ALL MY CHILDREN

JULY 26, 1999

Max: Daddy!
Mateo: Hey. How you doing, partner? Wow. Why are you all dressed up?
Max: My birthday party. You didn't forget?
Mateo: You kidding me? You think your old man would forget your birthday party? No way. All right, I'm going to go change my clothes. I'll be right back, ok?

Ryan: Ok. All right. Is there a back way out of here?
Hayley: What do you mean? You want to sneak out like we did something wrong?
Ryan: If he comes in here and sees us together, Mateo's going to lose it.

Opal: Oh, so I had this dream last night that I was doing Palmer's nails and he wanted his hands to be smooth. He asked me how to get his hands smooth, and I said, "Battery acid. You're soaking in it." So I haven't heard much about the big night.
Belinda: "The big night"?
Opal: Oh, come on, Belinda Keefer. Don't be coy with me. You know I mean your birthday. I don't see you wearing Adrian's present.
Belinda: Oh, but I am.
Opal: A -- a key?
Belinda: You look like did when he gave it to me.
Opal: Oh, but when he asked me for the name of the jeweler -- the best jewelry store, I thought -- oh, never mind what I thought.
Belinda: Well, no --
Opal: Just switch hands.
Belinda: You probably thought that he was going to give me an engagement ring, and I confess I was, too. Yeah, and I saw that little velvet jewelry box lying there, and I thought, "Don't pass go. Don't pass dinner. Go straight to honeymoon."
Opal: Oh, honey.
Belinda: No, it's ok. Look, your son is still finding himself.
Opal: Oh, yeah. Well, a wife gives pretty good directions.
Belinda: Well, now, hold on. I'm not so sure I'm ready to settle down. I still work crazy hours.
Opal: Yeah, well, so? What's wrong with coming home after a long day knowing that the guy that you love like nobody's business is waiting there to kiss all your cares away? You got the key to Adrian's heart. Now you just got to learn how to use it.

Becca: That baby is so cute, I could just eat her up.
Liza: Isn't it amazing to think that babies and toes came from the same manufacturer?
Becca: Awww.
Liza: Look at those toes.
Becca: Colby has perfect little angel toes.
Liza: You know, Adam says the same thing. And he counts them every night. It's his bedtime ritual. We have toe counting and belly kisses and we thank God for her love in our life every single day. We just can't imagine the world without her in it.

Doctor: What have we got?
Paramedic: Positive loss of consciousness, B/P. 80 Palp, pulse thready, labored breathing.
Doctor: Get him into two. You can't go in there.
Edmund: No, no, that's my brother. I want to be with him.
Doctor: You'll have to wait till we get him stabilized.
Edmund: How can this be happening?
Brooke: When you spoke with Dimitri, did he say anything about not feeling well or --
Edmund: No, he was fine. He was on top of the world. He was great. He was ready to party.
Erica: Edmund, Dimitri is in really good hands.
Edmund: Yeah, I want him to be in Pine Valley hospital.
Brooke: This was closer, Edmund.
Erica: And Sea View has a wonderful reputation.
Edmund: I don't know what the hell's going on in there!
Jack: Edmund, Edmund, let me go find somebody in charge.
Edmund: Ok.
Jack: I'll get us some answers.
Edmund: Thanks.
Gillian: It's just I can't think of Dimitri as being sick. He -- he was always so invincible. I -- I used to look up at him when I was a little girl. I still do.
Erica: Edmund, Gillian is right. Think how strong Dimitri is. Whatever this is, this isn't going to take him away from us.
Edmund: Hey, hey. You're talking like he's dying.
Erica: No, don't even say that. Don't even think that. I mean, Dimitri needs all our most positive thoughts. Look, he needs you now and he's going to need you when he gets all his strength back. I know you're going to be really strong for your brother.

