ALL MY CHILDREN

OCTOBER 31, 2000

Leo: Try this -- you come home from school, toss your books on the shelves, and say, "Hey, Mom, I'm gay."
Bianca: And then I call you to scrape her off the ceiling?
Leo: Well, so you go for the subtle approach. Plaster your walls with pictures of Melissa Etheridge and Ellen.
Bianca: Leo, you're so not helping me.
Leo: Well, I think you're underestimating Erica. And just so you know, I'm basing this on TV and movies, not personal experience, but, you know, I think that Erica wants what most mothers want -- just for you to fit in and be happy.
Bianca: Her idea of happiness has nothing to do with who I am, Leo. I mean, she's so clueless. She actually thinks that I have a thing for you.
Leo: Oh, please. I'm every mother's nightmare. But you got to admit, I'm kind of cute.
Bianca: In a hetero kind of way.
Leo: You know, Honeylamb, your mother may not be as retro as you think. I mean, she moves in the fashion world. She lives in a Gay Mecca. You know her personal assistant Val? He's gay.
Bianca: Yeah, and I bet you she would say that some of her best friends are gay. But her daughter? No way.

Erica: Oh, come on, Greenlee, you can't possibly think you know my own daughter better than I do.
Greenlee: You might be unpleasantly surprised.
Erica: Oh, yes, because you're her best friend, aren't you? Greenlee, you're not even her type.
Greenlee: This is true. This is true. But it doesn't always take one to know one, if you know what I mean.
Erica: No, I really don't have a clue.
Jack: Miss Smythe, if you have something to say about my niece, why don't you just come out and say it?
Greenlee: Well, I hate to pop your balloon, but you're bound to find out.
Erica: Find out what?
Greenlee: Erica, your daughter has been deceiving you.
Erica: Deceiving me how?
Greenlee: She's not real keen on being the female half of the young Enchantment couple.
Erica: That's it? Look, I obviously know that my daughter has some reservations about the campaign. That's just nerves, thank you.
Greenlee: Well, it's more than just a case of the Jim-Jams. She isn't like you, Erica. She doesn't live for the spotlight or see herself as the center of the universe. She didn't inherit your man killer instincts, either. Heads don't turn when she walks into the room, men don't throw themselves at her feet, and women don't have to restrain their husbands and boyfriends.
Jack: My niece is a beautiful young woman in her own right.
Greenlee: She's cute. But she doesn't have the right look or the savvy to be a spokes model.
Erica: No, she has something much more important. She has a natural, youthful quality, a doe-eyed innocence.
Greenlee: Just like Bambi.
Erica: Oh, Greenlee. You are so jealous of Bianca and her lifestyle.
Greenlee: That is so not true.
Erica: I just hit a nerve, didn't I? You are so jealous o her relationship with Leo and the fact that now she's going to be spending 24/7 with him and you are going to be so out of the loop.
Greenlee: The young Enchantment campaign is going to fall flat on its butt because no one's going to believe that a girl like Bianca could attract a babe like Leo.
Erica: They're together now, having a great evening.
Greenlee: "They're together now, having a great evening." Oh, yeah, Erica, your daughter's having a gay old time.

Mateo: I saw that.
Hayley: Oh, I know. I don't know what's wrong with me. I am out on my feet.
Mateo: It's called sleep deprivation. That's what it's called.
Hayley: Oh, I can't sleep at night. I'm tossing and turning, worrying about Arlene. I thought for sure she would've resurfaced by now.
Mateo: Hopefully, she left town.
Hayley: You think?
Mateo: Well, what's left for her here?
Hayley: A lynch mob led by my dad.
Mateo: She'd be crazy to stick around.
Hayley: Crazy is her best event.
Mateo: Ok. Listen -- you're a zombie. You're going home, all right? Get some rest.
Hayley: You know, I -- I would sleep much better if we were in snuggle mode.
Mateo: All right, I'll ask Adrian to close early for me. Just go, ok, please.
Hayley: I love you.
Mateo: Love you, too. Drive safe.

