ALL MY CHILDREN

AUGUST 15, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Opal: That puny piranha is just playing you.
Palmer: She reminds me of me.

Maggie: I feel like you have this whole scheme going -- me, Tim, and putting us together like bread and butter.

David: How did Maria get to Opal?

Maria: I've got to find out why that woman is after me.
Aidan: She's going to be at the SOS tonight. We should go down there and ask her.

TODAY’S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[Music plays]
Kendall: Hey, hey, hey, hey! You want to get us kicked out of here?
Petey: You're a dud.
Kendall: You're a pain in my --
Petey: Hi, Daddy!
Palmer: Mm-hmm.
Kendall: Oh, Mr. Cortlandt. Ought you were working late.
Palmer: Yes, obviously. Peter, a word of advice -- the pellets work better if they're wet.
Petey: Cool!
Palmer: I have some advice for you, too, and let's cut the "Mr. Cortlandt" hooey, shall we?

Bianca: Okay, so all these multi-nuptial things are beginning to scare me.
Maggie: Oh, it's kind of sweet, isn't it, in a little --

Bianca: Mm-hmm.
Maggie: I don't know, old-fashioned kissy kind of way.
Bianca: Hey! Just look over there. "Sweet" just walked in the door.
Maggie: There you go again!
Bianca: There I go again with what?
Maggie: The wink, the elbow every time he walks into our space. Bianca, it's getting really old, really, really old.

Edmund: You guys --
Hayley: Hey.
Edmund: Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to rush you --
Hayley: No.
Edmund: You guys know how to throw a party.
Hayley: Yay!
Brooke: Yes, sir.
Mateo: Well, our family has a lot to celebrate.
Hayley: Yeah. You know, Maddie and Sam have celebrated themselves into Nonnie Land.
[Brooke laughs]
Edmund: What, did they crash in the office?
Brooke: Listen, I'll check on them, ok?
Hayley: I'll go with you.
Edmund: Whoa.
Brooke: Whoa.

Mateo: Oh, you guys are going to have a good life together.
Edmund: Yeah. Listen, thank you for everything -- I mean, this whole thing, this party, and it means a lot considering --
Mateo: Hey, are you happy?
Edmund: I am.
Mateo: That's everything Maria would want for you.
Edmund: Remember how she used to love to party?
Mateo: Oh, yeah, Maria. She's probably smiling down on this one right now.

[Outside SOS]
Maria: I don't know. Maybe this it a good time.
Aidan: If you want answers, they're on the other side of this door.
Maria: Yeah, you're right. You're right.
Aidan: Come on. Come on.

Opal: Whoo! Yeah! You have got your great uncle Stratton’s moves and then some!
Tad: Ah, Uncle Stratton -- winner of the tri-state village idiots contest.
Opal: Yeah, the very one. Must be in the genes.
Tad: Yeah. So is being a lousy father.
Opal: Don't you say that. You have been a great daddy to JR and to Jamie.

Tad: Come here.
J.R.: Hey.
Tad: Hey.
Opal: Don't you "hey" me. I want a kiss. You got a seltzer?
J.R.: Sure. Why not?
Tad: Mateo said you offered to work the late shift.
J.R.: Yeah, well, I don't have anything else to do, so why not?
Tad: I tell you what -- I'll stick around and I'll drive you home.
J.R.: Oh, no, I'm covered. It's ok. Don't worry about it.
Tad: Well, then, I'll wait up for you.
J.R.: No, I'm good. You don't have to.
Tad: I know I don't have to. I -- I want to.
J.R.: All right. Fine. I'll get these to the kitchen. And I'll meet you.

Opal: You see? It's going to work ok between you two.
Tad: I hope so. I promised myself and Dixie.
Opal: Well, then, it's as good as kept. Excuse me a minute.

Tad: Anna.
Anna: Hi.
Tad: So nice to see you without David.
Anna: Yeah. I thought he'd be here, actually.
Tad: Well, you could always check the punch bowl. That's usually his favorite spot.
Anna: No, I -- I -- he's delayed, that's all. It's a little while.

