ALL MY CHILDREN

FEBRUARY 15, 2000

Hayley: I got to tell you, I thought that was a great movie.
Janet: Yeah. The scenery was so beautiful. I could live in Italy anytime.
Hayley: Yeah. What did you think, Brooke?
Brooke: Oh, you know me.
Hayley: Oh, no.
Brooke: I thought it was ok.
Janet: I guess the book was better. You know how literary types are.
Brooke: Well, actually, there's a French adaptation of the book where the killer doesn't get away with murder.
Janet: What's that supposed to mean?
Brooke: Nothing.
Janet: Well, you picked the movie. Must be a reason.
Brooke: Who can resist a movie with Matt Damon?
Mateo: Enough about the flick. Let's -- let's -- we have celebrating to do, don't we?
Janet: Indeed. I'm so glad you guys are back together.
Brooke: Listen, everybody order. This is on me.
Mateo: You don't have to do that. Come on.
Brooke: Oh, come on. It isn't every night that moms get to stay our past their curfew. Oh, we're so --
Janet: Humor us.
Waiter: What can I get you all?
Hayley: I'll just have a mineral water, please.
Mateo: Yeah. And since she's buying, I'll have a mineral water, too.
Brooke: Would you stop? Same here.
Janet: Me, too. I guess that's mineral water all the way around.
Brooke: Thanks. We're so exciting. So, is it still a secret?
Hayley: Well, not to the people we love.
Mateo: Yeah. We're going to throw a party at S.O.S., Make it official.
Janet: So, have you made any wedding plans yet?
Hayley: Oh, you know, I'm so sublimely happy, I don't know if I can even get past this.
Janet: Hey, you're glowing.
Brooke: A public place. Let's have a toast. Everyone get their mineral water, and we'll have a toast. Now, I would just like to say, to decades of wedded happiness to two people who deserve nothing but the best.

Tad: Careful, careful.
Jake: Wait, wait. Back, back, back. I have another toast. I have another toast. No, no. Listen to me. Listen, listen. This is to you, Blondie.
Tad: I'm cutting you off.
Jake: Dixie Cooney Martin for making the best day of my life even better now that Colby's a part of it. Thank you very much.
Dixie: , You're very, very welcome. Colby belongs with you tomorrow.
Jake: So, do you have some kind of serious mojo to get past Adam?
Tad: I'll say.
Jake: Did he put up a fight?
Tad: I don't want to brag.
Dixie: Well, I wish I could say that I tackled him to the ground and sort of pummeled him, but, no, indeed. He turned into this big softy.
Tad: No way.
Dixie: Yes, he did. He did. You know, I think he was trying to score points with Liza.
Joe: Well, I don't care who agreed to what first. I'm just delighted that you're getting your dream -- a life with Gillian.
Ruth: And Colby.
Joe: Ah, yes. And we wish you nothing but happiness, all of you.
Jake: Speaking of Gillian and Colby -- I know I go on and on and on and on --
Tad: And on and on.
Jake: Ok. All right. All right. It's my time. But they are very important to me. But it's this family that is the core of my heart. And the biggest gift I can give Colby and Gillian is to share all of you with them.
Joe: To family.
Ruth: To family.
Dixie: To love.

Gillian: No. No.
Ryan: I've always, always loved you, Gillian. You've got to believe me, Princess. Please. It's taken me a long time to realize it. It has. But living without you -- it's made me realize how much I really do love you. I've never stopped. And I don't want to. Don't marry Jake. Please don't marry Jake. Let me be the one to love you the way you deserve to be loved -- with passion, with fire from my soul, from my body. Gillian, please, for the rest of my life. Gillian -- Gillian, baby, every word I'm saying to you is the truth. I love you.
Gillian: Get out!

Alex: Oh, you have to think about this, Edmund. What if something were to happen to you because of me?
Edmund: I'm involved, ok? I'm not going back. I'm not changing my mind.
Alex: Something in my history has made me act violently. And I would never forgive myself if --
Edmund: You won't. You won't. We are so close to getting the truth. Now, don't stop now.
Alex: This is awful.
Edmund: I know it is. But we're real close. Now, promise me -- it's going to be over soon. Promise me you're not going to move out of this place.
Alex: You're so bloody stubborn, aren't you?

