ALL MY CHILDREN

MARCH 15, 2002

PREVIOUSLY ON - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: If anybody signs resignation papers today, it should be you.

Liza: I know exactly what you did, and I'm going to prove it.

Erica: Please keep what you just overheard to yourself.
Kendall: To protect you?

Simone: You could help me, and then you could spend a night or two at my place until you can figure out what to do next.

Greenlee: Read him his rights. I want to tell the DA I'll testify against him.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Simone: I own too much stuff. Are you sure you're cool with being here in this building?
Leo: Well, it doesn't sound like I have much choice. It's either your couch or the park bench.
Simone: Well, you're awfully laid back for moving into your ex-fiancée's apartment house. I mean, even if it's temporary. I mean, I'd be bouncing off the walls.
Leo: Well, I'm going to run into Greenlee at some point, and I don't give a damn if it's here or someplace else.

Greenlee: Where's Mateo?
Bartender: He went on vacation with his wife.
Greenlee: Damn it. Ok, was someone in here looking for Mateo? It'd be a guy in his -- I don't know -- early 50s.
Roger: Hello, Greenlee. How did you know I was looking for Mateo?
Greenlee: They told me at the police station.
Roger: Oh. So you did go down and testify against me? So now what? You going to start screaming at me again?

Kendall: You're going to have to trust me, Erica. You really don't have much choice.
Erica: Trust you? Only if I had lost my mind.
Kendall: Way to shoot yourself in the foot. That's not going to get my cooperation.
Erica: Kendall, just promise me that you will not tell Chris that I'm the one who brought Dr. Stannart here to treat him. Please, Kendall. Please don't risk his recuperation just because you want to get even with me. Oh, don't.

Liza: Excuse me. I need some help. This year!
Nurse: What can I do for you?
Liza: The ER sent me up here because they said I could get my test results faster.
Nurse: What test would that be for?
Liza: For drugs. Someone slipped something into my tea, and I need to know what it was.

David: Here is my evidence against Joe Martin. This is a record of Joe's visits to his cardiologist. Multiple visits since his heart attack.
Jake: How the hell did you get a hold of that?
David: In it is a recommendation from his doctor advising him to cut back on his workload. Duty rosters indicating that, yes, indeed, Joe has been cutting back on his hours, a fact that he's neglected to share with the board. Joe has been delegating his work to his staff since Christmas of last year. And he's taken 11 personal and sick days since January.
Jake: No, see, this is the lack of ethics that this man has. These are personal files, and he had no right to go through them or even come up with any kind of accusations based upon my father's --
David: Right, Jake, it's unethical, right? It's unethical, just like you breaking into not one but two of my offices and reading my own personal files. But of course, that's what everybody wants to forget, right?
Jake: I can explain exactly why I went in there and --
David: And I can, too. When I do it, it's unethical. When you do it, you get a free pass.
Jake: No, what you did and what you're doing here is even further indication that you are unfit to continue working at this hospital!
David: Oh, please, please -- just spare me the self-righteous lecture, ok? What I'm indicating here is that Dr. Martin has been colluding with his staff to keep his heart condition under wraps.
Jake: What the hell are you talking about? My father has never colluded with anyone in his life!
Palmer: Jake, would you just calm down, please?
David: I don't give a damn. I don't give a damn if you think he walks on water, Jake. The fact is this -- your father is no longer equipped to run this hospital.
Joe: So, tell us, David -- what is it that you want?
David: I want your job, Joe.
Jake: You know, Hayward, I always knew that you were arrogant and gutless, but even for you, this is outrageous.
David: This board owes me. And not just because of the honors that I brought to this hospital.
Jake: And the scandals.
David: You were all prepared to hold me accountable for my mother's crimes without even looking at the facts.
Man: David, she did use her money to further your career.
David: So you're ready to denigrate everything I've done, all my hard work, and say that I've gotten here because, without my knowledge, my mother funded my care with drug money?
Woman: And are you saying that shouldn't weigh with this board?
David: What I'm saying is that every day for that last four years, I have been in that OR saving lives, ok? It's been my research that has produced the new surgical procedures, the new drug treatments that have given this hospital such high profile.
Jake: Wait, wait, wait. Is there anything that you haven't taken credit for?
David: Look, I know that I'm not liked, ok? My entire career, people have attacked me because I'm ambitious and I'm successful.
Jake: And a felon.
David: But the point is this -- I save lives. That's what I do, all right? I mean, that's what we're here for, right? That's what this is all about. Well, I'm doing it. And while decent, good Joe Martin, whom you all love, is taking sick days and passing his workload over to his staff, I am saving lives.
Jake: You can go to hell, Hayward.
David: And Joe hasn't even answered for the fact that one of his board members is married to this international drug trafficker.
Jake: Who happens to be your mother, for God's sake!
David: Joe and his two sons have launched an attack against me for years, and it's simply because they don't like me. They don't like my style. Who gives a damn? I mean, there are people walking the streets today because I kept them alive. Now, isn't that what this whole hospital is supposed to be about?
Jake: That's right. That's exactly what it is because of my father. And you can take your style or whatever evidence that you brought --
Joe: Jake -- Jake --
Jake: And you can shove it, Hayward!
Joe: Jake --
Jake: No, he's not going to get away with this.
Joe: Settle down, Jake. He's got a point.

