ALL MY CHILDREN

JULY 14, 2000

Greenlee: Just say it, Ryan. You can tell me anything.
Ryan: You know, I thought that at one point.
Greenlee: What is it?
Ryan: Well, I have a sort of a confession to make.
Greenlee: About your feelings?
Ryan: Yes. I'm -- I'm not jealous of you and Leo.
Greenlee: Ryan, it's ok.
Ryan: I never have been jealous of you and Leo, and I don't think I ever will be.
Greenlee: Ryan, you don't have to justify your feelings and pretend they don't exist.
Ryan: Because I don't -- I don't love you, Greenlee.
Greenlee: What?
Ryan: I don't love you. So if you and Leo have, you know, something going on, I wish you all the best. I hope it works out.
Greenlee: But it won't. I mean, it can't. Leo and I are just friends. I told you that before.
Ryan: Yeah, well, maybe you should rethink that because you seem pretty perfect for each other.
Greenlee: Wait -- wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. If you and I have nothing, then why have you been acting all jealous?
Ryan: Actually, I haven't been acting all jealous. You just -- you just thought I was, so I went along with it.
Greenlee: No, but we've been going out. You've been asking me. You even said that you didn't want to rush this, Ryan. "This," "this" -- what's "this"?
Ryan: "This" is -- I have to explain "this," why I've been asking you out and spending time with you, and it has nothing to do with Leo. And it has nothing to do with you and me. It has to do with something else altogether.
Greenlee: What?

Gillian: Jake's missing?
Joe: I just heard about it. Ruth doesn't even know yet. She's in the OR, So --
Gillian: And Tad?
Joe: Well, I'll tell him as soon as he gets here. He's on his way here now.
Gillian: But w did this happen? When -- when did this happen?
Joe: Well, I don't really know. I just know the outline of the thing. The man who's in charge of the search said he -- he just gave me the bare facts, is all he gave me.
Gillian: What do you mean, "The search"? Did the helicopter crash? Did --
Joe: I don't know. I don't know. They don't know, either. They don't know. What I could make out -- what I could make out was that he and a group of doctors were flying to some remote part of Chechnya, and they were going to treat some injured civilians.
Gillian: What do you mean, all you could make out?
Joe: Well, the phone connection was very bad. But what they told me was that the base lost contact with the helicopter. They never heard from them again.
Gillian: Was he captured? The -- Jake's alive, right?
Joe: I hope to God he's alive.
Gillian: Oh, God.

Tad: Pop? What is it? What's going on?
Joe: It's -- it's Jake. His Medevac helicopter is lost.
Tad: Is he ok?
Joe: They don't know. They couldn't find the copter and they can't find him.

Marilyn: Hello? Are you still there?
Arlene: Yeah, I'm here.
Marilyn: Great. So, do you know this guy, Stuart?
Arlene: Look, you know what? You have the wrong number.
Marilyn: Uh, what about Adam?
Arlene: What? What did you just say?
Marilyn: My friend had his name and phone number. That's why I'm calling. Do you know Adam?
Arlene: I might.
Marilyn: What about a place called the Chandler Gallery?
Arlene: Yeah, I've heard of it.
Marilyn: Great. Uh -- uh -- ahem. See, it's really important that my friend Stuart finds somebody that knows him.
Arlene: How do I know this isn't a con?
Marilyn: Well, I'll describe him to you. The guy I'm talking about is good-looking, older, tall, blue sparkly eyes, and this wavy gray hair. It's silvery. It's like hair to die for.
Arlene: This isn't possible. Look, if you can --

Adam: For God's sake, hang up the phone. If you can't get rid of them, I will.
Arlene: No, no, no, no. Let me talk. Apparently, I win some prize if I check out some vacation time-share for a couple of hours.
Adam: Arlene, Arlene, it's a scam. Hang up.
Arlene: No, it's worth a listen. I promise I won't buy a chalet.
Adam: As if that could remotely be possible.

Arlene: Ok, lady -- who is this and what's going on?
Marilyn: All right, my name is Marilyn, and I'm trying to help this guy Stuart find out who he is. See, he came into my dad's diner a few months ago, and he said he couldn't remember anything about his past. But he wants to find out so he can go back home.
Arlene: Marilyn, is it?
Marilyn: Yeah.
Arlene: Yeah. Have you called anyone else?
Marilyn: Yeah, but it was a wrong number. Why?
Arlene: I just was wondering if you had talked to anyone else about him.
Marilyn: Well, I would've gone to the press, except we're really smack in the middle of nowhere and nothing.
Arlene: Well, I've been there. Ok, now, listen, let's just be cool about this. I don't want to get this guy's hopes up until I've checked him out, see if he's who I think he is.
Marilyn: Ok, that sounds good. Are you coming here?
Arlene: Yeah. Now, I need your address and directions. Ok. Queen of Hearts. Got that. No, I think I'm going to rent a car and get the directions from the rental place. All right, I'll see you soon.

