ALL MY CHILDREN

AUGUST 19, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Anna: Oh, David, we made a baby.

Trey: I got over my fear of the dark before I even got a bicycle with training wheels. Not that you'd care, Mother.

Joe: Are you in trouble? Tad: No, no, it's note, it's Brooke. I can't let her go through with this wedding thinking that, you know Maria’s out there somewhere alive.

Brooke: I feel like the luckiest woman alive.

TODAY’S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Tad: Come on, for God's sake. How long is it take to spit out a fax? Ok, here we go. All right, Ms. Gorman, what about you has got Brooke so freaked out?
Tad: Hi, Jake.
Jake: Jeez, what are you doing here?
Tad: Uh -- came to see you.
Jake: In the middle of the night?
Tad: Yeah, I was, you know, thinking that maybe you could use a meal, you know, maybe you'd want to --
[Fax machine beeps]
Tad: Take a break.
Jake: Tad, I think you're beeping. Want to tell me why?

Edmund: Did you hear something?

David: Maureen, let's go. Maria: Oh, thank God,
it's you!

Trey: Maggie. Hey.
Maggie: Hi.
Trey: Well, this is great. How about joining me for a cup of coffee?
Maggie: Well, it's kind of late. I just came by to see a patient I got close to, so --
Trey: You know, I don't bite.
Maggie: Yeah, Trey, got that. It's that other thing you do.
Trey: I really wish you weren't so suspicious of me, Maggie. I'm just trying to reach out.
Maggie: Yeah, but why?

Maggie: Hi.
Leo: Hey.
Maggie: How you doing?
Leo: Good. What was that about?
Maggie: You know, I wish I could tell you. He keeps on trying to bond. I don't get it.
Leo: Does he do that a lot?
Maggie: Yeah, and it's getting kind of freaky.
Leo: This is good. This is good. I can use this.
Maggie: Use what? What are you talking about?
Leo: Ok, you're going to help me bury Trey.
Greenlee: Don't do it, Maggie.

Anna: This is Chief Devane here. Yes, I know. Dr. Mitrani's service didn't call my husband, Dr. Hayward, tonight to cover for him, is that right? Yeah. No, there's no problem. Thank you.
Anna: Except my husband lied to me again.

[Knock on door]
Anna: Ok. Don't jump to any conclusions.
Aidan: Hi. I know it's late, but I need your help.
Anna: Yeah, come in.
Aidan: Did I catch you at a bad time?
Anna: Well, no, it's just I’m preoccupied, that's all. What do you want?
[Aidan picks up the empty pregnancy test box]
Aidan: I'm just -- I’m helping this girl, but, if you don't mind me asking, I’m not the first unexpected thing that's happened tonight, am I?

David: Maureen, we don't have time for this.
Maria: I don't know how you found me or how you even got here, but I am so glad you came.
David: No, listen to me, listen to me --
Maria: How did you get here?
David: We have to get out of here.
Maria: I can't.
David: No, no, we have to get out of here now.
Maria: Remember those castles that I used to draw all the time back when we first met? This is it. This is Wildwind.
David: This is so dangerous.
Maria: I heard Brooke English’s voice in there.
David: No, no, no, you didn't, no, you didn't.
Maria: Listen to me, I must have been here before.

Brooke: I didn't hear a thing. Can we go upstairs now, Mr. Romance?
Edmund: I'll take that as a personal challenge.
[Brooke chuckles]
Brooke: Edmund.
Edmund: I just want to check something out, make sure there's nothing outside.
Edmund: Sometimes I can get a little overprotective.
Brooke: It's very adorable.
Edmund: Ok, get used to it, future Mrs. Grey.
Brooke: Hmm. Ok, so do the guard dog thing.
Brooke: See? Nobody here. Come on. I told you. Let's go up.
Edmund: You're right. I'm just going to give security a heads-up.

