ALL MY CHILDREN

DECEMBER 27, 2000

Greenlee: Leo, don't you love days like this?
Leo: Yeah, only when we're inside.
Greenlee: Oh, where's your arctic spirit?
Leo: Back at the loft, curled up by the fire, sipping brandy. Come on, let's make it a threesome.
Greenlee: Wimpburger. I brought you here for a reason.
Leo: What, to freeze my buns off?
Greenlee: This is our special place.
Leo: In the summer this is special, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Well, I know how to warm you up.
Leo: You going to raise my body temperature?
Greenlee: I'll raise more than that.
Leo: I'm up for anything, but just so you know, Jack Frost is going to be nipping more that just my nose, if you know what I'm saying.
Greenlee: Oh, well, being one with you is worth a little freezer burn.
Leo: Don't get all mushy on me now.
Greenlee: Leo, this is the best Christmas of my life. And it's going to be an even better New Year's. I love you so much.

Jack: Well, looks like you didn't get to bed at all last night.
Bianca: I was waiting up for Mom. Looks like she decided not to come home.
Jack: Well, she's also decided not to answer her cell phone. She did make one phone call, though, to tell Val she wouldn't be in to the office today.
Bianca: This is exactly what I was afraid of.
Jack: What is, Honey?
Bianca: She can't even bear to be in the same house as me. She can't bear to go to work and see the people that she works with. She -- it's like she doesn't want to know me. Having a gay daughter is beyond embarrassing. She must really hate me.
Jack: No. Your mother's a lot of things. She's unpredictable, she's volatile, but she does not and she will never hate you.

[Doorbell rings]

Bianca: Mom wouldn't ring the doorbell.
Jack: Ho-ho-ho-ho.
Myrtle: Jackson Montgomery, you handsome dog! Happy, happy, happy --
Jack: Myrtle Fargate, you look like Mrs. Santa Claus.
Myrtle: Happy day after Christmas.
Jack: Come on in, you. Oh, I got your packages.
Myrtle: Where's Erica? Asleep? And Bianca. Bianca, darling. How was Santa Claus? Was he good to you? Did you get all your wishes
from your wish list, huh? Bianca: Not exactly, Myrtle.
Myrtle: No? Hey -- have you been crying? What is this? Christmas presents not opened? Stockings? What's going on? What happened to Christmas?
Jack: Well, Christmas has been temporarily put on hold.
Myrtle: Oh, that's ridiculous. I mean, what Grinch stole Christmas this year?

Dimitri: Hey, there. Kind of cold to be outside without a coat. Excuse me, are you all right?
Erica. What --

Edmund: Hey.
Mateo: Hey, man.
Edmund: Morning. Hi, happy holidays.
Mateo: I know it's early. Sorry.
Edmund: Want some coffee? Good morning.
Adam: Yeah, I'd love some. We've been up all night.
Ryan: You've been up all night? What's going on?
Adam: Hayley took off.
Mateo: Yeah, she didn't come home last night.
Gillian: What?
Adam: Mateo thought she might be here.
Edmund: I haven't seen her.
Ryan: No. No, neither have we.
Adam: I don't know where else to look.
Mateo: Yeah, maybe she called here? You know, she didn't --
Gillian: Did you guys maybe have a fight?
Ryan: Yeah, I don't get it, man. Why would she run out?

Axel: Pine Valley PD. Last stop on the redeye from AA.
Hayley: Thank you for bringing me here. I know that you have to be beat.
Axel: Well, you, too. You did wall-to-wall meetings till sunrise. Hey, are you ok?
Hayley: Oh, I'm really scared out of my skull.
Axel: Well, do you want to share? You didn't last night.
Hayley: You know, Axel, you're one of my best friends, and I love you, but I know that if I -- if I tell you what I'm going to confess that you're just going to talk me out of it. You're just going to try to take me on the lam or something.
Axel: Well, I've never done Bonnie and Clyde.
Hayley: I wish this was a movie. I wish that somebody would yell, "cut," and then I could just walk off set and walk back to my normal life, but that's not reality. This is really happening, and I have to take responsibility for what I did. And I have to do it on my own.

