Chris: Who else had motive, opportunity, and the means to shoot Frankie?
Erica: I did.

Greenlee: The biggest mistake Leo made was marrying you. As for you implying that he can't trust me --
Laura: Oh, Greenlee. The only thing you know about trust is your trust fund.
Greenlee: I'm not the head case who made his life miserable by pretending to die every five minutes.
Laura: You know exactly what I’m talking about.
Greenlee: I know you're certifiable.
Leo: Ok, excuse me. The guy in the room would like some information -- now.
Laura: We're talking about the differences between vanilla and rocky road.
Leo: What? We're talking about ice cream?
Laura: You want to tell him, or should I?

[Knock on door]
Dixie: Tad --
Tad: I know I should've called, but if I had you would've told me not to come.
Dixie: That's right. It's a little late.
Tad: I know. I want to talk to J.R.
Dixie: No, no. It's been a very long day for him, so --
Tad: I'll make it better.
Dixie: You are the last person who can do that.
Tad: Look, don't you think he at least deserves to hear both sides of the story?
Dixie: I think he's heard everything he needs to know.
Tad: Well, I’m sorry, but I doubt that.
Dixie: I told him exactly what happened.
Tad: No, you told him your version of what happened, and I think he's old enough to decide for himself what he wants to think.
Dixie: You know what, Tad? I would like you to go.
Tad: No. Not until I’ve had a chance to --
J.R.: Save it.
Tad: J.R. --
J.R.: Mom's right. It's late for you and for anything you have to say.

Jack: Ok, detective, let's hear what we've got so far. The gun that Erica Kane turned in to the police turned out not to be the murder weapon that killed Frankie Stone. The bullet recovered from Frankie Stone's body turns out to be of the caliber that matches a handgun registered to Ms. Kane's limo driver, Christopher Stamp, also known as federal agent Stamp.
Miguel: Let me guess -- Stamp's gun is now missing.
Jack: Yeah, exactly. Don't ask. He maintains that that gun was in a locked glove compartment of Erica Kane’s limo, to which only two people have keys.
Miguel: Stamp and Ms. Kane.
Jack: That's their story and they're sticking to it. Have we got the search warrants yet?
Miguel: Yeah. You going to give Ms. Kane a heads up?
Jack: What, warn her that we're going to search her premises? No. No. The people that have been with her have been with her for quite a while, and I’m pretty sure they'd do just about anything for her.
Miguel: Destroy evidence?
Jack: What? What, Miguel? What?
Miguel: It's just your relationship with Ms. Kane and your niece -- don't you think it's going to be --
Jack: It's going to be a little awkward? Yeah, it's going to be awkward as hell. If we had another DA, Believe me, I would recuse myself in a New York minute. But we don't, so, lucky me, I’m it.
Miguel: You really think Ms. Kane had anything to do with it?
Jack: Well, that's my job to find out, now, isn't it?
Miguel: When the bottom feeders at the tabloids here the name Erica Kane, they're going to be all over this. You know that, right?
Jack: There's going to be a feeding frenzy, which is why whenever we catch whoever it is that killed Frankie Stone, I want this case to be airtight. Do you follow me?
Miguel: The paperwork is going to be a thing of beauty.
Jack: It by God better be. And to make sure this thing doesn't get botched up, I am going to supervise the search of Erica Kane’s premises, and I want you to do the same with the other search.
Miguel: Right.
Jack: What? What? Right? Right? Do you have a problem with this? What?
Miguel: Oh, it's just -- I mean, I don't know the family personally, but from what I hear, they're a hell of a nice family.
Jack: They're a hell of a nice family. Yes, they are. But that fingerprint was a perfect match. And, my friend, you and I both know prints don't lie.