Kendall: Hello, Myrtle. May I come in?
Myrtle: What do you want, Kendall?
Kendall: Let me in and I'll tell you.
Myrtle: Ok. Don't take your jacket off. You're not staying.
Kendall: Fine, I'll make it fast. Chris Stamp will be released from the hospital any day now, and he's going to need some help.
Myrtle: I know.
Kendall: Well, the guy has this retro macho thing going on, and he'd rather have a root canal than ask for help, but he's going to need it.
Myrtle: What's it got to do with you, Honey?
Kendall: We've done a little bonding.
Myrtle: You and Chris?
Kendall: I'm good for him, Myrtle. I got him to open up. I got him to lighten up.
Myrtle: Are you trying to tell me you did this out of the goodness of your heart?
Kendall: I'm close with his son, Ryan. I don't know if you know this, but --
Myrtle: Yeah, Chris is Ryan's son. I did hear
. Kendall: Anyway, the plan is I'll be kind of undercover and I'll be watching out for Chris, but he won't know he's getting help he didn't ask for.
Myrtle: You are going to help him with his rehab?
Kendall: Well, he'll have hospital types with degrees for that, but they'll need someone for other stuff -- you know, run errands, that sort of thing. And I do make him laugh. So? What do you think?
Myrtle: I think it's rubbish. Kendall: I know what
you think of me, and I know you have your reasons.
Myrtle: And you think I should ignore my reasons?
Kendall: This would be good for Chris, and me. You'd be giving me a shot at doing something good, Myrtle. Couldn't you do that?

Erica: Kendall's not here?
Chris: I thought I made myself clear. I don't want to talk to you.
Erica: Oh, yes. You made yourself clear. And actually, after what I'm about to tell you, I'm sure you won't change your mind. In fact, you're probably never going to want to speak to me again. So what have I got to lose?
Chris: Excuse me, are you trying to tell me that I'm about to get some truth from you?
Erica: Oh, come on, Chris, don't be like that.
Chris: Well, you got to admit, that will be a change of pace.
Erica: I'm the one who found Dr. Stannart in Geneva and had him flown here. I paid his way, I made all the arrangements, and I asked the doctor not to tell you that I did it.
Chris: You asked my doctor to lie to me?
Erica: Yes.
Chris: Thanks for clearing that up.
Erica: That's it? That's all you're going to say?
Chris: What, you expect me to act surprised? It's classic Erica Kane -- do what you have to do to get what you want. Lie, scheme, manipulate --
Erica: Now, you just wait a minute. Because the last time I looked, you moved your legs and you had a good prognosis. And if you wouldn't just keep hanging out in this bed and feeling sorry for yourself and get to rehab, you might actually --
Chris: Look, I'm not trying to -- I'm not feeling sorry for myself!
Erica: Of course you are. And you'd still be whining in this bed if I hadn't gotten this doctor here and schemed to get the doctor here for you. You owe me a huge thank-you. And I am still waiting for it.
Chris: I'm still waiting for the real reason why you came here to come clean with me.

