ALL MY CHILDREN

OCTOBER 23, 2001

PREVIOUSLY - - - ON ALL MY CHILDREN

Bianca: You know, nothing happened tonight between me and Frankie, but that doesn't even matter to you because whatever I do will be wrong. I can't take it. I don't want to live here anymore.

Mateo: I'm getting sucked in deeper and deeper. What if Proteus makes his move before I can get out?

Tad: Leslie's back in line.
Jesse: And you are a fool.
Tad: I know she's a little bit of a nut, but I can handle her.

TODAY'S - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Mateo: Hey.
Simone: Hey.
Mateo: You got my message, huh? Thanks for coming in early.
Simone: Oh, no problem.
Mateo: We alone?
Simone: Yeah, no customers. Yeah, what's up?
Mateo: Someone left a package at my door last night addressed to my kid. Check it out.
[Mateo shows Simone the large piggy bank sent to Lorenzo]

Simone: Oh, wow. Hmm. Any note?
Mateo: That's the note -- that they can get to my family anytime they want.
Simone: Your wife see this?
Mateo: Of course not. Who would I tell her it's from, our friendly neighborhood drug lord? Why me? Why -- why me? You know this guy. Why did he pick me? They could've forced anybody to sell their stuff for them.
Simone: You know why, Mateo. You're -- not everyone loves their family the way you do.
Mateo: And now they're messing with my kid? They're sending stuff to my kid? As if I'd let my wife or kid anywhere near something --
[Mateo throws the bank and it breaks]

Simone: Ok. Well, at least we know it's not loaded. Wait a minute. What's this? It's more instructions, Mateo. Addressed to you.

[Brooke's office at Tempo]

[Phone rings]

Phoebe: Yes? Please hold for ms. English. And be patient. It may be a while. Thank you.

Brooke: Fred, what are all these things doing out here? And why are these lines lit up like Christmas?
Fred: Mrs. Wallingford can explain.
Brooke: Aunt Phoebe. What are you doing here?
Phoebe: Covering your desk. And, Darling, you do need more help. And you have a few calls.
Brooke: A few? They're all --
Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello.
Phoebe: What is an eight-letter word for "pain in the behind"?
Brooke: Relative?
Phoebe: Wrong number of letters, and not funny.
Brooke: Uh-huh. Ahem. You know, Aunt Phoebe, I -- it's very sweet of you to volunteer your time. I really appreciate it.
Phoebe: Who's volunteering? I was hired.
Brooke: You were hired? As what?
Phoebe: As your official secretary. Now, about what you're wearing --
Brooke: Oh, my official secretary and my wardrobe consultant. Are you on medication?
Phoebe: Didn't you get the e-mail?
Brooke: What e-mail?
Edmund: Mine.

[Erica and Chris talk at her house]

Chris: Wow.
Erica: Well -- the thing is we've had our share of fights, but it never felt like so much was at stake before. Thank you for staying over last night.
Chris: You're welcome.
Erica: Were you comfortable on the couch?
Chris: Very. Look, I usually snore like a buzz saw, so --
Erica: But it was very comforting knowing that -- that you were here in the house.
Chris: You were awake?
Erica: Yeah. I just kept hearing Bianca's words in my head all night, just every hateful, defiant thing that she said.
Chris: You said that you were going to expose Frankie, Erica.
Erica: Yes, I am. I just haven't figured out how yet.
Chris: I could use a cup of coffee. How about you?
Erica: I'd love that, thank you.
Chris: Ok, I'll get it.
Erica: Ok.

[Doorbell rings]

Erica: Opal, hi. Is Bianca with you?
Opal: Um -- well, no. She's -- she's still back at my place.
Erica: Oh, Opal. Please tell me that she stayed up all night talking to you.
Opal: Well, I can't tell you that, honey. It would be a lie.
Erica: Where did she sleep?
Opal: In Frankie's room.

[Meanwhile, in Frankie's room at Opal's]

Bianca: Can I wear this today?
Frankie: I don't think your mother will like it.
Bianca: Even better.
Frankie: Is that why you're here?
Bianca: I'm here because you called me. You said that you were alone and scared, and I thought you needed company.
Frankie: I did.
Bianca: Well, so did I. Isn't it amazing the way we connected last night? I mean, all night I've just felt so close to you, like this is home. And when I woke up today, it's -- I can't even describe it. It's like anything is possible, you know?
Frankie: No. God, Bianca, I feel more trapped than ever.