Belinda: Dixie.
Opal: Hey, there!
Belinda: Marriage must agree with you. You look fabulous!
Becca: Oh, she does have a special glow.
Opal: She does. Becca, honey, could you get me another bottle of top coat in the storeroom?
Becca: Sure. I'll be right back.
Opal: All right.
Dixie: Hi. Oh, I just le how good babies smell.
Opal: Babies and fresh-baked bread.
Belinda: Oh, yeah. Beats new car smell, hands down.
Dixie: Well, I want one just like you. As a matter of fact, I have put in my order.
Opal: Dixie Cooney. Now, before I start blubbering or acting like a jackass, are you telling me that you're pregnant?
Dixie: I am, as my Mama would say, in the family way.
Opal: Oh! Oh, oh, oh! Oh! Honey!
Dixie: Well, I knew you'd be thrilled.
Opal: Thrilled? Are you kidding? You and Tad, expecting the world's most special delivery? I am just so high, cloud nine looks like a little cotton ball.
Belinda: When are you due?
Dixie: Somewhere around Valentine's Day.
Opal: Valentine's Day. You're going to have a little valentine cherub! Oh!
Belinda: From the way you were looking at Colby, you're hoping for a girl, maybe?
Dixie: Oh, I would just love to have a girl. That would be a dream come true. I know Liza highly recommends them, right?
Liza: Yes, absolutely, if the timing is right for you.
Opal: Timing? I mean, there's never any bad time to have a baby.
Liza: No, no, no. I'm just saying that if the doctors say it's ok and they say that you can carry the baby to term, then it's great for you.
Opal: Well, why wouldn't it be ok? I mean, Dixie had Junior without any muss or fuss. Why would this time be any different?
Liza: I don't know. You should probably just ask Dixie that.
Opal: No, I'm asking you, Liza Colby. If you think you know some reason why Dixie shouldn't be pregnant, then I want to know. Spit it out.
Belinda: Excuse me. I'm just going to get a glass of iced tea.
Opal: I'm waiting. I'm waiting, Liza. Why do you think that Dixie should not be having this baby?
Liza: I didn't say that. It's just that when you gave your kidney to your brother, the doctors warned that a high-risk pregnancy would be bad for you and the baby, right?
Dixie: How -- how do you know what the doctors said? I mean, you weren't in town when Del had the kidney transplant. I mean, the only people who knew about that were me -- Tad's talking to you, isn't he you and my husband are talking behind my back.

Max: Stay for my party, Daddy.
Mateo: Listen, pal, you've got all your buddies coming. You don't need me right now, do you?
Max: You have to come, Daddy. This is my first birthday with you.
Mateo: Well, since you put it like that, come on. Saddle up. Here we go. Oh. Hey!
Raquel: All right!
Mateo: How are you? Come on in.
Raquel: Come in. Hi.
Mateo: Hey, I'm Matt.
Raquel: You can put the present right over there, sweetheart. Thank you so much.

Hayley: Ok, we got a temporary stay.
Ryan: All right. Well, how long does a kid's birthday party last?
Hayley: I don't know. I'm not sure. As long as they did when you were a kid.
Ryan: So we're trapped.
Hayley: Trapped. You make it sound like this B-flick -- or my life.
Ryan: Well, I don't know. I could climb out the bathroom window and make a break for my car.
Hayley: Gee, Ryan, why don't we just shoot our way out? Or here's a thought -- why don't we just walk out the front door, like, anytime we want, just the way two people who are friends would do?
Ryan: Ok. After you, friend.

Raquel: Hi. Hi, I'm Raquel Santos. I'm so glad you could come.
Woman: Thank you. We are, too.
Raquel: Oh, great. Well, please, make yourself at home.
Woman: Great.
Raquel: Would you like some lemonade? Yeah? It's right over there. Help yourself. Hi, girls.
Max: Hey, you guys -- look what I got for my birthday.
Mateo: Whoa.
Boy: Wow!
Mateo: Nice. Who gave you this? Your mommy?
Max: Uh-uh.
Raquel: So, sweetheart, what do you want to play first? Simon Says?
Mateo: These are nice wheels. Who's it from?
Raquel: Why don't you all go put on your party hats. They're right over there on the table.
Mateo: Always wanted one of these when I was a kid. You know my parents. "Too expensive." Who gave you this? Uncle Edmund? No? Abuela?
Raquel: Why don't you go put on your party hat with the other kids?
Max: Ok, Mommy.
Raquel: Your daddy and I will be right there.
Mateo: Raquel, what's the big mystery? Who's the present from?
Raquel: Well, my parents also knew that Max's birthday was coming up.
Mateo: How'd they know that?
Raquel: I've been talking to them on the phone every Sunday.
Mateo: Since when?
Raquel: Few months.
Mateo: How'd that get started?
Raquel: Well, Max found a picture of my mama and papa in a box of old stuff, and you know how kids are. He started asking questions. "Why don't we see Grandma and Grandpa? Don't they love us?"
Mateo: Did you tell him what Grandma and Grandpa did to you and how they wanted him put up for adoption?
Raquel: No, that's all in the past. Ever since I built up the nerve to call them, my dad cried. And they want to make up for all the time they lost getting to know their grandson.
Mateo: They want to buy his affection with expensive gifts. That's what they're trying to do.
Raquel: No, it's not like that. Max already loves them, Teo. And I need them.
Mateo: Do what you want. Just don't let them hurt you again, ok? If someone ever treated me like that, it's over. I'd never go back.
Max: Daddy, Daddy
Mateo: Hey, partner. How you doing?
Max: There's a man inside your house.
Mateo: Here.

