ALL MY CHILDREN

AUGUST 28, 2001

Mateo: Ok. Just breathe. In and out.
Hayley: How long since the last one?
Mateo: Five minutes. Five minutes and -- I don't want you standing, ok?
Hayley: Mateo, I'm fine.
Mateo: Well, I want you to stay that way. Sit down. Dr. Clader -- page the doctor.
Adam: Hello?
Mateo: Dr. Clader. Hey?
Adam: Hello?
Hayley: Please --
Adam: Where is everybody? We need a doctor in here!
Hayley: Dad, it's not an emergency.
Adam: It is an emergency. My grandson's about to be born.
Hayley: Will you please stop him --
Mateo: No, no --

Dr. Clader: Hayley, Mateo --
Mateo: Hey, hey. Hey, Doc.
Dr. Clader: How are you?
Nurse: Climb aboard.
Dr. Clader: Let's get you admitted.
Adam: You're going to do the paperwork first?
Hayley: Dr. Clader, will you please tell these guys to calm down?
Dr. Clader: Guys --
Mateo: Yes?
Dr. Clader: Calm down.
Mateo: I'm calm.
Hayley: Thanks for trying.
Mateo: I'm calm.
Hayley: Oh, there goes another one.
Mateo: Ok. That's -- that's seven minutes. Just breathe. Breathe. Where you going? That's my wife.
Dr. Clader: No, no, no -- calm down --
Mateo: How am I supposed to get the contractions?
Dr. Clader: A preliminary exam. You can come in when we're finished, ok? So stay close.
Mateo: Ok. Hey, I'll be right there. I love you.
Hayley: I love you, too.

Mateo: Isn't she great?
Adam: Yeah, yeah, she is.
Isabella: Mateo?
Mateo: Hey, Mom.
Rosa: Hey, where's Hayley?
Isabella: Where is she? Is she all right?
Mateo: Yeah.
Rosa: Shouldn't you be with her?
Mateo: They're -- you know, they're doing the exam thing. And we're going to go to the examining room later and the birthing room. Let's go. Come on.
Isabella: Oh, ok.

Brooke: Joe! Thank God. Laura passed out.
Joe: Take her into cubicle one.
Brooke: We -- she missed a dose of her meds, and we were on our way home to get them and --
Leo: Then she started having -- she had chest pains and she started having trouble breathing.
Joe: Start her on oxygen. Notify attending and radiology. We need a portable chest.
Brooke: I called David. I told him to meet us here.
Joe: But, Brooke, we have a staff cardiologist on call.
Brooke: David is her doctor.
Joe: I know, but David is -- has lost his privileges here. Believe me, Laura will get the best possible care, but not from --
Leo: I don't give a damn about your policy. My wife is sick and David can save her. Get him here! I'm going to kill anybody who gets in his way.

Jack: Well, little missy, I want you to know that you pulled me out of a very important meeting which I've had to reschedule at a very inconvenient time now.
Erica: Jack, I had no choice. This is very serious.
Jack: Yes, so you say. And here I am at your beck and call, as usual. So, what's going on?
Erica: Jack, do you remember when I asked you to run a background check on Chris Stamp?
Jack: Yes. Do you remember when I told you I didn't have time?
Erica: Well, make time, Jackson, because I have even more questions about this man now.
Jack: Because?
Erica: Because I believe that he is practically stalking me. Jack, truly, I need you to drop everything you're doing. I need you to find out where does he come from and what was he doing before and does he have a record.
Jack: Erica, if this guy bothers you that much --
Erica: He does.
Jack: Then why do a background check on him at all? Why not just hand him a pink slip?
Erica: Fire him?
Jack: Yes.
Erica: No, Jack. I mean, that's not an option.
Jack: Really? And why is that? Is there something going on between the two of you?

Ryan: "Gillian Maria Eugenia Andrassy Lavery." It's so cold in here. You always hated the cold. I -- ahem -- I brought you a gardenia. Which I guess is pretty stupid because you're not here anymore, but --

Gillian: Yes, I am.

