ALL MY CHILDREN

MAY 18, 2001

[Heart beats]

doctor: Everything looks good. Hayley, your tests are back. The baby's heartbeat is normal. Everything checks out.
Hayley: Oh, thank God. Thank you, Doctor so much.
Mateo: Thanks.
Doctor: Not a problem. I'll go process your discharge papers, and you two can go home. Try and get some rest tonight. And if anything feels off, call your doctor.
Hayley: OK.
Mateo: OK, thanks. We will.

[Mateo sighs]

Hayley: Honey, I’m fine. The baby's perfect. It was scary, but nobody got hurt, OK? Why don't you go get me my clothes so we can get dressed.
Mateo: No, no, no. I don't -- I don't think we should leave.

Jake: Hey.
Greenlee: I wish I never met Leo.
Jake: It's OK to feel that way.
Greenlee: I wish I didn't feel anything, period.
Jake: Greenlee, one of the worst things about breaking up is working through the feelings. It stinks, but I promise you, it's going to get better.
Greenlee: I know how I’d like to make better. I'd like to dig a really deep hole, get into it, and die.
Greenlee: What are you doing?
Jake: Just -- you're too young to die, that's all there is to it. Here.
Greenlee: Jake --
Jake: No, just put it on, swing that purse over your shoulder, girl, and stand up like a lady. I'm taking you back to the land of the living whether you like it or not. Come on, let's go.

Jack: I've left a few messages for Brooke, but I imagine she's spending every minute she can at the hospital with Laura.
Erica: Yes, she is. She's there right now. David is performing that very risky procedure on Laura tonight.
Jack: So you did it?
Erica: Yes, I did it. I got David out of jail to do it.
Jack: Good for you. I'm not going to even ask.
Erica: Well, it certainly was the right thing for Laura. Jack: You know, all evidence to the contrary, Erica, you really are a soft-hearted person.
Erica: Well, that's a left-handed compliment if I ever heard one. What is that supposed to mean?
Jack: Well, I mean, usually you and Brooke are like two cats fighting in a back alley, but you put all that aside to do the right thing and frankly, I am very impressed. And I’ll tell you some else. It was a very supportive thing to do for Bianca.
Erica: I don't follow you.
Jack: Well, Bianca cares a great deal about Laura --
Erica: There is nothing between Laura and Bianca, Jack. Am I clear? Nothing.

Leo: Hey. You OK?
Bianca: Yeah.
Bianca: Laura is at the hospital having a heart procedure done.
Leo: Yeah. I know.
Bianca: I'm so scared for her, Leo. I can't believe how scared I am.

Joe: Everything went well, I hear.
David: Well, the virus is cleared. The risk during the catheterization was minimized.
Brooke: She still needs a transplant. David said -- he said --
David: It's all we can do, Joe.
Brooke: So then that's -- that's what she'll have. And David will do the procedure, and then Laura will, you know, she'll get better.
Joe: Brooke, the three of us need to sit down and talk about what all of this means. It's not something that can be just scheduled and then --
Brooke: My daughter needs a heart, so she's got to get one. Oh, she's waking up.
Joe: Brooke, I understand your instincts to protect Laura to this point. I do. I really do. But she cannot be kept in the dark any longer about the seriousness of her condition. She's facing major changes in her life. I mean, not just the diet. Her activity is going to have to be circumscribed. She needs to know why. She also needs to know that this is not something that can be fixed overnight -- if at all.
David: Joe's right, Brooke. Don't keep this from her. Please.

Laura: Mom.
Brooke: Hi, Sweetie.
Laura: What -- what did they find out about the tests?
Brooke: Honey, there's a problem with your heart.

Hayley: Sweetheart, I know tonight has been awful. I know. But we're OK. And so is the baby.
Mateo: We never should have left Musique.
Hayley: That's not reality, Mateo.
Mateo: Well, look, this town's like your dad's freaking playground. I mean, he still tries to screw up your family. I mean, look at Junior, you know? He's almost done with him, then he's going to move on to Colby. How long before he comes after our kid?
Hayley: Mateo --
Mateo: What? I mean, have you ever known that kid to get in trouble? Look what he pulled tonight. He moves into your father's house for a minute and a half, he's out joy-riding with his pregnant sister. What is that?
Hayley: All right --
Mateo: What are we talking about here?
Hayley: I know. I know what you're saying, but it's OK now.
Mateo: It's not OK. That's just it. It's not -- it shouldn't have happened.
Hayley: Mateo --
Mateo: I shouldn't have let it happen.
Hayley: There's nothing you could have done. Now you have to stop this.
Mateo: I mean it, Hayley. I really think we should just go somewhere. I don't know, go back to the island, just stay there.
Hayley: Honey, our life is here. Our home, our family.
Mateo: You're my life, my home, my family, and I’m going to protect you. You know that, right? I promise.

