ALL MY CHILDREN

SEPTEMBER 21, 2001

PREVIOUSLY - - - - ON ALL MY CHILDREN

Chris: You think I'm putting one over on you?

David: You like living on the razor's edge, don't you, Anna?

Laura: This is Laura du Pres, Leo's wife.
Woman: I'm sorry. He left a while ago with Greenlee Smythe.

Winifred: Oh! Look at you! He's so cute.
Adam: Winifred, stand back and give the baby some air.
Hayley: Dad, for Pete's sake --
Winifred: I just want to see who he looks like, Sir.
Adam: He looks like me. Look at his chin. Have you done anything I'd asked you to do?
Winifred: Uh --
Adam: I asked you to bring everything here that Hayley would need for the baby so she wouldn't have to bring it herself when she came for a visit.
Winifred: I am working on that list, sir.
Adam: Is that answer to my question?
Hayley: Dad, why don't you try chilling out a little bit.
Adam: What did I do?
Hayley: You're barking like a madman. I suppose that means there's problems with you and Liza. Ahem.
Adam: Liza's out of town.

[Mateo chuckles]

Hayley: Oh.
Mateo: That explains it.
Adam: Well, what does that mean?
What -- what?
Mateo: Well, that explains it.
Hayley: What'd you do this time?
Adam: Why do you naturally assume that I did something?
Hayley: Who are we talking about here?
Mateo: Hayley, I bet you Lucretia wants to see the baby. Why don't you guys go ahead. Ready?
Hayley: Good boy.
Mateo: All right.
Winifred: Beautiful.
Mateo: Be careful with him, now.

Mateo: So, any word on Arlene?
Adam: No, no. I have someone on her 24/7. We'll know if she even thinks about coming into this country.
Mateo: Are you sure she's still in Europe?
Adam: Yes. Why? Did something happen while you were in Texas?
Mateo: No, I just -- you know, I got this phone call --
Adam: From Arlene?
Mateo: I don't know. There was no voice, and the weird thing is that someone played, you know, with the dial tone, the sound, "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You." I mean, that's weird as hell.
Adam: Who would do that but Arlene? Arlene called you.

Hayley: My mother called? Mateo, why didn't you tell me?

Chris: You rang?
Erica: Well, you took your time getting here. The computer program that Roger Smythe had Greenlee plant on the mainframe is still intact. Are you listening to me?
Chris: Yes.
Erica: Well, is there any new information?
Chris: I've already let you in on a lot of highly classified information, Ms. Kane.
Erica: Well, not enough. What have you found out from all the bugs you've planted?
Chris: You'll get that on a need-to-know basis.
Erica: Well I need to know. Anything collected in my company that way, I have a right to hear. I'd like a copy of all the surveillance tapes, Mr. Stamp.
Chris: Oh, is that so? Well, I just happen to have one right here. You see how accommodating I can be? Anything else?
Erica: Fine. Go. What?
Chris: I was wondering what you were thinking.
Erica: Didn't I just tell you?
Chris: About the kiss.
Erica: "The kiss"? My goodness, you make it sound like the Bible or the secret of life, which it wasn't.
Chris: Oh, really?
Erica: Frankly, Mr. Stamp, it wasn't that good.

David: Sorry, I'm late, Jake.
Jake: Hey.
David: Had a consult that I couldn't get out of. So, what are you drinking?
Jake: Seltzer.
David: Make my day, accept my offer, help me make the most out of the Warneford Chair, and I'll turn that into a glass of champagne.
Jake: I'll tell you what -- I'll pass on the champagne, but I will take the offer.
David: Glad to hear it. It's a great opportunity.
Jake: That's why I'm doing it.
David: I thought you'd be smart enough to accept my offer, so I have something here for you to catch up on regarding the research. There you go.
Jake: Wow. I'll try to get to it over the weekend.
David: You're going to have to do it a hell of a lot faster than that. We have a meeting tomorrow morning at 9:00.

Jake: Hi.
David: Anna.
Anna: Dr. Hayward.
David: If I didn't know better, I'd think that you were stalking me.

Woman: Mrs. du Pres? Would you like to leave a message for Leo? Hello?

Greenlee's voice: You're scared. That's why you were laughing.
Leo's voice: No. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you lose.
Greenlee's voice: Oh, you think I'm going to lose? Come on. You want me so bad, you can taste it.
Leo's voice: Huh.
Greenlee's voice: I mean, you're not getting anything from Laura, am I right?