[David arrives at Wildwind and finds the front door unlocked]
David: So much for security. Maureen?
David: Maureen?
David: Maureen? Are you here?

Aidan: Maureen, it's going to be ok, ok?
Maria: I mean, that sign there. It says "Congratulations, Brooke and Edmund." Everything -- this is not right. This is, like, their pre-wedding party or something.
Aidan: Hey, well, we're just going to talk to the woman. We agreed. She's got all the answers.
Maria: No, this not right, though. Don't you see this is really bad timing?
Aidan: If we don't do this now, we may not get another chance.
Maria: There's too many n there.
Aidan: Maureen, come on. Come on, now. Let me help you do this.
Aidan: What are you waiting for?
Maria: You know, but what if --
Aidan: Come on, let's go! Maureen! Oh, man. [Maureen/Maria runs away]

Kendall: I can explain to you why Petey and I are here.
Palmer: I have no doubt. Peter, why don't you treat yourself to a Roy Roger?
Petey: With extra cherries?

Kendall: Hmm, great. More sugar. So, what's your advice?
Palmer: I heard about your alliance with Greenlee, something about a revenge scheme against Erica? I want you to stop it.
Kendall: Well, of course, of course. Bianca came crying to you.
Palmer: It would be best if you abandon your plans.
Kendall: What, did Erica put you up to this?
Palmer: Nobody puts me up to anything. Now, I want you to stop this now.
Kendall: There is no "this." Not yet, anyway. I mean, Greenlee's a hard sell. But I'll tell you what -- if Erica wants you to save her behind, she must really be scared.
Palmer: She doesn't even know the meaning of that word.
Kendall: Hmm, she will when Greenlee and I are done with her.
Palmer: You said she wasn't onboard.
Kendall: She will be. The temptation to cream Erica is way too good.
Palmer: You really think you can beat Erica at what she does best?
Kendall: Hey, I am my mother's daughter. I know how to get exactly what I want.
Palmer: Is that why your boyfriend went off on a motorcycle without any explanation --
Kendall: Hey --
Palmer: And your address until recently was that jalopy you call a car?
Kendall: You know, if it weren't for Erica, I would have everything that I ever wanted.
Palmer: You are your own worst enemy.
Kendall: Of course you would take her side.
Palmer: It's not a matter of taking sides. I don't want to see anybody hurt.
Kendall: Including me?
Palmer: Listen, you can gun for Erica at home or in business and you will never get the slightest bit of satisfaction in the end.
Kendall: Well, how do you know?
Palmer: I just know. Trust me -- these things always look better on paper.
Kendall: You have no idea how she's ruined my life, palmer.
Palmer: The ruining of your life is in your hands, not Erica’s, nobody else's.
Kendall: No, you don't get it. You don't get it. For once, for once, Erica is going to know what it's like to be kicked to the curb!
Palmer: Well, you're going to need something better than a pea shooter to beat Erica.
Kendall: Well, what would you suggest -- napalm?
Palmer: You need somebody on your side who can play the game as well as she does.
Kendall: Like who?
Palmer: Me.

[Bianca giggles]
Tim: Hey, girls.
Bianca: Hey!
Maggie: Hello.
Tim: You still celebrating Bianca’s new gig at Enchantment?
Bianca: Oh, I wouldn't call it celebrating. I'm drowning my sorrows and terror.
Tim: Ooh. What are you drinking?
Bianca: Sodas.
Tim: Hard stuff, huh?
Maggie: Oh, yeah, with extra ice.
Tim: It is kind of hot, isn't it?

[Tim goes to refill the drinks]
Bianca: Well, hello!
Maggie: See, that! See, that is what I’m talking about!
Bianca: Maggie, you saw it, I saw it. Tim saw it.
Maggie: Bianca, why do you even care?
Bianca: I'm just calling them like I see them.
Maggie: Well, you're being a huge pain in my butt.
Bianca: I don't understand what the problem is. Tim is a total hottie. If I were into guys, I'd be into him.
Maggie: You are unreal sometimes.
Bianca: Maggie,
clearly he wants you.
Maggie: Uh -- have you ever noticed how his smile is kind of lopsided?
Bianca: Yes.
Yes.
Maggie: Well, that's what sort of made me want to kiss him the other day. He's a pretty good kisser.
Bianca: Whoa! You -- you wanted to --
Maggie: No, no, well, I didn't see it coming, either, but -- oh, it did.
Bianca: Tim kissed you?

