Ryan: Thank you, Adrian, for helping me with all this stuff here.
Adrian: Yeah. Listen, Ryan, for the record --
Ryan: Adrian, Adrian, Adrian, you know what? I really don't want to talk about Gillian, all right?
Adrian: Yeah, ok. But you did do the right thing -- first by going to Chechnya and then leaving when you did. Gillian and Jake need to work this out for themselves, and you know it.
Ryan: I'm just happy I'm finally back here. I can concentrate on the company, keep us afloat.
Adrian: Yeah. All right.
Ryan: What the hell is this?

Jack: I'm going to give Barbara a call and see if there's anything that I can do. Bianca, did you want to speak with her?
Erica: Jack, why don't I call Barbara. I'm sure that she's devastated. And you stay with Bianca?
Jack: Sure.

Jack: Hey, kiddo. You do know that your father loved you more than anything else in the world, right?
Bianca: Uncle Jack, what's going to happen to me now?

Marian: Stop right where you are, Arlene.
Arlene: Oh, Marian, I'm going in to see my husband.
Marian: Oh, no, you're not.
Arlene: You know, I know that you're still angry at me, but your husband got over it and I hope you will, too.
Marian: "Over it"? If I could find a way to get you on a gurney with a toe tag, you'd be in one of those steel drawers in the basement so fast that what's left of your head would be spinning!

Adam: Hi.
Liza: Hello.
Adam: How long have you been here?
Liza: A while. You really -- you really should try to close your eyes and get some rest. I mean, that's what you need right now most of all.
Adam: What I need right now most of all is right in front of me. Oh, Liza. What's wrong? We have each other back. That's what we want, isn't it?

Arlene: Families need to rebuild, Marian, after a crisis, and threatening me is not the first step to reconciliation, now, is it?
Marian: You know, Arlene, I could really kill you for what you did to Stuart.
Arlene: Why don't you take the lead from Stuart? He's a saint.
Marian: Yes, he is. But I've got a news flash for you -- I'm not. And I will never forgive you or ever forget what you did. You got behind the wheel of your car drunk, you hit Stuart, and you left him to lie there in the road bleeding to death. And then, by some miraculous quirk of fate, you found out he was still alive and kept that information from everyone who loved him in his whole life. You know what they would have done to you in medieval times, Arlene, for doing something so horrible?
Arlene: All right, all right!
Marian: Don't you dare turn your back to me!
I'm talking to you. Arlene: Oh, would you just can it!
Marian: You can it!
Arlene: You know, I am trying to make peace with my husband just the way I did with yours.
Marian: Your husband is not interested in seeing you.
Arlene: Oh, the hell he is not interested. Look, I know I have messed up, but I was the one that brought Stuart to Adam when he needed him. And, Honey, I am not going to let that go unnoticed. Are you serious?
Marian: Oh, yes, Honey. I am deadly serious.

Adam: Liza, don't make me relapse.
Liza: Adam --
Adam: No, I'm just joking feebly. Sort of. Liza, I love you. You came to me here. You've stayed by my side. Doesn't that mean --
Liza: I -- I do love you. Adam, so much has happened. I mean, it was more than a fight or two or six. It was ugly and angry, and there was lying and deceit.
Adam: Come on. Let's not do that now.
Liza: I don't want to ignore the truth. And neither should you.
Adam: I know, I can't. I can't. We've been terrible to each other. We hurt each other terribly. I doubted your love. You doubted mine. But look at us right here, right now. We're here together. We got through all the pain and the hurt and the anger. And I am certain in my soul that everything has changed. I was a dead man. I went to hell, and I came back. I came back for you.
Liza: And how many times are we going to do this?
Adam: I know. A few hundred times I've said I've changed. Liza, this is different. My brother came back and mended my heart. It was a miracle. And now I am free to love you forever the way you deserve to be loved. All you have to do is let me in. And I'll never leave you again.

Leo: Ok, minor setback.

