ALL MY CHILDREN

OCTOBER 4, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Trey: Who can Kendall and I see about getting a DNA test?

Vanessa: I can't tell you any more. Go away.
Erica: Not until we have this out.
Vanessa: Erica. You know, don't you?

TODAY’S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[PV HOSPITAL] Kendall: Lookay at this bruise. I should sue that nurse.
Trey: Yeah. Too bad we can't sue if we don't like the results of the test.
Kendall: Why? Because I might be your sister?
Trey: No. Because my father might be some perv that attacked young women.
Kendall: Well, until we know what the test results say, let's just keep this quiet.
Trey: Who would I tell?
Kendall: I don't know. One of your fruit loop family members, for starters.
Trey: They're not that bad.
Kendall: Okay, if you believe that, then I think you seriously need to have your head examined -- again.
Trey: Don't --
Bianca: What are you doing with this lying, two-faced, backstabbing phony?

[VANESSA’S HOTEL ROOM]

Vanessa: I want you to tell me what you know.
Erica: You are in no position to give me any ultimatums, Vanessa. You are the one who has been keeping secrets.
Vanessa: Oh, I knew this day would come. It had to happen.
Erica: So, then, you admit it?
Vanessa: Well, if I denied it, would you believe me?
Erica: Just give me the truth.
Vanessa: Oh, Erica, leave it alone. I mean, really, some things are best left in the past.
Erica: Not this. What happened to me then -- that is with me. That is with me always.
Vanessa: Then how could anything I say possibly change anything?
Erica: Just tell me. Tell me the truth, Vanessa. Is -- is the man who raped me -- is he Trey's father?

[LEO AND GREENLEE’S LOFT]
Leo: David, hauling around incriminating evidence when every cop in town is gunning for you isn't exactly smart.
David: I know, I know, I just --
Leo: What are you lookaying for?
David: Oh, God -- Leo, lookay, you really saved my backside by grabbing the stuff out of Anna’s office, but the vial -- the vial is gone, okay, and it -- it's not here.
Leo: What vial are you talking about?
David: The one with the serum that I’ve been developing.
Leo: What? You sure that it wasn't with the rest of this stuff?
David: Positive, positive. It was there. Anna had everything over at Liza’s, and now it's gone.
Leo: I just grabbed the evidence bag. If it's not here, it's got to be at the police station.
David: Oh, man. If they've sent it for analysis, I'm through. I'm dead.
Leo: Not if I get in there before they even know what's --
David: No, no! No, you can’t. Leo, you've already put yourself on the line for me once. I cannot let you do it again.

[ANNA’S OFFICE – PV POLICE DEPARTMENT]
Jack: How, Sergeant? How could you lose the evidence against David Hayward? I had this office sealed last night. Sealed! Now, you tell me, did anybody come in this room? Anybody at all?
Sergeant: The chief's brother-in-law came by.
Jack: Leo du Pres? And what the hell did he want, Sergeant?
Sergeant: A receipt you promised him for the Proteus material.
Jack: I never promised him a receipt -- was he left alone in here?
Sergeant: For a minute. He had a migraine. I let him lie down in here.
Jack: A migraine. Oh, brother. Then what happened?
Sergeant: Then he left. He even forgot the receipt you --
Jack: I never promised him a receipt. He didn't come here for a receipt. He came here for that evidence, sergeant.
Sergeant: Do you want me to put out an APB?
Jack: No. No, no, no, no. I don't want you to do anything else. I'll take care of this. I'll find him myself.

Anna: Oh, thank you.
Jack: Hey -- hi.
Jack: Hey, aren't you supposed to be home?
Anna: Hello. Yeah. Where's that evidence bag? I want to send the vial to forensics for testing.
Jack: You're supposed to be home resting, right?
Anna: Yeah. I'll rest when David’s in jail.

