ALL MY CHILDREN

JANUARY 8, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Leo: I just don't see how two people who love each other so much can hate so many things about each other, you know?

Ryan: What's your stake in helping me find out the truth? Anna: I don't trust Stamp. Neither should you. It's simple as that.

Jack: Your honor, in light of the defendant changing her plea, the prosecution will be calling Kendall hart to the stand.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Erica: Kendall?
Chris: Erica, who is she?
Erica: She's my daughter.

Leo: Your sister?
Bianca: My half sister, and she hates my mother. I don't know why she's here.

Chris: Your honor, I object to the calling of this witness. She's not on the list. There's been no time for preparation.
Jack: Your honor, last this court heard, Mr. Stamp had been released from his duties as Ms. Kane's defense attorney
Judge: Mr. Stamp, you are no longer Ms. Kane's attorney. Mr. Montgomery is correct.
Jack: Thank you, your honor.
Judge: Ms. Kane, do you have any objection to the appearance of a Kendall Hart in this courtroom as a witness for the prosecution? Ms. Kane?

Leo: Which one is she?
Bianca: She's not here yet.
Greenlee: Leo, you have to come with me right now.
Leo: Greenlee, I'm sort of in the middle of something here.
Greenlee: Look, Leo -- now.
Bianca: Go ahead. It's ok. Myrtle and Opal are here. I just have to wait and see what happens. Go ahead. It's ok.

Judge: Ms. Kane, I've asked you a question.
[Gallery buzzes]
Chris: What is she doing here? Why is she being called as a witness?
[Judge pounds gavel]
Judge: Order!
Chris: Erica, what does she know about Frankie Stone's murder? Erica?
Erica: Kendall?

[In the steam room at the health club]
Anna: You've been avoiding me.
Ryan: Is that what this is?
Anna: I need to talk to you.
Ryan: Well, you're talking. You feel better?
Anna: I need to talk to you about Chris Stamp. See, we have to decide --
Ryan: No, I'm not talking to you about Chris Stamp.
Anna: Why?
Ryan: Because I have nothing to say about him.
Anna: You're going to just let him get away with murder?

Leo: You know what? Your timing really stinks. This is intense right now, and Bianca needs me, ok?
Greenlee: Not everything is about you, ok?
Leo: What?
Greenlee: What?
Leo: Did you hear yourself just now?
Greenlee: Well, it's true. I can't handle everything alone.
Leo: Oh, for crying out loud, Greenlee, I'm out of your radar reach for one afternoon. Bianca's in there watching her mother stand trial for murdering her girlfriend.
Greenlee: Leo --
Leo: No, no, no. Just let me finish, ok? Bianca has a half sister that nobody ever mentions, and now she's being called as a rebuttal witness.
Greenlee: Just like "The Practice." Big whoop.
Leo: Ok, this -- this is about to turn into a hate-fest, and I'm going to be there for Bianca.
Greenlee: And I don't need you?
Leo: I don't know, Greenlee. You tell me. What's the crisis now?
Greenlee: Well, it's a big one. It's a big, fat, neurotic one.
Leo: What are you talking about?
Greenlee: Your wife. It's the return of Laura.
Leo: Oh.

Chris: Erica, listen to me. Erica, ask the Judge for a five-minute recess. Damn it, Erica, just do it, please.
Erica: Your honor, may I have five minutes, please?
Judge: Five minutes, Ms. Kane. I'm going to stay right here. I don't want to waste any more time.

Bianca: Hey, Uncle Jack -- what are you doing?
Jack: Bianca, I didn't have a choice.
Bianca: Oh, yes, you did. How could you do this to her?

Opal: Oh, Myrtle.
Opal: Oh, Myrtle. This smells like a dead skunk on an August freeway.
Myrtle: It sure does. And I'll tell you something -- Erica is practically on the edge.
Opal: Yeah. In shock. Well, who isn't? I mean -- I just can't believe it. Kendall Hart? I mean, what rock did Jackson pull her out from under?