[Greenlee laughs]

Leo: Slight delay in lovemaking plans.
Greenlee: Leo -- look at you.
Leo: I'd rather look at you. Come on. We can still make love on dry land. The stars won't mind.
Greenlee: You have got to be kidding me.
Leo: Greenlee, come on. Don't let this ruin the mood, baby. Come on.
Greenlee: You smell like something died all over you.
Leo: No, it's just earthy. Come on, hold me.
Greenlee: You are so wet. You smell like an old fish tank.
Leo: Greenlee -- come on. Be adventurous. You know you want me.
Greenlee: I want you to get bleached.
Leo: I was in the water for, like, 10 seconds. You're sort of over exaggerating this whole stinky thing.
Greenlee: You could have leeches all over you.
Leo: Really?
Greenlee: Have you checked your pants?
Leo: I don't see anything.
Greenlee: I'm just going to let that one go.
Leo: So you're not going to kiss me like you did before?
Greenlee: Not even.
Leo: What if I go back to Erica's and disinfect and deodorize?
Greenlee: I'll kiss you like there's no tomorrow, pond scum.
Leo: Oh, baby, I love it when you talk dirty to me.
Greenlee: You know, I haven't had this much fun since I took an ax to a certain creep's computer center.
Leo: Wh-hoo!

Ryan: What do you mean, nobody's been here in a couple of days? I left Greenlee Smythe in charge of this place while I was -- well, where is she? She's not answering her cell phone. Who was watching the store while I was -- you know what? You know what? Just forget about this, all right? I'll deal with it. What?

Adrian: Well, from what I can see, this doesn't look like a theft.
Ryan: Well, what the hell does it look like?
Adrian: Payback.
Ryan: Payback? For what?
Adrian: Sounds like a question for you, Ryan, not me. Lt. Frye.
Derek: Who's your decorator?
Ryan: Hey, I was just about to report this. What, did one of my neighbors call you?
Derek: No.
Ryan: Oh. Well, then, why are you here? What -- do you know who did this to me?
Derek: Ryan, I have no idea. I'm here to arrest you for theft by unlawful disposition. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney and to have that attorney present during questioning. If you can't afford --
Derek: All right. That does it for your rights. Now, would you like that lawyer present before you start answering my questions?
Ryan: This has got to be some sort of joke.
Derek: Do I look like the kind of guy who jokes with the law?
Ryan: Derek, what the hell's going on here?
Derek: I'm arresting you because I got a bench warrant that allowed me to look at your company's books while you were off saving Eastern Europe. Nice cover, by the way.
Adrian: Derek -- that Chechnya operation was not a cover for anything illegal. I can attest to that.
Derek: Borrowing $3 million from your company's capital investment is illegal, however.
Ryan: That was my money. Ok, fine, it was my company's money. Same difference.
Derek: You know, the folks that fronted you that cash and the SEC -- They might have a different view of that, Ryan.
Ryan: All right, ok. Listen -- Derek, this is just some big misunderstanding. I was going to return the entire $3 million when I got back. It's the same as moving some money around. It's not like -- I don't know -- some big embezzlement scheme.
Adrian: Ryan, Ryan -- you might want to shut up sometime soon. Do you want me to call your lawyer for you?
Ryan: No! I don't want a lawyer because I didn't do anything wrong. Derek, I used the funds for an emergency. And, yes, they were temporarily out of the country, but I was going to bring them right back -- Derek, we were saving kids' lives. Would you please look at me? I'm trying to explain myself here!
Adrian: Ryan -- please -- before you really blow it.

Jack: Hey. Listen to me. You've got your mother and me, Barbara, Myrtle. You have a lot of people who love you and will look out for you. Just like my brother would want us to. Hey. I swear to you, you don't have to be afraid.
Bianca: But where am I going to live? I mean, my whole life was in Seattle with Daddy and Barbara and the kids. Oh, God! Daddy.
Jack: Come here. Come here. Bianca, I'm so, so sorry. But, listen, you do know that your mother loves you more than life itself and you will always have a home here with her. But, listen, it's too soon to talk about these things. We can discuss this and make decisions later, ok?
Bianca: Uncle Jack, Mom and I really haven't been getting along since I came here, and I just -- I said the most awful things to her tonight. I -- she doesn't know me the way Daddy did and -- oh, God. Uncle Jack.
Jack: Baby.
Bianca: I want my daddy back.

Leo: Erica's got company. I don't recognize that car. Ok, I'm going to sneak in and out of here and get my shower, and then I'm going to let you have your way with me.
Greenlee: You want me to wait out here?
Leo: No, come in. Since I've warmed you up and you're in a better mood, maybe you can come in and help Bianca through all this blue blood that's undoubtedly spilling all over this house tonight.
Greenlee: Please hurry.
Leo: Ok, ok. Goddess of the deep.
Greenlee: Scum lord.