Leo: What's the fuss? I'm in, I'm out. The vial's in your hands before they even know it's gone.
David: Forget it, Leo. You've risked enough for me. I told Greenlee to get you out of Pine Valley. You should be halfway on the way to Paris by now.
Leo: You're the reason she was so hell-bent on going to Paris?
David: Yes, I am. So what's going on with that?
Leo: Well, she's gone. She's in Paris right now looking for an apartment while I wrap things up here.
David: Meaning me. I never should have got you involved in this.
Leo: I volunteered for this, David.
David: No, this is my mess. I'll take care of it.
Leo: How? What, do you have an invisibility cloak? You can't just waltz into a nest of cops and grab the evidence that's going to put you away for life, David. Come on.
David: That's my problem, Leo, not yours, okay? So go pack.
Leo: No, not until I know you're out of trouble. Forget it.
David: Leo, I’ve been in trouble my entire life. That's never going to change, okay? Look, just promise me -- promise me that you'll get the hell out of this town and away from me and you'll start building your future with Greenlee.
Leo: You're my future, too. Okay? And I'm not going to stop helping you until I know you're out of this.
David: No. No. Listen to me. I had my chance, okay? And I've lost the only life that I ever dreamed of with Anna. Don't lose yours, Leo.
Leo: I won’t. I promise.
David: Thanks, man.
Leo: Don't be stupid.
David: Too late for that.

Jack: Sergeant, have a squad car brought around. The chief is going home.
Anna: No, the chief isn't going home. Thank you. She will call you when she's ready to go home. Thank you.
Jack: Anna, you look a little pale. I mean, aren't you taking an unnecessary risk here? Why don't you just let me handle this, huh?
Anna: Well, no, I have to do this. If we lose this case because of a technicality as trivial as a break in the chain of custody, I would never forgive myself.
Jack: What, you don't trust me to get this done and done right?
Anna: No, it's not that. David was freaked when he saw that I had his micro cassettes and drug vials, so I know we have him, Jackson. I have to see to it that he goes down for what he did.
Jack: Even if it jeopardizes the health of your baby?
Anna: This is for the baby. This could be the only chance that we have to be free of him. I really can't blow this.
Jack: Well, then, you'll be happy to hear that I sent that evidence to forensics first thing this morning.
Anna: You did?
Jack: Yes.

Anna: Why didn't you tell me Jack: Well, I didn't have a chance. They're working on it right now. So, I tell you what -- why don't you go home and I'll call when they have anything, okay?
Anna: I wonder if they have any progress. Maybe I can call --
Jack: Well, you know, these things take a while, Anna, right?
Anna: Yeah. I should go home. I do feel a little wobbly. But I will just check in with forensics to see if they've made any progress.

Bianca: What is going on here?
Kendall: Nothing --
Bianca: After what Trey did, I cannot believe that you would stand here and talk to him --
Kendall: Okay, okay, okay, you know what? So he pretended to be someone else. So what?
Bianca: "So what?" Are you serious? Oh, what am I saying? Of course, of course, you're going to get behind him --
Kendall: That's enough, that's enough. Excuse us, excuse us. Be right back. What are you doing? You nearly blew it.
Bianca: Me? I'm not the one making nice with the guy that you said torched mom's house.
Kendall: Listen, I got to prove Trey set that fire, and the only way that I can do it is if he trusts me.
Bianca: Kendall, why are you still in the middle of this, anyway? Did you talk to Uncle Jack?
Kendall: Yes, I did, and lot of good that did. He showed up. Trey showed up, and I had to scramble like crazy.
Bianca: Does he think that you were turning him in?
Kendall: I don't know.
Bianca: Well, what did Uncle Jack say? Is he going to investigate him?
Kendall: I -- I guess. While they're busy eating doughnuts, I’ll be the one to get the evidence against Trey.
Bianca: Ugh. Now you're going to play detective. Kendall, I would tell you that's a bad idea, but that's the only kind you ever have.
Kendall: I'm trying to help!
Bianca: If you want to help, stay out of it!

Trey: Hey, hey, hey. Is she giving you a hard time here, Kendall?
Kendall: Yeah, like mother, like daughter.
Trey: Look, why don't you just back off, huh?
Bianca: Listen, Trey -- or Ben, or Shepp, or whatever your name is today -- I don't need advice from a skank like you. Thank you very much.
Maggie: Excuse me. Where the hell do you get off dissing my cousin when your mother nearly killed him?

