ALL MY CHILDREN

SEPTEMBER 5, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Anna: I'm not your wife anymore. I want you moved out by tonight.

Brooke: I shook hands with the devil. So this is me getting everything that I deserve.

Edmund: I never stopped loving you. Maria?

Aidan: You're alone and you always will be.

J.R.: It's ok.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[BROOKE'S HOUSE]
Tad: Go upstairs and wash your face, ok?
Brooke: Hi.
Tad: Brooke. Listen, I know I said Jamie could stay at my place, but --
Brooke: Jamie, what happened?
Tad: Hey, it's ok. He's fine. He's fine. He just wanted to come home.
Brooke: Were you fighting? Why were you fighting?
Jamie: I wasn't going to let them say that about you.
Brooke: You were fighting because of me? It wasn't just because of me. It was about me and Maria, right?

[PV HOSPITAL]
Nurse: Mrs. Grey is still being tested, Dr. Hayward. She's not in her room yet.
David: Thank you. Hello.
Jack: And what the hell do you think you're doing here? Because if you think you're going to walk in here and manipulate your wife into getting you out of this jam, son, you're wrong.
Anna: No, he's not here to see me. He's not here to see me. He's here to see someone else. Maria Grey, right?

Isabella: I left Teo at Wildwind with Sam and Maddie. I couldn't wait any longer, Edmund. I had to come and see her.
Edmund: You know what? The doctor said it could be a while.
Isabella: Why? What's wrong with her?
Edmund: She collapsed. She was under a lot of stress, coming here the way she was.
Isabella: That's Brooke English's fault.
Edmund: You know, it doesn't do any good to blame anybody right now.
Isabella: But if we had known, we could have brought her home. Her family could have taken care of her. She didn't have to go through this alone.
Edmund: You're right.
Isabella: My Maria has been alive for five years and I didn't even know it, and here I am in the hospital and I can't see her.
Edmund: Listen, as soon as she's ready, you will, ok?
Isabella: I just want to put my arms around her again, Edmund.
Edmund: I know. I understand. I got to warn you. She's not the Maria that we knew. She will not recognize you, ok? It's going to be hard for you.
Isabella: Do you think anything can be harder than thinking I had lost her?
Edmund: I'm just warning you it's going to take time for her memory to come back.
Isabella: But she's still my daughter and your wife.
Edmund: Yes, she is. But as much as we want her to be the Maria that we know and love --
Isabella: She isn't.
Edmund: No. We can't hit her with everything all at once. We have to take our time, ok?
Isabella: I understand.
Edmund: Ok. Do me a favor.
Isabella: Hmm?
Edmund: Get some air, go out, instead of being here and drive yourself crazy, all right?
Isabella: I'll be back soon. Ok.

Edmund: Oh, man. The waiting is the hard part, huh?
Aidan: Endless. Endless. I just hope she's all right.
Edmund: Yeah. I hope my wife is, too. Jake --
Aidan: How's Maria Grey?
Edmund: And who the hell are you?
Jake: I just wanted to let you know that Maria is still down in radiology and it'll be a while.
Edmund: Thanks, Jake. You haven't answered my question. Who are you? How do you know my wife?
Aidan: Oh, right. You're the husband that she's been talking about.
Edmund: How do you know my wife?
Aidan: Well, I was walking through the park one day and I found her and she'd been mugged.
Edmund: And then what did you do?
Aidan: Well, the lady was terrified. She had nowhere to go, so I took her back to where I was staying at the Pine Cone motel, where she'd be safe and she could get herself together. Edmund: That night at the pine cone when I saw you -- is it possible that Maria was there that night with you?
Aidan: Yeah, definitely. She was --
Edmund: She was four feet away from me and you didn't say anything.
Aidan: Well, I didn't know you were her husband. Neither did she. She doesn't know anybody in this town. She doesn't even know who she is herself.
Edmund: Ok, ok, you got a woman in that condition in your hands. Why didn't you just turn Her over to the authorities, call the police?
Aidan: And say what? "Hi, I've got a girl here, she's lost her mind." I mean, "come lock her up"?
Edmund: No. How about "she's sick," huh? "Let's take her somewhere where she can get some professional care." Proper authorities, perhaps?
Aidan: She was scared of the proper authorities and she was terrified of the police.
Edmund: Yeah, well, that might have been an extra clue that she needed some help.
Aidan: Well, like the kind of help that you gave her, putting out an APB out on her for kidnapping your own daughter?
Edmund: Look, I didn't know where my daughter was. I didn't know where Maddie had been taken.
Aidan: She would have come back a hell of a lot faster if you hadn't made her feel a criminal.
Edmund: My daughter was missing!
Aidan: So you decided to terrify a woman that was already half scared out of her mind with fear?
Edmund: Look, you don't tell me how to deal with my wife, all right?

