PREVIOUSLY - - - ON ALL MY CHILDREN

Laura: Greenlee got to Leo.

Brooke: Honey, it doesn't matter about Greenlee. You need to take you medication.
Laura: Yeah, sure. I'll take care of myself so I can get Leo back.

Greenlee: Thank you, Jake. Thank you for doing this for me.

Bianca: I think I love you.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

[Phone rings]

Greenlee: Daddy? Is that you?
Laura: Let me speak with my husband right now.

Bianca: I upset you.
Frankie: No -- no.
Bianca: I -- I scared you.
Frankie: It takes a lot more than that, believe me.
Bianca: Well -- well, maybe it was too soon for me to say it. I just -- I -- I felt it, you know? I've been feeling it, so I just -- just said it. Are you upset because I said I think I love you?
Frankie: Bianca --
Bianca: I mean, you kind of asked.
Frankie: I know I kind of did. Oh, man. Oh, I'm sorry.
Bianca: No --
Frankie: I'm so, so sorry.
Bianca: Don't be sorry for crying. Come on, Frankie.
Frankie: You just don't understand.
Bianca: Well, what is it?
Frankie: No one ever said that to me before.
Bianca: You mean the other people that you dated? It wasn't that serious?
Frankie: I'm not talking about the other people that I've dated, Bianca. No one in my life. No one in my life has ever said "I love you." No one. Until now.
Bianca: You don't really mean that. No one? Not your mother or your father? Your aunt? Nobody has ever said "I love you" to you?
Frankie: Not one soul.
Bianca: Oh, Frankie --
Frankie: No, look, I'm not -- I'm not asking for a pity party, ok? Just -- you look at me with all this -- this --
Bianca: Love.
Frankie: Yeah. And I don't know what to do with it.
Bianca: You don't have to do anything with it. Just let it be.
Frankie: And then what?
Bianca: Frankie, did I just totally blow this?
Frankie: Oh, no, no. Listen, I don't want you to ever think that. I don't -- I don't want any of this to ruin anything for you later on.
Bianca: Whoa, where did that come from?
Frankie: Just -- I'm such a risk.
Bianca: Like I'm not?
Frankie: You just don't know what it's -- you don't know what it's like to --
Bianca: To be you?
Frankie: I'm serious.
Bianca: Well, me, too.
Frankie: I would just hate -- I would just hate to wreck someone like you.
Bianca: Frankie, this doesn't sound like you at all.
Frankie: I know.
Bianca: You don't have to be anything except exactly who you are, for me or anybody else.
Frankie: Bianca, you just don't get it. You don't get it.
Bianca: No. You're right. I don't get it.
Frankie: I never thought anyone could love me or to want to love me. And then I meet you in the most bizarre way in the world, and -- and you just -- just liked me. Without -- without sounding like I'm fishing, can I ask why?
Bianca: You're -- you're upfront. You're -- you say what you mean. You don't -- you don't pretend to like anybody if you don't. You're mysterious, in a way, I guess, and -- and I think you're really beautiful. But that's just a bonus.
Frankie: I can't promise you a thing.
Bianca: I didn't ask you to promise me anything, did I?
Frankie: No.
Bianca: What are you worried about?
Frankie: I worry about your heart.
Bianca: Frankie, I have to look out for my own heart. You can't do it for me.
Frankie: But -- but once you tell someone you love them, you -- you just lay it all on the line.
Bianca: Yeah, well, if you -- if you don't take a chance on loving somebody, Frankie, you might as well just crawl up in a ball and die. I don't expect anything from you because I told you how I feel. I just -- I just want you to own it and -- and just do whatever you want with it.
Frankie: There's one thing I didn't say yet.
Bianca: What's that?
Frankie: Thank you.

Laura: Did you hear me, Greenlee? I said put my husband on the phone right now.
Greenlee: It's your wife. Not happy.
Leo: I'm sorry about that. Try to go back to sleep.
Greenlee: Oh, no, it's ok. I just thought it was my father.
Leo: I know. Hey, just give me a minute.