Ryan: We never got a chance to say good-bye, Gillian, so this is it. I've got no reason to stick around here anymore, so I'm leaving and I -- I'm not coming back.

Gillian: No, you can't!
Gillian: Please, I have to get through to Ryan. He can't move away.
Jesse: If the man wants to leave, you can't stop him.
Gillian: No, you're wrong. I have to make him stop.

Ryan: I can't cry anymore.

Gillian, I'm sorry.
Gillian: Jesse, just listen to him.
Jesse: Yeah, he is tweaking.
Gillian: Yeah, but wouldn't it just get worse if he runs away? I mean, he'll be even more alone, and who knows what he will do.
Jesse: Yeah, he has done some pretty stupid things lately, hasn't he?
Gillian: Yeah. Like sleeping with Liza.
Jesse: Yeah. People do some really, really crazy things when they're grieving.
Gillian: But that's why they need to have their friends around. Jesse, I can follow him anywhere, but he needs to have his friends around him right now.
Jesse: I can't argue with that.
Gillian: So what do I do? How can I make him stay?
Jesse: Well, think about it. How are you still connected?
Gillian: To Ryan?
Jesse: To everybody.
Gillian: My heart, I guess.
Jesse: You guess?
Gillian: That's -- that's what I have to do?
Jesse: Give it a shot.

Joe: Leo, threatening me is not helpful.
Leo: And keeping David away from Laura is? He can help her!
Edmund: Joe, Joe, these are special circumstances.
Brooke: You can make an exception, right?
Joe: Yes, I can.
Leo: Hold -- hold on a second. Doesn't the hospital board have the final say on what happens to David?
Joe: Yes, they do, but for the time being David is officially suspended. Now, if he's brought back in the case, he'll have to be overseen by a staff cardiologist.
Leo: Fine! Let them look over his shoulder if they want to! He could probably teach them a thing or two! You know, he is the one that put Gillian's heart in Laura to save her!
Joe: Yes, I know he is, and I'll always be grateful to David for that -- in spite of other feelings I may have about him.
Leo: So you'll let him do his job?
Joe: I think he's using you people. I'll allow it.
Brooke: Thank you.

Adam: Come on, Liza. Liza, please, please pick up. Please.

David: Hello, Adam. Don't you know you're not supposed to be using cell phones in a hospital?
Adam: Get out of my face, Hayward.
David: With pleasure. I just want to thank you, Adam. Because of you, I'm a free man.
Adam: Yeah, well -- and what did I get in return?
David: Well, you got what you bargained for, Adam. Your son's record is squeaky clean, right?
Adam: I got a lot more than I bargained for. Liza found out what I did to get your charges dropped.
David: Well, if you were stupid enough to admit that to her --
Adam: Don't be an idiot. Judge Campobello came on to me again after the trial. I had to fight her off with a stick. Liza overheard us.
David: And that's my fault?
Adam: Every bit of this mess is your fault.
David: Adam, we had a deal -- you keep me out of jail and I do the same thing for your son. If you messed up your marriage, you did that all on your own. You'll have to excuse me. I have to go save a life.

Marian: What's the big rush to find Liza? Is she in some kind of trouble?
Mia: Well, I don't know. How do you feel about adultery? Her husband found her in bed with Ryan Lavery.
Marian: Oh, my God.
Mia: Yeah. I guess it was just payback, though, because, you know, he did the same thing. Something about bribing some lady judge or something.

Stuart: That's the judge who kissed me.
Marian: Oh, Stuart --
Stuart: I -- she thought I was Adam, and she kissed me. That's when I knew Adam had done something.
Marian: Oh, Darling, look, can we talk about this later? We have a guest. Mia, this is my husband, Stuart. And, Stuart, this is Mia, the girl I was telling you about, Larry's daughter.
Stuart: It's nice to meet you, Mia.
Mia: Thanks.
Stuart: It was very brave of you coming forward the way you did.
Mia: Yeah. Brave or stupid -- I'm not sure which.
Stuart: Liza was sure surprised. Finding out she -- that she had a half sister? But -- well, anyway, you're family now, and I'm glad everybody knows it. Aren't you glad?
Marian: Oh, of course. Yes.
Mia: Speaking of Liza, you haven't seen her, have you?
Stuart: No. No, I'm sorry, I haven't. Is -- is it important?
Mia: Yeah, to me. Your daughter owes me some money.