Maddie: Daddy! Daddy, stop. Why are you yelling at Mommy's friend?

David: You're right. I heard that Maria was brought in here, so I came to check on my patient.
Jack: Oh, isn't that thoughtful.
David: Anna --
Jack: If only you'd been that worried about her five years ago when you took her away from her husband and her children.
David: Anna, I need to speak with you.
Anna: I really have to go to work.
David: I never meant for any of this to happen. And I would do anything to keep you from being hurt. You have to know that.
Anna: I have to go to work.
David: But this whole thing, it got out of hand. And now all I can do is tell you how sorry I am.
Jack: Aw, that's really, really big of you, sport. Can you let the chief go on to business now?
David: Anna, listen to me. What happened between me and Maria was years ago. I never dreamed that it would touch you in any way.
Anna: Well, it did, and not just me.
David: The most important thing in my life right now is my marriage to you, and I can't believe that you would destroy that because of something that I did a lifetime ago.
Anna: I don't have any say in any of this.
David: If I could go back and change what happened, I would. I'm a different man now, Anna. You know that. It's because of you.
Anna: Really, you're not different enough.
David: I would never do anything to risk losing you, especially not for a patient, and that's all that Maria was to me. She was a patient.
Anna: I don't care what she was.
David: But you -- you're my whole life, Anna. I mean, you're the reason, the one reason that I have to go on living. Now, I would never -- I would never do anything to hurt you, ok, and I'm never going to forgive myself for what I've done. I will never forgive for hurting you.
Jack: Yeah, yeah, that's really sweet, but it's a little late for an 11th-hour --
David: Who the hell are you? I'm trying to talk to my wife!
Jack: Yeah, well, it's over now, son! Excuse us!
David: Anna, don't walk away from me, please, not like this, ok? Just give me a chance to try to make this right. Let me show you how much you mean to me, how much -- how much I love you.

Jamie: Some guys were just talking trash. I told them that you would never -- it was no big deal.
Brooke: They were saying that I lied about Maria Grey being alive, right?
Jamie: Mom, forget it. I took care of it.
Brooke: They were right. I did lie.
Jamie: No way.
Brooke: And I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you before you heard it from somebody else.
Jamie: No way.
Tad: James, maybe you should just listen.
Jamie: Why would you do something like that?
Tad: You have no idea what your mother was going through.
Brooke: Tad, it's ok. I did it because I didn't want to lose Edmund.
Jamie: So you did know Maria was alive?
Brooke: Yes, I knew. I found out. I didn't want to think it was true. I tried to convince myself, but, yes, I knew.
Jamie: You let Edmund think his wife was dead so you can hang on to him?
Tad: James, it's not that simple.
Jamie: What about Maddie and Sammy? Weren't you going to let them know their mom was alive?
Brooke: There's no way I can explain this to you.
Jamie: I can't believe this. You're my mother. You don't do things like this!
Brooke: Oh, Jamie, I --

[Jamie runs upstairs]
Tad: All right, it's all right. Let me have a minute alone with him, ok?