Liza: There is a new bottle in the diaper bag, if you don't mind.
Becca: Oh, not at all.
Liza: Ok. Thank you. Yes, Tad told me that you're pregnant.
Dixie: How long have you known?
Liza: A few days. Maybe a week.
Dixie: So he told you before we went to see Dr. Hayward?
Opal: Hayward? But Clader's a baby doctor.
Dixie: Yeah, we called in Hayward just to consult, you know.
Opal: Consult about wh-- oh, your heart.
Dixie: No, my heart is fine.
Opal: But Liza said there might be something wrong.
Dixie: No, there's nothing wrong with my heart. My heart is fine. I'm fine. The baby's fine. We're all fine. We're going to stay fine.
Liza: Dixie, I'm sorry. Tad didn't offer up the information about you being pregnant. He was on-line pulling up documents about high-risk pregnancy, and I walked into his office.
Opal: Heart doctors, high-risk pregnancy? You are scaring the bug juice out of me.
Dixie: This is exactly what I didn't want to happen.
Liza: I -- I --
Dixie: You understand? Look, Opal, you know that I have one kidney and a weak heart, a history of heart disease, right? So the doctors were worried that perhaps because of that, you know, my body wouldn't be able to carry the pregnancy to term. But then I went and I had all of these appointments with these doctors, and Dr. Hayward said -- he examined me, and he said that I'm going to be perfectly fine, that I can carry the baby to term as long as I take very good care of myself and that I watch my health at home and I have regular checkups at the office.
Opal: Oh. That is just music to my ears. You and Tad must be so relieved.
Dixie: It seems, though, that even though the doctors think that it's ok, Tad doesn't want me to have the baby.
Opal: Oh, I don't believe that for a second.
Dixie: No, it's true.
Liza: Pardon me for interrupting, but why is that so hard to believe? He's afraid of losing you, Dixie.
Dixie: He's not going to lose me!
Opal: Honey -- honey, now, don't worry about Tad. Once you start to show and he sees the glow in your face, I'm telling you, he's going to come around.
Dixie I don't know, Opal. He's awfully mad at me.
Opal: He's not mad, honey. He's scared. He's scared of waking up in some strange place, calling your name, and hearing nothing but the wind whistling through those pine trees. Tad doesn't know how to trust in life like you do, you know? He never learned. He's going to need time.
Dixie: How much time?
Opal: Well, a lifetime. A lifetime of kids and birthdays and hooting and hollering and carrying on. He'll come to the party -- he will -- when you're about 90. Then he'll let you go to the store all by yourself when he can be sure that you'll come back. That's all.
Dixie: Well, what about the baby?
Opal: Well, once he can believe that you are going to be all right and he stops to catch his breath, then he'll get a little picture of that baby in his mind's eye and he'll fall in love with that child, and then he'll fall in love with you all over again. And with so much so right, he ain't going to have time to fret about what could go wrong. It's going to be ok, honey. I promise you. But you got to excuse me because I got a 3:00 Appointment I just got to check on, all right?
Dixie: Ok.
Opal: All right. I'll see you in a minute.
Tad! Well, Hon. What brings you by?
Tad: I need to talk to my Mama.