Chris: Erica, you have to hire me back right now. Do this for me. Hire me back right now.
Erica: Chris, I don't -- look, I have to think about this --
Chris: No, no, no, no, no. You let me do the damn thinking. Now, you cannot represent yourself. I can do this for you. Please. Erica, do not shut me out. Let me help you. I'm the only one who can get you out of this.
Erica: Yes. Yes, I want you to help me. Yes, I want you to help. Oh, I've made such a terrible, terrible mistake.

[Judge pounds gavel]
Judge: All right, let's try this again. Does the defense have any objection to the calling of a witness Kendall Hart? Chris: We need more time, your honor.
Jack: Your honor, I would again ask the court perhaps to remind Mr. Stamp he's no longer representing Ms. Kane in this matter.
Chris: I am back on the job, Jackson.
Ronnie: Unbelievable.
Chris: But we need more time to prepare, your honor. We have absolutely no information on the calling of this witness, so we respectfully request from the court a recess, which will give us time to prepare properly.
Judge: Granted.
Chris: Thank you, your honor.
Judge: This court will recess for one hour. Ms. Kane, don't play games with my court. I mean it.
[Judge pounds gavel]
Bailiff: All rise.

Bianca: Uncle Jack, what is going on?
Jack: Bianca, sometimes things just happen this way. I'm sorry.
Bianca: Are you really?
Jack: With all of my heart, I'm sorry, yes.
Bianca: Well, this is going to kill her, Uncle Jack. Is that what you really want?
Jack: Your mother's survived much worse than this. And with Chris back on the job, she's not alone, ok, Honey?

Erica: Chris -- thank you for standing by me.
Chris: Well, you don't make that an easy thing to do, Darling.
Erica: I never should have fired you.
Chris: Why don't we just talk about that at another time. Right now I need you to tell me everything you can about Kendall.
Erica: I fired you because I really had to take the stand and -- and you were fighting me on that.
Chris: Erica, we could talk about that for a year and I would never get you to understand why you made a mistake. So let's just drop it and move forward, ok?
Erica: Look, I had to let Bianca know how much I feel for her, how much I love her. You understand that, don't you?
Chris: Look, Erica, I know how much you love Bianca. But I have to be more pragmatic than you tend to be. Now, why didn't you ever mention to me that you had another daughter?
Erica: We don't have a relationship, and certainly not one that I would ever speak of.
Chris: Look, you know, we're going to revisit that part at some other time. But for right now, you need to tell me, what in the world could this girl possibly know about Frankie Stone's murder?
Erica: Chris, I just don't know.
Chris: When was the last time you saw her?
Erica: I don't even remember.
Chris: Have you spoken to her recently?
Erica: We don't speak. Look, she's out to ruin me. She lives for moments like this. I'm sure that she reached out to Jackson. And Jackson is so hell-bent on ruining me himself, I'm sure he jumped all over the chance to put her on the stand.
Chris: No.
Erica: No, what?
Chris: No. No, Jackson doesn't need to do a character assassination. He already has a case without that.
Erica: Insurance maybe? Is this insurance, Chris?
Chris: No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. There's something else. There's something else that's underneath all of this. Can you tell me anything, anything at all that she might know that she might want to bring forward now?
Chris: You need to be honest with me right now.
Erica: I am. I am.
Chris: No, you're not. No, you're not. Otherwise I wouldn't have just found out that you have another daughter.
Erica: You don't understand.
Chris: No, I understand. I understand that you think you can control everything, that you can steer every ship that you board. Let me tell you something, lady. You are in way over your head this time. You are facing a capital murder charge. You risk spending -- understand this -- the rest of your life in prison if you don't let me do my job and give me the information that I need. Now, are you willing to tell me something? What aren't you telling me?

