ALL MY CHILDREN

SEPTEMBER 17, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Leo: Want to not go home?
Greenlee: More than anything.

Bianca: Just because David pulled another stunt doesn't mean you have to leave home.

Anna: We are over -- for now, for good, forever!
David: That baby inside of you is mine.

Mia: If you and Adam love Colby as much as you say you do, shouldn't she be more important than who wins?

TODAY’S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Erica: Well, how can I reach him? Well, when does he break for lunch? Fine, yes, then I'll see him at BJ.’s.

Val: Oh, Erica, you told me to order lunch at your desk, remember? You have a 1:00 meeting with advertising, a 3:00 with R&D, and -- oh, the designer has some new sketches for your wedding dress.
Erica: Cancel her. Tell her I’m in a meeting.
Val: Erica, she's doing this as a personal favor for you. You know, she has four celebrities lined up for the Emmys and --
Erica: Just do it, Val.
Val: Yes, Ms. Kane.

Bianca: Hi, Mom. I --
Erica: Where were you yesterday?
Bianca: Oh, I got tied up. I left you a message. You didn't get it?
Erica: Excuse me. This is not a country club where you just drop in when you feel like it.
Bianca: I never thought it was.
Erica: I thought you understood that working here meant making a commitment. Obviously, I was wrong.

[Music plays]
Greenlee: Leo!
Greenlee: Come on! Come on. Come on. Hey, look.
Leo: What is this, some kind of a chain letter, cries for help, or -- green, these are tickets to Paris.
Greenlee: One-way. We're leaving tonight.

[Doorbell rings]
Anna: Hello, Liza.
Liza: Anna.
Anna: Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't call first. I wonder if you could spare me a few minutes.
Liza: Actually, I'm getting ready to take my daughter --
Anna: It won't take long. It -- it really can't wait.
Liza: Why? What's going on?
Anna: Police business. About your connection to David Hayward.

David: Jake -- what are you doing here? Dr. Clader called me.
Jake: I asked him to.
David: Why?
Jack: Because if you'd known that I was waiting here for you, you never would've come.
David: So you called the D.A.?
Jake: You broke into this office.
David: The door was unlocked.
Jake: I told you to stay out of this hospital, Hayward. You were warned.
David: I don't give a damn about your warning. I have a heart patient who's pregnant. I needed Clader’s opinion.
Jake: Actually, his wife is pregnant.
Jack: Anna's pregnant?
Jake: Yeah. She didn't want him to know, so he decided to check into Clader’s files --
David: I had a right to know. I am the father.
Jack: Here you go.
David: And what is this?
Jack: This is a restraining order. You so much as set one foot on this hospital's property and you will be arrested and held without bail, and not even chandler's lawyers are going to be able to get you out. You follow me?

Nurse: Excuse me. Dr. Martin? They need you for that consult on the Bannerman child?
Jake: Ok, thank you. I'll be right there.