[Knock on door]

Edmund: You expecting somebody?
Eugenia: Oh.
Edmund: Eugenia, come on in. Are you all right?
Eugenia: Oh, dear, I'm so sorry to interrupt, but the phone -- I couldn't get through.
Alex: Oh. I unplugged it. I didn't want to be disturbed. Sorry.
Eugenia: That's all right.
Edmund: What's happened?
Eugenia: I went to check on Gillian, sure that she was sleeping, and I heard voices in her room.
Edmund: Well, maybe that's just, you know, Jake, wanted to see her before the wedding.
Eugenia: My darling, I sent Jake away hours ago.
Edmund: Well, maybe he snuck back in.
Eugenia: My dear, it is Ryan. We've got to do something.
Edmund: Are you sure?
Eugenia: Yes, of course I'm sure. I know his voice. I'm sure that he's weaving some sort of fantasy just to confuse Gillian. Please come with me. We've got to stop him.
Edmund: Will you excuse us?
Alex: Yeah, of course. Go.
Edmund: Ok. Come on.

Jake: Mom?
Ruth: Yeah?
Jake: You all right?
Ruth: Yeah, sure. Fine. I'm just -- it's all been a kind of a whirlwind, you know?
Jake: Yeah.
Ruth: That's all. I mean, a few months ago, you told us that you were in love with a girl that I barely knew that you were dating. And I mean, now you're getting married.
Jake: Yeah. You think I'm pushing her?
Ruth: No, it isn't that. I just -- I know how desperately you have wanted to get custody of Colby. I just want to make sure that you're not rushing into this because of some kind of lawsuit or something.
Jake: Well, we are pushing up the wedding because of the hearing. But it -- it doesn't feel rushed, Mom. It feels right.
Ruth: Well honey, it's just that -- I don't know. Gillian seems so very fragile to me. You know what I mean?
Jake: Mm-hmm.
Ruth: It's been -- it's been a terribly tough year for her. She lost Dimitri, who was like a father to her. She almost died herself in that horrible accident.
Jake: So what are you saying, Mom? That she's marrying me because she's grateful to me as a doctor? Or I'm trying to replace Dimitri? Maybe she's marrying me because she loves me.
Ruth: No, darling, of course she loves you. Of course she loves you. No, it's just that it's -- she's been through a very tumultuous time lately. It was not very long ago she was -- she was married to Ryan. And now she's about to become a wife again -- and a mother. And all of this after an engagement of less than a heartbeat.
Jake: Gillian and Ryan have been divorced for a while, and she says they're out of each other's lives for good, and I believe her, Mom. I do.

Ryan: Don't do it. Don't mistake misguided duty for love, Gillian.
Gillian: I am marrying Jake, and nothing you can say will change that.
Ryan: But you don't love him.
Gillian: I do! Any woman would be lucky to be his wife.
Ryan: But you are not any woman, Gillian.
Gillian: Ryan, I am going to do this. This is the right thing.
Ryan: You want to help a man who helped you. You got hurt, so you want to play it safe. Those are not reasons to get married. Gillian, do not deny your real feelings.
Gillian: You stopped me when I wanted to marry Scott because you claimed you loved me. And now you want to stop me from marrying Jake because you love me, it was a lie, Ryan, then, and it's a lie now.
Ryan: I have never been more honest about anything in my whole life, Gillian. I swear to you. You go through with this wedding, and you're the one who's going to be living a lie.
Gillian: Stop it.
Ryan: I can't stop it. I can't stop it because I can't stop what I feel. And you know what? Neither can you. Whether you believe me or you don't, whether you love me or you don't, I'm telling you this -- I have never loved anybody else.

Greenlee's voice: Ryan told me that he loved me, that I was the only woman that could ever make him feel that way.

Ryan: You got to believe me, Princess.
Gillian: No. No. This is a trick.
Ryan: No. No, this is real.
Gillian: You say you love me in the moonlight, and then when the sun comes up, who knows what you're going to feel, Ryan? You say you love me, but I know you. I know. I've learned to believe that everything you say, I can't trust that.
Ryan: That was the past, Gillian. Please believe me. That was the past. This is now -- and the future, our future.

