ALL MY CHILDREN

DECEMBER 7, 2001

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Bianca: I want to know what happened, Mother.
Erica: Bianca, what are you doing here? I mean, you're not well enough. You should be --
Bianca: No, stop it, stop it. You tell me now.

Dixie: My blood work didn't make it to the lab. Just a little while ago, I saw you with a whole bunch of blood samples. You do the math.

Hayley: Are you having an affair?
Mateo: It's worse. Much worse.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[Hayley runs into Adam outside her condo]
Adam: Oh --
Hayley: Hey.
Adam: Hayley, thank you, thanks for coming. Am I late?
Hayley: No, it's ok. You're fine.
Adam: I can't stay along. I just, I just -- I have to talk to you about J.R.
Hayley: No, it's no problem.
Adam: Ok, good. Where's Lorenzo? With Mateo?
Hayley: No, actually, he's with Mateo's mother. Mateo's at work, where he always is these days.
Adam: Ah, yeah. It's getting cold. Do you want to go in?
Hayley: Yeah. I'm sorry, just bear with me. I have to find my keys. I'm just a little distracted these days.
Adam: That's partly because you have to do everything.
Hayley: Anyway, thanks for meeting me here instead of the Valley Inn.
Adam: Yeah, why was that, exactly?
Hayley: I've got to pick up diapers, then I've got to run them over to Mateo's mother. He's fine. Everything is -- everything is just fine.

Dixie: Why did you take my blood work? What did you use it for?
David: Ok, I might have overstepped my authority.
Dixie: "Might have."
David: I know I'm not your doctor anymore, Dixie, but I do know your case better than anybody else here at this hospital, so I thought that --
Dixie: You thought -- oh, my God.
David: I thought that it would be best to send it to a private lab.
Dixie: You did what?
David: This is the best lab in the country, ok? I mean, these people are in the forefront of everything innovative that's happening in medicine.
Dixie: You took this upon yourself without absolutely any authority to intercept my blood work? Why?
David: Because I was there when you started experiencing shortness of breath, ok? And I was the one that encouraged you to keep up with your testing schedule. But when I found out that you had finally been tested, I thought that --
Dixie: You thought you could just, "well, hmm, I'll take over her life again."
David: No, no, no. It wasn't like that at all. Of course I was going to share the results with your new doctor.
Dixie: Wait, wait, wait a second. You actually thought that you could share something that wasn't even your right to know. Are you for real?
David: Dixie --
Dixie: You just want control over my life again, don't you?
David: No, no. This has nothing to do with me wanting control over you.
Dixie: Do you think that you can own me or my body or my health? You really think that I'm going to just let you go come into my life and --

Vanessa: Who the hell do you think you are? Using that tone of voice in this hospital to my son

