ALL MY CHILDREN

NOVEMBER 27, 2000

Hayley: I didn't dream it, and I didn't imagine it. I choked my mother to death. I shouldn't even be here, for God's sakes. I should be at the police confessing or something.
Mateo: Whoa, whoa -- the police? There's no need because you didn't kill your mom, ok? Hayley, you have to face this.
Hayley: No, Mateo, you have to face this. When I saw her straddled across you, I went insane. I wanted to kill her. I wanted her dead.
Mateo: Are you -- are you sure about this?
Hayley: Yeah. You're the one that was totally out of it last night. I couldn't see anything else. I couldn't hear anything else. All -- all I could hear was this rage in my head, and -- and all I knew was that I had to stop her, forever. And that's exactly what I did. Now, please, you have to believe me. Mateo, I am not crazy. I am not crazy.
Mateo: I believe you. I -- she was here. I remember now.
Hayley: You saw her?
Mateo: Yeah.
Hayley: You saw her? Then it's true. I really did kill her.
Mateo: Come on.

Ryan: What do you mean? I'm on top of the world here, Adam. Last night was a huge success. You realize that we raised over half a million dollars for the teen pregnancy program.
Adam: Well, let's hope you don't have to spend it all on legal fees and spin control. Your party last night was like a night out in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Ryan: Ah, everybody got a little bit loose, but that just means that they were having a great time. It was a party.
Adam: It was -- it was mayhem. Vanessa Cortlandt lost a necklace worth half a million dollars. Poor Laura English practically drowned.
Ryan: No, those were two fluke accidents. And I was part of Laura's rescue team, Adam.
Adam: Oh, really? Well, tell that to your insurance company. I just hope somebody doesn't sue you.
Ryan: Sue me? Wait a minute. Wait, wait. You don't think actually somebody would -- why would they do that?
Adam: Ryan, Ryan, Derek Frye was here snooping around. Doc Martin? He was mentioning muttering something about food poisoning. What if the press gets wind of this? You can't afford any negative publicity.
Ryan: Hmm. Yeah, I suppose I should probably call my PR company.
Adam: Yeah, I suppose you should. You're a dream peddler. How's the public going to react if they find out that your ship of dreams turned into a nightmare at sea?

Jake: You didn't have to sneak in through the back way.
Gillian: I wasn't sure if anybody was here, and I just assumed your parents wouldn't want to see me. I don't know. Maybe I just didn't want to see them. I disappointed them so terribly.
Jake: Wait a second. You're worried about disappointing my parents?
Gillian: Of course, Jake. They've all been great to me, and I care about them. I loved being a Martin.
Jake: Oh, you loved being a Martin. You know, I'm beginning to think that's what this attraction was all about in the first place. You buy one, you get the other for free.
Gillian: No. No -- that -- no, that's not what I meant.
Jake: Well, that's what you just said, Gillian. I mean, you love being a Martin more than you love me. I feel like I'm the unfortunate complication in your life.
Gillian: Jake --
Jake: Ok, now I'm beginning to realize what this is all about. I mean, some guys are going to wave diamonds and material things in front of your face. And me? All I have to do is just wave mom, dad, and apple pie.
Gillian: Don't be so cold, so bitter. It's not you.
Jake: Well, then don't you be a hypocrite. You slept with me. You made love with me. You tell me you're in love with another guy? You came in here to get your things. And I bet my life on it, Gillian, you're going to take them directly to Ryan's house. You know, now that I am a man again, you just seem to want me to wish you well and smile and go on like nothing happened.
Gillian: Oh, I don't expect you to do that.
Jake: You don't expect me to do that. You know, I think what we have to do here -- I think you better leave. Just leave and come back later and get your things.
Gillian: No. I'm not leaving, not like this.

Tad: Look, this is really important, ok? If I did anything to give you the wrong idea, I apologize. The fact is I must've had some kind of reaction to the pate because I'm not too clear on exactly what happened last night.
Leslie: Oh, you can't be serious. What, do you want me to give you a play-by-play or should we just re-enact the whole thing?