[Beeping]

Automated voice: If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and dial again.

[Beeping]

Laura: Don't do it, Leo. Not with her.

Greenlee: Tell me it's me. Tell me it's only me. Leo, tell me you love me. Say my name and tell me you never loved her at all.
Leo: I told you --
Greenlee: I missed this -- the way you feel, the way we make each other feel.
Leo: I told you how I feel, Greenlee, but you don't listen. As much as I want you, as much as you get off thinking --
Greenlee: Oh, my God.
Leo: It isn't -- it's just meaningless.
Greenlee: Meaningless? Leo, I love you. No matter what I've ever said to you before, that never, ever changed. Why are you doing this now? How long are we going to keep torturing each other? I can't live like this anymore.
Leo: Then don't.
Greenlee: Leo, I just told you that I loved you. You just kissed me like --
Leo: Like it was nothing. It's over. Move on.
Greenlee: I don't want to move on, Leo. I've waited my whole life for someone like you. No, not someone like you. For you, Leo.
Leo: Well, then, you're making a mistake,
Greenlee, because I'm not the one. Not for you, ok? And unless I start making some changes and start acting like a responsible adult, I'm going to end up just like my mother -- empty and alone. And I have to tell you that's not what I want.
Greenlee: Listen to me, you idiot. You messed up and you paid for it. You lost me, and I kicked you out, and I made you feel awful about who you used to be, and so you married Laura in some crazy attempt to get your self-esteem back. But, Leo, it's totally backfired.
Leo: I didn't marry Laura for me. I -- she's alive --
Greenlee: Because of you.
Leo: Yes! Greenlee: You went from devil to saint in one really ill-conceived "I do," and now you feel like you're responsible for her.
Leo: Don't -- don't -- let me tell you how I feel about Laura, ok?
Greenlee: Laura? You want me to tell you how she makes you feel? Trapped. You're -- you're a prisoner of your own good intentions.
Leo: I made a commitment.
Greenlee: To what? Unraveling your soul? Every day that you spend with her, a piece of you dies off. I mean, look at you. You're shriveling up. You're losing your sense of self. You're putting your sexuality on hold --
Leo: I made love to my wife right here in this car last night. And it was like nothing that I've ever experienced before, Greenlee. Everything about it was good.
Greenlee: Liar. Why did you bring me here? Why did you bring me to some stinking place in this car where you made love to your wife?
Leo: I wanted to talk to you.
Greenlee: Liar! How could you be so horrible to me? How could you drag me off and kiss me here and then throw this garbage in my face about making love here in this car with Laura? And then telling me it was better than anything we'd ever done? Is the only way to get me out of your heart is to wreck me? Tell me, Leo. Tell me what you're getting out of hurting me so bad. Tell me, damn it!

[Laura remembers Leo making love to her in the car and imagines he saw Greenlee instead of her]

Laura: No. It was me. He was making love to me.

Chris: I wasn't good? You mean I'm not a good kisser? Wounded to my core.
Erica: Oh, stuff a sock in it, Romeo. And don't be too hard on yourself. Many have tried.
Chris: And many have failed.
Erica: Yes.
Chris: You must get kissed a lot, Ms. Kane.
Erica: I get kissed when I allow it. And sometimes, like with you, I get caught off guard and I get kissed. But I recover pretty quickly, and anyway-- well, you tried.
Chris: A woman of international mystery. Who can ever satisfy her?
Erica: Ugh. Don't be crude.
Chris: I'm being honest. You are world renowned, and you have a standard you uphold.
Erica: Just don't spring another kiss on me uninvited.
Chris: Is there an invitation forthcoming?
Erica: Not from this zip code.
Chris: Does that mean I don't get a second chance?
Erica: Are you serious?
Chris: Oh, come on. I'm much better the second time around, like love. It's the name of a song. Don't get your knickers in a knot.
Erica: My knickers are not in a knot.
Chris: Have dinner with me. Come on.
Erica: This is so inappropriate.
Chris: Oh, come on, be a sport. You won't be disappointed.
Erica: How arrogant!
Chris: It's the truth.

