ALL MY CHILDREN

JUNE 12, 2001

Brooke: Hmm. Laura? There is a very large box here to see you. Oh, and Leo is with it.
Brooke: Been shopping?
Leo: Oh, yeah. You look beautiful.
Laura: I feel like a ghost.
Brooke: Oh, don't say that.
Laura: I got a look at myself in the mirror. Could I be any paler?
Leo: Oh, we, then I've got just the gift that will bring out all your natural healthy skin tones.
Brooke: Well, you know what? I'll just be in the kitchen. Leo? Go easy.
Leo: Got it. Where's -- where's the lovely nurse Zora?
Brooke: She's doing some food shopping at the organic market in Philly.

Leo: Well, well, well. So it's a free-free visit.
Laura: Yeah, don't jinx it. You did go crazy.
Leo: Go ahead, woman, open up the box.
Leo: Mm-hmm. Well?
Laura: Leo, this is beautiful. I never had anything like this. I usually sleep in a tank top and boxers.
Leo: Well, keep going.
Leo: Keep going. Oh, hey, that one's for me. I couldn't decide which one would look sweetest on you, so I -- I got you all of them.
Laura: This is out of control.
Leo: Yeah, one for every night of the week and then some.
Laura: How did you know the size?
Leo: Well, come on, Laura, that was easy.
Laura: So, you want to go see if you were right? My bedroom is down here now.
Leo: Well, what about your mother?
Laura: Come on. She doesn't have to know.
Leo: Yeah, we got to be careful, Laura. I mean, you know, with your heart and everything.
Laura: It's all yours. Come on. I'll try them on, and you can tell me which one's your favorite.
Laura: Come on.

J.R.: Dad, I'm sorry, but you said you needed to know where the drugs came from.
Adam: Listen, are you -- are you telling me that the drugs that your friend OD'd on, the drugs you took, came from David Hayward? He tried to buy your silence with drugs?
J.R.: Yes. That's what I'm saying. I -- he knows how much I hate him and how much I don't want him anywhere near my mom. Look, he showed up to my school looking for her, and I just -- I flipped. And I showed up to his hotel just to let him know I wanted him to back off. He went into his medical bag and he took out these pills.
Adam: Oh, my God.
J.R.: Look, he said that I could just -- I could take them and he would supply enough for my friends, too, if I'd just lay off.
Adam: And you agreed to that?
J.R.: He said they'd make me feel better.
Adam: What did he give you? J.R.?
J.R.: I don't know what they are. I didn't even recognize the label. But I swear I only took one. Ken took a whole handful. That's why he got sick. I don't even want to leave the hospital until I find out that he's ok.
Liza: That's a prescription painkiller. If you really only took one, you should be ok.
J.R.: I'm fine. Really. I was just scared to tell you, Dad. And I'm sorry. But I've -- I've been in a lot of trouble lately, and I just didn't want you to get mad.
Adam: Son, I am not mad. It was very brave of you to tell me this. I know how difficult it was for you, and I respect you for that.
Liza: Adam, I think --
Adam: And I think I'm going to kill David Hayward with my bare hands. I think that's what I'm going to do.

[Doorbell rings]

David: Hey.
Brooke: Hi.
David: I'm sorry I'm late, Brooke. There was a break-in in my hotel room.
Brooke: Oh, you're kidding. What happened?
David: It's not important. Forget it. How's Laura doing here?
Brooke: Oh. She's so happy to not be in the hospital, and Zora is looking after her like a hawk, so I'm -- I'm very comfortable with her being here.
David: Is she resting?
Brooke: Uh -- yes. Actually, your brother is here. They're somewhere in the house. He's been great with her, David.
David: Good. I'm glad. Like I said, the only thing we have control over right now is her attitude, so if her spirits are up, that works in our favor.
Brooke: There's just one thing that I -- I haven't done, and I'm really dreading it.
David: Something with Laura?
Brooke: No, with her brother. Would you help me with Jamie?