Leo: Hello?
Laura: Baby. Hi. I'm so worried about you.
Leo: I'm fine.
Laura: Where are you?
Leo: It doesn't matter where I am.
Laura: Leo, I need to talk to you.
Leo: No, you don't.
Laura: Leo, yes, I do. I --
Leo: Listen to me, ok? I'm fine. Please, don't worry about me. I need you to take care of yourself tonight.
Laura: Well, I take care of myself when I'm with you.
Leo: Laura, don't.
Laura: Leo, I need to talk to you.
Leo: Not tonight.
Laura: You -- what do you mean? You're not coming home?
Leo: Look -- I told you this before. Ok? We'll talk some other time.
Laura: Some other -- Leo, look, I just wanted to tell you where I was in case you came back to the condo. I'm staying at my mother's.
Leo: Good. That's good.
Laura: Good. Good, so you can come by here and pick me up and we can go back together. We have so much to talk about.
Leo: Not tonight.
Laura: Leo, this is important. Leo: I know it'
s important, ok, but right now is not the time. Listen, we're both tired, it's late, and the only thing we're going to do is talk ourselves in circles, ok?
Laura: But I need you to hear my side.
Leo: Your side?
Laura: Yes. I want you to understand why I did what I did.
Leo: I don't think that's possible.
Laura: What?
Leo: I don't think that I could ever understand how anybody could do what you did, and that's the problem.
Laura: But, Leo --
Leo: Laura, you're dragging me into a conversation that I'm not going to have tonight, ok? Now, please, just go to bed and get some rest.
Laura: Look, we're still married, all right? You can't just walk away from me like you walked away from me at the ceremony.
Leo: You're absolutely right, I can't. And when the time's right, we're going to deal with that, too.
Laura: What is that supposed to mean?
Leo: It means I'm done.
Laura: Why?
Leo: Because -- because I have some important things that I got to take care of tonight.
Laura: Are you at Greenlee's? Leo, I'm begging you. Whatever she's telling you, it isn't true. She's been out to get me ever since you guys broke up.
Leo: That's not true.
Laura: No, it is true. She's lying, whatever she's telling you.
Leo: Look, Greenlee's not saying anything about you, ok? Maybe you could learn something from that. I'm hanging up.
Laura: Leo, please don't --
Leo: No, I mean it, Laura. Don't call me back again tonight. I'm sorry. I'm turning this off.

[Leo hands up. Laura calls him back on his cell phone]
Leo's voice: Hey, this is Leo. Make it quick.
[Phone beeps]
Laura: Ugh!

Phoebe: Hello, Sweetheart.
Edmund: You dropped this.
Brooke: Oh. Edmund, Phoebe. I was just making Laura some tea. You guys want -- is everything ok?
Phoebe: No, thanks.
Brooke: Laura, were you trying to reach Leo?
Laura: Mom, let it go.
Brooke: Honey, we talked about this. Don't push him tonight. Don't push him, period.
Laura: Mom, I wasn't trying to call Leo.
Brooke: Ok.
Laura: Good.
Brooke: Who were you trying to call?

Opal: Erica?
Erica: Opal, I -- I'm just having a very, very hard time.
Opal: Well, I can see that. Did you -- what happened in there?
Erica: I saw them.
Opal: You saw Frankie and Bianca? And did you talk to them?
Erica: No. Because I got there and they were --
Opal: Frankie? What -- what were they doing?
Erica: Talking.
Opal: That's it? Oh, I'm sorry, but, I mean, you're acting like maybe you walked in on some serious, you know, infligrante delectagram or something.
Erica: Opal, Opal --
Opal: Well, really. Well, did you go crazy on them?
Erica: I -- no, I couldn't. They didn't know I was there.
Opal: Oh, the other shoe dropped. They were talking and you were listening in.
Erica: I couldn't help it.
Opal: Oh, Erica, come on. I told you about honoring your daughter's privacy. Are you trying to get her to run away from you for good?
Erica: I was about to walk in there. But then I heard what Bianca said to Frankie, and I heard what Frankie said to Bianca.
Opal: Oh, I'm almost afraid to hear the rest.
Erica: Well, you should be. I am terrified.
Opal: Of what?
Erica: Of what is happening to my daughter.
Opal: What, that she's -- she's growing up and she's having relationships?
Erica: Oh, Opal, no, it's not as simple as that. I told you this girl Frankie is a drug addict. I told you that.
Opal: Well, and I told you that you of all people would be able to get her some help.
Erica: Opal, don't you see? The thing that I have feared most is happening to me.
Opal: To you?
Erica: I am losing my daughter for good.