[Dixie dreams Leslie is attacking her]

[Dixie screams]
[Dixie screams]

Tad: Whoa. Whoa, Honey. It's ok, it's ok. Hey, it's just me. It's me. Everything's all right.
Dixie: No, she was here. She was here. She hit you.
Tad: No, no, Baby, listen to me --
Dixie: She was here.
Tad: Dixie, Dixie, you were dreaming, baby. You were dreaming, ok? It's just a nightmare. There's no one here.
Dixie: Oh, God, that was really real.
Tad: Who knocked me out? What are you -- who hit me? What -- you remember what you were dreaming?
Dixie: Leslie Coulson. Tad: Leslie Coulson? Honey, where'd that come from?
Dixie: I don't know. I haven't thought about her in ages. I mean, why would I think about her now?

Erica: You let Bianca sleep in the same room with that guttersnipe, under your own roof, Opal?
Opal: Erica, Honey, believe me, if I had known that that girl was related to Vanessa the vicious --
Erica: Well, you know now, and you still haven't kicked her out?
Opal: She is leaving today. I wasn't going to toss her into the street in the middle of the night. That's why she was there. And then Bianca showed up.
Erica: We had a terrible fight.
Opal: Yeah, I could tell. I mean, she was miserable.
Erica: Why didn't you just send her home?
Opal: Well, I suggested that, but she insisted on staying, saying that she needed time to simmer down.
Erica: And you have how many bedrooms in your house and you couldn't give Bianca one of her own?
Opal: She wanted to be with her friend, Honey.
Erica: And you didn't forbid it?
Opal: "Forbid it"? What was I supposed to do? What, put them in straitjackets, lock them up? I mean, they were determined to be together.
Erica: Why? Why? I mean, this just doesn't make any sense.
Opal: Well, I'm afraid the only one who can help you there is Bianca.
Erica: Yeah, and she isn't here.

[Chris comes into the room carry two cups of coffee]

Chris: Morning, Opal. Everything ok?
Erica: Actually, I am so very glad that you're here.

[Phone rings]

Chris: Sorry. Excuse me. Stamp. Ok. No, no, no, no, no. No, that's big. Ok, later on.

Chris: I've got to go. I hate to leave you in the lurch like this --
Erica: No, really, that's fine. You've really done enough already. I'm very grateful. Just go and do whatever you have to do.
Chris: I'll check in later. Bye, Opal.
Opal: Mr. Stamp.

Opal: So, did I miss something? Breakfast with your bodyguard? Isn't that how it started for Patty Hearst?
Erica: Oh, Opal, please, don't start with me.
Opal: Well, how does this look to Bianca?
Erica: If what? I am not sleeping with Chris.
Opal: Oh, "Chris"?
Erica: Yes, he did stay over last night, but he slept on the couch.
Opal: Well, whatever you say.
Erica: Opal, I was so upset about Bianca that it just -- it felt nice to have somebody here with me in the house, somebody who cared.
Opal: Well, maybe that's all Bianca wants from Frankie. Or maybe not. But, you know, even if there's more going on, Honey, you're going to have to make peace with it.
Erica: Are you serious? You expect me to just sit back and do nothing when I know very well that my daughter's about to be terribly hurt?

Bianca: Tell me what you meant when you said that you felt trapped.
Frankie: I don't know. Just forget it, ok?
Bianca: Do I make you feel that way?
Frankie: Look, we're just hanging out. Don't make a big deal out of it.
Bianca: It is a big deal -- to me. I -- you know, I've never stood up to my mother like this before.
Frankie: I had nothing to do with that. That was all you. I just happened to be around when it all happened.
Bianca: No, it's more than that. It's like -- I love my mother.
Frankie: I got that.
Bianca: And I -- I keep expecting her to accept me for who I am. And then you come along --
Frankie: She freaks.
Bianca: And -- and I realize that this is going to keep happening, even though she loves me, too. I'm going to meet somebody, and I'm going to like them, and that's going to set her off over and over and over and over again, and it's got to stop. And you made me see that. That's why I feel like I owe you.
Frankie: I didn't do anything. Listen, if anyone owes anyone anything, I owe you. I needed you last night, and you were here like that. No one would ever do anything like that for me.
Bianca: I'm not like most people.
Frankie: I'm beginning to see that.
Bianca: Neither are you.
Frankie: Want to bet?
Bianca: Most people, if they were lonely or scared, they would've just run away from that. But you didn't. You called me. And I came over, and we made a real connection.
Frankie: I guess.
Bianca: Ok. Maybe I just imagined it because I've been lonely and scared myself.
Frankie: No. I felt a connection, too. It's just -- it's more complicated.
Bianca: What you're feeling?
Frankie: Everything. I mean, what you did with your mom -- I mean, that was major.
Bianca: Well, I told her that I couldn't live there anymore, and I'm not going to back down from that.
Frankie: She'll fight you.
Bianca: I'm ready. Are you?
Frankie: What do you mean?
Bianca: I mean I have to live my own life. So, do I do it alone or do I do it with you?