Vanessa: And who -- who told you I knew Richard Fields?
Erica: Trey came to see me. His voice sounds exactly like his father's.
Vanessa: Oh, well, good heavens. That's it? That's your proof?
Erica: Look, did you know Richard Fields or not?
Vanessa: What could that possibly matter to you?
Erica: It matters, Vanessa. And it's just not right for you to keep silent. Not anymore. I need to know. I need to know the truth. Vanessa, please, is that -- was that reptile Trey's father?
Vanessa: Yes, it's true! It's true, it's true! Trey's father was Richard Fields.
Erica: Oh, my God. Then he raped you, too?

Bianca: My mother did that?
Maggie: Damn straight.
Bianca: What did you do to her?
Trey: Nothing.
Bianca: Nothing? Nothing? You expect me to believe that my mother did that to you with absolutely no reason whatsoever?
Kendall: Yeah, it's shocking, isn't it?
Bianca: I don't believe it. Where were you? What happened? What did you do to her?
Trey: I didn't do anything to her. In fact, she's the one --
Kendall: Okay, you know what? You know what? The doctors gave Trey strict orders to just take it easy, so if you guys will excuse us.

Bianca: Man, I wonder what happened.
Maggie: I have to get over to pediatrics, all right?
Bianca: Whoa, whoa, hang on.
Maggie: What? What, are you going to sit here and diss my cousin some more?
Bianca: Maggie, Trey is bad news.
Maggie: And what did he ever do to you?
Bianca: Just forget .
Maggie: All right, thank you.
Bianca: No, no -- hang on. I -- what's going on with you? I mean, I haven't seen you in school and you haven't returned my calls or anything.
Maggie: I'm on overload right now.
Bianca: So you just skip class?
Maggie: Yeah, I do sometimes. So?
Bianca: So -- whatever's messing you up just, you know, don't let it affect you like that.
Maggie: I just missed a couple of classes. Jeez, you know, my life does not revolve around being on the dean's list, Bianca.
Bianca: Oh, well, would you rather tank and drop out again?
Maggie: Will you just back the hell off, all right?

Erica: You and Richard Fields. Did he charm you, too? Did he try to make you feel special and then --
Vanessa: Oh, Erica, don't do this.
Erica: When he locked the door, I ran so fast. I tried so hard to get away, and I screamed and I screamed, but --
Vanessa: No, no, Erica, you don't have to relive this. Don't do this.
Erica: Well, no, it's just that no one understands better than I do, I can tell you that. I mean, what that man did to you -- it -- I mean, it's no wonder you've lived the life you have.
Vanessa: What -- what do you mean?
Erica: Well, all that rage and all that grief that you held in all that time. I can understand why you had such a difficult time.
Vanessa: Look, Erica, Erica, please, don't -- don't dredge up all this misery. I mean, haven't you suffered enough?
Erica: Well, I think we both have, haven't we? All this time, I thought you hated me. But it wasn't that at all, was it? I mean, you knew that Richard Fields had raped me, and you looked at me, and I guess I was your worst nightmare.
Vanessa: I'd really rather forget that, okay?
Erica: Well, we can't forget, can we? Not either one of us. I know that I will never, never foet that night.
Vanessa: That night?
Erica: What he did to us was just evil. And it scarred us and it will scar us always. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Vanessa: Oh, for God's sakes, Erica, will you stop that? I don't need your pity! Just stop it, will you? I mean, really, how stupid can you be?

Jack: Anna, put down the phone, okay? Just put it down. I'm reassigning this case.
Anna: You're joking.
Jack: No, I'm not. Listen, last time we had charges on David, you were less than objective. And let's face it -- marrying him so you didn't have to testify against him didn't exactly improve our public perception.
Anna: Where is this coming from? We're both after the same thing.
Jack: That's right. That's right. I'm just doing what's best for the case here, okay?
Anna: You're a terrible liar. What is this about, really?
Jack: I'm just worried about you. I'm just worried, you know? I'm worried about you and the baby because this case is way too personal for you. It's just got you strung too tight. It's not healthy.
Anna: It's not your place to worry about me.
Jack: Well, it's an ugly job, but, you know, somebody's got to do it. Will you please go now?
Anna: Yeah.
Jack: Okay.
Anna: I'll just check in with the lab --
Jack: You don't have to do that. Listen, listen, I will let you know the minute they let me know anything, okay? I promise.
Anna: Can I look at my mail?
Jack: Absolutely -- as long as you promise to take it home and read it in bed.
Anna: If you promise to tell me when you hear anything.
Jack: The very minute, then. As a matter of fact, I’m going to go set a fire under these guys right now, okay?
Anna: Thank you.
Jack: Okay, get out of here.

