
Shannon: There is so a problem there, it isn't even funny.

Bianca: Are you ok?
Laura: I'm like one click away from passing out.
Bianca: That's it. That's it. We're going to the ER.
Laura: No, I can't.
Bianca: Well, too bad. We're going.
Laura: Bianca, I'm not dying.
Bianca: Well, I can't take that chance, ok? I'm low on friends this week. I can't risk one kicking it in the middle of BJ's. Come on. Please.

Mindy: Looks like Bianca's recruiting another one to her team.
Heather: I always knew Laura English was a nympho.
Mindy: Can lesbians be nymphos?
Heather: Are you serious? Shannon, what are you looking at already?
Shannon: Regardez, mes amies. Look what the girlfriends left behind.
Mindy: Is Bianca's journal in there?
Shannon: Nope. But these are.
Mindy: House keys.
Shannon: Let's fly, girlies. We've got work to do.

Dimitri: Alex --
Alex: Poor man.
Gillian: Can you tell what happened?
Alex: No, I can't be sure, but I would say that it was probably a massive coronary.
Gillian: Then why is his gun right next to him?
Alex: Bart was very old school, I think.
Dimitri: Actually, I talked to Bart about this. He -- he promised he'd never have his gun upholstered when the children are present, but he said he was a little too old and set in his ways to change when they weren't around.
Gillian: I think he saw something.
Alex: What?
Dimitri: What do you mean, Gillian?
Gillian: I think he saw something and got frightened and pulled his gun and then had this heart attack.
Ryan: Well, we'll never know that for sure, Gillian.
Alex: Darling, I'm sorry that you had to come in here and find this. But there is no sense speculating on why. It was his time.

Dimitri: Did you say something to her? Does she know about Anna?
Ryan: No. Can't you tell?

Dimitri: Listen, did you see anything that would indicate that there was a problem here? Ryan: Other than the gun at our feet?
Dimitri: All right, listen. Ryan, I know this is difficult for you to lie to Gillian like this, but it's for her own safety. It's for her own good.
Ryan: Yeah, well, for her own good, I'm going to get her out of here today.
Dimitri: I think that's an excellent idea.
Ryan: I hate this, Dimitri. I hate this. I hate lying to my wife.
Dimitri: I know you do. I know. And I thank you for helping in your silence despite your feelings about it. Thank you.

Ryan: What do you say we get out of here. You know, Dimitri and Alex can take care of the police. No reason for us to stick around.
Gillian: "No reason"? Ryan, I found the body. The police will want to ask me questions, won't they?
Ryan: No, no -- if they do, we'll be at the yacht. They know where to find us, so --
Gillian: I'm so sorry.
Alex: Oh --
Gillian: I'm so sorry.
Alex: It's all right.
Gillian: Do you know where to get in touch with his family?
Alex: Yeah, I know who to call. Go on. We'll be fine. Go.

Alex: Oh, dear. We have to tell Anna.
Dimitri: Anna's making such remarkable progress, you know. It's -- I hope she can handle this.
Alex: I'm not sure.
Dimitri: I just -- I just hope this doesn't set her back, you know?
Alex: We can't keep it from her.
Dimitri: No, I realize that. I just hope she'll be all right.

Laura: Bianca, I swear, it passed. I'm feeling much better now.
Bianca: I can hear that you're not breathing right.
Laura: How do you how I breathe right?
Bianca: I know you're not right, Laura. That's enough. You need to get checked out. Come on. Hi. Do we need to sign in?
Nurse: Who's here for help?
Bianca: My friend. She's --
Laura: I have the flu.
Nurse: Fill this out, please. We'll be with you in half an hour.
Laura: Good thing I'm not dying.
Laura: Bianca, this is so lame. I'm fine.
Bianca: Your pulse is up.
Laura: How do you know?
Bianca: I felt your wrist when I dragged you in here. Look, we'll just wait, ok?
Laura: No.
Bianca: Laura, listen to me. I'm afraid that the X you took was cut with something. I've been reading up on this stuff. Sometimes they cut X with stuff that can be really toxic. I'm afraid that you were poisoned.
Laura: I wasn't poisoned.
Bianca: Good. You can ream me out later when the doctor agrees with you.

Shannon: Did you check the back entrance?
Mindy: No one's in the kitchen.
Heather: I checked the windows on both sides. It looks empty.
Shannon: Let's do this.
Shannon: Miss Kane? Bianca?
Heather: Where's all the staff?
Shannon: Shopping, I guess. Ok, listen. You check the driveway. You make sure no one uses the service entrance. I'm going upstairs to Bianca's room. Whistle if you hear anything.
Mindy: Oh, my God! They have chocolate-covered cherries. I love those!
Shannon: If you have chocolate breath when I come down here, Mindy, I'll kill you. Heather --
Heather: Got her. Step away from the candy, Mindy.
Shannon: I need that stupid journal

