ALL MY CHILDREN

FEBRUARY 14, 2000

Edmund: Are you being modest?
Alex: No.
Edmund: You have no idea how you managed to take down an armed robber?
Alex: It happened too fast
Edmund: It was one of the bravest things I've ever seen.
Alex: Glad to be of service.
Edmund: If there's nothing else?
Guard: No. Thanks again.

Scott: I guess I should have waited for a more perfect moment to tell you I love you. But I saw myself going down in a hail of gunfire, and I was just like, you know, "say it" --
Becca: It's perfect.
Scott: I couldn't hold back. I --
Becca: Oh. My -- oh, my -- my bracelet. Oh, my gosh. I must have dropped it. Where were we standing when you gave it to me?
Scott: I don't know. It's got to be around here somewhere.

P.A. Announcer: The mall will be closing in five minutes. Please use your nearest exit.

Becca: We got to find it. We have to find this. Here, wait. Look down here. Maybe it just fell off or something. Do you see it?
Scott: No.

Leo: Just stoke Marian's fire, Paolo.
Paolo: Leo.
Leo: Be very discreet. Do you understand me?
Paolo: Leo.
Leo: I'm serious. I don't want any of those dramatic public scenes that you're famous for.
Paolo: Leo, per carita. Leo, do I need pointers, huh? You didn't teach me. I taught you most of what you know.
Leo: Yeah, but, well, the student has just become the employer, so, remember, to you I don't exist. And if anybody even suspects that we're connected --
Paolo: Leo, huh? Don't worry. I will be back in Italy before the end of the week, huh?
Leo: Well, take all the time you need. Just -- just work it like a pro.
Paolo: The money is too good to mess this up, huh
Leo: All right. Buona fortuna.
Paolo: I won't need luck.
Leo: Oh, one more thing.
Paolo: Yes?
Leo: She loves martinis.
Paolo: Not my favorite, but I fake it.

Dixie: Hello.
Leo: Hey, Dixie.
Dixie: Making friends, I see. Who was that?
Leo: A tourist. What brings you here? And looking lovely as usual.
Dixie: Thank you very much. I'm actually meeting my husband for drinks. He's parking the car.
Leo: So, will I be lucky enough to enjoy your company until he arrives?
Dixie: Sure. Just turn off that continental charm of yours. It's getting sticky.
Leo: Charm off.

Paolo: Scusi. Marian Chandalere?
Marian: Uh -- why, yes. Yes, I am. May I help you?
Paolo: I hope so. You are the ultimo real estate agent in Pine Valley, yes?
Marian: Oh, well, some people might say that, yes.
Paolo: Ah, and so beautiful. I never would guess. Paolo Caselli.
Marian: How do you do?
Paolo: Do you have some time for me? I seem to be homeless.
Marian: Well, I just finished early with a client I was talking to.
Paolo: May we sit?
Marian: Yes, of course. Oh, by the way, are you a buyer or a seller?
Paolo: Well, I am a -- I am a buyer. What a day I have had. I am going to have a martini. May I offer you something?
Marian: Well, I've had my quota of mineral water for the day, so, yes, a martini would be heavenly, thank you.
Paolo: One olive or two?
Marian: Two.

Jake: Don't you be late tomorrow.
Gillian: Uh-uh.
Jake: Um -- one more. One more.
Gillian: No, no.
Jake: Come on.
Gillian: You have to go now, ok?
Jake: No, no.
Gillian: It's almost midnight.
Jake: No, no, no, no.
Gillian: You'll be getting kisses from me for the rest of your life.
Jake: Just one more.

[Knock on door]

Jake: One more.
[Eugenia screams]

[Gillian screams]

Jake: Oh -- ah.
Eugenia: Oh, Jake. Jake. Why are you still here?
Jake: I was -- actually, no, I was just leaving. I was just leaving.
Eugenia: Didn't you hear the clock strike 12:00? I mean, this is dreadful. You are not allowed to see your bride on your wedding day.

Adam: Well, I'm sorry, but I don't feel sorry for Gillian. If she really loved Jake, she would have told him a long time ago that he's not Colby's father.
Liza: Do not stand in judgment of that poor girl. There's nothing in this for her.
Adam: She's lying to Jake. And all the while, he's becoming more and more attached to my daughter.
Liza: You want to blame somebody? Why don't you blame yourself. This deception -- it's yours.

