ALL MY CHILDREN

FEBRUARY 5, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: I've been doing research to find a cure for the disease that killed Dixie's mother. It's genetic condition, and Dixie has inherited it. The serum will counteract it.

Mateo: I get a phone call, Stamp.
Chris: No, you get what you deserve.
Hayley: Which is exactly what, Chris?

Leo: Who are you?
Vanessa: It's ok, Darling, this is Mary Margaret, Frankie's twin.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Mateo: Go home. I don't want you here.
Hayley: You're not serious? No way.
Mateo: How'd you find out I got arrested?
Hayley: Ryan called.
Mateo: Thank you.
Hayley: Well, thank God he did, Mateo. I'm serious.
Ryan: What, are you surprised to see me here, Agent Stamp?
Chris: Lt. Frye, I told you I wanted Mateo sent to his cell.
Derek: I think we should hear what Mrs. Santos has to say, don't you, Jack?
Jack: Oh, yes, I think that would definitely be the logical thing to do.
Mateo: Well, she's not going to say a damn thing to you because she doesn't speak for me.
Hayley: Mateo, stop it.
Mateo: We broke up and we're not even together anymore --
Hayley: No, that's not true.
Mateo: And whatever she has to say is a rotten lie!
Hayley: Mateo, listen to me, this is over. I'm ending it now. I know you want to get Proteus, but the price is too high.

Anna: [To Tad] They've been in there for hours.

David: Hey.
Dixie: David.
David: Did you have a good night's sleep?
Dixie: Thank you.
David: Don't.
Dixie: I wouldn't be here without you.
David: Shh. Just get some rest, ok?
Dixie: You saved my life. David: It's ok, Dixie.
Don't cry, Dixie. It's going to be ok. It's all right.

Maggie: Ok, I get the feeling something isn't going down here, so I'm just going to go back to my motel room.
Greenlee: Actually, there is something that Leo and I need to discuss.
Leo: But first I want talk to Mary -- Maggie for a minute.
Greenlee: Now?
Leo: Yes, now. She's my cousin and her sister just died, Greenlee. It'll just take a minute.
Greenlee: I'll be in the car.
Leo: All right, meet me there.

Maggie: Don't you think you should go follow her?
Leo: Oh, she'll be fine.
Maggie: Because, believe me, I'm fine on my own.
Leo: Are you sure? I realize we don't know each other very well, but I hate the idea of you being here by yourself, especially after everything that's gone down.
Maggie: Well, listen, I'm not really into the hand-holding thing.
Leo: Yeah, well, must be the DNA thing.
Maggie: Warm and fuzzy we're not.
Leo: Yeah, you give new meaning to the word "distant" and, periodically, "bizarre."
Maggie: Got to love those family values, right?
Leo: So you're all set? You're going to be ok to be alone tonight?
Maggie: Yeah. Did Frankie hang out here much?
Leo: I don't know. I know that Bianca liked this place, so --
Maggie: Bianca. Will you tell me more out her?

[Kendall talks to Bianca on the phone]
Kendall: Bianca, you still there?
Bianca: Kendall, I don't have anything to say to you. Please don't call me again.
Kendall: Wait, wait, wait, wait, please do not hang up. Listen, I'm really sorry for how I treated you. I feel awful. I don't want us to be enemies. You're the only sister I've got, you know?
Bianca: Can we do this in the morning, please?
Kendall: I -- I really wanted to see you rig now. Could you come over to S.O.S., Please?
Bianca: Kendall, it's late.
Kendall: This won't take long, I promise. Listen, I feel awful about the things I said and I really want to get together so I know that you're not still mad. Besides, I have something to tell you and I really want to do it in person.
Bianca: Ok. I'm coming over.

Kendall: Oh, Mommy's little sweetheart is going to get the surprise of her life.

Anna: Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you.
David: No, that's all right. Please, come in.
Anna: I'm glad you're better, Dixie.
Dixie: Thank you.
Anna: David, I don't want to rush you, but the WSB isn't going to let me keep their jet forever.
David: Right. Dixie, I have to leave.
Dixie: Anna, are you the one that brought David here?
Anna: Yeah.
Dixie: Well, then I have to thank you, as well.
Anna: Uh, no. No, no. It was all David. As soon as he found out that you were ill, he was determined to take care of you. Nothing was going to stop him. You're lucky to have such a devoted doctor.