[Doorbell rings]
Brooke: Oh. Isabella. Hi. Please, come in.
Isabella: This won't take long. I just have one question for you. It's about Maria.

[PV PARK]
[Kendall and J.R. continue kissing]
Kendall: Oh, my God. What are we doing?
J.R.: I'd say we just --
Kendall: What am I doing?
J.R.: I'd say you were kissing me.
Kendall: This never happened.
J.R.: Actually -- actually, it did. And so what? I mean, it's not like we committed a crime or anything.
Kendall: I bet I just did. Oh, my God, I bet there's a law against this or something. There's got to be.
J.R.: Well, why?
Kendall: I don't care. I don't care. Whatever it was, whatever happened, let's just forget it, ok?
J.R.: But, Kendall, I can't.
Kendall: No, I am so out of here.
J.R.: Please, seriously, don't go.

[PV HOSPITAL - MARIA'S ROOM]
Frank: Hi. How you feeling?
Maria: Where am I?
Frank: You're at Pine Valley hospital. We were running some tests on you, and I guess we tired you out.
Maria: Oh. Yeah, it's a little bit hazy. I don't remember.
Frank: You were at Wildwind, and you fainted. Your husband, Edmund Grey -- he brought you here.
Maria: Oh, ok. Ok, yeah, I remember now. Do you know why I fainted?
Frank: We're still working on that. See, all the tests look good. What? What is it?
Maria: Did I know you, too?
Frank: No. No, we've never met.
Maria: Ok.
Frank: But your husband is here, and he's been waiting to see you. So if you're ready, I'll tell Dr. Martin to send him in.
Maria: No, no. Wait.

Edmund: No, Sweetheart, nothing's wrong. Just this guy and I were just discussing something.
Aidan: Yeah, Maddie, it's just grownups talking. You ok? And who's this one?
Maddie: My brother, Sammy.
Aidan: Well, hi, Sammy. My name's Aidan. I'm very pleased to meet you.
Sam: Hi.
Aidan: So, what, you guys are here to see your mum?
Maddie: Is that why you're here?
Aidan: Yeah. I heard your mum wasn't feeling very well, so I thought I'd drop by and check up on her.

Mateo: I had to bring them. They heard Maria was in the hospital. They got all upset, especially Maddie.
Edmund: You did the right thing.
Mateo: They just wanted to hear from their daddy that Maria's all right.
Edmund: I don't know myself, but I'm not going to have them worrying. They've been through enough.

Aidan: Well, we had a good time hanging out, didn't we, Maddie?
Maddie: It was fun. Me and Mommy were in this place with Aidan.
Edmund: Listen, if you don't mind, I need to talk to my kids.

Jake: Maria is back in her room, and she's awake. I'm sorry, Edmund. The person she wants to see is Aidan.
Jack: Anna, listen to me. You don't owe this guy one damn thing.
David: Just talk to me.
Jack: Shut up. Let's get out of here right now.
Anna: Would you give me a minute?
Jack: Anna, you got to be kidding.
Anna: No, I'm fine. Really, I know what I'm doing.
Jack I'll see you later, then.

David: Thank you.
Anna: What do you want?
David: He's right, you know? I don't deserve a minute of your time. I don't deserve you.
Anna: Oh, please spare me the humble routine.
David: It's the truth. I don't deserve you, Anna. But I love you more than I ever dreamed I could love another human being.
Anna: Words come so easily to you, don't they? It's a pity you don't mean them.
David: These past 24 hours have been hell for me -- the thought of having to live my life without you. I can't. I can't.
Anna: What, am I supposed to feel sorry for you?
David: I just -- I just want you to understand.
Anna: No, what you want is a free pass, because you are David, the genius, and I am Anna, your playmate --
David: That's not true.
Anna: And we are so clever and adorable that we don't have to live by the rules and we can do whatever we please, but people got hurt.
David: I know.
Anna: They got really hurt.
David: I know, I know. And I'm changing, Anna, rapidly, and that's due in large part because of you. When I found out that you filed for divorce, a part of me started dying.
Anna: Ugh. Welcome to my world.
David: I'm sorry for what I've done to you, ok, to us, and I will be sorry until the day I die.
Anna: Well, that doesn't help now.
David: I will do whatever it takes to make this up to you.
Anna: There isn't anything.
David: That's not true.
Anna: No, there isn't.
David: No, that's not true. If it were, you wouldn't even be here right now. You would have left with Jackson.
Anna: Well, because you begged me.
David: And you stayed because there's still something between us and you know it.
Anna: No.
David: You still love me, Anna.
Anna: No. No. Whatever we had, it's --
David: Whatever we had is so alive, I can feel it kicking and screaming for another chance. Anna, look at me.
Anna: I got to go.
David: Anna, you look at me and you tell me that there's not a part of me living inside of you. You look at me in the eyes and you tell me that you don't love me.