Edmund: Gillian, you all right?
Gillian: Edmund, just please -- just get him out of here.

Janet: Do you think your mother's heard about Trevor?
Hayley: Well, I guess not. I mean, otherwise we would have seen her by now on whatever trash tabloid show waved some money in front of her face, talking about her, you know, poor, missing brother out on the lam. You know, forcing those crocodile tears of hers. I swear, if we catch one whiff of her before the wedding ceremony, we're eloping.
Janet: Weddings. Oh, I forgot. Gillian called you.
Hayley: Well, what did she want?
Janet: She said if you still wanted a picture of her in her wedding dress, your photographer should be there two hours before the wedding.
Hayley: Guess that means we're still invited.
Brooke: Why wouldn't you still be invited?
Hayley: Well, we did something. I mean, Ryan has a problem with this whole Jake-Gillian thing, and he wanted me to sort of arrange for them to be alone together. And the meeting didn't go very well, so, you know, there's that.

Tiffany: Oh, I don't want to barge in, but, Hayley, I've just got to tell you, I am ga-ga over your new show. The one you did on romance -- sizzling!
Hayley: Oh, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks.
Tiffany: Yeah. But now I just got to find a guy to practice on.
Hayley: Oh, well.

Tiffany: What gives? Did you guys want Hayley's autograph?
Woman: How about one from Trevor Dillon's wife?
Tiffany: Janet?
Woman: Oh, and not just any wife, Janet from another planet.
Second woman: Mr. And Mrs. Killer Diller are total fruit loops.
Tiffany: You both are sick. I baby-sit for their daughter. And Janet Dillon happens to be one of my boss' best friends.
Woman: I can't believe we're eating at the same restaurant --
Second woman: As the crowbar killer!
Tiffany: Shh. Knock it off.

Hayley: Just ignore them, really.
Janet: You're right.

Woman: She doesn't look crazy.
Tiffany: She isn't. Would you stop?
Woman: You can't tell by looking.
Second woman: Hey. Wasn't her husband a cop?
First woman: Uh-huh. Before he turned psycho. Maybe it's contagious.

Hayley: No, no, Janet.
Janet: Look, if you've got something to say about my husband, why don't you say it to my face? Or don't you have the guts?
Janet: My husband is a hero.
Mateo: Janet --
Janet: Trevor Dillon is one of the bravest, kindest men I've ever known. Now, you say whatever you want to about me, but not about him. He's not a killer. He didn't do it. And if you say one more word against my husband, I --
Brooke: Janet. Listen, listen -- we all know what a wonderful man Trevor is. Let's sit down, ok? Let's continue our celebration.
Janet: I really -- I don't feel like celebrating anymore.
Tiffany: I'm so sorry, Janet. My friends are idiots. Their mouths aren't connected to their brains. Why don't you come into the Glamorama tomorrow, and I'll give you a free manicure with a paraffin dip and a special massage.
Janet: Thanks.
Brooke: It's kind of late. Do you want to head home?
Mateo: Yeah. Why don't I take you home.
Hayley: Yeah, come on. Janet: No.
It's ok. You -- you stay here and have fun. I -- I'm just really tired. I'm going to go to bed.
Brooke: I think that's a great idea. Listen, bye, you guys. We'll see you. And I'm so happy for you, really.
Hayley: Thanks.
Janet: Good night.
Mateo: Good night.

Mateo: What just happened?
Hayley: You know Janet. She's like a mama cub when it comes to protecting Uncle Trevor and Amanda.
Mateo: No. That was out there.
Hayley: Come on. You heard those girls. They were awful. I mean, what choice did she have? She was protecting him.
Mateo: She said Trevor wasn't a killer. What was she talking about?
Hayley: How should I know? Don't you want some cheese fries?
Mateo: No. No, no, no, no. And I saw you and Brooke look at each other when she said that. There's something else going on here, right?
Hayley: Yeah.
Mateo: Are you going
to tell me? Hayley: No. I promised Janet I wouldn't tell you. Look, it's -- it's getting very hard to keep it from you because we tell each other everything. And especially after everything we've been through, I feel like we shouldn't hold back anymore.
Mateo: Right.
Hayley: Uncle Trevor didn't kill that woman.

