ALL MY CHILDREN

AUGUST 6, 2001

Chris: Let me go!
Tad: Take it easy!
Mateo: Not before you give us some answers!
Chris: You know what kind of trouble you get for assaulting an officer?
Tad: Yeah, well, all we've got is your word for that, don't we, pal? Sit him up. Sit him up! Dixie, call Derek, ok? Get him down here as quickly as possible.
Chris: My ID's in my pocket. Check it! Check it!
Tad: All right, all right. Don't do anything. Check his pocket.
Dixie: Don't -- don't move, ok? Just --
Mateo: I'll bet you his name is not Stamp.
Dixie: Uh -- no. His name is Stamp, but he's not a police officer.
Tad: I guess you're busted, big boy.
Dixie: Tad, Mr. Stamp is a federal agent.
Chris: Back off!

Isabella: What flavor do you want?
Rosa: Oh, no. None for me, thanks.
Isabella: Rosa, are you on another diet? Oh, it's the same thing every bathing suit season. I'd like two quarts of ice cream -- one chocolate, one peach -- and a bunch of plastic spoons, please.
Bartender: Sure. Coming right up.
Isabella: Thank you. You starve yourself to fit into six inches of fabric. You know that?
Rosa: Oh, come on, Mami. Don't start.
Isabella: Mm-hmm. You can't live on cottage cheese and air.
Rosa: Very funny.
Isabella: Well, you have a lovely figure. I can't believe my baby's so grown-up.
Rosa: Oh, Mami.
Isabella: You want to look good for this young man, don't you? This Marcus -- do you like him?
Rosa: Yeah.
Isabella: Well, we'll have him over to the house.
Rosa: Who?
Isabella: Marcus and his parents, of course.
Rosa: Oh, no, Mami. You don't have to do that.
Marcus: I think that's a great idea.
Rosa: Hey. I didn't see you there.
Marcus: Yeah, well, I'm picking up takeout for my mom. I figured I'd give her a break from the hot stove.
Marcus: Rosa, please introduce us.
Rosa: Oh, I'm sorry. Mami, you remember Marcus.
Marcus: Yes, it's a pleasure to see you again, Mrs. Santos.
Isabella: Why, thank you. Tell me, Marcus, do your parents like Mexican food?
Marcus: Oh, it is their favorite.
Isabella: Mm-hmm.
Marcus: Mine, too.
Isabella: We'll have them over to the house. Did I tell you Rosa's a great cook?
Rosa: Oh, Mami, that's --
Isabella: Yeah, she is. And her empanadas are lighter than mine. She makes them much better than I do.
Marcus: Well, my order's up. And it was a pleasure seeing you again, Mrs. Santos.
Isabella: Thank you. Tell your mom we'll be in touch.
Marcus: I will. Rosa, I'll call you.
Rosa: Ok. Deal. Bye.

Isabella: He seems like a very nice young man.
Rosa: He is.
Isabella: Yeah.
Rosa: Yeah.
Isabella: Ooh, ice cream's here. Ice cream.
Edmund: Me Toca a Mi --
Isabella: Oh, no, no. Me, Toca a mi, no empieces, no empieces. Como siempre, no, no --
Edmund: Oh, chocolate for Sam and peach for Maddie.
Isabella: I hope you don't mind. Por supuesto. Tu sabes como yo soy --
Edmund: That's what abuelas are for.
Isabella: Aye, gracias.

Edmund: Oh, excuse me. You haven't officially met Anna.
Anna: Hi.
Rosa: Hi.
Isabella: We read about her in the newspaper.
Edmund: This is my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law.
Anna: Yes.
Edmund: Isabella, Rosa, this is Anna Devane.
Rosa: Hello again.
Anna: Hi.
Rosa: We -- we actually met at Laura and Leo's party.
Anna: Nice to see you.
Rosa: Yeah, you, too.
Isabella: Oh, we have to go before the ice cream melts.
Edmund: Oh. Yeah.
Rosa: Bye.
Edmund: Have fun.
Rosa: Nice seeing you again.
Anna: Bye.