Erica: Bianca, you shouldn't have come here.
Bianca: No, Mom, you have to tell me. I need to know what happened when Frankie was murdered.
Erica: Look, Honey, you need to stay calm, and you need to leave here.
Bianca: Mom, I can't remember anything.
Erica: I know, I know.
Bianca: But you know what happened. I can tell. You have to tell me.
Erica: Baby, don't. Don't do this.
Bianca: Mom, why were you arrested? You have to tell me what you know.
Erica: What I know is that you should not be here. You should be home. You should be resting. You have to take time to get over this horrible trauma to you. I mean, Opal didn't tell me that you were released from the hospital already.
Bianca: I wasn't, Mom. I came to see you.
Erica: Look, Bianca, no matter what goes on, I mean, you have to take care of yourself.
Bianca: Listen to me, listen to me. You just have to say it, ok? Just say it. Just tell me what happened. I need to know right now.
Erica: Honey, please, just let me get through this -- this hearing, this arraignment.
Bianca: No, no. You shouldn't be here. It's not right. They shouldn't have arrested you for this, Mom.
Erica: Well, they -- they think that they have enough evidence against me. I'll be fine, but you have to stay calm, and you have to make sure that you don't talk to anybody about anything.
Bianca: Why?
Erica: Why? Bianca, you know why.
Bianca: Mom, I don't. Please tell me.
Erica: Honey, listen to me. I know that you don't want to make this any worse for --
Bianca: For me, right? I did it, right? Mom, tell me -- did I kill Frankie?
Erica: Bianca, don't. Don't you say things like that.
Bianca: Because they're true. You're covering for me.
Erica: No. No. No, listen to me. I mean, people are out to get us, and, my god, your uncle jack is the prosecutor. I mean, the world has just turned upside down, Bianca.
Bianca: Mom, did I kill her? Did I kill Frankie?
Erica: Shh. No. And you shouldn't talk like that. Don't.
Bianca: Mom, I don't remember anything. I don't remember. I remember walking into Frankie's room and seeing her in bed with J.R., And -- I lost it, I -- Mom, all these feelings came up, things that I haven't felt in years. All this stuff about hating myself I haven't felt since rehab, and -- I don't know. I stopped thinking, I stopped remembering, and the next thing I know, I'm in the hospital, and I'm waking up, and they're telling me that she's dead, and that -- and that you were arrested for her murder. And, mom, I need to know the truth. Hi I need to know right now, or I'm really going to lose it.
Erica: Listen to me. This is what I want you to do. I want you to think, think very hard, think back to -- to what you did when you walked into Frankie's bedroom and you found her there with that boy, in bed.
Bianca: Everything died, Mom. I died.
Erica: Do you remember anything what happened after that?
Bianca: No, nothing.
Erica: But that's ok. It's good. It's good you don't remember anything else.
Bianca: Why is it good? Because you're covering for me, right?
Erica: No. Listen to me. You did not kill Frankie. I know that -- for a fact. All right?
Bianca: What does that mean, Mom?
Erica: It means that this is really all for the best. It is. Because that little witch really got exactly what she deserved. And you need to move on.

David: What the hell do you think you're doing here, Mother?
Vanessa: Defending your reputation, David. That hurt.
David: You have no right to say anything to anybody about me.
Vanessa: Oh, to this cheap, little, you know, white trash --
David: All right, that's enough! That is enough! Just get the hell out of here!
Vanessa: No, listen here -- my son has a world-class brain that is the envy of every doctor in this country! How dare you insult him in the very hospital where he saved your pathetic, little life, you bottom-feeder!
David: All right, that is enough! That is enough!
Vanessa: I'm not going to take this! I'm not going to stand here and listen to her execrate you! No!
David: What the hell is going on with you today?
Vanessa: I don't -- I don't know. I'm sorry, David. I'm sorry.

David: Look, I don't know what came --
Dixie I don't care. I don't want to have anything to do with it. Excuse me.

J.R., Hi, hi. Dr. McMillan?
Zeke: Mrs. Martin, I told J.R. that I would walk him out here to find you.
J.R.: I think I can find my mommy all by myself, ok?
Dixie: So how'd it go? I know you didn't want to do this, but -- how're you feeling?
J.R.: Like the loser you all think I am.
Dixie: Nobody thinks you're a loser, J.R.
J.R.: I do.
Dixie: Honey -- J.R.: Mom, it's just such a total waste of time, ok?

[Adam and Hayley walk into the condo and find Simone and Mateo]
[Music plays]
Mateo: I thought you were going to have lunch with your dad in town.
Adam: Is -- is that all you have to say?
[Music stops]
Mateo: Ok.
Adam: Ok.
Mateo: Look, I let her go from SOS to stop the rumors from flying around town, all right? I did it to protect you.
Adam: Then you're saying -- what? You're saying you're having an affair with her.
Simone: I'm sorry.
Adam: You get your clothes on, and --
Mateo: Adam, you don't tell anyone in my house what to do, you got it?
Adam: You' cheating on your wife in your living room.
Mateo: Tell him to go, all right? And we'll talk.
Hayley: In our home, Mateo? Did you have to do it here in our home?
Adam: Look at her, damn it!
Mateo: It's the best time I've had in months.
Adam: I'm going to kill you.
Mateo: Shut up! You shut up, and you get out of my house! Go!

