ALL MY CHILDREN

OCTOBER 2, 2000

Hayley: Adopting Arlene's baby is a brilliant idea. We could turn that storage room that we use at the condo into a nursery. And we'll use cloth diapers instead of disposable --
Mateo: Honey, hold on --
Hayley: We have names to pick out --
Mateo: Honey, hold, hold --
Hayley: We've got a lot of work to do. Mateo: I know, like watching your mom around the clock for months, getting your dad to do the unthinkable -- relinquish control of one of his offspring. Come on, Hayley.
Hayley: Since you put it like that.
Mateo: I just don't want you getting your hopes up too high, all right? Not yet.
Hayley: This was your idea!
Mateo: I -- I know.
Hayley: Look, Adam wants Arlene gone, Arlene wants the money, and we want a baby.
Mateo: I know, but Arlene is the wild card. She acts -- she's very excited about this baby.
Hayley: That's because she thinks she can use the baby to control Adam, which won't work because he's all about Liza and Colby now. And he'll forget all about Arlene once he cuts that check for a half million dollars. There is no downside.
Mateo: Your mother. Your mother's the downside.
Hayley: No, she's not the same Arlene who strolled into town with rug burn on her tush.
Mateo: Right. Since when?
Hayley: Since -- think about this. She did what was best for Adam. She brought Uncle Stuart to his hospital room. She was thinking about his best interests. What if she thinks that we're in the baby's best interests?
Mateo: Well, even if she does, she always ends up hurting you. I know she does, ok?
Hayley: It'll be different this time.
Mateo: You're right because I'm going to protect you and the baby. I'm getting lawyers, contracts. Airtight contracts. Full custody. I don't want any surprise attacks down the road, all right?
Hayley: I agree.
Mateo: And you know we got to watch your mom. She has no discipline, baby. No discipline. We'll have to sleep with our eyes open.
Hayley: I know that.
Mateo: And then there are no guarantees even then. You know, legal contracts, watching your mom. There are still no guarantees. You know that.
Hayley: Yes.
Mateo: Ok. Good.
Hayley: Now ca
n I get excited? Mateo: Come here.

Girl: Blanca's a really pretty name. Were you named after Bianca Jagger?
Bianca: Actually, just my luck, my mom was going through her Shakespeare phase when I was born. I guess I should be happy I'm not a Desdemona.

Ryan: Let's go, Jake. We got to hurry up!
Jake: Got it. Let's go. Come on. We don't need that. Just get it in there.

[Gunshot]

Singer: How many times do I have to try to tell you that I hope

Gillian: Oh, my God. Jake.

Singer: The things I've done ooh but when I stop to try to tell you that's when you have to tell me hey, this kind of trouble's only just begun yeah
Singer: I tell myself too many times why don't you ever learn to keep your big mouth shut

Ryan: Nothing is going to come between us, cosmic or otherwise. I will never let you go again

. Singer: Hear the words that keep on falling from your mouth falling from your mouth falling from your mouth tell me why
Singer: Why
Singer: I may be mad I may be blind I may be viciously unkind but I can still read what you're thinking

Jake: And you brought me back home. And that's why you're my lifeline. And I know you're confused. And I don't even know where you're at right now. But I want you to know that I'm here and I'm here for you. And you just grab a hold of me and you don't let go.

Singer: Why can't you see this boat is sinking this boat is sinking this boat is sinking the moment I fear

Erica: Oh, there's Bianca.
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You know, I was thinking maybe this isn't such a good idea coming here after all.
Erica: Jack, Bianca didn't eat at home, she didn't eat on the plane. I just want to be sure she's all right. Oh, she seems to be having a really good time.
Jack: Yeah, or else she's swallowing her feelings and playing the good daughter.
Erica: Well, Jack, that's what got her into trouble in the first place, and I am certainly not going to let that happen again.
Jack: Hey -- wait a minute
. Erica: What?
Jack: Maybe the last thing Bianca needs is a surveillance team.
Erica: Jack, I just want to see if she's all right. Please, just grab us a table, and I'll catch up with you, ok?