Leo: Ok, before you just totally blow this off, Greenlee, at least listen to my plan.
Greenlee: I don't want to hear it.
Leo: You know what this means.
Greenlee: No, what I know is that you're spending all of your time in this damn hospital.
Leo: Yeah, because I have to. Maggie, I think that Trey Kenyon is after Vanessa’s drug money.
Greenlee: You're obsessed, Leo! You hear his voice coming out of my TV. Come on!
Leo: I need you to help me, ok?
Maggie: Well, how can I help?
Leo: Find Trey, have that cup of coffee he seems so hell bent about having with you. Just let him talk, just listen to what he has to say.
Maggie: Ok, and then just report back to you?
Leo: Yeah, and if nothing comes of it, then Greenlee's right, I’m the crazy one, no harm done.
Maggie: But if he says something, I --
Leo: Then you'll be helping me get my life back. Huh? Huh? Please? I'm asking you, Maggie, cousin to cousin.
Maggie: All right, I’ll see if I can catch up with him.
Leo: Thank you.
Maggie: Ok.
Leo: Thank you.

Leo: I know you're mad.
Greenlee: No, no, this isn't mad you're looking at.
Leo: Greenlee, I’m doing this for us, for Paris.
Greenlee: Just stop it. At least be honest with me.
Leo: Greenlee, I have to find this money or we're never going to be free.
Greenlee: This is more personal than finding the money. At least admit it, Leo.

Tad: Ok. You got me. I was just, you know, using your fax machine. But don't look.
Jake: Because?
Tad: Because it's a surprise -- for you.
Jake: Oh, oh, I get it. So you're using my office equipment cause you want to surprise me?
Tad: That's right. So do me a favor -- don't ruin it.
Jake: You know what? You almost had me, big brother. The only thing is my birthday's four months away.
Tad: I plan ahead.
Jake: Uh-huh. You want to tell me why you're using my fax machine, Tad?
Tad: This is so absolutely like you. You know, you get all weenie on me and you destroy everything I’m planning, no matter what, no matter if it's for a good reason. You step in --
Jake: Wait, wait, wait, don't you think that I know by now when you're conning me?
Tad: I'm not conning you.
Sandi: Dr. Martin? I'm sorry to interrupt, but since we got along so well before, I was wondering if you could help me figure out what's wrong with my toe.
Jake: Her toe, Dr. Martin.
Sandi: I bought these really cool sandals -- knockoffs -- but I think they were too tight because my baby toe has been numb for, like, a day.
Tad: Oh, yeah.
Sandi: Do you think maybe I broke it?
Tad: No, no, not at all. I think you should just, you know, chuck them.
Sandi: But the pain --
Tad: Oh, the pain -- the pain is a lesson. Believe me, never -- never buy knockoffs, ok? Now, you just go home and soak your feet and that little toe will be just fine.
Sandi: Ok. Um, sorry.
Tad: All right.
Sandi: Thank you, Dr. Martin.
Tad: No problem.

Tad: Would you believe it was an accident that she thought I was you? Probably not. Listen, I admit it, I lied about why I’m using the fax machine.
Jake: You, Tad Martin, lie? I'm stunned.
Tad: Look, I’m doing it for Brooke’s sake, ok? I just can't go into the details.
Jake: You can't or you won't?
Tad: Jake, please let it go?
Jake: You come into my hospital impersonating a doctor, and you want me to let it go?
Tad: Because I haven't got a choice, ok? This is an emergency. I'm desperate. I have to do this thing before Brooke’s wedding.
Jake: All right, Tad, listen, I know that you're going through a lot right now and I completely sympathize with you, my brother, I really do --
Tad: Wait a minute, wait a minute. Before you say another word, do not mention Dixie. This has nothing --
Jake: But you cannot come into my hospital impersonating a doctor like this just because you're unhappy that Brooke is marrying Edmund!
Tad: What the hell's with my family? Dad just gave me the exact same lecture.
Jake: That's because we know you!
Tad: No, you don't know me!
Look, I am doing it for Brooke and for Brooke’s sake because I care about her, ok? I want her to be happy! I would never do anything to hurt Brooke --
Jake: All right, Tad --
Tad: Or you or the hospital or your reputation!
Jake: Tad, ok!
Tad: "Ok," what? "Ok, I believe you," or "ok --"
Jake: No, just all right. I can't even believe that I’m letting you con me into covering for you again.
Tad: What do you mean, again? When did you ever cover for me in the first place?
Jake: The baseball card scam!
Tad: The baseball card --
Jake: How soon we forget!
Tad: That was 30 years ago!
Jake: You sneaking out after curfew and I’m letting you in the back window!
Tad: You got to get some serious medication, you know that? All right, fine, you're absolutely right. I -- I’d forgotten what a stellar kid you were, you know? You're a rock.
Jake: Don't even stroke me. Get your fax and get the hell out of here.
Tad: Thank you.
Jake: And I mean it.
[Tad looks at the picture on the fax]
Tad: I don't believe this.
Jake: What is this? What is going on?
Tad: No, no, I’ve got to get this to Brooke, ok, right away.
Jake: Tad, you cannot be going over to Brooke’s place the night before her wedding.
Tad: This is really important. I mean it, I owe you.
Jake: Tad.
Tad: Yeah?
[Jake removes his stethoscope from Tad’s neck]