Adam: Are you going somewhere?

Tad: Well, I -- it was dangerous, but you can't say I was prepared for this one.
Joe: Yeah, I know. I've been following the news very closely about what's going on over there. I never expected it, either
. Tad: Did you tell Ma?
Joe: No. No, she's in the OR. I didn't want to pull her out till maybe I had a little more information. Remember when Phillip was missing in Vietnam -- you know, how terrified she was. She couldn't sleep. It's the same thing all over again.
Tad: No, wait. No, no, it's not. Listen, times are different, ok? Communication is different. They got cell phones, pop. They got satellites, satellite photography.
Joe: Well, the fact is he's missing in a war zone that's notorious for being brutal. I mean, back then when Phil was growing up, Ruth was always afraid that, you know, he'd have to go to war. I mean, that was every -- that was every parent's dread. But now we expect our sons to be safe. No war, no draft. I don't know how I'm going to tell her.
Tad: Now, wait a minute. Just a minute. Phillip made it home. Jake's going to make it home, too.
Joe: Yeah, you're right. He is. He is. He'll make it home. He's resourceful, he's determined.
Tad: Absolutely. He's going to make it home. He's resourceful, he's intelligent, he's -- he's capable. If either of you two say that or tell him when he comes home, I'm going to call you a liar. In the meantime -- wait a minute, what am I thinking? We could call Adrian. He's got government contacts. All he's got to do is make one phone call. He'll find out what he can. It's better than sitting around doing nothing.
Joe: Right, you're right. Anything we can do, anything at all to get Jake back home to people who love him. We're all going to pull together on this.

Greenlee: You mean to tell me that you weren't interested in me at all? No. I don't buy that.
Ryan: It just kind of happened. Sort of a mistake the way it unfolded.
Greenlee: A mistake? No, a mistake is when you pick the wrong color lipstick or you forget to carry a number while balancing your checkbook. You made me believe that you really care about me, Ryan. And then, just like that -- "oops"?
Ryan: I really didn't mean for it to go this far, Greenlee.
Greenlee: God, do you really hate me that much? What did I do to you? I've been your friend, your confidante --
Ryan: My mystery dreamer? Yes, I know you're Cynthia. I know you sent me those e-mails pretending to be so vulnerable, to be from out of town, all alone.
Greenlee: Why would I pretend to be Cynthia? She's pathetic.
Ryan: She's you, Greenlee.
Greenlee: You know what, Ryan? You're making a huge mistake.
Ryan: You know what? I'm not making a huge mistake. And you're lying, and I know that because --

[Telephone rings]

Greenlee: I'll get it.
Ryan: No, you know what? I'll get it. You've done enough already. You stay right there.

[Ring]

Ryan: Hello? incredibledreams.com.
Gillian: Ryan, it's Gillian. Is Adrian there?
Ryan: No, he's not. What's wrong?
Gillian: Jake's Medevac helicopter went down. It's -- it's gone and so is Jake, and we don't know if he's alive.

Arlene: Uh, I'm to check out a new interior designer.
Adam: I thought you were on the phone with a time-share telemarketer.
Arlene: Well, I was, but the we got to talking, and I was telling her how hard it was to get away, being the owner of the bar and all.
Adam: No, I own the bar. You own diddly.
Arlene: Well, I didn't get into details with the saleswoman.
Adam: So what we have is a designer who's moonlighting as a telemarketer?
Arlene: No, of course not. It's her brother. And he has the most amazing clientele -- movie stars, directors, celebrity chefs. I want to redo the bar.
Adam: No. The bar is fine the way it is.
Arlene: Oh, come on. It's a dump. Now, how do you expect to entice people to help you bring down Chandler Enterprises? I mean, who's going to take you seriously in a dive like that, huh?
Adam: I will explain to them that it's cleverly disguised as a front.
Arlene: Ok. But you know, since we own that place, we might as well make some moolah off it, right? And that means atmosphere. It means better lighting, tables that don't wobble. Oh, come on, Adam. Let me just talk to this designer.
Adam: Fine, if it'll get you out of here for a while. Go, fine.
Arlene: Ok, that a boy. Ooh, do you want to come with me and check out -- oh, I don't know, window treatments and paint cards?
Adam: I'd rather be audited by the IRS
Arlene: Be careful what you wish for. I'm off.
Adam: Where are you going, Center City?
Arlene: Well, no, it's a little further out than that. It's -- his studio's out west. I was wondering if I could borrow the jet.
Adam: Ha. Well, you'd better call Tad and Liza about that, see if you can borrow it.
Arlene: Well, I was hoping I'd get there right away.
Adam: Here. Here, take -- take this, charge it to my Swiss account. Charter a jet. I'll take it off my income tax.
Arlene: You are the best.
Adam: Ugh.
Arlene: Now, I'm just going to pack a quick bag and, you know -- well, if I have to stay overnight.