Ruth: Gillian is a lovely, lovely girl. But if there is any chance that she's still confused, honey --
Jake: Mom, Gillian and Ryan were married once. And maybe there's still some -- I don't know, some kind of connection there. But trust me. Trust me. She wants to start a new life with Colby a me, all right?
Ruth: Ok.
Jake: It's going to be fine.

Joe: What's going on here?
Jake: Well, we were just talking about how lucky I am.
Ruth: That's right. Well, the party's over, right?
Dixie: Yes. If we're going to have a wedding in here, we should do something, don't you think?
Ruth: I think a little bit of something.
Tad: Well, fine. No. Just tell us where to start. We'll help.
Dixie: Anywhere but here. Don't you have a bachelor party or something you have to finish?
Jake: Uh-uh.
Ruth: Yes. I'm sure you do. And I'm telling you, all men are going to be off this property in five minutes.
Joe: Well, men, did you hear that? We're being thrown out.
Jake: I'm getting kind of tired, so I'm going to call it a night and head back to Myrtle's
Tad: No, you're not. Uh-uh. I haven't made my toast yet, and until I do, nobody's getting any shuteye. We're going for another round.
Jake: No, no.
Tad: No. It's your last gasp, baby. Your last taste of freedom, guy.
Joe: Well, then where to, party animal?
Tad: Walk this way.
Ruth: But not like that.
Joe: I'll do my best.
Dixie: Get out. Get out. Get out.
Joe: Here we go.
Jake: I can't wait for Gillian to be a part of this family.
Dixie and Ruth: Good-bye!

Edmund: Ryan, I don't know what's going on here, but your timing stinks.
Ryan: Gillian's making a big mistake, Edmund.
Gillian: No. He's completely lost his mind. I've asked him to leave. He won't.
Edmund: Ok, let's go.
Ryan: This is so wrong. This is so wrong.
Eugenia: Ryan, Ryan, Ryan. I've always been so fond of you. Please don't change that. Please, please do what Gillian asks.
Ryan: Eugenia, you don't understand.
Edmund: Come on, let's -- we'll just straighten this out later, ok?
Ryan: No. This has got to be settled right now.
Gillian: Edmund, please just get him out of here.
Ryan: She doesn't know what she wants.
Eugenia: That's not for you to say.
Ryan: She's making a mistake if she marries Jake, believe me. And she knows why, because this is a lie, Gillian.
Gillian: Don't talk to me like I'm not here! Edmund, please just don't listen to him. Make him go away.
Edmund: Now, let's go come on.
Ryan: All right. Fine, fine, fine. I'm going. I'm going. I will leave as soon as you tell me that you're not marrying Jake.
Gillian: I am marrying Jake.
Ryan: You can't marry Jake. Edmund, please make her understand she can't marry him. Not when she loves me.
Ryan: This is your last chance, Gillian -- your last chance to do what's right.
Gillian: That's exactly what I'm doing, Ryan. For once, I'm doing the right thing. Edmund, please.
Edmund: I'm sorry, Ryan.

Eugenia: Darling, what has Ryan been telling you?
Gillian: You heard him. He says it's a mistake to marry Jake.
Eugenia: Well, darling, he'll always have a feeling for you. I mean, now that you're marrying another man, I suppose he realizes what he's lost.
Gillian: That's not all, Grandmama. He knows that Jake is not Colby's father.
Eugenia: Oh, dear. That's not good. But it's not really his concern.
Gillian: Is he right, Grandmama? Am I -- am I making a mistake to marry Jake, keeping this secret from him?
Eugenia: You are following your heart, aren't you?
Gillian: Ryan told me that he loves me.
Eugenia: Ah. Do you love him?
Gillian: It's just all lies because he wants to stop me from marrying Jake and he wants to sleep with another woman.
Eugenia: Another woman? You mean Greenlee?
Gillian: Oh, he just confuses me so much.
Eugenia: Well, the only way to unsnarl confusion is to confront it face to face. Did you tell Ryan that you knew about him and Greenlee?
Gillian: No. I wouldn't have gotten a real answer anyway. He just twists the truth around. It would have just confused me more. I'm getting married tomorrow. This is supposed to be the happiest ay of my life. Am I doing what's best?
Eugenia: Sweetheart, only you can answer that.
Gillian: How?
Eugenia: Oh, I don't know. By looking into yourself. What do you see? What do you see?
Gillian: A man who fills every part of me and a child who needs the best father.
Eugenia: Well, then there's your answer. You're going to marry Jake and have a wonderful life with your husband and your child. You don't think that Ryan would ever tell Jake that Colby isn't his child?
Gillian: No, no. He said he wouldn't.
Eugenia: Yes, but he's been so relentless at trying to stop this marriage. Are you sure he wouldn't?