Chris: You killed Frankie Stone? That's what you're saying? You shot her and killed her?
Erica: That lawyer/client confidentiality thing -- that still goes, right?
Chris: Yeah. Anything you say stays between us.
Erica: I knew from day one that that girl was no good.
Chris: Erica --
Erica: I knew from the moment she bounced off the hood of my car like some cirque due soleil reject that she was no good, that she was out to -- to hurt my family and me, and look what that little tramp has done.
Chris: Erica, the subject -- listen to me -- is you and what you've done.
Erica: I warned Frankie. I told her what would happen to her if she ever hurt Bianca.
Chris: Well, that's just great. And while you were doing all of this warning, did you think -- did think for one second what would happen to you if a jury found you guilty of murder one?
Erica: I'm not worried about a jury finding me guilty.
Chris: And why not?
Erica: Because you're going to get me out of this.
Chris: Yeah, well, I’m not the miracle worker.
Erica: You're an FBI agent. You guys cover up all the time.
Chris: What?
Erica: Yes, you can find a way to make it look like that boy did it, the boy who was with Frankie.
Chris: The kid you're talking about -- you want me to frame an innocent kid for murder?
Erica: "Innocent"? "Innocent"? None of this would've happened if it hadn't been for him.
Chris: That's insane!
Erica: Look, this boy is nothing to us. We don't even know him.
Chris: Are you listening to yourself? The kid you're talking about, Erica, is probably the same age as Bianca.
Erica: We can't think about that.
Chris: Stop. You stop right there. Now, first of all, the feds do not cover up everything, and, second of all, it's not that easy to frame someone for murder. And I would not frame someone for murder even if I could. Do you hear me?
Erica: We have to do something.
Chris: We will and we are. And that's why I need to know every detail. Now, please, you got to tell me everything that happened. How did you kill Frankie?
Erica: After we split up and tried to find Bianca, I just -- I drove.
Chris: How long?
Erica: I don't know. I -- look, I wasn't looking at the clock.
Chris: All right. Go on.
Erica: Well, I just -- I tried everywhere -- everywhere I could think of. I mean, every place that Bianca had ever mentioned to me. And I thought that maybe Frankie would know something.
Chris: Bianca found Frankie in bed with a guy, and you thought that before she took off she was going to tell Frankie where she s going?
Erica: I was desperate, ok? I was desperate. Why are you grilling me like this? Whose side are you on?
Chris: I'm on yours, Erica. I'm on yours. And that's why I need to know every single detail because it's the only way I’m going to be able to protect you from Jackson.
Erica: You don't have to worry about Jack.
Chris: Erica, he's the DA. You want a job description? If he thinks you're guilty, he's going to prosecute you
. Erica: Jack has always loved me. Jack would never hurt me.
Chris: Yeah, well, I wouldn't count on that.
Erica: No, I can handle Jack.
Chris: Look, I’m not going to get into this with you, ok? Now, I need you to tell me the truth.
Erica: I'm not so sure you do.
Chris: And why not?
Erica: I'm not sure the truth will get me off.
Chris: Why don't you let me be the judge of that?

Tad: J.R., I understand how angry you must be with me.
J.R.: No, I’m cool.
Tad: No, you're not. I know you.
J.R.: You thought you did.
Tad: I know you well enough to understand that you feel things very deeply.
J.R.: Did you ever think people change?
Tad: Of course they do. People change all the time.
J.R.: But you can't?
Tad: J.R., Why don't you give me a chance to say something?
J.R.: Let me see. How does it go? "This time, J.R., we're going to get it right. I swear to you, Pal, this time your mom and I -- we're going to get it right."
Tad: I -- I was wrong. I've admitted that.
J.R.: You always admit it. It's your favorite thing to do.
Tad: I'm sorry. I made a mistake.
J.R.: You brought that whack job Leslie Coulson back here.
Tad: I had my reasons.
J.R.: You did it to get Hayward, and you didn't give a damn about the rest of us.
Tad: I told you, I made a mistake.
J.R.: No. I did. I trusted you, man, and I believed you when you said you were through screwing up.
Tad: Don't you understand? I only did what I did because I love you, because I love your mother.
J.R.: You did it because Hayward got you and you hate to lose. Well, here's the funny part, Tad -- you just lost.

[Doorbell rings]
Miguel: Mrs. Martin?
Dixie: Yeah?
Miguel: I'm Det. Saiz. May we come in, please?
Tad: What's going on?
Miguel: We have a warrant to search the house. Start upstairs in the bedrooms.
Tad: Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Wait -- what the hell is this?
Dixie: Excuse me -- could you please tell me what's going on?
Tad: And where is Derek? Does Lt. Frye know you're doing this?
Miguel: No. I'm working this case.
Dixie: What case?
Miguel: Vanessa Cortland’s niece, Mary Frances -- she's also called Frankie Stone -- was found murdered tonight at the Cortlandt estate.
Tad: Cortlandt estate is my mother's house. Is she all right?
Miguel: She was the only victim.
J.R.: Frankie's dead?
Dixie: J.R., you knew her?
J.R.: Yeah. I met her at the -- at the park after I left the hospital.
Tad: Ok, so -- so J.R. knows her. What does that have to do with us? Why are you searching my house with a search warrant?
Miguel: When we dusted the crime scene for fingerprints, we found --
J.R.: Frankie was alive. I swear to God, she was alive when I left her. I swear to God she was.