[Door opens]

Dixie: Hey, I wondered what'd you gotten up to. Leslie, hi. What brings you by?
Tad: Uh, she -- she, um -- thank God. She found my wallet. And she just dropped by --
Dixie: Oh.
Tad: Stopped by to drop it off.
Dixie: Oh, that's great.
Leslie: Well, I tried your house. Then I figured that you were here.
Dixie: Well, so we are. Well, thank you so much for going to all the trouble.
Leslie: No trouble. How was dinner?
Dixie: Oh, it was perfection. We're just about to have some pie? Do you want to come in and have some?
Tad: No. No. She's -- Honey, I'm sorry. I'm sure you got plans. I mean it's Thanksgiving, you know.
Leslie: Well, actually, I already ate at the Valley Inn. I was just -- I was going to head to my office and catch up on some paperwork.
Dixie: Don't do that. We've got pie. We've got three kinds of pie.
Leslie: Are you sure? I mean, I'd hate to intrude on a family gathering.
Dixie: Oh, please. Everybody knows you. You know everybody. Come on in. What harm would a little piece of pie do?
Leslie: Ok.

Dimitri: You think I'm crazy. Edmund, your state of mind's been a little sketchy lately -- having hallucinations.
Edmund: Go to hell, Dimitri. I'm not having them anymore.
Dimitri: You said that you couldn't live without Alex, that you were ready to pick up and leave town because of it.
Edmund: So it stands to reason that I would, what, kidnap Alex and stuff her in the attic?
Dimitri: She was on the yacht. You disappeared. Then she disappeared. I don't know the hows or whys. All I know is I want Alex back.
Edmund: I want her back, too!
Dimitri: Alex would never have left that yacht without me unless it was an emergency. I checked with the hospital. They haven't heard from her. She hasn't checked in. That means one thing -- she left that yacht against her will.
Edmund: Ok. Well, then stop wasting time trying to blame me and start focusing on who might've taken her, ok? It wasn't me! Dimitri, I spent months trying to protect Alex, trying to reclaim her life. Remember?
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah -- I know what you did then, and I appreciate it.
Edmund: I don't want your appreciation! I want you to use that head of course! How could I possibly do anything to hurt her against her will knowing what that would do to her?

Mateo: Look, I'll concede that Arlene was here. I'll concede that you were mad enough to choke her. But there's no way you killed her, all right? It just didn't happen.
Hayley: Mateo, I felt for a pulse. There was no pulse.
Mateo: Ok --
Hayley: She was not breathing.
Mateo: Then where's the body? There isn't a body because when you ran for help, she came to and she got the hell off the boat. Come on.
Hayley: Where are we going?
Mateo: We're going to talk to some of the crew guys, you know, the guys that ran the launches. Maybe they remember.

Ryan: Adam, trust me, it's going to be ok, all right? Have a cup of coffee.
Mateo: Just the guy we wanted to see. Hey, Adam.
Hayley: What are you doing here, Dad?
Adam: I was about to ask you the same question.
Ryan: What's going on?
Mateo: Uh -- Hayley and I saw Arlene here last night.
Ryan: Uh, impossible. She wasn't on the guest list.
Mateo: Like that would stop her. Anyway, we wanted to talk to some of the crew men. Maybe they saw her -- the guys that run the launch.
Ryan: Yeah, sure. Except there's only one full-time crew guy. The rest I just hired for the party.
Hayley: Oh, great. There goes that.
Mateo: Don't worry. We'll track them down.
Ryan: What's going on? Did she do something to you?
Mateo: Can we talk to that guy -- the full-time guy -- now?
Ryan: Yeah. Sure. I'll go get him.
Mateo: Ok.

Adam: Hayley, don't let your mind play tricks on you. Arlene wasn't here.
Mateo: No one's confused. I remember seeing her. She definitely was here.
Hayley: And I strangle her to death.
Adam: No --
Hayley: I killed her.
Adam: No -- I don't want you ever to say that again. Never. Sweetheart, you don't have it in you to be that vicious.
Hayley: Well, I thought that, too, Dad, but I was wrong.
Ryan: Wrong about what?

Mateo: Did you -- so can we talk to the crew guy?
Ryan: Yeah. He went to shore for a little bit. I left him a note with your number. He'll call you.
Mateo: Ok, I'll wait for his call.
Adam: No, Ryan, you need to make a call yourself right now, don't you? I'll talk to you later.
Ryan: Yes. Ok.

Adam: I should be getting back home now, quickly. Sweetheart, keep quiet and don't worry. Take care of her.
Mateo: Yeah.