Frankie: Ok, just stop. Ok?
Bianca: What? What just happened, Frankie?
Frankie: Just -- nothing.
Bianca: Frankie, I thought -- if you --
Frankie: I just don't know how to handle this.
Bianca: Handle what?
Frankie: All of it -- this, you, everything.
Bianca: Look, if -- if you don't want me near you --
Frankie: Just stop it.
Bianca: If you don't know if you're gay or not or whatever, you don't know how you feel about me --
Frankie: Just stop it, ok? It's not so black and white.
Bianca: Ok.
Frankie: No one's ever felt this way about me. I don't know how to handle it.
Bianca: Handle what?
Frankie: The -- the way you feel for me. You just -- you just stand there and feel. I mean -- look at you. You're just standing there feeling, not caring what anyone else thinks, not even your mother, who is the most intense woman in the entire world, and you just -- you just give and take and you don't -- you don't even care if you look vulnerable. I -- I just don't get it.
Bianca: What?
Frankie: You just -- you just take me for who I am. It's like you understand me, and that really confuses me because I don't even understand myself.
Bianca: Why is that so awful?
Frankie: Because I don't know how to handle it. I have zero experience with it.
Bianca: Well, just because it's new --
Frankie: Just stop, ok? Don't put me in this -- don't put me in this position.
Bianca: What position?
Frankie: The position of having to respond.
Bianca: Whoa! Hang on a second. I never said --
Frankie: No, because here's the thing -- I can't. I can't, not to you. Not to all the love you have to give.
Bianca: Why not?
Frankie: Because I don't know how. I just don't know how.

Laura: I wasn't trying to call Leo, Mom. Ok? I was talking to Susan.
Brooke: Oh, oh, Susan.
Laura: Yeah, Susan is staying at the condo tonight. I wanted her to know where I am in case Leo comes by. You know. I'm ok. It's ok.
Brooke: Honey, you look very upset.
Laura: Well, my wedding was ruined today, so I am upset.
Brooke: I know.
Laura: Maybe I should just go back to the condo.
Brooke: Laura, I don't think that you should be alone tonight.
Laura: No, I told you, Susan is there.
Brooke: Susan is not enough right now.
Laura: Well, Leo will be home soon. He will. We're still married.
Brooke: I just think that you should --
Laura: What? You all think he left me?
Brooke: I think that you should stay here tonight and just rest.
Laura: Well, I don't. So I'll call you in the morning.
Brooke: No. You can't go home.

Greenlee: What are you thinking?
Leo: I'm just thinking about how sorry I am.
Greenlee: About what?
Leo: About being such an idiot. Thanks.
Greenlee: Well, don't think you're there alone. I'm just as big an idiot as you are.
Leo: Well --
Greenlee: Thanks.
Leo: How did we get here?
Greenlee: Where?
Leo: Here, where we are tonight.
Greenlee: Well, you married Laura in her hospital bed. That was the beginning.
Leo: That was a mistake.
Greenlee: No. You were trying to be good. I saw that. Drove me crazy, but I knew what you were trying to do. You just didn't see the one big problem with the whole thing.
Leo: Which was what?
Greenlee: You've absolutely no natural talent for an ability, Leo. You know I'm right.
Leo: Yeah, I do.
Greenlee: It takes one to know one. I'm not good at it, either. I mean, look at all the stupid things that I did to try to prove my point to you. I showed up at your office. I baited her at S.O.S. And the piece de resistance -- I go to her shrink pretending to be her so I could get a diagnosis to prove to you that she's a nut job. Bonehead, I know.
Leo: I can't believe you did that.
Greenlee: I can't, either. I know. You'll never get over that one.
Leo: Hey, how do you know that?
Greenlee: It's way out there. You look confused, beat.
Leo: I don't know. I just -- I just feel so bad about -- I mean, I was so wrong. I mean, I wouldn't listen to a word you said about -- and you were right about everything, all of it.
Greenlee: Maybe you just couldn't hear it.
Leo: Maybe I wouldn't.
Greenlee: I guess you just had to do it on your own time, I guess.
Leo: Greens, if it takes the rest of my life, I want to make this up to you. And --