Leo: This is scary stuff. But my brother is an amazing surgeon. She's in very capable hands, I swear to you. So why aren't you at the hospital, anyway?
Bianca: Oh, I don't know. I -- I guess I just always end up here.
Leo: Yeah. Greenlee and I spent a lot of time here, too.
Bianca: Did you see her since we were at BJ’s? Leo: Please.
Bianca: Oh, I’m sorry, Leo. I know that you're really upset about her.
Leo: I didn't even see it coming. I thought this was it. Did I tell you how we decided to get married?
Bianca: No.
Leo: Greenlee asked me. You know, I resisted at first, you know? I thought there was just too much stuff in the way, too much outside stuff. But what really didn't work was us. We set ourselves up to fail because the trust just wasn't there and never would be. You know, if I would have known that, if I would have known that the trust wasn't going to be there, I never would have let myself fall in love with her. I'd never been in love before, so I didn't know. But I did, man. I fell. Man, I fell hard. And when I did, I let her love me, and it's probably the worst mistake I ever made in my life. And believe me, I’ve made my fair share. Bianca? Hey, hey.

Laura: What do you mean, Mom? What's -- what's wrong with my heart?
Brooke: Well, the test showed that there's a defect. It's a -- it's a congenital defect.
Laura: So I’ve always had this?
Brooke: Yes. And the -- the virus and the drugs that you took, what they did was exacerbate the situation, but it was going to show up anyway at some point. And the virus also weakened your heart.
Laura: So what's that mean?
Brooke: What it means is that you need to be treated.
Laura: How?
Brooke: The doctors haven't made a final decision yet, but what it does mean is that, you know, you'll have to change a few things -- your diet. You know, your physical activity.
Laura: I'm going to be OK?
Brooke: Yes, you will. OK?

David: Joe, I know that you pulled a lot of strings with the board to get me to come here to perform this procedure. So will you go back to them and talk to them about me performing the transplant, as well?
Joe: Don't get carried away, David.
David: I know I can save her, Joe, if I get the right heart. I know it.
Joe: Yes, but that "if" is the problem, isn't it? We both know it could be months, it could be years before Laura moves up on that list high enough to qualify. And I don't know if she's got that much time left.

Erica: There no relationship between Bianca and Laura. They're friends, that's all.
Jack: No, excuse me. If you -- lest you forget, I was the one that dismantled that web site and took it off the internet. I saw the pictures of Bianca and Laura. I read the excerpts of Bianca’s diary. They were real, Erica. Now, you may not like it, but Bianca has feelings for Laura.
Erica: Had.
Jack: What do you mean, had?
Erica: Had feelings. They're over, and whatever you read in Bianca’s journal, that is over and done with. Past.
Jack: You know what it is? You're just bothered your kid has romantic feelings. And you don't like it because those romantic feelings aren't for a boy, they're for a girl.
Erica: What is wrong with you? Why are you on my case like this? I have been extremely understanding and extremely open to Bianca’s situation.
Jack: You still can't even hardly talk about it. And by the way, Bianca’s sexual orientation is not a "situation." Now, maybe you'd like to tell me why you're really helping Brooke.

[Telephone rings]

Erica: What?
Jack: You pay somebody to call me at times like this?
Erica: I should.
Jack: Montgomery. Fine. Yeah, I’ll be there in 15 minutes, all right?
Well, you're off the hook.
Erica: I am?
Jack: For now.
Erica: Lovely to see you again, Jack.
Jack: Lovely to see you as always, Erica, but let me tell you something. This conversation is not yet over.
Erica: Oh, yes, it is.

Jake: Oh, Jackson.
Jack: Doctor.

