ALL MY CHILDREN

MAY 1, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Trey: 20 grand doesn't mean anything to Liza. But it'll buy your son a lifetime.

Kendall's voice: That's right, mother. Give her the love I'll never have. I'll take your hate instead, and I'll use it against you.

Erica: I am more determined than ever to get Kendall out of our lives.

Greenlee: Yes, Leo, I'll marry you.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Jack: You know, Kendall's the one who should be up on charges. Sending that child out with two bottles of champagne -- what was she thinking about?
Erica: Well, both girls made really terrible mistakes. I'm just really grateful to you, Jack, you know, that you're taking care of it. Thank you.
Jack: Well, Bianca's not quite out of the woods yet. You understand that?
Erica: Well, no, but thanks to you, she's not going to be arrested, and at least you kept her DUI out of the papers.
Jack: So far.

Kendall: Hi.
Erica: Hi.
Jack: Hi.
Kendall: I -- I brought some of Myrtle's corn muffins. I mean, it's not much, but for Bianca's sake, you should probably keep up your strength.

Adam: Mia? Have you been in here all night? Are you ok?
Mia: I feel like hell.
Adam: You want me to call someone for you?
Mia: There's no one to call. So I have to ask you. Adam, I need to borrow some money.
Adam: Is that all? Fine, fine. How much?
Mia: $20,000.

Erica: I just haven't been able to think about food, but thank you. Maybe Jack.
Jack: Maybe later.
Erica: Ok.
Ryan: So how's Bianca this morning?
Erica: Oh, she's much better, thank you. Not well enough to have visitors, but --
Kendall: Well, we'll -- we'll stick around for a while just in case.
Erica: I thought you would.

Ryan: So how do you feel?
Kendall: Relieved, now that I know Binky's going to be ok. And you saw Erica and I. We've reached a new level of understanding.
Ryan: Yeah, worrying about Bianca has kind of forged a bond between you two.
Kendall: Well, it keeps it simple.
Ryan: Yeah.
Kendall: Do you mind getting me a bottle of water?
Ryan: Sure.
Kendall: Thanks.

[Kendall dials her cell phone]
Kendall: Donald Steele, please. Never mind who this is, just put me through. Mr. Steele, I have a hot tip for you. Erica Kane is about to escape justice again. She thinks her daughter Bianca is above the law.

[Greenlee wakes up - alone]
Greenlee: Leo -- Leo, I had the most wonderful--
Greenlee: Leo? My engagement ring--
Greenlee: It was all a dream.

Hayley: I don't care what it tastes like. Nobody is naming a drink after our son.
Mateo: But Marty thought it was a good idea -- you know, marketing-wise.
Hayley: But Marty is just trying to score points with you. Ok? Sorry, we're closed.
Chris: Well, that's good because I'm not here to eat or drink.
Hayley: Oh, really? Then what do you want?
Chris: Help. Mateo, how would you like to be the final nail in Vanessa Cortlandt's coffin, huh?

Vanessa: Well, you might as well come in now that you know my secret.
Trey: Ok. What do I know?
Vanessa: Oh -- that I never use waterproof mascara. When I cry, I gave my fans rivers of gray.
Trey: Save the Hollywood babble-on, Vanessa. I'm here to talk business. Your son Leo -- you can't trust him. You've got to sign over your power of attorney to me.
Vanessa: What are you -- come on, you already have my autograph.
Trey: Star Lady, Leo can't do for you what I can. He's pulled a fast one. It's going to leave your mascara running for weeks.