Ryan: Oh, my God.

Liza: You're the one who has compromised all of us.

Ryan: Gillian, what are you doing?

Liza: And I don't want Jake to find out the truth.
Adam: But your cover-up doesn't change the facts. Forgive me for wanting a clean slate, but that's exactly what Jake is going to want when he finds out Gillian has betrayed him.
Liza: He is not going to dump her. She's just trying to keep his heart from being shattered.
Adam: Hogwash. He's going to throttle the princess with her own tiara.
Liza: Well, you know what? Somebody should throttle you. I'm going to go check on Colby.

Ryan: My God, Adam, what have you done?
Adam: No, Ryan. The question is, what are you going to do?
Adam: Organize your thoughts, Ryan. I know this isn't what you expected.
Ryan: How did this happen? Jake was Liza's donor.
Adam: Obviously not. I gave Liza her child.
Ryan: And Liza didn't know about this?
Adam: I planned to tell her.
Ryan: So, what did you do? You switched the sperm samples?
Adam: I've been paying for that act of love in ways you can't even imagine. Ryan: Adam, this is not love.
That is -- that is complete violation.
Adam: All right, save it. I've already been told what a blackguard I am. The point is -- the fact is that Colby is not Jake's. She's mine.
Ryan: How long has Liza known about this?
Adam: Couple of months.
Ryan: And why -- why would you tell Gillian?
Adam: I didn't tell Gillian. David Hayward let that one out. I didn't want anyone to know.
Ryan: Until you were ready.
Adam: At this moment, do my motives and my action mean anything considering what's at stake for Gillian? She's harboring a secret that could ruin her life.
Ryan: Please. Adam, you don't give a damn about Gillian. She's just a loose string as far as you're concerned.
Adam: Well, of course, I tried to keep her quiet. I didn't want her telling Jake. There's no reasoning with that woman, you know.
Ryan: The night of the accident. This all happened the night of the accident. She was so frantic, she was driving like crazy, and all she wanted to do was get to Jake.
Adam: And now you know why. I think you'd better leave. Liza shouldn't find you here. You gave me your word. How you found out about Colby stays between us.
Ryan: Yes, it does. I asked you why you were doing this, and you told me because you owed me for being such a good friend to Hayley. Well, I don't believe that, Adam, and I really, really don't respect you for using it as an excuse.
Adam: Integrity and brains. Good for you. I guess that makes you more than just some man who works for my wife.

Eugenia: I am not going to allow you to tempt fate by seeing my granddaughter on your wedding day.
Jake: Ooh, here we go.
Eugenia: Now, get out of here. It's past midnight.
Jake: Look at this.
Eugenia: Go --
Jake: Ok, ok.
Eugenia: Go, go.
Jake: All right. Bye-bye.
Gillian: He promises he'll forget everything he saw.
Jake: I promise.
Gillian: Right, Jake? Tell her. Tell her.
Jake: I promise, I promise.

[Telephone rings]

Eugenia: Hello?
Ryan: Eugenia. Hi, it's Ryan. Listen, if Gillian is there, please put her on.
Eugenia: I'm sorry. It's very late to make this call, in many respects.
Ryan: I realize that. I really do. But I need to talk to her.
Gillian: Who is it?
Eugenia: Ryan, this isn't helpful. Any contact with my granddaughter is out of the question.
Ryan: Believe me, I would not be making this phone call if it wasn't crucial, Eugenia.
Eugenia: Please, this is not appropriate. On the eve of a wonderful journey, no matter how strong your emotions are, concede. Let Gillian go. Be well.

[Dial tone]

Gillian: What did he want?
Eugenia: Well, what does it matter? Surely you didn't want to answer his phone.
Gillian: No, no. It's just hearing his name brings back so many emotions. And then just thinking about him and Greensleeves making love the night before, claiming he loved her.
Eugenia: Yes, and then abandoning her in the morning and before seeing you. You know, I don't know what's happened to Ryan's life, but you shouldn't have to pay for it.
Gillian: I don't plan to.