[Phone rings]

Mia: Oh. Excuse me. Hello?
Adam: Ok. Where the hell are you?

Erica: Do you want me to tell you one more time? No, absolutely not.
Jack: Ok. There's nothing going on between you. So you're just, what, obsessed with this guy?
Erica: I am not obsessed!
Jack: Erica, you talk about this guy incessantly.
Erica: Because there is a lot going on underneath the surface.
Jack: You mean he's not just a janitor that you've elevated to the position of personal chauffeur?
Erica: No. I mean, that's what I thought when I first saw him.
Jack: And now?
Erica: Now I don't know. I mean, he's rough and he's crude. And what does he do this morning? He makes me an omelet.
Jack: Well, that's not good.
Erica: It gets worse.
Jack: Oh.
Erica: The omelet was heavenly.
Jack: You got to fire this guy.
Erica: You think he's up to something? Jack: Of course he's up to something. He's making omelets, for God's sake.
Erica: But if he wanted to hurt me, then why did he save Bianca and me from that fire?
Jack: Maybe because your gratitude is something he can use, like, as leverage?
Erica: I don't think he's that calculating. I mean, I don't know what I think, really. I mean, there I -- I ask him simple questions. I never get a straight answer.
Jack: And that intrigues you, doesn't it?
Erica: I guess.
Jack: Well, maybe that gives him just a little room because your guard is down. Maybe that little bit of room is all he needs.
Erica: To do what?
Jack: Exactly. Exactly. Maybe this guy is a corporate spy.
Erica: Jack --
Jack: Maybe -- maybe he's trying to rip off your spring collection. Such a thing can happen. It's possible, you know?
Erica: Then you'll do it?
Jack: Do what?
Erica: You'll investigate him for me.
Jack: While you're still employing this guy? That's insane, Erica.

[Knock on door]

Greenlee: Sorry, sorry. Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?
Erica: You mean like your deadline, Greenlee? Greenlee, you promised that you would have the new design for the lipstick case here today.
Greenlee: The design. Right. Right. It just came in today.
Erica: Well, then, where is it?
Greenlee: Probably in the park.
Erica: What?
Greenlee: I took the shortcut through the park, and I ran into Laura English. She was having some kind of attack. So I did everything I could to save her. She's in the hospital now. But while I was being an angel of mercy, I think it probably dropped out of my portfolio.
Erica: Don't you mean your dog ate it? Look, Greenlee, just have that design for the new lipstick case on my desk tomorrow morning at 8:00 A.M.

Roger: Well, sounds like somebody's cracking the whip.
Greenlee: Daddy. What are you doing here?
Ger: Just here to check up on my little girl.
Erica: Well, your little girl has work to do.
Roger: I'm glad to hear it. How are you, Erica? You are looking exceptionally beautiful today.
Erica: I'm fine, Roger.
Roger: Good. Then I guess looks aren't deceiving after all.

Mia: Uh -- I'm sorry. I can't really talk right now.
Adam: Don't you try to blow me off, young lady. You owe me. You've already stood me up once. Don't try it again.
Mia: I'm busy.
Adam: Oh. Looking into David Hayward, are you? Hmm? Like I asked you to? I don't think so. Because you're there and David Hayward is here at the hospital playing God again. Listen, you meet me outside the ER entrance in 10 minutes.

Marian: Everything all right?
Mia: Uh -- yeah, yeah. If you speak to Liza, will you tell her I'm looking for her, please?
Stuart: Yeah. I -- I hope -- I hope everything works out all right for you. I mean that.
Mia: You really do, don't you?
Stuart: Sure.
Mia: All right. I'll see you around, Stuart. Marian.
Marian: Bye.
Stuart: Bye.
[Door closes]

Stuart: I don't understand. Has David Hayward spiked everybody's drinks again?
Marian: Well, apparently Liza and Adam don't need drugs to go out of their minds.
Stuart: I want to trust everyone. Does that make me stupid?
Marian: Oh, no, Stuart, of course not.
Stuart: I really thought that Adam had learned something -- that it's -- that it's always better to tell the truth than to lie. I guess he was just fooling me again.
Marian: Oh, Stuart, you always believe in him, don't you?
Stuart: But I didn't help him, did I? What's it going to take for Adam to learn? Is he going to have to lose Liza?