Ryan: I don't come here to talk.
Anna: Well, while your pores are opening, you're going to talk to me.
Ryan: Nope. I'm just going to try and relax -- apparently something you and everybody else refuses to let me do.
Anna: Did you talk to Chris Stamp about your father, about his death?
[Ryan sighs]
Anna: Ryan? Ryan?
Ryan: Yes, I did.
Anna: And?
Ryan: And there is absolutely nothing to know.
Anna: If there was, I'd know about it.
Ryan: Not from me, you wouldn't.
Anna: I'm not asking these questions for my health. As lovely as this steam room is, I'm trying to build a case against Stamp. That's why I gave you the bureau's number.
Ryan: Yeah, and a lot of help that was to me. Thank you very much. Look, this is what I know. I know my father was a drug dealer, I know Chris Stamp is a federal agent, and Chris killed my dad in a drug bust -- end of story.
Anna: Hardly.
Ryan: Well, it's the end for me.
Anna: I don't -- don't you want to get the details? Ryan: What was your father like?
Anna: We're not talking about my father.
Ryan: No, I'm just curious. Did you know him? Did you love him? Because I thought I knew my father, and he made me hate him right from the start. And now I have the distinct pleasure of finding out that he's more of a disgusting human being that I even thought he was. So you think I want to find out all about him? You think I want to find out what made him tick or why he took a wrong turn or when? You know what, Anna? I really don't.
Anna: Ok.
Ryan: Because it's humiliating and it's depressing and it's more debilitating than I ever thought possible. So please just go out and harass somebody else and get out of my face.
Anna: Your father's death --
Ryan: Is none of your business. Why the hell do you even care about him at all?

Leo: This better be important. What the hell happened in here?
Greenlee: I'm working here.
Leo: If Erica wasn't worried about going to prison for the rest of her life, I'm pretty sure she --
Greenlee: Would you just be quiet and listen to me? I need your help.
Leo: Cleaning up?
Greenlee: I told you this is about Laura.
Leo: Yeah, and you also said that you couldn't tell me about it until we got here. So, now we're here, in Erica's beautiful and now disgusting office.
Greenlee: I'm trying to run a multinational cosmetics empire here, Leo.
[Leo chuckles]
Leo: Oh, excuse me.
Greenlee: Are you mocking me?
Leo: No, I'm trying to figure out why you brought me here when I was trying to help Bianca.
Greenlee: Are you listening to me?
Leo: Every word, Greenlee. Except that you're only making sense in every other word.
Greenlee: Leo!
Leo: What?
Greenlee: I am pulling this off here. Don't you get it?
Leo: Yeah, I get -- I get -- what, filling in as Erica's CEO? I don't --
Greenlee: Yes!
Leo: Honey, I think that's great. I really do.
Greenlee: Do you also know that it's taking everything I have to do it?
Leo: Well, I know that you're working a hell of a lot more than I wish you were.
Greenlee: You don't see my point at all, do you?
Leo: I didn't know you had a point anywhere in this room, Greenlee. I'm sorry.
Greenlee: Leo, I'm in trouble.
Leo: What, pulling this off at enchantment? What?
Greenlee: Pay attention. Because of your wife.

Erica: Chris, I honestly have no idea what Kendall -- other than what I mentioned to you -- that she wants to discredit me. I mean, that's what she's all about. She heard what's going on here in Pine Valley, and that's --
Erica: Opal? Opal, what's going on?
Bailiff: Mr. Stamp, the Judge wants you in chambers.
Jack: Both of us.
Chris: Stay right here. You don't talk to anyone -- not even if it's Opal and Myrtle -- unless it's about the weather.

Opal: Honey, now, just brace yourself.
Erica: Is she here?
Myrtle: She's in
the corridor. Erica: Well, then I should go talk with her.
Myrtle: No, no, don't.
Opal: That's a bad idea, a very bad --
Erica: I am not afraid of Kendall, and I'm not afraid of anything she has to say to me.
Bianca: Mom, maybe you should just stay here.
Erica: No.
Myrtle: Oh, my heavens, no.
Opal: This is not going to be pretty.

