ALL MY CHILDREN

FEBRUARY 2, 2000

Hayley: Ok. Last one. Nine times eight.
Amanda: I always forget this one. 72.
Hayley: That's 10 in a row. You are so awesome.
Mateo: Very nice.
Hayley: Ok, go get Jamie. Run upstairs, make him come down here. We'll see how he does.
Amanda: He hates math. He'd rather play video games.
Mateo: Yeah, but you like it, right?
Amanda: Yeah. I got 104 on my last test.
Hayley: 104. Now, how is this possible?
Amanda: I did extra credit.
Mateo: I want to see this 104. I don't believe it. You really have it?
Amanda: Sure. It's upstairs in my room.
Mateo: All right. Go get it.

Hayley: You really cheered her up.
Mateo: Yeah. You know, she really misses her dad, you know? I know how much that hurts.
Hayley: You sure it's ok -- I mean, you staying here? Don't you need to get back to the club?
Mateo: No.
Hayley: I know how busy it gets.
Mateo: No, no. Tina and Adrian are taking care of it. It just doesn't make sense. I mean, Trevor couldn't have killed that woman. I mean, there's got to be more to it.
Hayley: All I know is that, of anybody, Uncle Trevor would be happiest with you being like -- you know, like a father figure to Amanda. He always said how great you were with Max.
Mateo: Yeah?
Hayley: Yeah.
Mateo: I can't wait to have about 12 kids of our own.
Hayley: From your lips.
Mateo: Oh, yeah? From my lips? I can do that.

Amanda: It's ok. You don't have to pretend you're just friends. I already saw the ring. You turned it around so I didn't know you were engaged.
Hayley: Wow. Busted.
Mateo: Yep.
Amanda: So I guess this means you're getting married again?
Mateo: I guess so.
Amanda: It's the wish you made on the Christmas angel.
Hayley: Maybe.
Amanda: I keep it in my room now. And every night I wish my daddy would come home. Guess it only works on Christmas.
Hayley: Honey, miracles can happen any time of the year.
Mateo: Yeah.
Hayley: So don't give up hope.
Amanda: Never.

Janet: You'd think the reporters could at least help me carry the bags in.
Mateo: I'll get those.
Janet: Ok, thanks. Hey, everybody.
Hayley: Hey.
Janet: Look at you. You changed your hair.
Hayley: Yeah, well, I figured, you know, new show and all, I'd get a new look.
Amanda: And Hayley and Mateo are engaged.
Janet: What?
Hayley: Oh -- yeah.
Amanda: Isn't the ring beautiful?
Janet: When did this happen?
Hayley: Well, let's see. The hair happened this morning and the ring last night.
Janet: Well, why didn't you tell me?
Hayley: Well, you know, we were going to wait.
Janet: Why?
Hayley: Under the circumstances, we thought we would wait.
Janet: Trevor would have done anything to get the two of you back together. He always knew you and Mateo were meant for one another. He would be so happy. The three of us are all happy. Oh, congratulations.

Opal: Well, of course. No, it's not a problem at all. We aim to please.
Tiffany: Who was that? Opal: The evil queen Vanessa. Boy, she's got some nerve. You know what she said? She wants us to only rinse her hair with spring water from now on. Says it's better for the follicles.
Tiffany: Well, do you want me to order a case from Sutton Gourmet?
Opal: Are you kidding? We're going to take some of those empty bottles from the recycling bin, fill them up with tap water. She'll never know the difference.
Tiffany: Well, she may be a lot to handle, but she makes gorgeous sons. I mean, that Dr. Hayward is to die for.
Opal: Well, he
is spoken for, honey. Tiffany: Yeah, but Leo's not.
Opal: Leo? You got a crush on Leo?
Tiffany: He can eat crackers in my bed from sundown to sunup.
Opal: Well, I'll admit, you know, first impressions can prove to be wrong. I mean, I had Leo pegged for Euro trash of the highest order, self-absorbed just like his Mama. Who ever figured he would turn out to be a hero?
Becca: Well, Opal, he really doesn't want people to make a big deal out of it.
Opal: Well, why not? I mean, he saved that girl from being raped, for pity's sake.
Greenlee: You told?