Simone: What does it say? Do they want you to be a middleman for another shipment of drugs?
Mateo: No. I did such a great job the first time, now they want to give me a promotion.
Simone: To what?
Mateo: I got to open up a laundromat for the dirty money.
Simone: At do you mean, like, through the club
Mateo: Yeah. Full-service operation here. Money laundering, drug running. I mean, why didn't I think of it? This is the perfect place. There's plenty of traffic in and out of this place, deliveries every day. It's a cash business. They know that.
Simone: I hope you're not thinking that this is all your fault. All right, Mateo, there's nothing that you could've done to prevent this.
Mateo: Oh, yeah? I didn't even fight it. What do you mean, there's nothing I could've done?
Simone: Keep your voice down.
Mateo: Why? Why?
Simone: Customers are coming in.
Mateo: I don't care. You think I care about the customers, huh?
Simone: Look, you can't give up now, all right? Just have to figure out what your next move is.
Mateo: Ah, I'm way ahead of you, lady. There's only one thing for me to do.

[Mateo pours more vodka into his glass - but it's really water]

Simone: You don't want to get loaded.
Mateo: Hmm. Yes, I do. I'm ok.
Simone: You've been knocking them back.
Mateo: It's water.
Simone: You rigged the bottle.
Mateo: Yeah. It's an act. If he thinks I'm losing it, then --
Simone: You think Proteus is buying it?
Mateo: Mm-hmm. I think so. I mean, we found the little note in this present, didn't I?
Simone: Like Proteus was expecting you to freak out.
Mateo: Yeah.
Simone: Got it.
Mateo: And if he thinks I'm coming apart at the seams, then maybe he'll drop his guard.
Simone: You think Proteus is watching us now?
Mateo: Don't you think he could bribe anybody here? The staff?
Simone: In that case -- you know, it just doesn't look good, you hitting the bottle this early.
Mateo: Don't you have work to do? As a matter of fact, I want you to deliver this to "Tempo."
Simone: Uh-huh.
Mateo: And hurry up before it gets cold.

Phoebe: Just think about it, my dear. Who better than I to be your assistant? After all, I do know you inside out.
Brooke: Hmm, that's what I'm afraid of.
Phoebe: Well, now, I hope you'll forgive me, but I do have a few odds and ends that I have to clear up.
Brooke: Oh, leaving so soon? You just got here.
Phoebe: Don't worry. I shall return. Till then, ta-ta.

Brooke: Don't trip.

Brooke: Truthfully, I've missed her edge. You can be a prince sometimes.
Edmund: And the other times?
Brooke: I'm getting to that.
Edmund: What'd I do now?
Brooke: You are stonewalling me about Proteus, and I want you to name your source.
Edmund: Not until the investigation's over. And when the story breaks, the law takes over.
Brooke: Are you making this decision for both of us?
Edmund: I guess I am.
Brooke: That's amazing. One minute a prince, the next a chauvinist pig.

Frankie: I'm not really used to this, but I'm kind of scared.
Bianca: You're scared of me?
Frankie: Not exactly. You're one of the most together people I've ever met.
Bianca: I wish thought that.
Frankie: You know, and when I'm around you, I feel good about myself.
Bianca: Hey.
Frankie: Problem is, well, Opal kicked me out, so we need to find a place to crash.
Bianca: That sounded good -- "we" find a place.
Frankie: Well, are you ready to rough it?
Bianca: Yeah, I'm ready!
Bianca: I just need to take care of one thing.
Frankie: What's that?
Bianca: My mother.
Frankie: Good luck.