Bianca: So isn't this song awesome?
Girl: Yeah, it's cool.
Boy: Do you want to dance?
Bianca: Oh --
Erica: Please don't let me stop you from dancing. I just wanted to say hi. Hi, Sweetheart.
Bianca: Mom, what are you doing here? I thought you said that you were tired.
Erica: Well, I was, but then Uncle Jack asked me if I wanted to go out for a snack, so I could hardly refuse.
Girl: Bianca didn't tell us her mom was famous.
Erica: Well, Bianca, why don't you introduce me to your friends.
Bianca: This is Steve, Mary, and Claire. Let's dance.
Erica: Hi.
Steve: Ms. Kane?
Erica: Yes.
Steve: You are, like, a total babe for a mom.
Erica: Well, thank you.
Mary: I can't wait to tell my mother I met you.
Claire: Wait till I tell my dad.
Steve: Can I have your autograph?
Erica: Of course.
Jack: Here, go ahead and use this.
Erica: Oh, thank you, Jack.
Steve: No -- here -- on my heart.

[Jack laughs]

Jack: "On my heart." That's just adorable.
Erica: It's "Steve," right?
Steve: Yeah.
Jack: Steve? Cute. Ok, well, your nachos are waiting, Ms. Kane, so --
Steve: Thanks.
Erica: You're welcome. Ok.
Jack: Yeah.
Erica: See you later.
Jack: Yeah, we'll check back with you later.
Mary: Bye.

Bianca: So, isn't BBMak the hottest group?
Claire: Your mom probably knows them real well, huh?
Steve: Hey, she threw that huge party for you, right?
Claire: The one with O-Town, right?
Mary: Oh, my gosh. That must've been so cool.
Claire: You're so lucky to have a mom like her.
Bianca: She's just a mother. I mean, she can be a real --
Steve: Hottie.
Claire: Does she have lots of famous friends?

Erica: Well, that boy was really charming.
Jack: Oh, yeah.
Erica: You, on the other hand, were completely rude. Why'd you drag me off like that?
Jack: Because you were stealing the limelight from your daughter.
Erica: Well, hardly. I mean, she's getting along beautifully, and my daughter is the center of attention.
Jack: That's exactly why we got out of there when we did.
Erica: But I don't think that she's eaten yet. Oh -- fabulous. Hi. Listen, can you please take a menu over to that group there?
Waiter: Absolutely, Ms. Kane. Have a great night. Enjoy.
Erica: Thank you.

Jack: Erica, do you really think you have to do that?
Erica: I am not smothering, hovering, or spying. I'm just concerned at a safe distance. Oh, she and Steve look like they're really getting along very well. Maybe she's on her way to getting over that broken heart. Do you know what? Maybe I could arrange to have --
Jack: Oh, now, wait a minute, wait a minute. If you start playing matchmaker for this girl, I'm going to put you over my knee and spank you into the middle of next week.
Erica: Jack --

Dimitri: Jack Montgomery giving Erica Kane a little tough love. Good for you.
Jack: Hey. Dimitri Marick. Welcome back to the land of the living.
Dimitri: Thank you.
Good to be here. Erica: Are you alone?
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah. Alex had to work late at the hospital.
Erica: Well, I never worked late when I was married to you.
Jack: Oh, Erica, shh
Erica: Well, I mean, I just think it's, you know, a little unusual that you two would be apart so soon. I mean, I should think that Alex, under the circumstances, just wouldn't want to leave your side.
Dimitri: Yeah, well, one of -- her passion for work is one of the things that I love about her best.
Erica: Well, and, of course, if she's working so hard, then you know she's not with Edmund. How is he?
Dimitri: He's fine. I just saw Bianca. I'm going to say hello.
Erica: Ok.

