ALL MY CHILDREN

MARCH 12, 2001

Man: I hope I'm not too early.
Dixie: No, not if you're Zachary Pell.
Man: Guilty.
Dixie: Hi. Dixie Martin. How do you do? Please come in. Jack couldn't have recommended you more highly.
Zachary: Jack's a great lawyer.
Dixie: Here, please.
Zachary: But divorces are tricky, and he's fond of you both.
Dixie: Well, I got to tell you, Zachary, that word makes me very nervous.
Zachary: Well, it doesn't necessarily have to come to that, but a legal separation is extremely important when a couple isn't living together and is in conflict.
Dixie: So what do I do next?
Zachary: We mark out the points -- everything that would be important to you -- and we file the papers. There's no commitment beyond peace of mind at this point. Dixie: I don't know when I'm going to have that next, so --
Zachary: Have you and your husband considered counseling?
Dixie: I think it's too late for that.
Zachary: Many couples, even the ones that have no chance to reconcile, go into counseling to help themselves let go in a healthier and more productive way. Are you anticipating a struggle with Tad?
Dixie: Oh, no. No, no. Tad's a very good man. He's a great father and -- I mean, we've both made mistakes. It's just that he's so desperate right now, and his desperation seems to be taking the form of a kind of obsession, and -- you know, I probably shouldn't even be talking about this to you at this stage of the game.

[Knock on door]

Dixie: I'm sorry. Excuse me for just a second.

Dixie: Tad -- Tad, now is not a good time for me to talk to you, ok?
Tad: I don't give a damn, ok? It's never a good time anymore. I want to talk to you. I need to talk to you right now.

Dimitri: Yes. Yes.
Erica: David, are you in there?
Dimitri: Uh-oh. Oh, Erica. Hi.
Erica: Dimitri, hi. I was looking for David.
Dimitri: David. No, I haven't seen him.
Erica: Why are you carrying his medical bag?
Dimitri: Well, it's -- ahem -- it's not David's. It's Alex's.
Erica: Oh, no, Dimitri. Oh, no. She's gone, isn't she?
Dimitri: What?
Erica: Alex. You found out that she was dead after all.
Dimitri: Well, actually, I found out that my wife is alive.

David: You think I came here to kill you?
Anna: You stay where you are. All I have to do is raise my voice, and my entire family will be here like that.
David: All right. Well, then let's go somewhere where we can talk in private.
Anna: Nice try.
David: Whatever it is you think you know or you think you saw, you didn't, ok?
Anna: Don't try to confuse me. I might be ill, but I'm not an idiot.
David: Are you saying you've been sick? Is that why you were gone?
Anna: Who sent you?
David: For crying out loud, no one sent me.
Anna: Who do you work for?
David: I work for the foundation. You haven't been gone that long. Someone had to keep it going while you ran off on one of your bimonthly excursions.
Anna: While I what? What do you want?
David: If you would start talking like a normal person, maybe we can have a sane conversation about what really happened on that boat.
Anna: The explosion?
David: What explosion? What the hell are you talking -- Whoa

Marcus: No. No. You've had way too much, way too much. What are you --
Bianca: Really nice, guys.
Mindy: Oops.
Phil: Isn't it a little late for breakfast?
Boy: Not when you never went to bed.
Marcus: Well, not to sleep.
Shannon: After my party, we went to the most outrageous Rave all night.
Heather: Oh, my God. It was so much fun. We have to do that again tonight.
Marcus: Yes, tonight.
Mindy: And tomorrow.
Shannon: I am so totally wasted!
Marcus: All right, now we can eat.
Heather: I am all about being wasted.
Marcus: Look, Bianca, we don't have much room, but we can get some chairs and bring --
Bianca: That's ok, thanks.
Marcus: All right, there's a table right there.
Mindy: I want yours. Mmm.
Heather: Oh. Ew, I can't eat this.
Boy: Can you tell?
Mindy: No. No one can tell.
Boy: Are you sure?
Shannon: She's not sure of her name.