Adam: Winifred!
Winifred: Yes, Mr. Chandler?
Adam: Were you hiding, listening behind the door?
Winifred: No, sir. No. What may I get for you?
Adam: Nothing. I want you to take this fishing stuff and put it someplace else. I don't want to see anything else that reminds me of my brother ever again.
Winifred: Yes. Yes, Mr. Chandler.
Adam: Just do it!

Esther: Oh, oh, careful! Oh!
Stuart: Sorry.
Esther: Oh! Oh, here, here.
Stuart: Get the chair.
Esther: All right.
Marilyn: What happened?
Judd: Coyote?
Stuart: Oh, no. Esther turned her ankle trying to climb a butte.
Judd: Ooh, that must've been a beaut. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Oh, you better not do that. You take that shoe off that ankle, it's going to swell up like a hedgehog. Now, you're going to have to soak that in some ice and prop that foot up.
Stuart: Yeah, he's right. He's right. I'll take you back to the trailer, and then I'll get a bucket of ice.
Esther: Oh, now, careful, Stuart.
Stuart: Come on.
Esther: You practically carried me the whole way back.
Judd: I can get her back to the trailer. You better not pull your back out there, Stuart.
Stuart: Are you sure you don't mind?
Judd: No, I don't mind.
Stuart: Ok.
Judd: Esther can't weigh that much.
Esther: Woo!
Judd: Ooh. Whoa!
Esther: Oh, Stuart!
Stuart: I'll get the bucket of ice. Ok.

Esther: Oh!
Stuart: Did -- did you have any luck contacting that Adam person?
Marilyn: Actually, no. Not yet. But I left a message, and the person I spoke with said they'd pass it on and get back to me.
Stuart: Ok. Did anybody recognize my name?
Marilyn: Not so far. I'm sorry. I just thought it was best to talk to this Adam guy personally.
Stuart: Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. I hope somebody calls back, though.
Marilyn: Don't give up, Stuart. I'm sure we'll get some answers real soon.
Stuart: Yeah. Oh, I better get that ice.

Gillian: Tad suggested that we call Adrian and see if he has any of his contacts to maybe help find Jake.
Ryan: Yeah, Adrian is definitely your man, but he's -- he's at S.O.S. All morning.
Gillian: Good. I think Tad's calling over there now.
Ryan: Is everything ok? How's, you know, the family?
Gillian: We're doing the best we can.
Ryan: Right. I understand. I understand. Well, I'm not going to keep you. I am so sorry to hear this. I am sure it's all going to work out. I hope you find Adrian, help you out with this.
Gillian: Thanks.
Ryan: So I'll -- I'll talk to you soon.
Gillian: Ok.

Greenlee: What was that all about? Something wrong?
Ryan: It was Gillian looking for Adrian. Jake's helicopter went down in Chechnya.
Greenlee: Oh, my God. Gillian must be beside herself.
Ryan: Yeah, she is.
Greenlee: Well, who can blame her? But Jake's a strong guy. He can survive.
Ryan: Well, let's hope so, for everybody's sake. Ahem.
Greenlee: Especially Gillian's. Is there anything that we could do for them? Jake and Gillian?
Ryan: What? No, no. You know what, Greenlee? Just, please, stay out of this.
Greenlee: Is this because of the Cynthia thing? Ryan, what do I have to do to make you believe me? You are all wrong about me and Cynthia.
Ryan: I'm not going to argue about this. Greenlee, I know you're Cynthia. I know you are. Ok? You would always ask me if I'd heard from her, over and over again. And all of a sudden, I would get an e-mail, just like that. How long did you think you could play me for a fool, Greenlee?
Greenlee: What, so this is about payback? You led me on to get back at me?
Ryan: No, no, no. You know, you can call it whatever you want. I really don't have time for these games. This conversation's over. I got to go change.
Greenlee: Ryan --

Gillian: Did you talk to Adrian?
Tad: No. I can't find him. But I'm going to call S.O.S. Again in a minute.