Greenlee: No Leo, no ring, no fabulous new life. This time I'm caught in a rerun of "Dallas." It was all a dream.
[Leo walks into Greenlee's loft carry catalogs, etc.]
Leo: Are you going to help me or what?
Greenlee: Leo. Leo, Leo, Leo!
Leo: Whoa, watch it! Hey. Look at -- I got bouquet samples, I got wedding veils, I've got ideas from the wedding cake makers.
Greenlee: Leo, we're getting married.
Leo: Yeah. And this time, because it's the last time, I'm going to make sure everything's perfect.
[Leo takes Greenlee's ring out of his pocket]
Leo: Will you marry me, Greenlee Smythe?
Greenlee: You know I will.
Leo: Well, then accept my proposal as a sign of my love. Come on, come on.
Greenlee: Oh. You got it engraved. That's why you took it. "Forever. Do not remove."
Leo: Yeah. You like it?
Greenlee: Leo, you are so romantic.
Leo: And determined, Greenlee. This is it. Nothing else is going to get in our way.
Greenlee: Leo, I don't want to wait a second longer to he to get married.
[Phone rings]
Leo: Are you going to get that?
Greenlee: No. Let the machine get it.
[Answering machine beeps]
Erica: Greenlee, it's Erica. If you're there, pick up.
Greenlee: No.
Erica: Call me back as soon as you can -- sooner. As soon as you get this, call me.
Leo: Let me guess -- Erica needs you.
Greenlee: We just got re-engaged. Erica and her corporate games can wait.
[Knock on door]
[Greenlee groans]
Leo: What, is she calling from the hallway?
Greenlee: Wouldn't surprise me.
[Greenlee opens the door]
Roger: Hey!
Greenlee: Daddy!
Roger: Kids, what's shaking?
Greenlee: Well, come on in and we will tell you all about it.
Roger: Ok. Hey. Is someone getting married?
Leo: Yeah. Under the circumstances, I would've asked for her hand, but --
Roger: All I want is Greenlee's happiness.
Greenlee: Then we're all getting what we want.
[Knock on door]
Roger: I'll get the door, all right? Ok.
Simone: Hi. I -- I was just looking for Greenlee.
Greenlee: Well, look a little further. You remember my father?
Roger: Yeah.
Simone: Yeah.
Roger: Simone, isn't it?
Simone: Yes.
Greenlee: Notice anything?
Simone: Oh! You're engaged again!
Greenlee: Aah!
Simone: Congratulations. Oh, I knew you had it in you. Eventually you'd get your act together.
Leo: Thank you for making me go in that direction.
Roger: So we owe all of this happiness to you, Simone?
Simone: Oh, I -- I just, you know, gave true love a little boost.
Leo: Well, I hate to propose and run, but I've got one last mission to accomplish before I can rest.
Greenlee: We haven't made any decisions yet.
Leo: Well, we can do that later. I've just got to take out a little wedding insurance first.
Greenlee: Who sells wedding insurance?

Bianca: Am I going to -- am I going to have to go to court? Are they going to take my license away?
Erica: Honey, your -- your Uncle Jack feels that he can help us avoid some of that.
Bianca: I'll do community service and I'll take classes --
Erica: Bianca, Honey, we're going to just worry about all of that when we have to, ok? Right now just be really grateful that you're not going to be arrested.
Jack: Yeah, that way we can hopefully keep it out of the papers.
[Donald Steele strolls into Bianca's room]
Erica: How did you get in here?
Donald: So this cozy cover-up is your doing, huh, Mr. District Attorney?
Jack: Steele, do yourself a favor -- turn around and go back out from which way you came.
Donald: What a cover story -- "Diva's Drunken Daughter Gets Special Treatment From Uncle DA." Oh, man.

Mateo: Anything to Vanessa's claim that she's being gas lighted?
Chris: She says you're doing it.
Hayley: Please. We know that's not true.
Chris: But somebody is getting to her, and that's why I'm here. That's why I need you. I need you to go undercover for me.
Hayley: Excuse me?
Chris: You know it, Mateo. You're the only one. You were the only one who could get evidence on Proteus when no one else could.
Hayley: Right, and where is it? Where'd it go? Sorry, my husband doesn't deal with incompetents. Good-bye.
Chris: You want to help put her away for good?
Hayley: Deja vu, vu vu vu vu.
Chris: Sitting here, serving drinks, snacks -- that just doesn't plug you in now, does it, Mateo?
Hayley: Staying alive and being with his family provides endless hours of entertainment.
Chris: I know you, and I know that you miss that adrenaline rush that comes from the hunt, from tracking them down. Don't you?
Hayley: Yeah, getting stabbed -- that was great, wasn't it? How about being kidnapped? Yeah, that was really great. I tell you what, Chris -- get out of here and take your offer and shove it!
Mateo: Wait. Go ahead, I'm listening.