David: So where's Tad? I don't want to leave her alone.
Tad: You're leaving?
David: Yes, we have to.
Tad: Well, if you say she's ok, I'll make sure that Dixie gets back to Pine Valley safely.
David: Dixie, you're going to be ok.
Dixie: Because of you. Good-bye, David.
David: Um -- look, before I go, I need to ask a favor -- from both of you.

Leo: Let's go grab that table. So did Frankie tell you anything about Bianca?
Maggie: We sort of lost touch over the past couple of years. Actually, you know what? That's a lie. What happened was I got the hell out and I left her there to take care of herself. Obviously, not her forte.
Leo: Yeah, well, it's always easier to see things when you're looking back at them. You couldn't have known it then, so --
Maggie: I always knew I was the tough one. Frankie just couldn't -- I always told myself I'd go back for her.
Leo: Well, I'm sure you would have.
Maggie: Yeah, someday. I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore, do I? I don't know. It's just I don't really know anything about her. All I know is what I read about in the trial.
Leo: Wow. You weren't kidding when you said you lost touch.
Maggie: You hear all this misty stuff about how twins feel each other's pain from a thousand miles away and then they meet on the "Oprah" show and they're like, "oh, my God, I love John Cusack, too!" Just wasn't like that with me and Frankie.
Leo: Yeah, well, I don't think that's your fault. I mean, you were a kid. You had to grow up, too.
Maggie: I never even tried to get to know her. I just wanted to get away. I mean, she liked girls, for heaven's sake. What kind of sister doesn't know something like that?
Leo: Well, me and my half brother never even spoke before I moved here. So like I said before, it's got to be a DNA thing.
Maggie: Hmm, that's a comforting thought.
Leo: Well, if -- maybe this will help take some of the guilt off you. I forgot that Frankie had a twin sister. I know, that's bad. I mean, she's my cousin, she was around for months, and I never even hardly talked to her, never even asked her about her sister.
Maggie: Ok, it's a DNA thing.
Leo: But--
Maggie: But I guess I want the "Oprah" connection or something. I mean, she does look exactly like me. She's my mirror image. I just wish I knew something about her.
Leo: Well, it'll help when you meet Bianca. She'll be able to tell you a lot about her. I just want to warn her first and give her se time to wrap her brain around it because I guarantee you this is going to be a stunner for her.
Maggie: So you don't think that Frankie ever talked about me to Bianca?
Leo: I don't think so. Bianca would've told me.
Maggie: You like Bianca, don't you?
Leo: Yeah. She's one of my best friends.
Maggie: Did Frankie ever -- do you think Frankie was happy with her?
Leo: Hmm -- I don't know that, either. I know that Bianca liked her, loved her. But as far as what Frankie felt, I -- I don't know anything.
Maggie: It's going to be really weird meeting Bianca, you know, face to face. I don't know, I'm just still sort of mad about what happened.
Leo: You know, let me set it up. Let me be there. I'll smooth it over. I'm incredibly smooth. So I'll talk to her, I'll give you a call in the morning, and we'll hook it up, ok?
Maggie: Ok. Thanks.
Leo: You bet.
Maggie: Oh, you'd better get back to your fiancée. She's been waiting for a long time now.
Leo: Yeah, and Greenlee doesn't wait very well.
Maggie: Yeah, I got that. I guess I'll just hang around, eat a salad.
Leo: All right. Well, if you need anything, just let me know, 'Cuz.
Maggie: Thanks.
Leo: All right.
Maggie: Good night.
Leo: Night.

Kendall: Come on, Binky. Don't let me down now.

Mateo: Get her out of my face.
Hayley: Mateo --
Mateo: I want to talk to my lawyer.
Hayley: No, I'm not going to let this continue any --
Mateo: Whatever she has to say, she cooked it up.
Hayley: Mateo!
Mateo: I want my lawyer!
Barry: I'll be representing Mr. Santos.
Mateo: Thanks, Barry.
Barry: And I would like to understand the nature of the charges being brought against my client.
Derek: There were drugs found and --
Chris: Lieutenant, I'll handle this, thank you. Special Agent Stamp. Right over here, please.
Barry: Thank you.
Chris: Here's the case file.
Barry: Oh, thanks.

Mateo: Will you please go? I can keep you out of this.
Hayley: I am not covering for you and I'm not pretending another minute.
Mateo: I can't let anyone know that you're in on this.
Hayley: Mateo, when are you going to listen to me? I'm not letting you rot in jail.
Mateo: I'm afraid for you.
Hayley: Welcome to my world!
Mateo: You don't understand. Something big's going down, something with Proteus. Get out of here.
Hayley: What is going down? Just tell me, what is this about?
Mateo: They planted drugs in my safe. I think it was Stamp. Matter of fact, I think Proteus is Stamp.
Hayley: Stamp?
Mateo: Now do you understand why I'm afraid for you?
Hayley: Yes, I understand.
Mateo: He railroaded me.