Dixie: Sweetie, this is not a waste of time, and neither are you. You're a great kid. You just need some help, that's all.
J.R.: Help? From this guy?
Dixie: J.R.
J.R.: Mom, he's got, like, a hundred diplomas on his wall, and he sits there and he nods his head at me. He doesn't know me. He doesn't give a crap about me. I mean, he really -- he could care less. Mom, stop looking like that, ok? It's just -- it's not worth it.
Dixie: Dr. McMillan, I'm sorry. I don't know what to say.
Zeke: Look, listen, listen, why don't we just all talk, the three of us, just for a minute. Come on. Have a seat.
Mrs. Martin, I told your son that what he tells me is between the two of us. Now, the only time that rule is broken is if I feel in my professional opinion that he is a threat to himself or to someone else. At that time, I will let you and J.R.'S father know about my concern and why. Beyond that, we will meet every week. And if he wants to tell you about it, it is entirely up to him.
Dixie: Oh, of course.
J.R.: Well, I want to tell her that it's a big waste of my time. Does that count?
Zeke: I thought you told me that J.R.'S father was going to meet us here so we can all discuss the ground rules together.
Dixie: Yeah, I called him. I just haven't heard back from him yet.
J.R.: Hmm, big surprise.
Dixie: I will contact him again, though, and make sure that he meets with you. Thanks for, you know, telling me the ground rules. We do put our faith in you.
J.R.: Hey, don't speak for me.
Zeke: I'll see you next week, J.R.

J.R.: Does what I say matter at all anymore?
Dixie: Yeah, it matters to me, but you're still going to see this guy.
J.R.: Mom, he is a total freak.
Dixie: He may be a -- all the diplomas on his wall say different, so you're stuck.
J.R.: It's so not fair, at all.
Dixie: Fair went out the window when you started doing drugs again, my friend. So -- so you're just going to see this guy for a little while, ok? You know I love you. And I know that makes you cringe when I say that, but it didn't used to, you know? You used to hug me.
J.R.: Yeah, well, I used to be dumb.

Vanessa: David, you have to forget about that woman. She's not only a threat to your livelihood she's a threat to your manhood.
David: What happened to you today, mother? What is this?
Vanessa: David, this is not just pining, is it? You're up to something -- with Dixie.
David: I don't even know what that means. Nor do I care.
Vanessa: David, give it up. Give her up, please.
David: All right, all right. Look, you've never been a normal mother. I've grown to accept that, believe me. But this is weird even for you. What is going on?
Vanessa: David, I have been totally thrown off my pins. I -- I don't even know what to think.