Brooke: Isabella, please, come in.
Isabella: I'm sure you can imagine what a shock this was -- hearing my daughter's still alive.
Brooke: It must be.
Isabella: It didn't seem real yet because I haven't seen her. That's all I need, just to look at her. But now that she's in the hospital, they won't let me see her.
Brooke: Maria's in the hospital? What happened?
Isabella: She collapsed. They're not sure what it is yet. It could be stress, finding out she has a family she doesn't know, everything coming at her at once.
Brooke: I hope she's going to be all right.
Isabella: It didn't have to be this way for her. She didn't have to suffer like this.
Brooke: I have no excuse for what I did to -- to Edmund and you and your family.
Isabella: So it's true. You saw her. You looked into her eyes and you knew who she was.
Brooke: Yes, I knew. I knew it was Maria.
[Isabella slaps Brooke]

Kendall: J.R., Let me go.
J.R.: I can't.
Kendall: Hello? My arm!
J.R.: I can't just let you go and take off like nothing happened.
Kendall: It didn't, because I would never let anything happen with a kid.
J.R.: I know I'm old enough to know what you're doing.
Kendall: I'm trying to let you do easy.
J.R.: You're trying to cover your butt, ok? You were just crying over Ryan five minutes ago, ok? Sorry, but I know what you're doing.
Kendall: Fine. Fine. You tell yourself that. Just give me my arm back.
J.R.: Point of clarity -- I know what didn't just happen, and I know where it was headed. And I'm glad that we met up tonight, no matter how mean you get.
Kendall: I'm not mean.
J.R.: You try to be.
Kendall: Ok, there's this thing I do when I'm mad at myself. I beat up on the people around me.
J.R.: Oh, well, you know, that sounds like a great plan. Why the hell are you doing that, Kendall?
Kendall: Maybe for dragging a really nice kid into this -- person -- into this mess I call my life.
J.R.: Ok, I don't what it's like with other guys that you make out with, but you weren't exactly dragging me into this.
Kendall: Could you please not discuss that kiss again?
J.R.: In case you didn't notice about that, there were two of us doing it. Two.
Kendall: You know what one of the -- one of the best things about Ryan was? He could see who people really were, and he liked you a lot. I can see why.
J.R.: And he loved you.
Kendall: The reason I got nasty? Because I have to say something and I don't want to.
J.R.: Go ahead.
Kendall: This can never happen again.
J.R.: Hey, that's your call. I always obey my elders.
Kendall: You little -- oh, you're very cute. You're very cute.
J.R.: Can I say something now?
Kendall: No.
J.R.: Tough. Whatever -- whatever the reason was that we were brought together tonight, it was -- it was the first time in forever that I felt anything good. So just think about that before you go beating yourself up, ok?
Kendall: Ok. And you're right. It -- it did feel good.
J.R.: And one more thing.
Kendall: Shoot.
J.R.: You're beautiful. You really are. You know that?