Trey: I'm sorry to break this to you.
Vanessa: No! No, I will -- I'm not going to be replaced. You know, I will sue.
Trey: Listen to me. Greenlee and Leo kissed and made up. They're more in love than ever.
Vanessa: Greenlee -- this upstart? Oh, please. She's nothing but a day player.
Trey: I'm sorry, Sarah Heartburn. I saw the happy couple with my own two eyes. They're headed for the altar.
Vanessa: No! They are not going to marry her to this picture.
Trey: Greenlee reeled him back in. He doesn't give a damn about you.
Vanessa: Don't you say that. Don't -- don't you ever say that.
Trey: Listen, Vanessa. We have to look out for your best interests, you and I. Sign this. It gives me your power of attorney.
Vanessa: Well -- oh, look at this -- somebody's already witnessed it.
Trey: See, I've thought of everything. Go ahead.
Vanessa: Well, how can I resist? You know, you come on so strong, so -- I don't know -- musky man, you manly, manly, man.
[Vanessa signs the paper]
Trey: You won't regret this.
Vanessa: Oh, I know I won't.

Adam: Gambling debt?
Mia: Adam, it's for my -- I have a son and he's terribly, terribly sick.
Adam: You have a child?
Mia: I had to put him up for adoption and the couple who are caring for him can't afford the treatment, and they say that -- they say that he might die.
Adam: And you just found out about all this?
Mia: Yeah, I was thinking that maybe I could get a loan or something, but --
Adam: No, no, no, no, no. No one's going to advance you that kind of money without solid collateral.
Mia: Exactly. And I don't have anything to borrow against and I have practically no savings whatsoever.
Adam: And no family to lean on.
Mia: Exactly. And I didn't want to bother Liza with all this because -- well, you know.
Adam: Well, I'm very grateful for that.
Mia: I know I have absolutely no right to ask you. But if it weren't for my little boy -- can you help me?
Adam: I can. But I'm not going to give you a damn dime.

Chris: Well? What do you think?
Hayley: Well, I already weighed in on my opinion, so I know he must be talking to you.
Mateo: One second.

Mateo: Come here for a second. Listen, you know this won't be over until Vanessa's in jail.
Hayley: I actually thought that you had let this go.
Mateo: Yeah, I thought I had, too. But I like doing something that matters.
Hayley: Well, that's because you are a decent person and you are an upstanding guy and you want to make a difference.
Mateo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, making sure somebody's Martini is dry or making sure that --
Hayley: Ahem --
Mateo: The bacon in the BLT is crispy -- that's fine and everything, but it just doesn't cut it.
Hayley: Oh, why do I even bother? Go ahead, then. Go for it.
Mateo: You know I won't if you don't -- if you want me to, I'll say no, you know?
Hayley: Then what kind of marriage are we going to have? Go ahead. Go tell Stamp what he wants to hear.

Mateo: I'm in.
Chris: That's great. Thank you.
Hayley: Here's the PS from me -- anything happens to him -- you know, if he's harmed in any way -- it's going to become your problem, and I will hunt you down and make you pay in some painful and horrible way. That's my promise to you. Have a nice day.

Chris: I -- I get the feeling she's capable of ordering a hit.
Mateo: On you, she'd take it out personally. So let's get to it. What's our first move?

Vanessa: Finally, a real man to look after my affairs. But are you sure that document is absolutely legal?
Trey: Oh, like The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence-- Blanche Dubois?
Vanessa: I know there is, you know, a number of personalities roaming around in here, but none of them are stupid.
Trey: This power of attorney is to your advantage.
Vanessa: Now, you listen to me, Shecky, because I'm not signing any new contracts until you free me from this work camp. Come on. You spring me and you'll be rewarded more than your standard 10%
Trey: Let's talk advance.
Vanessa: No. No, Shecky. You're not going to see one penny in advance until you get me out of here. Deal?
Trey: Deal.