Dixie: If you think I'm going to be sidetracked by lunch, you can forget it. I still think Dimitri's family has a right to know that he's alive.
David: Dixie, we keep going in circles about this. My patient doesn't want anyone to know about his condition.
Dixie: Yeah, and doctor/patient confidentiality is sacred -- yadda, yadda, yadda.
David: Yes, that's absolutely correct, and you should know that. Weren't you a patients' rights advocate when you were at the hospital? You probably even fought for a patient's right to die with dignity.
Dixie: Dimitri is not hooked up to a life-support machine. His family is not disputing his right to live. In fact, as far as they know, aside from Edmund, he isn't even alive, ok? It's a big difference.

Dixie: Tad?
Gillian: You go talk to her. I'll call Adrian at S.O.S.

[Music plays]

Marilyn: How's Esther's ankle?
Stuart: Well, it's pretty puffed up. But your dad wrapped a bandage around it. I thought I'd come over to help you set up since your dad's over at the trailer.
Marilyn: Right, get ready for the stampede that's coming through here.
Stuart: Did you have any luck with those phone calls?
Marilyn: Not so far. But we have to be patient.
Stuart: Yeah, that's right. I'm just a little antsy, I guess. I've been trying to find out who I am for such a long time. I want to go home.
Marilyn: Can I ask you something personal?
Stuart: Sure. Hope I can answer it.
Marilyn: Are you happy with Esther? I mean, isn't the trailer your home?
Stuart: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Kind -- kind of. Esther is such a sweet person. She loves me so much. There's just something missing, that's all.
Marilyn: I know what you mean. My dad thinks that I'll be ok living here for the rest of my life. But if I do, I'll shrivel up and die. There is nothing to do here. There's no mall, no friends, no boys, no cable. At least I have the internet. I have some contact with the outside world. I don't know what I would do without that. I think I'd probably go throw myself on a cactus.
Stuart: Oh, you should have some friends. You should have people your own age that you can hang out with and -- and go to movies and concerts and -- and eat out with and stuff.
Marilyn: It sounds like you know some kids.
Stuart: Yeah, it does. I don't know why.
Marilyn: Hey, if we find out that you come from someplace really exciting like New York or Los Angeles, can I come with you?
Stuart: You --
Marilyn: I mean, heck, anyplace is better than this.
Stuart: You can come and visit me anytime.
Marilyn: Really? Oh, awesome!
Stuart: If your dad says it's ok.
Marilyn: Never mind. I should just forget about the whole thing.

Singers: Please come and get me and take me to your world

Greenlee: Can we just sit down and talk this through?
Ryan: Not right now. I really have to be someplace. Ahem.
Greenlee: You know, Gillian's probably surrounded by the Martins. You don't have to rush to her side and hold her hand.
Ryan: If I wanted to rush to her side and hold her hand, I would've done so a long time ago. But because you're so interested, I'm actually going to meet Robert Winship again. He gave me a second chance to sell him on IncredibleDreams.
Greenlee: Well, that's -- that's terrific. I mean, after the way you blew him off at Hayley and Mateo's wedding, I'm surprised he gave you a second shot. But do you want me to go with you?
Ryan: No, thanks. I can handle it.
Greenlee: Yeah, but I can convince him --
Ryan: I said I can manage, thank you. I better get going.
Greenlee: Come here. Your tie's crooked.
Ryan: All right, thanks. I -- I got I
Greenlee: Whatever. Good luck.

[Knock on door]