Jake: Thank you.
Greenlee: This was such a stupid idea.
Jake: Why?
Greenlee: People are staring at me.
Jake: Oh, who is?
Greenlee: Everyone knows I’m the jilted fiancee who almost got fleeced by Leo du Pres.
Jake: You know, you have such an overblown imagination. Who do you think you are, Julia Roberts or something?
Greenlee: People know me, Jake. I was a deb. I had a party. I do have standing in Pine Valley - I mean until last night. Take me home.
Jake: No, no, no, no, no. You need to eat, and we're going to eat right here. You have no food at home, anyway.
Greenlee: We have 10,000 takeovers from the engagement party from hell.
Jake: That is bad karma. I wouldn't let you eat that food.
Greenlee: Why are you torturing me? Is this because my penthouse is still being renovated?
Jake: No, it's because you had a lousy last 24 hours. You drank an entire bottle of champagne. You almost fell off the roof. You saw Leo again. And you're way too paranoid for your own good. Now, I’m going to feed you and I’m going to feed you right here, so sorry.

[Pager beeps]

Jake: Ah, shoot. Greenlee: Are you on call? Jake: No. No, no, no. I got some patients I need updates on. Now, listen, I want you to go here, just find a table, and wait for me, all right?
Greenlee: Fine.
Jake: Be right back.

Greenlee: Go on. Say it.
Erica: Are you talking to me?
Greenlee: I know you want to make a scene, Erica. Make it.
Erica: I have nothing to say to you, Greenlee. I never have.
Greenlee: I saw the way you looked at me. You're just dying to tell this whole restaurant I was screwed over by my own fiancée, aren't you?
Erica: No, I think you're doing a pretty good job of that yourself.
Greenlee: You love it, don't you? It's like payback for you. It's oozing out of every one of your mud-packed pores.
Erica: Have you been drinking?
Greenlee: Tell me, Erica, which part did you like the best -- the fact that my -- the man that I thought I loved almost skinned me alive of my inheritance or that it happened in front of everyone who matters to me? Huh?
Erica: You know, I don't have a clue what you're talking about, but it sounds like you don't have much left. Are you sure you want to throw it all away right here at BJ’S?

Leo: Bianca, what's wrong? Why are you crying?
Bianca: I'm acting like a jerk.
Leo: No, no, no. Sit, sit. You're not a jerk. You're my sweetheart.
Bianca: It's what you were saying about falling for someone. Letting yourself fall in love with somebody, even though, you know, it's not going to work out. I mean, with Sarah -- even though she to me that she loved me, like all the time, I guess I knew it wasn't going to work out. I did. I let myself fall in love with her, anyway. I let the whole thing happen. And now I can never be with her. Not the way I want to be.
Leo: I'm sorry.
Bianca: And I really thought I was letting go, you know? And now I think maybe I just was letting go for all the wrong reasons.
Leo: I don't -- what do you mean?
Bianca: Leo, I -- I stopped feeling so awful about losing Sarah because I let the whole thing happen again with somebody else. OK?
Leo: I don't --
Laura? Yeah, I kind of figured.
Bianca: Am I that obvious?
Leo: No, you're that sweet. So, did you tell Laura how you feel?
Bianca: Ugh.
Leo: Oh. Went that well, huh?
Bianca: Oh, God. I've been trying to let go of what I was feeling. But ever since she got sick, it's like all I want to do is be there for her and take care of her. I was going to try to get some distance between us. But I can't. I go visit her at the hospital, like, all the time. I can't help it. I -- I wish I were there right now. I hate not knowing how the procedure went and how she's doing.
Leo: Bianca, Laura’s nuts about you. You know, as --
Bianca: As a friend.
Leo: Yeah. And as a friend, I think that it's best that we go to the hospital and see her, don't you?
Bianca: Probably.
Leo: If you don't want to, we don't have to.
Bianca: Leo, I really want to go.
Leo: All right. Well, then let's go together. Laura's our friend. She needs us.
Bianca: OK.
Leo: All right.

Laura: So what kind of treatment is David talking about for me?
Brooke: Well, like I said, Honey, the doctors are talking about a few different things.
Laura: Like what?
Brooke: You know what? We'll talk about all the details tomorrow. In the meantime, I want you to get some rest, get your strength back. And I’m going to talk to David just for a minute because they're taking him back to jail, OK?
Laura: OK.
Brooke: Can I bring you anything?
Laura: No. I'm fine.
Brooke: You bet you are. OK.