Dimitri: Hey, Gorgeous.
Bianca: Dimitri! Hi!
Dimitri: Hi!
Bianca: How are you?
Dimitri: What happened to your pals?
Bianca: We were just talking. Until mom showed up.
Dimitri: Aha. The Erica Kane show.
Bianca: It got really weird.
Dimitri: It isn't easy being Erica Kane's daughter.
Bianca: How'd you know?
Dimitri: Because it wasn't easy being Erica Kane's husband. Can I get you another soda?
Bianca: Sure.
Dimitri: Let's do it.

Brooke: Oh -- hi.
Eliot: Oh, hey.
Brooke: Thank you for meeting me here. I didn't know that the meeting at "Tempo" would take so long.
Eliot: Hey, I'm too revved to sleep. By this time tomorrow, we'll have temporary custody of Ricky. If we're lucky.
Brooke: The facts are on our side, so I think we will get custody. And then what?
Eliot: He'll start a new life with you. That's still ok, isn't it?
Brooke: Jamie is very much looking forward to having him with us.
Eliot: But, Brooke, what about you? Any reservations?
Brooke: No, it's not that. I saw Ricky at the community center today.
Eliot: And?
Brooke: He's very determined to make this break with his father. And he's hoping that he can stay with you.
Eliot: I wish that he could, but I am leaving town as soon as he settles in with you and Jamie.
Brooke: Your -- your fight for Ricky has been so personal. I mean, you've put so much of yourself into it, and now you're just taking off.
Eliot: I have no choice. I've received my new assignment.

[Telephone rings]

Ryan: Gillian?
Gillian: Ryan.
Ryan: Where are you?
Gillian: I'm at the Martins'. Ryan: You were supposed to leave hours ago. You haven't told him yet, have you? Gillian?
Gillian: I can't. Not yet.
Ryan: Well, then just leave. Leave and just come here. Be with me.
Gillian: Ryan, I can't do that, either.
Ryan: Just for tonight. Just for tonight. Can we just forget everything except for us?
Gillian: Ryan, listen, I can't just forget.

[Gillian sighs]

Gillian: I -- I owe Jake so much. How can I just leave him and be with you when he's in so much pain and alone? I -- I don't want to be selfish.
Ryan: You're not selfish.
Gillian: I just feel so guilty.
Ryan: Which is why you have to tell him now, Gillian. Now. Because nothing will be right until you tell him.
Gillian: I know, but --
Ryan: But -- listen, there's no family stronger than the Martins, ok? All right, he's going to have plenty of support. He'll have plenty of support to get him through this.
Gillian: Ryan, I just want to do the right thing. Oh, God, this is so confusing.
Ryan: Confusing? Why? What did he say? Has he said something?
Gillian: No. I'll explain it later.
Ryan: Is he close by?
Gillian: No, he's gone to bed.
Ryan: Well, then get out of there! Come here.
Gillian: Ryan, I have to spend the night here tonight.
Ryan: What?
Gillian: You and I will have the rest of our lives together.
Ryan: Don't do this, please. Don't do it.
Gillian: It's not what I want, either, believe me. But I love you, Ryan. Just trust me, please.
Ryan: Gillian --
Gillian: Good night.

Joe's voice: Now he's got one hell of a fight on his hands. And he just -- he can't win it by himself. He needs you by his side. Please, Gillian, don't desert him. My son needs you.

Gillian: Please, God, let me do the right thing.

Brooke: I just thought you would've changed your mind. You know, you've -- you've been so concerned for Ricky, and he's come to depend on you -- your support, your guidance. And you're just --
Eliot: Abandoning him?
Brooke: Yes, you are. You know, I mean, taking him away from his abusive father, that's -- that's not the end of it. That's just a start. I mean, he's going to need you now more than any time.
Eliot: He'll have you.
Brooke: I'll do the best I can. It's not the same. It's not the same for any of us, you know? Eliot: If there was anything that I could do to stay here, I would.
Brooke: Where's your new congregation?
Eliot: Wisconsin.
Brooke: It's very far.
Eliot: Ricky's going to be ok, Brooke. He's tough.
Brooke: You know, Ricky's not the only one whose world you've changed.
Eliot: You have shaped my life in ways that you can't even fathom. And I've hurt you. I never intended for that to happen.
Brooke: You gave me a new beginning, Eliot. You did. Just like Ricky.

