ALL MY CHILDREN

OCTOBER 15, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Adam: What I want is for you to see that, despite of everything, we still have a chance.

Trey: I need one ticket out of Pine Valley.

Leo: It's David. He's been arrested again. I'll be back soon, I promise.

Greenlee: I'm not going to let your family get you again!
[Greenlee gasps]
Vanessa: Bonsoir, Greenlee.

TODAY’S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[CHANDLER MANSION]
Adam: J.R.? Where the -- oh, I thought you were --
Liza: J.R. -- I heard.
Adam: You look tired.
Liza: Yeah, well, I'm not going to let the assistant district attorney hang an embezzlement charge around my neck just to boost her career.
Adam: I meant what I said -- I'll help you fight this.
Liza: Thank you.
Adam: Here. Come on, why don't you -- why don't you go get some sleep. This -- you can do this later. I want to talk to you.
J.R.: I just came to pick up my CD player.
Adam: Your principal called today.
J.R.: Ms. Waldner?
Adam: Ms. Waldner, yes. Said that you hadn't appeared in class since early September. Now, when were you planning to share this information with me?
J.R.: I wasn't.
Adam: Excuse me?
J.R.: Look, as long as I’m out of your hair, what's it to you?
Adam: You're a senior in high school, J.R. you can't just choose not to go to school.
J.R.: Like you give a damn.
Adam: Why don't you drop the attitude.
J.R.: Why don't you drop dead.
[Liza runs into the room]
Liza: No, Adam!

[TREY AND KENDALL’S LOFT] [Trey talks on the phone]
Trey: San Francisco. Does that flight leave tonight? Great. No, no, no. One-way ticket. I'm relocating. Ok, flight 326? Thank you.
[Kendall walks into the room]
Kendall: Trey, what are you doing?

[GREENLEE AND LEO’S LOFT]
[Vanessa holds a gun on Greenlee]
Greenlee: You. No. No.
[Greenlee grabs her phone]
Vanessa: What? You really think I’d let you take my son away from me? No, put it down! You know I’ll use this. Put it down.
Greenlee: You can't do this.
Vanessa: Oh, but I am -- finally. It's been a long time coming, hasn't it? Drowning. Strangling. Knifing, stabbing. You have more lives than an alley cat. Ah! Don't move.
Greenlee: Leo won't let you get away with this. He's coming back any minute.
Vanessa: No, no, no, Darling, he's not.
Greenlee: Oh, my God!
Vanessa: Hmm?
Greenlee: What did you do to him?
Vanessa: I would never hurt Leo. You're the one I -- I need to get rid of, Dear.
Greenlee: But Leo loves me. I make him happy. If you kill me, he'll hate you.
Vanessa: Oh, well, I say "out of sight, out of mind," and he will forget you, Dear, and then he'll be free to live the life I’ve dreamed of for him.
Greenlee: As a two-bit grifter?
Vanessa: Oh! You see, that's one of your problems, Dear. You know, you think small, Greenlee, and you limit Leo. You know, the world is a bigger place than just the twitch of your hips, which he's forgotten. No. He'll finally be free to be the man that I groomed him to be.
Greenlee: You don't know anything about Leo.
Vanessa: What? He's -- he's just the light of my life and the only person in the world who's ever really understood me.
Greenlee: What about your other sons -- David and Trey? Why don't you let Leo go and glom onto them? I mean, their lives are already ruined.
Vanessa: Sure, sure, sure. David hates me, and Trey -- well, Trey -- Trey's a stranger. Now, Leo’s always been my joy, and no one is ever going to take him away from me.
Greenlee: No one took him away from you, Vanessa. He left because he saw what you really are.
Vanessa: Oh, no. No, no, don't say that.
Greenlee: Leo is too good to live in your evil shadow.
Vanessa: Oh! You see? You see, that is why I have to get rid of you, because, my Darling, you never know when to shut up!
Greenlee: I have an idea. Why don't we let Leo choose -- me or you? He's going to be back here any minute.
Vanessa: No, because my son will be -- we will be long gone before my son even gets here. Now, will you please just turn around!
Greenlee: I'm not going anywhere with you.
Vanessa: You don't seem to have much of a choice, do you, Dear?
Greenlee: If I don't?
Vanessa: No. Now, let's go. Move it!
[Greenlee gasps]
[Vanessa starts shoving Greenlee towards the door – with the gun in her back]