Leo: Actually, I'm here because the two most beautiful women in Pine Valley are already taken.
Dixie: Really?
Leo: I'm talking about the ladies from Pigeon Hollow.
Dixie: Oh, my -- does this endless flattery ever get you anywhere?
Leo: Not with the ladies from Pigeon Hollow, no.

Tad: Hey, sweetheart.
Dixie: Baby. Hi.
Tad: Leo, judging from the look on your face, I'd say you're trying to make time with my wife.
Leo: Not a chance, boss.
Tad: Probably just gas. Don't call me boss, ok? Do you call Palmer Cortlandt boss?
Leo: Actually, Palmer likes when I call him "your majesty."
Tad: Exactly. Come away from the strange man before he starts to lick your feet.
Dixie: Actually, he reminds me of somebody I used to know.
Tad: A few marriages ago. Let this be a lesson to you. Stay out of trouble, you might just get as lucky as I did.
Leo: Hmm -- I doubt that will happen.
Tad: I do, too. Excuse me.

Tad: Listen, sweetheart, I know I promised you champagne and caviar for Valentine's Day, and you're going to get it, but I'm afraid we're not going to be alone.
Dixie: What, are you going to invite Leo to join us?
Tad: Yeah, as if I don't see enough of that guy at work. No, no, it's Jake. It's his last night of bachelorhood, a I can't exactly take a couple of strippers over to Myrtle's. So I figured, you know, the least we can do is buy him a stiff drink.
Dixie: Well, that's nice. And no more talk about what it's like being a married man, though. Do you mind?
Tad: I speak nothing but the truth.
Dixie: You'd better.

Paolo: I am accustomed to living in villas, but that was when I had the need for them.
Marian: In Italy? I gather you're not from Pine Valley.
Paolo: Tuscany, yes. I lost my wife there. Sold our homes, but I have no intention of going back.
Marian: You're so young to have had such a loss.
Paolo: Death visit at any age.
Marian: Do you have any children?
Paolo: My wife was some years older. She had children from a previous husband. They are my friend, but they bring back to me painful memory of what I have lost.
Marian: Oh, I understand.
Paolo: Thank you.
Marian: Did your wife do everything to do with your home, Mr. Caselli?
Paolo: You are good. You are very good. Very good observation, Mrs. Chandalere.
Marian: Marian.
Paolo: Marian. Oh, yes. Marian. Yes, my wife -- I depend on her completely, but my hope is that now I can turn to you.
Marian: Well, I mean, you have come to the right place because we will find you a home that you are going to just absolutely adore. I guarantee it.

Becca: I'm so glad we found it. I love it.
Scott: Me, too.
Becca: It's so beautiful.
Scott: Happy Valentine's Day.
Becca: Happy Valentine's Day.
Scott: Whoa, that was some kiss.
Becca: Are we locked in here?
Scott: I don't know.
Becca: Let's find out.
Scott: Ok.
[Becca laughs]

Edmund: Alex, you have no idea what came over you?
Alex: It was adrenaline. I mean, you've heard those stories about mothers getting superhuman strength and pulling a car off their child when it's trapped underneath.
Edmund: Yeah, but what you did took some skill.
Alex: It was a reflex. You would have done the same thing under the circumstances.
Edmund: If I were a Navy Seal, maybe.
Alex: You were the one who ran after the gunman when Palmer was shot, remember?
Edmund: Running I can do. A three-point takedown? I mean, you gave him a backhand, a roundhouse and then a whip kick. That was very impressive. That takes thousands of hours to do that before you get to do it -- what did you call it, reflex? Alex, you've had some training.
Alex: Well, not in the recent past. Certainly not when I was at the height of my medical practice, that's for sure.
Edmund: All right. How about when -- before you were a doctor?
Alex: Of course, yeah. I forgot. When I was hospitalized in Wales. They had a self-defense class for paranoid psychotics. You don't want to mess with us.
Edmund: That's very funny.
Alex: Well --
Edmund: There's a whole chapter in your life that you can't remember.
Alex: No, I am. I'm remembering things about Geoffrey and what happened. It's just something else will come back.
Edmund: All right, listen. I'm just glad you came back. I don't know how you got this skill, but I'm just glad you had it. Because when that guy was waving that pistol at you, I was scared for you. And you're part of family, and I -- I'd like you to stick around.