Anna: Ooh. She was as chilly as her ice cream.
Edmund: Well, you know, you're going to have to excuse her because no matter how much time goes by, in her eyes, I'm always going to be Maria's husband.

Brooke: Hi.
Edmund: Hey.
Brooke: Listen, please tell me that you've already eaten so I don't feel like a total crumb.
Edmund: We've already eaten.
Anna: Yeah, we've already eaten.
Brooke: Oh, good. All right. The printers want to put "Tempo" to bed a day early.
Edmund: Why?
Brooke: Why? Because there's an upcoming labor dispute, so it's go to press tomorrow or risk not going to press at all.
Edmund: I haven't finished doing the edits on the offshore oil piece.
Brooke: I've taken the liberty. So if you approve, I will just overnight those to the printer.
Edmund: Ok. It's too noisy in here. I'm going to check these outside.
Brooke: Ok.
Edmund: Ladies, excuse me. Sit.
Brooke: Oh, thanks. All right.

Anna: How's Laura doing?
Brooke: Oh, great, thank you. Thank you. Edmund tells me that you went to visit your daughter, Robin, in New York.
Anna: Oh, it was wonderful. We had a great time. Daughters are so delightful, aren't they, at this age?
Brooke: Absolutely. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your dinner date with Edmund.
Anna: It was just dinner. It wasn't a date. Have you asked him out yet?
Brooke: I'm sorry?
Anna: Don't play coy with me. He's free, you're unattached. What the hell are you waiting for?

Gabriel: What's wrong?
Bianca: Gabriel --
Gabriel: You're only the second girl I've kissed. Please don't tell me it was that bad.
Bianca: No -- no, it's -- it's not that. You know I'm gay, right?
Gabriel: Yeah.
Bianca: And -- and you know what that means?
Gabriel: That means that you like girls.
Bianca: Right. And you've been drinking, and I'm just the closest warm body. What about Rosa?
Gabriel: I like her, but she thinks I'm dirt.
Bianca: Drinking doesn't help, does it? Gabriel, has anyone ever held you, told you that they love you?
Gabriel: My mother.
Bianca: But she died when you were very young. After that, when you were taken to Bryn Wydd, didn't anybody ever just hold you, make you feel safe?

Ryan: Opal? Gilly? What are you doing?
Opal: I'm home. I'm finally home. The feel of the bedspread, the smell of your after-shave. Oh, Ryan, do you remember the last time I was here?
Ryan: Like it was yesterday.
Opal: Yes, we had just made love. And -- and I was packing to go on our Honeymoon, and you left to get your passport. I called Stella at Wildwind to ask you to bring Grandmama's trunk down from the attic. I wanted to borrow her royal gown to take it home to Vadzel.
Ryan: Princess, that is exactly what happened.
Opal: Oh, Ry. I love you so much. Ryan: Gilly, I love you, too. I can't believe that you're here, that it's you, that you -- that you came back to me.
Opal: I am here, Ryan. I'm real. Feel me. Touch me.
[Opal looks at her reflection]

Opal: It isn't me. It isn't me at all.
Opal: It wasn't supposed to be like this. They told me I could come back. But where's my body? Ryan, where am I?
Ryan: Gilly, they told me that you were gone. I gave your heart to Laura, and they interred your body in -- in the mausoleum at Wildwind. The doctors told me that you were brain-dead and that you couldn't survive without life support and that Laura wouldn't -- wouldn't make it without a transplant. Leo begged me. He begged me to --
Opal: It's all right. It's all right, Baby. You did the right thing.
Ryan: I didn't want to let you go. I kept talking to you. And I waited for you to open your eyes and say my name again. But finally, I had to let you go.
Opal: You saved Laura's life.
Ryan: I don't care about Laura. I couldn't save you. I -- I couldn't save you. I couldn't save your life, the woman that I love.
Opal: The Gillian that you knew doesn't exist anymore.
Ryan: That's not true. You're here. I can feel you.
Opal: But it isn't me.
Ryan: I fell in love with your spirit. I fell in love with your soul.
Opal: Do you still love me, Ryan?
Ryan: I will love you, Princess, until the day I die.