Ryan: Exactly his MO.
Mateo: Will you get out of here?
Ryan: I'm just telling you, he does whatever the hell he wants.
Hayley: At the Crystal Ball, do you remember what I said?
Mateo: Yeah, that Stamp killed his father.
Hayley: It's not that he killed his father.
Ryan: Listen, my father was a drug dealer. Stamp was assigned to the case, all right? They had a grudge between them. I have no idea what the hell it was, but there was a sting. He set up a sting and he used it to kill him.
Mateo: And I should believe you why?
Ryan: Why the hell would I lie about this, Mateo? I'm just telling you, he does whatever the hell he wants and watch your back.

Chris: Mr. Santos, we would like to speak with you and Mrs. Santos.
Mateo: You can talk to me. She's got nothing to say to you.
Chris: In private.
Mateo: She's got nothing --
Chris: Well, that's good, then she can say it to us again on record. You can go.
Ryan: Thanks, but I think I'll stay because you know how sometimes things happen.
Chris: Mr. And Mrs. Santos, that office, please.

Hayley: Proteus wasn't just threatening Enzo and me. It was the whole family. Mateo found drugs in his sister's purse and then the presents started arriving at the house.
Chris: So are you saying that your husband was coerced into dealing?
Hayley: You know he was.
Mateo: Hayley --
Barry: Be quiet.
Jack: Mr. Santos, do you have something you'd like to add?
Barry: No, no, he doesn't.
Chris: And then, of course, there were the threatening phone calls, which, of course, you can't corroborate, can you?
Hayley: That's the way it was and you know it.
Chris: Maybe and maybe not. Maybe your husband decided on his own that he needed a little bit of extra cash so he started pushing drugs.
Hayley: Maybe my husband doesn't need a little extra cash.
Chris: Oh, so Proteus forced him into setting up a private bank account in the Cayman Islands? Is that what you're telling me?
Hayley: What's in this for you, Chris? Why are you railroading my husband?
Mateo: Stop.
Hayley: No, isn't it true what Ryan says about you, that you always manipulate the situation so you can win in the end?
Chris: I think that we've heard enough from you, Mrs. Santos.
Hayley: I don't think so. I'm not finished. Everybody knows you were working at S.O.S.
Chris: I think that's enough, Mrs. Santos.
Hayley: Everybody knows that you were --
Chris: Would you please escort this lady out? Hayley: I don't think so! I'm not done!
Ryan: Hey, hey, hey, get your hands off of her.
Chris: Get out of here.
Ryan: What are you going to do to me, Stamp? What? You know what? Excuse me, but I think you all need to hear about this.
Jack: Just settle down.
Chris: Why don't you get out of here while you're ahead.
Ryan: What do you say, you want to hear about him?
Chris: You know, this isn't about me or what you've got --
Jack: All right, I personally would like to hear what he has to say, all right?
Ryan: This guy -- he's a murderer. In the line of duty, of course. He'll just set a man up and then he'll watch him die without even trying to figure out the truth.

David: Dixie, I want you to know that no matter what happens to me after this, it's all worth it knowing that you're ok.
Tad: What's the favor?
David: You can both ruin me. You have enough information right now to end my career. The drug I used on Dixie, as I told you, was in the experimental stages. It hasn't passed any of the tests required by the government for a full patent. Which means --
Tad: You could lose your license if anybody finds out that you gave it to Dixie.
David: That's right.
Tad: Naturally, you want us to keep our mouths shut.
David: Yes. That's what I'm asking.
Tad: So let's say we keep your little secret here and you go on with your testing, right, and then you get your patent and then you make a few million dollars, and then what's she? Just some lucky footnote in all your research?
Dixie: Tad, he saved my life.
Tad: After risking it first. Why? So you could come down here, do some more grandstanding?
David: I wasn't grandstanding, Tad. I was taking a risk.
Tad: What would've happened if you hadn't gotten here in time?
David: But I did get here in time. I saved her life.
Tad: No, why didn't you warn us? You knew she had the same thing that killed her mother and you knew she could die from it. And yet you didn't think that was a piece of information you should share with us so we could at least be prepared?
David: Right, so I should've scared the hell out of her for a condition that may not even develop. And even if it did, I was the only one that could possibly do anything about it.
Tad: Right, because you set it up that way.
Anna: Tad, he only did any of this to save Dixie. That's why he started the research in the first place. That's why he tested the serum on himself.
Tad: He's still playing God. After everything that's happened.
David: I didn't want Dixie to live her life in fear.
Tad: Wasn't your call.
David: Given the circumstances, I believe it was.
Tad: Really? Well, guess what, David? This one's mine. You get in trouble, you lose your license, that's fine with me because I'm not keeping any secrets.