Aidan: Something's telling me this is not good news.
Anna: There may not be any news at all.
Aidan: And if there is it's a problem?
Anna: Oh, Aidan, could you just drop this, please? Drop it.
Aidan: Oh, I’m sorry, but if you're expecting and it's not happy news, I can only imagine that it's because of one person -- your husband.
Anna: Yeah. Beginning to wish maybe I’d run this by you. You could've talked me out of it.
Aidan: So this isn't a surprise?
Anna: We were trying to get pregnant.
Aidan: And now that you are, you wish you weren't? Does David know?
Anna: No.
Aidan: Ok. Ok. Well, I won't say a word.
Anna: Please don't.
Aidan: Where is David, anyway?
Anna: That is a damn good question.
Aidan: Wow, so we're both looking for missing people.

Brooke: Did you call security?
Edmund: Yeah, they're on it. Come upstairs with me.
Brooke: I just want to go over the seating arrangement just -- you know, just one more time.
Edmund: It hasn't moved since the last time you looked at it.
Brooke: I know, I know. I just want to make sure that the people who hate each other are eating their wedding cake at opposite ends of the table, ok?
Edmund: I'll be upstairs checking on the kids.
Brooke: Ok.
Edmund: But make it fast.
Brooke: I know.
Edmund: Because I told you I am never sleeping alone again.

[Knock on door]
Brooke: Who is it?
Tad: It's Tad. Open up.
Brooke: What are you doing here? Is something wrong with Jamie?
Tad: Jamie's fine, he's fine, aside from the food in camp. Listen, I came to see you. I'm sorry, I know it's really late.
Brooke: What have you done?
Tad: I don't want you to get angry at me.
Brooke: About what?
Tad: I went behind your back.
Brooke: And?
Tad: I got faxed Maureen Gorman’s records from the hospital.
Brooke: But they didn't --
Tad: The second hospital in Nevada. And it includes a photo ID of Maureen.

[David and Maria hid in the Wildwind mausoleum]
David: We can hide in here until the security alert is over. We should be safe.
Maria: I'm so glad to see you, but I don't know -- I don't know how you found me or why you're even here.
David: What are you doing here?
Maria: I know you told me not to follow the people or just to leave those people alone who were looking for me --
David: Yes, yes, that's right, for your own safety. Maureen, do you have any idea what you've done to yourself by coming here?
Maria: I know, but I couldn't let it go.
David: You know what could happen to you?
Maria: It's just I couldn't get these people out of my mind, especially that Brooke English woman.
I just -- I don't know, I just kept feeling like I either knew her or --
David: I don't care what you felt!
Maria: What is wrong with you?
David: All right, look, I’m sorry, ok? I'm just -- I’m concerned because of your safety.
Maria: I've been remembering some things.
David: What? "Things"? What things?
Maria: Just -- I don't know, nothing really specific, nothing consciously, but it's more dreams about that Brooke woman in there. It's very foggy, but what she's saying to me is very important.
David: Wait, wait, what kind of things? What is she saying to you?
Maria: I don't know, I don't know, because I can't remember when I wake up, but I just know that she's trying to tell me something and she's telling me something important.
David: Maureen -- Maureen, listen to me -- this is your mind playing games with you, ok? After what happened to you five years ago, it's to be expected.
Maria: No, no, no, because -- no, it has everything to do with this place.
David: No --
Maria: It's all somehow tied in to this place.
David: You're confused because this woman was looking for you.
Maria: No, I really -- ever since I got here, I feel like I have been here before.
David: But you don't know that.
Maria: Yes, I -- I know that I was here before I lost my memory.
David: It's your mind, ok? It's creating these things in your imagination. That's what's happening.
Maria: It's how I knew that castle, that's how I knew Wildwind.
David: Wildwind is a famous castle, ok? You could've seen it in a picture in a magazine.
Maria: I know, but it's not just about Wildwind, it's also about every time I turn around, I feel like -- I’ve got this sense that I have been here before.
David: But you don't really remember it.