Jake: Listen, why don't we move this out to the corridor here.
Jack: You must know that Anna is through with you, so why don't you do yourself a favor and just move --
David: No, no, you mean you want me to do you a favor. You've been after my wife's badge for months.
Jack: No, I've been after you. The only reason your wife's badge was at risk is because you forced her to cover for you.
David: I didn't force her to do anything.
Jack: But not even she can excuse what you've --
David: What, you're speaking for my wife now?
Jack: No, I'm speaking for common decency. You keep Maria away from her family for five years -- five years? That's a new low, even for you, Hayward.
David: I saved Maria’s life. Her medical records will prove that.
Jack: Oh, so, what, does that make you a good doctor? You're still a miserable excuse for a human being. And no matter how you try to weasel out of this, you have lost Anna. You got that?
David: No, you get this -- my marriage is off-limits.
Jack: She's gone, David. She's gone. And no matter what rabbits you try to pull out of your hat, you're never going to get her back because Anna has finally seen you for what you really are.
David: Actually, Anna’s always known exactly what I am, and that's why she loves me.
Jack: You sick, deluded egomaniac. You want to know what the best part of this is? Now you're mine. There's nobody left in this town who's going to come to your defense, Hayward. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Liza: I don't know what it is you think that I might be able to tell you.
Anna: I'm investigating David’s connection to Maria Grey. Do you know anything about that?
Liza: I don't know.
Anna: He came here right before we took him into custody. Why?
Liza: Have you asked him?
Anna: I'm asking you.
Liza: Well, as you know, I'm in business with David.
Anna: Yeah. You had told me that when you were sick, he had manipulated you into this research and development agreement.
Liza: You don't expect me to discuss the terms of our agreement, do you?
Anna: Not yet.
Liza: No, not ever, without advice of counsel.
Anna: Absolutely. I'll remember that. What I’m really interested in is why he came here.
Liza: He needed help.
Anna: Your help?
Liza: Help from Chandler Enterprises.
Anna: And it was so urgent that he drugged one of my officers to rush over here?
Liza: I know that he was desperate. He wanted me to use my personal influence.
Anna: He told you what he did to Maria, did he?
Liza: He told me what he was accused of doing.
Anna: Ok. Uh -- oh, yeah, he found Edmund’s wife after she had survived this terrible plane crash.
Liza: Right, and saved her life, which sounds pretty heroic.
Anna: There's nothing heroic about keeping a mother from her children, I don't think.
Liza: Well, the way that I understand it, she didn't really know who she was, which is why she stayed away --
Anna: Yeah, he found out who she was, but he didn't want her to know. And for some reason, he convinced her that she had killed someone.
Liza: What?
Anna: So Maria’s been running around the country for -- well, hiding, actually -- thinking that she was a murderer.
Liza: Well, I didn't know.
Anna: Yeah, he's admitted it. So, if you have any more ideas about helping him or using the Chandler team to plead his case --
Liza: I'm not sure --
Anna: Liza, you know what I'm talking about. I need some information from you. I need you to open up.
Liza: No -- really, maybe I should just talk to counsel --
Anna: Would you just look at me as though I'm not chief of police investigating a case? Because, really, I’m here -- oh, I've done this all wrong. I'm just a woman trying to find out how much the man I love has betrayed me. I just need the truth.

Greenlee: Hey.
Leo: I can't believe you bought two tickets to Paris.
Greenlee: Yes, I did. We are going to the country of fine wine and even finer romance.
Leo: Ok, I can't leave the country.
Greenlee: Well, technically you can't leave Pennsylvania, but here you are.
Leo: Yeah, and I plan on going back before I get caught.
Greenlee: Leo --
Leo: Greenlee -- I want to go Paris with you. You know that. But I got to do this right, and that means finding Vanessa’s drug money --
Greenlee: And turning it over to the feds.
Leo: That's the deal.
Greenlee: What if you don't find it? How much longer are we going to have to wait to start our lives?
Leo: I want to be totally free. I don't want to have to look over my shoulder every five minutes.
Greenlee: Well, it's not like Anna’s going to come after you. She let us go on our honeymoon.
Leo: That was a wedding gift! Maybe this time she'll throw me in jail! That is her job!
Greenlee: Leo, we loved Paris.
Leo: I know.
Greenlee: Come on. Come with me. We can leave everything here behind us.
Leo: Well, I guess -- what's the worst that could happen, right?
Greenlee: They drag us back here.
Leo: And throw me in a minimum-security prison where I get to work on my tennis game, greens.
Greenlee: I'll get you out or I’ll have myself tossed in there, and we'll both wind up with killer tennis games.
Leo: Ok. You win.
Greenlee: No, we win.
Leo: Can we at least hang out in New York for a while since we drove all the way here?
Greenlee: Yes, yes, we can. Our flight doesn't leave till later.
Leo: Are you sure about this?
Greenlee: I've never been more sure about anything.

Bianca: Mom, what's going on?
Erica: "What's going on?" I don't like being taken for granted, Bianca. I don't like enchantment being taken for granted.
Bianca: I'm not taking --
Erica: You made it very clear to me the first time I offered you this job that you did not want it.
Bianca: Well, because I wasn't ready.
Erica: You made it very clear that working here would be beneath you.
Bianca: No, I never said that, mom.
Erica: What you said is that you certainly did not want to follow in my footsteps, that that would be just the most unthinkable thing in the whole, wide world.
Bianca: I -- I just was in a different place.
Erica: And where are you now, Bianca? Certainly not here with me.
Bianca: Mom, look, I -- I -- I called you and told you --
Erica: You told me that you were registering for classes at the university. You told me that you would be a little bit late.
Bianca: Well, I had stayed late the night before and cleared my desk and you didn't need me.
Erica: You did not show up all day, Bianca. Not all day.
Bianca: Ok, mom, look, Maggie was in trouble.
Erica: And what did that have to do with you?
Bianca: She had packed her bags. She was going to leave town.
Erica: I repeat -- what did that have to do with you?
Bianca: Well, she's my friend and she was totally freaked out.
Erica: Oh, I see. So you put her first, ahead of your job?
Bianca: No, Mom, listen, she had just found out that her cousin David --
Erica: I have given you an opportunity here, Bianca, that other girls would kill for. Do you understand that? Because if you don't appreciate this --
Bianca: Oh, I do appreciate it! Mom, the decision to stay with Maggie yesterday had nothing to do with you.
Erica: I beg your pardon? This is my company. I am Enchantment.
Bianca: I know that, mom.
Erica: If you don't respect Enchantment, then you don't respect me.
Bianca: Mom, listen, I was just trying to help out a friend!
Erica: You don't have to raise your voice to me, young lady. I am still your mother.
Bianca: Maybe this wasn't the greatest idea.
Erica: Oh, so, what are you doing now? What, are you quitting? You going to walk out on me now?
Bianca: No, I'm not. I'm going to my office. We can discuss this later.
Erica: No, we will not discuss this later because I would like to discuss this now, Bianca! We are going to deal with this now!