Bianca: I'm sorry, I -- I know you have a thing about being touched.
Gabriel: No, it's ok. I'm getting used to it.
Bianca: Come here. Gabriel, I really hate that this happened to you. But, you know, I was -- I was kind of in a cage, too, myself when I was gay and nobody knew it.
Gabriel: No, but you could have opened that door whenever you wanted to.
Bianca: Right. That's right. And you don't have to carry around your cage anymore, either. You can be whoever you want to be now. You can love whoever you want to love.
Gabriel: Yeah, as long as it's not you.
Bianca: Well, you can love me, as a friend.
Gabriel: Ok, friend, let me ask you something.
Bianca: Anything.
Gabriel: All right. Now, you say you don't like guys, but how do you know? I mean, have you ever, you know, done anything with anyone?
Bianca: Oh. Last fall, I was really, really mixed up about everything and I wanted to see if I could be straight, so I got totally drunk and, I mean, really wasted. And I came on to this guy.
Gabriel: And who was it?
Bianca: Gabriel, don't hate me. It was Marcus.

Tad: You really are a Fed.
Chris: And you're on my list of 10 most wanted.
Mateo: Listen, he didn't kill that kid, Sweeney.
Tad: That's why we arranged this. We thought you did it and set me up.
Chris: Yeah, well, you thought wrong.

[Sirens]

Dixie: Oh, my God, Tad, the cops!
Mateo: Tad, the keys are in the car. Go, go, go, go!
Dixie: No, no, this way!

[Sirens]

Chris: Where you running off to, Martin? Don't move!
Tad: I didn't kill Sweeney. I was set up. I'm innocent.
Chris: I'm not here to arrest you, ok?
Tad: Yeah, well, what's with your police escort?
Chris: Shut up and listen!
Dixie: The sirens are -- are fading. They're headed -- they're headed away.
Chris: If I let you up, you promise not to cut and run? Not that I'm not a trusting kind of guy -- Mateo, why don't you run and get the car keys, ok?

Dixie: Are you ok? Are you all right?
Tad: I don't think I'm going to be singing any high notes.
Chris: Yeah, well as far as acts go, yours was strictly amateur, ok?
Tad: Thanks for the critique.
Chris: You stop being a jerk, huh? Especially after I just saved your butt.
Tad: I'll send you a thank-you note from prison.
Chris: Look, this is not a bust. In case you missed the point, I didn't call for backup.
Mateo: Yeah, well, why didn't you do that?
Chris: Because I don't believe your fugitive friend here killed Sweeney.
Dixie: You think Tad is innocent?
Chris: I'm leaning that way.
Dixie: Tad, that's great. Agent Stamp can call Derek then and use his clout to get you off.
Chris: Can't do that.

Brooke: I had my chance with Edmund a long time ago. We were in love, and I hurt him.
Anna: I -- I don't pry, I really --
Brooke: No, it's a very simple story. I had a choice to make. It was either marry Tad and let my son grow up knowing his father or being selfish and going with Edmund.
Anna: That's classic -- follow your head or your heart.
Brooke: Anyway, my marriage to Tad was very short-lived. He was still in love with Dixie, you know. He always had been, so --
Anna: But haven't you ever wondered what it would have been like had you chosen Edmund?
Brooke: I had my chance. You know? There's -- there's too much history between the two of us now.
Anna: That is such a crock, and you know it, Brooke.
Brooke: I beg your pardon?
Anna: Well, I'm sorry. I mean, look at me. You know, I've been presumed dead all these years, but I survived. And now I'm getting my memory back and I'm getting my life back. I've reconnected with my daughter. There is the slimmest chance that my husband might still be alive. So to hell with the past. I am fighting to put together all I've lost now. Wouldn't you want to do the same thing?