Leo: I hate it when you see through me.
Greenlee: I know you, Leo.
Leo: Ok, fine, I’ll admit it. It is personal. And it is about more than just the money.
Greenlee: And us and Paris?
Leo: And I know how you feel about Vanessa. But ever since she morphed into this real human, she seems different, you know? She seems like --
Greenlee: The mother you always dreamed of.
Leo: Well, you got to admit she does seem like she cares.
Greenlee: And you believe her.
Leo: No, no, no, I -- I worry about her. And we both know that Vanessa could take down an army if she had to -- I’ve always known that -- but Nessa's not like that. Nessa isn't tough.
Greenlee: And you want to take care of her.
Leo: No, I just want to protect her because I think that Trey could do her in, or worse, I think that he could send her back to being Vanessa. Say something.
Greenlee: I thought you finally stopped letting her suck you in.
Leo: No, this -- she isn't Vanessa.
Greenlee: How the hell do you know that, Leo? What if she's faking?
Leo: Because the doctors say that she isn't!
Greenlee: Well, she's faked them out before.
Leo: I know that you want to ignore what these doctors are saying, Greenlee, and just, you know, lock her up forever, but it's not --
Greenlee: Hello! The woman tried to kill me twice!
Leo: I know, I know, I know. I know. And I completely understand where you're coming from and I don't blame you for it --
Greenlee: That's so big of you.
Leo: But will you please just try to understand where I’m coming from? It's like my real mother was being held hostage all these years and all of a sudden she got loose and she found me.

Trey: Hey, I’m not complaining. It's just that you changed your mind. I'm a little surprised. What happened?
Maggie: Well, I told you, I wanted to check up on that lady and, well, she ended up worse than I expected, and you were the first person I bumped into, so --
Trey: So I caught the fallout, huh?
Maggie: I'm sorry. That wasn't fair.
Trey: Hey, we're here now.
Maggie: I got the feeling that you wanted to talk. Just to let you know, I happen to have credentials in several states as a world-class listener.
Trey: Trophies and ribbons?
Maggie: A whole vanity wall. Ah. So is it about Vanessa? You know, I figured since she's doing well, you'd be happy.
Trey: You think she is?
Maggie: Health wise, yeah. I mean, now with this whole personality, I mean, that's great, right?
Trey: I guess.
Maggie: Well, it'll make it easier for you.
Trey: For me?
Maggie: Yeah, your job. I mean, you're her lawyer.
Trey: Right.
Maggie: I mean, the way I hear it, no one's going to have a problem with this new Nessa person. I mean, Leo said that she's practically like an old-time sitcom mom.
Trey: She is.
Maggie: That's not a good thing?
Trey: She -- pushes some of my buttons.
Maggie: Why?
Trey: I want to tell you the truth -- about where I come from.
Maggie: Well, with a name like James Kenyon III, I guess you come from a pretty fancy place.
Trey: The Kenyon’s aren't my biological parents. My real mother, the one who gave birth to me? She threw me away.