[Erica scoffs]

Erica: When did you want to have dinner?
Chris: Well, I have to eat tonight. How about you?
Erica: Tonight I have a dinner engagement with an out-of-town ad exec --
Chris: Oh, some old coot from Chicago who has a wife and kids at home but is so thrilled -- as well he should be -- to be sitting across from you at a restaurant that he acts like he's at his prom with Sophia Loren?

[Chris whistles]

Chris: What a fun night that would be.
Erica: Well, what time did you want to go out?
Chris: I'm sorry. I can't do tonight. I have to work at S.O.S.
Erica: Oh, Mr. Stamp, look, I am not going to play this game with you.
Chris: What game?
Erica: Whatever game you think it is that we are playing. You know why I'm not going to play this with you?
Chris: No. Why?
Erica: Because unfair advantage to me. I invented this game.
Chris: Oh, well, then, in that case, I'm going to go home right after work and start practicing. Aren't you?
Erica: Practice what?
Chris: My kissing. I'll use my pillow. Just as long as you don't let that old coot put a move on you over the Crème Brulee.

Anna: I came to see my brother, if you must know. He works here.
David: Your brother who steals books?
Anna: He didn't steal the book, for God's sake. It was in the hallway outside your room. Since we live at the Valley Inn, too, now, he just --
Jake: So, Anna, when did that happen?
Anna: We just moved there last week.
Gabriel: Excuse me. I don't need you saying that I stole anything. I have enough problems as it is.
David: Gabriel, right?
Gabriel: Right.
David: Well, I was just wondering, Gabriel, what boy your age borrows medical textbooks?
Gabriel: I saw it, I read it, I gave it back to Anna to give to you, ok?
David: You read it? The entire textbook?
Gabriel: Yes. It's the latest release on stem cell research. I went to the library to get it out, and they said that it was on reserve for doctors.
David: How did you know that -- that it was the latest release?
Gabriel: Why do you care? Look, I read it. Next time I'll wait.
David: So this is of interest to you?
Gabriel: Yes, I like science.
Jake: David, lay off him. What's the big deal?
David: Nothing. No big deal at all, actually. I'm just, I guess, a little surprised.
Anna: Or impressed? Impressed? Could you cop to that?

David: So tell me, Gabriel, what branch of medicine are you most interested -- ah. Well. Yeah, I always have a difficult time choosing between science and a beautiful woman. It's usually a dead heat.
Jake: Oh, man.
David: What, did you say something, Jake?
Jake: Just watching the case study unfold, David.

Anna: Why don't you go speak to her? I'm sure she'll want to see you.

[Kids laugh]

Rosa: Great.
Gabriel: Who are they?
Rosa: Nobody. Just some losers from school. I don't care anyway.
Gabriel: I left some messages for you at your house.
Rosa: Yeah, I know. I -- I just --
Gabriel: Why didn't you call me back?
Rosa: I don't know.

[Kids laugh]

Gabriel: You know, people do that to me all the time. Just ignore it.
Rosa: Do they call you a whore?
Gabriel: What? Why would they call you that if Marcus is the one that did it?
Rosa: Look, Gabriel, I guess that's just how stuff goes, right? I -- I can't talk about this right now, ok?

David: Anna, I'm trying to convince my new colleague here to join me in a celebratory glass of champagne, but he's resisting. Maybe you'd like to join us.
Anna: No. What are you celebrating?
Jake: Well, I just accepted David's offer at the hospital.
David: That's right -- a position with me. I guess I made Jake an offer that even he couldn't refuse.
Anna: Really? You're not used to hearing no, are you?

Mateo: We -- we got a couple hang-ups, that's all. It --
Hayley: What makes you think it's my mother?
Adam: We're on alert with Arlene. You have to know that.
Hayley: Oh, I see. I know why we're here now. You don't want us alone. You dragged us here because you have to work tonight and you want him to baby-sit us while you're gone because you don't want us alone.
Mateo: Uh -- well, you know, she did get to you guys in the hospital. Arlene -- you know, I -- as long as I don't know she's gone for sure and she's not coming back --
Hayley: Well, there's no way to really know that for sure, right?
Adam: Yes, we know for sure.
Hayley: Oh, and what is that supposed to mean?
Adam: It just means I'm handling Arlene.
Hayley: Did you have something done to her again?
Mateo: He has someone tailing her so we know where she is, when, all that good stuff. That's it. Ok?