Adam: So, you want to work for me, Leo?
Leo: Yes.
Adam: No questions asked?
Leo: Only a fool goes through life without asking questions, sir.
Adam: Why now? I gave you my card weeks ago.
Leo: I've been busy learning everything there is to know about the legendary Adam Chandler.
Adam: Really? Such as?
Leo: Such as how your previous aide-de-camp, Alec McIntyre, is currently serving time in Statesville for embezzling and attempted murder.
Adam: Yes, he is. And you're interested in following in his footsteps?
Leo: Do you mean as your right-hand man or making license plates? Because day-glo orange isn't really my color and jump suits aren't exactly my style, if you know what I mean.
Adam: One doesn't necessarily follow the other.
Leo: Oh, I'm not worried about it. I'm far too smart to get caught.
Adam: "Caught"? What makes you assume I want you to do something --
Leo: Unethical? Illegal? Mr. Chandler, men like you don't follow the rules. That's how they become men like you.
Adam: Your stepfather tell you that? You see, I've been busy, too, learning about you. I know your mother's married to Palmer Cortlandt, and I know he put you under his wing.
Leo: That's true. He did give me a job.
Adam: Doing what? Spying on me? I hate to disappoint you, but if you want to use me to impress Palmer Cortlandt --
Leo: I don't give a damn about Palmer Cortlandt. It's you that I want to impress.

Alex: Yeah, I think Dr. Hayward is still in surgery. Oh, about an hour or so, maybe. You're welcome.

Alex's voice: Your mind sometimes can -- can suppress things in order to protect itself, and maybe it's better forgotten.
Edmund: Maybe, doctor. But maybe your mind is telling you that it's ready to deal with these things.

Alex: Oh, hi.
Edmund: Hi. Welcome back. Where you been?
Alex: Yeah. I was just thinking about you. What you said about finding out answers -- that I'm ready. I don't know.
Edmund: Well, Alex, you were willing to try to track down that doctor whose card your mother gave you.
Alex: Yeah.
Edmund: And since you seemed so disappointed when you found out that that Dr. Burton never worked at the clinic -- or so they told you -- I decided to do a little checking myself.
Alex: You did?
Edmund: Yeah. Made a couple calls, got the name of the director, and I just spoke to him.
Alex: And?
Edmund: And the receptionist made a mistake. Dr. Burton is now dead, but for a while he was on staff.
Alex: So I was treated at that clinic?
Edmund: Absolutely. And he was able to find your records.
Alex: Good.
Edmund: That's the good news.
Alex: Oh. What's the bad?
Edmund: The bad news is I asked him if I could have those records. He said no, releasing them would be impossible.
Alex: Why? Edmund: Because they were sealed permanently by the British court. Do you have any idea why?
Alex: My records were sealed? Why? That doesn't make any sense. Did you ask?
Edmund: Yeah. The director either wouldn't or couldn't say why.
Alex: Oh, maybe I need to speak to him. Do you have that card?
Edmund: Yeah, I do. But I'll tell you he made it clear to me he will not release those records to anyone, including you.
Alex: What on earth could be so sensitive or --
Edmund: Top-secret?
Alex: Well, let's not be melodramatic. I mean, there has to be a logical explanation for it.
Edmund: Yeah. And I think you have it inside of you somewhere.
Alex: In my subconscious?
Edmund: Uh-huh.
Alex: I want to try hypnosis.
Edmund: Boy, I'm good. You sure?
Alex: Yeah. I've been thinking about it. I'm afraid of what I might find out, but, you know, it's worse not knowing.
Edmund: Yeah. Listen -- anybody on the staff that you feel comfortable with?
Alex: No. I don't want anyone affiliated with this hospital. Uh-uh.
Edmund: How about Dr. Rae?
Alex: Yeah.