Greenlee: Leo, somewhere inside this new, happy mommy is the woman who held a knife to my throat.
Leo: Yeah.
Greenlee: Can you honestly tell me that Vanessa’s gone for good?
Leo: No, I can't. But that doesn't mean that I should give up on her.
Greenlee: I don't believe this.
Leo: Greenlee, I tried to give up on her -- you know I did -- but I can't right now, especially after all this other stuff came out, so please don't ask me to. And look, I know that this is hard for you to understand because your parents never did any of the stuff that Vanessa did, but you wanted to believe that they had it in them to change.
Greenlee: That was different.
Leo: Is it? Because you kept hoping right up until the end with your father. You turned our wedding over to your mother because you wanted to think that she cared.
Greenlee: And I was wrong.
Leo: But I have evidence, Greenlee, I have experts telling me that my mother really is a different person, that she's not Vanessa. So how can I just walk away from that? How could any son do that to his mother?
Maggie: So what do you know about your mother? Why'd she put you up for adoption?
Trey: I spent a lot of time in foster care.
Maggie: That can be rough.
Trey: I don't even know how many homes I was in, I bounced around so much.
Maggie: I'm sorry, Trey. That's awful.
Trey: I don't know why it happened that way. I used to think that somebody in the system had it out for me.
Maggie: So how'd you get through it?
Trey: I always used to have this fantasy that my real mom would find out what was going down and --
Maggie: And she'd come and save you?
Trey: Every night. Every damn night I’d wish for that.
Maggie: So you used to do the "wish on the first star you see" thing?
Trey: I even tried praying. You're the first person I’ve admitted that to.
Maggie: Yeah, I get that.
Trey: And now, seeing Nessa come back from wherever the hell they said she's been and her being all over her two prodigal sons --
Maggie: Well, sure, it makes you think of your own mother.
Trey: You sound like you can relate.
Maggie: Yeah, my mother wasn't really a walk in the park, either. So how'd you end up a Kenyon -- a third, no less?
Trey: The day I became a Kenyon, as far as I’m concerned, is the day my life started. Look, Maggie, I know I don't have to say this to you, but you will keep all this junk to yourself, right?

Brooke: I can't believe that you did this.
Tad: I had to. I knew that you were lying to me. You were still bothered about something. I didn't have a choice.

Edmund: Tad, what are you doing in my house?
Brooke: Edmund, wait --
Edmund: You're not welcome here, do you understand?
Tad: If you just give me --
Edmund: No, listen to me, I am marrying Brooke tomorrow, all right, and you can't stop that.
Brooke: Edmund, I just need to speak to Tad for a minute, please.
Edmund: I'll be upstairs.

Tad: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Look, I know you've been through hell, but it would just be worse if he knew about it.
Brooke: Do you know what you've done? Do you?
Tad: Yes.
Brooke: Everything would've been ok, it would've been fine if you'd just left it alone. Why couldn't you just leave it alone?
Tad: Everything is fine! Look at the picture. Look!
Tad: You don't have to be afraid. This is a Maureen Gorman, a woman you never have to worry about ever, ever again.
[Tad shows Brooke the picture – it is the face of the fake Maureen Gorman – not Maria]
Brooke: Oh. Thank God! Oh, thank God!

David: Do you have any idea the trouble you put yourself in by coming to Pine Valley?
Maria: I know, I know, it's just that I --
David: Maureen --
Maria: I told you, I couldn't give it up.
David: Maureen, you could be arrested for murder.
Maria: But I’m going to be careful, really.
David: Please just tell me that you did not try to contact Brooke English again.
Maria: I thought about it.
David: But you didn't try it, right?
Maria: No, no, I didn't.
David: And you covered your tracks when you left Nevada just like we planned?
Maria: Yes, I did exactly what you said. I put my personnel file back in the hospital records and I changed the picture with the picture of that girl that I told you looks like me.
David: Good, good, good. That should throw them off for a while. But -- but every minute that you remain here, you're putting yourself in a much bigger risk.
Maria: I know. I -- look, I’m sorry, I couldn't reach you. All my stuff was stolen -- my cell phone -- there was nobody that I could trust.
David: Maureen, you can trust me, always.
Maria: I know, I know I can, and I’m sorry that I didn't listen to you, but it's just that those dreams about Brooke, they just seemed so real.
David: No, no, they're not real. It's your anxiety. That's it. That's it. It's not real.
Maria: But that doesn't make sense because Brooke is real and she's living in that big castle that I kept drawing! What does all that mean, David?
David: Maureen, do you have faith in me?
Maria: Yes, you know I do.
David: Then let it go, ok? You have to let it go because --
Maria: David, what?
David: No, nothing. It's nothing.
Maria: What is it?
David: Don't, don't –
[Maria turns around and sees the crypt with her name on it]
Maria: "Maria Santos Grey."