Erica: I am just going out into the hallway.
Officer: No, I've been instructed --
Erica: Officer, I am Erica Kane. Now, my daughter has something to say to me. You step aside.

Leo: Would you please stop calling Laura my wife?
Greenlee: Unless you ran off to the Dominican Republic without telling me, that's what Laura still is, Leo.
Leo: Please, for the love of God, tell me what the hell you're talking about. Please.
Greenlee: She's suing me.
Leo: For what?
Greenlee: Breaking up your marriage.
Leo: Ok, that's -- that's ridiculous.
Greenlee: Well, the ridiculousness is not the point, Leo.
Leo: Sure it is. She's just looking for ways make trouble for us again, that's all.
Greenlee: Yeah, yeah, yeah -- that is the point. Leo, she is going to ruin me here.
Leo: How?
Greenlee: I'm going to be all over the tabs. I can't take on that kind of bad publicity.
Leo: Oh, no, no, no. Wait a second. You're the one who told me that the Lacey's people said that there was no such thing as bad publicity, right?
Greenlee: Yeah, well, they're not going to stand for the CEO indicted for murder and her stand-in being called the other woman. It's too much. I mean, I am milking this Erica thing for everything I can, but it's a delicate balance. And this little stunt from your nut job of a wife is really going to send me over the edge.
Leo: Honey -- it's never going to see the light of day, I promise.
Greenlee: Yeah? How can you know that?
Leo: Because she can sue me for divorce but she can't sue you for being the person that I actually fell in love with. Come on.
Greenlee: Do you swear it's not going to make it into the papers?
Leo: Well, if it does, she's the one who's going to get the bad publicity, and she doesn't want that. She just wants to hurt me. I'll talk to her.
Greenlee: When?
Leo: Whenever I see her.
Greenlee: No, talk to her now.
Leo: I'd rather talk to you now.
Greenlee: You would?
Leo: I would. Is that door locked?
Greenlee: Why?
Leo: I don't know. It's like a ghost town, Greenlee. Everybody's at the courthouse. Brilliant.
Greenlee: I thought you were mad at me for pulling you away from your little friend. Now you want to take me in my boss' office? Leo: I was mad at you, but I'm not anymore. Now all I want is just to be with you.

Anna: Chris Stamp killed your father, covered it up, lied about it, and then confessed in some noble act of truth-telling? Well, I don't buy that. That is why I am interested in how your father died.
Ryan: I don't really care. Anna: Really?
Ryan: No, I don't. I wish I never met him. I wish he went back to wherever he came from. Period.
Anna: Well, see, I don't think that Stamp is just some agent who got away with murder. I'm beginning to believe that he might be part of this drug cartel. He might even be the head of it. And if that is the truth and if he is trying to use you --
Ryan: How would he be using me?
Anna: Look, I am trying to figure it out!
Ryan: Well, you just go out and you figure out and you do whatever you have to do because I don't care. I really don't. So you do whatever it is that you're doing without ever having to come and talk to me again, ok? Do you understand that?
Anna: Ryan --
Ryan: Anna, please, don't make me carry you out of here.
Anna: Oh.
Ryan: Just get the hell out of my life, ok?
[Anna leaves]

[Phone rings]
[Phone rings]
Ryan: What?
Liza: Ryan?
Ryan: Oh -- Liza, sorry. Hey.
Liza: Are you busy?
Ryan: What's going on?
Liza: I just was wondering if you could come by the house to see me.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah, I can. What, did something happen?
Liza: Yeah. Could you hurry?
Ryan: All right. I'll be right over.

Reporter: She's here.
Second reporter: Will she make a statement?
First reporter: Ms. Kane --
Third reporter: Ms. Kane --
Kendall: Hello, Erica.
[Erica slaps Kendal]
[Cameras click]
Woman: Oh, my God.
Reporter: Ms. Kane, how do you think this will affect the trial?
Second reporter: What are you here to testify about, Kendall?
Third reporter: When's the last time you and your mother spoke?
Bailiff: All right, all right, all right. That's enough. Excuse me. Back off. Back off.
Reporter: Oh, come on.