Hayley: Oh. Why are you three out past your bedtime?
Mateo: Hey. Looks like a bachelor party.
Tad: You want to join the conga line?
Mateo: Yeah, I will in a bit.
Tad: Ok.
Mateo: Ok.
Hayley: Congratulations, Jake.
Jake: Thank you very much.
Mateo: Yeah, congrats.
Jake: Thanks.

Tad: Just think, little brother, soon you'll be racing home to Gillian for some nice home-cooked meals.
Jake: Wait a minute. Don't use "Gillian" and "home-cooked meal" in the same sentence.
Tad: Does she know you're allergic to anchovies?
Jake: Yeah.
Joe: Well, now that we've gotten them| I'd like to make my toast.
Jake: Ok.
Joe: May you live all the days of your life. And with Gillian and Colby, you'll do that with love and laughter.
Jake: Thanks, Dad.

Hayley: Janet was afraid that Sophie was going to kill Trevor and Amanda.
Mateo: So the solution was to kill Sophie?
Hayley: She was scared out of her mind. She didn't think she had any other choice. It wasn't like it was, you know, out-and-out murder. It was practically in self-defense.
Mateo: Self-defense? What are you talking about? She lured her to the warehouse, and then she tried to kill her.
Hayley: Right. Not only that, she set a booby trap, which I unfortunately showed up first and I set it off.
Mateo: Wait, wait, wait. You ran into Janet's booby trap?
Hayley: Yeah. Thank god she's no engineer. It just bopped me on the head, but --
Mateo: It knocked you out. You nearly died in that fire. What are you talking about?
Hayley: But I didn't die because of you.
Mateo: Hayley, she killed Sophie. She nearly killed you. Trevor's on the run because of her. None of this is right.
Hayley: Mateo, just think about it for a minute, will you?
Mateo: Think about what? That she almost killed the woman I love? I can't.
Hayley: Janet asked me to forgive her, and I have. Now I want you to do the same.
Mateo: No. Just do me a favor -- stay away from her.
Hayley: Honey, I'm not going to do that. Janet needs her family and her friends now more than ever.
Mateo: What about her family? What about Amanda? What if Janet thinks that somebody else is after her and then she decides to lash out? What if Amanda's in her line of fire?
Hayley: Amanda will be fine, really. Listen, Janet knows that she needs help, ok? Brooke has convinced her to see a psychiatrist.
Mateo: And you're sure she's not a threat to anyone?
Hayley: She really, really wants to get better. She'll be ok. You'll see.

Janet: Oh. It's for you.
Brooke: Oh. Thanks. Actually, I knew I was going to be leaving the office early today, so I asked them to messenger my mail over. I hope that's ok.
Janet: Sure. Boy, you get a lot of mail.
Brooke: Well, it's mostly junk. And mostly, I toss it. Anyway, I'll look at it tomorrow morning. Are you still upset?
Janet: No, not really. Well, maybe just a little bit. Would you mind making us a pot of herbal tea?
Brooke: Yeah, sure. That would be great. Be sort of relaxing. I'll be right back.

