ALL MY CHILDREN

July 27, 2001

Rosa: Hey!
[Rosa laughs]

Rosa: Marcus. Hey. I'm supposed to be working.
Marcus: Working?
Rosa: Sorry.
Marcus: You are way too beautiful to be washing dishes.
Rosa: What are you doing?
Marcus: So, did you like my flowers?
Rosa: Oh, my gosh. Are you kidding? They're gorgeous.
Marcus: You didn't say anything about the card.
Rosa: What card?

Heather: Hey, you want to grab a table?
Shannon: Whatever.
Heather: Ok. I'll see what's free.

Gabriel: You dropped this.
Shannon: Where did you get that?
Gabriel: So it is yours. Look, what did he do to you?

[Stuart hums]

[Knock on door]

Stuart: Adam, come in! Where's Liza?
Adam: She's working.
Stuart: Marian said that you guys were going out for a really romantic dinner tonight.
Adam: Yeah, well, something came up.
Stuart: Ah. Marian's not here. Have you eaten? I made myself a grilled tomato and cheese sandwich. It's really good. Can I make you one?
Adam: No, no. Actually, I came by for some advice.
Stuart: Oh. Sure.
Adam: What if someone you really loved needed your help, but in helping them there's a possibility of hurting someone else that you love?
Stuart: Is one of those people J.R.? Who would you be hurting, Adam?

[Ryan sighs]

Liza: This is our final destination?
Ryan: What, do you have something against physical fitness?
Liza: Well, shooting hoops sort of filled my quotient for the evening.
Ryan: Please. You made one lousy shot.
Liza: I won 200 bucks. What, are we -- "race you to the treadmill, double or nothing"?
Ryan: No. No. I plan on doing all my sweating in the steam room. Steam room -- what do you say? You up for it?
Liza: Part two of Ryan and Liza's excellent adventure?
Ryan: Just kick back, relax, sweat out all your nasty toxins. Who knows -- you might even get Adam out of your system.
Liza: Well, I haven't really done that for quite a while -- you know, I really have to call home, though, check on Colby.
Ryan: Ok.
Liza: Ok.

Ryan: Ahem. Hey, hey, hey, hey! Take it easy, buddy. You're going to hurt someone.
Mia: Someone like you, Buddy?

Gillian: Opal. Opal, wake up. Wake up. I'm sorry I scared you.

[Footsteps]

Gillian: Someone's coming.

Marian: Oh, my God. Opal! Oh, my God! What happened? Opal? Darling, can you hear me? Opal? Opal! Oh, thank God. Oh, thank God.
Opal: What?
Marian: Opal, it's me. It's me, Marian. Now, listen. I'm going to help you up very slowly, Darling. Get up very, very slowly. Come on.
Opal: Yeah.
Marian: Be very careful. Come on. I'm going to get you over on to the bench, ok?
Opal: Yeah.
Marian: Take it easy. Take it easy, Darling.
Opal: Yeah.
Marian: Oh, Darling, what in God's name happened to you? Did you faint or what?
Opal: Oh --
Marian: What happened?
Opal: Marian, you won't believe who I -- I just saw.
Marian: Who, Darling? Who did you just see?
Opal: There. She's right there, as big as life.
Marian: Opal, there's nobody there.
Opal: Can't you see her?
Marian: See who?
Opal: Well, she's -- she's there, just as plain as the nose on your face.
Marian: Opal, you are scaring me now. Who on earth are you talking about?
Opal: No one -- not on this earth, anyway.
Marian: What?
Opal: Don't mind me, Marian. I -- I must be seeing things.
Marian: Darling, I'm going to get you to a doctor because you are obviously hallucinating.
Opal: No, no, my mind is just in a dither, that's all. Have you heard about Tad?
Marian: Oh, yes, Darling, I did. I'm so sorry. He was arrested for killing that drug dealer.
Opal: He did not do it, Marian. He was framed. And then he broke out of the hoosegow to prove he was innocent, and now he's a fugitive.
Marian: Look, I know you must be worried sick --
Opal: Yeah!
Marian: But that doesn't explain, Darling, why you are seeing things.
Opal: Well, I may have overindulged in the vino department. You know how spirits can play tricks with your eyes.
Marian: Oh, please. I know only too well. I mean, I've seen a couple of pink elephants in my time.
Opal: Well, I know that drinking isn't the answer, of course, but I've just been so worried about Tad.
Marian: Well, Darling, I'm sure he'll be exonerated soon and be free to come home.
Opal: Yeah, from your lips to whoever is up there.
Marian: Well, speaking of home, I'm going to drive you home. Come on.
Opal: No, Honey. No, I'm fine.
Marian: You can't drive yourself home in this condition.
Opal: Well, I'm not going to drive. I'm going to sit right here and collect myself. And I don't want Petey seeing me all strung out like this. And when I'm feeling better, then I'll call myself a taxi.
Marian: All right. I'll stay here with you, then.
Opal: No, no. It's -- it all right, really.
Marian: Darling --
Opal: You got Stuart waiting for you at home.
Marian: I am not going to leave you here sitting in the park in the middle of the night.
Opal: Well, I've got my police whistle, my peppery spray -- everything a girl could need. Really, I -- I'll be fine. Now, just you run along home. Give Stuart my love for me, would you?
Marian: Ok, all right, I will, but --
Opal: All right.
Marian: Be careful getting yourself home, all right?
Opal: I will.
Marian: And call me when you get there?
Opal: Scouts' honor.
Marian: All right, Darling.
Opal: Thanks for looking after me.
Marian: Darling, I'm really worried about you.
Opal: I'm fine. I'm fine.
Marian: Bye-bye.
Opal: Bye-bye.