Adam: You want to impress me?
Leo: You said you wanted somebody willing to take risks.
Adam: Yes, and unrelated to Palmer Cortlandt.
Leo: Look, I've heard about your whole feud with the Pigeon Hollow thing with Palmer. It's -- you know, and I'm sure that he would jump at the chance to bury his old nemesis.
Adam: No doubt.
Leo: But I can assure you that Palmer has no idea that I'm here or that I'm interested in working for you.
Adam: And if he did know?
Leo: Well, I'm sure he'd try to talk me out of it.
Adam: And cut you off without a cent.
Leo: I'm not the one who married him for his money.
Adam: Yes, I'm sure. But aren't you enjoying being a beneficiary?
Leo: I'd prefer to make it on my own. Sugar daddies have a short shelf life. Which brings me back to where we first started. Are you hiring or not?
Adam: I'll tell you what I want. I want proof that you can be trusted.
Leo: What'd you have in mind?
Adam: I want you to bring me the Cortlandt Electronics business plan for the next year.
Leo: And how do you propose that I get my hands on that?
Adam: You're asking for my help? Oh, no. That would be cheating. You have your assignment. How you accomplish it is up to you.

Janet: Mateo, this calls for a celebration. There must be some apple cider around here, something we can use to toast the good news. Hey, I've got a lot of extra food if you want to stay for dinner.
Mateo: Oh. Oh, thank you. I have to go home. I have some paperwork to do.
Janet: Well, I hope you're not doing the bookkeeping. That's my job.
Mateo: If you saw the bookkeeping, you'd probably quit. See you. Bye.
Janet: Bye, honey.
Mateo: I'll -- I'll be
at the condo if you need me. Hayley: Ok.
Mateo: All right? Bye.
Hayley: Bye.

Hayley: What's wrong?
Janet: Nothing. It's just wonderful to see two people who've faced so many obstacles and managed to climb over them, conquer them, you know? I don't know how you and Mateo can stand to spend a moment apart.
Hayley: Well, it's not like we just met.
Janet: But the bond is stronger than ever. What are you doing here?
Hayley: I want to be here with the people I love.
Janet: You love Mateo, and you shouldn't spend a moment apart. We'll be fine. We're going to have dinner with Brooke and Jamie, and then we're going to watch some TV, and then we're going to tuck ourselves into bed.
Amanda: Mommy's right. And I think Mateo would love it if you surprised him by going over his house.
Janet: Me, too.
Hayley: You two are both hopeless romantics, but -- ok, you talked me into it. Hayley: Bye. Oh!

[Hayley laughs]

Brooke: I'm sorry.
Hayley: Brooke.
Brooke: Hi. I got takeout from Panda Express. Are you coming or are you going?
Hayley: I'm going. I'm going to surprise Mateo with a little special delivery of my own.
Amanda: Hayley and Mateo are engaged.
Hayley: Yeah. See?
Brooke: Oh -- oh, Hayley! I think that's wonderful.
Hayley: Thanks.
Brooke: Oh, I'm so happy for you.
Hayley: Thank you. Thanks. Ok, I'm out of here. Ladies, don't wait up.

Brooke: Ok. I got sesame chicken, so I hope you guys are hungry.
Janet: Well, I made a big pot of beef stew -- enough to feed an army.
Brooke: I'm sorry. I should have checked with you first.
Janet: I'm going to go make a salad. I'll take that.
Brooke: Ok.

Amanda: Are you and Mommy mad at each other?
Brooke: Oh, no, honey. Why would you ask that?
Amanda: She usually loves to eat sesame chicken.
Brooke: Here. Come on over here and sit down a second, ok? I think that your mom is still very sad because your dad had to leave. That's why Jamie and I are staying with you guys, you know, for a little while.
Amanda: I think she gets sadder every day.
Brooke: You know what? I talked to your mom about someone that she could see and someone she could talk to.
Amanda: You mean, like, a therapist?
Brooke: Yeah, yeah. You know, everybody, I think, needs help now and then, especially when, you know, times are tough.
Amanda: A therapist helped her get better last time when she was sick.
Brooke: Right. And you know what? If you ever need to talk to somebody -- you know, I mean, somebody other than your mom -- you can always come to me, ok?
Amanda: Ok.
Brooke: All right. And if I can't help you, I'll find somebody who can. I love you, sweetie.

Janet: Amanda, would you please set the table and feed Smokey?
Amanda: Sure.
Janet: And be sure and wash your hands. Dinner's almost ready.
Amanda: Ok.

Janet: Now I know where my daughter's getting all these ridiculous ideas.
Brooke: What?
Janet: You're trying to turn her against me?