Janet: That looks like Trevor's writing. Why is he writing to Brooke?
Janet: "I love you so much. I can't wait to hold you. The smell of your neck --"
Brooke: The tea will be ready in a minute. Janet?
Janet: How long has this been going on?
Brooke: What?
Janet: How long have you been having an affair with Trevor?
Brooke: You think I'm having an affair with Trevor?
Janet: Don't you think I recognize my own husband's handwriting? Oh, no, you're not going to destroy the evidence.
Brooke: Where did you get that?
Janet: It came with the rest of the mail you had delivered from your office. Are there more? Does he write you more than one love letter a day?
Brooke: Janet, wait. All right, just calm down. This letter was not meant for me. It was meant for you.
Janet: Well, it's addressed to you.
Brooke: Because your mail is monitored, your phone is tapped. There are reporters that still snoop around here. The only way that Trevor can communicate with you, at least for the time being, is through me. Do you understand?
Janet: But he says these things to you.
Brooke: No. No, they're not meant for me. They're meant for you. I agreed to let Trevor send mail to the office so that the F.B.I. And the police couldn't track him.
Janet: How come no one told me?
Brooke: I should have. I --
Janet: So you think I'm stupid and crazy?
Brooke: Read the letter. Please read the letter.
Janet: "I miss you. Give a kiss to our mandible. I know this is rough, but it's the best way for me to be a husband and a father." Oh, Brooke, I'm so embarrassed. Can you forgive me?
Brooke: Janet, really, it's ok.

Eugenia: Are you worried about Ryan?
Gillian: I just hope that he won't tell Jake that he's not Colby's real father.
Eugenia: Well, you know Ryan very well. He has disappointed you in the past, it's true.
Gillian: Well, he swears that he's changed.
Eugenia: Do you believe him?
Gillian: Is he gone?
Edmund: Yeah, I escorted him off the property -- security.
Gillian: Thank you.
Edmund: Yeah.
Gillian: Thanks, Edmund.
Eugenia: Well, I don't know about you, but it's late, and I need my beauty sleep before the festivities.
Gillian: Good night, Grandmama.
Eugenia: Good night, my love. My love. Same goes for you. I mean, we can't have a bride with great black smudges under her eyes.
Gillian: I'll go right to bed. I promise.
Eugenia: Night-night, sweetheart.
Gillian: Night.

Edmund: Ah, but will you sleep?
Gillian: Probably not.
Edmund: Good night. You know, you don't have to go through with this wedding tomorrow if you don't want to.
Gillian: I want to. I'm going to marry Jake.
Edmund: What did Ryan mean when he said that your marriage would be based on a lie?
Gillian: It was just all in his head.
Edmund: You sure?
Gillian, I love you. And all I care about is your happiness. So if for any reason you've had a change of heart and you want to postpone the wedding or you want to cancel it, you do that, ok? And I will support you no matter what. No matter what you chose.
Gillian: I chose Jake. And I want to go through with this very much.
Edmund: I saw the way that he looked at you, the way you looked at Ryan.
Gillian: There's a lot of memories there. And I'm really tired.
Edmund: I understand. Good night.
Gillian: Good night. Edmund?
Edmund: Hmm?
Gillian: Thank you for -- you're just so kind. And I love you, too.
Edmund: That's not going to change no matter who you marry.

Ryan: I'll have a shot of tequila, please. A double. Double shot.

Hayley: Uh-oh. Ryan looks terrible.
Mateo: Yeah? How terrible?
Hayley: About a double shot's worth of misery.
Mateo: Well, looks like he needs a friend. Why don't you go talk to him.
Hayley: You sure?
Mateo: Yeah. I'll go buy the groom a drink.