David: I thought Dudley Do-Right would never leave.

Bianca: What are you so bent about?
Maggie: Trey's my family, and I do not appreciate you ragging on him.
Bianca: Trey could be a criminal, and you're just going to stand up for him, no questions asked?
Maggie: Well, isn't that what families do? Defend each other, no matter what?
Bianca: No. You don't go against what you believe in for somebody you barely know just because they claim to be a relative.
Maggie: Bianca, don't you see? For the first time, I have a family. A real family. And, you know, they may not measure up to your standards, but they care about me. Is that -- is it so wrong to believe in them?

[TREY’S LOFT]
Kendall: Hmm.
Trey: It's time for my painkillers. Will you grab me a glass of water? Ahem. Kendall: Are your feet broken, too?
Trey: Please? My head's killing me.
[Kendall sighs]
Kendall: All right.
Trey: Would you put that pillow behind my neck? Ah! Ah, take it -- easy.
Kendall: Do I look like Florence Nightingale to you?
Trey: How the hell did you ever land that job babysitting that Cortlandt kid with an attitude like that?
Kendall: Excuse me. I'm a cosmetics executive.
Trey: You're a gofer.
Kendall: I'd be a vice president if Greenlee would get her butt to Paris.
Trey: Well, that's not going to happen until Leo’s certain that David’s out of trouble.
Kendall: You know, you're in this mix, too. Leo is so busy worrying about his brothers, he's screwing up my plans.
Trey: Yeah, he's something, isn't he?
Kendall: Yeah, I'd like him a lot better if he lived in Paris.
Trey: Hmm. You know, I'm scraping the bottom of the gene pool with mom and dad, but this brother thing's all right.
Kendall: Even David?
Trey: Well, he's giving me a chance. That's more than most people would do.
Kendall: Yeah, well, my half sister can't stand me and my mom's still trying to convince herself that I don't even exist.
Trey: Yeah, but your family in Florida, the one that adopted you -- they love you, right?
Kendall: Yeah. Too much. We covered that.
Trey: So why choose Erica's total rejection over their unconditional love?
Kendall: Because love's not enough. I needed to know the truth. I never fit in with that family. And when I found out that Erica was my mother, everything just kind of fell into place.
Trey: Yeah, except for one small detail -- Erica doesn't want you in her life.
Kendall: But we're blood, and that should count for something.
Trey: Yeah, well, there's no doubt you're her daughter.
Kendall: Why? You think I'm like her?
Trey: No, you both have wicked forehands.
Kendall: I thought you were a burglar when I whacked you.
Trey: And she thought I was Richard Fields. It's not very flattering, Kendall.
Kendall: Well, don't expect Erica to get over it. You know, finding out Erica was my mother completely changed my life. But I wish more than anything that I never found out who my father was.
Trey: You mean who our father is.
Vanessa: Oh, please, I don't need your pity.
Erica: But I know what --

Vanessa: Oh, you know nothing. You see, Richard Fields didn't rape me. I was not his victim. I was in love with him!
Erica: What?
Vanessa: Oh, he was a movie star. I thought Richard loved me more than any other woman in the whole wide world! But, really, all he wanted was you.
Erica: Me? Are you saying that you knew me then?
Vanessa: Oh, no, of course not. I mean, how could I? No. I meant that I discovered what he really desired more than anything else in the world was simply just pretty, young, young girls.
Erica: Well, if you knew what he was and that he --
Vanessa: Well, I didn't discover any of his proclivities at that time until it was just too late.
Erica: Kendall and Trey are about the same age. Oh, my God. You were pregnant with Trey when he raped me.