Donald: Come on, people. Give me some dishy quotes. Erica, how does it feel to have the DA in your pocket?
Jack: Nobody has me in their pocket, Steele.
Donald: Yeah, but blood is thicker than booze, so how exactly are you protecting your niece?
Jack: You know, I asked you nicely to leave. Now I'm going to make a little stronger suggestion.
Donald: Ooh, it's time for threats, huh? Go ahead, take your best shot.
Erica: Yeah, just so you can file an assault charge?
Jack: I wouldn't dirty my hands.
Ryan: Really? Because I would.
Donald: It's not your fight, Pal.
Kendall: I -- I didn't even see him come in.
Donald: So, Erica, what's the deal? Your daughter was out partying with a new girlfriend?
Bianca: No, it wasn't like --
Jack: Don't say a word to this guy.
Erica: Bianca was injured.
Donald: Oh. Hello. You didn't teach her that mixing 80-proof blood and gasoline is a dangerous cocktail? But of course, you know, with your money and his power, there's no rap Bianca can't beat.
Bianca: Nobody is fixing this for me!
Erica: Honey, you don't need to talk to him.
Donald: Well, I'm going to be watching what happens just in case this incident starts to disappear.
Erica: Well, we all know you'll never let that happen, not as long as you have a shovel and a laptop.
Donald: Oh, come on. Somebody's got to keep you privileged characters honest.
Jack: Yeah, yeah. You know --
Ryan: No, you know what?
Donald: Whoa, whoa --
Ryan: Let me. Allow me. I need the exercise, Jack.
Donald: Hey, hey, don't do anything you don't want to see in print, big guy!
Ryan: Oh, "Ryan Lavery Rids The Planet Of The Scum-Sucking Leech." Sounds pretty good to me, man.
[Ryan throws Donald out of Bianca's room - and the hospital]

Erica: How in the world did he find us?
Jack: "How"? Honey, there's not anybody --
Erica: I mean, your name isn't even on the patients' list.
Jack: There's not anybody in town that doesn't recognize you.
Erica: But who tipped him off?
Jack: Who tipped him off? You've got to be kidding -- you have no idea?
[Jack looks at Kendall]

Adam: You set us up!
Mia: No, I didn't.
Adam: You wheedled your way into this house, you passed yourself off as part of this family.
Mia: If you think this was, like, some plan or something, no.
Adam: You're good, Mia. You're good. Posing as the faithful doting sister and nurse, manipulating my daughter and my brother and his wife?
Mia: I care about all of you. Honestly, I do.
Adam: Yeah, you've exerted a great deal of energy positioning us for your little con game.
Mia: Con? It's true! My son is sick!
Adam: Yeah, borrowing money so little Jimmy can get an operation. That plea was worn out before movies talked!
Mia: Adam, I swear to you --
Adam: How convenient it all is -- a little boy that nobody knew about, the son that nobody -- how stupid do you think I am?
[Liza walks in]
Liza: Isn't that a dangerous question to ask an honest woman?
Adam: I was asking Mia.
Liza: I don't think I like the sound of any of this.
Adam: Darling, I'm sorry if we disturbed you. Why don't you go have breakfast with Colby.
Liza: I heard you mention Mia's baby.
Adam: You knew about --
Liza: Well, has something happened to him?
Mia: Yes.
Adam: This is real? This --
Liza: What is it?
Adam: She said her son was sick. Why -- why wasn't I told? I didn't know she had a son. I assumed that she was after --
Liza: You -- you -- you assumed wrong.
Adam: Yes. Well, Mia, I -- I guess I owe you an apology. I should have investigated before I made accusations.
Liza: You do that next time. Then you won't feel so foolish.
Adam: Well, I'll write you a check. $20,000 -- Was that it? Be right back.

Mia: I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to ask him.
Liza: It's ok.
Mia: Thank you for believing me. I have absolutely no way to prove to you that it's true.
Liza: Well, if all you wanted was money, you could've taken mine. You had it weeks ago. I hope your little boy will be all right. Well, can I trust the two of you while I go and take my medicine?
Adam: I think we'll be fine.
Adam: I do feel a little left out of the loop. I wish you'd have told me.
Mia: Well, if somebody came to me with that story that I just told you, I'd probably think they were lying, too.
Adam: No, you probably wouldn't. Anyway, I'm sorry I put you through that.
Mia: God, yeah. I'd hate to be on your bad side.
Adam: Well, I don't think you need to worry about that anymore. Here. So, promise me one thing -- if you ever need me for anything again, will you come to me right away?
Mia: Yeah. Thank you.
Adam: Well, feel better?
[Adam and Mia hug and Hayley watches]
Mia: Yes. Thank you. Thank you for everything.
Adam: I'm glad I could help.
Hayley: Hi, there.
Adam: Oh, hello Sweetheart.
Mia: Hi, Hayley.
Hayley: What's going on?
Adam: Oh, just some family business.
Hayley: Well, that's great. I'm family. Fill me in.
Mia: Oh, your father is just being an extremely generous, wonderful --
Hayley: No, really. Really. Really, what's going on?
Adam: Yes, I'm glad to see you, too, Sweetheart.
Hayley: How's Liza? I wanted to check on her.
Adam: She will be overwhelmed. Come -- come on, come on.
Hayley: Did you just give Mia a check? Did you?
[Hayley and Adam walk out of the room]