[Key turns in lock]

Jake: I found your father.
Greenlee: Is he ok? Daddy's --
Jake: Yeah, yeah. He's alive.
Greenlee: Oh, God. Jake --

[Greenlee sighs]

Greenlee: Where is he?
Jake: He's in an ambulance on his way to Pine Valley Hospital right now. I don't have any word on his condition yet.
Greenlee: Where was he?
Jake: He was in a hotel room in Philadelphia. They called the EMT'S, I had notice out to everyone within a 100-mile radius, and I got a call and they said they were on their way to get him.
Greenlee: You made sure they brought him back here?
Jake: Absolutely. Listen, can I drive you to the hospital? He's going to be here within one hour.
Greenlee: Oh, absolutely. Let's go. Jake, I won't forget this.
Leo: I want to be there.
Jake: Let's go.

Opal: Ok, so you went to Frankie's room to talk to Bianca and Frankie, right?
Erica: Right.
Opal: And then what happened?
Erica: Look, I got to the door -- which was open -- and I heard Bianca say to Frankie that she -- that she thought -- that she thought that she loved her.
Opal: Well, Honey, I know it's hard for you to think of your little baby having those kinds of feelings.
Erica: No, Opal, it's not that.
Opal: Well, of course it is, especially because she never really, you know, came to grips with her orientation.
Erica: Opal --
Opal: But this couldn't have come as a complete surprise to you.
Erica: How can you say that? I am completely surprised that it has gone this far so soon.
Opal: Erica, Bianca is a young woman. Young people fall in love much faster than we do, especially one like her. She's so warm and loving and giving and --
Erica: Yeah, I know.
Opal: Well, so it was bound to happen, wasn't it? I mean, you knew from day one that Bianca was attracted to that girl.
Erica: No, I'm not surprised that Bianca has fallen for Frankie.
Opal: Well, what, then?
Erica: I'm surprised that Frankie seems to be susceptible to it.
Opal: Huh?
Erica: Look, Frankie is a con artist. I know this from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. And con artists are not taken in by real emotion. Frankie was. I could hear it. I could hear it. She was -- she was moved.
Opal: Well, saints be praised. Really. Erica --
Erica: Opal, somehow Bianca got through that tough kid's skin, and -- and she got through to her to some place very deep inside in her heart.
Opal: And?
Erica: And Frankie opened up to Bianca. She let it out. She cried in my daughter's arms, which, of course, Bianca is now going to hold on to for dear life, for good. And her heart -- her big, generous, giving, loving heart -- is going to be shattered by that Frankie once -- once she shows her true colors and uses Bianca's good nature in order to -- to shatter her!
Opal: Well, now, here is a thought -- what if you are dead wrong?
Erica: I am not wrong. Frankie is going to shatter Bianca. She cannot be trusted, and now that she's emotionally involved, she's going to be more problematic, not less.
Believe me, I know.
Opal: How on earth could you know that?
Erica: I don't know, I don't know. I just -- I just know. I just do.
Opal: You know, maybe you need to give Frankie a break.
Erica: A break?
Opal: Yeah, a break. You know, it is possible that you could be wrong. Let's just talk sci-fi for a minute here and -- what if she is this brittle thing who had a rough beginning, but inside there is this great heart that Bianca can see before the rest of us, huh?
Erica: Look. Frankie is going to destroy Bianca, and that is what's going on.
Opal: I know you want to protect your child. I get that. I do the same with my kids. But if Bianca is in love with Frankie, nothing that you say or do is going to change that. So you don't have any choice. You either accept it or you're left out in the cold.
Erica: You're right. You're right. I have to accept it. I just have to deal with it.
Opal: Well, that was quick.
Erica: No, no. Look, you're right. I can't get in the way of this. Thank you.
Opal: Oh, Honey.