[Knock on door]
Bianca: Leo? Greenlee? Are you guys home? It's Bianca.
Vanessa: What is she doing here?
Greenlee: I didn't invite her.
[Knocking]
Bianca: Leo, I know it's late, but I got your message and I had to come.
Vanessa: You get rid of her.

Trey: I'm going on vacation at the end of the month, so I was just making some arrangements.
Kendall: Hmm. Going on one of those singles' cruises?
Trey: What do you care?
Kendall: I don't, just making conversation. It's kind of early to start packing, isn't it?
Trey: I'm just cleaning out some drawers, you know?
Kendall: Oh, yes, the lovely photo album. You wouldn't be running away from home, are you?
Trey: Just -- just leave my stuff alone, ok?
Kendall: You're nervous.
Trey: No, I'm not.
Kendall: Well, I mean, I can't say that I blame you, considering what happened.
Trey: If Leo turns me in for torching Erica’s house, I can deal with the consequences, even prison.
Kendall: Right. It's me you can't handle.
Trey: Because you play your music at mega decibels? I can deal.
Kendall: Hardly. Oh, come on, Trey, you are totally freaked out because, not so long ago, you totally hit on me.
Trey: No. No, I didn't.
Kendall: Yes, you did. We practically kissed and then some.
Trey: But -- but we didn't.
Kendall: That's because I stopped it. Oh, come on. Come on, Trey, fess up. You cannot handle the fact that you put the moves on your very own little sister.

Adam: You care to repeat that, son?
J.R.: Drop dead.
Liza: Adam, this is not the way. Stop it.
Adam: You're on probation for drug charges, J.R. and now you're truant. Doesn't -- don't you give a damn about anything?
J.R.: Why should I?
Adam: Because you're a Chandler, that's why.
J.R.: Oh, yeah, I'm sorry. I'm mucking up the great Chandler name.
Adam: Oh, you're doing this to get back at me? Is that it?
J.R.: Yeah, that's right, Dad, I’m always about you.
Adam: You -- you've had every advantage. Everything you've wanted is yours. And this is the way you repay me?
J.R.: Repay you? I never see you.
Adam: I am always available for you.
J.R.: Yeah, when you're not gas lighting your wife or dodging the D.A. I mean, hey, I don't embezzle money. I should get points for that, right, Dad?
Adam: You insolent --
Liza: All right, all right. J.R., could I speak to your father for a few minutes, please?
J.R.: A few minutes? Forever isn't long enough.

Adam: No, no, no. If this is about J.R. -- No. No, forget about it. I have to tolerate your input with Colby, of course, but I know how to handle my son.
Liza: Oh, yeah, you're doing a bang-up job.
Adam: So you have a solution for this?
Liza: No, I have an idea.
Adam: When did you become an expert on J.R.?
Liza: Hey, do you want to fight or do you want to help your son? Because if you want to know what's going on with J.R., Why don't you follow me.

Vanessa: You get rid of her, and you be quick about it.
Greenlee: Ok. Ok -- ok. Ok.