David: You have to be Laura’s advocate as soon as possible to get her name on that donor list in time, Joe.
Joe: I've already started the paperwork, David. But you know even better than I -- hello, Brooke.
Brooke: Joe, when my first daughter died, we donated her organs.
Joe: I know.
Brooke: Well, that has to make a difference now. I mean, it has to. I gave another child my daughter's heart, and now I need a heart for Laura. And you and this hospital, you have to make sure that she gets it. I mean it. You have to make sure that this hospital does everything humanly possible to save my daughter. You have to give her every possible chance.
Joe: Brooke, nothing would make me feel better to be able to assure you that I will come through for you and for Laura. But I was just reminding David here that so many of our patients have to wait -- wait up to two years for a donor --
Brooke: I don't care about any of that. I just want my daughter to get her life back. You said she can survive a transplant, right?
David: I believe if I perform the operation, yes, she has a chance.
Brooke: So -- so just -- just tell me what I have to do. I mean, what do we need to do to get her name moved up?
Joe: There are so many things that are involved in something like this. First of all, there are screenings, typings, psychological assessments --
Brooke: So just do them.
Joe: I will, Brooke. I will. But I also want to tell you that after the testing, after Laura gets on the list, after I advocate for her, there's still no guarantee. If it's going to happen, it will happen. I can't do anything else.
Brooke: Is there anything that you can do?
David: No, Brooke. I'm going back to jail. I can't help advocate for a heart. If they get one, I will petition to get out again so that I can perform the operation.

Officer: I've been told to take you back to jail, Dr. Hayward.
David: Yeah. Keep me posted, all right?
Brooke: I will. And thank you for everything that you've done.

Joe: Why don't you come to my office with me and I’ll show you the protocols, let you know what you're going to have to expect.
Brooke: OK. I just want to look in one more time on Laura, OK?
Joe: Yeah, OK.

Doctor: I'm sorry that took so long. I had another emergency. Sign this --
Hayley: Oh, great.
Doctor: And you can get on your way.
Hayley: Thank you, doctor.
Doctor: The nurse will come in and take you off the fetal monitor in a few minutes so you can get dressed.
Hayley: Thanks.
Doctor: Good luck to all of you. You're fine.
Hayley: Thanks. Are you?
Mateo: I'm sorry. I -- I freaked out.
Hayley: You did not freak out. You vented. That's OK. You're allowed. Being a parent is scary. I'm scared all the time.
Mateo: You are?
Hayley: Mm-hmm. I mean, from the moment we took that pregnancy test, I’ve been terrified.
Mateo: What are you afraid of?
Hayley: I don't know. Everything. I mean, when everything is good, I always wait for something to go wrong, you know? I mean, I have you and the baby and this great life, and then I -- I keep waiting for bad things to happen.
Mateo: Well, maybe tonight was -- was it. Yeah?
Hayley: I hope so.
Mateo: Wait -- why do you -- why do you think bad things are going to happen?
Hayley: I don't know. Maybe if -- maybe because I feel like I don't deserve anything good to happen to me.
Mateo: Can I make that go away?
Hayley: You do -- sometimes a lot of times when you hold me like this. When you -- when you hold us like this.

Joe: I've sent for the van.
David: Great. So you will keep me informed on Laura, Joe? Look, I know it's not protocol, but I can consult from my jail cell. And you know I should.
Joe: All right.
David: Thank you.

David: Officer. Peroni, this is my brother. Can you give me two minutes before we leave? Thanks.

Bianca: I'll go check on Laura.
David: She's resting.
Bianca: OK, thanks.

Leo: Is Laura going to be OK?
David: Well, she has a very serious condition, Leo.
Leo: Well, then why are you leaving?
David: Well, it's not like I have much choice.
Leo: Well, if you're her doctor and you can help her, then --
David: No -- there's not much else I can do tonight. Joe's going to keep me informed on her condition.
Leo: Look, David, just -- please, tell me what's wrong with Laura.
David: Leo, I can't.
Leo: Why?
David: Doctor-patient confidentiality.
Leo: Oh -- you're throwing rules at me now? Since -- come on, David, since when do you follow rules?
David: Look, I’m trying to be good, Leo. I know that it's a little late for that, but at least I’m trying.
Leo: Well, at least -- at least you can be here to help her for this.
David: Yeah. So how come you look so bad and I’m the one sleeping in the jail cell every night?
Leo: Well, I had a pretty bad thing go down.
David: Yeah, that's right. I heard from Laura. I'm sorry.
Leo: Why are you sorry?
David: Because I know how much you loved Greenlee. And I know what it feels like to lose someone that you love.
Leo: Yeah, well, I got what was coming to me, believe me.
David: So what now?
Leo: Nothing. Greenlee won't even talk to me.
David: I mean what are you going to do with your life, Leo? Where do you go from here?