Anna: How can I love you after what you've done?
David: I don't blame you for saying that, but this had nothing to do with you, Anna. I would never hurt you.
Anna: Oh, and what about Maria?
David: I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to them, I promise, as long as I know that I haven't lost you.
Anna: What, are we negotiating here?
David: I just need a little hope to keep me going, all right? If there is even the slightest possibility that we can work this out --
Anna: No. No, I can't. No.
David: All right. I'll wait until you're ready. I'll wait a lifetime, Anna, as long as I know there's a chance. Tell me it isn't over. Please.

Jake: If you'll come with me.
[Aidan goes to see Maria]

Mateo: Are you ok with that?
Edmund: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine. It's Maria's call.
Mateo: If you say so.
Edmund: Yeah. Listen, guys, I understand you're upset about Mommy.
Maddie: Yeah.
Edmund: You are, huh? Well, do you know what's happened?
Maddie: She came back to us.
Edmund: Yes, she did.
Maddie: But what if she goes away again?
Edmund: Swear to you she's not going anywhere, Honey.
Maddie: But she's in the hospital, and what if she gets so sick she has to leave us like she did before?
Edmund: Know this -- Mommy will always be right here -- right there -- in our hearts, ok, the same place she's been for the last five years. Ok? Ok?
Maddie: Ok.
Sam: But Maddie got to see her and I didn't.
Edmund: I know. I know, and I know you want to see her, and I promise you you'll see her soon, all right?
Maddie: Ok.
Sam: I guess.
Edmund: All right. Now, listen, I'm here, and if you want anything?
Maddie: Yeah. We can't see this mommy.
Edmund: Not now.
Maddie: So can we see our other mommy?
Edmund: You mean Brooke?
Maddie: Could you call her up, Daddy, please?

Tad: Brooke, is everything ok?
Brooke: Isabella, not you or Edmund or your entire family could hate me as much as I -- as much as I hate myself right now.
Isabella: Do you know something? I don't care how you feel.
Brooke: I understand.
Isabella: I don't want your understanding. How could you do it? Were you that desperate to marry Edmund?
Tad: Wait a minute. She didn't have to go looking for Maria. Remember that.
Isabella: Well, what were you going to do when Maria got back, or were you planning to leave her out there?
Tad: Isabella, people don't things through like that.
Isabella: Even the night of the party at SOS when I told you Maria was looking down on you and blessing you, you knew she was alive! You knew Maria was a phone call away from the family that loved her, from her children, and you still said nothing!
Tad: You don't know what it was like.
Isabella: And the earring, the one that belonged to Maria -- you knew. You knew when I thought I had lost it and it made you so nervous and I couldn't understand why. It was because you were lying!
Brooke: I have no excuse.
Isabella: You were lying, over and over, everywhere you went, every word you said!
Brooke: I have no excuse.
Isabella: No, no, you don't. But answer a question for me. You're a mother, and you lost a child. You know what that pain is. How could you stand in front of me, having the power to take that pain away? How could say nothing?
Brooke: I'll never be able to tell you how sorry I am.
Isabella: You will never be sorry enough for me, not in this lifetime. As far as I'm concerned, you should have gone down in that plane instead of Maria! You should have died! [Isabella runs out of Brooke's house]

Tad: You ok?
Brooke: She's right. I don't deserve to live.