Greenlee: I knew you'd be back. Gramps. What are you doing here? Did Ryan see you?
Woodruff: No, no, no, no. Relax, Greenlee. Relax. Been quite awhile since I checked out my investment in person.
Greenlee: Gramps, you are never to mention the investment, not ever.
Woodruff: Oh. Are the walls bugged? Interesting office.
Greenlee: Gramps --
Woodruff: Incidentally, I bring greetings from your parents.
Greenlee: Were you in California?
Woodruff: No, no. I met them at the Silver Eagle Club at the airport in Philadelphia. They had a long layover on their way home from Europe.
Greenlee: Oh. I didn't know they were abroad.
Woodruff: Oh. Well, they -- they said they'd call you. Oh. They probably thought you were out on a date or something, you know. The only reason they phoned me, you know, was your mother needed my signature on some of her trust papers. Well, they gave me this. It's for you.
Greenlee: Cashier's check. Always in fashion. "To our precious daughter -- we miss you. Love, Mummy and Daddy."
Greenlee: Nice try, Gramps, but I'd recognize that chicken scratch anywhere.
Woodruff: Well, the check is from them.
Greenlee: How do my parents love me? Let me count the zeros. Wow! That much!
Woodruff: Your mother loves you, sweetheart. She just doesn't know any other way to show it.
Greenlee: There's a lot of that going around.
Woodruff: You'll always be my Chickadee. You can count on me.
Greenlee: I know.
Woodruff: Yeah. How about that fellow of yours? You can count on him, can't you?
Greenlee: Gramps.
Woodruff: Oh, sweetheart.

Joe: Yes, but you see, it's been several hours since I've had any news. Well, is there no way to get through to the commanding officer?

Tad: All I'm asking you to do is find out if we got any kind of contacts in the state department. Yeah.
Joe: The search is continuing?

Tad: Just -- yeah, find out and call me back.

Joe: No, no. No, listen --

Tad: As high as possible.
Joe: Thank you very much.
Tad: No. No, no, on my cell phone. Ok. Thanks. I'm going to see if Chandler Enterprises has any pull.

Dixie: Listen, do you want to go home? Has anybody told Eugenia or Edmund?
Gillian: No, no. I haven't had a chance. No
. Dixie: Well, all I can say is it's a good thing David and I stopped by for a bite to eat when we did.
Joe: David didn't mind you taking time off?
Dixie: No, no. He understood perfectly when I told him what the situation was. He -- he went back to the hospital to check on a patient.

Adrian: Hey.
Joe: Adrian. Thank you very much for going so much out of your way.
Adrian: Not a problem. Listen, I know how hard things can be sitting around waiting for news.
Tad: Just tell us what you know.
Adrian: Well, I don't have anything concrete yet, but I will soon. I also reached out to my ex-partner, Mike Roy.
Joe: Oh, yeah, yeah. Mike.
Tad: Right.
Adrian: Yeah. Mike's in Azerbaijan right now. He's going to head to the Chechen republic at daybreak. Knowing Mike, he'll turn up something, all right?
Joe: Yeah. Thank you so much. Means so very much to us.
Adrian: That's all right.
Tad: I owe you one.
Gillian: Thank you, Adrian. Thank you.
Adrian: Hey. That's what family's for, right?
Gillian: Yeah.

Dixie: Sweetheart. Come here. Oh, sweetie. It's going to be ok.
Dixie: Listen, are you going to be ok?
Gillian: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just going to go splash some water on my face.
Dixie: Ok. Do you want me to come with you?
Gillian: No, I'm ok. Thanks.
Dixie: All right. Excuse me for a sec, ok? Ok.

Dixie: Is the patient ok?
David: He wasn't there. And how are you? Any news about Jake?
Dixie: No. Everybody's crawling out of their skin, especially -- Gillian. It would help so much if we could just tell her that Dimitri is alive. Think of the hope that it would give Ruth and Joe.
David: Let it go, Dixie. It's not going to happen.

Ryan: Gillian?

Woodruff: Aw, who needs Ryan Lavery anyway?
Greenlee: I do. He's the most fabulous man I've ever met. Present company excluded.
Woodruff: Well, fabulous is as fabulous does. Now, you've done so much for that young man. What has he ever done for you except bring tears to those big, beautiful eyes of yours?
Greenlee: I haven't done nearly enough.
Woodruff: Nonsense. incredibledreams.com wouldn't even exist if it weren't for you. You know, I have a good mind to yank the whole thing out from under this ingrate.
Greenlee: No.
Woodruff: Especially if he's treating you badly.
Greenlee: No, Gramps, you can't. Ryan doesn't even know about this, and he'd hate me if he did. Please, you have to swear that you won't say anything to him.
Woodruff: All right, all right, sweetheart. Calm down. I won't make it worse for you. But I don't understand what you see in this guy.
Greenlee: Ryan's everything I've ever wanted. He's a man with integrity and pride, and he's -- he's smart and he's driven, and that's why this business is going to be a success. And he's -- he's caring and he's thoughtful and he's unpretentious. You know? He's -- he's classy without being a snob. Not to mention drop-dead gorgeous and sexy as hell. I can't help but love him, Gramps.
Woodruff: But does he love you? Hmm? You know, he should put you on a pedestal.
Greenlee: Well, that's just it. Ryan doesn't want a trophy. He wants a real woman. And believe me, he does not put up with my act.
Woodruff: I can't imagine what you're talking about.
Greenlee: Oh, yes, you can. Ryan's the first man who's ever told me that I was enough just as I am. I mean, I don't know who that is half the time, but because of him I might find out.