Mateo: You know, who really cares? I don't want to get into the reasons why she left. She's missing, ok, and that's what's important.
Gillian: Yeah, Mateo, try not to worry. If it was a lovers' quarrel maybe she just needed some time alone, by herself --
Ryan: Yeah, some women just need some space or something, I don't know --
Edmund: Mateo, if Hayley shows up, we'll call you, ok?
Mateo: Thank you. Adam?
Adam: We'll show ourselves out.
Edmund: All right.
Adam: Thank you.
Gillian: Good luck.
Mateo: Thanks.
Adam: Thanks.

Mateo: Your fault. Your fault. You started this whole thing.
Adam: Trying to keep her out of prison, Mateo.
Mateo: You made the wrong moves from the beginning. Now she's missing. My wife's missing.
Adam: Fine! You want to point your finger in my face all night, or do you want to find Hayley?
Mateo: What are we doing here? What are we doing here? I'm telling you, all she talked about was going to the police station last night.
Adam: She didn't go to the police station. She's upset. She's not that upset.
Mateo: After you and Liza left, I gave her a hundred reasons why she couldn't do it, why she shouldn't confess. I went to get the tea, and she bolted. Now, I'm telling you, she's probably down at the station right now giving her statement.

Axel: Hayley, are you absolutely sure about this?
Hayley: It took three AA. Meetings and a caffeine infusion, but, yeah, I'm sure.
Axel: Let me call Mateo.
Hayley: No. No, are you kidding? He loves me too much to let me do the right thing.
Axel: All right, what about your dad?
Hayley: He's worse. He'll just try to have me smuggled out of the country.
Axel: What did you do? Rob a bank?
Hayley: I wish.
Axel: Hayley, you're starting to scare me.
Hayley: Listen, I know it's not fair of me to drag you down here and then just let you be completely clueless, but --
Axel: Look, you don't owe me any explanations. You needed a friend, you got one 24-7, no questions asked.
Hayley: Can I ask one more favor?
Axel: Of course.
Hayley: How about a hug?
Hayley: Thank you. Excuse me. Is Lt. Derek Frye in?
Officer: Yeah, sure is.
Hayley: Would you please tell him that Hayley Santos is here and I have something to tell him that can't wait?

Boy: Man, if you're going to suck your wife's lungs out, take it home.
Greenlee: Beat it, kid! And FYI., I'm --
Leo: Dude, this is as close as you're going to get to a woman as lush as my wife, so beat it, punk. Go.
Boy: Stuff it.
Leo: Tsk, tsk, tsk, the mouths on these kids today. What?
Greenlee: Leo, sweet thing. That little twerp thought we were married, and you let him.
Leo: Well, we go to bed together, we wake up together. In between, you're my life. It's the same thing as being married, right?
Greenlee: Promise you'll always feel that way.
Leo: I promise that much, it's going to cost you.
Greenlee: Well, what's your answer?
Leo: What was the question again?
Greenlee: You're impossible.
Leo: No. The man you see before you, Greenlee, was made possible by you. You make me happy. It's a new feeling, one that I want to hold on to forever with you.
Greenlee: Right answer. And for that, you get a reward. I got you another Christmas present. You're going to love it.
Leo: What is it? Toys?
Greenlee: Aah!
Leo: A toboggan. Whoopee.
Greenlee: Hey, I know you're more of a skier, but there's nothing but bunny slopes here in PV. Now we can slide to our heart's content.
Leo: I didn't realize you were such an enthusiast, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Are you kidding? I've been a thrill seeker since I was a toddler. Come on, come on, I'll give you your first lesson. It starts with you holding me really, really tight.
Leo: The things I do for love. Unbelievable. You know, if I break my leg --
Greenlee: Oh, come on. Stop it.