Maria: I'm really sorry about running off on you at the motel like that. The cops came, and I just freaked.
Aidan: Just panicked.
Maria: Yeah.
Aidan: Yeah.
Maria: I know that this hasn't been easy on you, taking care of me.
Aidan: Well, I think the person it's been hardest on is your husband.
Maria: Yeah --
Aidan: I think the guy has mourned for you, and he's watched his two kids go through the grief of losing their mum.
Maria: I know. It -- it's just feels so strange to me to hear you say that he's my husband.
Aidan: I know, but he is, and I don't think he's very happy knowing that I kept you from him.
Maria: But I asked you to. None of that was your fault.
Aidan: Well, I'm lucky the guy hasn't punched my teeth down the back of my throat.
Maria: How did he find out about you?
Aidan: We were both out there waiting for you.
Maria: Is he still out there?
Aidan: Yeah, he's still there, and I think I should go and get him.
Maria: No, no, no, wait, wait, wait! Wait.
Aidan: Edmund Grey is your husband.
Maria: You don't understand, Aidan. I just -- I can't process it right now.
Aidan: Well, maybe not at first.
Maria: No, I can't connect to it.
Aidan: You're going to have to try.
Maria: You don't know what it's like to have this man who looked at me at Wildwind -- he was so happy to see me. He was just so grateful to have me back.
Aidan: Well, you know, he thought he'd lost you.
Maria: Well, yeah, but he looks at me like I'm the other half of him.
Aidan: From what I heard, that's what you two were.
Maria: You have no idea of what it's like to have somebody look at you with so much love, but who needs it back from you so desperately and you don't feel anything.
Aidan: Yeah. I know he understands, and he's not going to push you.
Maria: No, this is just -- this is so scary for me. I just -- I want for everyone to go away -- for him to go away, for anybody to go away that expects me to be someone that I'm not and to give them something that I can't.
Aidan: Well, why didn't you leave when you had the chance?
Maria: Because of Maddie. Sam -- I haven't even met him yet.
Aidan: Well, they kept you here even though you don't remember them?
Maria: Yeah, I don't know. It's just -- something inside me, I just -- I knew I couldn't leave.
Aidan: That's because they're your children.
Maria: I don't know. I can't explain it. I don't feel like I'm their mother.
Aidan: Yeah, but you stayed here for them.
Maria: I don't know why. I can't explain it.
Aidan: Look, maybe if you give it some time, ok, your feelings for Edmund will come back.
Maria: What if they don't? What if they don't, Aidan? I can't have another thing like what happened at Wildwind.
Aidan: Yeah, but that was the first time, you know, that you'd seen him.
Maria: Yeah, but every time I see that poor man, I -- he looks at me with his heart in his eyes, and I've got nothing to give him.
Aidan: Yet you loved him once, right? Even if you don't remember that, some of it has to come back.
Maria: I'm not sure. So I need you to do me a favor. I want you to promise me something.

Tad: Wait a minute. Hey, just because you screwed up doesn't mean you deserve to die, and it doesn't mean you'll never be happy again, either.
Brooke: Happy? I'll just settle for being forgiven.
Tad: That'll come. That'll come.
Brooke: How is Mateo or Isabella ever going to forgive me? How will Edmund ever forgive me?
Tad: Shh. It's called time.
Brooke: I don't think anybody in this town is ever going to be able to trust me again.
Tad: Sure, they will. Of course they will. Yes. Believe me, take it from a guy who's had more than his fair share of second chances. It'll be ok. Sit down. Come on. Come on.
Brooke: And our son is hurt.
Tad: Our son is going to be just fine, ok? Jamie's tough. You got to give him credit. He's like his mother.
Brooke: How is he?
Tad: He's upset, but he's going to make it, ok? He'll come through.
Brooke: And I thought what Vanessa did was bad. But for his mother to --
Tad: You're his mother, that's right. You are his mother. And as his mother, you are going to teach him the most valuable lesson he will ever learn his entire life, ok?
Brooke: I can't.
[Jamie listens to Brooke and Tad]
Tad: Yes, you can. Yes, you can. You are going to teach him that good people make mistakes, and when they do, they admit to it. Then they get up and they dust themselves off and they go on with their lives.
Brooke: I don't -- I don't have it in me to start again.
Tad: Sure, you do. I know you do.
Brooke: I just want to go somewhere and hide that's --
Tad: Listen, maybe -- maybe you should try to get some sleep, ok?
Brooke: I can't sleep.
Tad: Sure, you can.
Brooke: No, I can't! I just -- I just think about what I did and what I didn't do and what I should have -- should have done, and then I -- I just -- I can't stop it. I --
[Jamie walks away]
Tad: Brooke, you have to start being gentler on yourself. Look, I want you to do me a favor, ok? I want you to sit there, I want you take a deep breath, and I want you to drink this. I mean it. Ok? You need something to help you calm down.
Brooke: What's going to help take the -- the pain away?