Gillian: Dimitri has always been my biggest hero. I remember the first time I saw him in his dress uniform. I almost swooned, as Grandmama would say.
Edmund: Did you call Eugenia?
Gillian: No, I'll wait until we know something definite.
Erica: Bianca adores Dimitri, too. He always takes her riding at Wildwind.
Gillian: Yeah. He took me riding, too. I was 3 years old. And I would get on his back, and he would get down on his hands and knees and he'd go upstairs and down. And I would feed him peppermints, and he would eat it right out of my hand.
Brooke: I tell you, I couldn't have made it through that trial last year if it hadn't been for Dimitri.
Erica: Dimitri will always be in my heart. I mean, Dimitri's just like that, isn't he? He makes everyone feel very close to him. He just really has a talent for that.
Edmund: I would've drowned in that aqueduct, you know, if it wasn't for my brother being so stubborn.
Erica: But the Marick brothers are survivors. You both are, Edmund, and you both are going to survive this.
Jack: Edmund, this is Dr. Silbert. He's chief of staff here at Sea View. This is Edmund Grey. He's Dimitri's brother.
Edmund: They're working on my brother, and nobody's telling me what's going on.
Dr. Silbert: Sea View is a state-of-the-art, private facility --
Edmund: I just want to know what is wrong with my brother and what are you doing to fix it.
Dr. Silbert: We don't have a definitive diagnosis. Pending test results, it appears that your brother's had a seizure.
Erica: A seizure? What kind of a seizure?
Dr. Silbert: Possibly a stroke.
Jack: Oh --
Erica: All right. People can recover from that.
Edmund: Ah, my brother -- how is he? Is he conscious? Doctor: I'm afraid not.
Edmund: Ok. But is he going to be ok? Can I see him?
Doctor: I'm sorry, Mr. Grey. We did everything we could, but we were too late. We couldn't save your brother.
Edmund: Dead? You're telling me my -- my brother's dead? That's not possible. That's --
Doctor: I'm sorry, Mr. Grey. This is the hardest part of my job.
Edmund: No, your job is to save lives. Ok, so you get back in there, and you just get your code blue and you get your best team and you just bring me my brother back.
Jack: There's nothing more they can do.
Doctor: Medicine, with all its advances, has its limits. Your brother was too far gone. Even if we'd been on the scene when he collapsed, I doubt --
Edmund: I want to see him. I want to see my brother for myself. I want to see my brother!
Doctor: Let's go.

Opal: My, my, my. What's got into you?
Tad: I need to ask you a question.
Opal: Well, shoot.
Tad: Do I remind you of Ray Gardner?
Opal: What in the world put that idea in your head?
Tad: It's a long story, Mama. Just answer the question.
Opal: You are about as much like Ray Gardner as I am the Queen of Sheba.
Tad: It's not a joke. I'm serious.
Opal: I can see that.
Tad: I had a fight with Dixie. She accused me of being stubborn, insisting that I have my own way.
Opal: You mean about the baby that you and Dixie are going to have?
Tad: Well, I can see she didn't waste any time spreading the good word.
Opal: Well, good news is hard to keep to yourself, honey. And this is good news. It's the best.
Tad: Well, you're going to have to forgive me if I don't walk around handing out cigars.
Opal: This talk about Ray Gardner -- I mean, you're not afraid of being a bad father, are you? I mean, because you -- you're nothing in the world like ray. I mean, he gave away his own child. I mean, he just threw him away like a piece of trash. You would never do that to a child of yours, not even an unborn child. You would never ask Dixie to choose one life over another because all life is precious.
Tad: I'm not so sure, Mama.
Opal: Honey, you're not afraid of Ray Gardner. You are afraid that life is Ray Gardner, skulking around every corner, waiting to smack you down, leave you without a family.
Tad: It's happened before.
Opal: I know. But that was a long time ago, honey. Life is different now. You got to look at your blessings, trust that things will be ok for you and Dixie.
Tad: And the baby?
Opal: Well, the baby's a promise made to the future. You're just facing the wrong way, Tad. Turn around. Try to see what Dixie sees.

Liza: Oh, come here.

[Colby cries]

Liza: Come here, my baby. Yes, I know. Shh, shh, shh, shh.
Dixie: So, Liza --
Liza: Yeah?
Dixie: What would you do in my situation?
Liza: Facing your choices?
Dixie: Well, I say that Tad reneged on our deal, I mean, and he thinks that, you know, I wanted the baby from the moment I found out that I was pregnant, and it's true, you know? I mean, that is true. I could never surrender this life that's growing inside of me.
Liza: Well, I completely understand what you're talking about. I really do. I mean, it's like the minute you become a parent, right -- the minute you do, you -- somehow you take your heart in your hand and you hold it out to the world and you say, "ok, this can be broken now." I mean, that's how I felt when I lost my first child.
Dixie: I know. I just want so badly for her to know that -- that she was wanted from the minute that she was conceived. I just -- I want her to know that she was meant to be a part of the family. There was never a doubt about that. I mean, she's going to have to fight so many battles when she grows up. I just feel like I have to fight this one for her.
Liza: Here. Why don't you hold Colby. And you let her save your daughter's place until she gets here. Ok?
Dixie: Ok.
Liza: You're so good.
Dixie: Ok.
Liza: You're so good.