Phil: Can I ask you a question?
Bianca: Sure.
Phil: Have you ever been to a Rave?
Bianca: No.
Phil: Can I ask you another question, Bianca?
Bianca: Sure.
Phil: What's a Rave?
Bianca: It's -- it's like a really wild party.
Phil: I don't usually go to parties like that.
Bianca: No, me, neither.
Phil: Because people who are wasted don't really say anything that means anything, like, ever, you know?
Bianca: Yes, I do.
Phil: What do you think Shannon was wasted on?
Bianca: Ecstasy.

Laura: Jamie, stop mugging, you ham bone.
Jamie: What's mugging?
Brooke: Mugging is that face that you're making.
Jamie: What face?
Brooke: Listen to me. Did you pack for the trip like I asked you to?
Jamie: Yeah. I've got my mask, my snorkel, and my fins.
Brooke: And bathing suits?
Jamie: Oops.
Laura: Oh. He wants to wear his birthday suit to the beach?
Jamie: No, I don't.
Laura: Yes, you do.
Brooke: Go pack.
Laura: Oh, you can go naked. Mom will take you to a nude beach.
Brooke: Laura, stop that.
Jamie: No way!

Laura: He's so fun to rag on.
Brooke: I know he is. So, are you sure you don't want to change your mind and come with us?
Laura: Mom, why would I want to go to the Caribbean when I can be in Pine Valley and work on my photography project all of spring break?
Brooke: All right. I will make it up to you. We will take a trip together before you head off to PVU. In the fall, ok?
Laura: Yeah, assuming I get in.
Brooke: I am not worried about that.
Laura: Well, that makes one of us. Hey, mom, aren't you excited about your vacation?
Brooke: Yes, I am. Also, I think it's going to be good for J.R. And Jamie to get away from here for a little while.
Laura: Yes, Jamie seems ok, but J.R. Is about to pop.
Brooke: I noticed. Oh, listen, I left a list on the fridge for you, numbers I thought you might need -- the hotel --
Laura: Ok.
Brooke: The plumber, the electrician, the guy who takes care of the furnace.
Laura: Mom, I can handle it.
Brooke: I know you can handle it. That's why I'm leaving you here by yourself. It's just when I made these plans, I thought that Aunt Phoebe would be around.
Laura: Yeah. Where was this dig she went on with Langley? What, Arizona?
Brooke: I guess so.
Laura: It's amazing. I mean, I wish Aunt Phoebe could be here, but I can manage. I promise. I don't want you to worry about me.
Brooke: I will keep that in mind.
Laura: Um -- ahem -- you -- you said I can have some friends over.
Brooke: Yes. Certainly.
Laura: Thanks.
Brooke: Certainly. So, who would the friends be? Suzanne? Molly? Leo du Pres?
Laura: Oh, I don't know any Leo du Pres.
Brooke: Oh, really? He's oh so five minutes ago already?
Laura: Definitely. Glib and charming does not hold up over time.
Brooke: Well, good for you.
Laura: Yeah. I feel pretty good about it.
Brooke: Ok. All right, so you know what I don't want happening here with your friends while I'm gone, right?
Laura: Totally. No worries.
Brooke: Which means the house will be standing when I get back?
Laura: I will try.
Brooke: Oh, what more could a mother ask? Ok. Listen, is J.R. Here yet?
Laura: Yeah, he's upstairs.
Brooke: Yeah? How did he seem to you?
Laura: Not great. No, he's wigging out about his mom and Tad. Why did that happen, Mom?
Brooke: Oh, with Tad and Dixie?
Laura: Yeah. I mean, who would have guessed they'd self-destruct? Why did it happen?
Brooke: I don't know. I don't think Tad and Dixie know, either.