Edmund: Honey, I don't think it's a good idea to call Brooke.
Maddie: But you said she loves us.
Edmund: She does.
Maddie: As much as our first mommy?
Edmund: Yes.
Maddie: Then why won't she come?
Edmund: No -- no reason, I guess. I'll call, okay?

Mateo: You crazy?
Edmund: Yeah, probably. If seeing Brooke makes the kids feel better, then that's what is going to happen.

[Phone rings]
Tad: Hello?
Edmund: Tad, I'd like to speak to Brooke.
Tad: Edmund, she's not in very good shape right now.
Edmund: Who is? Put her on now.
Tad: I really don't think that's such a --
Brooke: I'll take it.

Brooke: Edmund, what's wrong?
Edmund: I need you to come to the hospital.
Brooke: Well, I mean, Maria is there right now. I don't think that --
Edmund: It's not for me. Maddie wants to see you.
Brooke: She does?
Edmund: Yes. Just think about it.
Brooke: I --
[Edmund hangs up]

Brooke: Edmund wants me to come to the hospital. He said Maddie wants to see me.
Tad: Forget about it.

David: You haven't answered me.
Anna: I can't.
David: I'll give you all the time you need.
Anna: I meant what I said. I need space. I need you to move out.
David: Anna --
Anna: If you don't, I will.
David: All right. All right, I'll go. Just promise me that you'll think about what I just said. It's all right. You don't have to say anything. I know you'll see it my way.
Anna: Please leave me alone.
David: You know I'm right. Anna, if we still love each other, we can get past this. And we will. Anna, I believe that. If I didn't, I'd go crazy.

Anna: Can I use your phone?
Nurse: Sure.
[Anna makes a phone call]
Anna: Hello? This is Anna Devane. Is he in? Can I speak with him?

Kendall: That's about the sweetest thing anyone has said to me in a hell of a long time.
J.R.: Good. Anytime.
Kendall: I got to go.
J.R.: Hey, Kendall -- we're still cool, right? Everything's fine with us, right?
Kendall: Yeah. Yeah. Just from here on out, we're just friends, ok?
J.R.: Mm-hmm. Got it. Yeah. Of course.

[PV HOSPITAL - DR. CLADER'S OFFICE]
Anna: Thank you for seeing me. I think I might be pregnant.
Dr. Clader: Have you got a blood test done?
Anna: No. I took one of those home pregnancy things, and it came up positive.
Dr. Clader: Well, they can be wrong, but it's almost always a false negative.
Anna: I need to be certain because I've had problems with pregnancies in the past.
Dr. Clader: I'll order a blood test right away.
Anna: Dr. Clader, see, if I am pregnant, I want to talk about my options.
David: Nurse, I'd like to see Maria Grey's chart, please.
Nurse: Certainly, Dr. Hayward.
David: Great. Thank you.
[David turns around and runs into Tad]
Maria: Aidan, I want you to promise me that you won't leave me.
Aidan: Maria --
Maria: Please, I don't care what they say, if they say that you don't really know me or that you don't have a right to be here, whatever it is.
Aidan: Well, then they'd be telling the truth if they said that.
Maria: It doesn't matter. I don't care. I don't care. I just want you to promise me that you won't leave me.
Aidan: And what about your family?
Maria: I don't know them. I don't know them. You're the only person that I know, and you have been so good to me.
[Edmund listens]
Aidan: Hey, anyone would have done exactly the same thing in my position.
Maria: Yeah, but you're the only person I trust. You're the only person that I feel safe with. Please, Aidan. Please promise that no matter what happens you won't leave me.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN
Greenlee: You want family privileges, you got to prove to us you're not still playing us for suckers.

David: I guess all those feelings for Dixie are dead and buried, huh?

Dr. Clader: Anna, are you considering terminating this pregnancy?

Maria: What have you done with my daughter?