Anna: Thank you. Well, he's not at the hospital, either.
Tad: Are you sure he still works there?
Anna: You know what? You need to stop being tiresome.
Tad: Or maybe he just got smart and realized he wasn't welcome here.
Anna: It's fine for you to hate my husband privately, but he is still my husband.
Tad: And you know what? You're lucky because there's a cure for that.
Anna: Why are --
Brooke: Anna and David are my guests tonight, so this is a feud-free zone. Got it?
Tad: Sure. I got it.

Mateo: Hey, blue eyes.
Brooke: I'm sorry.
Anna: No, it's really fine.
Brooke: No, really.
Mateo: Blue eyes, Myrtle's on the phone. She wants to give some props.
Hayley: Is she still under the weather?
Mateo: I have no idea.
Brooke: Oh, all right. Will you excuse us? I'm sorry about --
Anna: No, no, it's ok. That's ok. Just waiting for my husband.

David: Oh, come on.

Aidan: What happened? Did you recognize someone? Did someone frighten you?
Maria: No. No, no, no, no.
Aidan: Then what?
Maria: I just -- I couldn't face her like that.
Aidan: Yeah, but Brooke English can help you.
Maria: I don't know. Can she?
Aidan: Well, yeah. I mean, she knows who you are. That's a step ahead of us.
Maria: Oh, maybe the past is just better left staying in the past.
Aidan: Yeah, but, no, not when you're this close to finding out who you are.
Maria: Maybe that's not such a good thing.
Aidan: For who? These could be your friends and family here. You know, don't they deserve to know that you're still alive?
Maria: Yeah, but what if that would hurt them? I don't know. Maybe -- maybe I should just -- I should just leave.
Aidan: Well, I think you should speak to this Brooke, you know, and find out why she was looking for you at first, and then get some answers and then go from there.
Maria: No, no, no, no. It's not that simple.
Aidan: What are you so afraid of?
Maria: Me.
Aidan: Why?
Maria: All those years that I’ve been running and I've been running away from who I was and what I did.
Aidan: What did you do? I mean, all this running can really wear someone out. Maybe it's time that you stopped.
Maria: Yeah, well, I've gotten pretty good at it.
Aidan: Hey, why don't you come sit down. Why are you so spooked? I mean, whatever it is that you did, you know, I can help you.
Maria: I -- I really -- I want to trust you, Aidan, I do. But I can’t.

Petey: If you catch this, you can keep it.
J.R.: Right, and if I don't, I pay you. I think I've played this game before, ok? Forget it.
Petey: Come on. It's cinchy.
J.R.: Fine. One time, though, ok? Mm-hmm.
Petey: Sorry. This is mine now.

Opal: Hey, what are my two favorite fellows doing tonight?
Petey: J.R.'S teaching me a new game.
Opal: He is?
Petey: Right?
J.R.: Kid's a fast learner.
Opal: Well, Petey really looks up to you, honey. I'm glad you're getting to spend a little time together.
Petey: Careful of the hair, Mom.
Opal: So sorry. You be a good boy, all right?
Petey: Ok.
Opal: All right. That goes for you, too.
J.R.: Of course.
Opal: All right.

Petey: I don't have all night. It's almost my bedtime.
J.R.: Double or nothing.

Edmund: You two look serious. Tell me there's nothing serious going on here.
Hayley: Actually, there is.
Mateo: But it's good.
Hayley: Enzo’s doing so well they want us to bring him to the hospital in New York as sort of an example all the good that can happen.
Edmund: Really? Kind of an Enzo victory tour.
Hayley: Right.
Mateo: Yeah, sounds about right.
Edmund: Hey, why not?
Hayley: Yeah. I think they just want to raise living donor awareness.
Edmund: When do they want you there?
Mateo: As soon as possible.
Hayley: But no worries. We told them that we had a wedding we had to be at first.
Mateo: Mm-hmm.
Edmund: I don't have any of those anymore, and neither should you.