Dixie: Fine, Tad. Talk.
Tad: May I come in for a few minutes?
Dixie: Just say what you have to say, please.
Tad: Yeah. Fine. Whatever. Have you seen a videocassette of any kind in a white sleeve anywhere, maybe in David's office or his room at the Valley Inn?
Dixie: What?
Tad: A videotape, Dixie. A videotape in a white box. It's important.
Dixie: Just what is this about, Tad?
Tad: Look, trust me, ok? Just trust me. I wouldn't be bothering you if I didn't need this.
Dixie: I don't know what to say.
Tad: Look, it is all -- if I can get my hands on that tape, it's all the proof I need.
Dixie: You think that there is a videotape of me and David lying around somewhere?
Tad: No, no, no, no, no. Not a tape of you and David. It's just a tape of Hayward.
Dixie: Doing what?
Tad: I don't know. I don't want to talk to you about it anymore, ok? I can't because I was this close to getting my hands on it and it disappeared. It's starting to drive me crazy. It's like the man can read my mind. He knows what I'm thinking before I do, and I'm starting to think that he's getting help from somewhere, Dixie, he's got somebody on the inside.
Dixie: Do you have any idea how paranoid you --
Tad: I am not paranoid!
Dixie: Tad, we -- I told you that this is not a good time to talk, ok? I told you that five seconds ago, and now we're still standing here arguing about something I really don't even understand.
Tad: Ok, ok, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Forgive me. I am sorry. Just let me inside for five minutes, and I'll tell you all about it.
Dixie: No.
Tad: Why not?
Dixie: Because I have company.
Tad: He's in there, right? He's in there. You let me stand here talking about Hayward for 10 minutes, and 's standing in the middle of the living room.
Dixie: No, Tad -- Tad --

Tad: Who are you?
Zachary: Zachary Pell.
Tad: Is that supposed to mean something to me?
Dixie: He's my lawyer, Tad. He's here to talk about a legal separation.

Erica: Alex is alive. How wonderful.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, it is.
Erica: And she's come back to you?
Dimitri: What do you mean?
Erica: Well, Dimitri, I mean, she's been gone for such a long time. Anyone would wonder, where has she been and what happened to her and why did she cut off contact with you?
Dimitri: Yeah, well, Alex had a recurrence of her posttraumatic stress reaction.
Erica: How awful.
Dimitri: She blacked out the night of the party on the yacht.
Erica: Obviously she woke up.
Dimitri: Yes, yes, of course she did. When she came to, she couldn't remember her name, so they admitted her to a hospital as a Jane Doe.
Erica: Incredible.
Dimitri: Yeah, it is. But, you know, she's all better now. She's going to be coming home soon.
Erica: Well, I'm very glad she's safe.
Dimitri: Oh, thank you, Erica.
Erica: But are you?

David: What is wrong with you? Will you put that down before you do something stupid?
Anna: No, see, you're the stupid one, coming in here and thinking that you can just --
David: All right, all right. Just don't panic, ok? Come on, just -- I know we've had our differences, but we can talk about this.
Anna: What are you after?
David: What, me?
Anna: Yes, you. What do you want? What do you think I know?
David: I'm not sure. I just --
Anna: Did Charlotte send you?
David: Charlotte?
Anna: Did Charlotte send you? Who --
David: Look, just put down the gun, ok?
Anna: Stay where you are.
David: And let's just talk, please.
Anna: Stay there. Stay where you are.
David: Come on. Give me the gun, Alex.
Anna: Alex?
Alex: Stop! Get away from her.

Tad: Legal separation. "Legal" separation.
Dixie: We talked about this, Tad.
Tad: We didn't talk about hiring attorneys.
Dixie: Well, how would you like to make a separation legal? How would you like to handle it, Tad?
Tad: Ok, fine, fine. Who's the suit? Did Hayward send you over here? Did you get --
Dixie: No, Jackson Montgomery did.
Tad: Jackson Montgomery?
Dixie: Yes, I called him up, and I asked for a recommendation, ok? Would you please stop blaming everybody else for your problems?
Tad: Are you dumping me before you know the truth about your boyfriend?

