ALL MY CHILDREN

MARCH 19, 2001

Laura: I like this one.
Leo: Oh, yeah. So do I.
Laura: I think the lighting's good.
Leo: I like the light.
Laura: And the composition came out ok. Should we go with it?
Leo: Yeah, the lighting's great, the composition is perfect. I mean, what else could we want, right?
Laura: Ok. Should we move on?
Leo: Absolutely.
Laura: I think this is going real well, Leo.
Leo: You think so? I mean, yeah, these pictures are great.
Laura: Well, no, I meant you and me -- the way we're keeping things on a professional basis and not letting personal feelings get in the way of our work.
Leo: You think so?
Laura: I do. Don't you?
Leo: No.
Laura: What?
Leo: Laura, you're driving me crazy. I'm trying to fight it. I'm trying to ignore the scent of your perfume, the catch in your voice, the light in your eye, but I can't. My head is spinning. I'm -- I'm dizzy. I can't think about anything but you. Ever since I left your house the other night, I've tried not to remember how beautiful you looked and how it felt to hold you and to kiss you. Laura -- my God -- oh, to kiss you, Laura. I should've held you and loved you forever. I'm sorry. I can't stop feeling this way, no matter how hard I try.
Laura: Well, maybe you should just stop trying.
Leo: Do you mean that?
Laura: Maybe you should just shut up and kiss me.

Leo: Hello? Laura?
Laura: Huh?
Leo: I agree with you. I think that it's great that we can get past what happened. I'd hate to ruin a great professional relationship.

Edmund: Anna, just hang in there, ok? Just take it easy. Alex is on her way. She's going to help you.
Anna: Who's Alex?
Edmund: Your sister. Remember, your twin sister? You're here at her house with her husband, Dimitri.
Anna: Oh, yeah. Sorry.
Edmund: Oh, don't be. You're just disoriented.
Anna: You're so patient. You're so kind. I love you, Robert.

Joe: Security -- this is Dr. Martin. We've got a missing patient. Leslie Coulson. White female, early 30s, from ICU. I want a guard posted on every entrance and exit to this building. I want an immediate floor-by-floor search. Check every broom closet, every storage area until you find her. She cannot leave this hospital. And keep me informed.

Jake: Hey, what's going on here? You sound like there's -- where's Leslie?
Joe: She's missing.
Jake: Missing? How the hell could she get out of here?
Joe: I don't know how the hell she could get out of here. I've just ordered a search of the entire hospital.
Jake: Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait. She's on life support systems in a coma. She couldn't get up and just walk out.
Joe: No, she could not.
Jake: Somebody had to take her out of here. And there's only one person who would do that without authorization, and that's David Hayward.
Joe: Oh, wait.. Let's not jump to conclusions.
Jake: Well, who else do you think it could be, Dad? The man already tried to get me -- to have her sister take her off life support. I stopped that. Now he's done it himself.
Joe: You don't know that, Jake.
Jake: I do know that, and so do you and when you find Hayward, we're going to find Leslie.

Dixie: I want you to tell me the truth -- if Leslie knows something about you, if you let her fall off the balcony because of what she knows, if what she knows is that you are the one that put the Libidozone in the punch at the party. I just want you to tell me. Just tell me right now. Tell me.
Dixie: David?
David: They got to you, didn't they?
Dixie: Who?
David: The Martins -- Jake's constant attacks against me, Tad's paranoia, the old man standing right behind them. They finally succeeded in turning you against me.
Dixie: No, no.
David: I see it on your face, Dixie. I see it in your eyes. They got you believing their lies and their phony accusations, just like everybody else in this town.
Dixie: Why don't you just tell me?
David: Do you think I did those terrible things?
Dixie: Uh, no --
David: Just tell me the truth, Dixie. You believe them, not me.
Dixie: You want to know the truth? I don't know who to believe.

Laura: What?
Leo: You all right?
Laura: Yeah, I'm fine. Why?
Leo: I don't know. You look pale.
Laura: I'm not pale.
Leo: And flushed and out of breath.
Laura: I'm not out of breath. Can we just work?
Leo: You sure you're all right?
Laura: Yeah, Leo, I'm fine. Just look at the contact sheets, not at me.
Leo: Ok. Ok, ok.