Kendall: You want to help me take down Erica?
Palmer: No, you misunderstand. I want to make sure that Erica doesn't destroy you.
Kendall: Well, she's tried her damnedest and I'm still here. Palmer, I don't need your protection.
Palmer: You remind me of her.
Kendall: Ok, if that's a compliment, then you need to work on how you word things.
Palmer: Just an observation. Of course, Erica always learns by her mistakes, and I can only hope that one day she can accept you as her daughter. Well, there's always a chance, isn't it?
Kendall: Oh, come on, palmer. A mother-child reunion? Come on.
Palmer: I owe it to Erica and to you to do everything I can to make that day possible. That's why I want you to end this scheme you have with Greenlee tonight.
Kendall: Oh, ok. Now I get it.
Palmer: What?
Kendall: I am so onto you. I know exactly what you're up to.

Bianca: So, you and Tim. He kissed you, huh?
Maggie: Actually, I kissed Tim.
Bianca: You did?
Maggie: Yeah! Well, he was throwing out those cheese-ball lines, you know. I had to shut him up some how.
Bianca: So you kissed him. Maggie: Yeah, I kissed him.
Bianca: What's the verdict
Maggie: On a scale of one to 10? Guess.
Bianca: That's great.
Maggie: It was just a kiss. It's no big deal at all.
Bianca: No, I mean it seems like you don't really need me -- I mean, my help.
Maggie: Well, that's what I was trying to tell you, you know?
Bianca: So, you going to start seeing Tim?
Maggie: Right now? Right now I just want to figure out why you're acting like such a freak all of a sudden.
Bianca: I'm not acting like a freak.
Maggie: Yes, you are. Until I told you that I kissed Tim, you were all about us, but now -- now what are you doing? What's up?

Brooke: Having a little snack?
Anna: Yes. I didn't get to congratulate you properly.
Brooke: Oh.
Anna: I've never seen Edmund look happier. It's -- and, you, too.
Brooke: Oh, thank you, thank you.
Anna: The way he looks at you is --
Brooke: That's a good thing?
Anna: Yes.
Brooke: I'm the lucky one.
Anna: Well, I -- I'm just going to go make a phone call.
Brooke: Ok.
Anna: Ok.
Brooke: Thank you.

[Brooke sees an earring on the floor, she picks it up]
Isabella: Brooke! You found it!
Brooke: This is --
Isabella: It's Maria’s!

Maria: This is my life, and there is no reason for you to be involved in it.
Aidan: Right, but it is a phantom life -- I mean, a life of always being on the run. I mean, is that the kind of life that you want?
Maria: Maybe it's the life that I deserve.
Aidan: Yeah, but whatever it is that you've done, we can deal with it.
Maria: How would you know that? How would you know? You don't even know me!
Aidan: Hang on. I know you've been trying to search for the past for a long time, and I also know that the desire for the truth is stronger than the fear. I can't help you, and -- I mean, I can't help you unless you level with me. What are you so scared of?

David: Where the hell are you, Maureen?
Maid: Hello? Is somebody there?

[Five years earlier – David and Maria talk while sitting in a car]
David: I meant everything I said. You will be safe in Nevada.
Maria: You're sure?
David: All you have to do is get on that plane and all your troubles will be over.
Maria: Yeah. You make it sound so simple.
David: I've taken care of everything.
Maria: What is that?
David: Your freedom -- cash, plane ticket, documentation confirming that you are now Maureen Gorman. That is the name you chose for yourself, right? Ok, Maureen, well, you have an apartment and a part-time job waiting for you. All you have to do is take the leap. It's all right there.
Maria: Isn't there some other way?
David: It's the only way that I can make sure that you're protected. Maureen, your life depends on this.