Bianca: I don't expect
you to say it back, Frankie, really. In fact, if it makes your life easier, we can just pretend I never said a word, ok?
Frankie: So I -- so I just forget that you said you loved me?
Bianca: I said I thought I did.
Frankie: Bianca, don't get like that.
Bianca: Like what? Frankie, what do you want from me? Look, if I'd known this is where this conversation was going, I wouldn't have said a word.
Frankie: But, wait, I never said I wasn't happy. You said that you -- oh, damn it.
Bianca: What?
Frankie: I don't know what to do.
Bianca: Well, I don't know. Just -- just take it in. Just -- just know somebody cares about you. How does it feel?
Frankie: It feels like clothes that don't fit.
Bianca: Well, then change your shirt. Frankie, you don't have to do or say anything. Just be with me and we'll see what happens.
Frankie: That scares me, too.
Bianca: Well, it doesn't exactly make me feel all warm and fuzzy, either, so there. Here I told you that I love you, and you're scared to death.
Frankie: I don't know how I feel.
Bianca: Well, that's ok, too. It's not like I'm in a rush to get married or something. You can relax. It's not like I was hinting that we should take a weekend in Vermont or something really radical.
Frankie: You really think that we can end up together one day, don't you?
Bianca: Yeah, I do. Why, you don't?

[Knock on door]

Erica: Excuse me. We need to talk.

Laura: What do you mean I can't go home?
Brooke: Tonight. I'm talking about tonight.
Laura: Well, I can't stay away forever. I don't want to.
Brooke: I'm not suggesting that, Honey.
Laura: What are you suggesting, Mom? Acting like I'm not married? Like my husband isn't going to come home?
Brooke: No. I just think that you need some time -- some down time to get over what happened, and I think so does Leo.
Laura: Nothing happened. Nothing really happened. I'm still Leo's wife. We're still married.
Edmund: Ahem.
Laura: Well -- why are you all looking at me? I'm still his wife. I always will be. Does anyone have a problem with that?
Brooke: Tonight. I'm just talking about leaving it alone for one night, the night it happened. I'm not suggesting that you give up on your marriage.
Laura: Well, I don't want to waste any time. Greenlee's working on overtime to turn Leo against me.
Brooke: Laura, you don't know that.
Laura: Yes, I do. So I just want to be there when Leo gets home. And if he calls here or stops by for me, would you let him know that --
Edmund: Can I drive you, Laura?
Laura: No. No. I -- I have my car here. I don't want to leave it. I'm ok.
Phoebe: Of course you are.

Edmund: She's a grown woman, Brooke.
Brooke: I know. I know, I just don't feel like she should be, you know, on her own tonight. I mean, what if she is -- what is she going to do if Leo decides not to come home?
Phoebe: Well, if she needs us, she'll call us.
Edmund: And she'll deal with it.
Brooke: Edmund --
Phoebe: Oh, I'm so tired. I think I better turn in.
Brooke: Oh --
Phoebe: But I do want to warn you, I have taken a couple of the little sleeping pills, so don't worry about me.
Brooke: Ok.
Phoebe: And, Edmund --
Edmund: Mm-hmm.
Phoebe: I just spoke with Peggy, and she assures me that Maddie and Sam are sound asleep and will be asleep for the whole night. There was absolutely no reason for you to rush home about anything.
Brooke: Ok. That's enough. Madam subtle, I think it's time for you to say good night.
Phoebe: Time for me to say good night. Good night.
Brooke: And good night.
Edmund: Good night.
Phoebe: Love you.
Brooke: Good night.
Paul: Good night.

Brooke: Hmm.
Edmund: Hmm.
Brooke: Sorry about that.
Edmund: Don't be sorry. I love the way Aunt Phoebe thinks. I always have. And you?
Brooke: That depends on what we're doing, exactly.
Edmund: Well, that depends. What do you think we're doing?