Dixie: Mmm.
Tad: Wait a minute. I got it. Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart.
Dixie: How sweet.
Tad: Yep. That's why I gave it to you here. I figured if we did it at home, the boys would devour it.
Alex: Well, we could let the boys devour it and just sort of devour each other.
Tad: Well, there's an idea. And there's my brother.
Dixie: Oh. Any wedding jitters?
Tad: How's the groom-to-be, huh?
Jake: Wedding jitters? Rock-steady. But if you see me trembling, it's only pure rage, that's all.
Dixie: Oh.
Jake: Giving Colby over to Liza was just about all I could take.
Dixie: It was a court order. There was nothing you could do.
Tad: Yeah, unless you want Pine Valley's finest showing up at your ceremony to take Colby away.
Jake: That's what kills me. I mean, this isn't just about exchanging a few vows. This is about us starting our family. Why can't Liza find it in her heart just to give Colby to us for the wedding?
Tad: Because Adam is a black hole and Liza's obviously confused.
Jake: Yeah, well --
Tad: He probably put her up to it.
Jake: Liza -- Liza's a good person, but she can be kind of harsh sometimes, too.
Dixie: Excuse me.
Tad: Excuse you where? Why? Where are you going?
Dixie: Well, we're sitting around on our butts drinking champagne cocktails. I think I'm going to go talk to Liza.
Jake: No. No, no, Dixie. Just -- let's just let it lie. It's in the courts right now. I just need to live with that.
Dixie: Well -- why? I don't accept it. Why should you? I mean, it's your wedding. It's your new family -- not your family minus Colby. I mean, you deserve to have her there.
Tad: Let her try.
Dixie: Yeah. I mean, when you hold Colby in your arms tomorrow, consider it a wedding present from me.

Adam: You look troubled. Is Colby all right?
Liza: Yeah. She's still running the fever from the teething, but I got a phone call from the night supervisor at the station. He's ankle-deep in water, and I need to go down there.
Adam: Oh. Fine. I'll tell the nanny that you've left, and I'll sit with Colby.
Liza: No, no. Harriet's gone. I gave Winifred the night off.
Adam: Oh, good, good. Excellent. That'll give me some private time to watch Colby sleeping.
Liza: No. I'll call Ryan, and I'll have him go down to the station and take care of it.
Adam: No, no. Hold on. Ryan -- he was totally distracted when he left here. You really should go and deal directly with the insurance people and the cleanup crews.
Liza: What are you doing?
Adam: Well, I'm trying to help.
Liza: I don't like your concept of help. You just want a few moments alone with Colby. Then you'll get ideas.
Adam: Oh, Liza.
Liza: You'd blow up WRCW if you thought it would get me out of this house so you could be alone with her for a few minutes.
Adam: Are you suggesting that I am responsible for the water main break at the station?
Liza: This from a sperm-switcher. Oh, how could I possibly question you?
Adam: All right. You have a point. A very good point. I was thinking about sweeping Colby off to the far reaches of the earth. But I wouldn't have a moment's joy if you weren't there with us.
Liza: Despite everything you've done?
Adam: Despite everything. I've been clumsy and foolish in trying to bring us back together, but that's all I ever really wanted. Leaving is the farthest thought from my mind. So Colby and I will be here when you return. You can lock us in the saferoom if you'd like.
Liza: Don't tempt me.

Gillian: This is for us, Jake. The flame is our hearts.

[Gillian lights a candle]

[Window opens]