[Greenlee opens the front door a few inches]
Bianca: Greenlee.
Greenlee: What do you want, Bianca?
Bianca: Leo left me a message.
Greenlee: Leo? What did he say?
Bianca: He said that you guys were leaving for Paris tonight, and he wanted to say good-bye.
Greenlee: Well, we'll send you a post card. And you can get in touch with Leo by e-mail, so --
Bianca: Oh, you know, Greenlee, I -- I considered calling, but I really don't know when I’m going to see Leo again, so --
Greenlee: I'll tell him that you stopped by.
Bianca: I know you guys are busy. This is only going to take a second.
Greenlee: Um -- this is a really, really, really bad time, Bianca.
Bianca: Yeah. I'm sure packing for a lifetime is insane. Um, just one hug, that's it. I promise.
Greenlee: One hug.
Bianca: Are you ok? I mean, the trip is still on, right?
Greenlee: Yeah. Yeah, of course. It's just --
Bianca: What is it?
Greenlee: Leo's not home.
Bianca: Really?
Greenlee: Mm-hmm.
Bianca: I -- I heard you talking to somebody.
Greenlee: I was practicing my French.
Bianca: Well, if I could just leave him a note --
Greenlee: What don't you understand about "go away"? Hmm?
Bianca: Ok, Greenlee, I know that you and I aren't exactly friends, but Leo is like my big --
Greenlee: Could we just fast-forward to the good-bye part? I'll tell him you were here. Anything else?
Bianca: Well, I'll -- I'll wait. I'll help you pack. I'm an expert at folding --
Greenlee: You're an expert at getting Leo involved in every LesBianca crisis de jour.
Bianca: That is so not true.
Greenlee: Don't you get it? He feels sorry for you. That's the only reason he lets you hang around.
Bianca: You know what, Greenlee? Leo loves you. Why -- why isn't that enough? Why do you have to feel so threatened by everybody else he cares about?
Greenlee: One of the perks of Paris is that you won't be there. So, if there's nothing else, I'll let Leo know that you stopped by to whine.
Bianca: Just forget about it.

[Greenlee starts to struggle with Vanessa]
Greenlee: No.
Vanessa: You know, really, what is it about Leo that attracts the needy? Oh! I never understood where he gets that soft spot for, you know, such weaklings like --
[Greenlee screams]
Vanessa: Ho, ho, ho. Why, you --
Greenlee: Oh! Give me the gun. Let go! Oh! Oh!
[Gunshot]

[CHANDLER MANSION – THE ATTIC]
Adam: Liza, why in the world did you bring me up here to the attic?
Liza: Would you just please come over here.
Adam: It gives me a headache. It smells like mothballs in here. What the hell is this?
Liza: I came up to get Colby’s winter clothes, and I found this.
[Adam sees some of JR’s belongings – pictures of Dixie – a teddy bear, etc.]
Adam: J.R. Was afraid of the dark when he was little. Dixie promised him that this would protect him from the bogeyman.
Liza: Well, I guess he needs it again.
Adam: What does J.R. have to be afraid of?
Liza: Life without his mother.
Adam: He has me. No, no, no. I'm putting a stop to this.
Liza: No, you cannot.
Adam: What's he hiding? What is he hiding up here? What's wrong with his bedroom?
Liza: No, this is private. This is J.R. and his memories. Adam: It's a bus ticket, one-way, port authority, New York City. When were you going to tell me about this? After he'd run away? Liza: I didn't know about the ticket. Adam: How could you keep something like this from me? Liza: Listen, J.R. Has me filed under "Wicked Stepmother." I didn't think there was anything wrong with him having his own space.
Adam: So -- so he can build a shrine to his dead mother? That's the past, it's gone, it's dead! It's over.
Liza: Adam, he's lost.
Adam: Well, he sure as hell is going to find out where he is when I get through with him. I sacrifice my reputation for him. Those drug charges would've destroyed his future, and I did what I had to do, and I've lost too much to let J.R. just trash the future I planned for him.
Liza: J.R.'S future is his own.
Adam: Not as long as he's living in this house, it isn't.
Liza: That's the problem. You see, this house is the problem. We live in separate wings, Adam. We play this charade whenever Colby’s around. We don't give J.R. what he needs.
Adam: J.R. knows I love him.
Liza: No, he knows you want to control him.
Adam: I know what's best for him.
Liza: So, what are you going to do? Are you going to lay down the law and expect him to be obedient and grateful?
Adam: He needs to know who's in charge.
Liza: No, he needs to know you love him. If you hand that boy a hand of ultimatums, he's going to run. Do you want that?