Stuart: Your dad loves you, Marilyn. He doesn't want you to be unhappy. He just -- he just wants to make sure you're safe.
Marilyn: By locking me in oblivion?
Stuart: But you know, I'll bet if -- if we asked him really nice and I promised him that I would take care of you, he'd let you come and visit me.
Marilyn: Dream on. He would be so afraid that once I got out of this dust bowl that I would stay there, and he'd be right.
Stuart: Maybe he's afraid he'll be lonely if you leave. People are afraid to be lonely.
Marilyn: Then maybe he should move, too.
Stuart: You know, maybe we could find a lady friend to keep him company. Maybe we could find him a whole new wife. That way he'd be happy and he'd let you live your own life.
Marilyn: Yeah - well, that's a great idea. There's only one problem with it. There isn't an eligible woman, attractive or breathing, within 50 miles of this place.
Stuart: Oh, well, you never know who's going to walk down that road. You can't tell.

Arlene: My God, it's him.

Arlene: What are you staring at? Hmm? Ah -- I hate these things. Look, what does a girl have to do to get a beer around here?
Marilyn: Hold your horses. I'll be with you in a second. Do you -- do you have a horse out there?
Arlene: Very funny. What are you, a comedian? Would you just get me the beer, ok?

[Stuart hears Arlene's voice and remembers being hit by her car]

[Tires screech]

[Crash]

Woodruff: All right, I know when to quit with you. Obviously, your mind's made up about Ryan Lavery.
Greenlee: Well, just wait till you get to know him, Grandpa. You're going to love him.
Woodruff: Yeah. Well, if he doesn't treat you right, I'll box his ears in.
Greenlee: Well, I have a friendlier brand of coercion in mind for Ryan.
Woodruff: Then you're not going to quit, huh?
Greenlee: No. I'll never quit on Ryan.

Ryan: I -- I understand that you obviously have to be with them right now.
Gillian: I was going to tell Joe about us when he told me that Jake was missing.
Ryan: Oh, I'm -- I'm glad you didn't. This is definitely not the right time.
Gillian: Oh, God. Jake has to be all right. He's such a good person.
Ryan: Yes, he is. Yes, he is.
Gillian: Ryan, what am I going to do?
Ryan: Whatever you think is right, Gillian. Whatever -- whatever you think is right. Just know that I will be here for as long as it takes.
Gillian: You will?
Ryan: Of course I will. Now, you should probably get in there with Jake's family. I think it would probably do you some good, too.

Dixie: This is just so unfair, you know? You're playing with these people's lives.
David: What's unfair is you making this about me when it's really about Dimitri's wishes.
Dixie: But his life affects everyone, you know? Decisions can't be made in a vacuum. It doesn't work that way.
David: Maybe Dimitri realizes this. Maybe that's precisely why he doesn't want to put his family through any more pain.
Dixie: But they love him. Gillian needs him, especially now.
David: Didn't you just tell me that Gillian was barely holding it together? That she may never see her husband again? And you're willing to heap more pain on her?
Dixie: I just think she would be overjoyed if she could see him.
David: But for how long, Dixie? Gillian already suffered the loss of Dimitri once. Do you really want her to feel that pain again, right when she might be ling her husband for good? Who's being unfair, Dixie?

Edmund: I knew I'd find you here.
Dimitri: Well, you always knew me well.
Edmund: Yeah. You know me well, too. Well enough to realize we can't go on like this. You got to tell the world the truth.
Dimitri: Not yet, Edmund.
Edmund: You can't keep this a secret, Dimitri. Alex deserves to know you're alive.
Dimitri: You can't do that to her.
Edmund: No, you can't do this to her! It's time she learned the truth.
Dimitri: That is not for you to decide.
Edmund: It's decided. Alex is on her way. We're going to settle this now.

ON THE NEXT - - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Young man: Recognize that little slice of heaven?
Second young man: Ms. Cyber Virgin.

Marilyn: If you brought him home, you would be a hero.

Erica: You've been neglecting me. Tell me why.

Alex: You said Charlotte kidnapped Dimitri. Tell me about that.