Dixie: I don't get it. I thought I was doing so much better with that.
Tad: Baby, you are doing better.
Dixie: Then why -- why would I dream about Leslie stalking me?
Tad: I don't know.
Dixie: And you.
Tad: You don't have to worry, ok? Listen, you remember I told you that I hired some private investigators?
Dixie: Yeah.
Tad: Well -- trust me. If Leslie comes out of hiding long enough to show her face anywhere in this half of the country, our guys are going to let us know. Ok?
Dixie: Ok.
Tad: Ok. Here. Maybe this'll wake you up.
Dixie: Ok. I'm going to go wash my face.
Tad: Ok. All right.
Dixie: Shake it off.
Tad: Ok.
Dixie: Ok. Thanks.

Tad: You stink. How low can you go?
Jesse: Excuse me?
Tad: Don't deny it. You sent Dixie that nightmare. It had to be you.
Jesse: Yeah, well, I tried to send it to you, but you weren't accepting delivery.
Tad: Great, so you torture my wife with visions of a woman who nearly killed her?
Jesse: Hey, it was a woman that you recruited for some shady, underhanded business.

[Tad dials the phone]

[Phone rings]

Pam: Hello?
Tad: Hey, Pam, it's Tad Martin.
Pam: Tad.
Tad: Yeah, listen. I'm -- I'm sorry about the call. I just want to check on something, ok? Is Leslie still there with you?
Pam: Yeah, she's making breakfast. Tad, what is this about?
Tad: Uh -- well, you know, I'm just curious. You know, she making any progress?
Pam: Well, she's stable, at least. She's taking her medication. She's seeing a therapist.
Tad: Good. Good. I'm glad. Listen, I got to run, but I'm going to check in with you every once in a while, ok?
Pam: Ok. Tad, I'm not going to tell her that you called.
Tad: Yeah, it's just as well. She'd probably just be upset about it. Thanks, Pam.

Tad: Listen, Casper. I don't care what kind of mission you think you're on. Do not mess with Dixie's dreams again.
Jesse: Watch your step, Tad. Next time might not be a dream.
Tad: There's not going to be a next time. All I need to do is scratch up a little dirt on David Hayward. That's all.

[Doorbell rings]

Tad: Hey.
Chris: Glad you're home. You got a minute?
Tad: For you, always. Come on.
Chris: Thanks. Dixie around?
Tad: Yeah. Is that a problem?
Chris: No, no. No problem. But I do need to speak to you both.
Dixie: Hi, Chris.
Chris: Hey.
Dixie: Thought I heard voices.
Chris: How you doing, Dix? Sorry to barge in like this --
Dixie: It's all right.
Chris: But I just got back the results of Sweeney's autopsy report.
Dixie: Oh.
Tad: Tell me I'm still in the clear.
Chris: You're still in the clear.
Tad: That's good news.
Dixie: Well, what happened? I mean, I know they struggled and the gun went off and Sweeney collapsed, but -- I mean, that's what -- right?
Chris: That's it, that's it.
Tad: So, what killed him?
Chris: Heart failure. But the coroner found a needle prick on his body.
Dixie: What does that mean? Does that mean he was drugged?
Chris: Looks that way.
Tad: Well, what did they find in his system?
Chris: Nothing they could trace.
Dixie: I don't get it.
Tad: I do. He's saying that Sweeney was a dead man before he ever broke into our hotel suite.
Chris: Any sign of that?
Tad: Well, not that I could see.
Chris: Did he say anything to you?
Tad: Besides the fact that he wanted to kill me?
Chris: Yeah.
Tad: He didn't get around to it.
Chris: You think there's a possibility there might've been someone else with him?
Tad: How would we know? You're the one that told us that you thought he was on a plane.
Chris: Ok, ok. Let's just forget about Sweeney for right now. I need info on someone else.
Tad: Who?
Chris: David Hayward.

Opal: You know, Honey, I really do know how you're feeling right now, and it's no fun, but you're being such a Mama Hen that Bianca can hardly breathe.
Erica: You know what, Opal? I don't need your advice on mothering right now.
Opal: Excuse me?
Erica: I know what kind of a mother you were to Jenny, your daughter, when she was Bianca's age.
Opal: Yeah, and I didn't get a second chance with Jenny. And you know what I would do to hold her in my arms again just -- just for a second, even.

[Keys jingle]

[Bianca comes in the front door]

Opal: Uh -- I'll see you two later.