Mateo: Hey.
Adrian: Hey.
Mateo: What's up?
Adrian: Good crowd tonight, huh?
Mateo: Yeah, yeah. Listen, can you close up early for me tonight?
Adrian: Sure, not a problem.
Mateo: Ok, listen, would you be interested in a little moonlighting after hours?
Adrian: Depends on the job.
Mateo: Right up your alley -- strictly undercover.

Dixie: What do think, David Hayward is some sort of Svengali who has me in his power? How flattering.
Tad: I asked you an honest question.
Dixie: It's insulting, Tad. I have a mind and a will of my own. No one controls me. The only influence David ever had on me was as my boss and as the signer of my paycheck.
Tad: Well, if that's the case, then why is he constantly, constantly crossing the line between your professional and our personal life? As in coming here tonight and demanding your time, especially after what happened with Jake. That's a complete invasion of privacy.
Dixie: What do you want me to do? You want me to slam the door in his face? Kick him in the groin and call the cops?
Tad: Those are three very viable options.
Dixie: I told David that what he did to Jake was reprehensible. I backed it up with my resignation. I think he got the message.
Tad: No, he didn't. Dixie, he threw it right back in your face. He actually came here tonight and asked you to go back to work for him. Now, where on earth would he get the idea that you would even consider it unless it came from you? So just tell me, I want to know -- are you sending Hayward some kind of mixed signals?
Dixie: Honey -- come on. The only signal that I'm sending David is to get lost.
Tad: Well, then he has absolutely no respect for your wishes.
Dixie: It's just because I resigned on him. Nobody has ever done that and it's just thrown him.
Tad: Baby, I don't -- I don't want this to be a putdown -- you know I don't -- but there are other people on the planet that can do that job.
Dixie: Thanks, Tad. I know that being David Hayward's assistant wasn't exactly brain surgery, but there were other services that I provided that weren't in the original job description.
Tad: Ok, all right, this is where I start to get a little nervous. What kind of services did you provide?
Dixie: I just listened to him. I listened to him.
Tad: You listened to him?
Dixie: Yes. At the end of the day, after a long day in the OR., he liked to come back to the office and talk, and I would listen. It was important, and I think he showed a side of himself that he didn't usually show the rest of the world.
Tad: Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde?
Dixie: I know, I know he is a contradiction, trust me.
Tad: Oh.
Dixie: But he has his human side, too. He saves lives. He can be incredibly vulnerable.
Tad: Oh --
Dixie: He was devastated when Erica broke up with him.
Tad: You could've fooled me.
Dixie: Well, that's what he does -- he fools people. That's his defense. But he has a heart, Tad. Really he does.
Tad: Oh, you weren't there when he went after Jake.
Dixie: And you weren't there when he gave Junior a much-needed ego boost.
Tad: Dixie, if he does something like that, it's for a purpose. It's because he wants to score points with you.
Dixie: Would you just stop it? We're just going to go round and round in circles on this. Can we just not talk about it anymore?
Tad: No! I don't like the idea of you being Hayward's shoulder to cry on, or anything else for that matter, especially if it involves sitting around his office and bonding over snifters of brandy.
Dixie: Oh, no way. You just hold on right there. How many times have you and Liza bonded over a bottle of champagne when you were closing some business deal? David and I shared some cognac once. It was one of those rare moments when he actually let somebody get close to him.
Tad: How close is close?
Dixie: Tad -- Sweetheart, it's Halloween, and I don't want to fight with you. Opal is here. She's with the boys. Let's just -- let's go out dancing. Ok? Come on, it's the witching hour. Anything can happen.
Tad: Anything?
Dixie: Anything.
Tad: Hmm. Then you'd better go strap on your dancing shoes.
Dixie: Ok, I'll be right back.
Tad: Ok.
Dixie: Ok, ok.
Tad: Ok.