Opal: Gillian? Now where'd she go? Well, maybe I was just seeing things.

Gillian: You're not seeing things, Opal. I'm here. I'm real.

Ryan: So, what are you doing here?
Mia: What does it look like, Einstein?
Ryan: You throw punches like you threw that poker game.
Mia: Yeah, well, I'm good at everything I do. Know that about me.
Ryan: You're hitting that bag like you got a reason. Where'd you learn how to throw punches like that?
Mia: Here, there.
Ryan: Well, that certainly tells me a lot. Ahem.
Mia: Well, you know what? You ask a lot of questions.
Ryan: Yeah, and you dodge them like a pro.
Mia: You know, you ought to take my class, learn how to defend yourself.
Ryan: From?
Mia: Whatever keeps you up at night.
Ryan: So, wait a minute. You're a teacher?
Mia: Instructor. Here, actually. Karate, kickboxing, personal trainer.
Ryan: Poker's just your cool down?
Mia: Yeah. And speaking of which, there's a game coming up. You interested?
Ryan: Maybe. Liza doesn't want her office used as a casino.
Mia: Oh. You know, your boss needs to lighten up.
Ryan: No, Liza's not that bad. She just doesn't like being taken advantage of, that's all.
Mia: Well, you can tell her to relax because the game's floated over to the Valley Inn. So, are you in?
Ryan: That depends.
Mia: On?
Ryan: Whether you're still dealing from the bottom of the deck.

Liza: Colby cried herself to sleep? Oh. If she wakes up again, please tell her that Mommy and Daddy will be home really soon and we love her. And everything will be all right.

[Liza sighs]

Stuart: What have you done, Adam? Or what are you going to do?
Adam: I think in the business world, it's called damage control.
Stuart: What does the rest of the world call it?
Adam: Protecting my family.
Stuart: Even though one of the family may get hurt.
Adam: She'll never find out about it. I'll make sure of that.
Stuart: Well, then, it is Liza.
Adam: Damn it, Stuart, I came here for help.
Stuart: No, no, you didn't. You came here for my permission. You're heading for trouble. I know that look.
Adam: What look?
Stuart: That look -- that look right there on that face. You're going to do something really creepy that you can't take back and that you're going to regret.
Adam: Stuart, someone is threatening to ruin J.R.'S life because he made one bad judgment call. Does J.R. deserve to have his whole future snatched away from him because he made one stupid mistake?
Stuart: No. No, but he has to answer for what he's done. Otherwise he's going to grow up thinking he can get away with stuff.
Adam: What if I could make the whole nightmare just go away, put it all behind us?
Stuart: What is J.R. going to learn if you cover it all up? What are you going to learn? Didn't last summer teach you anything?
Adam: Yes, it taught me one thing -- that my family comes first. And I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.
Stuart: Well, then, you've already made up your mind. You don't need me.
Adam: Oh, yes, I do need you, Stuart. More than you know.

Shannon: What's your problem?
Gabriel: What's yours? Marcus?
Shannon: Marcus didn't do anything to me.
Gabriel: Your scarf is bloody and your lip is swollen. It looks like he hit you.
Shannon: No one hit me. I walked into a door. So don't believe me.
Gabriel: Look, don't cover for him. He's not worth it.
Shannon: You're so clueless.
Gabriel: Marcus hurt you. Don't you care? Don't you care if he hurts someone else?