Bianca: You know, maybe we should just leave them alone and let them talk for a while.
Opal: Well, it doesn't look like there's going to be a whole lot of talking. A little fur flying, maybe.
Myrtle: Bianca's right. Let's give them a moment.
Opal: So they can eat each other alive?

Erica: I trusted you.
Kendall: I used to trust you, too.
Erica: What are you planning to say on that witness stand?
Chris: Erica -- do you ever listen to anything I say? Give us a minute, please. I got the Judge to give us a break. We're recessed till morning. Come on. Let's go.
Reporter: Ms. Kane --
Second reporter: Wait --
First reporter: Were you surprised --

Myrtle: Listen, darling, they've adjourned. Let's go and have a drink.
Opal: I'm right behind you, Myrt. Can we buy you something to eat, Honey?
Bianca: No, thank you.
Opal: You sure?
Bianca: Yeah, I'm fine.
Opal: All right. You take care. Don't do anything you can't take back.
Bianca: I won't.
Opal: All right?

Kendall: Hi to you, too. The witty conversationalist, as always. Later.
Bianca: Wait.
Kendall: Yo, sister.
Bianca: Kendall, where do you think you're going?
Kendall: What do you care?
Bianca: I care a lot. And you're not leaving. Not yet.

Greenlee: Are you for real?
Leo: Oh, I'm realer than real.
Greenlee: I'm not having sex with you in Erica's office.
Leo: Come on. We just did it in her secret little room the other day. What -- I thought that a little variety was good for a relationship.
Greenlee: Are you out of your mind, really?
Leo: Come on. A little --
[Leo drums on desk]
Leo: Desktop love. I'll bet you'll never look at this desk the same way again.
Greenlee: No! No way! Not on a glass-top desk. Are you out of your mind? I hate hospitals, remember?
Leo: Come on. Come on. You work too hard. This is every businesswoman's fantasy, Greenlee.
Greenlee: How do you know?
Leo: Oh, that's -- that's a low blow, but I like it. Come on. Let's christen the couch.
Greenlee: Oh! Don't be an idiot. This is the office of the CEO
Leo: Who is currently on trial for murder as we speak. And who, I think, would thoroughly approve, somewhere down in her passionate soul, of re-karma-izing this office. I wonder how many times she's done it in here.
Greenlee: Oh, now I'm really turned on. Leo, this is stupid.
Leo: No, this is reckless, Greenlee. Just the way you like it.
Greenlee: Yeah, but I'm --
Leo: What, boring?
Greenlee: I'm in charge and I'm responsible and -- did you just call me boring?
Leo: Boring, boring, boring.
Greenlee: Boring?
Leo: Yeah. Greenlee: Yeah? Boring?
Leo: Yeah.
Greenlee: You think this is boring?
Leo: Oh, what, like that's supposed to get me all hot? Like, ooh, ooh -- ooh. Wow, that's -- that's actually -- is that new?
Greenlee: Not too staid? Not too boring? I'll show you boring.

Ryan: Hey. I cannot tell you how badly I needed some good news when you called me. That is why you called me, right? You told Adam you're leaving him? You're going to tell Adam you're leaving him, aren't you, Liza?
Liza: I love him.
Ryan: Oh, no.
Liza: I tore up the divorce papers in front of him.
Ryan: Oh, what, he found out that you were thinking about it?
Liza: Yes, but I love him. How can you leave somebody that you love?
Ryan: My mother loved my father, and he was an abusive jackass. You want to end up like her, Liza? Miserable and --
Liza: This is not the same situation.
Ryan: Look, I know it must be scary to let go and to move on, but you realize this is wrong, right? He's wrong for you.
Liza: This is -- this is what I want. Doesn't that matter to you?
Ryan: What about Colby?
Liza: I told him. I -- look, he loves her. I can see it. I can feel it. He's made a million mistakes, but he loves his children.
Ryan: One of his mistakes cost you a child, Liza -- my child.
Liza: Is that what this is going to be about?
Ryan: What the hell else would it be about?
Liza: So I dump my husband so you can get revenge. Don't you care what I want?
Ryan: This is personal, Liza, for me. Can't you understand that?
Liza: You know, with all due respect, I'm the one who lost the child, not you. So please do not minimize the devastation that I felt upon losing that child.
Ryan: I'm not trying to minimize.
Liza: Look, we all have problems, and we get over them. I have. Will you?