David: Jack. Erica. Mind if I join you?
Jack: Actually, we're having a private conversation.
Erica: David, of course we don't mind. Please join us.
David: Thank you.
Erica: David, my goodness, what happened to your hand?
David: I was assaulted at the hospital.
Erica: That's horrible. Why would anyone assault you? Who did this?
Jack: Maybe a disgruntled patient.
Erica: Well, did hospital security catch your attacker?
David: No, I chose not to involve them. But I am taking legal action. Jack, I would like you to represent me to file charges against the doctor who did this.
Erica: A doctor did this? I don't believe it. Does Joe Martin know?
David: Oh, I'm sure he's heard by now.
Erica: David, this is completely outrageous. I mean, it's completely unethical. Of course Jack will take your case.
Jack: If you don't mind, Erica, I manage my own caseload. So far, Doc, you're a little light in the details.
David: This doctor and I have never seen eye to eye. He's clearly threatened by my success.
Jack: Does this envious doctor have a name?
David: Jake Martin. I was in the staff lounge when Jake came racing in itching for a fight. Words were exchanged. The next think I know, I'm on the floor and he's trying to bash my head in. And to make matters worse, his brother Tad joined in on the fun, proceeded to use my body as a punching bag.
Jack: Well, now, in my experience, the Martin boys don't go around picking fights. So if they got physical with you, it's probably because you gave them good reason.
David: I was simply exercising my first amendment rights.
Jack: Yeah, that's the flag guys like you wave when they don't know when to shut up.
David: Look, Jack, I was physically assaulted at my workplace. It's damn lucky that my hand wasn't more seriously injured.
Jack: Look, if I were you, I would count myself lucky and get over it.
David: So you're not going to take my case?
Jack: No. It has no merit. If Jake and Tad came in there and gave you what they gave you, I'm sure they gave it to you because you deserved it.
Erica: I'm sorry, David. Jack's his own man.
Jack: Thank you.
David: No problem. Enjoy your evening.
Jack: You, too.

David: Give me a scotch on the rocks. As a matter of fact, make it a double.

Mateo: Yeah, so Arlene totally got busted.
Adrian: All right, what for this time?
Mateo: Impersonating a human being. Then she just completely fell out of sight.
Adrian: You want me to trace her?
Mateo: I want you to find out what her next move is.
Adrian: You know her coordinates?
Mateo: Well, she was last seen fleeing the Chandler house with Vanessa Cortlandt.
Adrian: Simple enough. I'll give Vanessa a little call, check out under her bed.
Mateo: All right, listen, I can care less if she left town -- I hope she has -- but Hayley's a wreck. She's waiting for her mom, you know, to pull her next crazy stunt.
Adrian: All right, look, I'll make a couple phone calls, all right, round up a posse. If Arlene is out there, I will definitely find her.

[Hayley's nightmare]

Hayley: Who's there? Hello?
Arlene: Sweetie, you're home.
Hayley: Mom? Is that a baby? Is that my baby?
Arlene: Trick or treat!
Hayley: No!
Arlene: I tricked you! I tricked you!
Mateo: You ok?
Arlene: Oh, she's fine, but you have to disappear!
Hayley: Mateo! Mateo! No! Come back!
Arlene: Oh, save your breath! He's gone for good. It's just you and me, Sweetie. Two of a kind, just like the good old days.
Hayley: No!