Alex: We should have stopped them.
Dimitri: How? You don't really think we could rope and tie my brother and your sister --
Alex: I can't believe that Edmund would go along with this.
Dimitri: Well, Edmund knew that he couldn't keep Anna from going to the hospital and seeing Charlotte to confront her, and he wasn't going to let her go by herself.
Alex: Oh, I know that.
Dimitri: Oh.
Alex: You can wipe that look off your face. I'm not jealous that Edmund went off with my sister. I mean, I don't have room in my head for that kind of rubbish.
Dimitri: No, I just -- I thought that maybe -- Gillian. It's late. What are you doing here?
Gillian: Walking in on an argument, it seems.
Alex: Oh, no, Darling, it's nothing.
Gillian: I don't believe you. Something's been going on in this house. Everybody's been on edge for weeks. I walk into a room and everybody clams up. No one's been telling me the truth -- no one -- not even my husband, and it's tearing him up, which just makes me believe that you all know what's going on. Ryan and I just got married, and you're forcing him to keep this horrible secret from me. I want you to tell me what's going on -- right now. Well, are you going to tell me or --
Ryan: Or should I?

Ryan: She has to be told.
Dimitri: No, Ryan, don't do this. Ryan: I got
your note that you were coming here. And I figured you were coming for answers, and I want to make sure you get them. Alex, she has to know. This has gone on long enough. She's part of this family. She deserves to know the truth from all of us. Listen to me. I love you more than words can say, and I am so sorry that I haven't told you the truth.
Dimitri: No -- damn it, Ryan. We're only doing this to protect Gillian.
Alex: She could be in danger.
Ryan: Oh, please. She already is in danger. We're all in danger. And this lie to keep her safe, it's -- it's starting to be more trouble and more dangerous than the truth. You both know that I'm right. Thank you.
Gillian: What's going on, Dimitri, please?
Alex: Sweetheart, remember I told you that I had a sister, a twin sister, Anna?
Gillian: Yes, and that she died several years ago. She didn't die?
Alex: No. But the people who tried to kill her -- they still want her dead.

Bianca: Gabriel, come on. He's in here. Look. I came in here to get one of the horses ready to ride, and I found him just lying here. He's breathing but he won't move, and something is seriously wrong with him.
Gabriel: Don't be afraid, boy. It's ok.
Bianca: Can you tell what's wrong with him? Oh, my God. What is that?
Gabriel: It's a tranquilizer dart.
Bianca: A what?
Gabriel: You're ok, ok, boy? Don't be afraid. That a boy.
Bianca: Oh, my God. Gabriel, how did you do that? How did you know what to do?
Gabriel: He showed me.
Bianca: Wow. God, who would shoot a poor dog with a tranquilizer dart?
Gabriel: I don't know, but his run is out back. I think we should put him there until we know what happened and why.
Bianca: Ok. I'll stay here with him, and you can go --
Gabriel: No. You need to come with me. You can't be here alone. Come on, boy. Come on.

Brooke: Jamie knows that Laura has been sick, obviously, and she's been in the hospital, and he's been great here since she's been home -- very quiet because he knows she needs to rest. He's just -- he's anxious, and I know that he knows that he hasn't been told everything.
David: I'm sure he can handle it, Brooke, you know, if we just give him the facts and don't alarm him.
Brooke: You'll help me?
David: Yeah, of course. Of course I will, yeah.
Brooke: Thank you, David. I just -- I just don't want to cry when I tell him. I could, you know, make him more afraid.
David: Well, I've met Jamie a couple of times. He -- he seems like a really bright kid.
Brooke: Yes. He is. He loves his sister.
David: Is he home now?
Brooke: Yes. Um -- you know, if there are any medical questions --
David: No, I'll just -- I'll just be straight with him, and I'll try not to be scary.
Brooke: This means a lot to me.
David: You know, I was always slammed for my bedside manner at Pine Valley Hospital, but I kind of felt like I was getting a raw deal. You want to call him?
Brooke: Yeah.

Brooke: Jamie, can you come down and see me for a minute? Sweetie?
Jamie: What's he doing here?
Brooke: David is Laura's doctor, her heart doctor, from the hospital.
Jamie: There are other doctors.
Brooke: David is the best one that we can have who's going to help Laura.
Jamie: No way, Mom. J.R. hates him.
Brooke: Jamie, you know what? This is not about J.R. This is about Laura. She's ill. She's very, very sick. And Dr. Hayward is going to try and save her life.

Liza: You know, J.R., could I have a minute with your dad?
Adam: Not -- not right now, Liza. Let's take J.R. home and --
Liza: No, right now. George is out front with the car. Would you mind going and waiting for us, please?
J.R.: Dad, what exactly are you going to do to David?