Gabriel: You messed around with Marcus?
Bianca: No.
Gabriel, it was just kissing. And then I caught a case of the giggles and laughed in his face. It was a major blow to his ego.
Gabriel: Well, I'm sorry, I really don't care about his ego. Did he hurt you?
Bianca: No. You don't believe Shannon's story, do you?
Gabriel: That her father beat her up? No. For some reason, Rosa believes it, and she seems to think Marcus is a God.
Bianca: It's hard, isn't it -- loving someone when they don't love you back?
Gabriel: Who am I to love anyone?
Bianca: Gabriel, you have just as much right as anybody else. And when you're around Rosa, she makes you feel like --
Gabriel: Like someone --

[Door opens]

Rosa: Sam, Maddie, where are you?

Shannon: You're late.
Marcus: Why did you call me, Shannon?
Shannon: You owe me. I've come to collect.

Opal: I want you to make love to me, Ryan. I don't know how long this will last, but as long as I'm here on earth, I can feel your kisses, I can feel your skin against mine. Make love to me, Ryan, before it's too late.

Jesse: Now, you want to step back and keep your hands where I can see them?

Ryan: Gillian, what's wrong?
Opal: I just got the feeling we're not alone

Jesse: Have you completely lost your mind? What are you doing in Opal's body? Opal: You don't have to worry. I know what I'm doing.
Ryan: I -- I'm sorry. It's just hard for me to wrap my mind around my princess being in somebody else's body.

Jesse: Where's Opal?
Opal: She's in here with me.

Ryan: Who, Opal? Well, can she hear me?
Jesse: Did you get her permission to invade her space?
Opal: Would you stop badgering me?

Ryan: I'm sorry.

Jesse: You know what? You about to make me jump all over you.
Opal: Oh, shut up!

Ryan: Gilly, I'm sorry. I --
Opal: I'm not talking to you.
Ryan: Well, there's no one else here. Is there?
Opal: You see? Now he thinks you're a poltergeist.

Jesse: Poltergeist? You get out of that body, or I will shut you down like you never dreamed.
Opal: Ok. Ok. You don't have to be so bossy.

Opal: Ryan. Whatever happens, Ryan, never forget that I love you. I will always, always love you.

Ryan: Gillian? Gilly, are you all right?

Gillian: I hope you're happy. I came this close to making love to my husband.

Opal: Gillian?
Gillian: Thank you, Opal. I'm sure you'll find everything just the way you left it.
Jesse: You cannot -- and I repeat, cannot -- ever take possession of somebody's body without their permission.
Gillian: Why not? She wasn't using it for anything too exciting. And it was my only chance to get through to Ryan.
Jesse: Look, you can save those sorry excuses for the man upstairs, all right?

Ryan: Gilly? Princess? Talk to me.
Opal: How in the Sam Hill did I end up here?

Bianca: I -- I just wanted to clear something up. Before, when Gabriel accused Marcus of hitting Shannon, he didn't do it to cause trouble or anything. He just did it because he cares about you and he really doesn't want to see you get hurt. Ok? I think I'm going to go check my messages.

Rosa: Um -- Gabriel, it wasn't exactly a secret that you liked me. I mean, I kind of took your hint at the boathouse when you kissed me and at SOS when you covered for me -- remember, when I blew up the cappuccino machine? But it just goes to show that you can be a really, really nice guy when you want to be.
Gabriel: But you still don't believe me about Marcus, do you?
Rosa: Look, it's -- Marcus wouldn't hurt me. You know, he -- he treats me with respect.
Gabriel: Yeah, and that's the way it should be. Rosa, there's no one like you. You deserve the best.
Rosa: How do you know that?
Gabriel: I just know it here.
Rosa: Um -- I better get back upstairs.
Bianca: Hey, guys, why don't we go to the beach. You know, we can build a fire by the water, and you guys can take a walk. And I think it's even a full moon tonight. Come on. What else is there to do on a hot summer night?
Rosa: Let me ask my mom.
Bianca: No. Why don't you leave her a note instead.