[CHANDLER MANSION – THE DEN]
J.R.: Hey, Colby. What are you doing out of bed?
Colby: I had a bad dream. I can't find Mommy.
J.R.: Want to hang out with me for a little bit? Come here. Want me to read you a story? How about I take you in bed and read there?
Colby: Too scary.
J.R.: This house is scary, isn't it? What do you want to do, then?
Colby: Could I sit on your lap?
J.R.: Of course. Come here. How's that?
Colby: Good.

Trey: You're not even my type.
Kendall: All right, this was the night that you said you really wanted to – right?
Trey: Ok, ok! Yeah, please, stop! The whole "ick" factor is really creeping me out.
Kendall: Yeah, well, our D.N.A. is all about "ick," thanks to our sicko pops. You lied about him.
Trey: No. No, I didn't.
Kendall: Yeah, you did. That story you fed me about how Vanessa said he was a nice guy once, a tortured genius. That was totally bogus.
Trey: You were eavesdropping.
Kendall: And you fibbed. But you did it to make me feel better.
Trey: Lying is in our genes.
Kendall: But not kindness, and you were kind to me.
Trey: Well, you've got a dose of it, too. You could've sprung the D.A.'S trap on me, but you didn't.
Kendall: I couldn't.
Trey: Because I was your brother?
Kendall: Yeah. Maybe if I had a brother growing up, I wouldn't have messed up so much.
Trey: A whole crew of brothers couldn't keep you out of trouble.
Kendall: Uh -- maybe you're right. But at least I would've had someone to get through it with. Can I -- can I help you?
Trey: No. No, I'm -- I’m almost done.
Kendall: I'll miss you.
Trey: What?
Kendall: When you told Vanessa that you didn't know what it was like to miss somebody or to be missed, now when you're having fun in the sun, you'll know there's someone who's waiting for you to come home.
Trey: Don't waste your time missing me, Kendall.
Kendall: Tough. It's part of the package.
Trey: After everything I’ve pulled, you'd miss me?
Kendall: We're family. And for the first time in a very long time, I don't feel alone.
Trey: Because we're so much alike?
Kendall: Yeah. This feels good, doesn't it, to finally belong to something?
Trey: Sure.
Kendall: So, then, how about we give this a try?
Trey: What?
Kendall: You and me! Doing the brother-sister thing for keeps.
Trey: Uh -- yeah.

[THE BOAT HOUSE]
Bianca: Damn it! Aah! Damn it!
Maggie: Hey, why are you beating up on the boathouse?
Bianca: Is there any place else you could be right now?

[Leo runs into the loft]
Leo: Greenlee!
[Phone rings]
Leo: Hello?
Greenlee: Leo --
Leo: Greenlee. What -- what's going on? Where are you? Are you ok?
Greenlee: No. No, I'm not. I can't do this anymore, Leo! I need you!
Leo: Ok -- it'll be ok, Greenlee. Just tell me what happened, ok?
Greenlee: The worst thing's happened!