Zachary: Dixie, would you like me to come back at another time?
Dixie: Not really, but I think perhaps that might be a good idea.
Zachary: I'll stay if you need me to.
Tad: Trust me, Mr. Pell, the only thing she needs right now is for you to leave.
Dixie: Tad --
Tad: Well, I can't even believe we're doing this to each other.
Zachary: If you'd like, I can speak to your attorney and --
Tad: I don't have an attorney.
Zachary: When you do.
Tad: Oh, that would be swell. Thanks a lot, Mr. Pell. I'll tell you what, Dixie. Why don't we just forego all personal contact whatsoever. We can divide up the dishes and wave to one another over the back fence after we're done. Is that the way you'd like handle this?
Zachary: Your antagonism isn't helping my client, Mr. Martin.
Tad: You want to help your client? Get out of my house.

Zachary: Dixie, is this making you uncomfortable?
Dixie: Yes.
Zachary: All right, then. I can go to the courthouse with you, and we can file a restraining order against your husband.
Dixie: What?
Tad: Are you for real?
Zachary: We can go right now if you want. Dixie?

Dimitri: Of course I'm safe. Why would you ask me that?
Erica: I don't want you to make a mistake, Dimitri.
Dimitri: What kind of mistake?
Erica: Look, I -- I'm thinking of Alex. You say she isn't home yet?
Dimitri: No, not yet.
Erica: And you say that she was ill.
Dimitri: Yes.
Erica: Well, maybe she isn't up to traveling yet. Where did you say she was?
Dimitri: I -- I didn't, Erica, and I wouldn't be bringing Alex home if I didn't think she was ready.
Erica: Well, you're probably the best judge of that.
Dimitri: What do you mean by that?
Erica: Dimitri, the woman has been nothing but trouble for you. She's been unstable from the first day -
Dimitri: Erica --
Erica: She came to town.
Dimitri: Please --
Erica: I can't believe they're letting her practice medicine.
Dimitri: Don't start.
Erica: Dimitri, you can't deny that she's caused you heartache from the first moment you met her.
Dimitri: Erica, Alex is my wife, and I love her more than anything else on earth. And I thought you would be, you know, happy.
Erica: Why should I be happy?
Dimitri: Well, you --
Erica: I mean, apart from the fact that you have peace of mind.
Dimitri: Well, not too long ago, you were afraid that it was because of you -- you persuading Alex -- that she went away. Now we know that's not true, so now you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you were in no way responsible for Alex being away from me for all those months. How about that?

Alex: Step away from the bed, David.
David: Would somebody just tell me what is going on?
Alex: You shouldn't be here. Are you all right?
Anna: Do you know him?
Alex: Yes.
David: Oh, for heaven's sakes, Alex. I obviously thought that she was you.
Alex: I shouldn't have left you alone. I'm so sorry.
Anna: Who is he?
Alex: Dr. David Hayward. I told you about him.
Anna: Oh. Him.
Alex: Yes. Him.
David: Wait a minute. If she's your twin sister, I thought that she was supposed to have been dead.
Alex: And as far as you and the rest of the world are concerned, that hasn't changed. Do you understand? Oh, hi. It's all right. Everything's under control.
Bart: Who's this?
Alex: He's a medical colleague.
Bart: This is just what I warned you about.
Alex: I know, I know.
Anna: I need to get out of here. I need some air.
Bart: No, you can't go outdoors, not in your condition.
Anna: Yes, you can look after me. Come on, come on.
Alex: Yes. Go. It's fine. I'll take care of this. Just stick to the woods. Make sure no one sees you in the house.
Bart: What's this?
Anna: It's a gun.
Bart: But --
Anna: Take it, take it, take it. I'll explain.
Bart: I don't like this at all.
Alex: I'll find you when this is over. Stay warm.