Becca: Greenlee -- Greenlee -- I swear I didn't tell anyone it was you that almost got --
Greenlee: You can't even say it. The word is "raped." It's what happens when stupid girls do stupid things like go to guys' motel rooms.
Becca: What happened in that motel room was not your fault.
Greenlee: Oh, please. Skip the public service announcement. I deliberately picked up the most sleaziest, most boorish, macho creep I could find, and you of all people are making excuses for me?
Becca: But you didn't know Ken was going to force himself on you.
Greenlee: I teased him. I tried to lure him back to my grandmother's house. I drank beer with him.
Becca: But that wasn't supposed to happen. Ryan was supposed to rescue you.
Greenlee: Leo told you that?
Becca: Look, don't be mad at Leo. When Ryan split, he was looking for you. He was worried. He asked me to find out. I wouldn't have taken any part of it if I didn't know you were going to be in trouble.
Greenlee: Oh, great. I'm sure the whole town knows by now.
Becca: Look, Leo was looking out for you.
Greenlee: Well, I don't need him to look out for me. I can take care of myself.
Becca: It sure didn't look like it last night.
Greenlee: You're really getting off on this, aren't you?
Becca: Off on what?
Greenlee: The spoiled little rich girl who plays with people's lives finally gets her comeuppance.
Becca: I did not think that for a minute.
Greenlee: Right.
Becca: I swear. Look, things got out of hand. It happens. But it doesn't mean you deserve to be raped.

Brooke: Janet, nobody's trying to turn Amanda against you, least of all me. I mean, she needs her mother now more than ever.
Janet: Then why were you telling her to talk to you if she needed someone to talk to?
Brooke: Because --
Janet: I'm her mother, after all.
Brooke: Amanda is a very perceptive little girl. She sensed that there was some sort of tension between us. She asked if you were angry at me. I just think that -- I just think she's worried, Janet.
Janet: So you tell her I need a shrink?
Brooke: She doesn't think that there's anything wrong with getting help from a therapist. I mean, she knows that when she had that accident, she fell down the well, that Dr. Tolan helped her. Dr. Tolan was instrumental in helping her get through that.
Janet: It wasn't Dr. Tolan that did it. It was her family. Trevor and I helped her work through it.
Brooke: Well, half of her family is not here now. I think Amanda just wants to feel --
Janet: Don't put words in her mouth. She knows if she's worried or she's scared she can come to me.
Brooke: I don't think she wants to burden you. I think she -- if she saw that you were getting help --
Janet: I don't need help. Stop it.
Brooke: Janet --
Janet: Stop talking about it. I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Brooke: Look, I -- I talked to Trevor again, and he wanted to know if I had talked to you about Dr. Jaffe.
Janet: Trevor called you again?
Brooke: Yes.
Janet: Why is he calling you and not me?
Brooke: Because he --
Janet: Isn't it enough that you're turning my daughter against me? Are you trying to turn Trevor against me, too?

Rae: Hi. I came as soon as I got your message.
Alex: Thank you.
Rae: Hello, Edmund.
Edmund: Hello, Rae.
Rae: What's going on here?
Alex: Remember New Year's Eve?
Rae: Yes.
Alex: The whole thing with David, and I was so anxious.
Rae: Of course I do.
Alex: I've been trying to put that behind me, and I'm finding it increasingly difficult.
Rae: Oh.
Alex: I know I was hospitalized. I had some kind of a breakdown. But I don't remember.
Rae: A little frustrating, isn't it?
Alex: I want to do something about it.
Rae: Ok.
Alex: Maybe with hypnosis.
Rae: Really?
Alex: Yeah. Is that something you're qualified to do?
Rae: Yes. But I feel I should warn you. Going under hypnosis, even if it works, you're the one who's still in control. I can't make you remember something that you don't want to remember.
Alex: Yeah, I'm aware of that.
Rae: You know, some people remember everything and others remember just little fragments of things.
Alex: I want to try it.
Rae: Ok. When? When would you like to do this?
Alex: Now, now. I want to do it now.
Rae: Now?
Alex: Don't want to lose my nerve.
Rae: All right.
Edmund: Ahem. Well, then, I'll --
Rae: Ok.
Edmund: Leave you two alone, ok?
Rae: All right.
Edmund: Listen, Alex, I'm going to check on the -- I'm going to check on your records, ok? I'll be back. I'll see you soon.
Alex: Edmund -- Edmund?
Edmund: Yeah?
Alex: Thank you.