Bianca: Leo! Oh, my God, Leo.
Leo: Bianca!
Bianca: My daddy's gone, Leo. My Dad is dead.

Arlene: Marian, you can block that door all night, but Adam is my husband and I will see him. So while we're waiting for you to budge, we could work on our relationship as sisters-in-law. Maybe even try to make up?
Marian: Arlene, you couldn't make up to me, not if you lived a hundred lifetimes. And as long as I'm standing here, you're not going to get into that room. Have you got that? Because that's the least I can do for my family.

Adam: Liza, I'm not overstating it. I died and came back. It was a miracle. My brother healed my heart and allowed me to love you really truly -- maybe for the first time. I don't think I've ever had a full heart before. And all I want to do is share it with you and Colby -- if you'll let me. You're worried about Colby and me, aren't you?
Liza: How am I supposed to just forget the things that you said to me about me, about my daughter, that you didn't want anything to do with me or her?
Adam: I said those things to protect you from me and what I'd become. But whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it. I never, never stopped loving you and Colby. I hid it. I stuffed it down. But I didn't kill it. And Stuart set it free. It was the most amazing thing. And now I want to give it to you. It's scary, I know, but I love you and I want to prove it if you'll just let me. Just say the word, and I'll love you forever.
Adam: Liza, what is it? Please, don't shut down on me now.
Liza: No, it's just -- it's just too soon, Adam. It's too soon to say these things, to know how I feel.
Adam: Is it?
Liza: I'm so grateful that you're ok. I'm so thankful to be sitting here with you and to hear so much love coming from inside of you after you haven't had anything inside you for so long. But I don't see us together. I don't have a reference point. I just -- I can't visualize it.
Adam: Well, then, just start over. Whole new context.
Liza: Hmm. It's as simple as that?
Adam: Yeah. Well, I don't know. Why don't we try and find out?
Liza: You're like a kid.
Adam: Well, that should be a step in the right direction, I would think.
Liza: Can I ask you a question?
Adam: Yes, of course.
Liza: When you were broken, when you were at your bottom, you didn't turn to me. Why? Why did you push me away?
Adam: I -- the only way I could cope was to turn away from you, Liza.
Liza: You didn't just turn away from me, did you?
Adam: Liza --
Liza: No, you turned to Arlene.
Adam: Yes. And I know that hurt you very deeply. I know it's small comfort to you now, but I did it to protect you from me.
Liza: You turned to Arlene. Do you know how warped that is?
Adam: Yeah. I betrayed you.
Liza: You know, I know that you didn't love her. It didn't even bother me that you were sleeping with her. Well, I mean, that's a lie. It did bother me. But I think what really hurt me -- what still hurts me -- is that you just -- you didn't turn to me. You told me that you didn't love me and that you never had.
Adam: Don't give up on me now.
Liza: Adam --
Adam: Wait, wait --
Liza: Even if you used Arlene as protection, I can't lean into that. I have to be wise. I have to protect my heart. I have to protect my child.
Adam: Dear God, Liza, we've been given a second chance. You're not going to just turn your back on that now?
Liza: I didn't say that.
Adam: You didn't?
Liza: No.
Adam: What did you say?
Liza: I didn't say no. I didn't say that we wouldn't find our way back to each other. But it takes time. Adam, it takes time to heal.
Adam: I know. I've wasted so much time already. I just -- I don't want to wait another second.
Liza: I haven't had your personal epiphany. I haven't seen the light. I haven't made my way back to myself, not yet.
Adam: Don't give up on me. Not now. Don't give up on us.
Liza: I can promise you that. I'm not going anywhere, and Colby's not, either. I've exhausted you, I think.
Adam: No. Good tired.
Liza: I think you should close your eyes and get some rest
Adam: Will you stay with me for a while?
Liza: I'll stay.
Adam: Ok.

Bianca: Leo, can I be alone with you for a few minutes?
Leo: Of course, yeah.

Greenlee: We had no idea.
Jack: Of course not. How could you have known?
Greenlee: I'm sorry, Jackson, about your brother.
Jack: Thank you, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Do you mind if I ask what happened to Blanca's father?
Erica: He had a massive stroke. The doctor said that there was nothing they could have done, that he -- there was no warning. There was no treatment. God, how could this be happening?