Adam: Of all the audacity. You're cheating on my daughter with this tramp?
Simone: Hey!
Adam: And all the while making my daughter feel like maybe she did something to deserve it!
Mateo: What difference does it make if I'm cheating on my wife or not? You don't know the half of what's been going on in my house since my son was born.
Hayley: You lousy, miserable --
Mateo: You've been distant. You've been distant, and you know it.
Adam: No, no. Don't you dare try to palm it off on her.
Mateo: You've been preoccupied. You've been neurotic about the baby, and yet you palm him off to my mom any chance you get. Now you're ready to go back to work -- ever since Ryan Lavery swoops in here and snaps his fingers at you.
Adam: You'd actually try to justify your behavior --
Mateo: I don't need to justify anything to anyone.
Hayley: Who the hell are you?
Mateo: You wouldn't know. You're too busy to look.
Hayley: No, you're the one who's been so busy. Oh, "it's been so busy at the club." Is busy over here your new girlfriend? Is this is what's so busy? And you and your fancy silk shirts and your expensive watches. Where are you getting the money for these things? Where are you getting the money to pay for your cocktail waitress? Or are you taking it out in trade?
Simone: Watch your mouth.
Hayley: Shut up, you slut. Where are you getting the money, Mateo --
Mateo: Would you shut up?
Adam: Don't you dare talk to my daughter that way.
Hayley: Where are you getting the money, Mateo? Where is it coming from?
Mateo: It's none of your business.
Hayley: I used to do the books in the club, Mateo! Where is the money coming from to keep her in leather pants?
Mateo: Oh, please, please. It's none of your business. You wonder why I turn to her? You wonder why? You don't believe in me. There's no support. All you do is nag, nag, nag me all day and all night!
Hayley: How could you?
Mateo: Easy, it's easy. So I turn to her. It's easy. You know why? Because she's a supporter. She believes in me, you got that? She actually knows who I am. She just accepts it, accepts that I can pull whatever off. She believes me, you understand that?
Adam: This is completely out of control. Look, you -- you've done enough damage for one night, I think. Why don't you leave?
Mateo: Don't listen to him. You stay here.
Simone: No, you know, I'm out of here, Mateo.
Adam: Sweetheart, I have to be someplace, but I'm not going to leave you here. I'm not just going to leave you alone with him. I'll drive you by, we'll pick up Lorenzo. We'll take him by my house.
Mateo: You don't tell her what to do. You don't tell her what to do.
Adam: You don't tell me what to do. You lost your chance to tell anybody what to do when you had sex with your whore in your living room --
Mateo: You have nothing to add here. You have nothing to add here. You have no place here. Listen to me, my wife does what I tell her!
Hayley: The hell I do.
Mateo: Now, I want to talk to you.
Hayley: You want to talk? Talk all you want. We are through. And you did this to us, Mateo. You did this.

Erica: Listen to me, Bianca. You listen very carefully. I know how horrible it is to find out that you were wrong about someone you love. I know that very, very well. But Frankie was not what you thought she was, honey. Not even close. She used you. She betrayed you. And then she wanted even more for herself before I --
Bianca: What does that mean, Mom? You saw her that night? She asked you for money, or -- oh, no!
Erica: Bianca, don't.
Bianca: Oh, my -- you said that she deserved to die. You said that! Oh, Mom! You found out that she hurt me, and you went and you --
Erica: Oh, Bianca, don't do this. Don't do this, Bianca.
Bianca: You killed Frankie. You did, didn't you?

Chris: What is this? Bianca, you're supposed to be in the hospital. The two of you shouldn't be seen out here together like this. What's going on? Erica, what just happened?
Erica: Chris, please, would you just give me another second? I mean, I may not get another chance to explain. Bianca, please, for me -- keep your voice down. Now, I can get off, but you have got to stop talking about this.
Bianca: Oh, my God.
Erica: Bianca, listen to me. I'm going to be fine. I'm not going to have to go to prison if we play this right. And the truth is that nobody has to know what really happened that night except just the three of us.
Bianca: God, this isn't happening.
Erica: Bianca, I am doing this for you. You're at the beginning of your life. And you will find someone out there to love, I swear to you. And when you do, they are going to love you back just the way you deserve to be loved.
Bianca: I loved her. I loved her with all my heart, and you took her away from me.
Chris: Bianca, Bianca, please. Keep your voice down, please.
Bianca: I loved her, Mom! I let myself love her. I loved her because I could see in her eyes that she felt the same way about me.
Erica: Honey, she was lying.
Bianca: Oh, God, why are you saying this to me?
Erica: Because, you know what? You have got to see the truth. You have got to let it go. And you have to help me.
Bianca: You hated her.
Erica: No.
Bianca: You couldn't stand that she loved me, so you took her away from me.
Erica: I didn't take her away from you. She wasn't even faithful to you. You saw that with your own eyes. I saved you. I saved your life.
Bianca: By taking Frankie away? You liar. You horrible, horrible -- you killed her because she loved me.
Erica: No.
Bianca: She loved me. You thought that she would -- that she would take me away from you. You, you -- you couldn't stand that she loved me and I loved her back, so you --
Erica: Bianca, no.
Chris: Now, look. Listen to me. If you two don't stop this, I'm going to take the both of you out of here on my back. You've got a cop standing right there. Please.
Bianca: Mom, she was weak. She was weak, and you knew it. And she couldn't stand up to you, but you didn't care. You didn't trust that that was enough, so you -- so you killed her to keep her from loving me. God, how could you do this? How could you do this to her? How could you do this to me?