[Knock on door]
Leo: Coming. Jackson. What, are you here to thank me again for turning over the Proteus stash? What?
Jack: I know what you did, Leo.
Leo: Yeah, I -- I uncovered the Proteus investigation. Come on, man, let me be hero for the day.
Jack: So, tell me something -- you get over that migraine you came down with at the police station?
Leo: Yeah, that -- that just sort of hit me out of the blue --
Jack: Don't, don't, don’t. Don’t. I know you conned your way into Anna’s office, and I know you stole the evidence we had against David.
Leo: Why would anybody be so stupid as to try to steal evidence from underneath the cops? Come on, that's just --
Jack: Why, indeed.
Leo: If I hear anything, I'll let you know.
Jack: What the hell's wrong with you? Huh? You're finally in the clear. You can walk away from this. Instead, you throw yourself right back in the muck with David? Why would you do something so stupid, Leo?

David: Your color's good. You look a little tired, but rest should take care of that.
Anna: Why is everybody so bloody concerned with my color? What are you doing here?
David: You can't expect me to stay away, Anna. Jake and Jackson wouldn't even let me near you at the hospital.
Anna: Because I didn't want to see you. Nothing's changed.
David: Don't shut me out, Anna.
[Anna sighs]
David: If you would just trust your feelings, you and I could be happy again.
Anna: Oh, it is that simple? I'm just going to forget about all the people that you've hurt?
David: We're not talking about other people right now. We're talking about us. And you know that we belong together. The more you fight it, the more you fight me, the greater the risk to our child.
Anna: Don't you turn this back on me.
David: Anna, your collapse was a message, okay? It was a sign. Your body, your heart, and your soul are telling you that we belong together and to give me another chance.
Anna: It's too late. Your bag of tricks has already been sent to forensics. A prison term shouldn't be long behind that.
David: What?
Anna: Yeah. Forensics is probably listening to your micro cassettes right now, trying to figure out what it was that you were so desperate to hide.
David: They're listening to the tapes?
Anna: Jackson had everything sent to the lab this morning.
David: Is that what he said?
Anna: Yeah. That's what he said.
David: Did he?
Anna: I must say, it is a relief to finally have someone I can depend on.
David: Oh, yeah. Heaven knows the noble Jackson Montgomery would never let you down.

Bianca: Could you just sit down for a second? What has got you so worked up?
Maggie: David and Leo have made a real effort to make me part of this family. I just want to return the favor.
Bianca: So this is about David?
Maggie: You don't understand. We've really come together to help him.
Bianca: After what he did to Maria Grey and Edmund and their children, I don't see why you would want to help him.
Maggie: Because he's my cousin.
Bianca: Well, that might not be good enough.
Maggie: Not -- God, not everyone gets to experience the picture-perfect family. I never had the celebrity mom and the unlimited clothes allowance, and my uncle's not a D.A. who can ease me out of drunk driving charges.
Bianca: Maggie, I'm not slamming your family --
Maggie: Yes, you are. They're my family. I don't care what they've done. I finally feel like I'm a part of something, and I am not going to bow out just because they do not meet someone else's idea of perfection.
Bianca: Maggie, don't you think that David has gone too far?
Maggie: I know that he has messed up a lot, Bianca. I know that. But Leo is not backing down, and neither am I, and we are going to stick through this together.
Bianca: Maggie, sometimes you got to know when to let go.
Maggie: Fine. So then why don't you take you and your superior attitude and get it out of my face.
Bianca: Hang on. Where do you think you're going?

Kendall: Richard Fields may not even be your birth father, so don't go feeling all sorry for yourself until the DNA results are in.
Trey: I can't help thinking about it. I mean, if it's true, I'm a two-time loser. Mom's a psycho, dad's a pervert.
Kendall: Well, at least Vanessa’s happy that you turned up. Better than what I got.
Trey: That all depends on who she is when she wakes up today. We grew up fantasizing that our mothers would rescue us. Only the reality is they dumped us and that all they want if for us to stay gone.
Kendall: Yeah, well, my mother hated me so much, she didn't even remember being pregnant with me.
Trey: They went off and made families of their own, had children that they adored. We grew up loving people who wish that we didn't even exist. Did you really think that Erica would sweep you into her arms when she opened the door?
Kendall: Well, I knew I belonged to her.
Trey: Is that why you're still here in Pine Valley? Because you need to prove that you're worthy of being the great Erica Kane’s daughter?
Kendall: Why are you here? I mean, the millions of dollars you wanted to lift from Vanessa is completely worthless. Your payback went bust. So why are you staying?
Trey: Because the cops won't let me leave town, remember?
Kendall: No, that wouldn't keep you here. Come on, Trey, give it up. Why are you sticking around?
Trey: Because I want to find out who I am and if my DNA matches yours.
Kendall: Well, I guess we're both a couple of saps, huh?
Trey: It must be in the genes.