Laura: What, no snappy comeback? What's the matter? You got brain freeze? Too much ice cream?
Leo: Ok. A new plan -- I don't want to know what's going on because we're not doing this. So whatever it is that you've got, Laura, just, please, let it go --
Laura: No, no, it's not to do with me. It's about you and Greenlee -- the woman you think you know.
Leo: Who Greenlee is and what I do with the rest of my life is totally none of your concern, ok?
Laura: But I think you should hear this. See, when Greenlee broke off your engagement and dumped you in front of all of those people, sort of like you dumped me at our wedding --
Leo: Yeah, ok, we're really not doing this. Let's go.
Laura: No, I just want to make sure we're all on the same page here. See, Greenlee meant what she said back then about never wanting to see you again. And the reason she changed her mind was because of me.
Greenlee: Like anything to do with you would --
Laura: No, she saw you with me, so she wants you back. That's what she is, Leo.
Leo: Greenlee wanted me back for the same reason I wanted her back. We never stopped loving each other, that's why.
Greenlee: Leo, don't waste your breath. You know, isn't it time for you to start, like, hanging out in a rubber room? You're becoming delusional.
Laura: It's already happening, Leo, and I think deep down inside you know it.
Greenlee: You know, maybe some new meds would help you.
Laura: No. Now that she's got you away from me, she's still not satisfied. She's already looking over your shoulder.
Leo: At who?
Laura: Jake.
Greenlee: Ha. Leo, I don't have time for this.
Laura: What's the matter, Greenlee? You don't look so good.
Greenlee: You're so desperate, it's making me gag.
Laura: Oh, so I’m desperate and that's -- is that’s what you think? And what do you think, Leo? You think she's capable of loving only one man? Or is she about to take you for the worst ride of your life?
Laura: You're awfully quiet, Leo. Did I hit a nerve?

[Phone rings]
Laura: Oh, don't answer that. This was just getting good.

Greenlee: Oh, my God.
Leo: Who is it?
Erica: It's Erica calling me from Enchantment.
Leo: Greenlee, we're kind of in the middle of something --

Greenlee: Hello, Erica, it's Greenlee. Oh. Hello, Val. What's up? Ok. Yeah, yeah, I know about that meeting. Well, if Erica can't make it, I’d be the obvious choice. Does she want me to do the pitch? Well, I need to think about it. I'll get back to you. Oh, yes!

Leo: What is it?
Greenlee: There's some crisis at Enchantment and Erica’s out of commission and I’m the only one who knows about the project. Leo, they need me.
Leo: Good, I guess.
Greenlee: If I go home right now and I cram for this, I will rule at that meeting tomorrow --
Leo: Slow down, slow down, slow --
Greenlee: And I will blow Erica away.
Leo: Ok, I want you to really, really think about this, Greenlee. She fired you, remember? If you step foot back in that office --
Greenlee: I'll be bailing her out and she will be beyond grateful. Leo, this is my chance to get my job back.
Leo: What about Paris?
Greenlee: We can go to Paris anytime. They need me at Enchantment, Leo. Me, Greenlee -- I’m needed.
Leo: I understand that. What about -- what about having fun like we talked about? You know, no strings attached?
Greenlee: Oh, I’m all about hanging out and having no strings attached. You know that. But it's like Jake says -- the best feeling you could have is when you love something so much and you go after it and you ace it!
Leo: I see.
Greenlee: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to diss going to Paris. We'll do Paris.
Leo: No, no, sure, sure. It's fine, it's fine.
Greenlee: No, I shouldn't have said that.
Leo: No, it's -- you know, Jake’s right. You should follow your dreams.
Greenlee: You're my dream.
Laura: Funny. That's not what I heard.
Leo: All right, Laura. Out with it.
Greenlee: No, Leo --
Leo: No, no, no, no. She's been hinting at this all night. So if you got something to say, go ahead and say it. Now!