Max: Daddy, it's -- Ryan!
Ryan: Hey. Give me five. Yeah.
Max: Are you coming to my birthday party?
Ryan: Oh, today's your birthday?
Max: Yep. I'm 7.
Ryan: Well, congratulations.
Max: I thought you were a burglar.
Ryan: You did? No, no, I just -- I just came by to talk to your dad for a little bit.
Mateo: Hey, Max? Why don't you get back to the party?
Max: Will you come, too?
Ryan: Yeah, maybe I will. Maybe for a little while.
Raquel: Max, your friends are ready to cut the cake.
Mateo: Come on.

Mateo: What the hell you doing here?
Hayley: Came to see you. We really need to talk.
Mateo: You bring your bodyguard with you?
Ryan: Look, man, I just came by --
Mateo: Shut up.
Ryan: To drop off the keys to the club.
Mateo: Shut up and get out. This is my home. This is my home, and you bring this here?
Ryan: Look, your fight's with me, man, not with Hayley.
Mateo: Get out.
Hayley: I really needed to speak to Mateo privately.
Ryan: Are you sure you're going to be ok?
Hayley: Yeah. I'll be fine. You go.
Hayley: Ryan really did come by just to drop off the keys.
Mateo: And you just happened to be here, right?
Hayley: I was waiting for you, like I said.
Mateo: Please. Please, save it.
Hayley: Mateo, what's the crime? Two people were talking. That's it.
Mateo: Yeah, I just caught the end of your act.
Hayley: What's that supposed to mean?

Raquel: Shouldn't we do something?
Ryan: You mean break it up?
Raquel: Yeah. I mean, I know it's not our fight, but the kids are hearing every word.
Ryan: I've been shutting up guys like that my whole life.
Raquel: Ryan, please, don't make it any worse.

Mateo: You got no class and you got no clue.
Hayley: Oh, name-calling. That's constructive.
Mateo: Fine. If you don't like it, just leave!

Max: Why is daddy yelling? Is he mad at me?
Raquel: No. No, mijo, of course not. You want to break your piņata now so you can get some candy?
Max: My tummy hurts.
Raquel: Oh.
Woman: Maybe we should go now.
Raquel: Oh, no.
Max: No, not yet.
Ryan: Uh -- look, I've got an idea. I've got a great idea. Do you guys like magic, you and your friends? You see this? I can make this disappear. Come on. Follow me. Hey, guys.

Hayley: Why did I even come back here?
Mateo: I don't know. Fool around with your boyfriend, rub my face in it, maybe?
Hayley: To talk to you.
I spoke to my Uncle Trevor.
Mateo: And what, Trevor told you that you should talk to me, huh? I guess the porkchop cut Tink a break because we all know Tinkerbell can do know wrong, right?
Hayley: Where's this coming from, Mateo?
Mateo: Where'd you do it? Hmm? In the bedroom? The kitchen. You always liked the kitchen.
Hayley: You've lost your mind.
Mateo: Did you use protection? No, that's right -- you want a baby.
Hayley: Shut your mouth.
Mateo: Is this what you'd give my son for his birthday? Because he already knows you hate him, and what you did here today proves it.
Hayley: I didn't do anything.
Mateo: You turned my son's birthday party into a peepshow!
Hayley: You're the one making a scene, not me. And if you think I would do anything to ruin that little boy's day, then you don't know me very well.
Mateo: I know you. I know you better than I want to know you. You know what I learned today? I learned fathers live in daughters, not just sons.
Hayley: I'm nothing like my father.
Mateo: I want you out of my life.
Hayley: Do I get a vote? Because that's not what I want.
Mateo: You see, I don't care what you want. Ryan, AA. -- I don't care if you sink or swim. It means nothing to me. But you're not going to get your hands on my club.
Hayley: Oh, now S.O.S. Is your club, right?
Mateo: Yeah. I went out to the bank, applied for a loan so I can buy you out. Guess what happened -- I was denied. Was that you? Or did daddy do it for you?
Hayley: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Mateo: No. See, you don't lie as good as your dad. But don't worry. You'll get there.