Shannon: I know you missed me. I can tell by the way you're kissing me.
Shannon: Does Rosa do this for you? Does she know what you like and how you like it?

Tad: Let me get this straight. You're a Fed, you think I'm innocent, that I didn't kill anybody, and you're not going to help clear my name?
Chris: Don't take it personal, Tad, but I'm running my own show. Right now, it's better if the world thinks you are the one who killed that kid, Sweeney.
Mateo: But he's a moving target.
Dixie: Every minute he's on the street, his life is in danger.
Chris: And the longer he's dodging bullets, the time that it's taking for the real killer to think he's gotten away with it. He'll get careless, I'll nab him, you'll walk.
Tad: Yeah, but it's not just about me. My family's at risk.
Chris: Look, Tad, Dixie and the kids are safe. The police are watching them. And if it'll make you happier, I'll arrange for one of my own team to act as backup, ok?
Tad: I'd appreciate it. I just wish that I could be there personally to keep an eye open, you know?
Chris: Well, you yourself said that Officer Sweeney has a score to settle with you. Now it's safer for you, for your family, and it's better for the investigation if I just have you lay low a little while longer.
Tad: But how much longer? I'm getting tired of sleeping with one eye open and eating fast food.
Dixie: Isn't there something you could do to keep him safe?
Chris: Well, if he'll cooperate, I'll set him up in a safe house.
Tad: How close are you to nailing this guy?
Chris: Close. But if I'm going to make a good collar, I'm going to need your help.
Mateo: Well, what can we do?
Chris: I need you to keep your mouth shut, not blow my cover. Now, lives will depend on that, including mine. Can I trust you?
Tad: Don't look at me. I never heard of you.
Dixie: Listen, can you just do me a favor? Can you wrap this up quick so my husband can get home?
Chris: I'll see what I can do. But in the meantime, I got to get back to work. I don't want my boss to get mad at me. A secure line. When I set things up, I'll give you a call. Ok?
Tad: Ok. Listen, wherever you set me up, can I get some room service?
Chris: What, is he serious?
Mateo: Good luck.

Tad: And you.
Dixie: What me?
Tad: What am I going to do with you? I told you not to come back here, not to take any more chances.
Dixie: Well, you told -- I thought you said you loved me.
Tad: That, too. Come here.
Dixie: Am I in trouble?
Tad: Yeah. You are in big trouble.

Brooke: Do I want to try and get back what I've lost?
Anna: I'm sorry. I'm -- I can be a bit pushy sometimes. I don't mean to --
Brooke: Can I ask you an equally blunt question?
Anna: Sure, yeah.
Brooke: Why are you encouraging me to pursue a relationship with Edmund? I mean, do you -- do you feel guilty
Anna: Guilty?
Brooke: For pulling away, for putting distance between the two of you.
Anna: Edmund is an amazing man. He's been incredibly supportive towards me.
Brooke: I think he's been more than supportive.
Anna: All right. Yes, we danced around the possibility that something romantic might happen between us.
Anna: Because there's every chance I'm not single.
Brooke: Well, single or not, you still have feelings for Edmund.
Anna: I wish him a world of happiness.
Brooke: And you see me as part of that world?
Anna: Yes, I do.

Edmund: Brooke, you're still the best editor in the world I've ever had.
Brooke: Oh.
Edmund: What's up?
Brooke: Thank you.
Edmund: What did I miss while I was gone?
Anna: Nothing. We were talking about this Truffaut retrospective at the criterion. Wonderful films. Nobody should miss them. Excuse me.

Brooke: So, do you want to?
Edmund: Want to what?
Brooke: Go to the movies. With me. On a date.