Erica: You know, usually when a person's been through what you say you have, they pack their bags and move a thousand miles away and they change their names. That sounds good. You going to do that?
Greenlee: Look, you don't know what it's like to have something like this --
Erica: I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of a deception orchestrated by somebody who doesn't care about her actions and who certainly doesn't have care in the world about the impact on others. I know that and so does Bianca. So I guess it's a pretty bitter pill to swallow for you.

Jake: Erica, nice to see you.
Erica: Hi, Jake.
Jake: Greenlee, what happened to that table I told you to get us?
Erica: Ooh, a Martin to your rescue. Jake, be careful. This is not an ordinary charity case.
Jake: Why don't you leave Greenlee alone, Erica?
Erica: Oh, now, Jake, I think you got that backwards. I will gladly leave.

Greenlee: I'm such an idiot.
Jake: But what did you just do?
Greenlee: I totally provoked her, and, of course, she responded. It's like I wanted to beat her to the punch. Everyone is staring at me for real now, Jake. Please, let's get out of here.
Jake: No, no, no. You leave now, and all those people who have nothing better to do than talk about your love life will, in fact, be having more than something to talk about after the tennis match tomorrow afternoon, all right?
Greenlee: Jake --
Jake: Just sit down, sit down. You run out of here and you're going to look like a loser, and you're going to send their tongues a wagging. Or you can stay here and you can act like a grownup with a life, all right? So it's all in your hands. You just do what you want to do. Either way is just fine with me. I don't really care because nobody really cares about my love life to talk about it, anyway. What's it going to be?
Jake: Uh-oh. Uh-oh, I see it happening. You're turning into a monster now.
Greenlee: Get the waitress over here.
Jake: Waitress -- no alcohol. You're done for the night.
Greenlee: No, I don't need any. But this place looks thirsty. Tell her that the drinks are on the house -- on me.
Jake: You tell the waitress. I don't want any part of this.
Greenlee: OK. Ah, waitress? Drinks are on me. See all better.
Jake: You think so, huh?
Greenlee: Yep. I know so. You're right, Jake. Winners never quit, and I’m back and ready to raise some hell.
Greenlee: A Reuben, a chocolate shake, an order of fries extra well-done, an order of onion rings not so well-done, a bottle of seltzer, a Linzer tart for dessert, and a pot of coffee. Jake?
Jake: Jeez. I'm just going to have the chicken salad on rye toast, please. Thank you. Are you sure you're going to be able to raise hell with all that food in your stomach?
Greenlee: I feel like a warrior, Jake. A woman warrior. I've got my body armor on and nothing can hurt me. I am back. I haven't been gone for long, but it's been long enough. And I’m going to raise trouble for all those people who deserve it. It's like I’ve been walking around with a bag over my head and someone just ripped it off.
Jake: Well, Greenlee, pretending that what happened with Leo didn't happen isn't going to make you hurt less in about five minutes or so, trust me.
Greenlee: Leo who?
Jake: Greenlee, come on.
Greenlee: No, listen -- I don't care. Seeing Erica inspired me. I mean, look at that woman. She's had, like, 123 husbands or something like that and she walks around this town like she owns it. You know why? She has other priorities. She doesn't fixate on any man long enough to let them take her spirit away. And you know what? I'm going to pull that off, too. I just need a -- a thing. A thing to do. Something big. Something huge, even.
Jake: Well, how about something manageable? Why don't you get yourself a small job or work for a charity or something?
Greenlee: Ew. How can you stand the mundanity of your idea?
Jake: The what?
Greenlee: Jake, I need to get Leo out of my system. Charity work won't do that. A huge, famous, earth-shattering explosion will do that. I need something that will turn this town on its ear. What do you think?
Jake: Well, I think you could be sounding a little too much like Erica Kane for my taste.
Greenlee: Really? Do I?
Jake: Yeah.