Maggie: I'm sorry. I just came here for a time-out. I guess you're doing the same.
Bianca: I'm sorry. Did something happen?
Maggie: Oh, really, nothing new. David punched out your Uncle Jack, so --
Bianca: What?
Maggie: It's all right. Everything's ok. It's really just another snapshot for the family album. Why are you here?
Bianca: It's not even worth going into.
Maggie: Well, maybe if you talk to me about it, this boathouse will be standing in the morning.
Bianca: Greenlee.
Maggie: Oh, enough said.
Bianca: Yeah. She and Leo are moving to Paris -- tonight.
Maggie: I know. It was kind of sudden, wasn't it?
Bianca: Yeah. And I went over there to say good-bye to him, and she wouldn't even let me in the door.
Maggie: Well, that's ridiculous. You have to say good-bye to him. Come on. I'll take you over there. I'll hold down the Greenster, and you can say good-bye to Leo.
Bianca: Thank you, anyway, but I think I'll pass.
Maggie: Why?
Bianca: Well, I guess I don't really want to say good-bye to Leo -- ever. I don't know. I could always tell him anything. And he could handle stuff that would scare most people. I mean, he was the first one that I told I was gay, besides Sarah, and he didn't get all weird about it, and he didn't try to change my mind. He just -- he was just Leo. And when Greenlee wouldn't let me see him tonight --
Maggie: Hey. Hey. I understand. If you were leaving, I would knock this place down.
Bianca: You would?
Maggie: Of course I would. But you're not, right? You're sticking around, and maybe I could try to be what Leo was to you. I mean, I know I can't replace him, but --
Bianca: No. No, you're not tall enough.
Maggie: Thanks. Rub it in. But you can count on me just like you've counted on him.
Bianca: Another friend is not what I need right now.

Liza: Why do you think that he created this sanctuary? I mean, come on, look at it. It's filled with things that he doesn't have in his life -- his mother, security, love, acceptance.
Adam: You talk -- you talk like I deny him things.
Liza: No. But do you know his music? His friends? The people he hangs out with?
Adam: I am trying to save a multinational corporation. I'm trying to salvage your reputation. I'm trying to maintain a civil household and hold this family together.
Liza: In other words, you don't know anything about him. Stuart was right -- that maybe we can't be fixed, but, Adam, we don't need to ruin them if we've ruined each other.
Adam: I need to talk to J.R. Liza: Wait. Don't -- don't take the bus ticket with you.
Adam: I want him to know that I know --
Liza: What? That you're great and you're powerful? Just be his dad. Don't let him know that we found this.
Adam: And let him hole up here, feeling sorry for himself? No. No, I don't think so.
Liza: He needs this. And if you truly want to reach out and help him, then let the first step be respecting his privacy.
Adam: I love my son, Liza. I love my son.
Liza: I know you do.

Kendall: Well, I don't want to wear matching t-shirts or anything, or hang out with you 24/7. It would just be nice to have someone on my side for a change. I mean, having someone believing you can change how you face the world.
Trey: And you really think that I can do that for you?
Kendall: Well, maybe we can do it for each other.
Trey: Well, what if I let you down?
Kendall: Like you haven't done that a million times already? I'm willing to take a chance if you are, Trey.
Trey: And this means that much to you?
Kendall: Well, yeah. We've scored zilch on our parents. Our growing up reeked. We're not exactly going to win a personality popularity contest, for that matter.
Trey: But we still have each other.
Kendall: Right. I mean, having you as a brother isn't exactly going to make me a better person, but at least you'll understand why --
Trey: Why you do the things you do.
Kendall: Yeah.
Trey: Well, we've got the same hard-wiring, so it's not that difficult to figure out.
Kendall: Maybe that's why I trust you.
Trey: Well, if you trust me, then why are you hanging this confession over my head?
Kendall: There is nothing wrong with having backup.
Trey: Huh. Well, I would have done the same thing.
Kendall: You see? You get me. You're straight with me, and that is the most that I've gotten from anyone in a long time. So, what do you say?
Trey: I'm glad that we're family.
Kendall: So do I have a brother I can count on?
Trey: Sure.
Kendall: And you can count on me. I swear you can. This is great. This is going to be really, really great. I swear.
Kendall: Well, I'll -- I'll let you finish. I'm kind of tired, anyway. You look tense, too. It's a good thing you're going on vacation. You need it.

[Kendall leaves the room – Trey starts writing a letter]
Trey: I can't do this.
Trey's voice: Dear Kendall, I'll always be your brother, but I've got to make a fresh start. I hope that someday you understand why I have to leave."