Chris: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on --
Erica: Get out of my way!
Chris: Excuse me?
Erica: The last person in the world I want to see right now is you.
Chris: Was that supposed to be funny? Because I'm not laughing.
Erica: No, neither am I.
Chris: Ok. Where is this coming from?
Erica: Look, I'm very busy.
Chris: Did I -- did I get a letter from an old girlfriend? Are you reading my mail again? What? What? What?
Erica: Oh, well, I guess that's the only way I'm ever going to really know what's going on with you anyway, isn't it?
Chris: Erica, what -- look -- what's wrong?
Erica: You lied to me, ok? You lied to me again.
Chris: I lied to you?
Erica: Oh, all right, you didn't tell me the truth. That's the same difference.
Chris: You know -- I'll tell you what -- I'm going to go out and then I’m going to come back in again because I have no idea what you're talking about.
Erica: You have been reinstated! You are back working with the bureau!
Chris: And that surprises you? You saw me working the other day at Anna’s office.
Erica: I saw you sitting at the computer trying to connect the Proteus case with my house being burnt down.
Chris: Right?
Erica: Well, I thought that you were doing it because you love me, because you were trying to punish the man who hurt me, who took my home away from me.
Chris: Sweetheart, Sweetheart, that was part of it.
Erica: I didn't realize that you were back risking your life every day!
Chris: Erica, I -- I'm a fed. This is -- this is what I know. This is what I do.
Erica: You enjoy the prospect of maybe being killed every day?
Chris: Well, it beats the heck out of tending bar at SOS.
Erica: Oh, I don't really know you at all.
Chris: No, no, no, as a matter of fact, you know me better than anyone ever has or ever will.
Erica: Well, that's what I wanted to think!
Chris: Erica, Erica -- Sweetheart, look at me, please. This -- this is who I am. I love what I do as much as you love what you do.
Erica: But you don't get killed running a cosmetics company.
Chris: What do you expect me to do with my life? You want me to -- you want me to hang around while you're wheeling and dealing, holding on to your purse while you're running the world? If that's who you think I am, you got the wrong guy.
Erica: You know something? Maybe I do!

Anna: I've been wanting to come and see you for a while, talk to you.
Liza: Why haven't you?
Anna: I was afraid of what you might say.
Liza: Well, I can't tell you anything about David that you don't already know. You knew everything.
Anna: Yeah, I knew. But part of me just kept hoping that if I loved him enough --
Liza: You could humanize him.
Anna: Well, show him another way, at least.
Liza: Anna, you're smarter than that.
Anna: Yeah. I thought so. He shreds people, Liza. He shreds them, and it doesn't even register.
Liza: You don't understand why he can't be more like you, and he does not understand why you can't be more like him.
Anna: I'm pregnant.
Liza: God help you.
Liza: So, what are you going to do?
Anna: Oh, I don't know.
Liza: Does David --
Anna: I wasn't going to tell him, but he found out.
Liza: They always do.
Anna: Huh. In spite of everything that has happened, all the things that I have found about him, he turns up at my doorstep yesterday, looking at me as if --
Liza: You're the keeper of the flame.
Anna: Keeper of his damn dynasty.
Liza: The start of it, anyway.
Anna: If I thought that he wanted a child because he wanted to love her or him, to take to a ballgame, hang a swing in the bloody willow tree he's always talking about, I think even now I would forgive him. I can't believe I'm saying that. But it isn't about that.
Liza: It's about ownership.
Anna: Why do you stay with Adam? You wanted a child on your own, didn't you, and I know he tampered with that.
Liza: Yes.
Anna: Well, why do you stay? You could make it on your own.