[Telephone rings]

Jack: Now what? Yeah, Jack Montgomery.
Ryan: Jackson, hey, it's Ryan Lavery. I'm being arrested.
Jack: What was that, Ryan?
Ryan: Listen, I'm at the loft, and they're arresting me for fraudulent something-or-other. I don't know. Listen, it's bogus. Can you meet me at the police station please? I need your help.
Jack: Just calm down. Calm down. Look, I'm right in the middle of a family crisis here. I'm not going to be able to be there for you tonight.
Ryan: Jackson, listen, I'm very sorry for whatever it is that you're going through right now, but Derek's about to take me down to the station.
Jack: Look, what I want you to do is just go with Derek. I'll take your case, but right now just go with him and do whatever he says. I'll be down at the station house first thing in the morning. It's too late to even get bail tonight, so --
Ryan: Jackson, wait a second. They're taking me out of here right now.
Jack: Ryan, I'll see you in the morning. Just don't say anything, ok? Bye.

Greenlee: Has Ryan Lavery been arrested?
Jack: Yeah. Yeah, he has. But I'm afraid he's going to be on his own tonight.

Ryan: Maybe an earthquake could help me out right now because it seems to be the only disaster I haven't encountered since I've been through customs.
Adrian: All right, what did Jackson say?
Ryan: He said he can't meet me till morning. Look, Derek, can I please just hang out here a little while, get organized, and then I'll meet with my lawyer in the morning. We'll come down to the station, and we'll straighten all of this out.
Derek: I'm sorry. Were you not paying attention? I just arrested you. You were read your rights. Now, my colleagues are going to take you downtown and they're going to book you, and then we're going to arraign you in night court. And if you need an attorney, we will get you one. Now, let's go. Come on, Ryan. You're not going to make this any uglier than it already is, are you?
Ryan: Derek, this is complete --
Adrian: Please, just go with him, all right? Plead not guilty, keep your mouth shut, and wait to hear from Jackson, ok?
Ryan: No. It's not ok. Would you let this loser railroad you if you were in my shoes?
Adam: Ryan, man, you are like a bad dream. Be quiet before they throw obstruction and resisting arrest at you.
Ryan: Where'd you come up with these charges? One of my competitors throw this at you? Who you been talking to, Derek?
Derek: You want to hear more details, Ryan? Because I got them.
Ryan: Yeah. I would love to hear more details, please.
Derek: All right. After you borrowed $3 million that wasn't yours from a corporate account set up in good faith by your investors, you replaced the cash with money that you thought could cover your tracks from an ample source we believe came from -- , illegal funds.
Ryan: Derek, do you realize I have not the slightest idea what the hell you're talking about?
Derek: Well, do you know what money laundering is?
Ryan: I know what a setup is! Wait a minute. Money laundering? What, are you serious? Like an organized crime scheme?
Derek: Well, we'll let a judge and a jury hear all the details and then let them decide. Now, let's go. Come on, Ryan. Don't be stupid.
Adrian: Ryan -- chill out, man.
Ryan: This is a setup! I'm being framed!
Derek: Ryan, let's go.

Leo: Your dad sounds like he was a really great guy.
Bianca: Yeah, he was. I mean, he was strict and everything, but --
Leo: You knew that he loved you. Bianca -- this is the worst, what's happened to you. But the fact that you had a father, even if it was for a short time, who you knew that loved you is a very cool thing. You will always have that. I'd give anything if I knew that my dad cared about me, even if it was for a minute. I know that that doesn't make any difference. But, Bianca, don't forget how your dad made you feel and how he made you and how he helped you become the really great person that you are.
Greenlee: Bianca, I'm -- I'm really sorry for your loss.
Leo: You ok?
Greenlee: I'm -- yeah, I'm going to go. I called a cab. I'll talk to you tomorrow?
Leo: Thanks, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Bianca, I know that we're not close, but if you need anything, I hope you'll ask me.
Bianca: Thank you.

Bianca: I can't believe he's gone, Leo. I just -- I can't believe it.