Ryan: Hayley, can you please explain your father to me?
Hayley: Not in a million years. Why? What did he do now?
Ryan: Well, he started to lay into me about the party. He thought it got too wild. He thought it would put my company's future at risk.
Mateo: Adam tends to overreact.
Ryan: What if he's right? You think he's right?
Hayley: Well, the piece I shot for "Wave" will be positive.
Ryan: Oh.
Mateo: I mean, who cares what he thinks? You know? You were the there. How do you think it went?
Ryan: Well, as far as I'm concerned, everything went exactly the way it should have.

Gillian: Jake, if I walk out that door now, we'll never get past the hurt we both feel right now.
Jake: Oh, so once again, you think by staying you're going to make things better.
Gillian: Jake, I don't want you to hate me. It is hard enough already to imagine my life without you.
Jake: Gillian, I won't hate you. If you're here to ask for a divorce, I won't contest it, so just bring on the papers, and I'll sign them right away.
Gillian: That's not why I want to talk to you.
Jake: So now you don't want a divorce? Gillian: No.
That's not what I'm saying.
Joe: Jake, what's taking you so -- hello, Gillian. Sorry to have interrupted.

Leslie: Is it really? Really. Huh.
Ruth: Now, when you finish this, I have apple and I have pecan, too.
Leslie: No, thank you. Pumpkin is my favorite. It looks delicious.
Becca: Oh, it is delicious.
Dixie: Yes.
Ruth: Tad? Hey. Whoa. Are you up for a slice?
Tad: No, Mom, I'm -- no, not right now, thanks.
Opal: Well, what happened to Jake? Now, don't tell me he snuck upstairs to watch football with the boys.
Joe: Jake's in the kitchen with Gillian.
Ruth: Joe, are they making up?
Joe: What do you think?
Opal: Oh, Lord. I don't know what gets into people. I think Gillian is throwing over one of the nicest guys that ever lived. I thought she really loved Jake.
Tina: Oh, I think she did. She does. And she was so grateful when Adrian helped rescue Jake from Chechnya.
Becca: You know, my granny says that your first love is the most powerful, so maybe if Jake had met Gillian first, then -- some -- you know?
Joe: Maybe. Who's to say? Certainly not us.
Tina: Well, I should be going. Dinner was just truly amazing.
Ruth: Oh, thank you.
Tina: Now, are you sure I can't help you with the dishes?
Ruth: No, no. No, thanks. I won't hear of it.
Becca: You know what? I'm going to go, too. I just -- I want to call my family when they're all in one spot, you know? But it was scrumptious. And thank you so much.
Joe: Our pleasure.
Opal: I guess I better go round up Petey. He's probably stuck to the tube.
Tina: Let me go say good-bye to them.
Becca: I'll come. Nice to meet you.

Ruth: Dixie, you barely touched your pie.
Dixie: I know! I'm so stuffed I'm hurting.
Joe: Hope it's not a touch of whatever it was went around on that boat last night.
Dixie: I'm sure it's not.
Leslie: You know, I think I'd like to try the pecan. No adverse reactions from last night here. In fact, I had the time of my life. I loved that yacht and every minute on it.
Dixie: The Grand Salon was so spectacular, wasn't it?
Leslie: Did you see the staterooms? I mean, I snuck into one of them, you know, to freshen up. It was fabulous.
Dixie: Hmm.
Leslie: Perfect for a tryst.
Dixie: Oh!
Leslie: You know, I've really never considered myself nautical, but I could really get into owning a boat like that -- and all the perks that go with it.
Dixie: Oh, yes.
Ruth: Here you go.
Leslie: Thank you. Oh, it looks delicious.

Gillian: You think I only stayed with you out of pity, Jake. But you're wrong. I do love you.
Jake: Oh, but not enough, Gillian. Not the same way that you love Ryan.
Gillian: No. And staying with you wouldn't be fair to any of us.
Jake: Then why didn't you leave? I told you to go. I practically threw you out of here.
Gillian: Because I couldn't leave seeing in how much pain you were.
Jake: Oh, and you say you didn't pity me because of my injury? Right.
Gillian: Jake, I didn't leave out of love and concern for you, and maybe my choice was wrong. But knowing in how much pain you were and seeing how you were still trying to do what was best for me, I couldn't go. My heart couldn't let me go.
Jake: Well, your intentions certainly were honorable, Gillian. You earned your stripes. Just don't ask me to say thanks, ok? No hard feelings.
Gillian: I don't. Look, this is my fault. I believed it was over. I believed that you had given up on us, so I did, too.
Jake: Then came Ryan.
Gillian: He tried to let go, but he couldn't, and I couldn't, either.
Jake: Right, right, right. Because you didn't love me as much as you do him.
Gillian: Because you didn't love me as much as he did.
Jake: How could you possibly even say that?
Gillian: Because you were my husband, Jake. And when things got too tough, you chose to save the world. You just left.