Rae: Listen, before we get started -- you said you were hospitalized.
Alex: Yeah, in Wales, apparently.
Rae: I actually know that. I have a little confession to make. I said to you a while back that we had a mutual friend -- a doctor. Actually, a psychiatrist. We talked about you. He told me that you had been seeking help a while back. And when I met you, I thought, well, let me try to help you.
Alex: Did he know why I'd been seeking help?
Rae: No. But even if he did, he certainly wouldn't tell me.
Alex: Ooh!
Rae: What?
Alex: I feel like I have the great wall of China in my brain.
Rae: Yes, I know. Well, let's see if we can't penetrate that wall and see what's behind it. Come on, sit down. Ok? Ok.
Rae: What?
Alex: I'm really scared.
Rae: Don't be. You're in very good hands here. Remember, it's just the past. What's in the past stays in the past. And if it starts to get really scary, I'll just stop. All right? You ready to begin? Ok.
Rae: Are you comfortable?
Alex: Yeah.
Rae: You understand that no harm can come to you.
Alex: Yeah, I understand.
Rae: I'd like to go back to New Year's Eve -- the past New Year's at Wildwind, the Crystal Ball.
Alex: Mm-hmm.
Rae: Are you there yet?
Alex: Hmm. Yeah, I hear music and people laughing.
Rae: What do you see?
Alex: Stairs.
Rae: Anything else?
Alex: The clock. Oh. It's midnight. Hmm. Oh, I have to go.
Rae: Who are you running from, Alex? Who?
Alex: Oh, he's here.

David's voice: Alex --
Alex: And he won't let me go.
David: All right, look. I'm not going to hurt you. But you've got to stop going after me. What's in the past is done. Leave it there.
Geoffrey: You won't say a word, Alexandra. No one would believe such an irrational woman.
Alex: Oh, God! Please leave me alone.
Geoffrey: You didn't hear anything. You didn't see anything.
Alex: Please, don't hurt me. I won't tell anyone.

Rae: Alex, where are you? Who do you see?

[Alex screams]

Becca: I don't want you to think that I wanted --
Greenlee: I know, I know, I know. Ok? Ok? I just -- I just don't want to keep talking about it, all right?
Opal: Of course you don't.
Greenlee: Just do me one favor, ok?
Opal: Sure, honey. Anything.
Greenlee: Keep this to yourselves. If my grandmother finds out, she'll send me back to my parents or lock me in the attic. I'll never hear the end of it.
Becca: Leo already knows.
Greenlee: I know, I know. Just don't tell anyone else, ok?
Becca: Ok.
Opal: Scouts honor.
Greenlee: I know I don't have an appointment or anything, but I was wondering if you could squeeze me in for a seaweed scrub and a massage.
Opal: If that would make you feel better, honey, it's on the house, ok? Becca, why don't you get the wrap room ready while Greenlee here changes clothes, huh?
Greenlee: Thank you.
Opal: Sure. Have a good time, girls.

Leo: Mrs. Cortlandt.
Opal: It's Opal. It's just Opal, ok? But I got to tell you, I was mighty impressed by what you did for that little girl. I know Becca said that you don't want any fuss made over it, but, still, Greenlee was darn lucky that you were there to rescue her from that creep.
Leo: I just did what anybody would have done. I'm no hero.
Opal: Well, of course you are. Come on. Take credit where credit's due.
Leo: Yeah, I guess I should, but --
Opal: But what? Why so glum?
Leo: Oh, I took some pain killers this morning before I went to work at C.E.
Opal: What, so you --
Leo: And I didn't realize how drowsy they'd make me.
Opal: And you're taking the day off?
Leo: I wish. Palmer gave me an assignment. He wanted me to figure the cost projections for the new computer line, and, well, I input the wrong data, and, you know, if I don't find the paperwork and correct the mistake, I'm doomed at C.E.
Opal: Well, why don't you just explain it to Palmer and ask him if you can do it again?
Leo: Oh, yeah. Just admit that I made a mistake that would cost the company millions? He'd never forgive me. If I could just get my hands on that paperwork.
Opal: Well, where is it?
Leo: In the wall safe. I mean, he gave me the combination, but -- you know, these pills, they made me so drowsy and just completely out of it that -- you wouldn't happen to know the combination?
Opal: Not much about PC that I don't know.
Leo: I know that it's a lot to ask, Opal, but, you know, if I don't get into the safe and correct my mistake, I'm history.
Opal: Well, if I helped you, I mean, that old gizzard would really, really be in a snit.
Leo: I understand. I mean, even though he's your ex, you're still very loyal to him. That's -- that's commendable.
Opal: In a pig's eye. Listen, he gave you the combination, right? So --
Leo: Yeah.
Opal: Hey, what's the big deal? It's Petey's birthday. That's 12-24-92. Petey, our son -- probably only reason he remembers it.
Leo: I knew that. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much you've helped. I really appreciate it.
Opal: Anytime, honey.