Gillian: Ryan?
Ryan: I couldn't stay away, Princess.
Gillian: Ryan, how dare you. Get out.
Ryan: Please just hear what I have to say.
Gillian: No. I want you to leave.
Ryan: You marry Jake, and you're going to regret it, Gillian.
Gillian: You can't get past your own regrets, can you, Ryan? Have you suddenly realized something about us? Why now? Because I have someone else in my life? I bet if I didn't have Jake in my life, you wouldn't even be here.
Ryan: I know why you're rushing into this marriage, Gillian.
Gillian: No, you don't know anything.
Ryan: Jake is not Colby's father.
Gillian: Oh, Ryan. That is absurd. Is this what you've come to?
Ryan: I know that Adam is her real father, Gillian. I know that. And I see you're on a mission, desperate to help Jake win the custody battle for Colby. I see that, and I understand that that decision is coming from the best possible place -- from love, from compassion. But you're making a mistake, Gillian.
Gillian: Don't you dare tell me what my mistakes are, ok, Ryan? And don't presume that you still have a place in my heart like you think you do. You can't possibly know what I'm thinking.
Ryan: I admire your courage. The night of the accident, you were going to see Jake. You wanted to tell him then.
Gillian: Because he deserved to hear the news from somebody who cared about him.
Ryan: What changed?
Gillian: It doesn't matter, Ryan. Did Jake deserve what Adam did to him? He's a beautiful, sweet man, and I will do anything to make him happy.
Ryan: What is this marriage going to be built on, Gillian? You're lying to him. You must be torn up inside with this secret.
Gillian: I love him, ok? And that's enough.
Ryan: Then why don't you tell him?
Gillian: Because he's the best father for Colby.
Ryan: That is not your decision to make, Gillian.
Gillian: That is exactly what Liza wanted in the first place.
Ryan: But that's when he was willing to share the custody of the child. You still have time to tell him the truth, Gillian. Somebody has got to tell him.
Gillian: Don't you dare think that is going to be you.

Jake: Ok, give it to me. What are your pearls of wisdom, Mr. Multimarried one?
Tad: Basically, don't do anything I did before the third time I married Dixie. After that --

[Tad knocks on table]

Tad: Thank God, everything's been great.
Jake: Wow. Ok, let me get this straight. So I need to treat my future wife like you treated your current wife the third time around, disregarding the first two screwups and all events preceding the whole chicken suit thing.
Tad: Exactly. Should be a snap. Basically, there's only two words that should mean anything to a married man.
Jake: More sex?
Tad: Actually, I was going to say truth and honesty, but I like yours better.
Jake: Yeah? Well, good. Then I think Gillian and I are in good shape. O: I can't do this.

Adam: Well, if you don't, I guarantee you your mother will be on the street and you will be behind bars. The one sin Palmer Cortlandt cannot ever forgive is disloyalty

Paolo: Care for another?
Marian: Oh, no, I really shouldn't.
Paolo: Oh, who says? You must tell me more about Pine Valley. I see they have some very, very big estates on the lake. You have to tell me which one I should have.
Marian: Well, I'd be delighted to.
Paolo: Because I am a man who knows what he wants.
Marian: Well, you're a realtor's dream. Excuse me. I have to call my husband and tell I'm going to be a little delayed.
Paolo: That is very considerate.
Marian: Oh, yes. Well, I call him at least 15 times a day just to hear his gorgeous, wonderful voice.
Paolo: Hmm. Well, I will order a martini, hmm?
Marian: A little less vermouth this time and three olives. Thank you.

[Speaking Italian] Marian: Hello, lover. How are you, darling?

Paolo: Two martini. Wet, three olive.
Leo: You're making progress.
Paolo: Always. But she no stop talk about the husband.
Leo: Marian may be that rare bird who really is true to her mate.
Paolo: No such thing. I have always been the right man, the right place, at the right time. Are you growing a conscience on me, Leo? Hmm?
Leo: Just do your job. Now, what's the plan? Make it exact.
Paolo: Leo, I am an artiste, huh? I will improvise. But I will earn every dollar you pay me.
Leo: How long is this going to take?
Paolo: A day, maybe two. I will let you know when I am about to get Marian up to my room. You just make sure the husband show up on cue, huh?
Leo: Right. Right.

Adam: Da-da. Can you say da-da? Da-da. That's me. Da-da. Here, let's make a wish. Hey, a wish. Let's wish that Ryan tells Jake the truth about us tonight.

[Colby talks]

Adam: Da-da, yeah. And you can grow up, and you won't even know who Jake is. And I swear you'll never have to look at a Martin as long as you live.

[Footsteps approach]

Adam: All right?
Dixie: Hi, Adam. Winifred let me in before she left.
Adam: This house has an intercom. I would like for Winifred to learn to use it. This is a little late for a social call, isn't it?
Dixie: Actually, I'm here to see Liza. Do you know when she's going to be back?
Adam: No. There was some kind of an emergency down at the station. What's this about? Colby and I were enjoying some private time together.
Dixie: I can see that. Well, Jake would like a little private time with her as well, especially on his wedding day. I have an idea. Maybe you could help me convince Liza to let Jake have Colby on his wedding day.