[Leo talks to ’Nessa’]
Leo: Is it really you? All these years you were in there trying to get out, and I never knew?
Leo: I'm sorry. I feel like I should -- I feel like I should've known somehow, like I should've helped you, but I thought that you were -- I didn't know about this other little person inside. And when I think about the way I treated you -- you know, I told myself I could never forgive you, I could never get past all the things that you did. I'm looking at you right now and I think -- I think maybe I could. I promise I’m going to protect you. Nobody's ever going to hurt you again.

Greenlee: Leo, Maggie’s here.
Leo: Good.
Leo: What'd you find out?
Maggie: I just don't think it's going to be what you expected.
Leo: Well, let me decide that.
Maggie: He didn't want to make a confession. He just wanted to unload, that's it.
Leo: So what did he say?
Maggie: He just wanted to talk about his feelings, you know, and about his family.
Greenlee: Ok, if Maggie can't find anything on Trey, maybe we should just drop this.
Leo: Or -- maybe that's it.
Greenlee: What?
Leo: His family. Maybe that's the answer.

Tad: I just wanted you to be able to relax. That's why I came.
Brooke: You really got this from that hospital out west?
Tad: Yeah, it's all right there. I just want you to look at it again so you can let this thing go. That's Maureen Gorman. It's not Maria. She doesn't even look like Maria, does she?
Brooke: No. No, not a chance.
Tad: Can you accept that? Really?
Brooke: Yes, there's no way that this woman could be Maria.
Tad: I just wanted you to see this, you know, when it's not 200 degrees in the shade and you're not out of your mind from exhaustion.
Brooke: I was just -- I was out of my mind. You knew that, didn't you? Oh, Tad, thank you.
Tad: It's more than worth it.
Brooke: "Worth it"? Oh, God, how many laws did you break to get this from the hospital?
Tad: A couple. But I’d do it again in a second just to see that look on your face.
Brooke: Oh, you're the best friend -- you really are -- in the universe.
Tad: I don't know about that. But I do want you to be happy on your wedding day.
Brooke: Oh, when you see me in that pew tomorrow, I’m going to be the happiest bride in the whole world. You gave me peace of mind.
Tad: Good. I can save a little money on a wedding present.
Brooke: This is the best wedding present that I will ever get. I mean, I can finally put all of this behind me now. It seems like it's been so long.

Edmund: Brooke?
Tad: What --
Brooke: There's no need to bring all of that back up for Edmund again.

Anna: All right, tell me about this missing woman of yours.
Aidan: Well, I don't know much else apart from what I’ve already told you.
Anna: You must. She was staying with you, wasn't she? How did that happen?
Aidan: I found her in the park.
Anna: You found her and you took her in?
Aidan: Well, she was terrified. She had no money and she had no place to go.
Anna: What, she doesn't have any family or friends or --
Aidan: No, nothing. And when she first stayed with me, she didn't trust me at all. But then when she opened up, she told me that she had lost her memory.
Anna: You believed her?
Aidan: Well, yeah. I mean, it fit with the way she was acting. And when she told me that, I just wanted to help her, and I tried, but seemed to me like, you know, I must have scared her off or something.
Anna: So now you're running around trying to find her? Aidan --
Aidan: I know. I know. Don't say it.
Anna: Well, we just have a genetic propensity in this family for rescue missions.
Aidan: There was something about her. I could just tell she was in a lot of trouble.
Anna: Ok, and the Devane DNA kicked in, that's all.
Aidan: If you'd have been there, you'd have done exactly the same thing.
Anna: I doubt it.
Aidan: She was robbed, Anna. They had taken everything she owned.
Anna: She was mugged in the park?
Aidan: That's exactly where I found her.
Anna: In the park near Wildwind?
Aidan: Uh-huh.
Anna: Did she report this to the police?
Aidan: No, she was too scared.
Anna: Why?
Aidan: Well, you know, like I said before, I mean, she was lost. She was confused.
Anna: This bag, you know, that she had stolen -- did she tell you what it looked like?
Aidan: No.
Anna: And was a cell phone in it?
Aidan: She said she lost her cell phone, yeah.
Anna: I think I’ve got your friend's bag and mobile.
Aidan: You're joking. Seriously? Well, what else? Is there something else?
Anna: Yeah. David overheard me talking to the man that I think is a suspect in this case and he was really interested in who this woman might be.