Bianca: Mom, I don't know what you want to talk about, but --
Erica: I need to talk to both of you. So it's really good that both of you are here.
Bianca: What is it?
Erica: My good friend Opal. She made me realize that I don't have a right to -- look, let's just say this. I am a recovering addict, and I should have put my personal feelings aside in order to discuss your problem, Frankie.
Frankie: My what?
Erica: Do you deny that you use drugs?
Frankie: No, but I don't --
Erica: Then, you see, I'm here for you. I'm here to see you through this. I am here to help you get whatever help you need -- I mean, unless you don't want me to help. Do you?
Frankie: I -- sure. Thank you.
Bianca: Opal did this?
Erica: Did what?
Bianca: Well, you're -- you're doing a total 180, Mom, and it's weird.
Erica: Honey -- this is just what I should have done from the very beginning, all right?
[Erica sighs]
Erica: Ok. Ok. Look, do you mind, then, if I just have a couple of minutes alone with Frankie?
Bianca: You ok with it?
Frankie: Sure.
Bianca: Ok, I'll make us some tea or something.

Frankie: You're not the least bit happy about this, are you?
Erica: Am I happy that my daughter, who is in recovery herself, has found herself involved with someone who has a drug problem?
Frankie: Look, I don't --
Erica: I am not happy about any of this, Mary Francis. But I am a mother, and I will do anything for my daughter. Anything.
Frankie: So this -- this "help" -- it isn't for me. It's for Bianca. Am I right?

Jake: Tori, is he here yet?
Tori: Mr. Smythe is in cubicle one, Dr. Martin.
Jake: Ok. All right, let's go.
Tori: [To Leo] Oh -- you're going to have to wait here.

Greenlee: Daddy. Daddy. Daddy, I never thought I was going to see you again.
Roger: Greenlee.
Greenlee: Daddy, where did you go? Why didn't you wait for me?
Roger: I don't -- I can't. I --
Greenlee: Daddy, what happened?
Greenlee: Daddy, Daddy, I went to get David Hayward, and then when I came back to my office, you were gone.
Jake: Greenlee, Greenlee, just slow down, go easy. He's stable, but you need to take it easy.
Greenlee: Ok. Daddy, Daddy, where did you go? Why did you leave? Roger: I -- I can't -- I can't -- can't remember anything.

Erica: We understand each other. Good.
Frankie: You know, I want the best for Bianca, too. Don't you understand that?
Erica: I hope that's true.
Frankie: Yeah, it is.
Erica: Look, I have a small confession.
Frankie: How small?
Erica: I was here before. I was here when Bianca told you that she thought that she had feelings for you.
Frankie: You were listening at the door?
Erica: No, it was a mistake. In any event, I heard Bianca say that she thought that she loved you. I didn't think it was right for me to stay any longer, you know, to hear what your reply was to her declaration of love, and so I didn't. I didn't hear what your reply was, and I am curious.
Frankie: What are you doing?
Erica: I think it's fair to ask. Do you have feelings for Bianca, too?

Brooke: Oh. Look at Laura's wedding dress.
Edmund: Maybe we should put it away.
Brooke: Well, it's ruined.
Edmund: Brooke?
Brooke: You know that dress cost me a fortune? Ok, there. Ahem. Now I've stalled for 15 seconds, so it's your turn.
Edmund: Do I have to stall?
Brooke: Oh, what? You want to get right to the point?
Edmund: Only if you do.
Brooke: Well, I do. And I was thinking I think it's time to go to the Pine Cone. Come here.
[Brooke and Edmund kiss]

[Knock on door]
[Key turns in lock]
[Laura sneaks into Greenlee's apartment]

Laura: Greenlee?
Laura: Leo?
Laura: Damn it. Where the hell did --

[Phone rings]

Leo: I thought I told you not to call me again tonight.
Laura: Where are you?
Laura: Why?
Leo: Because, Laura, I can't talk to you tonight. I'm sorry.
Laura: Leo -- I have to explain.
Leo: I'm not interested. I'm hanging up, and please don't make me slam it down on you.

Laura: No, Leo. Leo -- Leo, I -- I can't breathe. I can't feel -- I don't feel right.
Leo: Oh, for God's sake, Laura, would you please stop pulling this garbage on me? It's over.

[Leo hangs up]

[Laura collapses on the floor]

Laura: Leo?

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

David: You have made your last foolish mistake. Am I clear?

Greenlee: You're a hero, Jake, to a lot of people. But most of all to me.

Frankie: What would you do if I was your new --