Erica: Bianca, I'm so glad you're home.
Bianca: Oh, no. I'm sorry. This isn't my home anymore.
Erica: Bianca, this will always be your home.
Bianca: Well, it doesn't feel that way. I just came by to get some stuff and then I'm going.
Erica: Look, I know that we had a big fight last night and -- and we both said some very harsh things to each other, but you know that I would never hurt you on purpose, just like I know that you would never hurt me. So, please, can we just -- can we sit down and talk about this please?
Bianca: What do you want to talk about first, Mom? The sleeping arrangements at Opal's?
Erica: Bianca --
Bianca: Isn't that why she came over here? To tell you? To fill you in?
Erica: Opal wanted me to know that you were safe.
Bianca: So you're saying that you didn't ask her where I slept?
Erica: You don't know -- you don't understand why I want to know.
Bianca: I understand, Mom. I understand perfectly. You don't want to see me get hurt.
Erica: Yes, that's true.
Bianca: And your solution would be to lock me up for the rest of my life.
Erica: Oh, no, Honey, of course not.
Bianca: Well, that's good, Mom, because I'm not happy here and that's not going to change.
Erica: Where would you be happy?
Bianca: With Frankie. And you can't stop me.

Chris: So you haven't been to Hayward's lab?
Dixie: No, not in months. But I know he uses the hospital's facilities.
Tad: You still haven't answered the question. Why do you think that Hayward's involved in your investigation?
Chris: He was -- he knew Sweeney's dead kid, right?
Tad: Chris, you know he did. Get to the point. How is Hayward connected?
Chris: Suppose I ask the questions, Tad.
Tad: You going to jerk me around? I had a gun stuck in my ribs not too long ago, remember?
Chris: Oh, I remember that you made a bad situation a hell of a lot worse, and I had to bail you out a number of times, ok? So you owe me.
Tad: Ok, I owe you. I owe you. I admit it, all right? I just want to say, for the record, that if you think David's in any way connected to this thing, I'll do anything I can to get you what you need to put him away for the rest of his life.
Chris: Good.
Tad: Ok, good. Now, can we move on? Just answer the question -- is Hayward a suspect in your drug investigation?
Chris: He's on the list.
Dixie: As what?
Chris: Have you ever heard of the name "Proteus"?
Dixie: No. What is that?
Chris: Proteus is the God of disguises and that's what the drug lord is calling himself right now.
Tad: Twisted.
Chris: Definitely.
Tad: So wait a minute. We're talking about the head of this whole organization, right?
Chris: Yeah.
Dixie: You really think that could be David?
Chris: Well, we're still gathering information, but he definitely fits the profile.
Dixie: How?
Chris: He's established, he's connected to pharmaceuticals, and he's got enough money to move around freely.
Tad: And -- and he's got the medical expertise to be able to give Sweeney some kind of untraceable injection.
Chris: That, too.
Dixie: Why would he do that?
Chris: Officer. Sweeney was a loose cannon who got out of control, and obviously he wasn't supposed to die until after he killed Tad.
Tad: And Hayward hates my guts, so framing me for that kid's murder would be a total bonus.
Chris: I'll have to admit that thought crossed my mind, too.
Tad: Dixie, this is starting to make sense. Hayward could be the one.
Dixie: No, I just don't think that's possible.
Tad: Why not?
Dixie: I know you don't want to hear me say this, but I don't think that Hayward could be Proteus.

Brooke: Would you like to know what makes Proteus tick?
Edmund: I'm working on it.
Brooke: You're working on getting the facts, I could give you a face to go with them. It's what I do best. Ahem. And I could give you more, Edmund, if you put me in the loop.
Edmund: If I did that, you'd figure out where I'm getting my leads.

[Knock on door]

Brooke: Yeah, come in.
Simone: Someone here ordered takeout from S.O.S.?
Brooke: Oh, you must have the wrong office.
Edmund: No, I -- that's -- that's me. I didn't have breakfast. That about cover it?
Simone: Yeah. Thanks. And don't worry, I put the extra ketchup inside just the way you ordered it.
Edmund: Great.

Brooke: Since when do you like extra ketchup?

Edmund: I always -- you never noticed that?
Brooke: If you're hungry, how come you're not eating?
Edmund: Brooke, stop.
Brooke: What is in the S.O.S. bag that you're hiding from me?
Edmund: I'm not hiding anything.
Brooke: Mateo. I'm right. It's Mateo, isn't it? Mateo is your source. Edmund, you have to tell me. Has Proteus targeted Mateo?