Scott: There's got to be another exit out of here. I mean, isn't there some fire escapes or something?
Becca: We are locked in, Scott.
Scott: Oh, this is not working out to be the perfect little Valentine's date I had all planned out.
Becca: Well, why don't we go window shopping and look for your Valentine's Day present?
Scott: I've got that all worked out.
Becca: Oh, you do?
Scott: I do. Hey, you know what? I want to preserve this moment. We have no photos of the two of us together.
Becca: Oh, no. I really shouldn't. I always look like a drunk or a convict when I get in these things. I have terrible timing. Ask me. Ask me to come in. Ask me to come in now.
Scott: Get in here. Come on. Quick, quick, quick, quick! All righty, there's a photo.

Edmund: Nothing went through your mind when that maniac got a hold of you?
Alex: Well, yeah. I was frightened. And then -- then I felt really angry. I swear to you, the next thing I remember is I was watching myself take this guy out. That's honest.
Edmund: Ok. Can we try something? Just you and me. We'll try to recreate what happened, and maybe --
Alex: What?
Edmund: No, I'll be the robber. Maybe it'll help jog your memory. Ok.
Alex: No. What if I hurt you?
Edmund: I'll take that chance.
Alex: Yeah, well, be careful.
Edmund: Ok. Now, he had you -- he had you like this, right? His arm was out here, and he held you. Ok, now, you ready? Try to throw me.
Alex: No, I can't do this.
Edmund: Come on. You can do it. What's the matter? You don't remember anything? You don't feel anything?
Alex: Not the same thing.
Alex: No, it was a fluke.
Edmund: It was -- I think it's a safer bet that your -- ahem -- martial arts training goes under the -- one of those lost chapters of your memory. I don't think it was an accident.
Alex: Which is why I should find someplace else to live. You should stay as far away from me as possible.

Becca: This has turned out to be a much better date than we planned, huh?
Scott: Look. Someone left a boom box.

[Music plays]

Singer: Maybe it's intuition some things you just don't question like in your eyes I see my future in an instant and there it goes

Guard: I prefer dancing at S.O.S. Myself.
Becca: We got locked in.
Guard: Really? You mean you don't have your own entrance? Let's go.
Scott: Can we finish the dance? It's Valentine's Day.
Becca: Please?
Guard: Five minutes.
Becca: Thank you.

Singers: I knew I loved you before I met you

Scott: You know, I was ready to stay here all night.
Becca: Me, too.

Singers: I knew I loved you before I met you I have been waiting all my life

Adam: I'm not going to help you convince Liza to do anything. Colby does not belong at Jake's wedding any more than I do.
Dixie: She's his daughter, Adam. Adam: Yes, and her mother forbids her to see Jake Martin, which is fine with me.
Dixie: Why? Because it was your idea? You're always into something, you know? Whether it's controlling a merger or controlling a child.
Adam: Now, what does that mean?
Dixie: What does that mean? You've got to be kidding me. Junior? You tried to run his whole life. You're doing the same thing with Colby.
Adam: Before Jake sends you out to do his bidding in the future, you might remind him that he's the one that started this custody fight. And Liza is fighting him on direct instructions from her attorney. And I couldn't be happier.

Liza: Dixie, hi. What are you doing here?
Adam: She's running errands for the Martin Cartel.
Dixie: I might as well get straight to the point. I'm here to ask you to please let Jake have Colby on his wedding day. It would mean so much to him. I mean, and -- you had Jake at your and Adam's wedding. I think he even held Colby during the ceremony, right?
Liza: I remember. I remember.
Dixie: Don't let her, like, look at her dad's wedding pictures years from now and wonder where she was.
Adam: Dixie, perhaps I was a little harsh earlier. We're all very emotional right now. Colby shouldn't suffer just because the adults can't come to terms. So, Colby should be included in both her parents' lives, whatever the final outcome.
Liza: Has her fever broken?
Adam: Yes, it's gone down some.
Liza: She's teething. So, I suppose it's a painful time for everyone. If her fever has broken by the morning, she can go.
Dixie: Thank you so much.