Aidan: What did you do that was so terrible that you'd skip out on your rent and not pay for your parking tickets?
Maria: I killed a man.

Kendall: I will never reconcile with Erica. It's never going to happen.
Palmer: Promise me something?
Kendall: What?
Palmer: That in the midst of your scheming, you'll stay on as Peter’s babysitter. He's quite taken with you.
Kendall: That's because I don't cower down to his father like everyone else does.
Palmer: Or you let him do whatever he wants.
Kendall: I do not.
Palmer: Then why is he gambling?
Kendall: I will put a stop to that right now.

Opal: Hey, there, Mr. Cortlandt!
Palmer: If this is going to be another harangue about Kendall, I --
Opal: I overheard what you said just now.
Palmer: That was a private conversation.
Opal: You want Erica and Kendall to have some sort of a future together.
Palmer: Well, it's up to them.
Opal: Well, you were making it happen, though, weren't you? Boy, Dixie would be so proud of her Uncle Palmer.
Palmer: Good lord, woman. Don't make more of this than there is.
Opal: You're an old softy. You're not kidding me with that big heart of yours.
Palmer: Rubbish! I don't have a heart. Everybody knows that. You've told me so many times.
Opal: Well, I was mad.
Palmer: You were right.
Opal: No, I don't think so, palmer.
Palmer: Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm -- I’m going to congratulate the happy groom.

Bianca: Look, I wasn't trying to hook you guys up. I just thought you're so great and you'd make a great couple.
Maggie: But we're not a couple.
Bianca: Not yet.

Tim: Some cola --
Bianca: Oh.
Tim: And cola with extra ice.
Maggie: Ah, thank you.
Tim: Sorry it took so long. Some kid just conned me out of $10. Did I miss anything?
Maggie: Just girl talk.

Isabella: I've been looking for this everywhere. Thank you so much.
Brooke: What did you mean when you said it was Maria’s?
Isabella: Oh, this was her -- these were her favorite. After she died, Edmund gave them to me. Whenever I wear them, I feel as if Maria’s close by. Does that sound silly?
Brooke: No. No, not at all.
Isabella: I knew you'd understand. I wanted to wear them tonight so that part of Maria could be here to share our celebration. She'd want Edmund to be happy again, Brooke. I know it.
Brooke: Thank you.

Edmund: Oh, I think you two have made up. Am I interrupting something?
Brooke: No.
Isabella: I was just telling Brooke how happy I am for both of you.
Edmund: You want to make me happy?
Isabella: Hmm?
Edmund: Dance with me.
Isabella: Oh,
con mucho gusto.

Tad: Are you all right?

Aidan: You killed someone? When? Who?
Maria: I -- I just did. Ok?
Aidan: Is that why you've been on the run?
Maria: Yeah.
Aidan: I've come in contact with many killers, but I’m sorry, you don't fit the profile.
Maria: How would you know?
Aidan: Because I've been in the mix with killers. And really, you don't remind me of one.
Maria: Well, do you think I made this up?
Aidan: No, but I -- I think something has gone down and someone's pulled the wool over your eyes. And you killed someone? I'm sorry, but I don't believe it.

[Five years earlier – the conversation with David continues]
David: It's not like you have any choice, Maureen. You have to disappear. You do trust me, don't you?
Maria: Yeah.
David: Ok, well, then you know that I’m doing this for your own good.
Maria: I know. I feel like if I could just remember what happened, then I could get rid of this --
David: We know what happened, we both do, and so do the police.
Maria: There's got to be some other way.
David: All right, look, you want to hang out here and explore your options? That's fine with me, but just be assured that the cops will find out and most likely you will spend the rest of your life in some hellhole. Now, is that what you really want?
Maria: You'll never see me again.

[David talks to himself]
David: Why did you have to come back?

Guard: Mind telling me who you are and what the hell you're doing here.

Kendall: What have I told you about gambling? You know better, don't you, Pete?
Petey: You're just a sore loser, and you still owe me. Pay up, deadbeat.
Palmer: Ahem!
Petey: I'm sorry, Kendall. I won't do it again, cross my heart.