Winifred: Oh, excuse me, Mr. Chandler. You have a call on your private line.
Adam: Is it Liza?
Winifred: Um, no, no, no. It's Fahid from Singapore. He says it's an emergency.
Adam: Oh. Oh, yes. Sorry. I have to take this. It's business.

Mateo: Uh -- Adam, I've got to go to the club. So you're going to keep an eye on Hayley and the baby, right?
Adam: Yes, yes!
Mateo: You're sure --
Adam: They are safe here. You know that.
Mateo: Ok. All right.

Mateo: Good-bye, little guy.
Hayley: Don't stay out late.
Mateo: I won't.

Mateo: Oh, hey, Stuart. Come on in.
Stuart: Hi.
Mateo: Guess who's here? My kid. Yeah, go. Ok.

Stuart: Oh. How's the guy?
Hayley: He's great.
Stuart: He is great.
Hayley: Yeah.
Stuart: How was Texas?
Hayley: Oh, we had a wonderful time. Max -- he loves his baby brother. In fact, we flew him up here. You know, he's going to stay at his Grandma's until we have the christening so he can be with us. Why are you looking at me like that?
Stuart: Oh. I was just thinking about who you were when you first came here to town and who you are today.
Hayley: Hmm. Seems like a different lifetime ago.
Stuart: Oh, you were a wild one.
Hayley: Hmm. I was an angry one. I never want to be that angry again. I don't want to be anything like that girl ever again. Hold him for me, Uncle Stuart, please?
Stuart: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Hayley: Thanks.
Stuart: Hayley?
Hayley: Just keep him away from me for a minute.
Stuart: What's wrong?
Hayley: I just don't want him near me.
Stuart: Hayley, why are you crying?
Hayley: I don't know. This has been going on since I had him. One minute I feel like my heart is so full it could explode, and then -- and then the next minute I -- I feel like I can't even take care of him.
Stuart: That is so normal. When I volunteer at the hospital or the hospice, I see lots of new moms. And they're all crying away. It's because -- it's because they think it's going to be a piece of cake, and then when it isn't, they get scared and they start crying. But they all -- or almost all of them turn out to be really great moms. And so are you. I can tell.
Hayley: I am scared. I'm scared because -- I don't know. I just -- I don't even know if I can be there for him. You know what I mean? Be there for him? You know, because I can hear him cry, and I just freeze. I freeze. I haven't even told this to Mateo.
Stuart: Ok, well, tell it to me. Tell me, then.
Hayley: Sometimes I hear the baby cry, and it stirs up thoughts in me that -- things and emotions in me that I haven't felt for a really long time. You know, stuff that I thought I had all worked out.
Stuart: Yeah.
Hayley: Stuff that I thought I worked through a long time ago. And it makes me scared.
Stuart: Ok, ok, ok. No just what are you scared of?
Hayley: I'm scared that I won't be able to handle it.
Stuart: What, being a mom?
Hayley: Staying sober.

Mateo: You know, I should have been watching him, not you. I had a feeling about that guy. I really did. And I should have just trusted it.
Rosa: Look, you and I both know that I would have just thrown a huge hissy fit if you tried to --
Mateo: Yeah. Absolutely. I know you would have. Huge.
Rosa: You know, I had no idea of knowing that Marcus was going to turn out that way. He was really cool up until then.
Mateo: I know. I'm really proud of the person that you turned out to be, though.
Rosa: Please, I am so not anybody --
Mateo: No. Come on. Hayley and I think you're the -- the bomb.
Rosa: You are so uncool.
Mateo: I know. I said that on purpose. I'm not that uncool.
Rosa: Oh, sure.
Mateo: You know what else?
Rosa: If you say that you're down with being my big bro, I am going to run out of here screaming.
Mateo: No, no, no, no. I want you to be the Godmother of my child, of my son. Oh. She shuts up finally.
Rosa: Shut up.
Mateo: No, you shut up.
Rosa: Are you serious?
Mateo: Well? I mean, who else would we want to be his Godmother? I couldn't think of anybody better for him to look up to than his Aunt Rosa.
Rosa: Mateo --

Anna: I really like the way you held your own with Dr. Hayward.
Gabriel: Thank you.
Anna: Yeah.
Gabriel: Tell me this -- why's he so conceited? I -- don't get me wrong. I know that he's the most respected heart doctor in the whole world. But does he really think he's God's gift to man? Or woman.
Gabriel: Anna?