Kendall: Well, you must be eating a little better. Your grip's improved.
Bianca: And you're still a bottom-feeder, aren't you, Kendall?
Kendall: What do you want from me, Bianca, huh?
Bianca: Listen, I don't know what your angle is, but our mother can't take much more. Do you hear me?
Kendall: What, so now you're, like, her big defender again? Didn't she blow away your girlfriend? I know you're probably in pain.
Bianca: Why are you here?
Kendall: Same reason you are.
Bianca: Kendall, I really doubt that.
Kendall: You know, you really have grown up. I mean, I saw those pictures of you in the tabs when you got outed, but you're even prettier than you look --
Bianca: Kendall, just spit it out. What are you doing here? What are you going to do on the witness stand?
Kendall: Answer whatever questions Jackson asks me.
Bianca: What do you know about Frank-- about her --
Kendall: Murder? I read about how you don't remember the night it happened. Like a posttraumatic stress reaction or something? Boy, who knows what you're repressing, hmm?
Bianca: Kendall --
Kendall: Maybe that's just nature's way of protecting you. Because the truth could be really, really painful for you to look at, don't you think? Man, sometimes I wish I could block out stuff from my past. Selectively, of course.
Bianca: Kendall, what are you doing here? Are you really going to go this far just to get back at Mom?
Kendall: Far, how?
Bianca: Come to Pine Valley, pretend you know something about Frankie's death, lie under oath.
Kendall: You're acting awfully hurt. Like me being here has anything to do with you.
Bianca: I'm not. And it's about Mom, and you know it.
Kendall: Of course it is. It is her murder trial, isn't it?
Bianca: You know, you're just not going to be a human being anytime soon, are you? You're just here to hurt mom, and I'm not going to let you.
Kendall: What are you going to do, shut me up the way she shut up your girlfriend? Hang on, prodigal daughter. There's one more thing you should know.
Kendall: Look, we shouldn't be doing this. I know you've been through hell, and I know a little about that. Gosh, all those stories in tabs and on the net -- that's way hard. I mean, it's hard enough being who you are, isn't it?
Bianca: Do you mean being gay? Is that what you're getting at, Kendall? Do I look like it bothers me?
Kendall: No. You're fabulously well-adjusted, Bianca -- even if our mother doesn't think so.
Bianca: What?
Kendall: I know all about how unaccepting she's been. And I did hear about that big play she made on the stand today. "Too little too late," I'm guessing you're thinking. But here's what I wanted to tell you --
Bianca: Oh, I can hardly wait.
Kendall: Mom doesn't like outsiders. That's why she never liked me. She didn't like that she had to admit that an ugly, little secret like who I am ever had to come out, ever had to make her look in the mirror for anything more than a lipstick check. I was an outsider. And you -- because of who you've decided you are -- you're an outsider, too.
Bianca: I didn't decide to be gay, Kendall.
Kendall: And I didn't decide to let that woman give birth to me. But we're both different. And mother doesn't do different, does she, Bink?