Erica: Hi, Sweetheart. Where did your friends go?
Bianca: They're not my friends, Mom. They're just kids I met tonight.
Erica: Ok.
Dimitri: If you'll excuse me. Don't forget we've got to set up our riding schedule again.
Bianca: Oh, I can't wait.
Dimitri: And there's plenty of room at Wildwind for your horse. Just let me know when get settled in.
Bianca: Thank you, Dimitri.
Dimitri: Hope to see you soon. Good night.
Jack: Good night.

Erica: Where's Leo? I don't see him.
Bianca: Um -- I think he's in the men's room.
Erica: Oh. Well, that gave you time to make friends with people closer to your own age.
Bianca: I was just talking to them, Mom.
Erica: Well, that's a start. Honey, I know that you are grieving for your father -- and of course you should be -- but friends can really help you get through that. They really can if you let them.
Bianca: My friends? You know, Mary wants to know how you keep in such fantastic shape. And Claire asks if she could get free samples of your new Enchantment line. And Steve -- uh -- Steve thinks you're a hottie.
Erica: You know, Honey, they just seem normal to me. I mean, maybe you could give them a chance.
Bianca: My goodness, the Erica Kane seal of approval. I'll have to let them know. They'll be delighted.
Erica: Honey, look, I didn't come here to spoil your good time.
Bianca: Then why did you come here, Mom?
Erica: Well, certainly not to spy on you. I mean, my mother used to watch me like a hawk. I would never do that to you. Never. Believe me, I'm nothing like Grandma.
Bianca: No kidding.

Hayley: Coming out the back.
Dimitri: There he is. Thank you.
Hayley: Sure.
Dimitri: Mateo.
Mateo: Hey! How are you, man? Good to see you. What can I get you? It's on the house.
Dimitri: Nah, no, no, no. Nothing.
Mateo: No?
Dimitri: If you do have the time, I would like to talk to you for a minute.
Mateo: Yeah, sure, man. What's on your mind?
Dimitri: It's Edmund. Have you seen him lately?
Mateo: Uh -- I saw him at Blanca's party. You know, I haven't seen him since. It's been kind of hectic here. Why? What's going on?
Dimitri: He's having a rough time.
Mateo: Really? When I saw you guys, he looked fine. I mean, I was surprised to see you and Alex and him together. It was a little strange.
Dimitri: Yeah, I know, I know. It was Edmund's idea. I felt very uncomfortable at the party. And I say he's a private man, a proud man.
Mateo: So, this calm acceptance of you and Alex --
Dimitri: Was for public consumption.
Mateo: So in private it's?
Dimitri: Whoo. In private he insists that Alex and I live at Wildwind even though it's torturing him to see us together or separately. Mateo, he needs somebody he can trust, someone that he can vent to.
Mateo: Yeah. Oh, me. You -- you -- if you think it'll help.
Dimitri: I would appreciate it, and I'd be very grateful.
Mateo: Dimitri, I just think it's going to take a little time, though, you know? I mean, the whole thing is a little awkward, wouldn't you say?
Dimitri: Awkward?
Mateo: Yeah.
Dimitri: Awkward. Let me tell you what is awkward.
Mateo: What? It's bad? Just -- tell me. If you want me to help him out, I need to know what's going on.
Dimitri: All right. The other day -- oh, he tried to strangle me. No, no, no, no.
Mateo: Seriously? Seriously? Edmund?
Dimitri: Hold on, hold on. It wasn't premeditated. He just lost it. The rage, the hatred.
Mateo: Right.
Dimitri: I mean, Mateo, I can't blame him. I took the woman he loves and his future with it.
Mateo: I've got it. I've done it. When you were away --
Dimitri: Away?
Mateo: Yeah, dead.