Erica: Bianca told you she's afraid of what might happen to her?
Jack: Yeah, she did, Erica. But you have to remember, she's all turned around right now.
Erica: But I'm her mother. And this is her home. I mean, she really -- she knows that. Jack, are you suggesting that Bianca doesn't want to stay here with me?
Jack: No, no, I'm not saying that at all. Sit down here a second. Please?
Erica: What?
Jack: We've all lost Travis, but I think for Bianca -- I mean, she was very, very close to her father, and I think this grieving process could be a very long one, maybe a very rough one. I think we need to be very careful with her.
Erica: I love her, Jack.
Jack: I know you do. I just don't know if your love is going to be enough to help right now.

Bianca: My dad didn't judge me, he just always accepted me as I was. He's so different than my mom. So different. I mean, God, no wonder they couldn't stay together. They were total opposites.
Leo: Sounds like your dad really took the time to get to -- just to see you for the person you are.
Bianca: He's the only person in the world that understood me, Leo. He accepted me. And I was going to tell him everything about --
Leo: About -- about what, Bianca?

Liza: Mama, I don't know what to do.
Marian: Liza, is that really true, or are you just asking my permission to do something risky?
Liza: Mom, I don't want you to play devil's advocate. I want you to tell me what you think.
Marian: Liza, ever since they brought Adam in here, you've been by his side. Every time he opens his eyes, you're there to talk to him. It appears to me that you're still in love with him. So when you tell me you don't know what to do, I think you're not being totally honest here.
Liza: Mother, I do love him. I loved him when I hated him all those weeks.
Marian: All right, then. Isn't that the bottom line? You love him, so why don't you start there and work backwards from that?
Liza: No, wait a second. You're the one who's been telling me to just walk away. What's with the about-face?
Marian: Maybe I'm trying to see Adam through Stuart's eyes.
Liza: Why?
Marian: Because he's never going to be like Stuart because he can't be, and I'm -- for Stuart's sake, I'm trying to accept Adam the way he is.
Liza: I prayed for Adam. I just didn't think it would work.
Marian: Aren't you glad you did?
Liza: There's so much that went wrong with us.
Marian: Oh, Darling, but there's so much that went right as well.
Liza: But do you trust in simple things like love?
Marian: I think we all need to do a lot more of that in our lives. I mean, I spent years -- literally years -- looking for something. I didn't even know what I was looking for. And suddenly Stuart was just there. So maybe Adam, scars and all, is just there for you, Liza.
Liza: I have to think of Colby. I don't want her in the middle when there's some storm between us. You have to think of your child. Your child comes first.
Marian: But what makes you think that putting Colby first means you have to cut Adam out?
Liza: Mother, I can't actually believe that I'm hearing this come from you.
Marian: Liza, Liza, listen to me. Adam -- he can't take back what he did, ok? But you can't walk away from your feelings. Now, isn't love a risk under any circumstances, and isn't this a risk that you have to take?

Ryan: Greenlee! God, you came through. Thank you. Can you believe this?
Greenlee: How the mighty have fallen.
Ryan: I've been trying to reach you for hours, Greenlee. The loft has been trashed.
Greenlee: No.
Ryan: Yes! Yes, the computer screens are practically chopped in half. I get home, and Derek tells me I've been arrested.
Greenlee: Well, that's a fine "Welcome home, Hero," isn't it?
Ryan: What's going on here?
Greenlee: With me or you?
Ryan: What? Listen, listen, my lawyer can't get here till morning, ok, so I need some help.
Greenlee: From Moi? Gee, Ry, what do you think I can do for you?
Ryan: Well, you can help find the guy who did this to me -- came up with these ridiculous charges. Greenlee, the cops are asking me if I have mob connections. Mob connections! Somebody's got it in for me.
Greenlee: Man, you got that right. You've been set up like a 10-pack of bowling pins, Mr. Lavery. You want to know who did the racking?
Ryan: Who?
Greenlee: You're looking at her.

Erica: Bianca? Could you and I talk for a moment? Please, Honey.

Marian: And, Darling, we've got one more great big fat problem.
Liza: What's that?
Marian: Arlene. She almost tackled me a few minutes ago to get into Adam's room.
Liza: I can handle Arlene.
Marian: Darling, I think she's plotting something.
Liza: Well, let her.
Marian: She's not going to give Adam up without a fight.
Liza: Ma, I'm not going to concern myself with Arlene, especially when I have to worry whether Adam and I can even just get over all the ugliness we've caused each other. I'm not going to concern myself with Arlene's convoluted schemes.

Adam: Doctor, I'd like to sleep some more if I could.
Arlene: But I have something for you, sir. For your pain.