Marcus: I put a card in with the flowers.
Rosa: Well, I didn't see a card.
Marcus: Well, it had to be there.
Rosa: Look, doesn't matter. It's ok. Maybe it fell. You can tell me what it said.
Marcus: No way.
Rosa: Oh, why not?
Marcus: Look, it was hard enough writing it down.
Rosa: Come on, tell me.
Marcus: Well, maybe -- maybe I'll show you.
Rosa: I better stop. I'm going to get in trouble if my brother catches us.
Marcus: Ok. Rosa, I will wait for your break because I need to ask you something, ok?
Rosa: Yeah, ok. Deal.

Marcus: Outside, now.
Gabriel: Oh, this better be good.
Marcus: What do you know about this, dog boy? I found it in the trash. You put it there, didn't you? Didn't you? Oh. I can do rough -- as rough as you want to be.
Gabriel: Man, do you think I'm scared of you?
Marcus: You better be, dog boy. You think Rosa wants you? She is totally, totally steaming hot for me. Why would she want you?
Gabriel: Man, I don't know. But I swear, if you lay one hand on her, I'll take you out!
Marcus: What the hell's -- what are you talking about? Why would I touch Rosa, huh?
Gabriel: I don't know. Maybe it gets you off or something.
Marcus: Look, just stay out of my face, pound puppy, or I'll sic the dog catcher on you and they'll toss your sorry butt into a cage.
Gabriel: Oh, just try it.

Opal: Are you a ghost?
Gillian: No, I'm not a ghost.
Opal: Well, then, what are you?
Gillian: I'm in transit.
Opal: I'm not sure understand.
Gillian: It was a mistake, Opal. It's kind of like I got on the wrong train and I got lost and now I just have to find my way back home again.
Opal: Well -- well, what's it like?
Gillian: What?
Opal: Where you are, where you're coming from. Have you met the man upstairs?
Gillian: No.
Opal: What about my Jenny? Have you seen her?
Gillian: No, I haven't. But I've met another member of your family.
Opal: Who?
Gillian: Ray, I think his name was.
Opal: Ray Gardner? That scum-sucking polecat is up there with you? Well, you better steer clear of him, honey, if you want to earn your wings.
Gillian: No! I don't want to earn my wings, Opal. That's why I'm here. That's why you kissed Ryan.
Opal: That -- that was you?
Gillian: That was me! See, I've been trying to make contact with Ryan, and you seem to be, like, the most sympathetic person.
Opal: Well, that poor man thought I'd gone on the attack.
Gillian: Well, you got his attention, and that's a start.
Opal: Start of what?
Gillian: My reunion with Ryan.
Opal: What in the name of heaven are you talking about?
Gillian: I have to save Ryan. But, Opal, I can't really explain to you now. All I can say is that Ryan is in terrible trouble.
Opal: What kind of trouble?
Gillian: He's drinking. He's gambling. And there's this woman, and you have to warn him about this woman. Tell him to stay away from her. Tell him I'm coming back to him.

Ryan: Whoa, whoa. Whoa -- whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
Mia: What are you doing?
Ryan: Well, you didn't answer my question.
Mia: That wasn't a question. I'm palming cards, and you're on to me. How can I palm cards?
Ryan: That's a good point. Rat you out in a heartbeat, wouldn't I?
Mia: Oh, and get me on somebody's hit list -- what a prince.
Ryan: Well, listen, you cheat, you take your chances.
Mia: All right, well, what if I promise to keep my cards -- all of my cards on the table? Will you come out and play?
Ryan: What have I got to lose?
Ryan: Wait a second. Before you get to your venting, I want to ask you something. I want to ask you something. Why is Marian Chandler paying me so much money to try and get you out of town?
Mia: Like I said before, that's our little secret -- for now.

Liza: Harriet, I'm just -- I'm so sorry that we kept you there so late. We'll be home as soon as we can. Thank you for understanding.

Liza: George, it's Liza. Listen, I don't care wherever you are. I just want you to turn the car around and bring Adam home. I don't care if he's sulking. You tell him we have a child to raise. Excuse me? Wait -- wait a minute. If Adam dismissed you for the evening, then where is he?

Adam: Oh.