Hayley: Maybe we should get out of here.
Mateo: We're staying, ok? Listen, I'm going to go on deck and I'm going to see if I can find a trace of Arlene, all right?
Hayley: Do you remember where it happened?
Mateo: Allegedly happened. I'm going, ok? Just -- just stay calm.
Hayley: I'll try.

Ryan: Where's Mat going?
Hayley: He's going -- he's going to, uh, see if that crew man came back.
Ryan: Oh. So, you going to tell me what's really going on with you, Hayley?
Hayley: I didn't want to hurt your feelings, but I think I ate something weird last night.
Ryan: Are you serious? Ah -- those caterers. I -- you know, a lot of people had this reaction. Let me ask you something. Do you think that I could get sued for that?
Hayley: I wouldn't worry about it, really. I mean, it was for a good cause and --
Ryan: Right.
Hayley: Everybody in this town is rich.
Ryan: True.
Hayley: So how did it go for you?
Ryan: Fantastic. We raised half a million dollars. I'm going to be cutting a check for the hospital tomorrow for $500,000.
Hayley: That's great. No wonder you look so satisfied. You're the town's hot, young, new mogul. It agrees with you.
Ryan: Can I tell you a secret?
Hayley: Uh-huh.
Ryan: It has very little to do with the business. Actually, nothing. Gillian and I are back together.
Hayley: Oh. Well, that's great, Ryan.
Ryan: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Hayley: Oh, I'm so happy for you both.
Ryan: Thank you, thank you, thank you. If anyone knows how much this means, it's you, Hayley. You're the one who taught me this -- that being with the one you love is everything.

Marian: And a New Year's Eve wedding would be perfect, don't you think? Actually, this new year is really the new millennium -- 2001 -- so it would be a new wedding and a new century.
Liza: What are you going on about?
Marian: Your wedding, Darling, and we don't have much time. Look, why don't we go to New York tomorrow,
look at dresses? Liza: First, I never agreed to a millennium wedding. Second, there will be no wedding if Adam doesn't get divorced from Arlene.
Marian: But he's going to divorce her. I mean, I -- I'm just sure he's going to.
Liza: Well, you know what? I'm not. I don't even know where he is. He's not answering his cell phone.
Marian: Liza, don't hound him.
Liza: Don't hound him? Since when have you jumped on the "Don't hound Adam" bandwagon?
Marian: Well, I mean, as far as I'm concerned, Adam is like root canal -- a necessary evil.
Liza: Well, that's more like it.
Marian: But, Darling, he is the man that you love, and I want you to have him.
Liza: Don't get all sentimental on me, Mom.

Winifred: We held dinner as long as we could, sir. Would you like me to have Lucretia make a plate for you?
Adam: Have her pour me a brandy instead -- a double.
Winifred: Yes, sir.
Liza: Cancel that, Winifred. I'm sure Mr. Chandler would love a plate of the fabulous meal that Lucretia spent so much time preparing at his request.
Adam: Winifred, bring them both.
Liza: I have a riddle. Would you like to hear a riddle? When is a family dinner not a family dinner?
Adam: I'm sorry I'm so late. I'm glad you went ahead and ate without me. Is Colby upstairs?
Marian: No, no, Stuart took her down to the gatehouse.
Liza: Where have you been?
Adam: Looking for Arlene. I'm trying to get her to sign those divorce papers.
Marian: Oh, you see, Darling? I told you he wouldn't waste any time.
Liza: And did you find her?
Adam: No, not yet. She's as slippery as ever.
Liza: Did you try the yacht?
Adam: Why do you ask that?
Liza: Because you said you saw her on the boat.
Adam: Oh, no, no. No, I was mistaken.
Liza: Oh, right, you said -- right after you took off after her. What's going on?

[Telephone rings]

Adam: Nothing.
Liza: Don't insult me. You don't want to talk about a wedding date. Ok, you plan this family dinner and then you vanish. What is going on? Is Arlene blackmailing you?
Adam: Don't be ridiculous.
Liza: I'm not being ridiculous. You saw her last night, didn't you?
Adam: No! I said no. Now, just give it a rest, all right?