Liza: Do you think we could talk about it on the way home, please? I know how much you love him, and I know how much you want him to love you. But your love is twisted. It's clouding your judgment.
Adam: What are you talking about? My judgment of David Hayward? Who supplied our son and his friends with dangerous, life-threatening drugs?
Liza: David didn't give J.R. or anyone drugs.
Adam: Excuse me?
Liza: Think about it just for a minute. I know you don't want it to be true, but try to see what's really going on here.
Adam: You're saying my son's lying to me.
Liza: He was lying to you. He said he didn't do drugs, he did.
Adam: He was scared.
Liza: He was caught. I don't like David Hayward any more than you do. He can do some awful things. But think about what your son is accusing him of -- handing some teenagers a bunch of drugs just to keep them quiet? He's an awful man, he's not an idiot.
Adam: He drugged a boatload of people without hesitation.
Liza: No, I'm not -- you know I'm right.
Adam: Hayward would do anything to get Dixie. Anything. The whole town knows that. Now, what you have to understand is I've met people like Hayward. I know they will stop at nothing to get what they want, and he wants Dixie. And if drugging her son to keep him quiet is what he has to do, then that's exactly what Hayward will do to get her.
Liza: All right. Well, why don't you think about your logic? If David wants Dixie, why in the world would he ever harm her son?
Adam: Why not? He's a barrier to his mother. What better way to get rid of that obstacle? Just OD the kid, shut him up for good.
Liza: That's crazy.
Adam: No, I'm crazy because a dangerous man tried to kill my son tonight. And I'm going to make him pay for it.
Liza: No. Don't do anything!

Gillian: So this Charlotte is still trying to kill Anna?
Ryan: Yeah, well, we think so. So that's why I didn't want you anywhere near Wildwind, because I thought it was too dangerous. I thought something might happen to you here.
Ryan: I am so sorry that I lied to you. I thought I was keeping you safe.
Gillian: You have to trust me. I'm safest when I know everything you know. I'm your wife, Ryan. And I'll stand with you through the good and the bad. Don't forget that.
Alex: We should leave you alone.

[Door opens]

Alex: Gabriel.
Dimitri: Bianca, what -- what's going on? Why are you with him?
Gillian: Isn't that the stowaway?
Ryan: Yeah, another part of this that you haven't heard. Gabriel is Alex's brother. Listen, come on. Come here.
Bianca: I was here to take Scorpio for a ride in the paddock, and I found one of the guard dogs in the tack room. I thought he was dead, but he wasn't, and Gabriel helped him.
Gabriel: He had been shot with a tranquilizer dart.
Alex: What?
Dimitri: Listen, Bianca, I know that I told you you could stop by anytime to ride, but things are really tense around here right now. Ok? So you mustn't come back here again until I tell you that you can. I'm -- I'm sorry. I should have warned you.
Bianca: Warned me about what?
Dimitri: I'm afraid we're going to have to leave that explanation to another time.
Alex: You should call security.
Dimitri: Yeah, I will. I will. I just -- I just want one of our guards to get you home.
Bianca: Dimitri, it's ok. I mean, I'm with Gabriel, and he's --
Dimitri: And he is not to go near you again.

Laura: How lame am I? I don't think I have the energy to get undressed and try this on. I wish things were different.
Leo: They will be -- soon. Ok? And all these things are still going to look great on you when you're better, Laura. Sit. Besides, I don't think you could look any more lovely than you do right now.

Brooke: Then when Laura gets the heart transplant, then she's going to be fine. She'll be back to her old self.
Jamie: Yeah, I know. I just wish she could have my heart.
David: Uh -- Jamie, listen to me for a minute. The new heart that your sister is going to get is -- it's going to come from someone who can't live a full life anymore because they've been too hurt. Now, your heart is in great shape, and that's a good thing because, well, your mother and Laura are both going to need you to be strong for them. Um -- now, I know your brother has told you a few things about me. But I just want you to know this -- I am the best heart doctor around and I can save your sister if I get her a new heart. All right? Now, you don't have to like me. Just know that I'm going to do everything I can to make your sister get better.
Jamie: Thanks, Dr. Hayward.

[Knock on door]

Brooke: Who's that? Adam. What's wrong? What's- hey! Adam:
You cowardly, murdering bastard!
Brooke: Oh, my God!