[Door opens]

Kaye: Adam -- just like old times.
Kaye: Don't worry. I won't bite -- much.
Adam: Huh. Promise?
Kaye: Well, come on in and find out.
Adam: Well, there's -- there's just one thing I need from you first.
Kaye: Oh. Want me to guess?
Adam: I need reassurance that you will live up to your end of our deal.
Kaye: What, that David Hayward will walk out of my courtroom a free man?
Adam: Yes.
Kaye: Well, you know, some things have to be taken on faith. Now, come on in. The honorable Judge Kaye Campobello is presiding. Come on.
Adam: Yeah.

[Kaye chuckles]

Kaye: Here.

Gillian: Well, I've been watching Ryan, and he has -- he has no life without me. He's just completely and utterly miserable.
Opal: Well, Honey, of course he would be miserable without you. I mean, he loved you like there was no tomorrow. I know how it is. I mean, when I lost jenny, I -- well, I don't know if I'll ever recover from it.
Gillian: Opal, we were separated too soon. We had just gotten married. We were going to go on our honeymoon. And it all happened because I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Opal: It sure seems that way.
Gillian: Do you believe in true love? Do you believe in soul mates, that one person and only one person can hold on to your heart forever? Because that's what I had with Ryan. And that's what I have to get back to.
Opal: Or maybe it's what you take into the eternity.
Gillian: No. No. That was a mistake, and I have the chance to fix it with your help.
Opal: With my help? How can I help?
Gillian: I -- I've -- I've been trying to get through to Ryan, but he can't hear me. But he can hear you, Opal. So this is what I need you to do. Tell Ryan that I'm still here. Tell him that I love him and that I'll move heaven and earth to be with him. Will you do that for me, Opal? Please?
Opal: Well, I'll try. In the name of true love, yeah, I'll try.

Ryan: So you had a pretty good workout?
Mia: What's the point otherwise?
Ryan: Yeah. When's this poker game happening?
Mia: I'll let you know. I know where to find you.

Liza: So you just dropped him off at The Sleepy Hollow Inn? And Adam gave you the entire rest of the evening off and you have no idea why he's there? Ok, George, I understand.
What is Adam up to now?

Marcus: Hey.
Heather: Hi, Marcus. Where have you been? We haven't seen you lately.
Marcus: Yeah, well, I've been busy. Listen, Heather, can you give us some space? I need to talk to Shannon.
Heather: Shannon, I'll stay if you want.
Shannon: No, it's cool. Go.
Heather: Ok.

Shannon: What's your problem, Marcus?
Marcus: Did you say anything to dog man, you know, about us?
Shannon: "Dog man"?
Marcus: Yeah.
Shannon: Oh, him.
Marcus: Did you tell him?
Shannon: No. Come on.
Marcus: Well, he acts like he knows something.
Shannon: He doesn't know anything. He's totally clueless. He -- he found my scarf, and there was some blood on it, and I told him I walked into a door. Marcus, I swear I wouldn't rat on you.
Marcus: Well, good girl. We may have some hope after all.
Shannon: What about tomorrow?
Marcus: No, tomorrow's no good, but I'll call you.
Shannon: When?
Marcus: Soon, soon.

Marcus Rosa?
Rosa: Hey.
Marcus: Hey. Can you take a break?
Rosa: Yeah. First I have to fire up the cappuccino machine, ok?
Marcus: Oh, well, let me.
Rosa: No, you can't. I'm sorry. My brother doesn't let anybody touch it.
Marcus: What's the deal? It's only a coffeemaker.
Rosa: Yeah, I know, but it's imported from Italy and it costs, like, a gazillion dollars. I think Mateo would personally kill anybody who touched his new toy. Sorry.
Marcus: Well, then, I'll keep my hands off. Thank you for the warning. I mean, he's already got a problem with me.
Rosa: No. Not really. Just he's doing the big brother thing. You know, he's looking out for me.
Marcus: Yeah?
Rosa: Yeah.
Marcus: Well, from now on, that's going to be my job. What are you doing tomorrow?
Rosa: Working.
Marcus: Blow it off. We'll hit the beach. We'll spend the whole day there. It'll be our special place.

Shannon: Used to be our special place.