[Knock on door]

Mateo: Just go ahead and put it on the table, please. No, no, no, on the -- what are you doing? Hey! Hey! What are you -- what the hell are you doing? Hello! Buddy -- do you speak English? Ah. Ok. How much do I owe you? Mateo: 226 -- "We cater weddings, too."
Hayley: Gotcha.

Brooke: Trevor knows your phone is tapped. Janet, he is wanted for murder. He's dying to talk to you. He would do anything in the world to be able to come home to you and Amanda.
Janet: He said that?
Brooke: Yes, he did.
Janet: What else did he say?
Brooke: He can't stay in one place more than one night at a time. He has to keep on the move. But he just -- he just wants to check and make sure that you and Amanda are ok, to know what you're doing, to know you're all right.
Janet: So, what did you tell him? You didn't tell him that Amanda was worried about me, that she was afraid that I was getting sick, did you? Damn it. You did, didn't you? You're going to make me sound crazy.
Brooke: You're not crazy. I know that. I know that you are just so stressed. I know what it's like to be totally overwhelmed.
Janet: Why are you doing this? What's in it for you?
Brooke: Nothing is in it for me. Trevor just wanted me to keep --
Janet: I know -- to see if we were ok, to keep a watchful eye on us. But why you?
Brooke: I don't know what you mean.
Janet: I mean of all the people Trevor could've picked, why did he pick you? Why were you the one?
Brooke: Because he trusts me, I guess.
Janet: Well, I don't.
Brooke: Janet, look, I'm sorry if I made you feel that way. I was just trying to help.
Janet: How do I know you even talked to Trevor?
Brooke: Why would I make something like that up?
Janet: I don't know. Let me think. Maybe you wanted an excuse to come over here and put ideas in my daughter's head.
Brooke: What?
Janet: Or maybe you wanted to come between me and Trevor. Or maybe it's both. Maybe you want a daughter and a husband of your own.
Brooke: You know what? I think maybe we should table this discussion for now.
Janet: What, did I get a little too close to home?
Brooke: I just think that we should talk about this later. I don't know if he'd want Amanda to hear us discussing this.
Janet: Your concern for my daughter is overwhelming.
Brooke: I'm going to make some tea, ok?

Image: You notice she didn't deny it.
Janet: I thought you were gone.
Image: Oh, come on. You know better than that. I mean, you practically accused her of stealing your husband, and she still didn't deny it.
Janet: Just go away. I can't take this now.
Image: You know where you're going to be by the time Trevor comes back? Not here at home stirring his beef stew. That's for sure. No, you're going to be cooling your jets in Oakhaven. And you know who's going to be left to pick up the pieces? Instant daughter, instant husband.
Janet: Over my dead body.

Tiffany: Becca -- how is Greenlee doing?
Becca: Sven's being extra gentle with her.
Tiffany: She's lucky to have a friend like Leo. He can rescue me anytime.
Becca: You know, when I first met him, I thought he was so shallow, one of the most self-centered people I'd ever met on the face of the planet.
Tiffany: And now you think he's the second most, right? After his mother.
Becca: No. Now I think I was totally wrong about him.
Tiffany: You're kidding.
Becca: No. I mean, you should have seen him last night. He may be a reluctant hero, but he's still a hero in my book. He even got stabbed saving Greenlee last night.
Tiffany: If I didn't know better, I'd say you have a thing for the guy.
Becca: Me?
Tiffany: Mm-hmm.
Becca: What? No, no, no, no, no. I'm with Scott, remember?
Tiffany: Oh, if you say so. But if you forget, I'll be happy to remind you.
Becca: Ok.