[Mia dials the phone]
[Phone rings]
Trey: Hello?
Mia: Trey, I got the money, all of it. Adam gave it to me.
Trey: That's great. Meet me at the SOS in 20 minutes.
Mia: And you can get it to William's parents, right? He's going to be ok?
Trey: You bet, you bet. You just saved his life.

Vanessa: Was that a woman on the phone?
Trey: What difference does it make?
Vanessa: Because my last agent always put me first no matter what. And I will not tolerate, you know, dalliances with little chippy starlets.
Trey: You're the one and only star I care to represent. We have a deal now, don't we? I'm going to make sure you go free.
Vanessa: Yes. You work your magic, Shecky, because I have to be free to accept roles whenever and wherever offered.

Erica: Jack, could I please speak to you in private?
Jack: You most certainly could.
Erica: Thank you.

Jack: What is with you? You know that Kendall was the one that sicced that muckraker on us.
Erica: Jack, please don't do that. Please don't make accusations when you don't have evidence to back them up.
Jack: What? What are you trying to pull here?
Erica: What are you talking about?
Jack: I'm talking about all this chummy, chummy, chummy stuff with Kendall. Oh, wait a minute. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What have you got planned for her?
Erica: Nothing.
Jack: That's the right answer. Especially if it's something illegal, I don't want to hear about it because I don't want to have to prosecute you again.
Erica: Jack --
Jack: What?
Erica: There is nothing illegal, and I have everything under control.
Jack: Now I'm frightened. Thanks.

Kendall: You know, Bianca's been through enough as it is. She didn't need that scene in there.
Ryan: Stop beating yourself up, ok? Stop.
Kendall: You know what? It's taken a long time, but I think -- I think I finally understand Erica and Bianca.

[Kendall's wicked little daydream]
[An officer handcuffs Bianca]
Bianca: What are you doing?
Officer: Come on.
Bianca: No!
Officer: Just calm down.
Bianca: What are you doing? Mom!
Erica: No! Don't you touch her!
Officer: She's under arrest, Ma'am.
Bianca: No, Mommy! Please don't let him arrest me, please!
Erica: You can't arrest my daughter. You call Jackson Montgomery. He's the district attorney. He'll fix this.
Officer: He was removed from office this morning.
Erica: What? Jack Montgomery lost his job? Well, then, you call Derek Frye. I've known him for years.
Bianca: No, you can't arrest me!
Erica: You can't arrest her! Look, I need a bodyguard. Come to work for me. I'll pay you $500,000 a year.
Officer: That sounds like a bribe.
Erica: No, no, no, it's just a job offer. And then you'd be so surprised about all the benefits you'd have on my payroll. What are you doing?
[The officer handcuffs Erica]
Officer: You have the right to remain silent.
Bianca: No!
Officer: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Eric no, you can't do this!
Officer: You have the right to have an attorney present.
Erica: No!
Officer: If you cannot afford an attorney, you'll be appointed one by the court free of charge. Do you understand?
Erica: No!
Bianca: No!
Erica: No!

Kendall: What a picture.
Ryan: What? What?
Kendall: You. You. You throwing that lowlife Donald Steele out on his rear. It was great.
Ryan: Yeah.
Kendall: It was great.
Ryan: Well, you know --
Kendall: Erica, are you ok?
Erica: Barely.
Kendall: I'm so sorry you and Bianca had to deal with that creep. I didn't even see him come in.
Erica: No, no, none of us did. Ryan, I thank you for getting rid of him.
Ryan: Hey, my pleasure, believe me.
Kendall: How could that leech pounce on Bianca at a time like this?
Erica: Yeah. It's really amazing how few people have a conscience.
Ryan: If you want to go back inside with her, we can stand guard out here.
Kendall: Yeah, only this time we'll be a lot more alert.
Erica: Well, I can't tell you how really, really confident that makes me feel.