Vanessa: Oh, Erica. Do you know what Richard Fields did to you was unspeakable. But, you see, it was not like that for me. I mean, Trey -- Trey wasn't the product of a rape. No -- he was our love child.
Erica: How could you say that?
Vanessa: Oh, when I found out I was pregnant with him, I was out of this world. I wanted to share it. I wanted to make the news. I wanted to celebrate it in a grand fashion. But before I could tell Richard --
Erica: You found out what he did?
Vanessa: I fell in love with the man in the movies, on the screen. You know, I had no idea of his perverse sense of -- I thought he loved me more than anything in the world. I thought he had found me the one wonderful, wonderful, brilliant, witty, sophisticated woman. But, no, you know what? All he really wanted was innocence and ruffles and one pretty, little, dark-haired girl in a party dress. He was a monster, you know. He was a monster. He infected every single thing he touched. Now please, just leave me alone.
Erica: Yes, of course I will.
Vanessa: Please, just go. Just go.
Erica: I just needed to know.

Leo: Jackson, headquarters is crawling with cops and robbers. Anybody could have stolen that evidence.
Jack: Yeah, but you were the one who faked a fainting spell to get into Anna’s office. And when you left, that evidence was gone, Leo.
Leo: Gone, huh?
Jack: Gone.
Leo: Well, I guess when it gets out that the authorities lost evidence in a major case on their own turf, you're -- I'd hate to be you.
Jack: Yeah, but right now I'd be worried about being you. Leo, think for a second. I mean, you've got this great life you're about to start with Greenlee. For God's sake, don't throw it away for David!
Leo: It's not going to happen. I'll send you a post card when I get there.
Jack: You remember when you broke into my office, you stole those files? You were this far away from being indicted. Now luckily, then you had Anna to step in front of the bullet for you. But let me tell you something, son. She will not be there for you now.
Leo: Jackson, come on. I'm about to live an amazing life with the most amazing woman in the galaxy! I'm not going to mess that up!
Jack: Good. Please, don't mess it up. Don’t. Leo, I told you before, I think you're one of the good guys, okay? And I know some how in your mind you think you're doing the right thing, that you're being helpful here, but you're not. You're not helping yourself and you're not helping David, not by stealing for him!
Leo: David is my brother.
Jack: Please, don't let the blood you two share blind you from seeing -- from seeing him for what he is -- and for what Trey is, for that matter.
Leo: They're my family, Jackson.
Jack: They are trouble, Leo. They're trouble and heartache to everybody whose lives they touch. David, he destroys lives Trey, he steals somebody's life and he probably burned down Erica Kane’s house!
Leo: You don't have any proof of that --
Jack: And my point is you've got to know your brothers for what they are and protect yourself. Because if you don't, they're going to take you right down with them.
Leo: Thank you for the advice, but I'll make my own decisions.
Jack: Let me tell you something else before you make this decision. I find out that you were in any way, shape, or form involved in this evidence going missing, I'm going to fall on you like a ton of bricks. You follow me, son?
Leo: Okay, fine. Do you want the truth.
Jack: Yeah, do yourself a favor.
Leo: I don't -- I don't know where that evidence is. Jack: All right, here's a real, actual truth. You've got a choice. You can choose your brothers or you can choose Greenlee. Now, you think about that. You think about how much Greenlee means to you here. And then you choose wisely. Because you're only going to get to choose once.

[Leo remembers]
Leo's voice: Nobody's going to take us down. Nobody's going to bring us down, Greenlee.
Greenlee: No kidding. We have to keep us us.
Leo: Us. For us, I would fight to the death.
Greenlee: Me, too. And gladly.
Leo: There's nothing -- nothing that will take me away from you, Greenlee. Every day and every night for the rest of our lives.
Greenlee: There is no life without you, Leo.
Leo: I choose Greenlee.