Mateo: Hey, what are you doing? Is something wrong?
Dr. Clader: Everything is fine.
Mateo: What, are you making her walk to the birthing room?
Hayley: Honey, our baby's not ready to make its grand entrance into the world yet.
Mateo: But you're having contractions.
Dr. Clader: Yeah, but they're not regular yet or strong enough. That's perfectly normal for a first baby.
Adam: So this was a false alarm?
Dr. Clader: Not at all. No, the baby's on its way. You just got here a little early.
Mateo: Oh. Should we go back home and then --
Dr. Clader: No, no, no. That's a wasted trip. I'd take Hayley up to the birthing room now and you-all could hang out for a while, but all the rooms are full at the moment.
Adam: Oh. What do we do in the meantime?
Dr. Clader: I suggest that you find a nice, quiet corner, maybe practice some breathing exercises, huh?
Hayley: You talking to me or Mateo?

[Dr. Clader chuckles]

Mateo: Very funny.

Adam: Doctor, I know Hayley's being very brave, but I sense she's hurting. Isn't there something you could give her to ease the pain a bit?
Dr. Clader: Mr. Chandler, when we discussed her options, she asked for an epidural, and we'll give it to her as soon as the contractions get stronger.
Adam: Well, why not now?
Dr. Clader: Because it would slow down the labor, maybe even stop it, and that's dangerous.
Adam: So my daughter just has to suffer?
Dr. Clader: Mr. Chandler, she's going to be fine. Now, if you'll excuse me.
V Edmund: How's Laura?
Brooke: David's doing a workup now so he can see what's going on.
Leo: Here's what's going on -- I screwed up. I should've made sure that she took her pills.
Brooke: Leo, don't blame yourself. It's not anybody's fault. You have been great about helping Laura keep on a regular schedule.
Leo: But she misses once, Brooke, and look what happens.
Brooke: We don't even know if that's what's caused the problem.
Leo: Just tell me that she's going to make it.
Brooke: She will. She will.

Ryan: Gilly, wherever you are, this is for you. But it's not going to last. Nothing does. If I could just -- if I could just see your face one more time -- but that's not going to happen, is it?

Gillian: Ryan? Ryan, it's my heart, and there's a problem. Can you help me?

Ryan: Princess?

Gillian: Please, Ryan.

Ryan: Oh, my God.

Gillian: I did it.
Jesse: Looks that way.
Gillian: So, what now?
Jesse: Now we go after another piece of the puzzle.

Adam: What took you so long?
Mia: Would you stop griping? I'm here, aren't I?
Adam: What about my 100 grand, and why didn't you bring it to me at the yacht?
Mia: Well, I stopped by, but you didn't really notice me. You were too busy trying to kill the guy who was sleeping with your wife.
Adam: That's none of your business. Do you have my money or don't you?
Mia: Yeah. Everything's in line. I just kind of hit a little snag, that's all.
Adam: Right, right. A little snag. I don't want to hear about that. You don't have my money, that means you owe me, you still owe me. Now, I want to know what you know about the upcoming meeting of the hospital board, about Hayward's privileges.
Mia: Uh -- well, the word is, is that Hayward's out.
Adam: Are you brain-dead or what? I'm talking about what -- about what Hayward is planning -- what sort of a last-ditch effort that psycho is planning to get his job back.
Mia: He hasn't really said.
Adam: Well, then why don't you try to draw him out, find out what he's up to?
Mia: Yeah, well, I guess I really don't have a choice, do I?
Adam: No. I'm glad you understand that. Come on.
Mia: Wait a second. Where are we going now?
Adam: Your target is at the hospital. You're going to see your new friend.
Mia: My God --

Leo: Why isn't David back with the test results? Why is this taking so long?
Brooke: Why don't you go in and sit with Laura, ok, in case she wakes up?
Leo: Yeah, ok.