[Erica 'dreams' her own little wicked scheme]
Chris: It's done.
Erica: Well?
Chris: I made sure she got on the bus and I followed it all the way to the state line myself.
Erica: Oh!
Bianca: Oh!
Sayonara, Kendall, and good riddance.
Erica: Oh, I just knew she was gone. You know, I felt the atmosphere was lighter and the day is sunnier.
Bianca: Mom, you were so right about Kendall. She's poison.
Chris: And I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Sweetheart.
Erica: Oh, just thank God she's gone.
Chris: Amen

[Erica smiles at her daydream]

Erica: Soon, Kendall. Soon.

Leo: Greenlee and I are getting married.
Vanessa: Oh, no, that tired old plot.
Leo: Look, I know that you hate it, Mother, but it works for us.
Vanessa: Well, that's what you think, but I think the whole second act needs a total, drastic revision.
Leo: But listen to me, you whacked out wannabe.
Vanessa: Where is that --
Leo: All right, don't mess with me. Shut up!
Vanessa: But --
Leo: I'm not playing your little game anymore. Shut up. I'm seriously warning you, if you try to hurt Greenlee or you try to screw up my marriage, I will make sure that you are tried and convicted. Do you hear me?
Vanessa: Oh, please, Sweetheart. Courtroom dramas were never your best suit.
Leo: Ok, then I guess I'll take a page out of your book, Mother. Ok, I will lie on the stand if I have to, but you will end up behind bars. Do you hear me?
Vanessa: What? Anything for this Greenlee? Is that it?
Leo: Yes, "anything for this Greenlee." And if your attorney tries to pull off some miracle and you avoid prison, I will send you to hell myself. I will kill you if I have to.
Vanessa: Oh -- please, you're just not the crazed killer type. You ought to stick to those screwball comedy things you do.
Leo: I had you in my sights before, Vanessa.
Vanessa: And couldn't pull it off.
Leo: When you had that knife to Greenlee's throat, I knew right there that if I ever had the chance to pull the trigger on you again I would, and I would enjoy it. You'd be smart not to test me.

[Simone, Greenlee and Roger look through catalogs]
Simone: Oh, it's too nun-like.
Greenlee: Daddy?
Roger: Well, it's not like any nun I ever saw, but what do I know?
Greenlee: It's so not me. Find anything we should see?
Roger: Yeah, you know, if I'm going to contribute anything to this wedding, I'm going to have to learn ice sculpting. ice I can afford.
Greenlee: Well, there are other ways you can contribute.
Roger: Oh, I wish there were, Honey, but with my situation the way it is --
Greenlee: I was hoping you'd walk me down the aisle.
Roger: Me? Really?
Greenlee: You are my father, aren't you?
Roger: Your very proud father gratefully accepts. I'd be honored.
Greenlee: Honored? I need a maid of honor. Simone, would you stand up for me?

Simone: Oh, Greenlee. I mean, all right, you must have some old friend you'd --
Greenlee: No, no, I'm not exactly drowning in girlfriends. Besides, I mean, you are part of the reason that Leo and I are back together.
Simone: Really?
Roger: What exactly did you do?
Simone: Oh, it wasn't all that much.
Greenlee: Simone told me that Leo turned down the book offer.
Roger: Leo's a writer?
Greenlee: No, no. He and Simone were going to write one together. You know, "Son of Proteus: The Inside Scoop."
Simone: Yeah, something like that.
Roger: Sounds like it could sell. Why did he decide against it?
Greenlee: He didn't want me to have to relive the trauma. That's when I knew Leo loved me more than anything in the world.
Simone: Yeah. Lucky you.
Greenlee: But it was a bad break for Simone.
Simone: Yeah.
Greenlee: The book would have been great for her.
Simone: Something will come up.
Roger: It always does, doesn't it?
[Phone rings]
Greenlee: Hello?
Erica: Greenlee, where have you been? I've been trying to get to you all morning.
Greenlee: Erica, I've been busy getting engaged.
Erica: Engaged? To whom?
Greenlee: Leo, of course.
Erica: You know what, Greenlee, I don't have time for all your romantic ups and downs. I need you at the hospital.
Greenlee: Excuse me?
Erica: Now.
Greenlee: The hospital -- Erica, who's in the --

Greenlee: She hung up on me.
Simone: So, forget it.
Greenlee: You know, I am so sick of Erica treating me like I'm some flunky, like my life is completely beneath her notice.
Roger: You know, if want to do battle with Erica, Simone and I would be happy to look through these caring books for you. Wouldn't we, Simone?
Greenlee: Would you? Dealing with her majesty shouldn't take too long. Ok, find out when they can meet with me and give me a tasting sampler, ok?
Roger: Great.
Simone: Ok.
Greenlee: Thank you.
[Greenlee rushes out the door]

Simone: I can't believe you just did that.