Leo: Laura --
Laura: You started this, buying out a whole lingerie store.
Leo: Yeah, well, we can't, not now.
Laura: Why can't we?
Leo: Well, your mother is within shouting distance.
Laura: Didn't you know this was going to happen?
Leo: I don't know. I don't know anything when I'm with you these days, Laura.
Laura: I feel better. I feel alive.
Leo: You are. You are.
Laura: Then let's get out of here.
Leo: What do you mean? Where do you want to go?
Laura: Let's go to Ryan's yacht.
Leo: Laura, we can't just -- it's too risky. Your heart literally can't --
Laura: My heart literally has never felt better than it does this moment, Leo.

Adam: Lousy coward! Get up!
David: What is your problem?
Adam: Get up!

Leo: What was that? Is that my brother?
Laura: Fighting with Adam? Here?

Adam: You creep!
Brooke: What is the matter with you? This is my home. My daughter is here. She's not well.
Adam: Well, are you entrusting her care to this dope peddler?
David: Why don't you just tell us what the hell you're talking about, Chandler!
Adam: Why don't you tell Brooke what you did today. Why don't you tell Brooke how you tried to bribe my son to keep his silence by giving him drugs out of your medical bag.
David: What?
Adam: Tell her how one of his friends nearly died from an overdose, Doc.
Brooke: Are you out of your mind? How could you come up with something as insane as that?
Adam: Because my son had the courage to expose this yellow-bellied jackass.
David: I did not give your son drugs, Adam!
Adam: Oh, really? Really? Just like you didn't give me a heart medication that almost killed me. And half the people in this town -- you didn't give them Libidozone. You're way over the line, Doc, because this is personal. This is my family. This is my son you're screwing around with, and I'm going to personally see to it that you don't do it to anybody else!

Leo: Jamie, I need -- go sit with your sister.
Jamie: Mom --
Leo: Let these guys work this out.
Jamie: I want to stay.
Brooke: Go be with Laura.
Leo: She's in her bedroom.
Brooke: Jamie, please, now.

Leo: You guys want to tell me what the hell's going on?
Adam: Yeah. Yeah, your brother tried to kill my son today. And I'd love to kill him right now with my own bare hands, but I don't think I could get away with that, so I'm going to call the police and have them put him back in jail, where he will not have a prayer of making bail. What the --
Brooke: No!
Adam: What the hell is the matter with you?
Brooke: You're not doing this! You're not!

Dimitri: Ok. Thank you, Richard. And send a car to take Bianca Montgomery home, as well. All right, thanks. They're going to search the grounds again.
Bianca: Dimitri, I'm really confused.
Dimitri: I know. I know you are, and that's why I want you to trust me. Just stay away from here, ok, and stay away from him.
Bianca: What do you mean, stay away from Gabriel?
Dimitri, why are you talking to me like this?
Dimitri: Bianca, I really can't get into it with you right now.
Bianca: Well, I know who he is. He's Alex's brother. Alex, what is going on?
Alex: Oh, Sweetheart, it's too complicated to explain.
Bianca: Well, you should have seen him with that dog. You don't think that he would hurt an animal, do you? I mean, there's no way.
Dimitri: Bianca, this is a family matter. I really need you to respect that right now --
Alex: Can I talk you a second?
Dimitri: Sure.

Bianca: You going to tell me what's going on?

Alex: Why are you overreacting?
Dimitri: What?
Alex: You've made Bianca more suspicious than she needed to be. You have no reason to be so harsh with Gabriel.
Dimitri: No, no, no, no. I have the best reason -- you. Come on. You and your sister, you really don't know anything about this guy or why he showed up right now. He could be programmed to hurt you or Anna. After all this time, could you really put something like that past Charlotte? Yeah. Listen, I need to go supervise the search of the grounds with the head of security. Just make sure Bianca gets home safely, ok?
Alex: Mm-hmm.

Bianca: So why doesn't Dimitri trust you, Gabriel? Alex does, right?
Gabriel: Look, forget about it, ok?

Ryan: Listen, I have no idea what's going on here, but I want to take you home right now. And Dimitri told us to be suspicious about anybody who just pops up and asks questions about our lives -- like Gabriel.
Gillian: What about Ilene? What about what she said, Ryan?
Ryan: Ilene asked you about Alex's twin sister?
Gillian: When we were talking about this piece that she wanted to do on me, she just sort of dropped it into the conversation. And I didn't think much of it at the time. I did say that it wasn't exactly common knowledge.
Ryan: Yeah? What did she say to that?
Gillian: She said she likes to do her research on her subjects. I mean, maybe it's not that unusual. You know, it was in the papers and everything and any researcher could have found that out.
Ryan: I never liked that woman. There was always something off about her. She -- she was trying to get you to get her access at Wildwind, right?
Gillian: Yes. She said that it would lend authenticity to the piece. And then when Alex said no, she said that she needed to contact her money people and find out what they would say now.
Ryan: So you were still talking to her about this?
Gillian: Just a little bit. She said that she was going to call me back, but she hasn't. I don't know -- she maybe moved on.
Ryan: Yeah, maybe she hasn't.