Bianca: Brooke --
Brooke: Bianca, what are you doing here?
Bianca: I heard about Laura. How is she?
Brooke: We don't know yet. They're running some tests. Leo is in with her now.
Bianca: Good old Leo.
Brooke: Please don't start with that again, all right? This is really none of your concern.
Bianca: I try to tell myself that, but I care about Laura too much. How is she going to feel when she figures this out?
Brooke: What?
Bianca: That Leo is pretending to love her. Brooke, you know that he doesn't love her, and yet you're willing to use him.
Brooke: Bianca, these things were offensive when you said them before. What makes you think that now would be the time to repeat them?

Brooke: Did you hear any of that?
Edmund: Some of it.
Brooke: Do you think that I'm using Leo?
Edmund: I know he cares about Laura.
Brooke: Well, I'm not paying him to do that, you know.
Edmund: Why did you give him a job at "Tempo"?
Brooke: You know why. You ok'd it. I'm very glad that you are here with me today. I really appreciate it, but -- but --
Edmund: Back off?
Brooke: Edmund, just, you know, let my daughter get well, ok, and then you can question my motives all you want.

Leo's voice: Feel ok?
Laura's voice: Like I'm dancing on a cloud.
Leo's voice: Good.
Laura's voice: Hey, can we sit this one out? I want to give your toes a break.
Leo: Yeah.
Laura: Do you mind if I do something?
Leo: This is your night.
Laura: Just now when we were dancing, I had my head against your chest, I could hear your heart beating. It -- it sounded so strong and so comforting.
Leo: There it is. There's my heart.

Laura: Hey.
Leo: Hey.
Laura: I was afraid I'd never see you again.
Leo: No. Sorry, looks like you're going to live.
Laura: That's not what I meant. I mean, here we are again in the hospital. I'm your invalid wife. Why shouldn't you head for the hills?
Leo: Ok, Laura, you're not my invalid wife. You're going to get better soon. And, b, do you really think that I would leave you while you're sick?

Ryan: Brooke, where is she?
Brooke: Who? Laura?
Ryan: Gillian's heart -- something's wrong. What is it?

Erica: Roger, would you like to be alone for a moment with your daughter?
Roger: You don't mind?
Erica: No, not at all. Please, you use my office.
Roger: Thank you.
Erica: Ok. And, Jack, I'll walk you out.
Jack: Oh, yeah, yeah. Mr. Smith, always a -- Smythe, always a pleasure, really. Greenlee.
Greenlee: Bye.

Greenlee: Daddy, this is kind of weird, you showing up here like this.
Roger: I hope I didn't embarrass you. You know what? I -- I scraped together another payment.
Greenlee: Oh, you don't have to do this, really.
Roger: Oh, but I do.
Greenlee, I misused your trust fund, and I want to pay you back what I owe you. I just wish I could do it in one lump sum, but for now --
Greenlee: Thanks. I'd love to stay and chat, but I promised a friend that I'd visit her in the hospital.
Roger: Ok, well, some other time, then.
Greenlee: Sounds good.
Roger: By the way, the software program that I gave you, you know, for your -- for your inventory problem - how's that going?
Greenlee: Seems fine.
Roger: Good. I'm glad.

Roger: Excuse me, Buddy.
Chris: Don't call me "Buddy," ok, pal?

Gillian: So this is part of the puzzle?
Jesse: Just keep listening.

Roger: No offense intended. "Buddy's" a friendly expression.
Chris: Well, to me, "Buddy's" the kind of name you give to a dog, not to a person.
Roger: You know, I feel the same way about "Fido."
Chris: Do you, now?
Roger: My apologies.
Chris: Yeah.