Winifred: Excuse me. Mr. Stuart called, and Colby's awake looking for a La-Lo.
Liza: That's her doll. I thought Stuart knew that. I'll take care of it. Thank you.

Adam: Arlene. Arlene?
Adam: God, she's dead. Oh, Hayley, what did she make you do?

[Splash]

Adam: I assume Stuart found Colby's La-Lo.
Liza: All is right with the world. I wish it were as simple for the rest of us.

[Doorbell rings]

Adam: Sweetheart, you know that there's nothing I want more in this world than for us to be remarried and be a family again. But I can't pick a date until I know that I'm free and -- and if Arlene has left town, it could be quite a while before she's found.

Hayley: Oh -- ahem.
Adam: Hayley.
Hayley: Hello, everyone.
Adam: What are you doing here? Are you all right?
Liza: Adam, really. Are you ok? I heard that you thought you took a drink last night.
Mateo: Turns out it was food poisoning. A few of the other guests complained of the same symptoms, so --
Liza: Well, that -- that's outrageous.
Hayley: We were wondering if maybe Arlene has tried to contact you.
Liza: Uh, no, not to my knowledge.
Mateo: Yeah, we've looked everywhere -- in all the dives, all her favorite places, and she's nowhere to be found. It's like she fell off the face of the earth.
Hayley: Excuse me. Do you think that, um, you know, maybe you could hire your private investigators to see if they can't track her down?
Adam: Sweetheart, I've already done all of that. They think that maybe she's left town. And it could be a while before she resurfaces.
Marian: I better go down and check on Colby and Stuart.
Liza: I'm going to go with you.
Adam: Oh, no, Honey, please. Please, don't go yet.
Liza: No, no. Thank you for the lovely dinner that you so obviously missed.
Adam: Can't you stay a little while?
Liza: No, you know what? I'm tired, and I'm cranky. And I just think it would be better if I went home. We can -- we can try again some other time. I'll see you guys later.
Marian: Night.

Hayley: Dad, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to chase Liza away.
Adam: Oh, no. No, you didn't. Everything's fine.
Hayley: No, Dad, it's not fine because I can't eat and I can't sleep and I want to take a drink so bad I'd do anything.
Adam: No, Hayley, no. No, don't do that.
Hayley: Then you've got to help me, Dad.
Adam: All right.
Hayley: You've got to help me.
Adam: All right.
Hayley: We have to find Arlene. It's the only way I'm going to be convinced that I didn't kill her.
Adam: Ok, I'll take care of everything. Don't worry. I'll handle it myself.

Leslie: I would love the recipe for all three pies. I mean, not that I get a chance to bake much, but suddenly I'm inspired.
Ruth: Well, thank you. I will be glad to give them to you.
Leslie: Thank you.
Joe: Hello, Jake.
Jake: Well, hi, Leslie. I didn't know you were here.
Leslie: Hi.
Jake: So where's everybody else?
Dixie: Opal, Becca, and Petey left. Tina did, too.
Jake: Oh. Well, sorry I missed them. Good to see you, though.
Leslie: You, too. These are much more pleasant circumstances than the last time. Have you had a chance to see Colby since you've been home?
Jake: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, actually, Liza brought her by. Would you believe she's walking?
Leslie: Well, I'm glad that you and Liza were -- are able to work things out between you.
Jake: Yeah, we are. We are. Thank you, Mom.
Ruth: Ok.
Jake: But I will be needing your legal services again soon, though.

Gillian: I didn't realize today was a holiday or I wouldn't have come. And you probably all feel like I've let down the family, and you have every right. But I want you to know that I never meant to hurt Jake. And I will feel nothing but love and admiration for this family. And I am proud and honored that for a while I was part of this family.
Gillian: Good-bye.

Dixie: Gillian? Hey. Gillian, wait. Whoa. Hey.
Gillian: Dixie, they probably all hate me now.
Dixie: No, they don't hate you. They don't hate you. I don't hate you. In fact, I like you so much as my sister-in-law I insist that you be my friend.
Gillian: Really?
Dixie: Yeah, really.
Gillian: You don't think I'm a horrible person?
Dixie: No, I don't think you're a horrible person. Oh, come on. I understand. You love Ryan. It's that messy, mess-up-your-life kind of love. That's what Tad and I have.