Dixie: So, Belinda, have you ever wanted children?
Belinda: Oh, I think I'd better work on a husband first.
Liza: Didn't you help raise your brother Noah?
Belinda: Well, me and my Aunt Grace. Noah wouldn't really let me mother him. I think he thought he was too big to be held and comforted.
Dixie: Well, why don't you try this little sweetheart on for size, hmm?
Belinda: No. She looks perfectly fine right where she is.
Becca: Dixie's arms were made for cradling.
Dixie: Oh. Well, it certainly feels good.
Becca: You know, Scott was right. You and Tad are perfect for the documentary.
Dixie: Oh, why, the world's worst breakup stories?
Becca: But the world's most happiest ending.
Belinda: Yes, and how true love conquers all.
Dixie: Well, I believe that. Yeah, I believe that with all my heart.

Opal: You see what I mean? You're worried about Dixie, and Ray is the devil that's hissing in your ear -- "Life is never going to give you a break." But look around you, honey, at the reality.
You got the woman you love.
You got Jamie.
You got Junior.
You got a brand-new baby on the way.
Life doesn't get much better than that.
Tad: It could get worse.
Opal: Yeah, well, I guess the sky could fall tomorrow, yeah, but there's nothing we can do about that. Now, Hayward told Dixie that if she minds her health, then she and the baby are going to be just fine. Now, you got to learn to have some faith. That's all we're asking.
Tad: "We"? Is that what Dixie said?
Opal: And you mind your wife on this one, honey. She knows what she's talking about. Go on.

Erica: I'm in shock.
Brooke: So is Edmund
Gillian: I can't believe it. Dimitri's gone. It feels like my father died.
Jack: Listen, is there -- is there somebody we should call?
Brooke: I'll call Peggy at Wildwind, you know, because when the news gets out to the press, I don't want Sam and Maddie --
Jack: Yeah.
Brooke: Ok. Be right back.

Edmund: You're still warm, Dimi.
Edmund: It's me, Eddie. Hey, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be at a party.
Edmund: Dim, I don't know what's going on here.
Edmund: Oh. Dimitri. Dimitri. There wasn't enough time. You were only my brother for a few years. Please. Wasn't enough time.
Edmund: I love you, Dimi.

Raquel: I'm so sorry this happened.
Woman: No, it's not your fault.
Raquel: The kids --
Woman: Thank you. Thank you.

Mateo: I'm not going to let you run my club into the ground!

Raquel: Please, you guys, take your goodie bags and the cake.
Mateo: I'd sooner burn it down than ever have you walk through that front door ever again!
Ryan: Hey, hey, enough!
Mateo: So help me God, Lavery! This is none of your business.
Ryan: Yeah, well, you made it my business. You made it the whole neighborhood's business. Your shouting scared Max's friends away.
Mateo: Get out.
Ryan: He's crying outside!
Mateo: Get out!
Ryan: What is the matter with you?
Mateo: Get out.
Ryan: Tormenting your wife and children like this? You're out of control!
Mateo: Lavery, get out.
Ryan: I'm going, and I'm taking Hayley with me. Come on, Hayley.
Mateo: Take her.
Ryan: Good. You might want to take care of your son.

[Tad hugs Dixie]

Dixie: Thank you so much,.. What are you doing here? Come he. Oh. You are not going to lose me. We're going to be together forever. I promise.

Edmund: Doesn't seem real.
Erica: I know.
Edmund: Doc, what's -- Ahem -- what's the official cause of death?
Doctor: We suspect a cerebral aneurysm.
Gillian: What does that mean?
Doctor: It's a swelling where the arteries branch at the base of the brain.
Jack: Wouldn't there have been some kind of symptoms with a thing like that?
Doctor: Headaches are common, but this type of aneurysm is most often diagnosed postmortem.
Edmund: Ok, well, then you're going to perform an autopsy, right?
Doctor: I don't feel that's necessary.
Edmund: Well, I do. I want to know what killed my brother.
Dr. Silbert: Mr. Grey --
Edmund: No, I want to know. I am his next of kin. I am ordering you to perform an autopsy.
Woman: No. I won't allow it!