Leo: David, it's me again. Call me as soon as you get this. And even though I'm your younger brother, I'm still bigger than you and I can whip your butt, so call me! Ugh!

Leo: Greenlee, give me the phone.
Greenlee: No.
Leo: I mean it, I don't want to play games. Give me the phone.
Greenlee: No, no, you've already left at least a dozen messages for your brother. I'll give you the phone when you tell me what's going on.
Leo: Do we have any beer?
Greenlee: Leo, hello, I asked a question.
Leo: I'm thirsty.
Greenlee: No. Tell me what's bothering you. I know that I upset you before, but I am not going to let you shut me down.
Leo: Why would I be upset, Greenlee? Just because you went to see Jake twice in one day.
Greenlee: Oh, no. No, no, no, you don't. I'm not going to let you get away with that.
Leo: With what? With what? I mean, you're going to have to spell it out for me because I'm not Jake.
Greenlee: There. That's what I'm talking about.
Leo: What? What is?
Greenlee: You're changing the subject. I told you I went to see Jake and I was perfectly willing to tell you why. Whatever's bugging you, it's not about that.
Leo: Oh, really? You couldn't stay away from Dr. Sensitivity for one day, so I'm upset because my wife-to-be is in love with another man? Excuse me for being uninvolved, Greenlee, but that bugs me.
Greenlee: I love you. I've tried to tell you so many times. You still don't believe me?
Leo: Look, can we just -- can we just not talk about this?
Greenlee: You don't want me to know, is that what you're saying?
Leo: No, I just think that sometimes we talk too much.
Greenlee: Huh. We don't really say anything. We never really talk.
Leo: Do you know how much I'm starting not to like the word "talk"?
Greenlee: Leo --
Leo: We have better ways of communicating, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Leo, don't do this. I'm serious.
Leo: See, there's "serious." I hate that one, too.
Greenlee: Well, get over it because I love you and I want to marry you and --
Leo: Well, fine.
Greenlee: If you keep kissing me, I'm going to melt.
Leo: Ok.
Greenlee: No, it's not ok. I don't want to melt because you're keeping something from me and I'm onto you, du Pres.
Leo: I don't know --
Greenlee: No, no, don't even try the confused thing. This is me. Remember? I know all the tricks. In fact, I helped you come up with some of them.
Leo: Greenlee --
Greenlee: No, Leo, listen to me -- if you can't trust me, who can you trust?

Bianca: Frankie!
[Bianca walks into SOS, sees Maggie and faints]
Maggie: Wake up. Come on, wake up.
Kendall: I don't get this. Who are you?
Bianca: Frankie! Oh, God, you came back to me.
Maggie: Oh, hold it. Hold it. You must be Bianca.
Bianca: Well, you know who I am, Frankie. Why don't you -- oh, my God.
Maggie: Ok, Leo told me that you might be -- ok, you might need to be prepared for this. Um -- I'm Frankie's sister. My name is Maggie. We were twins. Identical twins.
Bianca: Twins? Frankie had a twin?
Maggie: Yeah, me, and I'm guessing that you were the girl in her life.
Bianca: I'm Bianca.
Maggie: Whoa. Ok, Leo told me that you were in love with her, but I didn't expect you to act like this.
Kendall: Oh, for God's sakes, do you think you could be a little less insensitive.
Bianca: No, it's ok. Frankie would've said something just like that
Maggie: Would she?
Bianca: Yeah, yeah, she was -- whenever things got heavy, she headed right for a joke. I --
Maggie: See, I didn't even know that about her. I don't know much. I only know what happened in the trial.
Bianca: Oh, when -- when Frankie was -- when she died, we tried calling your mom and your family and everything and we couldn't reach anybody.
Maggie: That's because my mom's usually pretty unreachable. Kendall: Oh, I a
m so sorry, Bianca. I know this must be so painful for you.