Tad: J.R., Don't say anything, not one word, till we get you a lawyer.
Dixie: I don't understand. Are you accusing my son of something?
Miguel: No, no. No one's accusing anybody of anything, Mrs. Martin.
Dixie: Ok, then what exactly is going on here?
Miguel: J.R.'S fingerprints are in our database. We took them when he stole his father's car.
Dixie: Yeah, I know all about that.
Miguel: When we ran a check for the prints we found at the murder site, we found a match for your son.

Officer: Detective, could we speak to you?
Miguel: Excuse me.
Dixie: Sure.

Dixie: I don't believe this. They found your prints at the murder site?
Tad: You met this girl tonight? Obviously they went back to her room. All right, nobody panic. I'm going to handle this.
Dixie: What are those cops talking about there? Det. Saiz, I would like an explanation please.
Miguel: Mrs. Martin, I’m sorry, but the officers found something in your son's bedroom.
Dixie: What -- what could possibly be in his room?
Officer: We found this.
[The officer holds up a small bag of marijuana]

Erica: All right. This is what I haven't told you. Frankie called me a second time on my cell while I was in the car.
Chris: While you were looking for Bianca?
Erica: And she sounded -- well, I mean, she sounded like she was completely hysterical. And she said that she was sorry for everything.
Chris: Because?
Erica: Well, she said that I was right. She said that, from the beginning, she was out to -- to scam Bianca to get money from me. And she said that she had negatives of herself with Bianca.
Chris: And she was going to blackmail you with those?
Erica: Well, originally, that was her plan, yes. But she said that she had changed her mind and she wanted to give them to me, that she couldn't bring herself to go through with the blackmail.
Chris: What about the interlude with the mystery boy?
Erica: Denial. She invited that boy over to her place to prove to herself that she just wasn't like Bianca.
Chris: Well, then, what happened? I mean, it sounds to me like you won.
Erica: I won?
Chris: Yeah.
Erica: You think I won?
Chris: Yeah, she wasn't going to take advantage of Bianca
. Erica: Well, she went on and on and on about how she heard Bianca and how she and Bianca were going to walk off into the sunset together.
Chris: And you didn't believe her?
Erica: What do you mean?
Chris: You lost me.
Erica: That little witch said that she was sure that Bianca would take her back, and she was right. Because two minutes of that wounded little bird routine, Bianca would have melted, and I was not going to let that happen. So I drove to Opal's house, and I took the gun out of the glove compartment.
Chris: Wait. Wait. You took the gun in with you? Do you know what you're saying? You're telling me that this was premeditated.
Erica: Look, I think it's about time that you answered my question. What exactly are you planning to do to get me off?
Erica: Instead of wasting time interrogating me, shouldn't you be planning a strategy for my defense?
Chris: Erica, I am building your defense. You're telling me that you went into that room intending to kill Frankie?
Erica: Of course not.
Chris: I know, but you just said --
Erica: That I took the gun in there with me, yes, but I -- I just took it because I wanted to scare her.
Chris: Scare her into doing what? Into leaving town? What?
Erica: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what I was thinking. I just know that I -- I wanted her to know that I was serious.
Chris: Well, waving a loaded gun in her face should've done the trick, don't you think?
Erica: Chris, look, I never intended to use the gun on that girl. You know that I’m not a violent person. I just -- the girl -- she just -- she panicked and she lunged for the gun. And then the next thing I knew, the gun went off. It was just -- it was just a horrible accident.
Chris: An accident? Is that what you want to claim, that it was an accident?
Erica: It's the truth. I mean, look, I can understand that it would appear to be premeditated. I got rid of your gun.
Chris: Where?
Erica: And I took Travis', the one that Travis gave me.
Chris: Erica, what did you do with my gun?
Erica: Look, would you stop grilling me? It is hard enough for me to tell you all this.
Chris: Ok. Ok, but we're going to get back to that. Now, when I found you, the gun that you had with you belonged to Bianca’s father?
Erica: Yes. Travis gave it to me years ago for protection. And that's all I was trying to do -- to protect -- that's all I’ve ever done is try to protect my daughter.
Chris: Erica, your case is so full of holes.
Erica: It's what happened.
Chris: Yeah, but it doesn't make any sense.
Erica: Well, I’m sorry if I’m not being logical enough for you.
Chris: I'm not the one you have to be logical with.
Erica: Look, I’ve been completely traumatized, ok, Chris? I mean, I can't give you a blow-by-blow description complete with diagrams and a pie chart.
Chris: All right, all right. Now, you said that she had some pictures.
Erica: Negatives.
Chris: Negatives. Where -- where are they? What happened to them?
Erica: I took them home.
Chris: And?
Erica: I burned them in the fireplace. And then I went to Frankie’s room, and that's when I called you.
Chris: And tried to make it look like a suicide?
Erica: Chris, I never intended to kill that girl. Please don't look at me like that.
Chris: Your daughter is the girlfriend of the victim who -- who had some pictures.
Erica: She never used them.
Chris: She was planning to.
Erica: But she changed her mind.
Chris: According to you.
Erica: She gave them to me.
Chris: Again, according to you. Now, how do you think that's going to sound to a jury? Huh?
Erica: Well, the jury isn't going to hear this. You're the only one I’ve told. You're the only one who knows what really happened. And you believe me, don't you, Chris?

