[Anna talks on the phone]
Anna: No, I'm happy just listening to you talk, Robin. Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about that lately. Well, you know, like, maybe I missed out a bit on the mothering thing. No, I'm fine, I'm fine. Yeah, he's ok. He's just David, you know, same as always.

[THE CHANDLER MANSION]
Hayley: Yeah, well, you know, I'm sure your Mom wasn't the only one excited about this baby. I'm sure the idea of having a little sister was pretty great to you, too, J.R.
Hayley: J.R., listen -- if you want to scream or yell or throw things, you are entitled. I mean, I'm here, it's ok. That baby was going to be a part of your family as well. Hey.
[Enzo cries]
Hayley: How long have you been here?
Mateo: Long enough.

Adam: J.R.'S in there. I'm not sure I can face him.

Adam: I'm not very good dealing with other people's pain, Mia.
Mia: Well, he's your son. You'll figure out the right thing to say.

Hayley: I have to go get his blankie.

[OUTSIDE OF ERICA'S BURNED HOUSE]
Fireman: Let's go, guys. Move those hoses on the side of the house. Ms. Kane, please, stay back!
Erica: No, please. There were two men in my house. You have to find them!
Fireman: There's no way they're alive.

Adam: Well, I was just thanking Mia for all the help she's given me, and with Liza and J.R.
Hayley: Oh, uh-huh.

Hayley: Not good. He's not dealing with this.
Adam: He's still in shock?
Hayley: I don't think so. He's just totally shut down.
Mia: Well, is he inside?
Hayley: He's with Mateo.
Adam: I guess we should go in.

Liza: How are you doing? You know, whatever --
J.R.: Look, I'm handling it!
Liza: I know that you think that you do. I just think that maybe down deep --
J.R.: No!
Mateo: Listen, why don't we go someplace and talk, huh? You know, people handle grief a little differently, so --
Adam: Mateo, if my son needs advice, I'll provide it. Thank you. I went to see Zeke McMillan.
J.R.: About me?
Adam: Yes. I told him what happened and that you might be able to use some counseling. He made time right away. We can see him this evening.
Liza: It might be good to start talking.
Adam: I can drive you to the hospital --
J.R.: Look, I'm not -- I'm not in the mood to talk to Dr. Zeke today, ok?
Adam: Ok. It's your choice, J.R.
J.R.: Fine. I pass.
Liza: You can't deal with this all on your own.
[Doorbell rings]
Hayley: I'll get it.
Mia: No, actually, that's the guy from the drugstore with Liza's medication. I'll handle it. It's ok.

[Mia opens the front door]
Mia: Trey.

David: All right, look, can we back this up a little bit? I'm kind of slow today.

Maggie: Did you or did you not sign me up for CPR classes here at the hospital?
David: Guilty, yes. But --
Maggie: Without even telling me?
David: I was going to, Maggie, but the class was filling up.
Maggie: Ok, stop trying to arrange my life.
David: All of this because of a CPR class? You're kidding, right?
Woman: Dr. Hayward, I don't mean to interrupt, but --
David: It's all right, Zoë. What is it?
Zoë: This came for you.
David: What -- what -- it's from Dixie. Switzerland.
Zoë: I guess it must've been sent before the accident.
David: Thanks. Excuse me.

[David reads the letter]
David's voice: "Dear David, I just want you to know my life is all good now. Tad is on his way to bring me home, and my baby is healthy and safe. Thank you for helping me, for trusting me to know what I needed. I'll never forget it. Dixie."

Maggie: Excuse me, we weren't finished yet.
David: Oh, yeah, we were.
Maggie: Well, what you have to get --
David: You don't want me to butt into your life. Hey, I can understand. I feel the same way.
Maggie: David, I'm sorry --

Kendall: This is all my fault. Ryan could be gone, and this is all my fault!

Liza: J.R., I was only a couple of years older than you when I lost my father. And I went to talk to somebody. I talked to a therapist.
J.R.: Ok, look, you can stop trying to relate. I'm fine. Stop worrying about me, and stop staring at me!
Adam: Oh, J.R., we're just trying to give you the support that you need.