Marian: Hello, my Darling. Did you miss me?
Stuart: Uh-huh.
Marian: What have you been up to while I was out, huh?
Stuart: Adam came by.
Marian: Oh, really? With Liza?
Stuart: No.
Marian: Well, what happened to their romantic dinner they were going to have?
Stuart: I don't know. It got canceled or something. But Liza's working and Adam's in some kind of jam.
Marian: Oh, please. Adam is always in some kind of jam. Let's forget about him.
Stuart: I can't. He's my brother.
Marian: Stuart, every time Adam asks you for help, you're the one who ends up getting hurt. Last summer, due to Adam's carelessness, we all thought we'd lost you forever. Remember?
Stuart: Yeah. Do you think -- do you think I've changed since we got married?
Marian: Have you changed? No, my Darling, not at all. You're still as sweet and as kind and as gentle as you were the day we married.
Stuart: But I don't think Adam has changed since he married Liza. He still uses love as an excuse to do whatever he wants.
Marian: This jam that he's in -- did he give you any specifics?
Stuart: No -- no, not really. Just -- just that it involves J.R. and Liza. And somehow he thinks if he hurts -- if helps the one, he's going to hurt the other one.
Marian: Well, if he hurts Liza, he's going to have to answer to me.
Stuart: You and Adam are so much alike.
Marian: Oh, Stuart Chandler, bite your tongue!
Stuart: No, no. I mean it in a good way.
Marian: What?
Stuart: You both -- you both put your children first. You would do anything to keep Liza from being hurt.
Marian: You know, our children grow up and leave home and have lives of their own, but they never stop being our children, Stuart.
Stuart: Here. Is there something that you'd like to tell me about? I mean, you seem -- maybe something about -- I don't know -- Mia?
Marian: No, Darling. Why would you ask that?
Stuart: It's just you seem a little on edge lately and -- and especially when the phone rings.
Marian: Oh, that's just, I think, the summer heat, you know? My nerves are very frazzled. And also I've been very upset because I just found Opal in the park and she was acting very strangely. She was going to call. Has she called?
Stuart: No, no. Phone hasn't made a peep.
Marian: Oh, ok. I'll try to stop worrying. You know what? A long, cool bath would help to calm my frazzled nerves. Would you be a love and run the water for me?
Stuart: Yes, I will. And I'll even put in some of those bath crystals you like so much.
Marian: You're an angel, Stuart.

[Stuart trips]

Marian: Oh, Honey, what's wrong?
Stuart: It's ok. It's my -- it's my tackle box. I'm getting it ready for -- for my fishing trip with Adam.
Marian: I wish you wouldn't go.
Stuart: Why? It's only for a week.
Marian: But ever since we were apart last summer, I just never want to leave you out of my sight again ever.
Stuart: Just long enough to run your bath, my Queen of Hearts.
Marian: Thank you, kind Sir.

[Marian and Stuart laugh]

[Doorbell rings]

Marian: It's probably Liza, Darling!

Mia: Hi. What's the buzz, Marian?
Marian: What are you doing here? You were supposed to leave town.
Mia: I changed my mind.
Marian: We had an agreement, Mia. I paid you $5,000 on top of everything else I've given you.
Mia: I've never been very good at managing my money.
Marian: You have already spent $5,000?
Mia: I lost it on the wrong hand.
Marian: Well, if you think I'm some kind of automatic cash you have another think coming.
Mia: Relax. Just calm down. I'm pulling in a check over at the health club. Oh, and I put down a deposit on this really cute little studio apartment that's not too far from here, actually.
Marian: You mean you're reneging on our agreement?
Mia: No, I'm not reneging. I'm reassessing. You know, I'd hate to leave town without really getting to know you, Marian.
Marian: All right, Mia. What is it that you really want, huh?
Mia: Oh, I don't know -- a house in Paris, a new car, bottomless bank account. Is that what you're expecting me to say, Marian? Well, you know, money isn't everything. Money doesn't even begin to cover the debt.
Marian: Well, then, why are you here?
Mia: I found this. Do you recognize it?
Marian: That's Liza's earring.
Mia: Yeah. She dropped it at the health club.
Marian: I am warning you for the first and last time, you stay away from my daughter.

Liza: Hello?
Ryan: Hey. Ready for your steam?
Liza: No. Actually, I have other plans. I have to go home.
Ryan: Oh. Is Adam going to be there?
Liza: Of course. Why wouldn't he be?
Ryan: Well, I don't know, Liza. It's not my turn to watch him.
Liza: I'll see you first thing the morning.
Ryan: Ok, sure. It's not like I have any better place to be.

Opal: Ryan?
Ryan: Opal. How did -- how did you know I was going to be here?
Opal: Somebody whispered in my ear. Could you stop beating that thing?
Ryan: Why?
Opal: Because, Ryan, your prayers have been answered.