Anna: No, no, there's no message, thank you. Thank you.

Maggie: Hello, Anna.
Anna: Hi!
Maggie: How are you?
Anna: Well, I saw you over there with that guy. He seems kind of cute.
Maggie: Wait till you see his scar, yeah. Hmm.
Anna: Ok.
Maggie: Believe me, you do not want to know. So this party isn't so bad.
Anna: No.
Maggie: I thought it was going to be a little -- but it's not. It must be all that love.
Anna: Yeah. It's in the air.
Maggie: What's that about?
Anna: Nothing.
Maggie: No, no, no, you're hiding something. Come on. Tell me.
Anna: Maybe I have something to be happy about.
Maggie: Ooh. Spill. Tell me.
Anna: No, no, no. No, no, no.
Maggie: No, you cannot do that to me. Come on, spill -- now, now.
Anna: Oh, I'm so horrible at keeping secrets.
Maggie: Ooh, goody.
Anna: You have to promise that you won't tell anyone.
Maggie: Promise, cross my heart.
Anna: I'm late.
Maggie: You're late? You're late late? You're -- oh, my -- have you taken a pregnancy test?
Anna: No -- tonight. I'll have to do it when I get home.
Maggie: I'm going to be a -- I don't know what I'm going to be!
[Anna laughs]
Maggie: Oh, gosh, that's incredible! Congratulations.
Anna: Thank you. So you have to promise now.
Maggie: Promise. Not even big d.
Anna: Oh, especially not David. No, don’t. I want to tell him myself, you know, when I’m sure.
Maggie: You know, where is David anyway?

David: I am a doctor.
Guard: You're kind of far from the hospital, aren't you?
David: Well, actually, I'm covering for Dr. Lukas Mitrani -- the family physician?
Guard: Still doesn't answer my question.
David: I received a page from his service telling me that there was some kind of a medical emergency here.
Guard: How did you get in?
David: I walked right through the front door. I'm sure Edmund won't be too happy about the lax security.
Guard: Who's sick, a family member?
David: Well, I can only assume.
Guard: Funny -- the whole family's at a shindig for Mr. Grey and his fiancée.
David: Are you kidding? This damn service. I've had the most trouble with them, it's unbelievable. Look, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, but I'll -- I'll be happy to show myself out.
Guard: Not that you're lying, but I wouldn't want Mr. Grey to think security is lax. So why don't we let the police sort this one out?

Mateo: Ok, everybody -- everybody, first of all, we're out of food and booze, but thanks for coming anyway. Today is a special day for me personally. I've been waiting for this a long time. Edmund -- Edmund’s one of the most generous and loving men I've ever known, and he met his match in Brooke. Brooke and Edmund, I hope you two eternal happiness together. You both deserve it very much.
Woman: Hear, hear.
Mateo: I want to make a toast – to Brooke and Edmund.
All: Hear, hear!
[Cheers]

Tim: Ah. Have you ever experienced my two left feet?
Maggie: Are you asking me to dance? Ooh -- oh!

Opal: Hey, Honey! Congratulations on the job!
Bianca: Thank you!
Opal: Erica's just tickled purple. Are you excited?
Bianca: Actually, yes. Tell me I'm nuts.
Opal: Well, good! Good! Now, I think that she is just so proud of you.
Bianca: Yeah, well, you know, I couldn't let her tackle Kendall and Greenlee all by herself.
Opal: It means more than you know. Just having somebody who'll believe in you can make all the difference in the world.
Bianca: Yeah.

Tad: What's going on?
Brooke: Nothing. Nothing! I'm marrying the man I love and I'm going to start a wonderful life. What could be wrong?
Tad: Maureen Gorman?
Brooke: You know what that was? It was the curse of an overactive imagination.
Tad: Well, I'm happy you're so happy, but that's kind of sudden, isn't it?
Brooke: Hmm -- I love this song. Can we dance?
Tad: Hey, in a minute. You know, I know you pretty well, and I would bet cash money that you haven't just erased our little trip out to Nevada from your hard drive.
Brooke: Tad, it was a mistake, ok? I understand that now.
Tad: And you're just going to forget that it happened?
Brooke: What happened? Heat, hunger, dehydration, I thought I saw a ghost from Edmund’s past -- end of story.
Tad: Just like that?
Brooke: Just like that. You saw Maureen. You said it wasn't Maria. Did you lie?
Tad: No.
Brooke: So why aren't we on the dance floor? Come on.
Tad: Cut the crap. What the hell is wrong with you?