Colby: Mommy?
Liza: Ooh, hello.
Colby: Can I go to the pool after my -- can I go to the pool after I come back from the doctor?
Liza: Well, maybe if it's warm enough.
Colby: It will be. Daddy says if I be good and I don't cry, I could stay in the pool as long as I want.
Liza: Well, you know what mommy says? "We'll see." Can I have a hug? You asked me the reason I stay? This is the reason.

Greenlee: Casey Wexler. Voice mail. Get those skates off the bed. Hi. Hi, Casey, it's Greenlee. You know, it's been really amazing working with all of you, but here's the thing. I'm transferring to the Paris office as of -- well, actually, now. Kiss, kiss. Done.
Leo: Excellent. So, do you want to throw anything in my bag before --
Greenlee: No.

[Knock on door]
Leo: Who's that?
Greenlee: I don't know.
Leo: Mm-hmm? My guess it's some, what, street musician trying to get us in the mood? Is that it, Greenlee? David.
David: Hey.
Leo: What are you doing here?
David: I -- I got a message on my machine this morning from Greenlee saying that you needed your passport, so --
Greenlee: Uh -- I thought courier service. I didn't realize you were going to hand-deliver it.
David: Yeah, well, I was invited to a seminar here in the city, so I thought why not?
Leo: What a coincidence.
David: Yeah, well --
Leo: It's very convenient.
David: Well, as it turns out --
Leo: A little too convenient, David. Why don't you tell me what the hell's really going on. Hmm? Hmm?
David: It's just -- I need to talk to my brother.

Erica: I'm serious, Chris. I think we should take some time.
Chris: "Some time."
"Some time"? What -- what are you saying? Are you saying you want out? Is that what you're saying to me?
Erica: I'm just saying that I think that we both need a little bit of --
Chris: Look, you don't tell me what I need. I know what I need, and she's standing right in front of me. That's what I need.
Erica: And I don't know if I can survive making another mistake!
Chris: Oh, now we're a mistake?
Erica: I didn't say that.
Chris: Then why don't you just talk to me straight? Please, tell me what the hell is going on with you!
Erica: You knew I didn't want you to go back to the bureau. You knew that. You'd be strapping a gun on every single day, and you'd be risking your life and --
Chris: You're scared. You are scared.
Erica: I'm not scared.
Chris: Sweetheart, you're scared and you're just making excuses.
Erica: Oh, don't you dare tell me that I am making excuses.
Chris: You want time? Fine, you take all the time you need. But stop pretending this has anything to do with my job and me wearing a gun.
Erica: I can't marry you if I can't trust you.
Chris: You don't -- you -- you don't trust me because of this? With everything we have going on between us, with everything that we have, this love we share? What -- this is crazy! Where are you going?
Erica: I have to go.
Chris: What? What? You start a war and now you have to go?
Erica: Yes, I have to go!

[Door opens]
Bianca: Sorry. I couldn't help overhearing.
Chris: Hmm. She's impossible.
Bianca: I tried to stop her on the way out, and she said that she had a meeting.
Chris: Your mother -- she's running away from me, Bianca.
Bianca: She's just not herself today.
Chris: That -- that would be an understatement.
Bianca: You're not the only one who got it. She really tore into me before.
Chris: Is that why you ran out of here before? Smart move.
Bianca: Hmm -- no. I should've stayed.
Chris: What, and get your head handed to you?
Bianca: No, to prove to her that no matter what she said or did, I would never leave her. She was testing us, and we both failed.