Erica: Hello, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Ms. Kane.
Erica: I think it's time for us to have a friendly chat. Don't you?
Chris: Don't you think it's kind of late in the day to be having a little friendly chat?
Erica: Oh, no, I don't agree. I think it's the perfect time of day. I mean, we're finished with our work, and so we can finally unwind. Is sparkling water all right for you?
Chris: Sure, if you don't have anything else.
Erica: Sorry, I'm fresh out of beer.
Chris: How do you know what I would like?
Erica: I don't. As a matter of fact, I really don't know much about you at all. So why don't you sit down. Why don't you tell me all about yourself.
Chris: Oh, thank you. Well, you asked me this question before. My answer's still the same -- there's really not much to tell.
Erica: I'm not sure I believe you.
Chris: Listen, if we're going to be swapping life stories, shouldn't we be on a first-name basis?
Erica: Not necessarily.
Chris: Ah, so this is the inquisition after all.
Erica: No, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Ah, back to "Mr. Stamp," is it? Is that how I'm supposed to remember my place?
Erica: We work together. It's really not meant as an insult.
Chris: You're sure about that?
Erica: Yes, I'm very sure.
Chris: Really? So this is you, what, just being protective?
Erica: Not really.
Chris: Keeping your distance?
Erica: If you like.
Chris: I don't like. That's the point. I mean, come on. I feel like I'm trapped in some kind of a time warp here with all of this formality. When -- why don't you just give it a try? Bend a little. You call me Chris, and we can start from there.
Erica: I don't think so.
Chris: Ok, lady boss, have it your way, but if you ever change your mind --
Erica: I won't.
Chris: You might.
Erica: You know, you are so exasperating, you're impossible. Then I'll let you know, ok?
Chris: Good! I can wait! Don't you want to know why?
Erica: No, I'd rather know why you're here.
Chris: Excuse me?
Erica: Why Enchantment?
Chris: Why Enchantment what?
Erica: Isn't it a very unlikely place for a man's man like you to be working? I mean, to look at you, I would think that you'd be much more comfortable working with your hands, outdoors.
Chris: Oh, you mean like trapping bears and rasslin' alligators?
Erica: Something like that.
Chris: Ok, Ms. Kane. Look -- you offered me a job. I took it. That's why I'm here. Before that I was -- I was a janitor. I was very happy being a janitor. And -- oh. And the last time I was in this office vacuuming -- come here, come here, come here, come here -- I saw some loose wires on your computer right there. See that? And nobody's fixed it. That could be a problem.
Erica: I'll have someone fix it tomorrow.
Chris: Well, I wouldn't wait too long. You get a power surge, your computer crashes, and then you lose all your data. Finis. Finished. Gone.
Erica: Mr. Stamp, for heaven's sakes --

[Intercom buzzes]

Erica: Yes, hello. Yes, Val, what is it? Yes, Val, of course I know that we're running behind. That's because Greenlee Smythe failed to bring in her -- her new design for the lipstick case that she promised to bring in today. No. No, val. That's just a preliminary sketch. That's all that -- you know what? Never mind. I'm coming out there. I'll -- I'll take care of it myself. Look, would you please just forget about the computer. And I'll be right back.
Chris: Ok.

Ryan: So, what happened after Laura collapsed?
Leo: Burned rubber getting here.
Brooke: We're just waiting for test results, Ryan.
Ryan: David, what's going on? Is Laura all right?
What's -- David: Laura is fine. She had a brief arrhythmia.
Leo: Is it because she didn't take her meds?
David: We're calling it idiopathic, which is doctor-ese for "we don't know." The interrupted meds could've triggered it, or it could be stress.
Leo: How serious is it?
David: Bottom line -- it's not that serious. But Laura needs to slow down.
Ryan: And the heart -- it's not damaged?
Joe: All her test results are normal. Laura received a wonderful gift. It's doing everything we hoped for.

Mateo: I'll see if I can find a doctor.
Hayley: Oh, Dr. Clader -- listen, I think my labor's progressing.
Dr. Clader: Oh. Well, let's check you out right now and see whether you're any more dilated.
Mateo: She has to be. She's been having contraction after contraction over there, and -- come on, can we do this without a crowd?
Hayley: Mateo, please --
Dr. Clader: Actually, one of the rooms is opening up right now. We're getting it ready for you.
Mateo: Finally.
Dr. Clader: But before we go upstairs, let's -- let's have another look, huh?
Mateo: All right. I'll be waiting for you.