Miguel: This way, J.R. Right there. Right there.
Tad: J.R., remember, don't say anything till we get you an attorney.
Dixie: Stop saying that, Tad.
Tad: I'm just trying to help.
Dixie: Well, I took care of it, thank you.
Tad: What do you mean, you took care of it?
Dixie: I made a phone call from the squad car.
Tad: Who'd you call?

Adam: What in God's name is going on here?
Miguel: Mr. Chandler --
Dixie: He's my son. I did what I had to do.
Miguel: We're investigating the murder of Mary Frances Stone, and your son's fingerprints were found at --
J.R.: I swear to god, she was alive when I left --
Adam: No, keep quiet. Keep quiet. Go on, detective.
Miguel: Well, Erica Kane got a phone call from Mary Frances Stone right before she died. Apparently she was in bed with a boy when Bianca walked in and caught them in the act.
J.R.: We weren't in the act. We were just kissing --
Adam: J.R., That's enough. What is your interest in my son?
Miguel: He may have been the last person to see the victim alive. We just want to ask him a few questions.
Barry: As a material witness or a suspect?
Miguel: We just want the truth, that's all.
Barry: Give us a minute. Adam? I think he should cooperate
. Adam: Come on, Barry. This is a waste of my time. He's not a murderer.
Barry: Of course not. But right now they need his help. And if he helps them, then we can ask for help about the drugs.
Adam: Yeah, all right.

Barry: I'll allow my client to answer some questions -- in my presence, of course. And, in exchange, we expect leniency in the matter of the minute amount of marijuana that was found in his bedroom.

Tad: You told him about that, too, did you?
Dixie: Leave me alone.

Miguel: We'll deal with the drugs later. Have a seat, J.R. You said you met Frankie Stone in the park. I want to hear everything that happened from that moment until you left her room. And don't leave anything out.

. Laura: This isn't the right time to tell you. I feel like you're not in the right place where you'd believe me.
Greenlee: Oh. Now that we've finally had a moment of mental health, let's go, Leo.
Leo: No, no, no, no. Not yet. I came here to get my stuff, and that's exactly what I’m going to do.
Greenlee: Well, I should drop by the office. We can come back here later.
Laura: Or you could just stay and get it now -- unless you're afraid for us to be alone together.
Greenlee: Me afraid of you?
Laura: Ok. Then there's no problem, right?
Greenlee: I'm going to Enchantment. I'll catch up with you later.
Leo: All right. I'm just going to go grab some of my things.
Greenlee: Tell him whatever you want. He won't believe a word of it.
Laura: I don't need to tell him what you said to Jake. You will.
Greenlee: There's nothing to tell.
Laura: Oh, yes, there is. And you'll spill it all to Leo.
Greenlee: You're confusing me with you. I don't screw up with men.
Laura: Oh, you won't mean to, but it'll slip. See, after tonight, Leo’s going to be watching you.
Greenlee: You're so pathetic.
Laura: And you'll be careful, but it'll slip. And when it does, he'll be gone so fast.
Greenlee: No.
Laura: He'll look at you the way he looks at me -- like you're something he just has to scrape off the bottom of his shoe. You'll see.
Greenlee: Laura, Leo does not love you. Leo loves me. Get used to it.