Simone: Will you look at all this stuff.
Leo: What's so funny?
Simone: I'm moving all of the things I own into a loft that I totally cannot afford.
Leo: Sounds like my life.
Simone: Oh, I signed this lease when I had a steady gig at "Tempo." My father loaned me money for the deposit. I even set up a six-month payback plan.
Leo: Wow, very responsible.
Simone: Yeah, but you know what? If we don't come up with a way to make to make some fast cash, next month, I'm going to be asking you to help me move all this stuff out of here.
Leo: Well, you're a writer, right?
Simone: Yeah.
Leo: So writers write.
Simone: Yeah, but see, the tricky thing is getting someone to pay you to write. I mean, Brooke, Edmund, yes, have been absolutely amazing with me. I mean, letting me stay on to freelance. I mean, they should have fired my butt. But, no, they didn't. And I -- I mean, I practically got people killed. I wound up, you know, feeding information to Proteus. Gosh. Stupid. Oh, Leo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to start in on your mother again. I --
Leo: No, no, you did investigate her, right?
Simone: Yeah. I mean, but if you're thinking --
Leo: No, no, what I'm thinking is that you fell for a con because you wanted to get a book deal, right?
Simone: Yeah.
Leo: So what if you really did get a book deal?
Simone: Six-figure book deals don't just fall out of the sky, Leo. I already learned that one. Besides, I don't have a book to sell.
Leo: Yet.
Simone: I don't even know if I could write one. I mean, I thought I could. But, I mean -- I don't know. I'm in doubt now.
Leo: Ok, well, why don't you just start with what you know, ok? Do a "60 Minutes" on Mateo, and then move on to the other players. Write it up. What do you got to lose?

Roger: It's club soda. Go ahead, see for yourself.
Greenlee: How did you get out of jail?
Roger: I thought you took care of that.
Greenlee: By the time I got to the police station, you were gone.
Roger: Well, my bail was paid for. Some attorney took care of it I had never heard of before. I just figured the only person who would do that kind of thing for me would be you.
Greenlee: Daddy, I'm so glad I found you.
Roger: Honey, I'm so sorry --
Greenlee: No, don't, don't, don't, don't. After they arrested you, I talked to Mateo. He made me understand what you were going through, what Proteus did to people.
Roger: Well, Mateo would certainly know all about that.
Greenlee: He told me about the threats. Proteus would say his children were going to die if Mateo didn't follow orders. He said you were trapped for the same reasons. You were protecting me from murderers.
Roger: Greenlee --
Greenlee: No, I owe you so much. And I want to make up for all the terrible things that I said to you.
Roger: Honey, I just don't want anything to happen to you. I don't want you to be hurt anymore.
Greenlee: We've lost so much time, haven't we?
Roger: I almost lost so much more than that. If Vanessa had managed to -- if anything had happened to you, I don't know what I would have done. You're still my little girl. You always will be.
Greenlee: Thanks.
Roger: You know, I know it's late and I've managed to screw this up every time I've tried, but I would like to be a father to you. Will you let me do that?
Greenlee: I'm going to help you.
Roger: No, Honey, you don't have to.
Greenlee: No, I'm going to make sure you're cleared of whatever charges they drum against you. You were a victim, for God's sake.
Roger: We'll see what the DA comes up with.
Greenlee: I'm not going to lose you again. I've been running around this town for the last 24 hours feeling lost and alone and --
Roger: Baby, I'm so sorry.
Greenlee: And like there was nothing to hang on to. I would have grabbed at anything. Then I found you here, and -- so much better than what I thought I wanted.
Roger: Sorry you've had a hard time with Jake and Leo. You know, I'm a couple of beats behind here. Which one didn't you want to lose?
Greenlee: I don't want to talk about it.

Erica: I told you about Dr. Stannart because Kendall found out what I had done and I was so afraid that she was going to tell you before I had a chance to. And, Chris, I don't want you caught up in the middle of some revenge plot of Kendall's.
Chris: So it wasn't about you coming here to tell me the truth.
Erica: Of course it is. I'm here, and I told you the truth, didn't I? Look, who cares? You want to walk, don't you?
Chris: Yes, I want to walk. But if I wanted your help, I --
Erica: You never would have asked me for it. So I gave it to you anyway, ok? So sue me. I mean, sometimes people do that. They don't wait to be asked for help, they just give it. Is that all right with you?
Chris: Look, I'm just trying to make my point -- that you do whatever it takes to get what you want.
Erica: What I wanted was for your own good.
Chris: You do not decide that.
Erica: So you wish I hadn't done it?
Chris: No, no, I'm not saying that. You're not listening to what I'm saying.
Erica: Listen, closing off to someone who's trying to hp you is a good way to wind up alone. I mean, why don't you ask your son, Ryan.
Chris: You leave him out of this.
Erica: No, you take a good look at him, Chris, because that is one apple that fell directly next to the tree.
Chris: Well, since we're talking about kids -- obviously, you aren't the kind of judge of character you think you are.
Erica: Yes, I am. I'm a great judge of character.
Chris: Not about Kendall. You were scared to death that she was going to come over here and rat you out, weren't you? She didn't.
Erica: She could have.
Chris: Look, you -- you're wrong. Just admit it, you're wrong.