Vanessa: Look, David, I never shake.
David: Well, you nearly ripped Dixie's head off. What do you expect?
Vanessa: I don't appreciate listening to her excoriate you in a place where you save lives. If you'd only been able to do something to help poor Mary Frances. David --
David: Is that what this is about? Vanessa: She was my niece, David.
David: And you wanted nothing to do with her from the second she set foot in this town.
Vanessa: I didn't want her murdered in cold blood by your ex-girlfriend.
David: No, I don't think Erica did it, if that helps you in any way.
Vanessa: And you know, I can't even reach my sister. My sister is so unbelievably unreliable. I can't even find her to tell her that her daughter's dead.
David, I don't know what to do. It's fallen on me, and I do not know what to do.
David: I will help with the burial, ok? And also with the memorial service. So relax.
Vanessa: This whole thing is just unbelievable. I mean, she was a young girl.
David: Yeah, I know.
Vanessa: Why do you think Erica is innocent? And don't just tell me because you were involved and somehow you just know.
David: Erica is an extremely passionate woman, and she's most passionate about her daughter's well-being, but I can't even imagine the circumstances that would cause her to kill somebody, let alone a girl her daughter's own age.
Vanessa: But they seem to be inextricably linked, David. I mean, from her arrival to her demise --
David: Oh, no, no. That whole car accident thing always read like a set-up to me, and I know that's exactly what Erica thought it was.
Vanessa: Are you defending Erica?
David: I'm not defending anybody.
Vanessa: David, David, you cousin came into town being hit by Erica's car. She leaves, dead, dead, being accused -- having Erica Kane accused of killing her.
David: Why, why are you here?
Vanessa: I don't -- I don't know. I don't -- I needed someone to talk to.
David: No, no, I think you needed somebody to provoke.
Vanessa: Why do we always have to be adversaries, David? Come on, people are dying. They're getting hurt.
David: Yeah, yeah, and you know? You're always hovering over it like a little vulture, just waiting to pounce on everybody to cause trouble. You know, mother, I just don't have the stomach for it right now.
Vanessa: You don't seem to have the stomach for anything except a woman you can't have. David, listen, I am trying -- I am trying to reach out.
David: You want to reach out and touch somebody? Please do it someplace else, ok?

Hayley: I can't be here, Mateo.
Mateo: I just want to talk to you. That's all I want. I just want to talk to you.
Adam: Talk to her after you've insulted her and betrayed her?
Mateo: Put the bag down.
Hayley: I can't, Mateo. You brought that woman here to our home. I could never live here anymore. I could never live here with our son anymore.
Adam: I'll take you to our house. You'll be safe there.
Hayley: I'll take myself. You have to meet J.R., and I want my car with me, anyway.
Adam: All right, I'll walk you to the car away from him.
Mateo: Why don't you stay out of this?
Adam: Why don't you go to hell, Mateo?
Mateo: Ah, come on. Where are you going? It was just one time. It was -- it didn't mean any -- Hayley, you can't leave me!