[Phone rings]

Mateo: S.O.S.
Man: [Distorted voice] Mr. Santos?
Mateo: Hey, do I know you? I'm just kidding. Hey, listen, about that message you left me --
Man: Then you got it?
Mateo: Yeah. Now, did you think that was funny? I mean, you sent it to my kid. Now, I told you not to do that, ok?
Man: Mr. Santos, we give the orders, not you. Just deal with the money we're sending you and nobody has to get hurt.
Mateo: Ok. Yeah, I'll -- I'll clean it for you. Now, do you want it fluffed and folded?
Man: Are you drinking, Mr. Santos?
Mateo: Hey, man --
Man: This early in the morning?
Mateo: My -- my life's gone to hell. I -- I've got to kill the pain. What can I say?
Man: You can do that on your own time, after you finished the jobs we've given you. You don't want to mess this up. The punishment will be quick and very messy.

Simone: You ok?
Mateo: Yeah. Did you make the delivery?
Simone: Yeah. Even got a decent tip.

Tad: Don't tell me you're actually going to stand there and defend David Hayward.
Dixie: Oh, believe me, that's the last thing that I want to do.
Tad: Well, then don't.
Dixie: I'm just saying, I know he has done selfish and even immoral things, but he respects the medical oath that he took.
Chris: That could be a cover.
Dixie: I don't think so.
Tad: Dixie, if he respects his oath so much, then how could he poison an entire boatload full of people?
Dixie: You know how he could -- his reasons were personal.
Chris: Yeah, I heard. Still risky for a guy who loves to play hero.
Tad: I agree.
Chris: And no one's been able to make charges against him stick.
Tad: Not yet.
Chris: That means he's got some connections.
Tad: Come on, Dixie, at least it makes you wonder.
Dixie: I don't know. I know David, and I -- I just know there's a line that he wouldn't cross.
Chris: Oh, Dixie, if I had a dollar for every time I'd heard that, I'd be as rich as Proteus. Well, I got what I came for. Tad: Listen, if you hear anything, you let us know, ok?
Chris: Yeah.
Dixie: Look, I'm not standing up for David. I'm just trying to be fair. Maybe it would be easier if he was Proteus. You know, he'd just be out of our lives forever.
Tad: Yeah. He would. I guess I'm just going to have to make my peace with all of it.
Dixie: I guess so. Thanks.

Jesse: Just for the record, Dixie, Tad ain't made peace with nothing.

Dixie: Did you say something?
Tad: No, not me.
Dixie: Sorry.

Tad: Are you for real?
Jesse: Well, that would depend on your perspective of "real," now, wouldn't it? But your point would be, what? Tad: That Chris is an FBI agent, ok? You heard him. He thinks that Hayward's guilty.
Jesse: He said "maybe," Tad. But here's the thing -- I'm beginning to think that you might be right.
Tad: Huh?
Jesse: Well, it's either that or I'm just tired of slamming up against your hard head. Whatever. I'm willing to make you a deal, even though it means breaking a few rules.

Opal: Frankie?
Frankie: Don't worry. I'll be out of here like yesterday.
Opal: Well, I wasn't there checking up on that. I thought maybe you and me could have a -- a little talk.
Frankie: About what? My Aunt Vanessa and how she's the wicked witch of Pine Valley?
Opal: Well, for once, your Auntie Vanessa isn't the problem.
Frankie: What is?
Opal: Well, what you were doing with Erica and Bianca.
Frankie: I'm not doing anything, Opal.
Opal: Well, maybe not on purpose. But, you know, those two really love each other, and ever since you came on the scene, they just seem to get pulled further and further apart.
Frankie: Oh, so it's my fault?
Opal: Well, I don't know. You tell me. Are you badmouthing Erica to Bianca? Because that's a sacred bond they got. You know, you mess with that, you are hurting Bianca big time.
Frankie: I'm not trying to hurt Bianca, ok? Why don't you all just get off my back?