Dimitri: Bianca, this is Russell. He's going to make sure you get home safely.
Bianca: Ok.
Dimitri: Thanks, Russell. Where's Alex?
Bianca: I don't know. She told me to wait here.
Dimitri: All right. Well, what about Gabriel?
Bianca: He ran out right after you did.

Alex: Oh! It's only me.
Gabriel: Jeez, Alex. Don't do that. I could have hurt you before I even saw you.
Alex: Oh, sorry. I knew you'd be here.
Gabriel: I came back to see if the dog was ok.
Alex: And to get away from Dimitri. It's -- he's being very protective. Don't be cross with him.
Gabriel: He hates me.
Alex: No, he doesn't hate you. He's afraid of you.
Gabriel: What's does he have to be afraid of? Why does he think I'd hurt you or Anna? You're my sisters.
Alex: Well, Charlotte nearly killed him. She held him captive at Bryn Wydd for months on end. He thought that I was dead, his brother, Edmund. In time, he'll come to know what I do about you and --
Gabriel: And he'll still hate me.
Alex: Gabriel, no.
Gabriel: Look, Alex, he doesn't want me here. He's just like my father.

Liza: I don't know where your father is.
J.R.: Do you really think he would go after David?
Liza: I don't know. I hope not.
J.R.: Thank you for bringing me back to see Ken.
Liza: I talked to the doctor who pumped his stomach. He's going to be ok, but he we
nt through a terrible experience. J.R.: I know.
Liza: I think you should talk to him about what happened. I think he's waiting for his parents.
J.R.: His dad's going to flip.
Liza: Yeah. He probably will. I'm going to keep trying to get your father on the cell phone.
J.R.: Thanks, Liza.

J.R.: Man, you look real bad.
Ken: Yeah, well, I feel horrible.
J.R.: The doctors say you're going to be ok, though.
Ken: Well, my throat feels like it's on fire, man. And they had to pump my stomach.
J.R.: I know. I'm really sorry. I didn't realize you took so many.
Ken: Yeah, man. The doctor said something about high dosage per pill and body weight -- I don't freaking know.
J.R.: I'm just glad you're ok. Your parents know?
Ken: Yeah. My mom and dad -- they just got here. They're with the doctors right now. J.R.: How did they take it?
Ken: Really bad.
J.R.: Look, Ken, I told my dad that David gave us those pills.
Ken: What?
J.R.: Shh.
Ken: J.R. -- J.R., we stole those pills. Hayward's not going to cover for you or me or --
J.R.: I know. But I did it, and I'm going to have to stick to it. If they find out I'm lying, I'm going to be in even more trouble.
Ken: What do you want me to do, just play along, man? This is serious, J.R. You're going to get busted. And they're going to ask me, too. And what I'm supposed to say, the doctor just handed us a bag full of painkillers?
J.R.: I don't know. Just lie. You got to do this one favor for me, Ken, please. Just let me do the cover story.
Ken: This is so stupid.
J.R.: Look, can you keep your mouth shut? Please, Ken.
Ken: All right, man.
J.R.: Thank you so much.

J.R.: Liza.
Liza: I can't reach your father. We should go.
J.R.: Right. You feel better, Ken.
Ken: Yeah, man. Bye, Ms. Chandler.
Liza: Bye, Ken. Take care of yourself.