Myrtle: I know I've got the reputation for giving people a second chance.
Kendall: That's why I'm here.
Myrtle: I try to be fair, but I am not a fool. Now, you close that door on your way out.
Kendall: Damn it.

Bianca: Kendall.
Kendall: Bianca. I -- I didn't know you were here.
Bianca: It's a good idea -- you taking care of Chris.
Kendall: Myrtle doesn't agree with you.
Bianca: Myrtle and probably everybody else. People don't trust you.
Kendall: But you do?
Bianca: I think that you would be good for Chris. He's tough, and you give as good as you get.
Kendall: Do you really think that?
Bianca: Why? Do I have some reason to suck up to you?
Kendall: Well, Myrtle basically turned me down just now.
Bianca: Yeah, I heard.
Kendall: What would I owe you? I mean, what would it take for you to -- would you help me convince her to give me my own room here?

Joe: He's right.
Jake: No. Dad, listen -- you just don't let him do this to you.
Joe: Son -- son -- believe me, it's true. I wish it hadn't happened this way, but it is true. The job has become too much for me.
Jake: You're going to pay, Hayward.
Joe: And I've had to keep on pushing myself all the time. Ruth has been all over me about it.
Jake: Then you just cut back. There's no reason for you to step down.
Joe: Oh, I don't know. I think -- I think it's better this way. I think it's better for the hospital, better for me.
Palmer: Joe.
Joe: Yeah?
Palmer: Joe, are you really serious about this?
Joe: Yes, Palmer. Yes, I am. I have been thinking about it, and I'm only sorry that I haven't given more warning to the board. Naturally, I won't be recommending our friend here as my successor, but, yes, yes, I will be resigning, effective immediately.
David: I'll be expecting to hear from the board ASAP. I think it'll be advantageous to everybody concerned if I have a smooth transition of my new administration. Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's been -- it's been a slice.

David: I've got it. You're looking at the new chief of staff.
Anna: Yeah, it seems that way. A little unexpected. I have something that I need to do.
David: Well, wait, wait. I want to celebrate with my new wife.
Anna: I'll find you.
David: Where are you going?
Anna: To take care of my own business.

Jake: If you do this, if you accept my father's resignation and put Hayward in as chief of staff, I'm out of here.
Man: Jake, is that a threat?
Jake: You're damn right it's a threat. You put Hayward in here as chief of staff, half the doctors in this hospital are going to walk right out with me. It's your call.
Palmer: Jake -- Jake, I mean, do we really have a choice? Joe has said that he can no longer go on as chief of staff. Well, we need someone tonight. If it isn't David, then who is it?
Joe: There is another choice.

Liza: You know, I really hate to do this to you. Excuse me -- I really hate to do this to you, but it was the only way that I was able to get results down in the ER. You see, my husband is Adam Chandler. He's a huge benefactor of this hospital.
Nurse: I know who you are, and I'm doing everything I can to speed up the lab work. Perhaps I could be more of a help if you could tell me what you think you were drugged with.
Liza: I don't know. That's why I'm here -- to find out.

Nurse: Excuse me. Did things go well in there?
David: Better than I could have hoped for, Elizabeth. Thank you. What's going on with her?
Elizabeth: She came in for some tests. She thinks someone may have drugged some tea she drank.
David: Really?
Elizabeth: Yeah, she's been driving us all crazy.
Nurse: Mrs. Chandler's results are back from the lab.
David: And?
Nurse: She's clean for drugs.
David: Oh, no, no, no. That's -- that's ok. I'll take care of it.
Nurse: Ok.

David: Liza.
Liza: I'm getting a test done, David. I don't want to start anything with you.
David: Yeah, yeah, I know. I have your test results. They came back clean. Your blood work came back negative for drug traces. Is there anything I can do for you?
Liza: Other than what you've done? I doubt it.
David: Liza, listen -- I've been thinking about you lately, and I was hoping that maybe we could get together. For lunch? Say, early next week?