Leo: Yes! Y2k business plan. How easy was that? Well, well, well. "Last Will and Testament of Palmer Cortlandt." Mother is definitely going to want to see this.

Hayley: I hope you don't mind the ambush, but I started missing you about two seconds after you left, so Janet suggested that I just go for it.
Mateo: Yeah? You kidding me? You answered my prayers. I always like having you around. Matter of fact, I didn't want to leave you there. You know, I never really like being without you.
Hayley: I feel the same way.
Mateo: So, do you really want to have Sal's Pizza cater our wedding? I mean, come on.
Hayley: He wants to.
Mateo: Ok. It's nice he wants to. What if we invite him? Huh? We'll invite him, and then maybe we'll have somebody more, you know, upper scale do our food for us.
Hayley: Upper scale.
Mateo: Yeah.
Hayley: You want to have a big, fancy wedding?
Mateo: Why not? Don't you?
Hayley: Well, yeah, but this is our third wedding. I'm sure people are tired of giving us wedding presents.
Mateo: Well, I mean, the first one, come on. That was bad. That was bad. The second one was in a hospital. And this one -- I don't know. I kind of want to -- you know, I want it to be the wedding that you've always dreamed of.
Hayley: You're everything I always dreamed of. I just thank God that we found each other again.
Mateo: Well, you know what?
Hayley: Hmm?
Mateo: You were always right here. You know that? You never left.
Hayley: No, I never really could.

Rae: One, two, three. Open your eyes. Tell me what you saw. Can you? Whatever it was, it was frightening.
Alex: Thank you. You were right. Sometimes it doesn't work.
Rae: But it did work. You were able to retrieve some of it.
Rae: Ok. Ok, ok we'll try it again next time.
Alex: No. There isn't going to be a next time.
Rae: It's your choice. I know that. I really think you should do this again. Ok, ok. You know where to reach me. Ok?
Alex: Yeah.
Rae: Ok.
Alex: My mind doesn't want me to remember.

Mateo: Mmm.
Hayley: Mmm. This is perfect. All my favorites -- you, pizza, sparkling cider.
Mateo: Love the sparkling cider. I want to talk to you about something.
Hayley: Uh-oh.
Mateo: No, no, no. Nothing bad. I was thinking, you know, where do we want to live after we get married, you know, and have a family?
Hayley: What's the matter with right here?
Mateo: We, you know, Raquel used to live right across the way. All those bad memories -- a lot of bad stuff happened here. You know, I -- I made a lot of mistakes here.
Hayley: We both made mistakes. But, I mean, Raquel is gone. And this place is perfect. It would be a shame to leave it now.
Mateo: You sure?
Hayley: Yeah. There's nothing that happened here that you and I can't get past.

Adam: Is this legit?
Leo: Of course it is. I stole it from Palmer's safe.
Adam: Well, congratulations. You've passed your first test. I took the liberty of prewriting this check in case you might consider your next assignment.
Leo: $100,000?
Adam: Mm-hmm.
Leo: Absolutely. Whoa -- what are you doing?
Adam: If you want this kind of money, you're going to have to earn it.
Leo: How?
Adam: By taking my brother's wife to bed.

Janet: I've got to get rid of her.
Image: That's the spirit.
Janet: I mean I've got to get her out of this house.
Image: Oh, don't be such a bozo, Janet. Haven't you ever heard the expression "hold your friends close and your enemies closer"? If you kick Brooke out, you're not going to know where she is or what she's doing or who she's with.
Janet: You're right. I've got to keep my wits about me.

Edmund: Alex, don't be discouraged. It's just the first time that you've tried hypnosis.
Alex: No, it didn't work. I'm not a good subject.
Edmund: How do you know you're a good subject? You know --
Alex: Did you have any luck? Hmm?
Edmund: Yeah, as a matter of fact I did.
Alex: Oh, yeah?
Edmund: Yeah. I called in another favor -- a highly placed contact in the British government. He got me through to the minister of health.
Alex: Must be a high contact.
Edmund: Yeah. And we talked, and I got the runaround again.
Alex: They're not going to give me my records?
Edmund: No, they're not. And you want my opinion? I think somebody doesn't want you to remember.