Greenlee: You thinking about what Jake said to you at the ER.?
Leo: A little.
Greenlee: A lot?
Leo: A lot.
Greenlee: Don't.
Leo: Oh, ok. Done.
Greenlee: I mean it, Leo. Don't let what people say to you get to you. I don't. If I did, I'd be in the fetal position all day long. I wouldn't eat or take a shower.
Leo: Sometimes you just -- you hear stuff.
Greenlee: Like what?
Leo: Like when people are telling you what a jerk you are, sometimes you hear stuff that you need to think about while trying to sift through the haze of wanting to punch their lights out. Look at this -- Humanitarian Award.
Greenlee: Like that's something to aspire to.
Leo: Look at this stuff, Greenlee. He's got sports trophies from the time he was in grade school all the way through college. He's got commendations. He's got certificates of merit --
Greenlee: And he just moved out of his mother's house, like, a week ago.
Leo: Greenlee, he was staying with his parents because he loves them. Sometimes people like to spend time with the people who raised them. Think about that for a minute. I don't have a certificate to my name. The only trophy I've got is one that stole from an ex-girlfriend's father to spite him because he made his daughter break up with me.
Greenlee: Glad he did. Got you closer to finding me.
Leo: I don't have a life, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Oh, come on, Leo.
Leo: I don't! I don't. I have no visible means of income. I move out of my place every other day. People like Jake Martin flick me off their collar like a piece of lint.
Greenlee: And I am completely shallow and superficial. I like the fact that I don't have any books. I can't stand the sight of blood. And I would no more cut short a five-star dining experience to save someone's life than wear last year's spring line in winter. Does that make me less of a person than my current temporary roommate here?
Leo: No. And you're not shallow or superficial, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Thanks.
Leo: See, I don't -- what I don't get is, why would you want to be with someone like me when you could be with someone who has a life?
Greenlee: Because I want to be your life, Leo. I want to know the man I love inside and out, to the core of his soul, and I don't care if what I find there doesn't fit some preset mold of what people say really matters. So Jake can take his box full of trophies and his walls covered with diplomas and die alone for all I care. I have you.
Leo: Do you? Really?
Greenlee: Whoa. All right. Stop it. Just stop right there. Right now, stop.
Leo: Ok, ok, I'm stopped, I'm stopped. Why am I stopped?
Greenlee: You're thinking too much, and you're making me think too much, and you know how my brain hurts when I think too much. We don't do well when we think, Leo. We do great, we do awesome when we feel. So let's just stop thinking. Let's stop talking. Done, finito. Let's get right back to where we were before.
Leo: And what was that?
Greenlee: Right here. I know you, and you know me. And it's ok for both of us.
Leo: Greenlee, you don't know everything about me. You really, really don't.

Mindy: Ah! Erica Kane is home!
Heather: Oh, my God. Are you serious?
Mindy: She just pulled up in the driveway. You should see her car.
Heather: Shannon, Bianca's mom is here!
Shannon: What?
Mindy: Heather, we got to get out of here.

Mindy: Hi, Miss Kane.
Heather: Hello, Mrs. Kane.
Erica: Hello. What's going on? What are you two doing here at my house?

Alex: I think he had a heart attack. He wouldn't have suffered, Anna.
Dimitri: It was his time, Anna.
Anna: He was wearing the shirt I gave him.
Alex: Sweetheart --
Anna: Could you do me a favor?
Alex: Yes, anything.
Anna: Could you give me a few minutes alone with him before you call the police?
Alex: Yeah, we'll be waiting outside.

Anna: I never told anyone your secret -- anyone. And it'll die with me.

Erica: Is somebody going to answer my question?
Mindy: Well, I --
Heather: Bianca and Laura left their backpacks at BJ's.
Mindy: That's it, yeah.
Erica: You saw Bianca and Laura together?
Mindy: At BJ's.
Erica: Yes, I got that.
Heather: We thought they would need them, so we brought them back.
Mindy: Right.
Erica: You mean you thought that Bianca and Laura would come back here together?
Heather: Uh --
Mindy: Oh, no way --
Heather: We knew they would want us to bring them back here even though they were going to the hospital first.
Erica: The hospital? Why? What -- who needed to go to the hospital?
Heather: Actually, I think it was Laura. I heard Bianca say she was bringing her to the ER.
Erica: Really? Why? What's wrong with Laura?
Mindy: Laura looked sick.
Heather: She was in really bad shape.

Erica: Yes, Brooke English, please. She's out of town? Where? Well, is she -- is she checking her voice mail? Yes, please.

Erica: Brooke, this is Erica Kane. Whenever you come back from wherever you are, you should know that my daughter has brought your daughter to the Pine Valley Hospital emergency room. Now, I am leaving myself right now to go see exactly what is wrong.

Erica: Typical. All right, just leave the bags right here because I need to go to the emergency room and see what's wrong with Laura since her own mother can't be found anywhere. Ok, hurry up. Leave them, please. I have to go now. I have to lock up, and I have to go right to the hospital now.