[Anna sees Chris]

Anna: I remember you. I do know who you are.
Leo: I'm not trying to hurt you, Greenlee. I'm just trying to make sense of this.
Greenlee: Shut up, Leo. You're trying to justify staying with someone who bores you to tears instead of admitting to yourself that you could actually have it all with me.
Leo: You bore me. You and this endless quest for what -- validation through seduction? Is that it? You're beautiful. You're one of the most beautiful women I've ever met, Greenlee, but that's not enough. You're empty inside.
Greenlee: Oh, my God.
Leo: You're like this bottomless pit of insecurity that just can't be filled. And I've finally come to the conclusion that I can't be the poor schmuck that tries.
Greenlee: How can you do this to me?
Leo: Nah, you're doing this to yourself, Sweetie. Hell, you're living with Jake now. Why don't you let him fill you up?
Greenlee: Now this is about Jake?
Leo: No. This is about me. This is about me trying to tell you as plainly and as clearly as I can that it's over! It's done! We're done!

[Greenlee cries]

[Laura sees Leo comforting Greenlee and imagines attacking Greenlee]

Laura: You lied to me --
Leo: Laura.
Laura: About everything. And you, you slut -- back off!

[Greenlee screams]

Leo: Laura, stop! What are you doing?
Greenlee: Let go of me!
Leo: Let go of her!

Greenlee: Leo --
Leo: Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
Greenlee: Get your hands off of me. Get them off of me.
Leo: Greenlee, I'm sorry that I --
Greenlee: No, no more words.
Leo: Greenlee, please, just --
Greenlee: Shut up and take me home! Drive, damn it!

[Car engine starts]

Gabriel: Anna --
Chris: You want to tell your brother it's ok?
Anna: It's ok. I just want to speak to Mr. Stamp here.

Anna: You lied. You said we'd never met before. But I remember you. Admit it, or I will make such a scene.
Chris: You must've been one rotten undercover agent, Mrs. Scorpio, or you'd know better to compromise any Op in a public place this way.
Anna: Perfect.
David: So, what do you have against him? Although I'm happy to see it's not just me.
Anna: Mind your own business. Could you manage that?

Opal: Erica? Erica, you will not believe what Palmer's sorry excuse for a trophy wife was wearing at the Valley Inn for lunch today.
Erica: Oh, no, I can't even imagine.
Opal: Diamond earrings the size of mangos and this ruby necklace on this hideous silver chunk chain. I mean, it looked like a dog collar.
Erica: Opal, why are you here?
Opal: I am here to prove my point -- that my ex is married to a harpy that is turning him into a laughingstock.
Erica: What does any of this got to do with you, Opal, or with me?
Opal: Are you for real? This has everything to do with me, Erica, and nothing to do with you for once. My life is falling apart!
Erica: Well, Opal, your life is falling apart because you're letting it, ok? Because -- because you're not moving on.
Opal: How so?
Erica: Well, look at me. I'm moving on. I mean, not that I think that there's a future with him, but --
Opal: Him? Who? Palmer?
Erica: Palmer?
Opal: Aren't we talking about me here?
Erica: Well, I was talking about me and Chris Stamp.
Opal: Chris Stamp? What, your driver?
Erica: My general factotum.
Opal: Oh, well, here's a little factotum for you, Missy -- he ain't your type. Not one lick.

Stuart: Hayley, I know you're scared. And you're facing new challenges every day. And I know not taking a drink is something that you deal with every day.
Hayley: Oh, it really is. It is.
Stuart: But it's going to be fine. You'll be fine. You know, you're going to be more than fine because it's not just about you anymore. It's about your baby, too.
Hayley: You know, I completely forgot why I called you over here. I asked Marian to call you over here because I have a favor to ask of you, and instead I wind up having a pity party all over your head.
Stuart: What was the favor?
Hayley: I think it's a good one. Mateo and I would like for you to be the baby's Godfather.
Stuart: You do? Me?
Hayley: Oh, yeah.
Stuart: Well, that would be great. That would be very, very, very nice. But why me?
Hayley: Because, next to my husband, you're the best person I know.
Stuart: Oh.
Hayley: Thank you, Uncle Stuart. Thank you.

[Baby cries]

Stuart: Well, aren't you going to pick up your baby?

[Baby cries]

Hayley: Mommy. Mommy's boy. Don't cry. Don't cry. Mommy's here. Mommy's here. Yes.