[Greenlee gasps]

Greenlee: Of course! That's it!

Leo: What is this, David? A stall before your trip to the big house?
David: No.
Leo: Well, you never gave a damn about me before. You never even talked civil to me for 10 seconds. What the hell is this? What do you care? David: I care because you're my brother, Leo. And you stood up for me in court. And then you came to my jail cell and you told me how proud you were of me. I got to tell you, nobody told me that when I became a doctor. But there you were. Look, we both made our mistakes, you know? But I just don't want yours to become as bad as mine. You still have a chance to have a great life, Leo. You just have to have a little more faith in yourself, you know? Not try to hide behind a con to get whatever you want. Just do right by yourself, Leo. I tell you, I see evidence in other people's lives that it can work out that way. And when it does, I’ll make sure I come to you and tell you how proud I am of you.

Bianca: So, it's all good, then? I mean, they'll come up with some kind of treatment or something and you'll be fine.
Brooke: Yeah. That -- that's right.
Leo: Hi, can I join this party?
Brooke: No party tonight, Leo. Don't stay too long, OK? I'm going to bring you a little something to eat, Sweetie.
Bianca: I'll come with you.
Brooke: OK.

Leo: So how'd it go? My brother, the felon, do good for you?
Laura: Yeah, he was great. He's great.
Leo: Laura, how are you doing?
Laura: You want the party line or the truth?

Bianca: Is that really all there is, Brooke? Because I get the feeling that Laura doesn't know everything. I mean, you don't know something that she doesn't, do you?
Brooke: No.

Erica: Bianca, I thought you were at home. I thought you were doing your homework.
Bianca: Oh, yeah. I couldn't concentrate. I had to check on Laura.
Erica: Well, how is she? Is the procedure finished?
Brooke: Yes. She's resting.
Erica: Oh. All right, then let's go home.
Bianca: Mom --
Erica: No, I mean it. It's late.
Bianca: OK. Hold on. Laura, my mom's here, so I’m going to head home. You guys take care of yourselves.
Leo: We will.
Laura: Hey, come visit me tomorrow?
Bianca: Oh, yeah. Of course, first thing.

Erica: Bianca, wait in the car for me.
Bianca: Mom, why are you acting like you're mad at me or something?
Erica: Bianca -- look, please.

Erica: So, now tell me the truth.
Brooke: I didn't tell Laura everything. She knows she has a heart problem, but --
Erica: No, of course not. It's very stressful, I know.
Brooke: And Joe said it could be a very long time before, you know, there would be a heart donor, so --
Erica: I know. That's why I’m here. Look, I’ve done some research and I have found at least three places in Europe that have accommodations that are safe, that are peaceful, where you can wait. In fact, they even have family accommodations so that you and Jamie could actually wait with her.
Brooke: Erica, what the hell are you doing?

Greenlee: It's inspired.
Jake: What is?
Greenlee: I know what I need to do to prove to this stupid town that I don't need any man to be huge and happy and successful.
Jake: Hmm. There's that "huge" word again.
Greenlee: What do I know better than anyone you know?
Jake: How to sleep.
Greenlee: Glamour. Don't you see, Jake? I'm going to give Erica fits with my own company. My own empire. My own takeover. Call this my enchanted evening.
Jake: Uh-oh.
Greenlee: Just you watch, Jake. Forget La Kane. It’s my time!

Brooke: You don't care about Laura’s health. You care about you. It's all about you, as usual. You know, you are so good.
Erica: What are you talking about?
Brooke: I'm talking about -- you don't want to help me help my daughter. You want me to get my daughter so far away from your daughter because you don't want to face Bianca’s sexuality.
Erica: That is not true.
Brooke: The hell it isn't true! Do you know what I would give to be in your shoes, Erica? How dare you!

Leo: Of course I want the truth. Laura, whatever it is, we'll get through it.
Laura: I'm dying.

Mateo: Come on. Easy. Nice and easy. Take it slow. Yeah? What's wrong, Baby? What's wrong? What's wrong?
Hayley: Oh, God, I can't move. I can't move.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Erica: You want to work for me?
Greenlee: You could be my mentor.

Dixie: My son's being tested for drugs. How did this happen?

Mateo: What were you thinking?

Laura: You know what would really help? Knowing the truth. Can you find out for me?