Chris: Donald Steele. What a parasite.
Erica: Well, Bianca stood up to him beautifully. It's just that now it's all hitting her, you know. She's going to have to deal with the courts.
Chris: Well, why don't we -- let's take her out to dinner tonight. Why don't we cheer her up?
Erica: I'm just not so sure, you know, that she'll feel up to it.
Chris: Tell her -- you know what? Tell her that it's an unofficial family night. Hey, you guys want to go to dinner with us tonight? My treat.
Ryan: Yeah.
Kendall: Yeah, sure. I'm available. Unless we'd be intruding.
Erica: Of course not. Intruding? No, no. We're all in this together.
Kendall: It feels so good to hear you say that.
Chris: And I'll second that.
Ryan: Yeah, we should go out and celebrate the new peace treaty.
Erica: Ok, I'll go ask Bianca.
Kendall: I hope she'll say yes.
Erica: Kendall, actually, I have to speak to you about Enchantment.
Ryan: Kendall, Chris and I are going to go get my motorcycle at Bodner's filling station. I'll see you later?
Kendall: Oh, yeah. See you later.
Chris: Tell Bianca that she can even pick out the restaurant.
Erica: Ok.

Erica: Actually, this will be a lot easier with them out of the way.
Kendall: Erica, what is it?
Erica: It is something so important, so immense that I just don't have anyone to turn to, anyone I can trust, except you.

[Mia looks at the check Adam gave her]
Mia: Wow.
[Mia turns around and Hayley is standing right behind her - when Mia tries to go around her Hayley moves in her way and stops her]
Excuse me.
Hayley: Oh, I will just as soon as you explain to me what is going on.
Mia: I don't understand.
Hayley: Neither do I, and I don't believe one word of your story because it does not make sense. So before you cha-cha on out of here with that big chunk of Chandler change, you are going to explain to me step by step about this business transaction.

[At SOS]
Trey: Hi.
Mateo: Hey.
Trey: How's business?
Mateo: It's great. You?
Trey: Can't complain.
Mateo: Oh, just wait.
Trey: For what?
Mateo: If I were you, I'd cash in. See, you think you're going to help Vanessa Cortlandt get away with murder, and I'm not going to let you.

Vanessa: Nice work, Sweetheart. I mean, bravo. I'm a tough audience, but you almost had me believing it.
Leo: I will do it if you force me to.
Vanessa: Well, I know that you'll give it your best intention. I know you'll give it your best shot, Darling, but if you do fail, don't worry, I'll be right there for you because we're buddies.
Leo: I'm not going to fail. I'm going to marry Greenlee, and I'm going to keep her safe.
[Leo signals the guard to open the door and leaves Vanessa alone]
Vanessa: Leo! Leo! Haven't you learned one bloody thing from me all these years? You never give your mark the plan. Besides, I could never respect myself if I let Greenlee Dearest live a happy ever after, or live at all, for that matter.

Simone: How could that be more awkward?
Roger: Well, you're free to go, although I'd love your company here.
Simone: Greenlee didn't notice anything?
Roger: Anything like what? Like how much I wanted to do this?
[Roger grabs Simone and kisses her]

Erica: I can trust you, can't I?
Kendall: Erica, you can trust me with your life.
Erica: That's about what this is.
Kendall: Erica, what is it?
Erica: It's Greenlee Smythe. You have got to help me stop her.
[Greenlee walks up to Erica and Kendall after hearing what Erica said]
Greenlee: Stop me? From doing what?

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Mia: Get out of my way or I'm going to walk all over you.

Roger: One night with you wasn't enough. Can this be our secret?

Ryan: Way to go, Kendall. You are so busted.

Erica: This is working exactly as I had planned.
Greenlee: Not quite, Erica. Not quite.