Anna: Hello? Is that Murdock's drugstore? Oh, yes, good. Can you put me through to the pharmacy, please? Hi, this is Anna Devane over at Pine Valley Inn. Yeah, I put in an order for a prescription to be delivered, and it's not here yet. Can you find out? Oh, thanks. Oh, ok.

Anna: There you are.
David: Sorry, I'm running late.
Anna: That's ok.
David: Did you get a chance to see those real estate listings that I left out for you?
Anna: Oh, no. Sorry, I forgot.
David: Why doesn't that surprise me?
Anna: That's a little hostile, isn't it?
David: Sorry.
Anna: Are you all right?
David: It's just been kind of a long, rough day, you know?
Anna: I know. You want to talk about it?
David: I had a run-in with Maggie at the hospital. She wanted to tell me in person that I'm a domineering alpha male, and she wanted me to stop taking control of her life.
Anna: Wow. What did you do?
David: I, AKA. Bigfoot, enrolled her in a CPR class. Why the hell can't anyone see what I'm trying to do?
Anna: Well, you know, she's a very independent girl.
David: I wasn't trying to take away her damn independence!
Anna: I know that.
David: Look, I'm just trying to do what's best for all of us. Give us a better life, you know?
Anna: I'm sorry, when did this become about us?
David: This has always been about what's best for us.
Anna: No, let's just get back to Maggie and why you're going off the deep end about it.

Anna: If you don't ever grieve for Dixie, you don't have to accept the fact that she's gone.

Chris: That -- that wasn't something I dreamed up? What you just said?

Erica: So, it was arson. Are you sure?
Fireman: We'll have to do a complete investigation. But we did find traces of an accelerant in the front bedroom, where the fire started.
Erica: The front bedroom -- oh, my God. That's my daughter's bedroom. That was Bianca's bedroom.

Anna: Oh, you want to mourn Dixie and move on?
David: Yes, I do.
Anna: But you can't because of me?
David: That's right.
Anna: Is there anything else you'd like to pin on me?
David: Oh, no --
Anna: You know, maybe the plight of the homeless or world hunger?
David: I am not blaming you.

David: It's just that anytime I talk about Dixie or how I feel, you see it as a comment on us!
Anna: So you are blaming me.
David: Oh, come on, Anna! I mean, look at the track record. No matter how many times I told you that Dixie and I were over, you didn't want to believe it!
Anna: Let me get something very clear. I never for one second thought the two of you were going to fall back into each other's arms.
David: You were jealous. Admit it!
Anna: No, no, no. That's not what I felt -- what I feel. It has nothing to do with Dixie. It's you, David.
David: Well, you're going to have to explain that one to me.
Anna: I don't see the point.
David: I would like to understand, all right?

Anna: Ok. After your affair with her, you put her on a pedestal so high that I'm surprised that she could even breathe.

Anna: Because of her -- well, because of the fantasy that you have of her, your image of the perfect woman is so out of your grasp, you can never have it.
David: Well, guess what, Anna? Dixie is gone now. So if you think that she was an image or a threat -- she's not anymore.

David: Anna, Dixie is dead.
Anna: But if she were alive, I'd be able to take on the fantasy, you know, and maybe I would win. Well, at least it would be a fair fight.

Anna: Now that Dixie's dead, I don't know if you and I, if we stand a chance at all.

[Mateo hands J.R. a pair of boxing gloves]
J.R.: No, thanks.
Mateo: Put them on.
J.R.: I don't think beating up this bag is going to make anything better, ok?
Mateo: It's going to be a lot better than what you're getting back at your house.
J.R.: Whatever.
Mateo: Listen, J.R, what you got inside -- losing a parent, all right, you've got all this anger inside. You can't live with it, you can't run away from it. You got to g rid of it. Here.
J.R.: When did you become an expert people dying?
Mateo: When I lost my dad in a car crash. If I hadn't had this place, I probably would've killed somebody. I probably would've killed myself.