[Knock on door]

Hayley: Who is it?
Children: Trick or treat!
Hayley: Ah! What do you want? Oh, candy. I know. Yes. Wow, those are really cool costumes, and really scary costumes, and really pretty costumes.
Girl: Thank you!
Hayley: You're welcome! Bye! Oh.
Arlene: Trick or treat, Sweetie.
[Hayley drops bowl of candy and it breaks]

Arlene: Sweetie, be careful. You could cut yourself. Here, let me help you. Come on.
Hayley: I don't want your help. Just go.
Arlene: Sweetie, I can't leave you with you hating me like this. Look, I have to explain about that videotape. What you saw -- Vanessa and me -- it's not what you think.
Hayley: Oh, please. Unlike you, Mom, the camera doesn't lie. You and Vanessa on that tape, oh, plotting to blame Liza for the miscarriage. You two should take your act on the road. I wish you would, believe me.
Arlene: You know what? You've got to understand where I'm coming from.
Hayley: Oh, I know exactly where you're coming from. I've heard your spiel. "Oh, I am so afraid and I'm distraught." Please. You got me over there and made me believe that you had changed your mind about letting me adopt the baby -- a baby that was already dead. How sick are you?
Arlene: All right, I lied.
Hayley: That's all you do, Arlene, is pile lie on top of lie. So just go now -- now -- before I call Mateo and have him come over and throw you out. And you don't want that because he hates you more than I do.
Arlene: Hayley, I have made my share of mistakes -- more than my share. But can't we just talk this out? Just you and me, Sweetie.

Adrian: Hey, listen, I put some phone calls out, made some queries about Arlene to find out where she's hiding.
Mateo: Try under a rock.
Adrian: Yeah.

[Telephone rings]

Adrian: Oh, what do you know.
Mateo: That was fast.
Adrian: You want results, I deliver.
Mateo: Uh-huh.
Adrian: Adrian Sword. Hey, Mom, what's up? What? When did this -- all right, listen, Mom, settle down, please. All right, what did the doctor say? Yeah, ok. All right, listen, I'm going to catch the first thing out of here, all right? Do me a favor -- just tell Dad I love him. I'm on my way.
Mateo: What's up?
Adrian: Listen, I -- I got to get out of here. My father just had a stroke.
Mateo: Yeah, go, go, go. Listen, if I can do anything, please --
Adrian: Just pray for my Dad, all right?
Mateo: All right.

Jack: Perhaps you'd like to change places with me.
Erica: Why?
Jack: Well, I wouldn't want you to get a crick in your neck batting your eyes at Hayward over there.
Erica: I'm doing no such thing, Jack.
Jack: Uh-huh.
Erica: And you know it wouldn't hurt you to take his case.
Jack: I can't. It's conflict of interests. I'm sure he started the conflict, and frankly, I'm not interested.
Erica: You don't know the whole story.
Jack: I know if Tad and Jake got physical with him, chances are he was way out of bounds.
Erica: Well, he can't be completely to blame. There are two sides to almost every story.
Jack: Right and wrong, and frankly, my money's on Jake.
Erica: Well, Jake must have done something to provoke David.
Jack: You know what, Erica? One thing I've always loved about you is your absolutely blind loyalty to your man. But tonight, it's a bore. Come on, we're getting out of here.
Erica: Why? Where we going?
Jack: Anywhere Hayward isn't.
Erica: But I'm not ready to leave, Jack.
Jack: Here's your little purse. Say your good-byes. We're out of here.
Erica: Who do you think you are?
Jack: I, my dear, am the man you came here with. Shall we?

Erica: Well, Tad Martin. I'm so glad that I ran into you. I'd like to know why you attacked David Hayward.
Jack: And I'd like to wish you both a really good night. And listen, Tad, if you and Jake need any legal help with this Hayward thing, you call me. I'm your man. I may even do it pro bono.
Erica: Jack --
jack: Say good night.
Dixie: Good night.

Tad: Oh, gee, how do you think Erica found out about my one-on-one with David?
Dixie: Uh -- I think her source is sitting right over there.
Tad: Terrific. This evening just keeps getting better and better.
Dixie: Do you want to go?
Tad: What, let him chase us out of here? Not on your life.

Greenlee: Hey. Cosmopolitan, straight up.
David: Greenlee. Drinking alone? So where's my not-so-little brother?
Greenlee: He'll be here.
David: So, you two still making each other miserable?
Greenlee: Yeah. Trying to.