David: Well. Now that that's taken care of -- I have to admit, Alex, I am more than impressed.
Alex: I don't want to hear it.
David: You are a fountain of hidden secrets, aren't you? So, what else don't I know about you?
Alex: How did you know to come here?
David: Would you just relax?
Alex: How did you get this far?
David: I saw Edmund at the hospital, and I figured something was up. He was gathering supplies.
Alex: Did he see you?
David: No, obviously not. And so I followed him here.
Alex: Did anyone follow you?
David: No.
Alex: How can you be sure?
David: Well, actually, I can't, really.
Alex: Oh, this is unbelievable! You're such a nosy, meddling, scheming little rat! I wish you'd get a life of your own.
David: Why don't you just tell me what's going on?
Alex: I should throw you off this turret.
David: Don't even make a joke about that, Alex. One time being thrown down a flight of stairs by you is enough, thank you.
Alex: I should have finished the job when I had the chance.
David: Look, you don't know what been going on around here since you disappeared.
Alex: Get out. Get out of here. Keep your mouth shut about what you've seen.
David: Why? Why should I keep my mouth shut?
Alex: You're a smart man, David. I think even you can figure out how serious this situation is.
David: Where have you been since November, Alex?
Alex: None of your business.
David: None of my business? You kept me hanging with an endowment and a research foundation and no answers, and now I find you holed up in a tower with your supposedly dead sister who's very much alive -- and just as obnoxious as you, I might add -- and you want me to pretend that I didn't see any of it?
Alex: Yes, that's exactly what I want.
David: -Uh. It's not possible.
Alex: What?
David: I can't forget what I've seen. And you know it.

Dixie: No, I'm sorry. Zachary, no, I don't need a restraining order for Tad.
Zachary: I'm sorry,
Dixie, I just thought --
Tad: You didn't think anything, you just started judging. You don't know anything about me. You don't know anything about us. If you want to start slapping restraining orders on people, try Dr. David Hayward.
Dixie: Tad --
Tad: He's already tried killing one woman. God knows when you're going to get in the way.
Dixie: Stop it! Stop it! I don't need a restraining order for my husband or for anyone else, but I do think that we are going to have to reschedule this meeting.
Zachary: Of course. You call me whenever you're ready, Dixie.
Dixie: Thank you.
Zachary: I'm sorry if I caught you off guard with that, but I'm just looking out for your interests.
Dixie: I understand. Thank you. And I will call you at the office. I promise.

Dixie: I wasn't trying to hide anything from you, ok? Your timing was just really bad.
Tad: I can't believe you did this.
Dixie: We have talked about it, Tad.
Tad: I never called a lawyer.
Dixie: Well, maybe you didn't have time in the middle of your very busy vendetta.
Tad: It is not a vendetta. It is not a vendetta. And honestly, how -- you say the word "separation," you know, it's still hanging out there in the air like a little thought bubble, and 30 seconds later, you got a lawyer standing in the middle of our living room, a man that's looking around, dividing everything up into his and hers before we've even talked about it.
Dixie: We've talked about it, Tad. We've talked about it, and it gets us nowhere.
Tad: Why are you so willing to walk away from what we have?
Dixie: Well, why do you come charging over here like a maniac, banging on my door?
Tad: Your door? Your door?
Dixie: Why are we doing this, Tad? Why? Ok? Isn't it hard enough?
Tad: Why won't you listen to me? I swear to you, I am this close to nailing David. I am this close to getting all the proof I need.
Dixie: Just stop.
Tad: No, I can't! And I'm not going to. Every time I get close to the guy, he slithers away from me like some kind of snake.
Dixie, I can't believe you --
Dixie: We're not doing it. We're not doing it. We're not talking about it. We're not doing it. You have a problem. You're obsessed with David and me, and that's the end of the story, ok? Pull yourself together because I need to talk to you about something else, something important. We have to talk about Junior.
Tad: What about Junior?
Dixie: He is having a hard, hard time with this.
Tad: Did he say anything?
Dixie: No, he's not saying much of anything to me, certainly. He's distancing himself from me.
Tad: Well, he's probably very angry about David, which is fine. I just need to spend some time with him to calm him down, which is ok. This weekend, I can take him camping.
Dixie: No, you can't.
Tad: Yes, I can. It's the middle of his spring break.
Dixie: I know it's the middle of his spring break, but you can't because he's going away. He's going to the islands with Jamie and Brooke.
Tad: What?
Dixie: He's going to the islands with --
Tad: No, I know about that. I know about Jamie and Brooke. Nobody told me about Junior. Why didn't you tell me?
Dixie: Because I didn't think you needed to know.