Leo: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What is this? Decide to go for another round of the pain game with Daddy-O the second you don't have a boyfriend around to protect you, Greens?
Greenlee: Like you ever protected me in either of the two incarnations I guess we've got to call our relationship.
Leo: Oh, no, I never did anything to protect you, did I?
Greenlee: I went through hell because your freaking mother tried to kill me. And the only thing you did was make me feel like I had done something wrong.
Leo: Yeah, well, that's certainly an interesting way to look at it. Hello. You chose Jake.
Greenlee: I didn't choose Jake. I was chosen by your psycho mother to be buried at sea with Jake. And after all that, what did you do? You dumped me.
Leo: Oh, that is so not --
Greenlee: And now you're going off on me because I'm with my own father? You're already out partying.
Leo: Well, you're in love with two people, so --
Greenlee: Well, we've been broken up for, what, 2 1/2 minutes, and you're already trolling for dates?
Leo: I haven't been trolling for dates.
Greenlee: Then why is the town pariah glued to your side?
Simone: Hey!
Leo: Hey, what about you? Your fiancée says good-bye, your backup boy takes a hike, and where's the first place you go? Back to the screw up who made you what you are today. And you say that I'm hung up on my mother? Oh, you've got to be --
[Greenlee slaps Leo]
Greenlee: I'm sorry. But you shouldn't have said that. I watched you choose your mother over me, over everyone you cared about, even choose her over yourself. And you did it time and again.
Leo: My mother wasn't the problem, Greenlee. Well, not all of it.
Greenlee: Most of it. Look at us. We're saying and doing things to each other that we'd never thought we'd say or do.
Leo: We got angry. It got out of control.
Greenlee: No. You gave Vanessa the benefit of the doubt so many times. And every time she broke your heart and every time you went back for more. But me? I gave you all the love I had, and you went on to someone else. And that still hurts even though it's not supposed to. I'm supposed to be past it.
Leo: I know.
Greenlee: I'm not past it. And I know I've got to stop this because it's turning me into someone I don't like. And if you can't end it, I will.
Leo: Just like that?
Greenlee: Not just like that. You're in my system, but I'll burn that off.
Leo: So you are done with me?
Greenlee: I have to be.
Greenlee: Please stay away from me, Leo. It's just the one last thing that I ask of you. Help me let you go.

[To Roger - - - ]
Greenlee: I'll call you tomorrow.

Bianca: I don't buy it. Helping Chris is not going to help you win any points with Ryan. And if you know him, you know that.
Kendall: Ok. I had a moment of truth. I suddenly realized I had to go forth and do good. There might have been a little white light involved.
Bianca: Kendall, don't believe your own press. You're just like everybody else. You want people to approve of you and to accept you.
Kendall: Is that what you want?
Bianca: All my life.
Kendall: What was it like being in love with someone that you knew Erica would freak out about? You and Frankie must have had a really special relationship. Oh, was that the wrong thing to say?
Bianca: No. It's just even when I find someone who is willing to talk about me and Frankie as a couple, usually they get a little weird because she died.
Kendall: Well, I'm not real sensitive. So, what -- what was she like? I mean, her sister seems real tough. Was Frankie?
Bianca: Yeah, Frankie was. And she wasn't. I mean, on the outside, she was all attitude. But inside --
Kendall: Mush.
Bianca: Right. She was really gentle. And really, really vulnerable. I mean, I never met anybody who needed to be taken care of as much as Frankie.
Kendall: Well, she came to the right place.
Bianca: Me?
Kendall: Don't you believe your own press, either.
Bianca: I -- I don't. I'm just surprised that somebody gets that I'm not poor, helpless, fragile Bianca.
Kendall: Did Frankie?
Bianca: She was starting to. I was trying to get her to feel safe so that she'd open up to me. I wanted to see if she could. I wanted that a lot.
Kendall: I'm sorry you never got that.
Bianca: Thanks.

Myrtle: Are you still here? Is she bothering you?
Bianca: No, she's not, Myrtle. Do you mind? Can I talk to you in private for a minute? You don't mind hanging out, right?
Kendall: No.
Bianca: We'll just be a second.
Kendall: Ok.
Myrtle: I forgot to lock up the silver.

Kendall: I wonder if it'll work.