Adam: Dixie, I'm sorry.
Dixie: You are an hour late.
Adam: Yeah. Did I miss the meeting with your doctor, son?
J.R.: He's not my doctor. He's my shrink, ok? It's embarrassing, and he's a waste of my time.
Adam: Oh, I see everything's going well here.
Dixie: You were supposed to be here after the session ended. We've been sitting here waiting. J.R.'S pretty upset.
J.R.: Upset? Oh, no. No, no. I am not upset. I'm really ticked off, ok? Look, Dad, I tried. I really did. But this shrink garbage -- it's going to do nothing but waste your money and my time.
Adam: Why don't we let Dr. McMillan be the judge of that?
J.R.: He's the problem. Look, he's an old guy. He doesn't get m ok?
Adam: Well, I'm an old guy. I don't get you, either.
J.R.: Ok, look, I promise I won't smoke any more weed, and I'll go do some stupid community service thing. How about that?
Adam: Nonnegotiable. Have we agreed?
Dixie: Oh, absolutely.
Adam: You're going to go to every meeting on time.
J.R.: Hmm. Just like you were, huh?
Adam: Son, I know that you are angry and annoyed at this whole situation, but I don't want you talking that way to me.
J.R.: Dad, I just don't think it's --
Adam: You've screwed up royally. And this time you're going to face the consequences like a man, or we are going to keep treating you as the child that you seem to be hanging on to. Is that clear? We're going -- you're going to become a successful and compliant member of the human race if your mother and I have to drag you kicking and screaming every inch of the way.
J.R.: Just like my namesake, huh?
Dixie: You know, that's it. Go wait in the car.
J.R.: God, I hate it when you do that to me.
Dixie: No, no, you have been getting away with too much for too long, and I am over you. Go. I'll be there in a few minutes.

Adam: For a minute, I thought you were going to send him away because I was being too rough on him.
Dixie: I'm furious with you! You know, I will be on the same page with you when we're in front of J.R., but you were late. You were really late, and you didn't even have the nerve to call.
Adam: You're right.
Dixie: What? What?
Adam: You're absolutely right. I've done this to all of them, haven't I?

Chris: Bianca -- look, I'm not getting anywhere with you, so I'll give you two one minute.
Erica: Bianca, I am begging you to understand.
Bianca: Understand? Understand that you --
Erica: That I love you. I love you. Please tell me that you don't hate me.
Bianca: You killed what I love.
Erica: Bianca, no. You don't see --
Bianca: See? See why you killed somebody my age who didn't do anything to you except get in your way and fall in love with me?
Erica: No, that's what I'm trying to explain to you. Frankie didn't love you. She used you, and she betrayed you, but it had nothing to do with you, Honey. It was her. It was all her. She was sick, and she was twisted, and she was disturbed.
Bianca: No, shut up. Shut up, Mom. I hope they find you guilty. I hope that they see you for who you are and what you are and they throw you in jail for the rest of your life. I swear to God, it's what you deserve.
Erica: Bianca?
Chris: Erica, Erica --
Erica: This is my daughter, please --
Chris: My client's not going anywhere. Just give us a minute of privacy. Thank you.
Erica: Chris, she's in trouble. I have seen these signs before. I haven't seen them for a long time, but she hurt herself when she was younger when she was like this. And if I don't go to her, I don't know what will happen to her.
Chris: It's ok, it's ok. Just don't panic, all right? Please. Ok.
Erica: Ok, look -- if I can't go to her, then you have to go to her for me.
Chris: All right.

Man: Ahem. Excuse me. We're about to begin.
Chris: Ok, we'll be right in.
Officer: I have to escort you inside, Miss Kane. I'm sorry.
Chris: It's all right. I'll find Bianca just as soon as we're through this, ok?