Phil: So the Rave thing is basically a music and drug orgy?
Bianca: I think it's sort of like a big love-in.
Phil: It's like in the 1960s?
Bianca: Yeah, except they didn't have Ecstasy in the 1960s. But sort of the same. It's, like, probably a little louder and a little crazier.
Phil: Does anybody ever have one of these things without the drugs and the booze?
Bianca: I don't know, but I don't think that's the kind of Rave that those guys are interested in, you know?

Laura: Hey. What are we talking about?
Bianca: Raves.
Laura: Really? Wow. I thought you were the more solitary type.
Bianca: Laura.
Laura: Oh, I didn't mean that as an insult, Philomena.
Phil: I didn't take it as one. I am solitary.
Laura: Yeah, except when you're at work at Ryan Lavery's yacht.
Phil: Oh, that's just computer stuff, and it doesn't really feel like work to me, so --
Laura: Yeah, well, when you work, who do you work with more, Ryan or Leo?
Phil: Mostly Ryan. I hardly ever see Leo. In fact, I'm not actually sure what Leo does because I've never seen him actually do anything except eat.
Laura: Oh.
Phil: Why do you ask?

Shannon: Sorry, kids. Can I butt in for a minute?
Laura: Depends on how you behave.
Shannon: You are so sweet. Phil, sweetie, we have a deal, right?
Phil: What kind of deal?
Shannon: That lab report thing.
Phil: Oh, right. You're my lab partner. I forgot since you're never in the lab at the same time I am.
Shannon: About that -- see, I have so many plans during the break, I am not going to have, like, a second to think about that lab report we have to get in when we get back.
Phil: What's in this for me?
Shannon: I can get you into a Rave.
Phil: Really?
Shannon: Yep.
Phil: Not tempting.
Shannon: Ok. Name your price.
Phil: I could use a new scanner.
Shannon: Done.
Phil: Don't buy it without me, though. I know the one I want.
Shannon: Great. We'll shop. It'll be fab.

Laura: You cut these kinds of deals all the time?
Phil: No.
Bianca: You know, Phil, you don't have to let Shannon bully you.
Phil: I'm not being bullied. She's buying me a new scanner, and I need it. Look, our grades in the lab report are linked. It's a dumb system, I know, but I have to live by it. And there's no way I'm letting that flute-for-brains loser drag my GPA. down. I'm going to MIT. If it kills me.
Laura: M.I.T.? Man.
Phil: What?
Laura: Well, nothing. No. I'm just worried that I can't even slide into Pine Valley U this fall. You're talking MIT. I' m impressed. Where do you think Shannon wants to go to college, or does she even care?
Bianca: Probably somewhere with a big drug scene.
Laura: Are you still stuck on that?
Bianca, I told you -- E is no big deal. You're making too much of it. So, do we have a waiter here, or what? I'm starved.