Marcus: So we're on for tomorrow?
Rosa: Marcus, I told you I can't.
Marcus: Well, call in sick.
Rosa: I can't. I promised Mateo I'd pay him back the money he lent me.

[Marcus sighs]

Marcus: Rosa, he's your brother. He will cut you some slack.
Rosa: No, I promised him.
Marcus: Rosa, how much money do you owe Mateo?
Rosa: Look, I don't feel comfortable talking about money, ok?
Marcus: Come on, come on. Just tell me how much. Come on.
Rosa: $200.
Marcus: Well, here. Your debt's canceled.
Rosa: Marcus, I can't take money from you.
Marcus: Why not? Rosa: Because it's not right. I can't. You're sweet.
Marcus: Rosa, you know what's not right?
Marcus: This is our first summer together, you know, and I want it to be one you'll never forget. We'll hit the beach, walk along the shore. What do you say?

[Heather turns the cappuccino machine up to high when no one is watching]

Heather: So, what did Marcus want?
Shannon: Oh, nothing earth-shattering. Come on. Let's get out of here.

Marcus: Ooh. Heads up. Big brother's watching. I'll call you tomorrow, ok?

[Cappuccino machine rumbles- steam explodes]

Mateo: You all right?
Rosa: Mateo.
Mateo: You sure you're ok? Everybody ok? You guys all right? I am so sorry. Guys, I'm sorry. It was just the coffee machine. We're going to -- guy, hand out napkins to everybody else over there, all right? Drinks are on the house, all right? The rest of the night -- it's on me. Sorry.

Rosa: What the hell happened?
Rosa: I -- Mateo, I don't know. I set it right. I made sure that I did.
Mateo: You set it right? Look at the gauge. Look at the gauge.
Rosa: I know that I set it right!
Mateo: It was set way too high.
Rosa: I made sure!
Mateo: You didn't set it right. Oh, you made sure while you were talking to Marcus?
Rosa: Yeah, but, Teo --
Mateo: Yeah, but what? But you spent -- you're wasting too much time talking to him when you should be doing your job. If somebody got hurt, they could sue me. I could lose this place. What's wrong? You got to think.

Heather: You ok?
Shannon: Mm-hmm. I've had my share of excitement for one night. Come on.

Mateo: Listen -- listen. I've -- I have -- I've got to be able to trust you, all right? You -- you know, I can't trust -- this isn't -- this isn't working out.
Rosa: No, Mateo --

Gabriel: Look, don't blame her.
Mateo: Stay out of this. Stay out of this.
Gabriel: I can't. Look, it's not Rosa's fault the coffee machine blew up. It's mine.

Ryan: What, are you going to kiss me again?
Opal: No. No. And that wasn't me anyway.
Ryan: Have you been drinking?
Opal: No, no. Now, Ryan, I believe that we're all part of a grand design but that we're not always able to unravel that master plan. And --
Ryan: Opal?
Opal: Yeah?
Ryan: What are you talking about?
Opal: Well, I think that -- ahem -- some things can't always be explained. But I saw someone in the park tonight.
Ryan: You know what? I really don't have time for guessing games, so why don't you just tell me who you saw.
Opal: I saw your wife, Gillian, and she spoke to me.

Mia: Marian, I've upset you.
Marian: Don't you dare bring Liza into this.
Mia: Well, you know what? It's too late. So why don't you just cut to the chase and let me meet her face-to-face?
Marian: You are forbidden to ever make contact with my daughter ever. Is that clear? As far as Liza's concerned, you don't exist.
Mia: Oh, but I do exist. I am very, very real. And that makes me dangerous.

Kaye: Ooh. Does this remind you of anything, Adam?
Adam: Should it?
Kaye: Oh, don't you remember the Royal Palm Hotel in Manhattan? It was the year Jimmy Carter was elected. We celebrated our little affair by ordering a six-pack of Billy Beer.

[Adam laughs]

Adam: Yeah. Oh, yes, I remember that. I remember it well.
Kaye: You're as ardent as I remember. Well, now you can return the compliment.
Adam: Kaye?
Kaye: Hmm?
Adam: To know you is to know you.
Kaye: Ready for round two?

ON THE NEXT - - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Greenlee: If there is no chance of us ever being together again, I need to know that right now.

Opal: What would you ask Gillian? What one thing was left unasked?

Liza: Do you mind telling me what you're doing in my husband's room?