Adam: Well, I don't think there's any hurry to get you dressed, my darling. Because after Ryan spills his guts, I don't think there's going to be any wedding.

Gillian: Ryan, please, please, don't tell this to Jake. Please, just leave Colby out of this.
Ryan: The only person I'm interested in is you, Gillian. Who gets Colby is none of my business, and it shouldn't be yours, either.
Gillian: I've made it mine.
Ryan: Yes, you have. And when Jake finds out -- and believe me, he's going to find out -- you're going to lose everything that you're fighting for right now. He's going to lose Colby, and I'm sorry to say this, but he is going to hate you for --
Gillian: Don't say that.
Ryan: You've suffered enough pain for a lifetime, Gillian, most of -- most of which was caused by me. And I will not stand by and watch you get hurt again.
Gillian: Jake loves me. And other than Colby, I'm the most important thing in his life.
Ryan: Then why don't you put that to the test. Tell him. If you two really have something, if you really have something -- and I mean this -- then trust it. We never did, Gillian. Our marriage was so full of lies that no wonder it didn't work out. Why even settle for one lie when you're going to spend a lifetime with somebody?
Gillian: Ryan -- please.
Ryan: Let me take you back to Jake. Maybe it'll work out, and maybe it won't. But you have to be honest to find that out.

Edmund: You want to move out? Why, Alex?
Alex: Because in the middle of a perfectly normal afternoon, I suddenly remember that I killed a man. I pushed David down the stairs, and I come this close to doing it again.
Edmund: That was because he pushed you that time.
Alex: Now literally erupting out of me are lethal skills which I apparently have absolutely no control over. Is that somebody that you want to live around, or your children?
Edmund: This is your home, ok? This is your home, and not because Dimitri asked me to watch out for you. It's because your family and I care about you. I do.
Alex: Oh, I'm so sorry you ever got involved in this.
Edmund: I'm not.

Marian: So, cheers.

[Speaking Italian]

Scott: Well, I am going to order one of everything.
Becca: Who is that with your stepmother?

Marian: Thank you.

Scott: I don't have a clue.

Leo: And so we begin.

Tad: And it's up. Oh. No good.
Jake: Ok, maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion. I mean, it shouldn't be that big of a deal that Colby's at the wedding. The important thing is to get custody of her.
Tad: No, man. You said it yourself. This is the beginning of your new family, kiddo. I mean, everybody involved should be there from the start.
Jake: She's not going to remember whether she was there or not.
Tad: But we will. Hey, honey, tell me something good.
Dixie: I hope you have a nice little dress for Colby. Flowers, champagne, please. Mission accomplished.
Tad: Are you serious?
Dixie: I'm serious.
Jake: I can't believe it.
Dixie: I did it.
Jake: Thank you so much. She's incredible.
Dixie: You're welcome.
Tad: I've been saying that for years.
Here. Want some chocolate?
Jake: Gillian's going to flip.

Gillian: I'm going to marry Jake. I've made my choice, and we're going to fight for Colby.
Ryan: Would you listen to yourself, please? You'd rather lie --
Gillian: Ryan, please don't try and convince me otherwise. I've made up my mind. Go -- go -- go to Greensleeves, whatever. Twist her life around.
Ryan: What are you talking about?
Gillian: Green Leaf, Green Tea, whatever.
Ryan: I'm not seeing her.
Gillian: Maybe not tonight.
Ryan: Believe me, Gillian, that's over.
Gillian: Believe you, Ryan? You are the best liar I've ever met in my life. Now, I want you to get out of my room. Get out before I scream. I swear I will.
Ryan: I would be willing to lose you, Gillian, if I was convinced that what you felt for each other was strong, was beautiful, was honest. But whatever you say you feel for him cannot possibly compare to my love for you.
Gillian: Ryan.
Ryan: Yes. Yes, Gillian, I love you. From the deepest part of me, I love you, and I know you love me, too. And I will not be that guy who stands back and dreams about his past when he's got this incredible future ahead of him -- this beautiful future. It's you, Gillian. It's always been you, and I'm ready now. I can handle it. And let me tell you something. There is nobody else out there that can love you the way I can. And I want to start. I want to start right now.