Brooke: David is saving my daughter's life, and you're not going to come in my home and punch him out and have the police take him away. Laura needs him, Adam. Do you hear me?
Adam: Do you hear me? He gave my son drugs.
Brooke: I don't believe that for a minute. Adam, he doesn't need any more legal problems. I moved heaven and earth to get him available for my daughter's care, and I am not going to let you mess it up now.
Adam: He's using your daughter and her health problems to secure his o freedom.
Brooke: If my daughter is saved, I don't care why he's doing it!
Adam: He is a psychopath, Brooke! He tried to bribe my son to keep him quiet with drugs so he could go back after Dixie again.
David: Oh, Adam! Would you mind telling me where you came up with an insane idea like that in the first place?
Adam: I already told you once, you moron. My son came forward with the truth, which is a hell of a lot more than we can expect out of you.
David: And you believe J.R. Is that what you're saying?
Adam: My son doesn't lie.
David: Your son uses drugs, Adam. Everything about him is a lie.
Adam: What did you say?
Leo: Whoa, whoa, whoa -- Knock it off!
Brooke: Stop it!
Leo: Just back off! Adam, back off! Laura's sick, and she can't be exposed to this kind of stress right now, all right?
Brooke: I want you to leave my house now. I mean it.
Adam: You despicable little gnat! You have the audacity to stand there and accuse my son of lying after what you did to him, after his friend almost died?
David: I'm not lying to you, Chandler. Your son is.
Adam: No, you are a liar. Everything you say is --
David: If J.R. told you that I gave him drugs, then J.R. is lying to you again.
Adam: How dare you impugn my son's --
David: Oh, come on. Face it, Adam -- you ruined that kid. He's a psychological and emotional wreck, and it's all because of you. The only stability he ever had was living with his mother, and you took that away from him, too, because you got self-righteous and all full of yourself. And now you got this kid that would ruin my career, my reputation, all of it, because you taught him how to be that way. And because he's a drug-using, lying little weasel of a kid --
Adam: You --
Leo: Hey, come on!
Brooke: All right!
Leo: Get off of him!
Brooke: Both of you, stop it! Leave -- stop it!
Leo: Get off of him!
Brooke: Leo, please!

Dimitri: So this Ilene -- she only wanted permission to be on the grounds to shoot footage for her documentary, right?
Ryan: That's what she said.
Gillian: Dimitri, really, we have no reason to believe anything right now.
Ryan: Except that she mentioned Anna
. Dimitri: What? She did?
Gillian: Well, yeah. We were just having this conversation about nothing, and then she just said that she knew Alex had a sister who died in an explosion.
Dimitri oh, boy.
Gillian: Dimitri, you don't think --
Dimitri: I'm not sure. I'm not sure, but the second you guys see or hear from her again, let me know, all right?
Ryan: Yeah, we will.
Dimitri: All right. Ryan, take your bride home. You, I -- I am so sorry that we didn't tell you the truth about Anna.
Gillian: I know why you did it. And I love you for it. But from now on --
Ryan: Full disclosure.
Dimitri: Absolutely. You got it. Good night, you guys.
Ryan: Good night, Dimitri.
Gillian: Good night.

Dimitri: Oh, Russell, good. Ms. Montgomery get home ok?
Russell: Yes, sir. And I had one of the other guards drive her car home.
Dimitri: Ok. Thanks. She probably thinks we're nuts. I'm going to have to tell Bianca not to mention this to her mother. That's all I need is if Erica Kane shows up here and starts asking some questions.

[Telephone rings]

Dimitri: Yes? Oh, so you can't find Alex anywhere. Great. Ok, what about Gabriel? All right, just -- no, just keep looking. Keep looking. Where have they gone now?

Gabriel: Anna gave me this.
Alex: I know. She told me she was going to because it belonged to our father.
Gabriel: So?
Alex: So didn't you like him? You seem angry, like you hated him.
Gabriel: I never said that.
Alex: No, you didn't say that, but -- see, I didn't know him. Only what Anna's told me, and that really isn't very much. But I'm glad you did, that you have a memory about him, whatever it was. What was my father like?
Gabriel: I knew him, but I didn't know he was my father. He was the man my mother worked for.
Alex: Please tell me he was kind to you.
Gabriel: Yeah, he was.
Alex: But he didn't acknowledge you? Or give you his name, right?
Gabriel: I took it on later.
Alex: But you weren't family.
Gabriel: Not in the way that most people think of it.
Alex: Were you happy?
Gabriel: I only remember happiness there.
Alex: So he couldn't protect you? You see, that's what Dimitri's trying to do for all of us.

[Horse neighs]

Alex: This looks good on you. It does. It really suits you, like it's belonged there forever. It's sort of like a -- a remembrance of a family that almost was.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: I hold your son's future in the palm of my hand.

Gabriel: Did you hear that? Somebody's out there.

Greenlee: Well, you owe me.
Erica: Excuse me?
Greenlee: I'll settle for twice my salary.

Laura: There's room for two over here.