Greenlee: Your mother got inside, Leo. I tried to keep her out, but I couldn't. She had a gun. It went off.
Leo: Here? Oh, my God. Where?
Greenlee: It was horrible.
Leo: Are you all right? Are you all right? Where are you? Can I come and get you?
Greenlee: Leo, I don't --
[Vanessa grabs the phone away from Greenlee]
Vanessa: Leo? Leo, Darling.
Leo: What did you -- how did you get out? What the hell did you do this time?
Vanessa: Look, Leo, I know this is hard for you.
Leo: No, where -- what did you do to Greenlee?
Vanessa: Darling, it's for your own good.
Leo: Greenlee is for my own good. If you touch her, I swear to God, I will kill you. Do you hear me?
Vanessa: All right, Leo, don't threaten me, not now, not now, not after --
Leo: She's my wife. She is my wife! I love her. Why can't you get that through your head?
Vanessa: But she's such a stupid girl. You know, she almost just got herself killed.
Leo: If you touch her --
Vanessa: And, Leo, it wasn't my fault. She underestimated me, which has always been her big mistake, hasn't it?
Leo: Please, just let her go.
Vanessa: Darling, I can't do that, not when she's about to ruin all of our plans.
Leo: What plans? We don't have any plans.
Vanessa: See? Do you see? She has turned you completely against me, and that won't work, Leo. Now, soon we'll both be rid of her.
Greenlee: Leo! Leo!
Leo: Greenlee. Greenlee --
Vanessa: Look, Leo, you have got to forget her. I promise you, you will forget her, Darling. Besides, this is about us. Look, Leo, this is the last hit, the last score. I mean, all of our future is going to be realized after so much interference.
Leo: You are freaking insane. Let her go, please.
Vanessa: No, Darling. I have never been clearer in my life about exactly what has to be done. But, Leo, I need your help.
Leo: No, I'm calling the cops. Forget it.
Vanessa: Leo, if you call the police or David or anyone else, Greenlee will die.
Leo: Ok, what do you want me to do?
Vanessa: That's better. I want you to get in your car, and I want you to drive.

J.R.: Bad dream.
Liza: Thanks, J.R. I'll take her to bed. Come on, pumpkin. Yeah.

Adam: You're going to bed, too. Tomorrow morning, you're going to get up, and you're going to go to school, and you're going to all your teachers and get your back assignments, and you're going to come home and work very hard and catch up till you're at the top of your class. Are we clear?
J.R.: Do I have a choice?
Adam: If I have to drive you to school and pick you up myself, you're going.
J.R.: Whatever.
Adam: And another thing -- I want to apologize.
J.R.: For what?
Adam: Well, I haven't been there much for you -- at all for you. I've had a lot of problems with my business and a lot of -- no, that's no excuse. After your mother died, I swore -- promised myself that I would be a better father to you, and I failed. I'm sorry.
J.R.: You can't bring mom back, so what's the difference?
Adam: But I'd like to think I could have made a difference. I want to think I still can. Will you forgive me?
J.R.: I'm not sure if I can.

Maggie: You have so many friends you don't need any more?
Bianca: No, that's not what I meant. I -- I just never felt like I had to hold back with Leo.
Maggie: So don't hold back with me.
Bianca: Oh, yeah, right.
Maggie: What's that supposed to mean?
Bianca: Nothing. Nothing. It's just -- I don't know. When things got rough, Leo would let me cry and scream and carry on, and then he would just tell me that everything would be ok, and I believed him.
Maggie: Are you talking about when my sister died?
Bianca: When I lost Frankie, I got through it because of Leo. Now --
Maggie: Now you're losing Leo. Hey, Bianca, believe me, I do not scare easy. If you want a friend, you have one right here.
Bianca: It's just I always felt safe with Leo, like there was no risk that he would ever leave, and that's just what I thought.
Maggie: I'm not going anywhere.
Bianca: Oh, no? Every five minutes, you're packing your bag and threatening to blow off Pine Valley for good.
Maggie: And you always talk me into staying.
Bianca: And what if I told you how I really feel, huh? What if I told you what you really meant to me? What then? God, this is impossible. Why do I always do this? Wrong feelings, wrong people, bad timing. I just -
- Maggie: Bianca, wait.