Mateo: So you're saying you know who's smuggling drugs into Pine Valley?
Chris: You asked too many questions, Mateo.
Mateo: We're in this together.
Chris: I don't think so.
Mateo: I keep your cover, you keep me informed.
Chris: The less you know, the better, all right?
Mateo: Listen, I live in this town. I have a wife, I'm going to have a kid soon. I have a right to know how safe it is.
Chris: Yeah, and what you don't know just might keep me alive, all right? Why don't you chew on this for a while -- those drugs, they're coming in through a legitimate business. Go make a phone call.
Mateo: What?
Chris: Go make a phone call.
Mateo: I don't need to make a phone call. I'll make a phone call.

Chris: Evening, Ms. Kane.
Erica: Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Can I get you something to drink?
Erica: Yes, a club soda with lime.
Chris: Coming right up.
Erica: Tell me something, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Mm-hmm.
Erica: Do you intend to continue being a bartender here while you're in my employ?
Chris: Well, that depends.
Erica: On?
Chris: On whether you are going to require my services at night.
Erica: I doubt that, Mr. Stamp. I doubt that very much indeed.
Chris: I'll get that soup for you.

Edmund: A date. To go to the movies?
Brooke: And dinner after.
Edmund: I -- I pick you up?
Brooke: Oh, well, I could pick you up.
Edmund: I think you already have.
Brooke: So is that a yes?
Edmund: Yes. Definitely.
Brooke: Great.
Edmund: Ok.
Brooke: All right, so, then we'll -- we'll discuss the details tomorrow in the office?
Edmund: You're on. See you then?
Brooke: Ok.
Edmund: Ok.
Brooke: Good night.
Edmund: Good night.

Anna: She looks happy.
Edmund: Yeah. You'd have something to do with that, wouldn't you?
Anna: Me?
Edmund: [As Anna] "there's a Truffaut festival at the criterion. Wonderful films. Can't miss it." [Normal voice] what are you doing? What, are you trying to set us up, play matchmaker?
Anna: No, I was just trying in a kind and caring way to let Brooke know that I'm not a threat.
Edmund: You sure about that?

Tad: You know, I'm serious. You and I are really going to have to stop meeting like this.
Dixie: I agree. I was hoping this whole thing would be over and that you and me could be home tonight having a big pizza with the kids.
Tad: Soon. I promise, ok? Soon.
Dixie: What do you mean, you promise? How can you promise that?
Tad: Well, because we're lucky. I mean, we've always beaten back every piece of bad luck that's ever crossed our path, and we've lived to tell the tale, right?
Dixie: Well, what if our luck's run out?
Tad: Can't happen. Well, I got you back, didn't I?
Dixie: Yeah. You gave me presents, too.
Tad: I am the luckiest man on the planet.

Ryan: Opal? What did you do with Gillian?
Opal: Gillian? Ryan: She was here. She was in your body. Somehow, her spirit took possession of your body. You were her. She was you. Gillian, come back to me!
Opal: Ryan --
Ryan: Come back!
Opal: Ryan. Ryan, now, I do not know what happened here tonight, but I have got a headache the size of Montana, so if it's all right with you, I'm just going to mosey right on home, Honey.
Ryan: No, no, no. You will not leave me, Princess. You are never going to leave me again.

Edmund: You've obviously given this some thought.
Anna: Oh. Look, if there is even the slightest, the most infinitesimal possibility that my husband is still alive, then I have to pursue that, for my sake, my daughter, and, obviously, out of fairness to you.
Edmund: In case you're still a married woman.
Anna: I'm getting my life back in bits and pieces. I really don't know if it's too much to hope that I could get my husband back, too.
Edmund: Believe me, I can relate. You have a brother-in-law. Don't you?
Anna: Yeah, I do -- Mac. He lives in Port Charles.
Edmund: Have you contacted him to see if there's any possibility that Robert --
Anna: No.
Edmund: Why not?
Anna: I'm afraid. I don't know what to tell him.
Edmund: Maybe it's time to face that fear and make that call.