Erica: Since you're going to be living with Frankie, do you mind if I ask where?
Bianca: Well, if Opal kicks us out, then -- we'll get a room at the Pine Cone, at least until we can get jobs and find something better.
Erica: Look, that girl is going to leave you just as soon as she gets a better offer.
Bianca: Mom, honestly, would you care if I was being used as long as it was a man using me?
Erica: I don't want you to be used by anyone, Bianca. I just want you to be happy.
Bianca: I am happy. Clearly, you can't stand it.
Erica: I thought being happy meant being true to yourself.
Bianca: Yeah, that's right.
Erica: Well, this isn't you. The way you're behaving, the way you look -- this is her. It's as if the real Bianca has gone away. I feel like I'm not even looking at my daughter anymore.
Bianca: Maybe you're not. I have an address book somewhere.
Erica: I am still your mother and you are a minor, and you are not going anywhere.
Bianca: Yeah, I am.
Erica: You take one more step and I swear, I will call the police.
Erica: You can call my bluff, you can walk right through that door, Bianca, but I swear to you, I will call the police.
Bianca: And what are they going to do? They going to drag me back in here?
Erica: If you don't come back voluntarily.
Bianca: I cannot believe that you're threatening me.
Erica: No, this is not a threat, Bianca. I will do this.
Bianca: Fine, you -- go ahead.

[Bianca starts to leave - and Erica dials the phone]

Erica: Yes, hello. This is Erica Kane.

Bianca: You're unbelievable!

Erica: May I speak with Lt. Frye, please?

Bianca: Mom, stop it!
Erica: Does that mean you're staying?
Bianca: I'll sleep here until I'm old enough to move out, but I'm going to spend all my time with Frankie and you cannot stop me.
Erica: Look, Bianca, I know that you hate me right now, but if that's how I can get through to you --
Bianca: How, by being a bully?
Erica: Yeah if that's what it takes, I will do it. I will do anything to keep you from being crushed by that girl.
Bianca: "That girl" is my friend.
Erica: No, that girl is poison! And you are worth so much more than that.

[Back at SOS]

Mateo: Hey, what can I get you?
Frankie: That depends. I heard this was a good place to party.
Mateo: You got ID?
Frankie: I don't drink.
Mateo: All right. Good for you.
Frankie: I mean, I'm talking about something stronger.
Mateo: Like what?
Frankie: I don't know. Herb, weed. So, you going to hook me up, or what?

Brooke: Well, it's obviously not good news from the expression on your face.
Edmund: We knew Proteus had big plans. They just got bigger.
Brooke: Edmund, then you have to bring me in on this.
Edmund: No. No. Absolutely not. These guys have threatened Mateo and his family and everybody close to him. Brooke, this note was found on a toy on Mateo's doorstep with his wife and his baby sleeping inside.
Brooke: Oh, my God.
Edmund: Yeah. It's bad, and you're not going anywhere near it.
Brooke: Look, I -- I appreciate you -- your concern about that.
Edmund: It's not just for you, ok? If you gamble with your life, you're not the only one that loses. Did you ever consider the fact that maybe I don't want to lose you?

[Edmund and Brooke kiss]

Tad: I thought you weren't supposed to mess around in the lives of mere mortals.
Jesse: Well, not directly. That's the rule.
Tad: So why are you so prepared to break the rule?
Jesse: Well, it's the only way I can think of to derail this partnership between you and psychotic Leslie
Tad: Listen, if I don't use Leslie, then how am I going to nail David?
Jesse: Well, if we can prove that he's a drug dealer, you won't need to use Leslie.
Tad: This is true.
Jesse: Of course it's true, Tad. I mean, come on. Back in the day, there was a time, you and I, man, made a pretty good team.
Tad: Yeah, before you died and became a pain in the neck.
Jesse: Don't make me slap you, because I will lump you up.
Tad: All right, fine. We'll do it your way. Especially if it means getting rid of you and Hayward.
Jesse: Now you're talking. So could you, like, defuse the ticking bomb? Like yesterday, all right?

[Tad dials the phone]

[Phone rings]

Leslie: Hello?
Tad: Leslie? Uh -- it's Tad.
Leslie: Tad, it is so nice to hear your voice.
Tad: Well, listen, um -- there's been a slight change in plans, ok?
Leslie: Oh, no. Please, don't tell me that David's going to get away with this.
Tad: No, no, no. Uh -- it's just that we're -- we're going to go after David, but we're just going to have to put it on hold for a while.
Leslie: Oh. Well, ok. I mean, as long as we don't put it off for too long.
Tad: We won't.
Leslie: Because remember, you and I have very big plans.

ON THE NEXT - - - ALL MY CHILDREN

Leo: Why you defending Greenlee to me, Edmund?
Edmund: Why you attacking her?

Laura: I want you to stop being so mad at me and do me a favor.
Bianca: What kind of favor?

Simone: You're the best boss a girl could have.
Hayley: He's a pretty good husband, too.

Ryan: Liza, I know this is awkward --
Liza: Awkward? This is sick.