Brooke: And the other part that I love was when he was talking to his mother on the phone, and it was -- Honey, what's the matter?
Laura: It's Greenlee Smythe.
Brooke: What about her?
Laura: I don't know, Mom. Something about her gives me the creeps.

Dimitri: Erica, what are you doing outside in this cold weather? Come on, you put this over your shoulders now. There you go.
Erica: Thank you.
Dimitri: Hold that, hold that. Oh, my God, your hands are absolutely frozen. Give me your hands. I'm going to put these gloves on your hands. Come on, now. What -- what's wrong, hmm?
Erica: I --
Dimitri: What are you doing out here all alone? There you go.
Erica: I've just been driving around all night.
I've -- I've been trying to make some sense of all this. Bianca --
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah? What about Bianca?
Erica: She's lost to me, Dimitri. I have lost my little girl.

Myrtle: Well, is someone going to tell me what's going on? I mean, I take it Erica is not upstairs asleep.
Jack: No, no. No, she's not. Something unexpected came up.
Bianca: No, Uncle Jack, please. No more lies, no more excuses. Myrtle, the truth is that my mother is extremely upset with me right now. She left the house last night and she hasn't been home since.
Myrtle: Oh.
Bianca: She may never want to see me again.
Myrtle: Oh, Darling, I don't believe that. Now, I know that Erica has been getting herself into a state about some of the problems the two of you have. But, oh, she wouldn't shut you out of her life, not for anything in this world.
Bianca: You weren't here Christmas Eve. Myrtle, I told my mother something about myself that she didn't want to hear, something that maybe made her sick, maybe -- maybe made her hate me.
Myrtle: Oh, now, you bite your tongue. Erica would never hate you, not in a million years.
Bianca: She would if I gave her a reason. See, Myrtle, I told my mother that I'm gay.
Myrtle: So that -- that is the reason for all this? Oh, you darling girl. Good heavens. You had me scared half to death.
Myrtle: Oh. There, there, there. Come on, sit down. Now, listen, darling. I know you threw your mother a loop. But give her time to get used to it, and then she'll come around.
Bianca: You didn't need time to get used to it.
Myrtle: Oh, Honey, Honey. In my life -- in my life I have seen everything twice. Right?
Jack: Absolutely.
Myrtle: I mean, you being gay is just part of who you are.
Bianca: Myrtle, you're the best. But you know my mom. She's not going to get used to it. She's not going to come around. I mean, I'm like the anti-Erica. I'd be surprised if she doesn't throw me out of the house.
Jack: Myrtle, will you please tell her how crazy that is?
Myrtle: Of course, absolutely crazy. Listen, darling, you are part of Erica's flesh and blood, and she would rather cut her heart out than lose you. She loves you. She loves you very, very much.
Bianca: That was before I dropped my bombshell. Myrtle, you weren't here last night. Neither were you, Uncle jack. You didn't hear her. She actually accused me of turning gay to spite her.
Myrtle: She did? Well, I'll have a word or three to say to her when she gets home.
Jack: Yeah.
Bianca: I should probably go upstairs and pack my things anyway. Even if she doesn't throw me out of the house, she'll send me off to some boarding school so that she doesn't have to look at me every day and say, "what went wrong?"
Myrtle: Look, Darling, Darling, we mustn't jump to a lot of depressing conclusions. Now, what I think we should do is right now get a fix on where this Erica has disappeared to.