Aidan: There's no -- there is no way this is true.
Maria: It's true.
Aidan: Then I’ve got to get this checked out to be sure.
Maria: No, you can’t. You can’t.
Aidan: Why not?
Maria: Because you would lead them right to me.
Aidan: So? What? Are you going to run every time, you know, you see someone looking at you funny?
Maria: Well, I really don't have any choices.
Aidan: Yes, you do. You have plenty of choices.
Maria: I've got plenty of choices? I've got the choices you gave me. I've got going on TV or crash somebody's party! No! No, thanks.
Aidan: Well, how about telling the story to somebody that you trust, let them investigate?
Maria: Like you?
Aidan: Yeah. I'm here.
Maria: Aidan, look, can we just drop this, please?
Aidan: I mean, but we're so close.
Maria: No, no, no! You don't understand! Look, I know that you want to help, I know you do, and I really appreciate that, but you've got to swear to me that you, please, will not tell a single soul.
Aidan: Sure. Fine.
Maria: Ok. Thank you. God. I need -- I need a minute.

[Maria goes into the bathroom – Aidan makes a phone call]
Aidan: Chief Devane, she's not just anybody.

Tad: Damn it, Brooke, answer me.
Brooke: I am a woman who's in love who's about to start a fairy-tale life. Why can't you just let me be happy?
Tad: I'd like nothing more, but under the circumstances, I'd say --
Brooke: Didn't you say that I deserved this, that I should be happy? Didn't you tell me that?
Tad: I did, and -- and you should, but --
Brooke: So then why are you so concerned about my happiness? Maybe you should just go off and find your own.

Edmund: Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention, please? Gather round, gather round I’d like to propose a toast to the lady of Wildwind and my heart. Her passion for living, her devotion to the truth, and her uncanny ability to make me laugh at 2:00 in the morning have made me happier than I have ever been. To the love of me life, Brooke English.
Aidan: Oh, is Chief Devane there, please? Well, can you -- it's urgent. Can you get her to call me as soon as possible? It's Aidan. Ok. Thanks.

Aidan: Are you feeling better?
Maria: Yeah. Much. Thanks.
Aidan: I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I pushed you too hard.
Maria: No, actually, it was the first time I've ever told anybody that, so it felt good to get it out.
Aidan: Sure, well, I'm just going to forget you even told me.
Maria: Oh. I'm starving to death. Are you?
Aidan: Yeah. I mean, do you want me to order a pizza?
Maria: No. You know what? I'm really, really feeling like a cheeseburger and some fabulous chili cheese fries.
Aidan: You are?
Maria: Yeah, I am. Would you mind?
Aidan: No, sure. I mean, I'll go get some, but I really don't think you should open the door with anybody, ok?
Maria: Aye, aye.
Aidan: All right.
Maria: Ok. Thanks.

[Maria dials star-69]
Man: Pine Valley police department.
Maria: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. You lied to me. You're on their side.

David: Are you not hearing me? I'm a doctor. People's are depending on me while I'm waiting for some rent-a-cop who wants to play Inspector Jeauvaire.
[Doorbell rings]
Guard: Here's your chance to tell the real cops.
David: Great. Hopefully they'll know the difference between a doctor and a petty thief.
Guard: Yes, ma'am. He's right here. [Anna walks in and is shocked to see David]

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Anna: This has to stop now, tonight.

Tad: I want you to help me to prove that people don't come back from the dead.

Kendall: Maybe I can help you.
Aidan: You saw someone like the woman I described?

Isabella: I know this isn't easy for you, watching your brother-in-law move on with someone else.