Leo: You know, Binks, once the shock wears off, your mother's going to get over the fact that you're gay.
Bianca: I wish she could be like you, Leo. I mean, you didn't blink when you heard.
Leo: I grew up in Europe. Their approach to sexuality's a lot more liberated.
Bianca: Yeah, but what would you do if your mom came out and told you that she was gay?
Leo: Vanessa? God. I'd have to warn America to lock up their wives and daughters.
Bianca: What am I going to do when the next high school dance comes along, Leo?
Leo: Well, we'll were a team. Tonight was kind of a kooky kind of fun.
Bianca: But you can't be my cover forever.
Leo: Yeah, and you can't pretend to like boys just to make your mother happy. You'll be miserable.
Bianca: So, I -- I guess I have no choice. I -- I just have to tell her.
Leo: Worst-case scenario, your mother pulls a "Mommie Dearest," butchers the rose garden, and locks you in your room till they find a cure for your disease.
Bianca: She's going to flip. I can handle that.
Leo: Well, then what? You afraid she's going to send you to one of those shrinks that deprogram gays?
Bianca: I'm afraid if my mom finds out that I'm gay, she's not going to love me anymore, Leo.
Leo: Bianca, there is no way your mother would ever stop loving you.
Bianca: How do you know?
Leo: Because I have a mother lion of my own.
Bianca: Vanessa isn't a thing like my mom, Leo. I mean, she wouldn't care if you told her that you were gay.
Leo: Care? She'd be ecstatic. She would never have to share me with another woman.
Bianca: I just -- I don't want to disappoint my mom, Leo. I want to make her happy. I don't want to let her down. I mean, she's already had so many disappointments in her life.
Leo: You're not of them, Bianca.
Bianca: You know, she thinks that she loves me unconditionally, but it's not true. She has so many conditions. Like this one time she came to visit me in Seattle and I had gotten this really short, stupid haircut, and she hated it. You know, I swear, it was like I'd taken a scissor to her own head. She actually wanted to buy me a wig. And I couldn't get her to calm down until I explained to her that it would grow out. But I'm not going to grow out of being gay. So all the dreams that she has for me are ruined.

Arlene: Hayley, what I did to Liza was hateful. I know that. But I wasn't myself. I mean, I had just lost a baby. I felt like I was losing everything. And then I fell under Vanessa's influence. I don't know why I listened to her. I mean, maybe it's because of what you said, that I was desperate. All I know is that I wanted to hang on to Adam just so that I could get closer to you, so that we could be a family again, so I could be a mother to you in the way that I wasn't when you were growing up. Is that so unforgivable?

[Music plays]

Tad: What do you say we take this out to the dance floor? Dixie: Yeah, I'd love to.

[David daydreams about dancing with Dixie]

[Singing in Spanish]

David: May I cut in?
Tad: Get lost.
Dixie: He was talking to me.
Singer: Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm I wish I didn't feel it I know it just ain't right but it seems to pop up in my head morning, noon, and night I just can't release it the memory of you mama never told me love would leave me so damn blue and I got misery 'cause I know loving you is a sin and I've been on my knees baby, I don't get it baby, you and me never, ever could have been so I got misery misery misery misery

Hayley: You know what, Arlene? I do have dreams of having a family -- big dreams -- but they don't include you. So give it up. We're never going to be one big, happy tribe.
Arlene: Sweetie -- Sweetie, nothing has been right since I've lost that baby. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I can't even put two words together.
Hayley: Oh, you're doing just fine.
Arlene: Look, I -- I'm not fine. I am not fine. Maybe I have postpartum depression -- I don't know. I feel like I should check myself into a clinic to get help.
Hayley: Knock yourself out.
Arlene: Well -- you know, the doctors are very high-priced nowadays and I don't have insurance, and I was wondering if you could spot me --
Hayley: Forget it! There's no way I'm going to bankroll your next binge. I'll tell you what, though -- I will give you enough bus fare to get to Center City. After that, you're on your own.