Dimitri: Come on. Come sit over here with me. Now, you're saying Bianca is lost to you. What, did she go back to Seattle?
Erica: No.
Dimitri: She's not sick, is she?
Erica: Yes, in a way, she is. She's come under someone's influence, and -- and she's convinced herself that she -- I haven't said it out loud. Bianca thinks that she's gay.
Dimitri: Wow. Um -- I see, I see. That -- that's a lot for you to take in. Whew. You know, she isn't sick. I mean, that's -- you know, thank God she didn't have a relapse.
Erica: No. But, Dimitri, I mean, if she continues with this belief, I mean, her life could be ruined. You know how intolerant people are.
Dimitri: Yeah, but you've got gay friends, you know, working in the fashion industry.
Erica: I know. Yes, I know, and I've supported gay rights, but it's very different when it's your own child.
Dimitri: Yeah. Yeah, I understand how it can be so upsetting. No parent wants their child to suffer in any way.
Erica: That's right. Oh, and it kills me to see her suffering, and she is suffering. But she's not the only one, Dimitri. I feel so betrayed. And I know I shouldn't, but I do, and it just makes things harder.
Dimitri: For you.
Erica: Yes, for me, but also for Bianca. I mean, Dimitri, if she keeps on insisting that she's -- that this is how she is, I mean, her whole life could be so difficult. It could be in danger. I mean, you know how people are. They -- she'll be subject to ridicule. I mean, people have been killed for this, Dimitri.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Erica: She's only 16. I an, when I was her age I didn't even know who I was or what I really wanted out of life.
Dimitri: Well, no, no, no, I don't think that's true. I think that you knew from the cradle that you wanted to be a star. Hmm? Well, why don't you let Bianca know what she needs to be for herself?
Erica: It's different. Dimitri, this is her sexuality, and she's been ill.
Dimitri: Well, yeah, but --
Erica: Dimitri, this is not about careers. I mean, how could my beautiful little girl get so confused? And what could've caused this?
Dimitri: Well, it's not an issue to blame yourself for.
Erica: Well, I know who did it. It was that horrible girl from rehab. She did it to Bianca. She -- she warped her thinking, she enlisted her, and if anyone laid the groundwork for this, it was Barbara. Because Barbara d the biggest influence on Bianca during her most formative years. And so if anyone's to blame for turning my innocent, sweet little girl into someone who thinks that she's gay, it's Barbara.

Derek: Hayley, I'm glad you came down.
Hayley: I think I have some information that you would be interested in.
Derek: Concerning Arlene?
Hayley: And what happened to her.
Derek: Good. We can talk in here. Come on.
Axel: You want me to come with?
Derek: No, no, no, no. It's one-on-one.
Axel: Be brave.

Mateo: Axel, what are you doing here? Have you seen Hayley?
Axel: You just missed her. She --
Mateo: Hey. Hey, hey, hey.
Adam: Hayley, thank God you're all right.
Mateo: You scared me to death.
Hayley: I'm sorry.
Mateo: Ok, come on. Let's go.
Hayley: No, no, no! I came here to talk to Derek and give him a statement about Arlene.
Derek: So if you don't mind --
Adam: Wait, wait, wait. I need to talk to my daughter alone, privately.
Derek: Well, you know, you can get in line, Adam.
Adam: No, I -- it can't wait. Hayley, this is about your mother. We have new information.
Derek: You know, I suggest you share that information, given that Arlene is a suspected jewel thief.
Mateo: Derek, this is not about some stupid necklace, ok?
Derek: Then what is it about?
Adam: None of your business, Derek. Now, either you're going to let me talk to my daughter now, or she's not going to talk to you at all.
Derek: I can't -- ok, Adam. Five minutes. Clock's running, starting now.

Derek: You have any idea what's going on?
Axel: [As James Cagney] I don't talk to Coppers, see?
Officer: There's a call for you, line two.