[Door slams]

Ryan: Leo, I need to talk to you.
Leo: You got to see these pictures --
Ryan: Right now!
Leo: Uh -- can you give me a second?

Leo: What's up, partner?
Ryan: I spoke to the bank, and I asked them about the account that you were supposed to open for me. Guess what they told me?
Leo: There is no account.
Ryan: There is no account.
Leo: That's right.
Ryan: What happened?
Leo: You left the money in my incredibly capable hands.
Ryan: Do you know what that money was for?
Leo: Uh -- business investments?
Ryan: It was for my wedding, Leo, and my honeymoon. That's why I wanted it separate so it would be safe!
Leo: You didn't tell me that. I thought that it was --
Ryan: I didn't ask you to think. I asked you to open an account.
Leo: Well, you should've told me that it --
Ryan: I told you to open a separate account, and there is no separate account. So you tell me -- where the hell is the money?

Joe: I know David has a lot to lose if Leslie recovers.
Jake: Dad, he'll lose everything.
Joe: You don't really think, though, he would take a patient off life support? I mean, he did take the same oath the rest of us did. "First, do no harm."
Jake: I think that you know what his oath is worth -- the same as the rest of his lies. If Leslie talks, he's going to lose his license to practice medicine and whatever else he thinks in that twisted mind of his as far as his ever getting Dixie. Not to mention he could possibly go to jail the rest of his life. That's the reason why he browbeat her sister into taking her off life support when her condition's not even that bad to begin with.

Joe: This is Dr. Martin. I want to have Dr. Hayward report to ICU. Right away.

Greenlee: Jake. Ha! Thank God I found you. I have some papers on the loft I need you to sign.
Jake:: Yeah, yeah. Not now. Come out this way.
Greenlee: Hey, know what these are? Ha-ha! The keys to your new home.
Jake: Yeah. Thanks.
Greenlee: Not until we sign the papers.
Jake: Greenlee, I'm busy right now. I don't have time to sign papers --
Greenlee: Excuse me, I don't see any sick people around here, ok? I don't hear any alarms. You can give me five minutes and sign these papers.
Jake: I just told you I can't do it now.
Greenlee: This is important, too.
Jake: I know it's important, and I'll do it, all right? But I have some other business I need to finish here, and I'll call you when it's done, ok?

Pam: I've --
Jake: Oh, hey --
Pam: Brought some of Leslie's favorite music from when we were kids. I thought maybe that if she heard it she'd respond. Where is she? Is she all right? Was there a change in her condition?
Joe: I'm sorry to have to tell you this --
Pam: Oh, God, no. No. Joe: Oh, no, no, no. She's not -- no, no --
Jake: There's another problem.
Pam: What kind of problem? She's on all those monitors. Don't they tell you how she is?
Jake: She's not on the monitors.
Pam: I see that. Where is she?
Joe: We're not sure.
Pam: What does that mean?
Joe: We're searching the hospital right now, and I'm sure we'll find her very soon.
Pam: You lost her?
Greenlee: You're kidding.
Pam: How could you lose her?
Jake: Just take a couple of deep breaths and let me get you some water.
Pam: How could you lose her? She's in a coma.
Greenlee: People die of medical mishaps all the time. I've seen documentaries on it.

[Telephone rings]

Joe: Dr. Martin. Have you been able to get in touch with Dr. Hayward? Ok. Now, if he's left the hospital, page him. I want to see him right away.

David: I wish I went over that balcony instead of Leslie.
Dixie: Don't say that.
David: Why not? It's a hell of a lot better than knowing I've lost your trust. You're the only person who has had faith in me in this town, Dixie. I'd rather be dead than to know that they've turned you against me.
Dixie: You said yourself that Jake could be right, that subconsciously you could want Leslie dead.
David: Yeah, because she tried to kill you, because I care for you. Not because I'm trying to hide something.