Gillian: I hate that that man is dead. I keep seeing him in there on the floor in our room.
Ryan: I know, I know.
Gillian: That was our special place, and I never felt anything but safe in there, and he had to die in there all alone.
Ryan: You know what? Maybe we should just stay away from there for a little while. We'll go back to the yacht tonight.
Gillian: All right. After dinner.
Ryan: No, I thought we'd have dinner at the yacht tonight.
Gillian: Ryan, we have plans tonight -- we have dinner plans. Don't you remember? With Alex and Dimitri?
Ryan: No, no, no. I am not taking you back there tonight. What -- you know, because of everything that's happened and everything, so soon after.
Gillian: You haven't been honest with me, have you?
Ryan: About what?
Gillian: About Wildwind, about what's going on there. I know you, and I know when you're lying to me, and I want you to tell me the truth right now.

Anna: I suppose I knew all along, really. You were so devoted to me, so selfless. But I knew what you were hiding. And I just could never face -- I'm sorry I couldn't return your love. You were all I had to hold on to for so long, but I don't think you ever really knew how much you meant to me. I wish I could tell you right now. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner.

Anna: Alex -- you can call the police now.

Greenlee: You want to keep thinking, don't you? You want to drag up every rotten thing we've ever done to each other, talk about it, dissect it, figure out why we're such screwed-up losers who have to mess up a great thing, is that it?
Leo: No, Greenlee, that's --
Greenlee: Don't you get it, Leo? I love you. I used to think at I loved Ryan, and before Ryan it was Scott, and before that it was Neil, and I don't even remember why, but I -- I thought I loved them, but I didn't. I never loved anyone the way I love you, and that's why I've been out of my mind about you for months.
Leo: Greenlee, I just don't know if --
Greenlee: What, you think you don't deserve my love? You're not worthy, you're too selfish? Well, guess what. I don't care. I want you. I want you exactly how you are and for who you are and for what you are. You want to know something else? I actually like your dragonfly of a mother for the sole reason that she gave birth to the most amazing, gorgeous, incredible man who grew up and found me, of all people. Do you hear me? Am I getting through to you? I don't care what you've done. I don't care who you think you are. I know who I love. I love you. And there's nothing that you could tell me that could change that. So there you go. I'm laying my heart out there for you. Pick it up and give it back to me or walk out that door and truly never, ever come near me again. It's your call.
Greenlee: You're not saying anything.
Leo: You just blew me away, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Not too far, I hope.
Leo: I meant what I said before
Greenlee: I hope so.
Leo: No, I mean about who I am and what I've done. I don't want this to come back to bite you. I don't want to hurt you.
Greenlee: Oh, you can't. You love me. Just let the past go. Just be here with me and let the rest of it go. Can you do that?

Ryan: I'm worried about your safety at Wildwind.
Gillian: Why?
Ryan: Because -- because it's a very big place and they have security guards running all over the place. I mean, the guy who died today, Bart -- he was ready to shoot anything that moved. I don't want you anywhere near that.
Gillian: Ryan, aren't you overreacting just a little bit?
Ryan: No, I'm not. Not when it comes to you. I love you too much to let you be anywhere near that danger.
Gillian: So every day, for the rest of my life, you're going to be doting on me and making sure that there's no evil lurking behind closed doors?
Ryan: Yeah, that -- that about sums it up, yeah.
Gillian: I can live with that.
Ryan: I love you, Gillian.
Gillian: I love you, too, you overprotective, impossible man. You make me very happy.
Ryan: You make me very happy, too, baby.

Dimitri: Ok, ok. Alex said that the police are sending a squad car right over. I'm really sorry, Anna. I know this is a terrible loss for you.
Anna: He saved my life.
Dimitri: Yeah, I know that he did. He was a very honorable man.
Anna: Oh, no. He was very persnickety at times on the outside. But I knew better.
Dimitri: I'm glad that you had him to look after you but we want you to know that Alex and are going to take over where Bart left off. I promise you.
Anna: Wish I could just take care of myself.
Dimitri: You do. You do, and you will even more in time.
Anna: He never left me alone for one moment. Not one moment.
Dimitri: Well, you know, maybe -- maybe he s -- maybe he was finally able to let go because he knew you wouldn't be alone anymore.

Shannon: That was close.
Mindy: Oh, I thought I was going to hurl, I was so nervous.
Heather: I think she bought it. There's no way she knew that we were here, that you'd been in the house. Did you get the journal?
Shannon: What do you think?
Heather: Have you looked at it? Is there anything we can use?
Shannon: There's got to be. Ok. La, la, la. Blah, blah, blah. Hmm, hmm, hmm. Boring. loser. Oh, baby.
Heather: What does it say?
Shannon: I'll read it to you in the car. Let's just get the hell out of here

Laura: Bianca, I'm not staying. Just get over it, ok?
Bianca: Laura, wait. I talked to the nurse. She said that the attending today was Jake Martin. He'll be totally cool. You don't have to worry about anything.
Laura: Bianca, listen to me, all right? I will not be tested for drugs.

ON THE NEXT - - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Bianca: You can tell her. It will be fine, I promise.

Mindy: Bianca's going to die.
Heather: Wait till she sees this!

David: You said you want to help me. Do you or don't you?

Ryan: You are absolutely brilliant. We're going to make a fortune.

Roger: Greenlee, it's your father. I've got to talk to you about your mother.