Mateo: I'm so glad to see you. What are you doing here? Why didn't you call me last night?
Hayley: I had two choices. Either hit an AA. Meeting or hit the bottle.
Mateo: Well, I'm proud of you.
Hayley: Don't be. The only way I'm going to stay sober is if I confess.
Mateo: You're not sticking your neck out. You're not doing that.
Adam: Sweetheart, just give it a little time. This will all blow over.
Mateo: Listen to your Dad.
Hayley: I want this out in the open.
Adam: You'll go to jail.
Hayley: I've considered that possibility.
Mateo: I'm not letting you do it. You're not doing it.
Adam: Hayley, listen to me. If you insist on admitting that you strangled your mother, I'm cong forward as your accomplice.
Hayley: I killed Arlene, not you.
Mateo: We're all to blame, Hayley. We all took part in her death, all right, and I'm not letting you pay for it.
Adam: Hayley, listen to me. Listen to me. You are the only one with a defense that the jury will listen to. You were drugged, your mother was trying to seduce your husband. It's purely a crime of passion. Mateo, Liza, and I -- we did a cover-up that was coldly premeditated. You'll go free. We'll to jail. Is that what you want?

Derek: All right, time's up.
Hayley, you ready to give your statement?

Brooke: Laura, what is it about Greenlee that bothers you? Laura: I don't know. It's like a vibe she gives off.
Brooke: A vibe? What kind of a vibe?
Laura: You know, like she's got more than one face.
Brooke: Well, that could be said for a lot of us.
Laura: Yeah, well, people reveal things about themselves when they think no one else is watching.
Brooke: Honey, she did you a favor when she told you who pushed you overboard.
Laura: Do you think, Mom? I -- I just can't see Bianca doing that to me.
Brooke: Laura, Blanca's had a lot of problems, all right? And she was drugged that night.
Laura: So? It still doesn't total. Bianca and I had, like, this sister thing going. And she swears she didn't push me.
Brooke: Well, if that's the case, why hasn't she told you who did?
Laura: I don't know. That's what's making me so crazy.

[Leo and Greenlee yell and scream]

Brooke: What's going on? Oh, my --
Laura: Looks like trouble.

Dimitri: Well, at the risk of you lopping off my head, I was under the impression that Barbara was good to Bianca.
Bianca: No. No, she was not. She was not good to Bianca. That was all an act. Behind closed doors, she made Bianca feel like an unwanted stepchild. This is true, Dimitri. Bianca told me this many times. And so Bianca has spent her whole life looking for love and looking for approval.
Dimitri: Well, Erica Erica -- come here. Come here. You give her that. I mean, this situation with Bianca, it could be a temporary thing, you know.
Erica: Yes. Yes, that's right. That's what I think, too, Dimitri. I so agree with you. I think that this behavior of Blanca's is a call for help. Thank you. Thank you so much. You'll never know how much I appreciate your getting me to understand this, helping me. I could always turn to you in a crisis. I always, always could turn to y in a crisis and you would help me.
Dimitri: Well --

Jack: Well, as per usual, Myrtle, you have had a marvelous idea, and I am going to act on it. I'm going to take a drive and see if I can find Erica.
Myrtle: Oh, good. I'll join you.

[Telephone rings]

Bianca: Uncle Jack, that might be Mom. Could you answer it?
Jack: Sure.

[Ring]

Jack: Kane residence. Jack Montgomery speaking. Well, hello, Rae.
Myrtle: Rae?
Jack: Happy holidays to you, too.
Myrtle: Is that my Rae?
Jack: That is your Rae.
Myrtle: Well, come on, give me the phone.
Jack: It just so happens that she's right here. You want to talk to her? Ok, here she is.
Myrtle: Oh, of course. Hello, hello, hello, Darling. How are you? What? Oh, Sweetheart. Well -- look, tell me all about it when I get there. Of course I'm coming. You don't have to ask me that. I'll be on the first train. You sit tight, and I'm right on my way. Bye. Jack, I can't help you come and find Erica. I've got to get to Llanview for my daughter. There's some kind of emergency, and I don't know the details. I've got to go home --
Jack: Look, look, you go home, I'll follow you there. I'll take you to the train station. You, Bianca, stay here just in case your mom calls, ok?
Bianca: Ok.
Jack: Ok.
Myrtle: And listen, Sweetheart. Don't sit here and think gloomy thoughts. Just remember that you and your mother will find each other again. You just have to have faith, and then everything is going to be fine. Ok?
Bianca: Ok.
Myrtle: Bye, Darling.
Bianca: Thank you so much, Myrtle.
Myrtle: Love you.
Bianca: I love you, too.
Myrtle: Bye-bye. Thank you, Jack.