Laura: Yeah, he loves you, and that's pain just waiting to happen. But it's not nearly enough punishment for Leo.

Laura: Let me help?
Leo: No, thanks, I got it.
Laura: So, where are you and Greenlee going to live?
Leo: What difference does it make?
Laura: I'm just trying to make conversation, you know. Cover the awkward moments.
Leo: No, you're trying to obsess again, Laura. Trying to figure out where I’m going to be.
Laura: No, I’m just asking you a simple question. I mean, you were a big part of my life.
Leo: Yeah, was. Not anymore. You got your own life now. You got your own friends. You got your own family.
Laura: I don't have any friends.
Leo: Well, you did. Bianca would've crawled over glass for you.
Laura: I don't want that kind of friendship.
Leo: Come on. She got over the romantic thing a long time ago, Laura.
Laura: Look, I don't want to talk about Bianca.
Leo: You don't even know that she's in the hospital right now, do you?
Laura: What? What happened?
Leo: She was riding and her horse threw her.
Laura: Is she ok?
Leo: We're hoping.
Laura I had no idea.
Leo: Of course you didn't have any idea because -- you just locked yourself off from everything, Laura. I hate seeing that. You used to be so terrific.
Laura: Stop it.
Leo: No, you had people that you loved, things that you actually cared about. Now all you care about is your sick games. You don't even know what really matters anymore.
Laura: You lecturing me about what matters? I married you because I loved you.
Leo: I know.
Laura: You said you loved me, and you were lying.
Leo: I tried.
Laura: And you're accusing me of playing games? All I was doing is reacting to you.
Leo: I'm not going to get into this fight with you, not right now! Ok? Not ever. Because it goes nowhere. I'm just going to finish packing up my things and I’m going to get out.
Laura: What, before -- before the guilt sets in? Before you have to admit what you did to me?
Leo: What I did?
Laura: Yeah. I'm a joke, thanks to you and your friend with the taste for the rocky road. You said you'd marry me because you wanted my last days to be happy. Well, you made my life a living hell.
Leo: I'm sorry you feel that way.
Laura: Yeah. Just pack up your stuff. Get out.

[Knock on door]
Jake: Greenlee, this is really not a good -- time.
Greenlee: What did you tell Laura?
Jake: About?
Greenlee: Vanilla? Rocky road?
Jake: Oh, yeah, yeah, your -- your love-as-ice-cream theory. Why would I tell Laura anything about that?
Greenlee: Ok. I guess you wouldn't.
Jake: No, I wouldn't. So you want to tell me why you're really here?
Greenlee: I did. I thought that you busted me.
Jake: No, you don't believe that.
Greenlee: I did.
Jake: If you can't be honest with me, at least be honest with yourself. You came here to see me.

J.R.: Frankie had a joint, and I took a couple of hits off it. And then we went back to her place and we were just, you know, getting to know each other. And the door opened, and Bianca walked in.
Miguel: And then what happened?
J.R.: It was bad. Bianca was -- I’ve never seen anybody look like that. Like she wanted -- like we'd killed her or something. And then she got freaked and ran out, and Frankie totally lost it. She grabbed this -- this funky locket, and she was holding on to it, telling me how I couldn't tell anybody because Bianca’s been through enough. And the whole time she just couldn't stop crying.
Miguel: And then what did you do?
J.R.: There was nothing I could do. She -- she wanted me out of there, so I -- I went. She was alone when I left her. She was alive.
Miguel: And when you left the Cortlandt estate?
J.R.: I messed up my hand again, so we went back to the hospital so I could get it fixed.
J.R.: You believe me, Mom, don't you?
Dixie: Of course I do. Of course.
Adam: Detective, I’d like to take my son home now.
Miguel: I just want to check something. You say that when you left Miss Stone, you were -- she was holding on to a locket.
J.R.: Yeah, it was -- it was kind of broken. Miguel: This is a list of all the things that we found in Miss Stone's room. There's no mention of a locket.
J.R.: Man, I’m not lying. She had it when I left.
Tad: What difference does it make, detective?
Miguel: If the locket is missing, then whoever killed Frankie Stone must've taken it with them.