[Gillian sighs]

Gillian: Why does it have to be so hard?
Dixie: I think maybe because it makes you grateful.
Gillian: You take care of Jake.
Dixie: I will, ok? And you just be thankful that you have Ryan. Be thankful that you have a real, true love in your life, ok? I know I am.

Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, thanks, Inspector. Look, I will e-mail you a recent photograph of Alexandra immediately. Yeah.

[Dimitri sighs]

Edmund: Who was that?
Dimitri: Scotland Yard.
Edmund: Good. I've been on the phone with "Tempo" checking out my resources.
Dimitri: Do what you have to do.
Edmund: Look at me. I didn't take her. Now, I admit I lost it there for a while. But this is me. And I would never do anything to hurt her.
Dimitri, we got to pull it together, you and me. All right? If we work as a team, there is nothing that we can't do.

Dimitri: Ahem.
Derek: Dimitri, Edmund. I have some news.
Dimitri: What -- what news, Derek?
Derek: We questioned the guys who ran the launches. Now, one of them said they saw Alex leave with a man. They described him -- 40s, medium height, medium build, dark hair. Now, that could be anybody.
Dimitri: Yeah. Even you.
Edmund: I don't believe this.
Derek: Look, Edmund, nobody's accusing you. It just would be helpful if somebody could vouch for your whereabouts. Can someone?
Edmund: If I -- if I knew I needed an alibi, I would've woken up the groundskeeper, which is what I was doing all night, which was walking the grounds. Look, Derek, you got any more questions? Or maybe I should call you Inspector Frye, since this is starting to sound like an official investigation.
Derek: No, Edmund. I -- I don't have any more questions. Look, I'm just, you know, trying to clear some things up. Just stick around town.
Edmund: Right.
Dimitri: Thanks, Derek, for stopping by. I'll see you out.

Edmund: I need to make a reservation. Ahem. No, not domestic -- international.

Gillian: Perfect timing.
Ryan: I figured you could probably use this. I thought you probably ran into the whole martin family over there.
Gillian: Yeah. They were all there.
Ryan: That must've been very difficult. How'd it go?
Gillian: It was rough. Jake and I talked and I apologized to the whole family.
Ryan: I should've been there with you.
Gillian: No. No, no, it's better you didn't go. Oh. Dixie was wonderful, though. She reminded me how important it is to never let go of your true love.
Ryan: I'll drink to that.
Gillian: How about you hold me first.
Ryan: Oh, it's all going to get easier from here on in, Princess. What do you say that we lift anchor and we sail to the Caribbean?
Gillian: You want to hijack this yacht?
Ryan: Well, yeah, I thought that might get a little bit messy, so I bought it.
Gillian: No. You did not!
Ryan: Yes, I did. Yes, I did! With my own money. Don't worry, don't worry. My own money, and there's going to be more coming in and I want to rename her. I want to call her Princess.
Gillian: No. No, it's really -- it's bad luck to rename a boat.
Ryan: No such thing. No such thing, not with us. Not with us. Come here. We have our own ship of dreams now, Princess. All we have to do is set sail and watch them come true.

Jake: I'm calling it a day, everyone. Dad. Leslie, nice seeing you again.
Leslie: You, too.
Jake: Dixie, Tad.

Leslie: Thank you.
Ruth: Oh, you're welcome. Thanks for coming.
Joe: Good night, good night.
Leslie: Oh, thank you so much for inviting me in.
Dixie: Yeah.
Leslie: Oh, and thank you for the pie. I don't know what got into me. I just -- I suddenly have this ravenous appetite.
Dixie: Well, you came to the right place.
Tad: Get home safe.
Leslie: Thanks, Tad. And regarding that other matter -- I'll be expecting your call.
Dixie: Bye. Leslie seems nice. You know, I didn't really get to know her during the custody trial.
Tad: Dixie, there's something I have to tell you.
Dixie: Yeah, I kind of figured. She didn't come here just to return your wallet, did she?

Adam: I've got the entire firm on the case. They'll search every dive between here and Azusa, California.
Winifred: Mr. Chandler?
Adam: Yes, Winifred, what is it?
Winifred: I took this message.
Adam: I don't have time right now.
Winifred: It's from Mrs. Arlene Chandler.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Tad: Something happened at the party -- with Leslie.

Erica: Bianca!

Mateo: Forget about Arlene. Let's concentrate on us for once.

Adam: Arlene?