Anna: Hi. How are you? Any more feeling in your legs? Ok, good. Well, I'm not up for a chat, either. So, Stamp, you owe me. We had a deal, remember?
Chris: We did?
Anna: Yeah -- no, don't. You promised me that you were going to pull every string you had to get me the job of chief of police if I helped bring down Proteus.
Chris: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah -- that deal.
Anna: Yeah, well, I held up my end of the bargain.
Chris: Oh, you weren't that cooperative during my investigation.
Anna: Because you kept going after David even when I told you that was ludicrous. And now, as we see, I was right.
Chris: No, no, no, no. Eventually, you were right, but at the very beginning, you weren't right.
Anna: No, I was right. Don't start revising history. You know, I risked a hell of a lot because of what you promised me. Now, I swear, if you try to weasel out of this deal, I will come after you so hard --
Chris: You know, if you keep this up, I'm going to call the mayor and tell him to pull the plug on the deal.
Anna: You talked to the mayor?
Chris: 10 Minutes ago.
Anna: What deal? Chris: You know, the one where he calls you on the phone and he asks you if you want to be the chief of police for Pine Valley. Well, you can say "thank you" now.
Anna: Thank you now.
Chris: Don't screw it up.
Anna: No, I won't. Honestly, I want this. You're going to lay off David?
Chris: Oh, man, why do you keep defending that guy?
Anna: Well, I don't ink I'm going to give up on him any time soon.
Chris: Why is it always the smart ones that get hooked?
Anna: Hey. Watch it. Thank you, Chris.
Chris: Good luck, Devane.
Anna: See you around.
Chris: Not if I see you first.

[Chris calls someone on the phone]
Chris: Yeah, this is Agent Stamp. I want to see you. Now would be good. Because it's important, that's why.

Joe: So, how you doing?
Jake: You know, this is not exactly the way that I wanted to see you go into retirement. After everything you've done in your career, after all the accomplishments that you've made, to see you forced out by this blackmailing, lying --
Joe: Look, know, I know, I know. But actually, he did me a favor.
Jake: No, he didn't.
Joe: Yeah, he did. It's time for me to step back. I'm -- you know, I'm tired a lot of the time. I want to get my life, my energy back. Good news is I think I'm doing your mother a big favor.
Jake: Mom would always want you to put up a fight, and you know that.
Joe: Well, you ask her about this one, see what she has to say. Anyway, nobody lives forever, and I have a lot I want to do. Besides, I haven't given up.
Jake: Well, what if this doesn't work out?
Joe: But it will.

Palmer: We're ready. I think that someone ought to get David.
Jake: I'll do it.

Liza: So, you want to take me to lunch?
David: I think we could actually do a lot for each other.
Liza: I think you've lost your mind.
David: Why don't you give it a chance, Liza? We might be able to break tradition and actually help one another for a change.
Liza: I don't know what you're talking about. You know, I know this is probably not a possibility, but I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mention the tests that I had done today.
David: I would never breach a patient's confidentiality -- ever. So, about lunch -- can I call you?
[Liza gets on the elevator and the door closes]

Jake: The board asked me to find you. They're ready.

Anna: Hi.
David: Hey. Just in time.
Anna: Oh, right. David: Let's do it.

Greenlee: The show at SOS wasn't enough for you? You stalking me now?
Simone: I live here, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Since when?
Simone: Today.
Greenlee: Oh. Good. This is perfect. Yeah, just what I need. What are you doing here?
Leo: I'm moving in with Simone.

Dr. Stannart: You needed to see me?
Chris: I know Erica Kane hired you, therefore I know that you lied to me about working for the bureau.
Dr. Stannart: I'm sorry. I wasn't comfortable doing it, but Ms. Kane insisted.
Chris: All right, forget it. Just don't ever lie to me again.
Dr. Stannart: You have my word, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Good. Now you can tell me how to get the hell out of here on my own two feet.

Erica: I have come here to see Bianca, so you can run along.
Kendall: If you're going to go around barking out orders, you need to remember to bring your whip and chain.
Erica: I have already told Chris that I am the one who hired Dr. Stannart for him, just in case you were thinking of stabbing me in the back.
Kendall: Whatever.

Erica: Bianca, hi. Hi.
Bianca: Hi. Hey, Myrtle and I talked it over. She says that if it's ok with me, it's ok with her.
Kendall: Thank you.
Erica: What, Honey? What? What's going on?
Bianca: Kendall is moving in here. My sister and I are going to live together.

David: Let's go hear the good news.
Anna: Ok.
Palmer: Yes, well, I have an announcement to make. The board has come to a decision. We -- we have accepted the resignation of Dr. Joe Martin with regret but with gratitude for all the years of hard work and dedication to this hospital. We are now anticipating the same service, same dedication from his son. David, won't you help us welcoming Dr. Jake Martin, our new chief of staff.