[Pager beeps]

Dixie: Are you going to answer that?
David: I don't give a damn.
Dixie: They need you. You should answer it.
David: There are other doctors. Let the sanctimonious Martins take care of it. I mean, after all, they walk on water, don't they?
Dixie: This is not about them, David.
David: Yes, it is. It's about them convincing you that their lies about me are true. I can't believe this. You're the only thing that makes sense in my life, Dixie, the only thing that matters to me. And if I've lost you, I have lost everything. Have I lost you, Dixie?
Dixie: That depends.
David: Well, that's as good as a yes.
Dixie: It's not a yes. It's not a yes. Come on. I've fought the whole town for you. I've risked my marriage. I've upset my son. That's all been for you. So don't tell me that I'm not on your side.
David: All right. All right, I'm sorry, ok? It's just that you keep asking me these questions --
Dixie: And I just need to know the answer to them. I just need you to tell me that you didn't let Leslie fall, that you didn't want to take her off life support because there's something that she knew about you, that you didn't use her and that drug to break up my marriage to Tad. If you love me the way that you say you do, if you really want this to work out, then you will tell me the truth.

Alex: Bart's outside.
Edmund: Yeah, he's standing guard. He can't take it when she suffers like this.
Alex: What happened?
Edmund: She had another seizure.
Alex: Was it bad?
Edmund: It was pretty intense. She's still disoriented. She thought that I was her husband, Robert Scorpio.
Alex: She remembered him?
Edmund: Well, she called me by his name.
Alex: I didn't think she still had those memories. I thought they had all been wiped away by the illness.
Dimitri: Well, is that a good sign?
Alex: Yeah. Yeah, it could be.
Edmund: She's in pretty bad shape right now, Alex. I mean, she's sleeping, but she's burning up.
Alex: What, she had a fever? That's going to trigger another seizure. We have to get her to a hospital.

Ryan: Leo, what did you do with my money?
Leo: Just chill out. Everything -- everything's cool.
Ryan: I'll chill out when you answer the question. What about my money? It was for my honeymoon.
Leo: Don't worry. Everything is fine. Everything's under control. I mean, do you know what happens when you put money into banks these days? You don't even get a toaster. Now, you want your money to work for you, right?
Ryan: Are you trying to con me, Leo?
Leo: No! Come on, Ryan, no way. I mean, after everything you've done for me --
Ryan: Then where is it? Where is it?
Leo: Totally safe. Totally safe. If you want me to get it, I can get it for you right now, no problem.
Ryan: I want you to get it. I want you to get it --
Leo: Fine. Done. What sort of denominations?
Ryan: You have an hour.
Leo: Ok, ok. Ok. I'll be right back.

Laura: Hey, Leo, we didn't finish looking at this --
Gillian: Whoa. Where's he going like a rat out of hell?

Alex: We have to get her to a hospital immediately.
Edmund: Alex, we thought -- we agreed that it was too risky.
Alex: It's too risky to keep her here. I thought I could treat her myself, find the right combination of meds, but it's not working.
Dimitri: Alex, are you sure?
Alex: Yes. She's having seizures. She has a fever.
Edmund: There's nothing else you can give her?
Alex: I need to do a series of tests. I have to make an accurate diagnosis. I can't do that here. I have to go to a hospital.
Dimitri: And if the people who are trying to kill her find out where she is -- Alex: I'll be the one to kill her if I keep her here.
Edmund: Then we move her. But not to Pine Valley. Let's take her to Seaview. Less chance of her being recognized -- and you, too.
Alex: Ok. I'll make some calls from the house. You stay here with her, please. You contact me immediately if something changes.
Edmund: All right.
Edmund: It's ok.

David: I'm sorry, Dixie. You're right. I never should've put you in this position. And there are a lot of things that I shouldn't have done.
Dixie: What exactly are you talking about?
David: I love you so much, but look how I've shown it. I mean, I've put you at odds with your entire family, your friends, even your son. It -- I mean, it wasn't right.
Dixie: I made my own decisions.
David: Yeah, but you did that because you wanted to defend me. And I love you for that. I do. But I never should have let this get so far. I mean, I -- I should have protected you.
Dixie: But you don't need to protect me. I don't need protection. I don't. Ugh, you sound like Tad and everybody else in my life. "Poor little Dixie with her weak little heart. We can't let her get too upset or stressed out or feel anything at all." Even my son thinks he's got to protect me from you.
David: I've made a lot of mistakes. Maybe he's right.
Dixie: No, no, he's not right. I am the one who should be looking out for him. I have too many people trying to wrap me in a cocoon, David. I don't need it. If I needed that, I would have stayed home. If I was looking for security and safety, I wouldn't be here with you.
David: What, is that what this is all about, Dixie? I'm your rebellion? So what am I, some risky adventure? Taking a ride with the bad boy while you take a break from being super mom? Is that what you've been defending me for, Dixie? What, do you get a rush from being able to spit on the good people in this town, including your husband?

Vanessa: Leo. Leo: Mother, hi. Vanessa: Oh, but don't look so happy to see me, Darling. You'll break your face.
Leo: I'm just a little surprised. This place is hardly your style.
Vanessa: Yes, well, I did see you come in here, and I thought what better way to brighten my day than a little chat with my son.
Leo: Sounds delicious, but I'm actually waiting for somebody, so --
Vanessa: Oh, well, with money, I hope.
Leo: Yeah, you could say that.
Vanessa: Yes, well, aren't you going to get your mother a chair, Dear?
Leo: Sounds like you want more than a chat, Mother. Is there something specific you want to talk about?
Vanessa: Money.
Leo: Go figure.
Vanessa: Specifically about the money I loaned you to buy that condo with Greenlee.
Leo: Loaned me? As I recall, that was a gift.
Vanessa: Yes, well, it was a gift for a son that had cleverly made his mom so proud by snaring Greenlee Smythe and her trust fund but who has subsequently dumped her for some unfathomable reason to me. So it has now become a loan, which is payable on demand, and I'm demanding it.
Leo: Unbelievable. You want the money back that -- you're married to Master Megabucks, Mother. What the hell do you want with the pathetic amount that you gave me?
Vanessa: Look, Leo, I really do love Palmer and he loves me, but --
Leo: But -- oh, but he still hasn't put you in the will.
Vanessa: He will, Darling.
Leo: Yeah, and then you can arrange the -- the what -- the death-to-you-part bit, right?
Vanessa: Oh, come on, Leo. That is so cruel.
Leo: And accurate. I wish that I could help you, but that money's already tied up, so --
Vanessa: Leo, don't con me.
Leo: I'm not conning you. Really. I really, really wish that I could give you the money back so that we could settle accounts and part company.
Vanessa: Darling, sometimes you have the most outrageous sense of humor.
Leo: No, I mean it, Vanessa. I'm out. Ok? How many times do I got to tell you? Now, if you'll excuse me, there's somebody who I actually do want to talk to.

Vanessa: Very cute. But your mother knows you better than you even know yourself, Darling.

Stan: What's so urgent?
Leo: The last installment I gave you earlier today -- I need it back right away.
Stan: That's too bad.
Leo: Yeah, I know. Believe me, I know. Man, I wish that money could work wonders like the rest of the money Ryan and I gave you, but there's been some complications, so I need it back.
Stan: Wish I could help you, Leo.
Leo: What do you mean, Stan?
Stan: Hate to have to tell you this, but we have a problem.

Jake: You feel better? Here, maybe you ought to sit for just another minute or so --
Pam: I don't think so. I need to look for my sister.
Jake: Well, everyone is already doing that. The entire hospital is on alert right now.
Greenlee: There's a first.
Jake: Greenlee -- Pam, listen. I promise we're going to find your sister. I'm sure it was a mix-up where a nurse had ordered a test and thought it was for somebody else.
Pam: A nurse took her off life support? This speculation isn't very comforting. My sister's helpless, and you don't know where she is?
Jake: Well, this is extremely unusual for this hospital, believe me. And I'm sure that --
Pam: No, I don't believe you. Unusual things seem to happen here all the time. I've already been pressured by one of your doctors to end my sister's life because she's not going to recover, and then you say that he's wrong and that you can still treat her.
Jake: We can.
Pam: Not if you can't find her.
Greenlee: You know who would love this? The 6:00 News.
Jake: Greenlee -- this doesn't concern you. Please, stay out of it.
Pam: No, no, she's right. A story like this -- neglect and mismanagement at what's supposed to be a first-class hospital.
Jake: We are.
Pam: First-class screw-ups is what you are, and you'll pay for this, I swear. I'll get a lawyer, and I'll sue this butcher shop for every nickel it's worth.
Jake: Listen, you don't have to do that, Pam.
Pam: No, I don't have to, but I want to.
Jake: Pam --
Pam: And if anything has happened to my sister, if this has made her worse in any way, you will never practice medicine again, Doctor.
Jake: Pam --
Pam, wait, please. Come here.

Dixie: That is not fair.
David: I'm just asking the question, which you haven't answered.
Dixie: Oh, you haven't answered my question, either.
David: I will. I love you, Dixie. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But I need to know -- do you feel the same way?
Dixie: I'm not there yet. I'm -- I'm being honest with you. I'm trying to sort things out, you know. There's a lot of people in my life that I'm tied to right now.
David: I know that.
Dixie: But that doesn't mean that this is a fling. This is far from it. If I wanted to have one of those, don't you think I could've founded an easier way to do that? And this isn't some sort of, like, risky adventure either. Although I'm sure I wanted to stir things up a little, ok? And I'll think about that. I will. But one thing you have to know is that I have to make my own decisions. I don't need anyone to stand between me and the rest of the world.
David: I certainly understand that.
Dixie: Do you? Because it's why I need to hear an answer. If this is to go any further, I need to know that you trust me enough, that you respect me enough to know that I can handle the truth, whatever it is. That's the only way this has a chance of working, David.
David: All right, Dixie. I'll tell you the truth right now. I have done a lot of things that I'm not proud of. I've never denied that. But I did not let Leslie fall off of that balcony on purpose. And I did not try to shut her up at the hospital.
Dixie: And the Libidozone?
David: No. I did not put it in the punch. I swear. Can you believe me?
Dixie: I believe you. I believe you. I do. I believe you. Thank you. Thank you for telling me the truth.
David: Thank you.

[Pager beeps]

Dixie: That's the hospital. If they need you, you have to go.
David: But first I need to know that we're ok. Dixie: We're ok. We're ok.
David: All right. Good.

Joe: Where's Jake?
Greenlee: He went after Leslie's sister, who is totally shattered, by the way. She was talking lawyers and lawsuits.
Joe: Well, I'm sure it's very shocking for her. How is Pam?
Jake: Well, she's angry. She's obviously upset. I tried explaining this to her, but I don't think I got anywhere.
Joe: Greenlee says that she's talking about suing the hospital.
Jake: Well, let's just hope she'll calm down once we find Leslie. So, any word yet?
Joe: No, nothing.
Greenlee: Since there seems to be a break in the chaos, you think you could sign this purchase agreement?
Jake: Greenlee, Greenlee, I already told you, all right, you're going to wait till I get off duty, ok?

David: Joe --
Greenlee: This'll only take a minute.
Jake: This doesn't concern you.

David: I received the page, and the ER attending said there wasn't an emergency. Then the switchboard said it came from you.
Joe: Right. Excuse us, please, Greenlee.
Greenlee: You sure you don't want someone neutral , like, a referee?
Jake: Greenlee, if you don't stop this right now and get out of here, I'm not taking the loft. Now.
Greenlee: Ok. Promise you'll come by the and sign the papers.
Jake: Greenlee --
Greenlee: You have the keys! I'm gone.

David: Where's Leslie? Did somebody move her?
Jake: Don't even play dumb with us, David.
David: I generally leave that to you, Jake.
Joe: All right, all right,
please, keep it civilized. David: Keep what civilized? What's going on?
Jake: Where is she?
David: Who?
Jake: Leslie.
David: What are you talking about?
Jake: She's missing.
David: You're kidding?
Joe: She was removed from life support and taken out of this room sometime in the last hour.
David: Taken out? Where?
Jake: Where did you put her?
David: I have no idea where she is, Jake.
Jake: Oh, jeez -- you can't even get close to the truth with this guy.
David: Wait a minute. Let me understand this. Are you saying you don't know where Leslie is at all?
Joe: Yes, I'm saying that exactly, and we've searched the entire hospital.
David: Well, the woman is on life support, Joe.
Jake: Yeah, yeah, thank goodness, after we stopped you from trying to convince her sister to take her off. Is this your way of doing it, David?
David: Are you out of your mind? I saved the woman's life. Now you think I hijacked her? That's asinine even for you, Jake.

Dixie: Excuse me. What's going on?
David: They've lost Leslie Coulson. She's not in her room or any other room in the hospital, apparently. They don't know where she is, and they've decided that I must've taken her.

Edmund: Have some more water.
Anna: No.
Edmund: Have some more water. I promised Alex you wouldn't get dehydrated.
Anna: You'd do anything for her, wouldn't you? I'm sorry. Not quite as discreet as my sister. Or as easy to get along with, apparently.
Edmund: You don't say? Well, your sister and I didn't exactly hit it off right at the beginning, you know. We both had a lot of pain and a lot of loss. We lost people that we loved. But after a while, we -- we worked through that and we were able to heal.
Anna: And then Dimitri came back?
Edmund: And then Dimitri came back.
Anna: Everything changed.
Edmund: Everything turned out the way it was supposed to. I love them both. You know, there were two people in my life that I loved, two very special women. One was named Maria, and the other was Alex, your sister. I think two is a lot more than most men ever get.
Anna: Well, you're not dead yet. Maybe there'll be a third.
Edmund: I'm not looking for any miracles.
Anna: Very wise. They do happen, though.
Edmund: You've been one for Alex, you know. She didn't think she had a family until she found you.
Anna: If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't know that I had a husband or a daughter. As it is, they're little more than names to me. It's hard to believe that they were ever part of my life.
Edmund: They were. And they still are. I mean, you may not have memories, but you have feelings.
Anna: How's that?
Edmund: Well, you called me your husband, called me Robert after your last seizure.
Anna: I did?
Edmund: Yeah, you said I was your husband.
Anna: Oh, I'm so sorry.
Edmund: Why?
Anna: Well, I didn't mean to embarrass you. That's --
Edmund: Anna, there's a lot of things you can do, but you could never embarrass me.

Ryan: Ok, great. Thank you. Sorry about that. I had to take that call.
Gillian: So you're going to tell us why Leo ran out of here like that?
Ryan: Yeah -- I'd asked him to do something, which he forgot to do. So I guess he just figured he better get it done. That's why he ran out of here like a bat out of hell, not a rat.
Laura: Yeah, well, when's he coming back? We didn't get to finish choosing the shot.
Gillian: Hey, you know, why don't you let Ryan choose. He's got a great eye.
Ryan: Well, I must have a great eye. I chose you, didn't I?
Gillian: You know what? I have something to show you. I bought something for my trousseau. You want to see?
Ryan: Really? Will I be able to concentrate on work after you show me?
Gillian: I hope not.
Ryan: Don't get into anything --

Laura: When do I get to know what that's like?
Ryan: What?
Laura: To be crazy for someone who's crazy about me.
Ryan: It'll happen. It'll happen. Don't worry. Even with me and Gillian, there were times when I wasn't sure, where I flat out had no idea how to love her, pushed her away.
Laura: You did?
Ryan: Yeah. Sure I did. I was so lost, I didn't even know what I had in her. Actually took me losing her to make me realize that she was my life. And, believe me, it took a lot of work to get to where we are now.
Laura: Sometimes I feel like I don't even know where to look.
Ryan: Maybe right in front of you? Is that what you're hoping for?
Laura: Am I that transparent?
Ryan: Well, it's up to you and Leo.
Laura: I don't think so.
Ryan: Well, you'll know when it's right.
Laura: Yeah? What's that like, to know?
Ryan: Well, it's like you're safe, alive, and you final know what the world is all about.

Leo: I'm not hearing this, Stan. I'm not hearing any excuses or stories or anything. I just want the money back right now, ok?
Stan: I'm sorry, Leo. The money's gone.
Leo: Well, what do you mean, gone? Gone where?
Stan: The investment didn't work out the way I planned. The road to success is never smooth.
Leo: Don't give me that garbage. Don't tell me that I've lost thousands of dollars, then try to give me the wisdom of chairman Stan, ok?
Stan: I'm just trying to ease the pain. Have a beer --
Leo: I'll tell you how you're going to ease the pain. You're going to give me the money back that I gave you earlier today, and the rest of it, right now.
Stan: I can't do that, Leo. I'm tapped out myself. I lost a whole wad of my own cash on this deal. We'll come back --
Leo: What are you -- there is no "we." Stan, that money was not mine. That was Ryan's for his wedding. We have to give it back to him today.
Stan: I thought you said there's no we.
Leo: No, there is no we. It's just you who owes me, ok, and I don't care how you get it. I don't care if you have to sell one of your vital organs or put your sickly old mother out on the street. You're going to give me the money back.
Stan: I wish I could, Leo, believe me.
Leo: You lying thief. I'd kill you right now if I had the time.

Laura: Gillian's right. You've got a good eye.
Ryan: Well, you do nice work.
Laura: Thanks. And tell Leo I'll have the enlargements tomorrow.
Ryan: I will do that.
Laura: And thanks for the encouragement.
Ryan: Anytime.

Ryan: Ok, Princess. I'm all alone out here, and I'm getting more lonely by the minute.
Gillian: Why don't you put on some music to set the mood?
Ryan: Oh. What mood is that?
Gillian: Use your imagination.

[Music plays]

Ryan: Oh my --
Gillian: You know what these are? Remember how you told me that I could spend all the money I wanted? I got us two first-class tickets to Budapest.
Ryan: Only if you wear this on the plane.
Gillian: We're all alone.
Ryan: Well, Leo is supposed to be coming back here any second.
Gillian: I can't believe how lucky we got -- that he turned out to be such a great partner.
Ryan: Well, the jury is still out on that.

Anna: I envy you.
Edmund: That's because you probably still have a fever.
Anna: Yeah. No, you have something most people lack.
Edmund: A castle of my own?
Anna: You know who you are. You know what your life's about. You know your children.
Edmund: You'll know yours.
Anna: I wish I could believe that.
Edmund: Believe in Alex. She's a terrific doctor. She'll make you better.

[Footsteps]

Edmund: What's wrong?
Alex: Seaview hospital doesn't have the neurological equipment I need.
Edmund: So, what are we going to do now?
Dimitri: We're not sure.
Edmund: But we got to do something.
Alex: Obviously.
Edmund: Ok, all right, just forget --
Alex: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Edmund: Just tell us where we can get what you need.
Alex: The only hospital that has it is Pine Valley.
Dimitri: Yeah, thanks to the Andrassy Foundation.
Edmund: Then that's where we go.
Alex: We can't. It's too dangerous for her.
Dimitri: Wait, wait. There may be a way. Edmund?
Edmund: Trust us.

Dixie: Are you serious, Jake? You actually think David would kidnap an ICU patient?
Jake: There's no doubt in my mind.
Dixie: What about you, Joe? Do you believe this?
Joe: Right now I'm trying to concentrate on finding a patient, and all this accusing is not helping anybody.
Dixie: How could she be missing?
Joe: I don't know, but she is. And security has searched every inch of this building and found no trace of Leslie. And she's certainly not strong enough to check herself out.
Jake: Your friend here wanted to take her off life support. He couldn't get her sister to take her off, so he's just decided he'd do it for himself.
David: That's a lie.
Joe: All right, David. All right. I know how you can prove it. Tell us where you've been the last couple of hours.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Dimitri: I don't think you're going to have to impersonate Alex often.
Jake: Alex, what's wrong?

Ryan: What are you up to, Leo?

Leo: Are you sure you don't recognize me? I'm Ryan Lavery. You know, the Ryan Lavery.

David: Leslie?