[Knock on door]
Trey: Hey, Leo. What's up?
Leo: Everything. I need your help.

J.R.: You want me to trust you, but it's like, I don't know, you just --
Adam: What? What?
J.R.: You think you have all the answers, dad, but you don’t. Ok, you couldn't make it work with my mom, and you and Liza -- all you do is fight, except when Colby’s around, and then you're all fake with each other.
Adam: I've been trying to make the best of a very bad situation here. You can understand that, can't you?
J.R.: But it's like you want to make us be and do whatever you want, and if we don't go along with it, then -- maybe you can't just love us.
Adam: No.
J.R.: I don't know.
Adam: I do love you. I do. I just want what's best for you and Colby.
J.R.: Yeah, that's why you take her away for two months? It made Liza crazy. And now the poor girl, she can't even sleep at night. She has nightmares all the time.
Adam: Oh, no, no, she doesn’t.
J.R.: Yes, she does, Dad. You're just never around to see it.

[Liza walks in]
Adam: Liza?
Liza: J.R., It's sort of late. Maybe you should turn in.
J.R.: Sure.
Adam: One more thing. Tomorrow morning, my driver will take you -- no, no, no, I tomorrow morning will take you to school. At dinner, I’d like a full report. Are we understood?
J.R.: Yes, sir.

Adam: I'm going to make that boy succeed if it kills him.
Liza: Maybe you should just love him.
Adam: That's what I'm doing, Liza.
Liza: Your approach is a little overwhelming.
Adam: That's the only way I know how to love.
Liza: I know.
Adam: I'm doing the best I can.
Liza: Maybe you would let me help you do it differently.
Adam: Maybe. Good night.

Maggie: I know that I will never be the kind of friend that Leo was to you, but I'd like to try.
Bianca: You know what? I can't just do this right now, ok?
Maggie: You're the one who's always saying, you know, friends should talk things through, let everything out in the open.
Bianca: Ok, but just not now, all right?
Maggie: Well, what about all those pep talks you gave to me about being best friends and best buddies? What was it? Were you trying to make me feel better?
Bianca: Look, you know what? You want a tip -- sometimes being a friend means knowing when to back off.
Maggie: Fine. Fine. Well, then I’m gone.

Trey: What's going on? What's happening?
Leo: Vanessa has Greenlee.
Trey: Well -- Vanessa’s under guard.
Leo: No, she's not. Not anymore -- she got out. I don't know how.
Trey: How did she get to Greenlee?
Leo: I got a phone call, and I don't know how this happened, but somebody -- Vanessa called me and told me that David was arrested, so I went down to the police station to check on him, and he wasn't there, so I flew back to the loft, and it was too late. The place was a mess.
Trey: Ok, well, how can you be sure Vanessa’s got her?
Leo: I talked to Greenlee, ok? And Vanessa has a gun, and -- and she gave me directions how to go find them.
Trey: Ok, you can't drive now.
Leo: I have to go. Can you help me?
Trey: Yes, anything.
Leo: Ok. I need you to go with me, all right? Vanessa's completely over the edge, and I don't know what she's going to do.
Trey: Done. Done.
Leo: Ok, but you need to -- you need to stay hidden on the bottom of the floor of the car because she told me if I brought anybody with me, she was going to kill Greenlee, so --
Trey: Come on!

Vanessa: Well, it's a beautiful night. Smell that air, huh? Go ahead, Greenlee. Take a lot of deep breaths. It won't be long now.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: You can protest all you want, but you came up here because you wanted to see me.

Erica: Chris, if you don't leave right now, we have no future.

Trey: I'm sorry, Leo, but from here on out, you're on your own.

Vanessa: Farewell, my lovely.