[Baby stops crying]

Hayley: Are you scared? You don't have to be scared. You don't have to be scared. Mommy's here, and I'm never going to leave you. You'll never have to worry about anything. I love him so much, Uncle Stuart.
Stuart: He knows you do.

Opal: What, you're thinking of having an affair with this guy now?
Erica: No.
Opal: Well, what, then? I mean, you're from two different worlds.
Erica: Oh, like you and Palmer aren't?
Opal: Look what happened to us. Do you think she's drugging him?
Erica: Who?
Opal: Vanessa. You think maybe she's -- she's drugging him with some kind of snake oil aphrodisiacal kind of thing? I mean, how else could a shrew like her hang on to a guy like Palmer all this time? Oh, maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
Erica: Opal, have you been drinking those Long Island iced teas again?
Opal: No. We just got to cherish our memories, you and me.
Erica: Me? What does this have to do with me? Cherish what memories?
Opal: Our memories of love gone by. Memories of lost love gone by, never again to be reclaimed.
Erica: Are you kidding? Opal, you're making me sick to my stomach. Now, you listen to me. There is no way that love is going to be "gone by" for me. Do you hear me?

David: Are you guys leaving?
Anna: Yeah. I came to thank Mateo for giving Gabriel his job back, and now we're leaving. Is that all right with you?
David: Well, I figured since we're all living in the same place, we could walk home together.
Anna: Why?
David: I could talk to Gabriel about his interest in stem cell research.
Anna: Oh. Gabriel?
Gabriel: Why not?

David: Tomorrow morning, Jake.
Jake: See you then.

Greenlee: Hey. I am so glad you're still here.
Jake: What's going on? You're looking like you're freaked.
Greenlee: Yeah, I am. I can't even pretend I'm not upset.
Jake: Talk to me.
Greenlee: Well, I ran into Leo, and it was a disaster. I mean, it couldn't have been worse. But the whole way here I was thinking, "I have Jake. I have Jake to come home to. I don't have to worry." So, you done here with David?
Jake: Yeah.
Greenlee: Good. Good. Let's go home, go to bed.
Jake: Greenlee, listen -- I'm happy, really, to talk to you about what's happened, but I'm not going to take you to bed.
Greenlee: Since when?
Jake: Since now.
Greenlee: It's over with Leo, Jake. 100% Finished.
Jake: So, tell me.
Greenlee: I don't want to talk about it. I want to forget about it.
Jake: With sex with me?
Greenlee: You said you didn't have a problem with that before.
Jake: Well, I didn't.
Greenlee: And now?
Jake: I do.

Laura's voice: I'm feeling a little fuzzy, fluttery.
Leo: Well, do you want me to call David, have him come back and check you out again?
Laura: No, no. He said that I'd get thirsty and tired. It's one of the side effects from missing my meds earlier.
Leo's voice: Ok --
Laura's voice: As long as I take the pills, I'll be ok.

Laura: If you stay away from Greenlee, I won't have to get sick again.

Hayley: Yes, sweet. Yeah. Thank you for being here for us, Stuart.
Stuart: Oh, no problem. Thank you for asking me to be his Godfather. I'm so honored.
Hayley: Oh, no, no. We're honored. Aren't we? Yeah? Is it really going to be ok?
Stuart: Everything's going to be ok.
Stuart: Look at his beautiful eyes.

Mateo: No, I'm telling you, Chris isn't here, Erica.
Erica: Well, he said that he was working there tonight.
Mateo: He kind of comes and goes as he pleases, you know? I can leave a message for you if you want. When he gets back, I'll tell him you called.
Erica: No. No, no. No, thank you. I -- I'm going to deliver this one myself.

[Phone rings]

Mateo: S.O.S.
Man: [Disguised voice] Congratulations, Mr. Santos. Your club is a success.
Mateo: Who is this?

[Caller hangs up]

Jake: I wanted to take what we have for what it is.
Greenlee: Cheap, Meaningless?
Jake: No, no, I never said that.
Greenlee: Leo did. He said I'm empty and nothing can fill me up.
Jake: Oh, Greenlee, I'm sorry.
Greenlee: No. No, no, no. Don't.
Jake: Listen, I care about you. You know that.
Greenlee: Yeah, I do, I do. You know what else? You deserve so much better. I can't do this.

Leo: Laura? Where are you?