Erica: Where is he? What is this, a conspiracy? Is everybody I know against me?
Jack: Well, hello, you.
Erica: Oh --
Jack: I was going to call and see you.
Erica: Really? But first you thought you'd have lunch?
Jack: Yes. It's a really bad habit I have around lunchtime.
Erica: But anything I might need -- that didn't count for anything.
Jack: Erica, your assistant called my office. You knew where I would be.
Erica: Oh, come on. That's beside the point.
Jack: Are you all right?
Erica: You knew that Chris was doing a lot more than just follow-up on that Proteus case.
Jack: Yes, yes, I did.
Erica: And you knew that I didn't want him to be reinstated. Why did you not tell me what was happening?
Jack: That was not my tale to tell, Erica.
Erica: Oh, you don't think that you need to warn me?
Jack: No.
Erica: Jack, I count on you, in case you didn't know that. I count on you to tell me the truth.
Jack: I do know that, and I always tell you the truth -- when it is appropriate.
Erica: You are the one person that I’m supposed to be able to trust. You are the one person that I'm supposed to be able to count on, damn it! If I don't have you, then I have nobody!
Jack: Erica, what are you talking about? Your life is full of people who love -- oh. Are you all right?
Erica: That's the second time you asked me that. Of course I'm all right. Why wouldn't I be all right?
Jack: Because today is your father's birthday.
Jack: Tell you what -- why don't we have a seat. Tell me, how long has it been since you've spoken to your father?
Erica: I don't want to talk about my father.
Jack: It has to be at least 10 years, huh?
Erica: 12.
Jack: But who's counting? Look -- I know that no matter how long it's been, it'll never get any easier for you.
Erica: Look, you still haven't answered my question, Jack. Why didn't you tell me that Chris got his old job back?
Jack: I'm not going to monitor your relationship with agent stamp. Erica: You are supposed to be my friend.
Jack: I am your friend, Erica, but that does not including going behind your fiancé’s back.
Erica: I see. Of course. You're jealous.
Jack: You always think I’m jealous. The fact is I know how rough this day has always been for you.
Erica: Jack, I mean it. I don't want to talk about my father.
Jack: Well, maybe you should. Judging by the way you're acting, the state you're in, maybe you need to, you know? And I'm here if you want --
Erica: Thank you.
Jack: Thanks.
Erica: Ahem.
Jack: I'm sorry, Erica.
Erica: For?
Jack: I'm sorry that your father ran out on you when you were a kid. I'm sorry that he -- I'm sorry that he broke your heart.

Liza: So I’ll tell you what -- why don't you get your sketchbook and your crayons, and that way we can draw or play a game while we're in the waiting room at the doctor's office.
Colby: Ok.
Liza: Ok. Just be a few minutes, and then we'll go.
Colby: Ok.
Liza: Ok. Go on.
Anna: Bye, Colby.
Colby: Bye.

Anna: I remember Robin when she was oh, I mustn't get sentimental.
Liza: Well, with a child, it's a little hard to avoid.
Anna: Yeah, but I have to think clearly.
Liza: You know, I've been struggling to do that for years.
Anna: You had no idea what Adam had done to you, did you?
Liza: You mean that he switched the sperm samples so that I was definitely pregnant with his child? No. Not for a long time.
Anna: But if you had found out right away, before it was too late, what would you have done?
Liza: I can't answer that.
Anna: I'm sorry. That's -- I didn't mean to pry. It's between you and Adam.
Liza: No, it's -- it's not that I don't want to. It's just that I’ve seen too much. I mean, I've seen her laugh at silly jokes, and -- and when she's heartbroken, I’ve seen her cry.
Anna: You've been very generous with your time. Thank you. But aren't you afraid, raising her in this house with Adam h father? Aren't you afraid --
Liza: Of his influence?
Anna: Yeah, because you know what type of a man he is and how charming he can be, especially to a child.
Liza: You know, I'm -- I'm worried all the time. They just went on this fishing trip that I had no idea that they were going on and I had no idea when they were coming back.
Anna: You must've been out of your mind.
Liza: Yeah, I -- I was. I didn't know if I would ever see her again. They were gone for weeks.
Anna: But -- I don't know how you do it. I would run with her. I would have to.
Liza: Where? She is his legacy, and he is going to fight me and he is going to find her. And, you know, she loves him.
Anna: What about when she's older and she does start to see him the way you do?
Liza: It's not going to happen because he's her father.
Anna: Right. Meaning?
Liza: Meaning that to her, he will always be daddy, who adores her.
Anna: But we know what David and Adam are really like because we did choose them. We know what kind of men they are.
Liza: A lot of good it does us.
Anna: So we have their children?
Liza: We give them their legacy.
Anna: What about our legacy? When does this stop being about Adam and David and start being about us?
Anna: I'd better go.
Liza: Thank you for coming, and thank you for talking.
Anna: I'll let you know what happens.