Erica: Dimitri. If Alex didn't know who she was, how could she make that phone call to you? And why didn't she just tell you where she was? And anyway, couldn't you have gotten that information from caller ID and just gone over to the hospital and gotten her? And which hospital is she in, anyway? Is it local?
Dimitri: Erica, Alex was in a state of confusion. And as she started to remember, as she started to get better, she started to reach out. That is all that it was really about, really.
Erica: Well, then why didn't she just come home?
Dimitri: She wasn't ready.
Erica: But she is now?
Dimitri: Yeah, as I said.
Erica: What about Edmund?
Dimitri: What about Edmund?
Erica: Dimitri, you're very noble to stand by your wife, but she and Edmund obviously had something going there.
Dimitri: That is over with.
Erica: I see.
Dimitri: I love Alex, and Alex loves me. That's all I know, and that's all that really matters.
Erica: Well, then is there something that I can do to help smooth over her homecoming? I mean, you must face the fact that a lot of people are going to accuse her of having deserted you and home. And maybe I can smooth things over.
Dimitri: You want to do something that is helpful?
Erica: Yes, I do.
Dimitri: All right. Listen carefully.
Erica: All right.
Dimitri: Do not come to Wildwind for a visit until I tell you it's all right to come. Do you understand?
Erica: Actually, no. Dimitri: I need some time to be alone with Alex.
Erica: Oh.
Dimitri: Yes, yes, yes.
Erica: Then, obviously, I will provide you with whatever kind of space you need.
Dimitri: Thank you. Thank you very much. Oh, by the way, you did say you stopped by to see David here?
Erica: I certainly did, and he's very lucky that I found you instead.
Dimitri: Why is that?
Erica: Well, the man's beneath contempt, and I came here to tell him that.

Alex: Why can't you keep this to yourself?
David: Well, your sister's supposed to be dead, right? And I'm sure that there are family members, friends, people just like yourself that would love to learn about her miraculous return from beyond.
Alex: This is none of your business. You know that.
David: You know, speaking of business, our foundation is still on its feet, thanks to me. I think you owe me a little bit more than a superior attitude, Alex.
Alex: What do you want?
David: For starters, your husband and your brother-in-law -- they had the nerve to accuse me of having something to do with your disappearance. They slandered my good name.
Alex: Your good what?
David: And meanwhile, I was keeping up appearances at our office. I was answering phone calls daily about people wanting to talk to you about our work.
Alex: You loved every minute of it.
David: No, no, no, no, no. I was lying to people, telling them that I knew you would be back soon from wherever you were. And now you come at me full of all these demands, telling me that I have to keep secret about this?
Alex: We're in a crisis here, David.
David: All I know is that as a citizen to report your sister's existence to -- I don't know -- what, the FBI, Interpol?
Alex: No, you don't.
David: I cannot be involved in a cover-up, Alex. It just wouldn't be right.
Alex: You talk, I talk.
David: Excuse me?
Alex: I'm not the only one around here with a little secret, am I?

Bianca: Hey, Shannon, can I talk to you for a minute?
Shannon: Are you going to lecture to me about taking advantage of your little geeky friend Phil? I didn't twist her arm, if you noticed.
Bianca: Shannon, listen to me. The next time you decide to get wasted, you might want to keep it to yourself.
Shannon: Hmm?
Bianca: Shannon, you practically announced to the restaurant that you're high.
Shannon: So?
Bianca: So, you work for my mother. Your behavior is a reflection on her and Enchantment. I don't want you to embarrass her or her company, ok?
Shannon: Oh, this is good. From you, this is really good.
Bianca: What are you talking about?
Shannon: You're worried about me embarrassing your mom? This from the daughter who came out of the closet at the Crystal Ball in front of the whole town and reporters and photographers. Please. Get real, Bianca. No one can top that.

Tad: Are you telling me that I no longer have any say in Junior's life?
Dixie: I know you love him, Tad.
Tad: Yes. I do love him very much, and I don't want to lose him, too.
Dixie: I don't want that, either but I can't have you around him when you're acting this way. I'm not kidding. You're like a lunatic when it comes to David, ok? And until you calm down about it -- look, I want you to spend time with J.R. I do. And I hope that you and Brooke will allow me to spend time with Jamie because I want to spend time with him, too.
Tad: I can't stand this conversation.
Dixie: Well, I don't like it much, either.
Tad: Then why are we having it?
Dixie: Because when I look at you Tad, all I see is anger.
Tad: I am angry.
Dixie: At David.
Tad: Yes.
Dixie: Well, I can't listen to that anymore.
Tad: Well, I can't listen to you defend him.
Dixie: Well, then let's stop this.
Tad: I'd like to go over and say good-bye to the boys before they leave. That ok with you?
Dixie: Yes, of course it's ok.
Tad: Fine.