[Bianca plays "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" on the piano]

Derek: Hayley, you have something you want to say about Arlene for the record?
Hayley: I -- yeah, I just wanted to tell you that I definitely saw Arlene on the yacht the night of Ryan's party. And we had a fight -- I mean, a knockdown-drag-out fight. It got physical.
Mateo: Ahem.
Derek: Then what?
Hayley: And then she -- she got onto one of those shuttle things -- you know, the boats -- and went back to the land, and that's the last time I saw her.
Derek: And that's -- that's the whole story?
Adam: She just told you, didn't she?
Derek: Hayley, why didn't you tell me this last night at the house?
Hayley: You know, it's -- I think it's the Libidozone or something that affected my mind because I had a flashback or something.
Derek: This fight you and Arlene had -- what was it about?
Hayley: Um -- Mateo. My mother has always been very jealous of my relationship with him, and she was trying to talk me into leaving him and going away with her.
Derek: And where is Arlene now?
Hayley: Amsterdam, I think. That's where my dad got her to sign the divorce papers, anyway.
Derek: And that's all you know.
Hayley: Yeah, that's all I can tell you.

Dimitri: I'm feeling light years better, too. In fact, I had some good news. I finally heard from Alex.
Erica: Oh, really? Well, did she say why she ran off?
Dimitri: There's no indication that that's what happened.
Erica: Well, where is she?
Dimitri: I don't know. The line went dead before I could find out. I got the distinct impression that she couldn't talk freely, that she might be in some sort of danger.
Erica: But that doesn't surprise you, I mean, given the number of shady characters in her background.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, you know, I just know that Alex can handle herself in most situations. That is the one thought that keeps me sane moment to moment. I just -- I guess I'm fated to fall in love with complicated women. You know, that's it, isn't it? All right, look, if you're ok, I've got to get headed home.
Erica: Well, we could have breakfast together.
Dimitri: I'd love to do that at another time. I've just got so much stuff that I have to follow up on. Actually, Edmund and I suspect someone in town might know more about Alex's whereabouts than they're letting on.
Erica: Oh, really? Anyone I know?
Dimitri: It's better that you don't know.
Erica: I see. Well, I wish you luck. And thank you for the use of your coat.
Dimitri: No, no, no, no. Please -- coat, gloves stay on you.
Erica: Dimitri, you're going to freeze.
Dimitri: Yeah, well, I won't freeze. I'll pick that stuff up later.
Erica: Ok, then. That'll give me something to look forward to.
Dimitri: Erica, go home to Bianca. Be there for her. Can you do that?
Erica: I'll try.
Dimitri: Good. I'm going to walk you to your car, and I'm going to tell you something -- if you ever go outside in this kind of weather without a coat again, you're going to hear from me. You hear that?

Greenlee: You poor thing, you must be frozen. Hey, luckily -- over here, sit down -- I brought a blanket to snuggle under. Here.
Leo: Give me the --
Greenlee: Hey! Here, here. Your body heat will defrost you. Oh, thank God -- thank God you didn't go all the way underneath the ice. When you fell, I saw my life flash before my eyes.
Leo: Your life? What about my life?
Greenlee: Mine without you in it. I love you so much, it hurts. I know this sounds silly, but when I do some simple, everyday thing like put on make-up, I think, "I'm doing this for Leo," and it's like pure ecstasy. Like when I see your toothbrush next to mine and feel your heartbeat when I'm sleeping, it's like the perfect happiness. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I thank God every minute of every day for you. For the first time in my life, I feel happy to be alive.
Leo: I feel the same way.
Greenlee: Really?
Leo: Double.
Greenlee: You're shivering. You're shivering. Should I take you to the hospital? You might get hypothermia.
Leo: No, no, no, I'm fine. But I saw somebody over there selling hot cider.
Greenlee: Oh, you stay. I'll go.
Leo: All right, hurry up.