Mateo: What are you doing here?
Hayley: Oh, don't worry. She just stopped by to say good-bye. Arlene's leaving town and she's never coming back -- ever.
Arlene: Hayley, don't do this to me, please.
Mateo: Arlene, Arlene, she wants you to leave. Go! Calling the cops.
Arlene: Hayley -- just let me spend the night here, please. I -- I won't make any trouble. I'll sleep on the couch.
Mateo: You think I'm bluffing? Try me.

Leo: Sure. Of course she has dreams for you, but your dreams count just as much as hers.
Bianca: I don't think I have any dreams, Leo.
Leo: Oh, come on, Bianca. That's ridiculous. Everybody has dreams. Big ones, like driving a race car at le mans. And little ones like -- I don't know -- whatever life's equivalent is of those little mints on your pillow at bedtime.
Bianca: My dream is that my mother will always look at me with love. But I know that's impossible.
Leo: Why?
Bianca: Because I know my mother, Leo. Once you do something to let her down or disappoint her, it's like you're completely off her list, vanished from her life. It's the way it was with my dad and all of her ex-husbands, and I know for a fact that she hasn't spoken to Kendall since she moved to Florida.
Leo: Who's Kendall?
Bianca: My half-sister.
Leo: Huh. Wow, she never even mentioned Kendall before.
Bianca: See? It's like she never even existed. Kendall was my sister who was conceived when my mother was raped.
Leo: There you go. Kendall reminds your mother of pain that she'd rather forget. But it's different for you. You were conceived out of love. You're always going to be her little girl. Bianca: Her little girl who loves other girls. You know, Leo, there's somebody else that I'm really worried about. What if Greenlee tells everybody that I'm gay? What if she tells my mother before I'm ready?
Leo: No, don't worry about that. I'm going to make sure that Greenlee shuts her mouth. Which reminds me -- I told her that I was going to meet her at the S.O.S. A while ago. You want to come with?
Bianca: No, I don't think so. I think that I've had enough fun for one day. I'm going to head home.
Leo: I'll drive you.
Bianca: That's ok. I'd rather walk.
Leo: All right, well, make sure you call me when you get home. Call me on my cell phone.
Bianca: Ok.
Leo: Hey.
Leo: It's going to be all right.
Bianca: See you later.
Leo: Bye-bye. Don't talk to strangers.

Greenlee: Leo, I was waiting for you at S.O.S.
Leo: I was talking to Bianca. She just went home. What's going on? Party boring or what?
Greenlee: No, the joint was jumping. I ran into Erica.
Leo: God, tell me you didn't mention Bianca in the gay bar.
Greenlee: Hmm. Let's review the scorecard, Leo. You got mad because you thought I didn't believe in you. You let my granddad buy you off. Now you think I'm a double ratfink. Are we even or what?

[Music plays]

Tad: Seriously, is it my after-shave or my minty-fresh breath?
Dixie: What?
Tad: Well, Baby, if you were dancing any closer to me, you'd be behind me. Not that I'm complaining.
Dixie: Well, good, because have plans for you later.
Tad: Do they involve taking me right here on the dance floor? It's not even open-fly night. Besides, what would your friend Hayward say?
Dixie: Who cares.
Tad: Well, I think you might.
Dixie: That's just a really awful thing to say.
Tad: Baby, I'm sorry, ok? I apologize. I didn't mean it as an insult. It's just that he's been watching you all night long like he's a man on death row and you're his last meal.