Alex: I know exactly what you've been hiding since the night I disappeared.
David: Look, I don't know what you think you know.
Alex: You're the one who put the Libidozone in the punch that night at the yacht party.
David: Bull.
Alex: I have proof.
David: You have nothing.
Alex: I have enough circumstantial information to ruin you. I saw you put the drug in your hip flask that night. Then I saw you take the same hip flask out at the party and try to spike someone's drink. Now, if I tell that story to -- oh -- anyone, you'll lose your license.
David: Forget me, Alex. That's nothing compared to you. What do you think you would lose when your secret gets out, huh?

Bianca: You know, I don't give a damn what you think about me or who I am, but I will not have you hurting or embarrassing my mother.
Shannon: This is such a lie. You're just jealous because I'm the new Ms. Young Enchantment and you're the gay black sheep.
Bianca: Listen to me, I never wanted that job, and I don't care that you have it. But if you're doing drugs, my mother will find out about it, and she is about as anti-drug as they come.
Shannon: She's a mother. They all are.
Bianca: Do they all have their own charities to fight teen addiction? Yeah, that's right, Shannon.
Shannon: Look. I do a little E. I'm not an addict, ok? Plus, she'll never find out unless somebody tells her. You won't tell her.
Bianca: You're pretty sure about that, huh?
Shannon: You can never prove it. Plus, you'd look like a moron for trying to get back at me for taking your mommy away from you. Just get over it, Bianca, ok?

Laura: Oh, hey, come here, come here. I want to tell everybody something. Hey, you guys, guess what. My mom is out of town all week. She's gone with Jamie and J.R. I have no Mom, no Aunt Phoebe, no curfew. You guys interested?
Heather: Yes!
Whoo! Party!

Brooke: I want you to cool it. I don't want those boys to see you like this, especially J.R. You know, he needs you to be the strong one.
Tad: I am trying to be the strong one. Why do you think I'm killing myself trying to string up Hayward by his ears?
Brooke: You have to stop going after David Hayward because it's killing you and it's killing your marriage and it's going to affect those kids sooner than you think. So why don't you just take yourself away from here for a while. Go on vacation and chill the hell out.
Oh, hi, guys. You look mostly ready.
Tad: Yeah, this is -- this is definitely the ensemble. How about you, J.R.? Are you ready? Yeah. Just so you know, snorkeling with sharks is a bad idea.
Jamie: Sharks?
Tad: Mm-hmm.
Jamie: Mom?
Brooke: There are no sharks in the pool.
Tad: Yeah, they're all at the bar. Sharks and barracudas are definitely out.
Jamie: Dad, you have to protect me.
Tad: No, you don't need protection. Your mom's there to protect you. She protects all of us. Even me.

Dimitri: Erica, I really do have to go. But since you give me advice so easily, I'm going to give you some advice, too.
Erica: What do you mean?
Dimitri: Forget about David Hayward.
Erica: Oh, I have. No, I'm just here to tell him that his behavior is completely unacceptable. He's ruined Tad's marriage to Dixie. I mean, I have never been a fan of hers, but I am fond of Tad. And there are children involved.
Dimitri: Mm-hmm. But why are you involved?
Erica: Because I feel responsible. Because obviously he's behaving this way because he's trying to get over me.
Dimitri: Well, whatever the reason, don't worry. David Hayward won't be around much longer.
Erica: What do you mean?
Dimitri: I -- I got to go.
Erica: Dimitri.
Dimitri I -- I got to go.

Alex: It's not just my sister's life that's at stake here, it's my entire family.
David: I don't care. I'm not going to let you ruin me to shut me up.
Alex: Oh, you -- don't you understand what this means?
David: Yes, Alex. It means that you keep your mouth shut about me and I keep my mouth shut about you. Period. Come on, don't look so wounded. It's a good deal, and you know it. So, are we on?
Alex: Yes, we're on.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN
