ALL MY CHILDREN

MARCH 5, 2001

Dimitri: Alex?
Alex: Yes, it's me.
Dimitri: Oh, my God, Alex. Oh, Honey, I never gave up hope. I never -- I never did. I knew I would see you again. I knew I would hold you again. I knew it. My God, Alex. So, we're about to meet your sister?
Alex: Oh, yes. This is Anna Devane.

Roger: Mary. May I get a word in? Being in the hospital is a ploy. Greenlee is fine. It is simply a bid for attention, and I refuse to be drawn in.

Greenlee: I look like Mike Tyson's sparring partner.
Jake: Well, those bruises will heal.
Greenlee: How am I going to explain this until they do?
Jake: Just tell the truth -- you had a fight with a basketball and the basketball won.
Greenlee: You're not helping. Does this building have a makeup counter? I'm going to need a bucket of concealer.
Jake: Well, the gift shop might have some lipstick. That's about it.
Greenlee: Lipstick won't cut it. I'm going to have to go into hiding. Did you come in here to give me my walking papers?
Jake: Greenlee, I said I was admitting you for observation. I already told you that.
Greenlee: And I told you that that would make me a lot worse.
Jake: Well, need I remind you that you have suffered a minor concussion and you've already lost consciousness twice?
Greenlee: Do I really have to stay in the hospital?
Jake: You could go home. But I want someone to keep an eye on you for the next 24 hours.
Greenlee: Well, I don't have anyone that could do that right now. I can take care of myself.
Jake: Now, that's not a good idea.
Greenlee: Come on, Jake. You don't want me taking up much-needed bed space. Oh.
Jake: Easy.
Greenlee: I'm fine, I'm fine, really.

Roger: Well, feeling better?
Greenlee: Much. But I'm going to need a chaperone before they'll spring me. Are you doing anything tonight, Daddy?

Woman: I've always liked the classics. Don't you have anything --
Opal: Oh, classics, my heinie. Here, take the Fabio. At least he'll keep your pacemaker pumping.
Woman: Well, thank you very much.

Erica: Opal? Hi.
Opal: Oh, hi, Erica. Are you ok?
Erica: Oh, of course I'm ok, sure. I'm here to visit someone. My accountant had a baby today.
Opal: Oh, isn't that nice.
Erica: Yeah. Well, I didn't know this is one of your volunteer days. I mean, we could've had a late supper together.
Opal: Well, frankly, I wasn't really in the mood to report for duty. I mean, I know you're having a time of it with Bianca, but this mama is crying over her book cart tonight.
Erica: What is it? What happened? Something wrong with Adrian?
Opal: Oh, no, Adrian's fine. I talked to him just the other day.
Erica: Well, then what is it, Opal?
Opal: Well, all's I can say is you'd better not be running into that ex-flame of yours.
Erica: Which one?
Opal: Hayward, the home-wrecker.
Erica: Home-wrecker?
Opal: Yeah, as God is my witness, if I am volunteering the next time he comes in here, I'm using this cart to leave skid marks on his face.

Dixie: This is ridiculous.
Tad: No. Leslie's got something on David. I'm sure of it.
Dixie: Tad, you actually trust this woman? This is the woman who kidnapped your stepson and almost threw your wife off the Chandler Building. What?
Tad: You've referred to yourself as my wife. I'm just kind of surprised to hear it. What the hell is this?
Dixie: Tad, what are we doing here? This is such a mess. How can you even give this woman the time of day?
Tad: Because it is a mess and Leslie wasn't in on it by herself.
Dixie: In on what? This whole thing with you and me and David and Leslie is tragic. You're turning it into some sort of organized plan.
Tad: Dixie, it was a plan. And when it went sour and David couldn't trust his little partner in crime anymore, he tried to kill her.
Dixie: Ok. Let's just get on with it, shall we? What are you looking for?
Tad: Proof. Proof that I'm right.
Tad: This has got to be a key to the desk. That's why Leslie sent I ox to her sister.
Dixie: And you would know, wouldn't you?
Tad: Don't, ok?
Dixie: I just can't believe I let you even talk me into coming here.
Tad: You came here because somewhere in the back of your mind, you at least have a shred of doubt about David.
Dixie: Well, actually, I don't.
Tad: Actually, you're here, aren't you?
Dixie: Yeah, in the office of your mistress, and it's giving me the creeps, so don't push it by assuming anything, ok?
Tad: Please don't call her that.
Dixie: What?
Tad: My mistress. I swear to you, Leslie meant nothing to me. She means nothing to me. Drawer's open.
Dixie: The magic key must open something else.
Tad: No. The lock's been jimmied. Somebody broke in here.
Dixie: Another mystery in this vast conspiracy.
Tad: Why don't you give me a break for a minute, ok, please? Just check the suitcase while I look through the rest of the desk.
Dixie: You're kidding, right? I'm already freaking out. You want me to go through your girlfriend's personal items?
Tad: Oh, I'm sorry. You know, you're absolutely right.
Dixie: No, no, no. No, please, please, let me. Jeez. Looks like she's moved in here.
Tad: Well, she was on the run. She probably used her office to come back and change.
Dixie: I'm done.
Tad: Did you find anything?
Dixie: Just her personal favorite possession.
Tad: Thank you.
Dixie: How can you blame David? How can you? This woman is deranged.
Tad: Dixie, it's here, ok? I know it's here. Whatever it is, we're just looking in the wrong place.
Dixie: Can you just listen to yourself? You don't even know what you're looking for.
Tad: No, I don't. But David does.
Dixie: What?
Tad: He's already been here.
Dixie: He's been here? Tad, how can you say that? He's -- who you calling? You know --

Tad: Hi, this is Tad Martin. Can I please talk to my brother Jake?

[Telephone rings]

Jake: This is Dr. Martin.
Tad: Yeah, it's me. Where's Hayward?
Jake: Oh, don't worry. He hasn't been anywhere near Leslie.
Tad: You've been watching him?
Jake: I didn't have to. Listen, I hate saying this, but he left the hospital with Dixie. And I overheard Dixie say she was taking him back to your house.
Tad: To the house?
Jake: Sorry, Tad. Leslie's condition's the same. Hayward hasn't been back since.
Tad: I'll talk to you later.

Tad: He was there, in our home?
Dixie: I was worried about him.
Tad: So you took him to our house?
Dixie: He was pale and he was sick and I was worried --
Tad: No, no, no, wait a minute -- so he was there already --
Dixie: Yes.
Tad: When I stopped by this evening?
Dixie: Yes, he was there, ok? I'm sorry. I'm not going to apologize for it.
Tad: My God!
Dixie: The man was wounded trying to save my life, ok? It was the least I could do.
Tad: Dixie, when are you going to wake up?
Dixie: What?
Tad: Don't you get it?
Dixie: Get what?
Tad: He heard us talking. He knew we were coming to Leslie's office and somehow he beat us here.
Dixie: That's impossible. He was weak, he was sick, he -- Tad: He would kill himself rather than let me get my hands on whatever was in that desk. Dixie: You don't know that.
Tad: I'd stake my life on it.

Erica: Opal, David and I are a thing of the past -- my choice. Isn't it a little bit late to be branding him as public enemy number one?
Opal: You'd better hang on to your hat and buckle your seat belt for this one, Tootsie.
Erica: What? Opal, what on earth?
Opal: David Hayward, that rat in snake's clothing, has destroyed Tad and Dixie's marriage.
Erica: How is that possible?
Opal: All's I know is that Dixie and David are giving the doctor-patient relationship new meaning.
Erica: David and Dixie?
Opal: Mm-hmm, in every way you would never want to imagine.

Jake: We keep anyone who's had a concussion at the hospital for observation.
Roger: For how long?
Jake: Just overnight.
Roger: Well, you see? That doesn't sound bad, Dear.
Greenlee: Not for you maybe.
Roger: Well, I'm sure they can arrange for some lovely private room.
Greenlee: That's not my point.
Roger: Well, then what's the problem?
Greenlee: Daddy, hospitals are not my favorite places in the world.
Roger: Well, Darling, I don't know anyone who likes being in a hospital.
Jake: Well, I think the best solution is for you to take Greenlee home with you.
Roger: My hotel room is hardly a home.
Greenlee: Well, you can come and stay with me at my loft.
Roger: In that -- that warehouse?
Greenlee: It's a loft, Daddy. I'll sleep on the couch.
Roger: Well, what about your grandparents'? You'd be much more comfortable at your grandparents'.
Greenlee: They're still in Bermuda.
Roger: Right. Right.
Jake: All right, all right, well, then it's settled. I'll work up the papers and discharge Greenlee to your care.
Roger: Fine. Well, I guess I'm stuck with you, then.

Erica: Oh, Opal, there must be some mistake.
Opal: Oh, believe me, I wish that were true.
Erica: Well, David and Dixie? Oh, my God. He must have been so heartbroken and desperate after I broke up with him. I mean, how could David turn to Dixie? And what about her? I mean, where is her loyalty?

Nurse: Opal, there's a patient in one of the cubes asking for a magazine.
Opal: What, this one over here?
Nurse: No, although Ms. Smythe did request something to read.
Erica: Greenlee Smythe?
Nurse: Yes, ma'am. Is she a friend of yours?
Erica: Oh, hardly. Don't you dare go wasting a minute on Greenlee Smythe.
Opal: Oh, don't worry, Miss Social Register isn't getting any special favors from me. I still can't get over it. I mean, she -- she could've actually killed Laura English, pushing her off Ryan's yacht that night.
Erica: And then she blackmailed Bianca about her private life.
Opal: She did not.
Erica: Oh, yes, she did because Bianca knew the truth about Laura. How dare that Greenlee Smythe involve my daughter in this and threaten Bianca.
Opal: Well, Honey, I'm sure that you will find a way to make her pay for that.
Erica: Oh, I will look forward to it.

Dimitri: So your sister didn't die in that boating accident.
Anna: Reports of my death were greatly exaggerated. Who said that anyway? You must be Dimitri. Nice to meet you.
Dimitri: It's nice to meet you, too.
Man: Alex?
Alex: Oh, he's on our side.
Edmund: Sorry. Hi, I'm --
Anna: Edmund. Edmund Grey. Yeah. Heard a lot about you.
Edmund: Don't believe a word of it. Alex, what do you mean by "our side" this time?
Man: Means we were getting along just fine till you two came along.
Alex: This is --
Man: Bart, and that's all you need to know.
Dimitri: Yeah, Bart met us at the front door with an iron poker.
Bart: It's lucky I didn't clock you with it.
Anna: Easy, Bart. This is Alex's family.
Bart: How do we know they weren't followed? People bring trouble, Anna.
Dimitri: I don't know what trouble you're talking about. We covered our backs the whole way here.
Edmund: Yeah, we realized that Alex was concerned about being traced.
Bart: So what.
Anna: I think we can trust them.
Bart: I don't trust anyone with your life, Anna.
Alex: You trusted me.
Bart: I was forced to. And I specifically didn't want anybody connected with you involved.
Anna: Hey, hey.
Bart: They're not professionals, Anna. It's just a man looking for his wife and his brother's along for the ride.
Edmund: You want to take that down a notch, there, Pal?
Bart: Or what?
Alex: That's enough.
Bart: You were reckless, Alex.
Dimitri: I told you, we covered our backs the whole way.
Bart: You overestimate yourself!
Anna: Stop it. Calm down.
Bart: Anna --
Anna: Oh, I know you're worried, but we had no right keeping her from her husband in the first place.
Alex: No, I wanted to help.
Anna: All right. But from what you've told me, you've spent more time losing your husband than you have loving him.
Alex: Yeah. That was a risk I was willing to take, though.
Anna: Oh, yes, I don't want you to -- not anymore.
Alex: Are you all right?
Anna: Yeah. All this excitement's got me feeling a bit weird.
Bart: You feel it's coming on?
Anna: No, I'm fine.
Alex: You should rest, though.
Anna: Will you stay with me till I fall asleep?
Bart: Of course. I always do.

Anna: Gentlemen.
Alex: Questions, anyone?
Edmund: Plenty, but they can wait.
Alex: Oh, no, you can't.
Dimitri: Alex, Alex, we've got to get you out of here. The jet is fueled and waiting. Edmund's calling Interpol to call off the search.
Alex: No! You can't call anyone.
.Dimitri: Alex, Alex, why, why? What's got Bart frothing at the mouth?
Alex: Whoever tried to kill Anna in that boat explosion would like to finish the job.
Dimitri: It's been years since then.
Alex: Yeah, and she survived. She was badly hurt, though.
Edmund: How did she make it?
Alex: Bart found her. He saved her. She had this serious head injury and she needed to go to the hospital, but he realized that they were being followed. So he kind of took matters into his own hands.
Dimitri: Is he a doctor?
Alex: No, I guess he had some kind of first-aid training from a stint in the air force. Anyway, at the time, it was enough.
Dimitri: Well, how's
her condition now? Alex: The explosion damaged a part of her brain. She has these trauma-induced seizure conditions and, um, long-term memory loss.
Edmund: Hmm. She's been living with this ever since?
Alex: Mm-hmm. Most of the time right here in this cottage. I mean, Bart doesn't let her out of his sight.
Dimitri: How often does she have the seizures?
Alex: That all depends. You know, if she remains calm, then she can go weeks without one. Recently, though, she's deteriorated.
Edmund: What about her memory?
Alex: She doesn't remember her past. She has these flashes and all the seizures, they affect her short-term memory as well, so she can't actually retain anything I tell her. She doesn't even have any emotional connection to it.
Dimitri: Well, is there any chance of her memory coming back again?
Alex: I don't know. That's hard to say without medical care. You know, all I've really been able to do is to stop her from hurting herself during the seizures. Which have been getting worse -- more severe, more frequent.
Dimitri: All right. All right, Alex, we have got to get her out of here.
Edmund: I agree. Alex, you think Charlotte may be behind this?
Alex: From a maximum-security prison?
Dimitri: Oh, I wouldn't underestimate her. Look what she did to you.
Alex: You know what? Oddly enough, in all of this, that's like the one bright spot.
Dimitri: How so?
Alex: Because she programmed me to be an expert on Anna. I know more about her life than she does.
Edmund: Does she remember her daughter?
Alex: Robin? No. No. It broke her heart when I told her. I mean, Anna has a life somewhere. She has people who knew her and loved her. And I want to help her get that back.
Dimitri: What about you? I've lost you twice already. I don't want to lose you again.

Opal: I hate to leave you, Honey, but I really got to continue my appointed rounds.
Erica: Well, don't worry about me, Opal. It's Tad that I'm concerned about. I mean, he must be devastated. And if you see him, would you --
Opal: I'll tell him you care, of course. And, Erica?
Erica: Yes?
Opal: I supported you, but I always knew that David was the devil in disguise.
Erica: I know.
Opal: So next time a man comes to sweep you off your feet, would you see to it that he doesn't have scales and a forked tongue? Oh, Lord. Bye-bye.
Erica: Bye.

Erica: Excuse me. I'm sure visiting hours are over by now. Would you see that Mrs. Foxworth gets this? She had a baby boy today.

Roger: Miss Kane?
Erica: Yes.
Roger: We met --
Erica: Oh, yes, at the Valley Inn.
Roger: And the park.
Erica: Yes, yes. Roger, isn't it?
Roger: I'm flattered you remember. It's a pleasure to see you again. Is everything all right?
Erica: Yes. I just received some rather shocking news.
Roger: Oh, I'm so sorry. I -- I hope they'll recover soon.
Erica: Oh, no, no, no one is ill. What about you? Are you ill?
Roger: No, actually, I just came to give blood.
Erica: Really?
Roger: Yeah, I try to do it every other month or so. It's my attempt at civic duty.
Erica: Well, I see. That's very generous of you.
Roger: Yeah. And you know what? The lab tech said that I should drink plenty of fluids. Would you like to keep me company while I do that?

Tad: Hayward!
Dixie: Tad, would you please get a hold of yourself?
Tad: Hayward, you get your slimy butt down here now!
Dixie: Your -- your paranoia is completely out of control!
Tad: I am not paranoid! How else could that stuff from her office have disappeared, ok? The only people on the planet that knew about it were you, me, and Pam, Leslie's sister.
Dixie: You don't know that. And besides, David has been upstairs asleep in the guest room all this time.

David: What's going on?
Dixie: David, I am so sorry.
Tad: How you feeling, Dave? Did you help yourself to something from the fridge?
David: No, actually, I've been sleeping.
Tad: Yeah? Was that before or after you broke into Leslie's office?
David: First of all, I've been completely out of it. And why would I want to go to Leslie's place in the first place?
Dixie: Listen, this is insane. He's been upstairs in bed the whole time.
Tad: Yeah, in my house. Now, let's not get started on that one, ok?
David: Dixie, look, I appreciate your thoughtfulness, but I told you I really should've just gone home.
Tad: By all means. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Dave.
David: I'm leaving.
Dixie: David, just wait a second, ok?
David: It's all right. Look, I think it's better for everybody involved.
Tad: Why are you sweating?
David: I didn't realize that I was.
Tad: Maybe it has something to do with your mad dash across town to Leslie's office. How'd you get in and out without us seeing you, huh?
Dixie: He is sweating because his wound is infected and he has a fever.
Tad: Yeah, apparently his wound is bleeding. You must have popped a couple stitches. That was some nap, Dave.
David: Well, maybe it happened when you just throttled me!
Tad: Oh, man. Unbelievable.
David: I don't need this.
Dixie: I'm so sorry.
David: Would you help me with this, please?
Dixie: I don't know what to say.
David: It's all right.
Dixie: I'm so sorry.

Tad: Yeah, that's right, work it, Baby, work it. Bravo. Author, author.

Dixie: Do me a favor -- will you please just go to the hospital and have them check your shoulder again?
David: I'll take care of it. Don't worry about it.
Tad: Yeah, I'm sure you will. You know something? You can't bat 1.000 Forever. Sooner or later, you're going to screw up. And when you do --
Dixie: I have had it, Tad.

Jake: Well, the scans look good. X-rays showed no bone damage.
Greenlee: Perfect inside and out. That's me. Can I go?
Jake: Oh, easy, easy. I want you to spend a quiet night at home with your Dad, all right? That means no dancing at the S.O.S., No movies, and definitely no basketball.
Greenlee: Yeah. My dad wouldn't know what to do with a basketball if he saw one.
Jake: Oh, well, so like father, like daughter.
Greenlee: Ha-ha. I'll be expecting your bill.

Greenlee: Daddy, you're just in time. Jake's setting me free.
Jake: Well, she needs, you know, to be looked after for the next couple of hours, and I have a prescription for her --
Roger: Listen, something's come up and I'm not going to be able to look after you tonight after all.
Greenlee: Why not?
Roger: Well, as I said, it's something --
Greenlee: Daddy, don't leave me here.
Roger: There are some business plans that I have to attend to.
Greenlee: Well, can't you change your plans? I hate staying in hospitals, even as a kid.
Roger: Haven't you gotten over that nonsense yet?
Greenlee: I guess not.
Roger: You're really going to have to deal with these irrational fears at some point, you know.
Greenlee: Well, does it have to be now, tonight? I thought we could order in and --
Roger: I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do. I'll check on you tomorrow. Take care of her, Doctor.
Jake: Well, someone has to.

Roger: Were you able to clear your schedule?
Erica: Oh, yes. It's not usually this flexible.
Roger: Good. Then you'll join me for a drink?
Erica: Well, how could I resist such a good Samaritan? Did you find your scarf in the blood bank?
Roger: No. Just have to buy another one. Shall we?

Alex: Nothing's going to stop me from coming back to you.
Dimitri: Well, Bart did a damn good job.
Alex: Oh, you have to know that night I left of my own free will. Though I never would have gone if I'd known he wasn't going to let me contact anyone.
Dimitri: Well, we assumed you'd been kidnapped.
Edmund: You assumed a lot worse than that, Dimi.
Alex: Did you think I was dead?
Edmund: He had a platoon of divers searching the water for your body.
Dimitri: Alex, what happened that night? I mean, how did you get off the yacht that fast?
Alex: Oh, I'd gone up onto the deck to look for Joe Martin about something else, and Bart came around the corner very desperate.
Dimitri: Well, must've scared the life out of you.
Alex: Yeah, he started to tell me this whole story. I didn't know whether to believe him or not.
Edmund: What made you believe him?
Alex: He produced this recent photo of Anna and then he described her condition. And I don't know whether you've seen, but there's something about his eyes.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, honest. A bit aggressive, but he doesn't lie.
Alex: No, he doesn't lie.
Edmund: How'd he find you?
Alex: How'd he find me? I guess he read an article and he realized I had to be Anna's sister and that I was a neurologist, so he figured he could trust me. He wouldn't let me go back in to the party to tell you where I was going, but I thought maybe I'd be able to call you once the launch got to the dock.
Dimitri: Yeah, and Bart stopped you from doing that.
Alex: Yeah. He's so afraid for Anna. He wouldn't let me call anyone. I knew you'd be worried to death.

[Edmund chuckles]

Edmund: That's an understatement. My brother lost his mind when you were missing.
Dimitri: All right, all right, I did some things I'm not proud of, especially where Edmund's concerned.
Edmund: Ahem.
Alex: What did you do?
Edmund: Let's just say he's got an overactive imagination.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I assumed that he was responsible for your disappearance.
Edmund: What's done is done.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, we were able to work though it. Right now I want to get you out of here.
Alex: I'm not leaving here without Anna.
Edmund: We'll take Anna to the hospital, ok, and try to find the people that love her.
Dimitri: Yeah, and you've got to come home to the people that love you.
Edmund: Listen, it's been a long time coming for you two. I'll -- I'll be outside.

Dimitri: Alex.
[Door closes]

Dimitri: Alex, I've missed you so much..
Alex: Oh, you feel so good.
Dimitri: You, too.
Alex: I dreamt about doing this every single day I was here.
Dimitri: Oh, Alex, Alex, please. When we get home, can we try living something like a normal life?
Alex: Would we even know how?
Dimitri: I can't tell you how I lost my mind. The -- the day they dragged the water for your body, I just -- I just started praying. I can't tell you how much I had to pray. It's the only way I could keep hoping you were still alive somewhere.
Alex: I'll never do this to you again, I promise.
Dimitri: Look what I've got.
Alex: Oh, you found it. I -- I dropped it on the dock, you know, as a sign, just in case.
Dimitri: Yeah, well, it must have fallen into the water. My heart stopped when the divers brought that up. Promise me something -- if there's ever a crisis, that we go through it --
Alex: We'll go through it together. I do promise you. Believe me, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Dimitri: Must've been incredible seeing Anna face to face.
Alex: Yeah. I kind of feel like she completes me in a way.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, like Edmund completes me.
Alex: You didn't really think he'd done something to me, did you?
Dimitri: Uh -- after I worked through it, we both thought David Hayward had to be involved. He was one of the last people to see you on the yacht.
Alex: Hmm. Well, it's true David doesn't have anything to do with this, but he's far from innocent.

David's voice: "You will find attached to this letter a sworn affidavit from Gordon Feimster, formerly a lab tech at Pine Valley Hospital. Mr. Feimster corroborates any and all evidence of David Hayward's criminal use of Libidozone."

David: Got to hand it to you, Leslie -- you certainly were a worthy opponent.
Erica: David.
David: Good evening, Erica.
Erica: David, I heard some rather disturbing news today.
David: About?
Erica: About you and -- and Dixie.
David: And?
Erica: Well, I don't know all the details, but it makes me very sad. I had no idea that you would be so desperate after we broke up.
David: Since you are the one that ended our relationship, Erica, my personal life is no longer your business.
Erica: Do you think that I can just watch you self-destruct and not care at all?
David: I'll be fine, Erica. I always am.
Erica: David, you're not fine. You're lost.

Tad: Where is your common sense? Can't you see that that man is lying?
Dixie: God, would you just let it go?
Tad: He is rotten to the core and you are falling all over yourself trying to defend him.
Dixie: Because I don't share your opinion.
Tad: Yeah, well, that's obvious, considering that now you're sneaking him into our home.
Dixie: I wasn't sneaking him into the home!
Tad: Well, when you -- when were you going to mention that he was here?
Dixie: Maybe when I could get a word in edgewise.
Tad: You could've said something about it at any time.
Dixie: And have you go ballistic?
Tad: Yeah, absolutely. You bet I would, and I would have every right. The man is tearing up our lives. What is it going to take? What do I have to do?
Dixie: Nothing! Nothing. There is nothing you can do, ok?
Tad: Oh, wow. At least you finally said it.
Dixie: I think that we should spend some time apart.
Tad: That's -- that's what we were doing.
Dixie: No, I think something more formal. I think that we should separate -- legally separate.
Tad: You want out of the marriage that bad?
Dixie: What I want is time.
Tad: Why? So you can be with him?
Tad: How can you do this? This whole thing is because of him.
Dixie: Everything is not because of David!
Tad: Well, then where is it coming from?
Dixie: Just think about it. Think about everything that we have been through in the past few months. Think about what it's done to us, to what we used to be. Think about what it's done to the kids -- to JR especially. Every day feels more destructive than the last,.. Ok, so we'll turn it around. You know, we can do that. We have to do that.
Dixie: What, and then just put the marriage back together? I don't think so. I don't have the first clue how to do that.
Tad: No, we can't do it -- not if we're apart. Dixie, we've got to do it together.
Dixie: No, no, I don't think so. I don't -- I just -- I don't think I even believe in it, us being together. I can go. I will go, ok? I'll go.
Tad: Where would you go? Where could you go? To him?
Dixie: No, I don't know. I haven't thought about it.
Tad: Don't. Don't bother. You stay. I can go. I'll find someplace else. I wouldn't even consider living here without you because I've staked my entire life on being your husband.
Dixie: Oh, stop it, would you? Keep your pain to yourself, ok? I have my own pain. I have enough of it I have to deal with, ok? I can't share yours on top of it!
Tad: Ok. You go wherever you have to, you do what you have to, you believe whatever you have to, but I know the truth. The truth is I love you and you love me.
Dixie: I -- I always have. I just can't be with you right now.
Tad: Ok. All right. Well, you don't have to be. You know, and when I walk out that door, you're probably going to be thinking how relieved you are to be out of the situation. But you know what I'm going to be thinking? You are my wife and I love you. And I'm never going to give up on that. Ever.

Jake: Greenlee? Hey.
Greenlee: Oh, hey.
Jake: Sorry to wake you.
Greenlee: It's impossible for me to sleep in this place.
Jake: Well, I may have an answer to that.
Greenlee: Copious amounts of sleeping pills?
Jake: No. You're coming home with me.
Greenlee: I beg your pardon?
Jake: Well, there's two doctors and a nurse at my house, so you can't ask for a better place.
Greenlee: Jake, you don't have to do this. And besides, someone like me going to the saintly Martin homestead? Probably get sick from all the creamy goodness.
Jake: Yeah. Well, you don't have to worry about that because we don't usually ask our guests to sing "Kumbaya" on their first visit.

Erica: Trust me, there was absolutely no reason for me to introduce you to that man.
Roger: Not one of your favorite people?
Erica: He could have been.

Roger: Oh. Well, then I hope I don't share the same fate.
Erica: Well, anyway, I couldn't possibly have made an introduction. I don't even know your last name.
Roger: Smith.
Erica: Well, it's certain simple enough.
Roger: Boring, but simple. So I assume that you and the unmentionable man were involved?
Erica: We shared a certain chemistry.
Roger: Well, then I have absolutely no sympathy for him whatsoever. Any man who would let you slip through his fingers must be a fool.

David: Burn, Leslie, burn. And may you never rise from the ashes.

Dimitri: Well, I was -- I was certain that Hayward had something to do with your disappearance.
Alex: No, no, he didn't have anything to do with it. But that was the reason I was on the deck in the first place was to talk to Joe Martin. Because I had seen David next to the punch bowl with a flask and I knew he had Libidozone on him.
Dimitri: So he did spike the punch?
Alex: Well, I'd say so, yeah.
Dimitri: I'd be certain about it. You should've seen all hell break loose after that.

Edmund: We've got trouble! There's a car about a quarter mile up the woods.
Dimitri: Get Anna and let's get out of here.
Alex: Anna? Anna?
Man: Suggest you stay where you are, Alex, or you'll lose your sister -- this time for good.

Laura: Are you attracted to me?

Greenlee: What wine goes with meat loaf, white or red?

Man: You came into this world minutes apart. Looks like you'll be checking out the same way.

Erica: Exactly who are you, Mr. Smith?