Dixie: Hey, hey, you, come here. Aren't you happy that I'm alive?
Tad: Oh, Baby, you know I am, but it's not about that. Look, you're my entire world. And I know what you're going to say, but this --
Dixie: I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for David.
Tad: Dixie, listen to me. Your doctor back in Pine Valley has to know what happened here for your protection.
Dixie: He saved my life, Tad. Don't you think we owe him?
Tad: She's right. Whatever I think of you, you did save Dixie's life. That I can't repay. So I agree, and I won't tell anybody about your serum or your research.
David: I appreciate it. Dixie, we've got to go.
Dixie: You know, there's no way I could possibly ever thank you enough for what you did, David.
David: Good-bye, Dixie.
Dixie: Good-bye.
Anna: David, we should really go.

David: Are you all right?
David: You stupid bastard. I could've killed her.

Ryan: So my father's death was actually an assassination executed by Stamp. He admitted that to me. He bragged about it to my face, and now it looks like he's doing the same thing to Mateo.
Chris: What I'm doing is my job. Now, Lieutenant, if you'd be kind enough to escort Mrs. Santos out of the office so I can begin questioning her husband here, I'd appreciate --
Jack: No, no, not yet. You know, you're telling us just to hand over the jurisdiction of this case to you, no questions asked. Well, it seems to me a few questions have come up.
Chris: Well, it's not relevant to this case.
Jack: I' be the judge of that. Some serious allegations are being made here and I would just like to make sure that you're not working some kind of hidden agenda.
Chris: The only agenda I have, Mr. Montgomery, is to do my job and do it well.
Jack: Yeah, but it's how you do your job that seems to come into question here. You know, maybe we should go to the bureau, pull the files of your arrests, see if there's a pattern that we can establish.
Chris: What part of the phrase "Federal Investigation" don't you people get? Now, I can be heavy-handed. I don't want to be, but I am damn good at it. Now, we're not talking some penny-ante heist at a local convenience store in this town. We're talking about pounds of drugs. Now, he's going down if I find him guilty --
Hayley: He is innocent and you know it and you
are setting him up! Chris: Lieutenant, please escort these people from the office -- escort them right now, Lieutenant! Now!
Ryan: You know what you're doing is wrong.
Chris: What's wrong -- no. Wrong and evil is when someone sells drugs to kids who aren't even old enough to go to high school yet. And if Mr. Santos is guilty of that, I will put him away for a time until his grandchildren are collecting social security.
Mateo: Try it.
Barry: Mateo.
Chris: Ok, here's the drill, folks -- I have humored the DA and the lieutenant long enough. If you want to stand around and listen to stories about me and how I get things done from someone who is angry 24 hours a day, then you go ahead and be my guest. Under RICO, I have a right to detain this man. Anyone have a problem with that, you can call my superior at the agency who eats local cops and DA's for breakfast. Now, in the meantime, Lieutenant, you will put Mr. Santos into a cell. Are there any questions? Are there any answers? Anything? Just get it done.
Barry: Just go along with it. I'll start working on getting you out.
Mateo: I need to talk to her for a second.
Barry: Yeah.
Mateo: I need to talk to my wife. St -- just a couple minutes, please.
Chris: You got one minute.

Dixie: I was really sick, wasn't I?
Tad: Yes, you were.
Dixie: I haven't forgotten.
Tad: You mean about what we came down here to do?
Dixie: No.
Tad: I figured as much.
Dixie: No, I'm talking about you. The way you took care of me, the way you kept telling me that everything was going to be ok.
Tad: I was right.
Dixie: Yeah, you were.
Tad: I was also right about you not changing your mind. I know it. So -- I brought you something.
[Tad removes his wedding ring and places it on the divorce papers]
Tad: One divorce.

Anna: Oh, God. You didn't know whether the serum would work, did you?
David: The whole time I was working on it, even when I tested it, I was so sure. And then I saw Dixie lying there. And all the things that can go wrong, reactions I -- I never expected. If I had lost her, I don't know what I would've done.
Anna: All this time I thought you were invincible. You're just human, Dr. Hayward.
David: Thank you, Anna, for getting me here in time to save her. And thank you for standing up for me in there.
Anna: Anytime.
David: She's going to be all right
Anna: Yeah.
David: Yeah. And now it's back to reality.