Laura: Leo, what happened?
Leo: I took a dip.
Laura: What, are you a member of the Penguin Club?
Leo: Greenlee was teaching me how to toboggan. We picked up too much speed, jumped the slope, jumped right past the skaters, past the sign that said, "Danger -- Thin Ice." I stood up. I sank. No, no. Go ahead, laugh. Everybody else did.
Laura: No, no, you're right. It's not funny. You could've been killed.
Leo: No, luckily it was just my pride that was wounded. Greenlee! Where's my hot cider? Will you excuse me for a second?

Brooke: Is he ok?
Bianca: Hi.
Laura: Hi. Bianca: Do you mind if we talk by ourselves?
Brooke: I'm not sure how I feel about you being alone with Laura.
Bianca: Please. It's about what happened that night on Ryan's yacht.
Laura: Mom, it's ok.
Brooke: I will be right outside.
Bianca: Laura, I owe you a major apology. Not for pushing you off the yacht -- I didn't do it -- but for not telling you who really did.
Laura: So you do know. Why didn't you tell me before?
Bianca: I couldn't.
Laura: Why not?
Bianca: Personal reasons, but those reasons no longer exist. And you deserve to know who almost killed you. Other people should know, too, before they get hurt.
Laura: So, ok. Who pushed me?

Derek: Hayley, you've told me everything?
Adam: Derek, of course she did. Stop harassing her.
Derek: Because I get the feeling that there's something more to the story, something you're holding back.
Hayley: No, I just wanted to tell you that I definitely remember that Arlene was on the boat.
Derek: You told me that last night. You also told me that Arlene was wearing a pearl necklace.
Adam: Derek, use your head. If Arlene had been brazen enough to steal Vanessa's necklace, do you think she would've had the gall to model it in front of the guests?
Mateo: You know what? We're done. Let's go home. Come on.
Derek: Fine. Go ahead. But if you happen to have another flashback, call me.
Adam: Come on, Sweetheart. We're going home.

Derek: Get on the phone. Contact immigration in the Netherlands. Find out if Arlene Chandler entered the country, and if she did, I want to talk to her.

Edmund: Hello? Oh, hi, Dixie. Yeah. No. No, I'm afraid we're not going to be able to have the Crystal Ball this year. No, I know it's huge for Maria's foundation, believe me. But I've been spending all this time, you know, dealing with the Alex situation. It's just -- I don't know, it's just really short notice. We don't have --
Gillian: Hey, hey, Edmund, listen.
Edmund: Yeah?
Gillian: Please, please. Why don't you let me and Ryan take care of this for you? We'll just do the whole thing.
Edmund: Hold on, Dixie. That is very generous of you, but, really, it's impossible.
Gillian: No, no, no, no. It is possible, ok? Dixie can do the invitations, and we can take care of the caterers and the decorations and everything.
Edmund: Are you hearing this? This is really short notice. I mean, New Year's Eve is like --
Ryan: I'm up for the challenge.
Edmund: You have no idea what you're taking on.
Ryan: Edmund, after what I've been through, I would love to try and do this.
Gillian: Please, please, please. Come on, it'll be so much fun.
Edmund: You have a funny idea of fun. Dixie, are you hearing this? Ok, why don't you come on -- I can't believe this. Come to the house later, all right, for a planning session with Ryan and Gillian. The Crystal Ball 2000 is on, ok? Great, see you. Thank you, guys. This means a lot to me and the kids and Maria.
Gillian: You know what? Maybe this can be our theme this year. "Let the light of the candle show the way into the New Year."
Edmund: In memory of my wife.
Dimitri: A light for Alex to find her way home.