Hayley: You know that glass is not nearly big enough for you to drown yourself in.
Ryan: Hey.
Hayley: How'd it go with Gillian?
Ryan: Not so good. I -- I told her I loved her and that she couldn't marry Jake, not until she knows what she wants.
Hayley: She didn't take it too well?
Ryan: No, she didn't.
Hayley: She didn't appreciate you ambushing her on her wedding night to proclaim your undying love?
Ryan: You think I'm being arrogant. I understand. Believe me, Hayley, I know I'm the cause for all this.
Hayley: What did she say?
Ryan: I just -- you know what? I just pushed her closer to Jake. She's got all these reasons -- reasons -- reasons for marrying him.
Hayley: Well, obviously she feels that her reasons are solid.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah, well, I'm just hoping she wakes up and she realizes that I'm right and she calls off this wedding -- or at least she delays it a little while.
Hayley: Ryan, maybe she really loves Jake.
Ryan: She loves me as much as I love her. She does.
Hayley: Well, learning to trust again is not always easy.
Ryan: So -- you know, so what does she do? She opts for safety? Hayley, you know, that's not an answer to me.
Hayley: Oh, come on. Ryan, listen to yourself. She made a choice. You have to respect it.
Ryan: Well, I can't respect it. I can't.
Hayley: Oh, Ryan, you have to. Listen to me. Jake loves Gillian. He loves her. Gillian has made him come to life. I mean, look at him. Look. Turn around and look. Doesn't that speak for itself?
Ryan: No, it really doesn't, actually.
Hayley: Ryan, come on.
Ryan: Hayley, you didn't see her, ok? You don't understand.

Jake: I'll be right back.
Jake: Hello. Can I talk to you for a second? You mind?

Brooke: The tea is ready.
Janet: Brooke, I'm so sorry. You've been nothing but kind to me. And I completely went off on you.
Brooke: Listen, it's ok, really. Really. I think the most important thing is that you're -- you know, you're willing to work through this. I think it was a very brave thing to do to agree to see Dr. Jaffe.
Janet: Well, it was you that convinced me.
Brooke: You know what? I think talking to a professional is really going to help take the pressure off. And before you know it, you're going to be back to your old self.
Janet: I don't want any more things like what happened tonight to happen.
Brooke: They're not going to happen. You know what? I'm really tired, so I'm going to call it a night. Ok. I'll see you in the morning?
Janet: Yeah, I'm just going to turn off the lights and lock up.
Brooke: Ok.
Good night, Janet.
Janet: Good night.

Image: Hey, sucker.
Janet: What do you want?
Image: You didn't actually believe that malarkey, did you?
Janet: Brooke and Trevor are not having a affair.
Image: Oh, who told you that? Brooke? Are you going to believe her or what you actually saw? You see, the black and white don't lie. The letter was for her.
Janet: It was for me. Trevor wrote about being a father and a husband.
Image: Did you see your name on it anywhere? Or Brooke's?
Janet: Trevor had to do that.
Image: Oh, wake up and smell the cow dung, will you? It's obvious that Trevor and Brooke have plans that don't include you.
Janet: I'm not listening to this anymore.
Image: Afraid to face facts? Brooke's going to do what Sophie never could. She's going to take Trevor and Amanda away from you. You better do something to stop it. And pronto.

Alex: Oh, hi.
Edmund: Hi. Um -- did I wake you?
Alex: No, I'm never sleeping again in my entire life. Come on in, please. How's Gillian?
Edmund: She's confused.
Alex: Yeah, sure. Sit down.
Edmund: Thanks.
Alex: What happened?
Edmund: Well, you know, Ryan was there.
Alex: Mm-hmm.
Edmund: And he was trying to convince her that he still loved her and that she shouldn't marry Jake.
Alex: Oh, you're kidding.
Edmund: Yeah, I had to practically drag him out of the house.
Alex: Do you think she does still love Ryan?
Edmund: When they were together, you could just about feel the heat. I don't even know why they broke up. But I guess they had their share of troubles.
Alex: Jake's such a lovely guy, though.
Edmund: He is. There's a warmth and a tenderness there. And she seems happy with him.
Alex: Question is, who does she truly love?
Edmund: Think it's possible to have two great loves in your life?

Ryan: Hayley, will you excuse us?
Hayley: OK, I'm going to go check on the guys.
Ryan: Thanks.
Hayley: Ok. Sorry.
Jake: It's all right. I know how you feel about Gillian. And don't worry, I'll take care of her. I'll always be there for her. She's going to know that she's always loved every day for the rest of her life. That's really it.

Female singer: We cannot turn back
Male singer: We can only turn into one
Singers: I will never be too far away to feel you and I won't hesitate at all

Ryan's voice: I love you. I'll always love you.

Singers: And I'll always remember the part of you so tender I'll be the one to catch your fall whenever you call.