Chris: Well, here's Myrtle's chicken soup.
Erica: Oh. Great, thank you.
Chris: What time do you need me for work in the morning?
Erica: Pick me up at 8:00, And here's a list of errands I'd like you to run.
Chris: I don't have to wear a uniform, do I?
Erica: The uniform is negotiable, but we'll talk about that in the morning. Please don't be late. Oh, and what do I owe you for the club soda?
Chris: Ms. Kane, for you, it's on the house.
Erica: Thank you.
Chris: You're welcome.

Mateo: Federal agent by night, Erica Kane's errand boy by day. Very interesting.
Chris: And what about it?
Mateo: Well, if you're working for her, then you think there's some kind of drug connection there, right?
Chris: It's all part of the cover.
Mateo: Yeah -- bull. You wouldn't be her toady unless you thought she was involved, and I'm telling you, you're way off the mark.
Chris: Think so?
Mateo: Yeah. I mean, one, she hates drugs. All right? She's a former addict. Her pet charity is teens against addiction. The president almost made her drug czar.
Chris: You'd be surprised how easy it is to be seduced by these people, Mateo. Don't be so naive.
Mateo: Oh, right. So she's smuggling drugs through Enchantment. It's laughable.
Chris: Well, I'll tell you this much -- if she is involved, she's in trouble up to her pretty little neck, and if she's not involved, she's in serious danger. Either way, it's a lose-lose situation for her.

Bianca: Hey, there's some driftwood over there.

Shannon: Oh, my God.

Bianca: We can build a fire.

Shannon: Somebody's coming.
Marcus: Let's get out of here.

Rosa: I'm serious.
Bianca: Crazy. Oh. It looks like we just missed somebody.
Gabriel: It looks like a boy and a girl.
Rosa: Wow! Ooh-la-la. Check this out.
Rosa: Marcus was wearing this tonight at BJ's.

Opal: Ryan. Now, let me go.
Ryan: No, I can't do that.
Opal: Ryan, I'm not Gillian. This is Opal. I got to go home. I got a little boy waiting for me. Tad may be trying to call.
Ryan: I can't let you go, Princess. You're my life! Without you, I might as well be dead.
Opal: Ryan, Honey. Look at me. Take a good, long, hard look. It's Opal. It's me. It's just plain Opal. Gillian isn't here. She's high-tailed it off to wherever it is she came from. I wish I could help you two to reconnect again, but I can't. So you got to let me go. And you got to let her go. As painful as it is, you got to say good-bye, Honey.
Ryan: Forgive me, Opal. I -- I'm sorry.
Opal: Oh. I'm sorry, too. I'm just as sorry as I can be. I don't know how this happened, and I don't know what it means. But as my mama used to say, the past is history and the future's a mystery, but the present is a gift. Ok?

Gillian: Why did you bring me back here, Jesse?
Jesse: So you could see the mess you made.
Gillian: Well, I didn't mean to hurt him.
Jesse: You didn't -- but you did.
Gillian: I just wanted to be with him no matter what.
Jesse: Oh, "no matter what"? No matter who you hurt? You should know the rules by now.
Gillian: Well, I thought it was my task, Jesse --
Jesse: Oh, with the task.
Gillian: To make him happy, to give him hope!
Jesse: Give him hope? You were going to give him a key to Bellevue. I mean, look at the man. He's a wreck.
Gillian: I just wanted him to know that I never really left him.
Jesse: But you have left him. All right? And now he has lost you twice.

ON THE NEXT - - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Dixie: If you're asking me if I'm going to testify against you, yes, I am.

Kaye: Don't you worry. I haven't forgot about our little arrangement.

Ryan: If you're there, please, Baby, please come to me.
Gillian: Yes, I'm coming!
Jesse: You ain't going nowhere.