Ryan: He's doing it again. I can't believe it.
Liza: Doing what?
Ryan: He's getting away with murder, and you are letting him.
Liza: What? He's not getting away with anything.
Ryan: You realize he is no different then Chris Stamp.
Liza: Now, wait a second. Chris killed your father, for heaven's sakes.
Ryan: Right, and Adam killed my child.
Liza: No. Would you -- you're not being fair. This isn't right. Look, I know that you're -- you're heartbroken, that you saw a crack in a window when you found out that I was pregnant and it was your baby. But don't do this to yourself.
Ryan: Is this what money and power buys you? I'm just curious. You can do anything you want and rule over everyone and suffer no consequences?
Liza: Ryan --
Ryan: You told me to let this go. But I'm not letting anything go ever again.
Liza: Ryan, wait.
Ryan: The only reason that I don't stay here and wait for your husband to rip his head off is because I would be no better than he is.

Erica: Chris, I can just get what I have to take home, and I could meet you in the car. Chris: No, I'm going to stay here with you. This place is empty, and I don't want you to be alone. Besides, the reporters who followed us might've scaled the building walls and they're waiting around here somewhere to ambush you.
Erica: I doubt it. But I really do appreciate your concern.
Chris: Look, why don't you just go inside, get your work, and we'll take it home with you, ok?
Erica: You seem angry, Chris.
Chris: Angry? I've got a few things on my mind, though.
Erica: Well, I mean, you didn't speak, you know, on the whole drive over.
Chris: Mm-hmm.
Erica: Are you ever going to forgive me for firing you in front of the whole courtroom?
Chris: Don't forget the jury.
Erica: Yeah. Look, I -- I'm sorry. And I hope that you're not angry with me. Please don't be. I needed to say what I said to Bianca. I really needed to, and I needed -- I need you, Chris. I really do.
Erica: You had a whole beautiful presentation to defend me, and I ruined it.
Chris: Yes, you did. I want to tell you something, Erica. I want to help you. But if you're going to continually sabotage yourself, I can't. You make it impossible.
Erica: I'll do whatever you say.
Chris: Then you'll tell me everything I need to know about your daughter when we get home?
Erica: What?
Chris: Kendall Hart. Everything -- and I mean everything.
Erica: What is there to know? I mean, I'm sure that she's here to smear me for sport. I'm sure that she's been waiting years for something like this to happen, so she could just swoop in and attack me. I'm going to need you, Chris, in the courtroom tomorrow. I'm going to need you to defend me against whatever it is she's going to do tomorrow. Will you, please? Please, will you do that?
Chris: Why don't you just get what you need and we'll go home, ok?

[Erica tries to go into her office]
Erica: It's locked.
Chris: Don't you have a key?
Erica: No. I mean, I never lock it. It's a fire code thing.
[Erica rattles door]
Erica: Chris, I know you probably feel like you can't trust me right now --
Chris: That's an understatement.
Erica: I'd be lost without you. I mean that. You believe me, don't you? I need you so much.
Chris: I'm with you, Erica. You don't make it easy on me, but I'm with you.
Erica: Ok, look -- well, while you have a look around, I'll go in and pick up my messages, ok?
Chris: Ok.

Chris: You may think I'm a patsy, lady. You're wrong. Dead wrong.

Erica: What --
Erica: Greenlee!
Erica: Oh. You missed a button.

Myrtle: Oh, Sweetheart. Hey. How are you doing? We are never given more than we can cope with, I promise you.
Bianca: I care about Mom.
Myrtle: I know you do.
Bianca: But I'm s angry. I'm so unbelievably upset with her, and she needs me now and I should be there for her. I don't know if I feel guilty because know I should -- or if I really want to try and forgive her and be who she wants me to be right now.
Myrtle: Darling, what you need is time. Too much has happened to you already.
Bianca: Myrtle, I had to say what I said today --
Myrtle: Well, of course you did. You had to tell the truth. Your mother knew that.
Bianca: Myrtle -- she killed Frankie. And I still love her.
Myrtle: Frankie?
Bianca: Mom. Did you see her face when she heard Kendal was here?
Myrtle: Yes, I saw. Everyone saw.
Bianca: Why is she here?
Myrtle: Kendall? God knows. God help us