[Dimitri laughs]

Mateo: Ryan and Hayley -- you know, some things were going on. Long story short -- I happened upon a car accident one evening, last Halloween. Ryan was in the car. So I saved him. You know, or do I save him or do I leave him in there? I hesitated. And if I left him in the car, he'd be out of my life and away from Hayley.
Dimitri: But you saved him.
Mateo: Yeah.

[Dimitri sighs]

Dimitri: Then try to help me save Edmund.
Mateo: All right.

Hayley: Well, hey, stranger. What's new?
Ryan: Give me a double scotch.

Jake's voice: Uh, is this my wife? Listen, you shouldn't be here. What are you doing here?
Gillian: I can't believe we found you.
Jake: We, hang on, hang on. Just -- hang on just -- Ryan.
Ryan: Hey.
Jake: Man, this is incredible. Hey.
Ryan: Yeah

Gillian: Jake, I need to --
Jake: You don't have to say anything.
Gillian: No, but I -- I want to.
Jake: Gillian, I never expected you to join me here. It's just enough that you're here. You ok?
Gillian: Jake, that letter you wrote me, it's so beautiful. I -- I can't stop thinking about it. The way you remembered the first time we made love.
Jake: I'll never forget it. I imagined it over and over in my mind. I've replayed it so many times. But it's going to be different because loving you is important and now you are my life. And I have never felt so alive as when I do right now, here with you. And I want to show you

Ryan: Ah. Hit me again, please.
Hayley: What's your rush?
Ryan: No, no, no, no lectures. Not tonight, ok? Really, no lectures.
Hayley: You want to talk about it?
Ryan: I'll just take that drink.

Dimitri: Ryan.
Ryan: Dimitri! Oh, man. Never thought I'd see you again.
Dimitri: It is good to be alive.
Ryan: So, you drinking?
Dimitri: Not now. I've got to -- I promised Alex I wouldn't be late.
Ryan: Oh. Hayley?
Dimitri: Why not go -- why don't we take a walk?
Ryan: Well, shouldn't you be getting home to your wife?
Dimitri: I've got a little extra time on my hands.
Ryan: All right. Well, I'm out of here. It was good to see you.
Dimitri: Why don't you let me drive?
Ryan: I really don't need a driver.
Dimitri: Ryan, the hell you don't.
Ryan: Dimitri, what are you doing? What are you doing? Just -- you know, go home, leave me alone. It's all right.
Dimitri: Yeah, yeah, let you do something stupid? Not a chance. Now cough up the keys. Come on.
Dimitri: That's it.

Erica: Well, I wonder what Leo could be doing in the men's room so long.
Jack: Well, why don't I go --
Erica: Don't answer that.
Jack: Why don't I go grab him.

Erica: So, did you dance with Steve?
Bianca: No, I didn't.
Erica: You didn't like him?
Bianca: I just met him, Mom.
Erica: Well, you know, we could make sure that you get to know him a little bit better. I mean, what's his last name? Maybe I know his family. I could invite him over.
Bianca: I don't think so.
Erica: Bianca, please. I want you to have a good time, but you've got to make an effort. And what's so terrible about making new friends?
Bianca: They did invite me bowling.
Erica: Well, that's terrific, Honey. And actually, that would give you a chance to get to know Steve in a group.
Bianca: Mom --
Erica: Well, I'm just saying that -- you know, at your age, boys usually want something different than girls do.
Bianca: Mom, I don't even know Steve's last name and you're already worried about us dating?
Erica: Well, I'm -- look, I'm just speaking from personal experience. I've been there and I just don't want you to have your heart broken.
Oh. Where's Leo?
Jack: Nowhere to be found.
Erica: Well, that's very odd.
Jack: Yeah.
Erica: Did he say anything to you?
Bianca: Actually, he left. It's ok. I told him that he could go. It's perfectly all right, Mom.
Erica: All right? Bianca, you lied to me.
Erica: Honestly, Bianca. You want me to treat you like an adult and then you go ahead and you do something like this? I mean, you just exercised such poor judgment.
Bianca: Uncle Jack --
Jack: Your mom is right. That was not a smart move.
Bianca: I only did it --
Erica: To protect Leo. And I don't understand that. I mean, that's no reason for you to lie to me. Bianca, I'm your mother. I mean, how in the world could you side with Leo against me?
Bianca: That's not the way it happened.
Erica: All right, look, let's just go home now. Can -- oh, no. Oh.
Jack: Oh, Honey.
Erica: All right, look, we'll go home after I clean up.