Anna: Jackson is a man of his word, unlike some people.
David: Ow.
Anna: We have the evidence to put you away now, David. In your own words, in your own voice. You can't stop the process.
David: Well, then, I guess it's just a matter of time, huh?
Anna: Aren't you worried?
David: That whatever Jackson gave them will incriminate me? Hardly.
Anna: What? You wanted that material from me so badly, I had to pull a gun on you to stop you.
David: You're right. I overreacted.
Anna: David, when the lab compares the drug in that vial to Maria’s blood work, it is going to be serious for you.
David: And what do half-wit test tube watchers know about cutting-edge medical research?
Anna: Jackson's certain they're going to find something. And you know what? It's his case now, so take it up with him.
David: What? Wait, wait, wait, what? What? What, he holds your hand at the hospital, he guards you like a pit bull, and now he's taken over your job for you? What the hell does this guy want?
Anna: Not everyone who offers a kindness has an angle. I know that is a foreign concept for you. But Jackson is a decent man and he doesn't abuse his power.
David: You know, not so long ago you two were at each other's throats. So, what changed? What's going on?
Anna: We have a common goal. David, get out.
David: Anna --
Anna: I don't want to do this anymore, David. Please go.
David: I can't -- I can't let us end like this, all right? Please, Anna, I'm begging you, don't do this.

Maggie: What? You're going to give me another lecture -- "the world according to Bianca"?
Bianca: No, I want to apologize.
Maggie: Why? I did all the yelling.
Bianca: Because I was a jerk. I know -- I know what Leo and all your family means to you. I shouldn't have gone off on them like that.
Maggie: Well, you still think they're a bunch of losers.
Bianca: No, they can't be total losers. They care for you.
Maggie: Why are you being so nice to me now?
Bianca: Because we're friends. Friends are kind of like family. I mean, they're supposed to accept you for who you are. You fight and you work it through. If you're lucky, in the end you end up closer together. That's what friendship is.
Maggie: And that's what we have, real -- real friendship?
Bianca: Yeah. I feel closer to you than I do anybody outside my family.
Maggie: Me, too. I'm sorry I went ballistic on you, all right? I'm a little stressed out right now, if you haven't noticed, and, well, most people would have written me off.
Bianca: No. We're friends no matter what.
Maggie: Wow. What would I do without you?

Kendall: You know, you've been a lot nicer to me since this whole brother/sister thing happened.
Trey: Have I?
Kendall: Yeah. I mean, you kicked Erica out of here when she ragged on me, and then at the hospital you smacked down Bianca when she got in my face.
Trey: Well, they deserved it.
Kendall: If the DNA test results are positive, what do you think we should do?
Trey: Just like you said -- we'll just wait and see what happens.
Kendall: Right. That's a good idea. Do you want the test to be positive?
Trey: So I can find out that I’m the son of a rapist? Hell, no. Kendall, that's not a slam on you.
Kendall: No, it's okay. I don't -- I don't bruise that easily. Where are you going?
Trey: I'll be right back. Just wait here. I want to get something I've had forever I want to show you.

[Pounding on door]
Kendall: All right, okay. Don't break the door down. Leo --
Leo: Is it true about Trey?
Kendall: What are you talking about?
Leo: Did you tell Greenlee that Trey burned Erica's house down and tried to frame you? Answer me, Kendall.
Trey: Actually, I'd like to know the answer to that myself.

Erica: Vanessa is lying. She has to be. There is much more to this.

Vanessa: Erica, what do you want now?
Erica: How did you know I was wearing a party dress?

[David is on bended knee – begging Anna’s forgiveness]
Anna: What are you doing? Get up!
David: I won't give up on us, Anna. I can't, all right?
Anna: Stand up. Get off your knees.
David: If you won't forgive me, I don't know what I'll do. I don't know --
Anna: Are you out of your mind?
David: I'm nothing without you, Anna, I mean it. I'm nothing. I'm – [David pockets the vial he found under Anna’s desk]

Anna: Officer? Officer? Can I get an officer in here, please? I want this man out of here.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: Anna has nothing to charge me with. I'm in the clear.

Anna: I want to know why you lied to me.

Kendall: I want you dead. If I could kill you myself, I would do it right now. Maybe I will.

Vanessa: There are just some things we can't really bury.