Hayley: Hi.
Mateo: You did great.
Hayley: You think? I think my performance was weak. You, on the other hand, scared the hell out of me.
Mateo: I -- I hated talking to you that way.
Hayley: Well, I hated hearing it. And -- and you could have looked a little less turned-on when I walked in and caught you and Simone about to deflower each other.
Mateo: Well, I had to make it look real --
Hayley: You made it look a little too real, I think. And Simone looked too freaking sexy, and I just hated that.
Mateo: I hated it, too.
Hayley: You did not.
Mateo: Yes, I did, and Simone, she was freaked out about it. But I told her how strong my wife was.
Hayley: I don't feel very strong anymore. I feel very weak. My legs feel weak. I -- this is so hard, lying like this.
Mateo: Yeah, but we got to do it all right, the house is bugged. I know it is.
Hayley: I hate this. The idea that people are listening to us come and go and watching our every move. Now I can't even -- I can't even be with you at night.
Mateo: We have to stay apart. It's the only way.
Hayley: I know. I know it. But I just -- this is killing me, Baby. Kiss me like you mean it.
Mateo: I always mean it.
Mateo: I love you so much.
Hayley: I love you, too. So what's our next step? I mean, besides telling everybody we know that we've separated.
Mateo: We lay low and we see how Proteus reacts to us splitting up.
Hayley: Do you think he's really going to care?
Mateo: Well, if he thinks it happened because I was working for him, then, yeah. We just let him guide us.
Hayley: How long do we have to do this?
Mateo: I don't know. I don't know, Baby. I don't know.
Hayley: Do you understand that I hate even pretending to hate you?
Mateo: I hate pretending to want anyone but you. But at least we have this place.
Hayley: It ain't Paris.
Mateo: I know, but we get to be who we are.
Hayley: Yeah, I know.
Mateo: That's all that matters.
Hayley: I know. I love you.
Mateo: I love you, too.

[Phone rings]
Mateo: Santos.
Proteus: Well done, Mr. Santos. Very well done.
Mateo: What's well done, Proteus?
Proteus: Mateo, don't toy with me.
Mateo: I don't know what you're talking about.
Proteus: Your wife -- and your mistress. Not the way you planned it, I'm assuming.
Mateo: Is there anything you don't know, Proteus?
Proteus: Nothing. You should know that by now. Am I right?
Mateo: Ok, well, look, I -- I'm having a little trouble at home, but I won't let it affect my work for you.
Proteus: Now it won't. The distractions of your life, starting with your wife -- well, I'm glad we don't have to worry about that anymore.
Mateo: I am not giving up on my marriage.
Proteus: You were awfully mean to the ball and chain.
Mateo: Yeah, well, she just caught me off guard.
Proteus: She caught you half dressed.
[Proteus laughs]
Proteus: But no man who doesn't want to be caught would mess around with his mistress in his own living room.
Mateo: What's your point?
Proteus: Only that maybe you got what you wanted and you're not such a devoted husband and father after all.
Mateo: My family means --
Proteus: Means everything to you. I remember.
Mateo: You don't believe me?
Proteus: Mateo, my friend, I don't really care.
[Proteus laughs]
Proteus: But it was awfully amusing to see you make your little wifey cry.

Simone: Zeke, wait. I can explain. Everything that you saw earlier with Hayley and Mateo --
Zeke: We had an agreement, Simone.
Simone: I know, I know, I just want --
Zeke: I don't even want to talk about it.

Dixie: Adam, what are you talking about?
Adam: What has happened to my family?
Dixie: I don't know.
Adam: My children. They -- why are they struggling so much? J.R. Is sullen and defiant.
Dixie: Well, we're getting him the help he needs. He may hate it, but we're helping him.
Adam: And Hayley -- Hayley -- her life is a living hell. Just when she thought she had everything she wanted -- a new child, a new family --
Dixie: What are you talking about, Adam? What's the matter with Hayley?
Adam: I don't know. I don't know. Is it me? Have I done this to them?

David: Yeah, it's me. Cancel my afternoon appointments. Just do it.

Judge: The charge before this court is murder in the first degree.
Chris: Your honor, may I approach the bench, please?
Judge: Step forward.
Chris: Everything will be ok.

[Erica remembers walking into Frankie's room
] Erica: Bianca, are you here?
[Erica gasps]
Erica: Oh, no. Erica: Oh. Oh, she's dead. Erica: Oh, my God. Bianca, what have you done?

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Hayley: I can't do this. I won't.
Mateo: Hayley, please, just calm down --
Hayley: I won't!

Leo: Bianca, you can't blame yourself for Frankie.
Bianca: I'm the one who did it.

Judge: Bail will be set at $10 million.