Bianca: I really did it this time, didn't I?
Jack: Yeah, well, Kiddo, you made a bad choice.
Bianca: She treats me like a little kid.
Jack: Listen, maybe you need to show her that you're very quickly becoming an adult, you know? A little trust can go a long way, Kiddo.
Bianca: You make it sound easy.
Jack: Yeah, well, I know her.
Bianca: Uncle Jack, please talk to her.
Jack: How about if I buy you a fried ice cream instead and we'll call it even. What do you think? No? Uh, ok, look, I'll talk to her, but remember, miracles are a little out of my league, ok?
Bianca: Thank you.
Jack: Yeah.

Mateo: Hey, Eliot.
Eliot: Hey.
Mateo: Hey, you guys. How are you doing?
Brooke: Thanks.
Mateo: Listen, I heard you're leaving us.
Eliot: Uh, yeah. I've been transferred to another church.
Brooke: In Wisconsin.
Eliot: In Wisconsin.
Mateo: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. You gave Hayley and me a really good start by marrying us. I really appreciate that. Don't be a stranger, ok?
Eliot: Thanks. I appreciate it.
Mateo: You did a lot of good here. Before you leave, tell Hayley you said good-bye, ok?
Eliot: I will.

Erica: Are you leaving town, Rev. Freeman?
Eliot: Yes. Yes, I am. My new congregation's in Wisconsin.
Erica: Oh, my goodness. Well, this must be s devastating for you, Brooke. I mean, you finally meet a decent guy and he can't t out of town fast enough. What's your secret?
Brooke: Oh, I think you're the expert. You've scared away how many husbands? Seven? Eight?
Erica: I just think it's a shame that you can't find anything worthwhile to keep you here in Pine Valley.
Eliot: On the contrary, leaving is actually one of the most difficult things I've ever done.
Erica: Well, I know I will miss you very much.
Eliot: Really?
Erica: Yes.
Eliot: Tell me, which of my sermons did you enjoy the most?
Erica: Oh, well, I didn't actually hear any of your sermons, but I'm sure that they were all just wonderful. Good luck.

["All By Myself" plays]

Eliot: Thank you.
Brooke: You busted her. That's very rare.
Eliot: It's a gift.
Brooke: Oh. That's a song I haven't danced to in forever.
Eliot: Would you do me the honor?

Singer: Don't want to be all by myself anymore all by myself don't want to live all by myself anymore

Dimitri: Ooh, yeah. It's a damn good place to cool down, Ryan.
Ryan: Why -- why are you doing this to me, Dimitri?
Dimitri: What do you mean? We lived in the same house, I care about you, and I love Gillian.
Ryan: Who said anything about Gillian?
Dimitri: You want to tell me about it?
Ryan: We were supposed to -- we were supposed to meet tonight, and she's with Jake.
Dimitri: He just got home. They're still married.
Ryan: Yeah, I know. I know. Please, don't remind me. Wait a minute, what -- what exactly am I doing here? What am I doing here with you in my face like this?
Dimitri: Well, if you forgot, Ryan, tonight I was the only person standing between you and a big mistake.
Ryan: I have done everything -- everything I possibly can to make it work with Gillian. You have no idea. I have been understanding. I have been as understanding as I know how to be.
Dimitri: It is a tough situation for both of you. I know what it's like. I just don't want you to give up on yourself.
Ryan: Right now, giving up is all I feel like doing, Dimitri. That's all I feel like doing, is giving up.
Dimitri: Well, Gillian loves you and she'll follow her heart. Ryan: She married Jake out
of guilt. She's there tonight with him for the same reason, out of guilt. He's using that guilt to keep her there. I should have just insisted that she tell him the truth.
Dimitri: All right, all right, if you had given her an ultimatum, were you ready to accept her choice?
Ryan: As long as she feels this tie with Jake, we cannot be together. It's as simple as that. She'll feel badly about hurting his feelings, about -- letting down the Martins.
Dimitri: Oh, oh, I see. So you're worried about her choosing security over the love of a mad, passionate man.
Ryan: She did it before. You know, sometimes -- sometimes I wish I'd never found Jake