Adrian: Hey, guys.
Tad: Hey.
Adrian: Listen, I don't want to ruin your party, but I figured you should know -- I need to go back home.
Dixie: Is everything ok?
Adrian: My father had a stroke.
Dixie: Oh.
Tad: Oh, Adrian.
Adrian: Listen, he's a fighter. He'll be all right. I know Petey and Opal are still out of town.
Tad: Don't worry about it, don't worry about it. Listen, you don't even have to ask. Did you want a ride to the airport?
Adrian: No, actually, I'm going to go over to Tina's. I'm sure she'll want to volunteer for that, so I can let her know I'm going out of town.
Tad: Take care, ok?
Dixie: Yeah, keep in touch, please?
Tad: Please.
Adrian: Listen -- tell Jake I'll call him.
Tad: Yeah. I will.
Adrian: All right.
Tad: God bless.
Adrian: Thanks.

[Telephone rings]

tad: Sorry. Yeah? Yeah, hi, Pop. No, not today. Why? I'm sure he's fine. Oh, ok, fine. We'll take a look. Bye. That was Dad. Now he's worried about Jake. Apparently, he disappeared from the hospital earlier today and nobody's seen him.
Dixie: Listen, let me just go to the ladies' room real quick and we'll go over your dad's house.
Tad: Ok, ok. I'll be here.

David: Tad Martin. To what do I owe this pleasure?
Tad: Just thought I'd give you a two-minute warning.

Mateo: Better hustle, Arlene. Cops are on their way. What am I going to charge you with? I'm going to charge you with trespassing, harassment, and while you're in jail, it'll give Adam -- Adam can charge you with fraud.

[Sirens approach]

Arlene: Hayley, please help me.
Hayley: The way I see it, you've got two choices -- stay and go to jail or run for your life.
Arlene: No matter what else you believe, I do love you.

Mateo: It's over now. She's gone, baby.
Hayley: No. It'll never be over. Not until she's dead and buried. Maybe not even then.

Leo: Greenlee, stop playing games with me. Did you tell Erica about Bianca? Please tell me that I can trust you.
Greenlee: You can trust me with your life -- and Blanca's. Her secret's safe with me. Aren't I the best?

[Leo sighs]

Leo: Don't you ever scare me like that again.
Greenlee: I could've told Erica. And actually, I wanted to. She's always been so nasty to me.
Leo: What stopped you?
Greenlee: You did. I stuck to the high road, even though it almost gave me a nosebleed, because I knew it's what you'd want me to do.
Leo: Yeah, well, reaching new heights can always be a scary thing. Thank you for protecting Bianca.
Greenlee: Thank me again.
Leo: Ok.

Erica: Well, how out of touch am I? That snippy little Greenlee Smythe, insinuating all those things about Bianca and how unhappy she is.
Jack: Look, if I were you, I'd consider the source and just try to forget about it.
Erica: Oh, I would like to. I know I should. But how can I? I mean, Bianca never opens up to me. And where is Leo with Bianca? Leo should've had Bianca home by now.
Jack: Erica, I'm sure they just stopped off for a bite to eat after the dance.
Erica: Bianca is on curfew. Leo knows that.
Jack: And Leo also knows that if he tries to get amorous, you would skin him alive and I would hold him down while you did it.

Erica: Oh, Honey. Hi.
Bianca: Hi.
Erica: Hi. How was the dance?
Jack: Hi, Hon.
Bianca: Uh, it was OK.
Erica: Well, where's Leo?
Bianca: He wanted to party with Greenlee.
Jack: Oh, well, you know, when you're right, you're right. Listen, it's past my bedtime. I got to go. Come here. We'll see you both soon, ok? Bye-bye.

Erica: Well, Honey, sit down here. Sit down here, Honey, and tell me all about your evening. Bianca: I would rather hear about yours.
Erica: Well, I went dancing with Uncle Jack to S.O.S. I ran into Greenlee Smythe. Bianca, she told me something about you that I wish she hadn't. So I need to ask you, is it true? Because if it is, we're in big trouble.

Tad: Couldn't help but notice the way you stare at my wife. You want her. The only thing is you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell because she hasn't got a void left that you could hope to fill on your best day.