Greenlee: Leo, you've been acting really weird all night. You showed up at S.O.S. And your shirt was all wet and you had mud on your shoes. Then you started ordering me around like no one has since physical fitness class at the Licee in Switzerland -- and don't you dare make a joke. When I asked you what the hell was going on, you shut me down. So one last time -- where were you tonight? What happened to you?
Leo: I know that I've been weirded out, Greenlee, but --
Greenlee: Thank you.
Leo: But I can't tell you, so please just give it up.
Greenlee: No. Because that would be like giving up on you and us. You know, we can't just be fun and games all the time. And don't get me wrong, I love our fun and games. But I've got to be the one you come to when you're in trouble, too.
Leo: I know. I know, but just this once, can we --
Greenlee: No, no, I can't let it go. I can't let it go because how we deal with this, whatever this is, is how we'll deal with the rest of our les. Let me help you. Let me show you how much I love you.
Leo: Greenlee, this isn't about you, I swear that.
Greenlee: Not good enough.
Leo: Do you -- do you remember when at my wedding when you were looking for your dad and you thought that he was hurt and you were so desperate to help him? You remember that? Well, that's what this is like. And that's -- that's why I can't tell you.
Greenlee: I totally understand. You don't have to say another word. Now you can kiss me. I insist on it.
Leo: When you put it like that --

[Phone rings]
Leo: Yeah?
David: Leo. I got about 17 messages from you. What's going on?
Leo: I think we've got trouble, David. Maybe big trouble.

Maggie: Look, Leo says you really cared about Frankie, but I can't handle you looking at me that way.
Bianca: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to --
Kendall: Listen, listen, I'm Kendall, Bianca's half sister. I didn't know Frankie -- I just moved back to town myself -- but I know how much Bianca cared for her. And I'm sure you can understand what a shock this has been. I mean, it's a bummer the way it happened with no warning, but Bianca's kind of under a lot of stress right now, you know?
Maggie: Yeah. I'm going to go.
Bianca: Wait!
Bianca: Maggie, can I see you again?
Maggie: Yeah. I'll come by tomorrow?
Bianca: Great. It's Myrtle Fargate's place. Just ask anybody.

Bianca: It was like she was here again. For one minute, it was like Frankie was here and -- God, it felt so good.
Kendall: I'm so sorry, Bianca. At first I didn't understand how much she meant to you, but -- but now I see how much you really loved Frankie. Now I understand.

Tad: The paperwork was done this morning. It is what you want, isn't it?
Dixie: Yeah.

David: Leo, why don't you just tell me what's going on. You said it's about Vanessa?
Leo: I'm not sure if anything is wrong. I mean, she's always done strange things. So there might be some explanation, but -- I don't know, the way she's been acting and you go back to what happened before.
David: Wait a minute, what are you talking about? What happened before, exactly?
Leo: Does any of this feel familiar to you? The way Larry took off? I mean, Vanessa said they got in a fight and he split because of that fight, but, I mean, that makes sense. It really does.
David: Are you talking about Paolo?
Leo: Look, I don't know what I'm talking about. Ok, just get here as fast as you can.

Greenlee: I don't know what the problem is, Leo, but I'm not going to let Vanessa hurt you.

Hayley: I'm sorry. I know you wanted to get Proteus --
Mateo: Stop. Stop. Shh, shh.
Hayley: And I blew your cover.
Mateo: It doesn't matter now.
Hayley: I couldn't let it go on anymore. I'm so afraid.
Mateo: I'm going to be ok.
Hayley: I'm not just afraid for you. I'm afraid for Enzo and for me. I mean, what are we going to do if they take you away from us?
Mateo: I'm going to get out of this. Ok, I don't know what Stamp's up to, but he is not putting me in jail, do you hear me? The charges, they're bogus. They're not going to stick. I'll come home soon, Enzo will come back, and we won't be pretending anymore. It's going to be over.
Hayley: No more fighting in front of everybody?
Mateo: We'll fight just for us.
Hayley: Please come back to us soon. I don't do well without you. You know that I don't do very well without you.
Mateo: I need you to do something for me, ok? I need to make sure you're safe. Make sure that -- that you're taken of, all right? Just as long as I know what you're safe, I can do anything.

Ryan: They want me to tell you that they're going to take Mateo to the cell.
Hayley: Well, I'm -- I'm not going to leave with you. I want to wait here until they come for you.
Mateo: Go. I want you to go with Ryan.
Hayley: I want to stay with you.
Mateo: It's not a good idea. It's what I want. Ok?
Mateo: Take care of her. All right? Get her out of town.
Ryan: I will. I'll take care of her.
Mateo: Go. It's going to be ok. All right? Just go. It's going to be all right. It's going to be all right.