David: Maureen, we have to leave right now.
Maria: I know that name.
David: We have more important things to worry about right now, like trying to keep you out of jail.
Maria: I know this me. This is the name that Brooke English used. This is the one that she was talking about. She said that I have the same exact initials.
David: Forget what Brooke English said!
Maria: No, she made a big point of this, David. Why would she do that? Oh, my God, you -- oh, you know, don't you? You know. There's a lot more that you are not telling me.
David: You're asking me to give answers about --
Maria: Who is she?
David: A conversation I wasn't there for?
Maria: Who is she, David? Who is Maria Santos Grey?

Leo: Do you remember when Trey first got here, his father was supposed to be the one that was supposed to be representing Vanessa, but where is old man Kenyon?
Greenlee: Well, in case you've forgotten between the breakdowns and the escapes, Vanessa hasn't been to court yet.
Leo: Yeah, but this is a huge case and nobody's heard a single word from the guy. Isn't that a little weird?
Greenlee: What's your plan? I know you've got one.
Leo: I'm going to go to Ohio. I'm just going to go check out his family, see if Kenyon number two knows what number three's been up to, know what I mean?
Maggie: You know, I don't feel too good about this who thing. I feel like I just conned this guy.
Leo: What are you talk-- we're talking about the guy who tried to set Vanessa free, Maggie.
Greenlee: No, I’m talking about a person who wants to have a "welcome home, mother" party.
Maggie: All right, you know what? I'm just going to stay out of this, ok? You do what you got to do.
Leo: Ok, ok, well, thanks. You've been a big help.
Maggie: All right. Just don't be so hard on him. Believe me, he's had it really rough. Trust me on that. I'll see you guys later.

Leo: I know you're not happy, Greenlee.
Greenlee: I'll follow you to Paris, but Ohio? Not happening.
Leo: Well, you could smile for me. Please? Just a little smile?
Greenlee: I don't like this, Leo.
Leo: I'm just going to go poke around a little bit, see if the rest of Trey's family is as full of it as he is.

Aidan: Why would David be interested in some random mugging?
Anna: I really couldn't say.
Aidan: That's odd.
Anna: I'll tell you something else -- someone called that cell phone that I now believe belonged to your friend, Maureen, and they hung up when I answered. We traced the call to this hotel.
Aidan: What are you thinking?
Anna: That we should go and find Maureen.
Aidan: What, now?
Anna: Mm-hmm.
Aidan: Don't you have to tell David something?
Anna: I'm not in the mood.
Aidan: You all right?
Anna: Yeah, I’m fine. I will be fine once I can figure out what this is all about.

Brooke: Again, thank you for everything. Listen, I -- I know it couldn't have been easy for you --
Tad: Hey --
Brooke: But now that it's all over --
Tad: Hey, I’ll see you tomorrow.

Brooke: Edmund?
Edmund: I just want to know what this is and why you hid it from me.

David: Maureen, I don't know what Brooke English said to you --
Maria: It was like e was obsessed with this name. She was obsessed with it, and she turns in that big house, Maria Grey's name ends up in here --
David: You got to drop it, Maureen, for your own good.
Maria: And this woman is dead. Why didn't -- Brooke didn't mention any of that. Why didn't she mention any of that?
David: Stop it! You've got to stop this, ok?
Maria: No, you don't understand, this is making me crazy! Not knowing is making me crazy!
David: Don't you see that knowing is going to ruin everything?
Maria: No. David, please, you've got to tell me!
David: You're not ready.
Maria: Ready? What do you mean I’m not ready?
David: You got to let go, Maureen. You've just got to believe in me and just let it go, let it go.
Maria: I can't. You have -- you have no idea the horrible things that go through my mind, you have no idea the kind of things that I imagine. So the truth would be better than that! Anything would be better than that!
David: You remember how devastated you were when I was forced to tell you what you had done, that you killed someone?
Maria: Oh, my God, are you comparing --
David: I'm not comparing anything, Maureen.
Maria: I don't understand. I don't understand. Who's Maria Santos Grey?
David: She's the woman! She's the woman you killed.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Maggie: You don't have to be scared of me.
Bianca: Why are we even talking about this?
Maggie: Because I like you.

Guard: Someone's been in the graveyard and mausoleum.
Brooke: Uh-oh, ghosts.

Maria: I'm going to go to the house and I’m going to turn myself in.