Greenlee: All right, I did come to see you. But not for the reason you're probably thinking.
Jake: Oh, so you want me for my mind, not my body. Got it. So, what's up?
Greenlee: I just got a call from Enchantment. They want me back, Jake.
Jake: You're kidding. Greenlee, that's great. So -- so Erica’s gotten over the whole gorilla suit thing?
Greenlee: Erica's not there. She's caught up in some crisis du jour, which is why they want me to help them out. Did you hear what I just said?
Jake: Yes, yes!
Greenlee: Enchantment wants me!
Jake: That is great. You know why they want you -- because you're good and they know it.
Greenlee: Well, you know, in the end, I was starting to think that maybe I was -- I mean, being good at something that isn't lunch or shopping is really a new concept for me, so I wasn't sure exactly what I was -- ah! I'm babbling!
Jake: Yeah, you are, you are. That's ok. It's nice. It's good. So, what's this for?
Greenlee: You're the one who told me find what you love to do, work harder at it than you ever thought you could, because it's not about the money, it's about --
Jake: Your place in the world.
Greenlee: I feel like I matter. I feel like I count for something.
Jake: And I’m happy for you.
Greenlee: I knew you would be. I knew you'd totally get it. That's why I came over here.
Jake: And I’m proud of you. So I want you to go home, get some sleep, so you can get up in the morning and hit the ground running.
Greenlee: I just wanted to thank you.
Jake: Well, don't because you're the one who did all the hard work.
Greenlee: No, no, Jake --
Jake: Yes, you are.
Greenlee: You're good for me. And whether you want to admit it or not, I’m good for you, too. You're not nearly as stuffy as you used to be.
Jake: So they tell me.
Greenlee: You know what I mean.
Jake: You need to go home and get some sleep.
Greenlee: I know what you're thinking -- always want what I can't have.
Jake: Greenlee --
Greenlee: You said you don't want me and I totally respect that. There's one little problem. I know you don't mean it.

Pat: Jake? What's going on?

Adam: How much longer is this going to take? My son has school tomorrow.
Miguel: J.R. has bigger problems than missing an English class. We found drugs in his room.
Adam: He's cooperating with your investigation.
Miguel: Which makes him a good citizen. It doesn't take his stash away.
Adam: Oh, come on --
Barry: Detective, detective, you don't want to lock this boy up. There are no formal charges yet. The amount of drugs was small. He's certainly not going anywhere, and he did everything he could to help you. Just -- just let him go home with his family tonight and we can discuss counseling or whatever else might be appropriate.
Miguel: All right. But J.R. has to keep himself available for further questioning.
Barry: Absolutely.
Miguel: And he's going to have to go in front of the judge for violation of his probation.
Dixie: His father and I will see to it, detective.
Adam: Yes, we'll take care of it.

Jack: So, where are we now?
Miguel: Well, J.R. admits he was with Miss Stone earlier in her room tonight before she was killed. He says when he left, she was still alive.
Jack: And Bianca walked in and caught you and Frankie in bed together, right? What was her reaction to that?
J.R.: She looked kind of sick to her stomach.
Jack: Would you say she was angry?
J.R.: No. She was just hurt.
Jack: Ok. As far as I’m concerned, that's all. Thanks for your cooperation.
Dixie: Thank you, Jack.
Jack: You're welcome, Dixie.
J.R., There -- there actually is one more question I’d like to ask you.

Erica: Do you believe me now?
Chris: Do I believe that you killed Frankie Stone? Yeah, I do. Now we just have to figure out how to deal with it.
Chris: It's been a long night, huh, guys? My client and I are out of here.
Jack: I'm afraid I have a few more questions first.
Chris: Miss Kane’s exhausted. We'd be more than happy to come back and answer any of your questions in the morning.
Jack: I'm afraid, Erica, that you can't go anywhere because you are under arrest.
Erica: Chris --
Chris: For what?
Jack: We found some burnt film negatives in your fireplace.
Chris: So she took some pictures she didn't like. So what?
Jack: We also found this. It's a locket. I assume you recognize it. Now, J.R. tells us that Frankie Stone had this in her possession while he was with her. So would you please, please, Erica, tell me how it wound up in your house?
Miguel: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you prior to questioning.