Adam: Make them give you the epidural.
Isabella: They'll give it to her when the time is right. Oh, maybe sooner than we think. Aren't you excited? You're going to be a Tia. Tia Rosa. What's the matter? Is something wrong?
Rosa: No, I -- I guess it's just I don't like hospitals, even when it's for a good thing.

Gillian: I'm so glad Ryan knows my heart's going to be all right.
Jesse: Mm-hmm.
Gillian: That's not why you brought me here, is it?
Jesse: Not exactly
Gillian: Then why did you?
Jesse: Shh. Watch.

Mia: Hey, Buddy. Looks like you got some good news for a change.
Ryan: You know what? That's enough. You know my name. Use it, all right? I don't want you calling me "Buddy" or anything else. You understand me?

Chris: Now look I've narrowed it down to this guy Roger Smythe and his daughter Greenlee. Well, because she started to work here about the same time all this came down. Yeah, well, it might be a coincidence, but -- no. Look -- look, I'll call you back when I got more to go on. Right, ok. Bye.

Chris: I called a computer whiz friend of mine and see if he could help, but no can do.
Erica: I told you not to bother with it, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: I can do it, Ms. Kane. Erica: Mr. Stamp, I need --
Erica: Mr. Stamp, I don't believe that you've been honest with me. Not at all.
Chris: You're right. I've been lying to you since day one.

Ryan: Well, I'm not staying on the yacht anymore, so I'm heading out of here, leaving town.
Mia: Oh, so you're -- you're hitting the road, then?
Ryan: I was. But maybe I just changed my mind.

Gillian: Jesse, did you hear that? He's staying!
Jesse: Well, I think it's finally sinking in that Laura's alive because of you --
Gillian: And?
Jesse: And that your spirit is still here.
Gillian: And you know what else?
Jesse: No, what?
Gillian: See, I just figured this out.
Jesse: No.
Gillian: You know this guy that we saw at Erica's office --
Jesse: Mm-hmm.
Gillian: Chris?
Jesse: Mm-hmm. What about him?
Gillian: He got real insulted when somebody called him "Buddy," and just now Ryan did, too.
Jesse: Ooh --
Gillian: So that means the two of them -- they must be connected.
Jesse: Well, smell you, Sherlock. Hallelujah. Well, now that you got all that put together, what are you going to do with it?

Laura: Oh. Hey, you guys.
Brooke: Oh. How are you feeling?
Laura: Oh, much better. Just ready to go home.
Brooke: Joe's signing you out right now.
Laura: Well, what about David? I wanted to thank him.
Brooke: I think he left, Honey, but you can thank him the next time you talk to him.
Laura: But you know what really kept me going? Having Leo next to me.
Leo: Aw.
Edmund: I'm going to check on Hayley, ok?
Brooke: Edmund, thanks.
Edmund: You're welcome.
Brooke: All right. I'll catch up with you later.
Edmund: Later.
Brooke: All right.

Edmund: Hey. Well --
Dr. Clader: The baby is tired of hanging around. It's time to greet the world.
Mateo: All right.
Dr. Clader: No more delays. We're going to the birthing room. You can follow me up there and --
Hayley: What does that mean exactly, "no more delays"? I mean, is the baby coming too quickly? Is there a problem?
Dr. Clader: No, no, no, no. There's none. We just need to monitor you more closely --
Hayley: Why?
Dr. Clader: You and the baby -- when I examined you, you were hooked up to the fetal monitor. The baby's heart rate dropped when you had a contraction.
Hayley: Oh, my God.
Dr. Clader: It's all right. It's all right.
Hayley: Is there a problem?
Dr. Clader: No, there isn't.
Hayley: Do something.
Dr. Clader: We are, ok? Just stay calm, ok? Everything's going to be fine.

Dr. Clader: We got to get this baby out now.