David: I don't know how much either of you knows, but Anna and I have hit a rough patch.
Leo: A -- I don't mean to be insensitive, David, but your marriage to Anna has pretty much been one big rough patch, hasn't it?
David: She's saying that she wants to divorce me.
Greenlee: What did you do?
David: Well, it -- it's a long story and it's really complicated.: Well, we've got time before our plane leaves.
David: Your plane leaves? Where you going?
Leo: We were sort of going to go to Paris tonight.
David: Leo, you can't go to Paris. Anna told you that you can't leave the country.
Leo: I know, I know. I can't leave until the Proteus investigation is over.
Greenlee: And we don't know how long that's going to take.
Leo: And we want to get the hell out of here, David. We're tired of waiting.
Greenlee: And Paris is our city.
David: Look, I know this is a lot to ask of you, but I need you to put your plans on hold -- both of you. You got to come back with me.
Greenlee: Why?
David: Anna's pregnant. We wanted this. We've been trying.
Leo: That's great, I guess. What -- but she wants a divorce?
David: Yes, yes. You know, I thought that having this child would convince her to give us another chance, but she says she wants to raise this child without me.
Leo: Ok, but, David, we were --
David: No, I need your help, Leo. I need you to help me. Ok? You got to do this for me. She's not listening to me.
Leo: So, what, she's going to listen to me?
David: I'm not sure if she will, but she needs somebody there reminding her of the good things about me. All right, about us. About us.
Leo: And I guess I'm that somebody, right?
David: Leo, you're my last hope. Frankly, you're my only hope.
Leo: David, we were going to go tonight. Greenlee and me --
David: Leo, listen to me. When I got you that plane for your honeymoon, you said that you owed me, right?
Leo: Yeah, I remember.
David: I'm sorry. I don't -- I hate to have to call in that marker, but I need you to do this, Leo. I promise you I won't ask you ever to do anything again, but I need this from you.
Leo: Oh, jeez. What do you say, baby? If you want to get on the plane, I'll get on the plane with you right now.
Greenlee: You know, as long as I’m with you, I’m happy.
Leo: Oh.
Greenlee: Ok, if you want to help your brother, we'll go.
Leo: Well, you heard her.
David: Thanks, guys. Thank you, both of you.
Leo: Yeah, I just can't wait to hear what you did this time.
David: Uh -- well -- I'll fill you in, ok, on the way. Just -- just -- come on, we got to go, so let's get out of here.

Ticket Agent: Are you traveling alone?
Anna: Yeah.
Woman: Going to St. Justin's to untie the knot? Honey, if it makes you feel any better, you won't be the only one on that plane.
Anna: Well, my marriage wasn't intended to last. This is merely a formality.

Jack: Honey, your father was the one who let you down, not your sainted mother.
Erica: Oh, I know that. I know that now. I have made peace with my father a long time ago.
Jack: Thank you.
Erica: Thank you.
Jack: So, tell me, have you told Chris about this?
Erica: About what?
Jack: About your father. About what he did to you. About how you feel about it. About how it's left you so --
Erica: So what?
Jack: About how much it hurt you, Erica. About how it left you so vulnerable.
Erica: I'm not vulnerable.
Jack: Hey, listen to me. It's not a disgrace. We all carry our scars, you know?
Erica: Jack, I certainly would not be where I am today if I were weak.
Jack: Well, that's true enough. And since you're so strong, why not let Chris go back to his job, maybe gets killed and taken out of your life. So what? I mean, you've got all this nasty stuff from your past worked out, so why should it bother you?
Erica: Excuse me. I just wanted him to tell me what was going on. I have a right.
Jack: Yeah, well, you know what? He has a right, too. He has a right to know one of the most important things in your life.
Erica: You mean about my father leaving?
Jack: That's right.
Erica: I told you, that --
Jack: No, look. Your father leaving you has been the driving force in your life, Erica, since the day he walked out. It's what drives you today, this minute, as you sit here.
Erica: You know something? You usually do not resort to psychobabble. I have never heard anything so --

Erica: So ridiculous.
Jack: Honey, I know you.
Erica: No, not nearly as well as you think you do, and you never have and you never will.
Erica: What are you doing?
Jack: I'm leaving -- not that it isn't always a pleasure, believe me.
Erica: You're going?
Jack: Yes, I am. And don't call me anymore, Erica. I cannot be the one you turn to. Remember, you're getting married.
Erica: Fine. Leave me.

[Music plays]
Jack: Come here.

Woman: Ok. There you go.
Anna: Great. Thank you.

David: Anna?
Anna: Oh, hi. What are you guys doing here? I --
David: St. Justin's Island? You're on your way to divorce me.

Leo: David is inside of you. Just give him another chance.