Singer: All by myself don't want to be all by myself anymore

Hayley: You know, it's a shame Eliot has to leave town.
Mateo: I know.
Hayley: They make such a nice couple. I thought they were getting together and everything. It's such a shame.
Mateo: Hey, we were there. If it's meant to be, he'll find his way back, right?
Hayley: Just like we did.
Mateo: That's right.

Singer: Anymore had to be sure sometimes I feel so insecure

Jack: Oh, jeez! Get a room. Right when I come over here. What's up?
Hayley: I'm sorry about Travis.
Mateo: Yeah.
Jack: Yeah, thanks. I'm still trying to realize it's true myself.
Mateo: I know the last thing you want to talk about is business right now, but we --
Hayley: We have a little business to discuss.
Mateo: A legal matter. Just a little legal matter.
Jack: You two don't have a problem of some kind, do you?
Mateo: No.
Hayley: No.
Jack: Thank God for that.
Hayley: This is a good thing.
Jack: Yeah?
Mateo: Yeah.
Jack: Well, then you come and see me when you're ready.
Hayley: Ok.
Mateo: Thanks, man.
Jack big discount.
Mateo: Yes. Thank you.
Hayley: Well, that's great. We got a lawyer. Now what?
Mateo: Divide and conquer, all right? We talk to Adam and Arlene separately about getting sole custody of Arlene's baby.
Hayley: I'll work on Adam first because if we have him on our side, it'll be easier to knock Arlene out of the picture.
Mateo: Ok.
Hayley: Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Just think, in a couple of months, God willing, we'll have a beautiful little baby in our home.
Mateo: You bet.

Singer: Anymore all by myself

Erica: Will you look at Brooke just hanging all over that man? And he's leaving town. Well, she always did wear her heart right on her sleeve.
Bianca: Mom, I think they look cute.
Jack: Hey, listen, I'm going to settle up and I'll be right back.

Erica: Yeah. You ready to go?
Bianca: Mom, are you still mad at me?
Erica: Bianca, you lied to me. I do take that very seriously.
Bianca: I know. I'm sorry. It's just -- please don't be mad at Leo.
Erica: Mad at him? I'm going to strangle him.

Ryan: When we landed in Chechnya, I thought -- I thought that we'd solved everything. We would find Jake, we would tell him the truth, and Gillian and I would be free to live together. I risked everything. I risked my life. I risked my company.
Dimitri: That took a lot of courage.
Ryan: Courage. Courage is acting without fear. I was afraid. I was afraid that if I didn't find Jake, that I would lose Gillian forever. He's the one who took the bullet. Jake took the bullet. He's the hero.
Dimitri: And from what I heard, if you hadn't killed the sniper, you'd all be dead. Ryan, you went the distance for the woman you love. If that doesn't make you a hero, I don't know what does.
Ryan: Remind me again, Dimitri, what do they say about nice guys?

[Dimitri sighs]

Dimitri: Give her a chance, Ryan. Let her find the right moment, the right words to let Jake down gently.
Ryan: Have faith, right? Trust in the power of love.
Dimitri: Most often that's all we have.

ON THE NEXT - - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Bianca: If you kick Leo out of this house, I'm right behind him.

Brooke: You told me that you stole something, but there's more to it. I'm right, aren't I?

Gillian: What are you trying to say, Jake?
Jake: I'm trying to say that I'm letting you go.