Hayley: Liza, don't take it personally. His mother just died. He's angry at the world.
Liza: He thinks that I'm the one that should've died in the car crash.
Hayley: That's just not true.
Liza: What, you think I'm making it up?

Adam: I thought, since he seems to be a genius at getting people declared incompetent, I might consult him on Liza's case.

Adam: Actually, I don't think I'm going to be needing you at all.
Trey: So, your wife's not being investigated?

Trey: I'd rather schedule some time to talk to you about ways I might be helpful to you in the future.
Adam: I already have counsel.
Trey: But as you just said, I do have special skills. Now, I only need 10 minutes of your time.

J.R.: That's right, your dad. I forgot.
Mateo: Yeah, and the only difference -- you weren't there when it happened. I was.

Mateo: Yeah. And I kept asking myself, you know, maybe I could've grabbed the wheel. You know, maybe I shouldn't have let him drive that night.
J.R.: What, you think I shouldn't have let my Mom go to Europe?

J.R.: I didn't ask her to stay, did I? Mateo: You think that's the way she saw it?
J.R.: How the hell am I supposed to know? I didn't do anything -- I didn't know she was having this baby, that the baby she was carrying -- I didn't know it could kill her. Forget it. It's stupid. Just forget it
Mateo: Listen. You know she would've done for you the same thing she did for that baby.
J.R.: I think I know my Mom. You don't need to explain her to me.
Mateo: I'm -- I'm not. I'm just trying to tell you about me. Listen, our parents want the best for us, right? You know that. So I just -- I thought I should stop dumping on myself and live my life the way my father would've wanted me to.

Adam: Yes, we are. And we know it. Trey, I'm booked solid for the next two weeks. I will call you, and we'll set something up.

Erica: I just never had any idea that tonight would end like this. I was so afraid.

Chris: Ok, I lied. I was looking forward to the cruise.

Kendall: Ok, you're signed out. Can I go now?
Ryan: What is this? What is this? I walk through fire for you, literally, and all you want to do is split.
Kendall: Yeah.
Ryan: What is the matter with you? I could've died today!
Kendall: Well, that's why I'm trying to get away from you. Because if you stick around with me any longer, you could end up dead.

Hayley: I see your friend Trey has left.
Mia: He's no friend of mine, ok?
Hayley: Oh, no? Well, what is he to you? And what is his fascination with this family?
[Liza screams]

David: Birth control pills, Anna?
Anna: What was I supposed to do, just drop everything because you've announced that you're willing to hear the patter of tiny feet?
David: No, what I was hoping was that this would be a mutual decision, you know? Not just yours alone?
Anna: Having a baby is going to change everything. No, it's a big step, David. We can't just decide it in one day.
David: I know what it means, Anna.
Anna: No, you don't have a clue! It is a commit-- it is a lifelong commitment.
David: And you didn't think that we should discuss something this big together, is that it?
Anna: We are. This is a discussion --
David: No, no, no. You're not hearing what I'm saying.
Anna: I'm not just going to follow your orders, David.
David: I said to "discuss" it, you know? As in together.
Anna: Well, I got the prescription because I'd run out.
David: Clearly, you think this is all up to you. Pretty much like everything else.

[Maggie remembers]
David's voice: You want to go solo, right? Isn't that what you're saying? Hey, that's all right with me, Honey. You're free to go it alone.
Bianca's voice: You don't want me as a friend? No problem. I hope you have a great life -- alone.

Ryan: Hey, hey, are you listening to me? Look at me. I'm not going to die.
Kendall: Yeah, but you came really close, and I'm not taking any more chances.
Ryan: So, what, you're going to just walk out of here? What, do you hate me that much?
Kendall: Hate you? My God, I love you!
Ryan: Excuse me, would you -- would you say that again? Would you repeat that, please?
Kendall: I said I love you.
Ryan: I thought that's what you said.

Jack: Kendall Hart, you're under arrest. For arson, attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
Kendall: What?
Ryan: Are you kidding me?
Kendall: No!
Jack: Why don't you read her her rights, officer.
Officer: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present. If you cannot afford an attorney, but want one present, then one will be appointed to you free of charge prior to questioning.
